In middle school I was a really big fan of the movie m*moirs of a g*isha and my mom’s friend had a copy of it so I used to watch it all the time when she used to leave me at his house while they were both at work. And I loved it sm that I bought the book around that time but a few years later I read on here, I believe, that m&neko iw*saki didn’t give the old white dude who wrote the book permission to include a lot of the things he did. So the summer of like ‘16 I finally got the opportunity to buy HER telling of her life on a trip and I read a little bit of it and then never picked it up again bc I’m stupid........

#and i've been bringing it to college w me w the intention to read it for the past 3 yrs & im barely deciding to do it rn bc i feel bad just #relying on my friend's hotspot to entertain myself.....#man i miss when i used to actually read a whole bunch in middle school...#i used to finish like 400+ pg books in like 2 days & now i barely read whats mandatory for classes :'(((#i also luckily had the chance to buy nayyirah waheed's salt years ago bc she shared this discount she had on am*zon a few yrs back #and i've been trying to buy nejma but its a little harder to find :'((#doesnt look like shes going to come out w anything new anytime soon either #anyways white men stay away from woc & also support nayyirah waheed instead of thief r*pi k*ur! :)#dl #im losing it w no one to talk to sorry for all the text posts....ouoghh
