C for Commoner
Tumblr media
I've created an ABC list for Ikemen Prince ranging from humorous crack-fic ideas to the smutty, with a dash of drama and angst. 26 letters of the alphabet x 13 characters / 12 months = 1 year of drabbles, headcanons, and creating with these men in mind.

Chevalier
I once read an explanation trumping claims that autism is a modern disorder that had said something along the lines of, ‘Neurodivergent people have always existed, it's just that they have nowhere to hide now. Instead of having your weird cousin Paul who doesn't talk out watching the sheep, we've put him in the middle of constant stimulation and expect him to work a normal job.’ When I was trying to imagine Chevalier being a commoner, this was what came to mind.
Chevalier is a genius. I also believe he's autistic-coded. I think he'd excel in any job field that doesn't require talking to others. If he happens to have a profession where he is expected to interact with people, he'd find a way to manage it without the need for speaking. People would assume he's mute, but he's simply non-verbal. I think that he also wouldn't have much in the way of ambitions. He just wants to live his life within the rules and do what is expected of him.
So I made him a bookstore clerk.
He's ridiculously handsome - the man who tends the bookstore that you've been visiting since a young child. He was there back then as well, and even when he was a teenage boy you had thought he was prettier than most others. A funny coincidence that you too are a bookstore clerk now that you've grown into a working adult.
He was always reading, he still is always reading. His words are saved for times when the two of you can discuss literature without interruption. You had once thought he couldn't speak, back when you were younger and attempted to make friends with him. He had looked at you with those icy blue eyes and given you his attention but didn't utter a word. He was always listening to you, even when you thought he wasn't. His attention has always been on you once you were older and blossoming into adulthood.
He always looks so forlorn. A perpetual frown on his lips and his somber silence matched with his cold stare makes him look ethereal. Like he doesn't belong of this world and mourns the place he came from. But you've seen him smile. You've seen the way his eyes light up when he's looking at you when you're sharing your thoughts and gushing about love stories. They're small gestures, but that's when he looks most alive to you. You love that look. You love him. Maybe someday you'll have the courage to tell him, but secretly you wish he would share those words with you first.

Title: A Smutty Fanfic
Pairing: Levi x Reader
Fandom: Obey Me!
Genre: Smut
Written by @rikumorimachisgirl
Word count: 1,500
Disclaimer: I do not own Obey Me or its characters, but this story was wholly my idea.
A/N: This is my very first Obey Me fic. I hope you like it.
Tumblr media
This was the worst!
You skimmed through the half-filled Doodle Note on your DDD and sighed. The fic you were writing was due in two days, and you were nowhere near completing it.
Maybe I should just quit, you thought to yourself with another long sigh. After all, I've never written something like this before.
"Oi! I can't focus on my game with all that sighing in the background!"
You tore your gaze away from your phone and looked at the purple-haired demon, who was glaring at you from where he was seated at the bottom of his bed. In the past three months that you've been living as an exchange student in Devildom, you've grown fond of all your housemates at the House of Lamentation - especially Levi.
Tonight, you hung out in his room like always, tinkering with your DDD while watching him play. Only, your mind was elsewhere and he didn't seem to like it.
"Oops! Sorry, " you said, flustered. "I can leave the room -"
"That's not what I meant." With the game controller still in his hand, he plopped onto his bed just a bit short of where you were seated and looked at you curiously. "Are you bored? I asked you earlier if you wanted to play 'Tour of Duty', but you didn't want to."
"It's not that."
"Then what's the problem?"
"It's nothing, " you dismissed, hiding your DDD away. "Anyway, shouldn't you be playing?"
"Hmm, I don't know. I think I'm more interested to find out what's gotten you in a bind, " he said before tossing the controller to one side. "So what's up?"
"I told you, it's no biggie, " you insisted. As you struggled to come up with an excuse, he caught your wrist and pried the DDD from your hand. "Hey!"
"Oho! You're keeping secrets from me now? You don't get to do that, normie. After all, I am your senpai, " he said with a suppressed laugh as he scanned through your notes with one hand while keeping you at bay with the other.
"Give that back, Levi!"
"Let's see… 'Go on, Davin. I won't stop you.', " he started reading out loud, much to your horror.
He was reading it - your sorry attempt at writing a fanfic! "Stop it, " you cried out, as you dove to retrieve your DDD and what little dignity you had left.
"You're writing a fic about your Doctor Love bias! I'll read some more. He kissed her non-stop as he laid her on the bed. After what seemed like forever, he stripped her off her clothes and climbed on top of her…"
You shut your eyes as he continued to read what you'd written, silently wishing that Diavolo would magically appear and zap you back to the human world. You were so wrapped up in your wishes, you failed to notice that the room had become dead silent and that Levi was handing you back your phone.
"Don't laugh, " you nearly growled at him as you snatched your DDD back.
"I couldn't if I wanted, " he replied. "That… that's a smutty fanfic you're writing. I didn't know you were into those…"
"Asmo made me do it! He made me join his Post-Valentine's Day event -"
"Lust Fest?" The dashing Otaku exclaimed as he looked at you wide-eyed. "Why the heck did you sign up… and more importantly, this type of writing is even worse than a noob's. I mean, you could do a better job of describing what's happening or how the characters are feeling. That right there looks like it'd been written by a virgin."
His snide comment made you wince. Taking a deep breath, you square your shoulders and glanced at him. "I can't help that, " you said, trying your best not to blush. "I am a virgin."
"Oh, " he said quietly as he stared at his feet to hide his embarrassment. "I didn't know. Sorry."
"That's fine. Maybe I can head over to Lucifer and ask him to help me with this."
He gripped your wrist once more, just as you were getting out of bed. "Why Lucifer?"
You looked at him quizzically and tilted your head to one side. "Uh… because he looks like he's got a ton of experience -"
He yanked on your wrist so you'd fallen on his lap. Before you finished your sentence, his mouth had claimed yours, moving hungrily, claiming every inch of your being. Holding you close, he swallowed your gasp and thrust his tongue into your mouth to seek yours.
"Don't go to Lucifer, " he said in between kisses. "Stay with me. I'll help you out. Is that okay?"
You managed a small nod before he moved his attention from your lips to your neck. As he sucked on a sensitive spot, you let out a moan and immediately clamped your hand over your mouth.
"Don't cover your mouth. I want to hear you moan for me, " he whispered, before lapping at your neck while slowly unbuttoning your pajama top. "Tell me what I just did."
"You… you… marked me. I-It felt good…"
"Really? What about now?" He made short work of opening your top, and his hands were soon on your breasts, kneading and rolling your nipples between his fingers. "I wonder if your nipples taste as sweet as your mouth is." He blew on one of your pebbled nipples before taking one of them into his mouth, and you felt your panties get soaked. He sucked and laved his warm tongue over your pink nipples one at a time, while you buck against him wildly. "Does this feel good? Tell me!" His voice was raw with lust as he tore your top away and moved you so he had a full view of your naked top.
You wanted to tell him how wonderful it felt, how your toes curled as he sucked on your breasts, and how you've discovered an invisible connection between your breasts and your pussy… but all you could utter was a moan.
"You're beautiful, " he said, smiling before you tangled your fingers on his hair and pulled him back so he could lavish your breasts once more. As he flicked his tongue against your hard nipples, you bucked your hips against his hardened cock. The sensation made him groan and he bit your nipple and sucked on it hard.
Slowly, he laid you on his bed and ran his hand down your body, over your soft plains and curves, and palmed your soaking pussy over your damp pajamas. You arched against his touch and sought more.
"You're okay with this," he asked.
"You're asking that now," you quipped. "Teach me, Senpai. I'm all yours."
Those three words were all it took to break his last barrier of restraint. "I want you. I've wanted you for so long, " he said roughly as he removed your bottoms and his clothes and tossed them on the floor. He planted kisses on your lips, your neck, the valley between your breasts, down your belly, before he stopped to look up at her. With a sly smile on his lips, he slowly turned his attention back to your pussy and removed your soaking panties with his teeth.
It was slow torture, he was aware. As he caught a whiff of your arousal, he cursed himself for not being a total noob at these things. Sighing, he tore the offending garment off.
You watched as he licked his lips and you tangled your fingers on the pillow, holding your breath,  waiting for his next move.
"Relax, normie. Trust me, you'll like it, " he said before he dipped his head between your legs and nuzzled his nose against your clit, taking in as much of your scent as he can before you felt warm wet tongue part your folds and  lick your essence.
"Don't stop… don't stop…"
He sucked and slurped every drop of your essence. "Levi, please… I want more!"
"Just a little while longer, " he said, sliding a finger inside you. You gasped and arched your back as he pumped in and out your pussy. "Does this feel good? I'll make you feel even better." He sealed his promise by sucking on your clit as his fingers thrust in and out of you faster. He knew you were close, he could feel your muscles start to contract, he curled his finger inside you and felt you shatter around him. You cried out his name and bucked thrashed beneath him, riding out your orgasm.
A few minutes later, you laid side by side, breathing heavily as your bodies covered in a thin sheen of sweat.
"That… That was amazing, Levi."
"See? You really didn't need Lucifer for that right, " he said cockily, as he rested his head on your arm. "I can give you all the orgasm you'll ever need."
"But I didn't need Lucifer for this, " you pointed out, much to his surprise. "I was gonna ask him to proofread my work. You're the only one I want."
"Proofread?"
You nodded, and swept his bangs to one side. "Absolutely. You're the only one I want." You smiled at your boyfriend, who was now blushing furiously. "But now I think I can do even better. I think I can write a smutty fanfic… All thanks to you."
The end.

I think something that is difficult for some folks to understand is the difference between excluding someone because of something inherent about them, and excluding them due to something they've chosen. And I think the confusion happens because many people think that those inherent traits COME with ethical status.
Disability, race, gender, sexuality - all of these come with moral judgements from the ruling class. People genuinely think that you somehow opt into these groups by choice, or that by being from one of these groups you are inherently amoral.
So when we say "I don't associate with Republicans because of their political views which reflect on their morals", they see that as equivalent of choosing not to associate with a gay person because of their morals - because to them, being gay is choice, and an amoral one at that.

Look... I know that the war in Afghanistan wasn't being fought for bright shiny reasons. I know it was about oil and control and all of that. But I thought that at least SOME good was coming from it. I thought we were strengthening their army. I thought we had pushed back the Taliban and Al Qaeda. I thought, if we left, they were supposed to be able to defend themselves. I thought we were building them up. And to see the message Biden said today... for him to claim we'd completed our mission 20 years ago?? Watching the entire country fall the instant we left?? Everything was a lie. We went over there for lies. People I know have PTSD for a lie. Thousands of Americans died for a LIE. And that's not even touching on the people of Afghanistan or the state of their country, which is WORSE than it was 20 years ago. This war and the "ideals" I thought were at least SLIGHTLY involved were a huge part of my teenage years and my early adulthood. And ALL of it was a lie. It hurts. And I feel stupid.
[edit] No, I will not let you be hateful in the comments. You will be blocked. Go post spiteful "gotchas" elsewhere. This is a post for mourning, not virtue signaling.

If you would not date a trans person because they don't have the genitals you want, you do not have a genital preference, you have a genital requirement. It should be on YOU to disclose this requirement.
The burden of disclosure should not rest on the shoulders of the marginalized; it should not be the responsibility of the potential victim of a hate crime to expose themselves to said hatred. Cis people should do better.
And for the record, nowhere in any of this did I say having a genital requirement is transphobic. Some people have genital requirements. PERSONALLY I think that's fine (but I don't speak for all trans people).

I am begging people who write fic solely on Tumblr to please put your fic on Ao3 or a similar site.
Things Ao3 can do for you that you're doing manually on Tumblr and creating more work for yourself:
Chapters and Collections - Your fic ends up having more than one part? Great! Chapters may be what you're looking for, rather than scattering your story across multiple reblogs or new posts. Do you have multiple stories that are all related? Make a Collection! People can easily find all the stories in the world you've made all together.
Organization - On Ao3, the only thing on your page is your fic, no need to sort through random reblogs of other stuff. Great for readers AND you to find fic quickly! Edit a fic and you'll know everyone will see the edits! Readers can bookmark your fic and read it over and over!
Reader subscriptions - I see SO MANY of you with huge lists at the end of your Tumblr fic where you're tagging people to notify them of a new part. On Ao3, they can just subscribe to the fic. They will get automatically notified that you've put up a new part! Plus, if they REALLY like you, they can subscribe to your account in general so any time you post ANY fic, they'll be notified!
Legibility - Outside of the dashboard, I swear to god some of you don't understand that tiny font on your blog theme is inaccessible. On Ao3, readers can customize their experience so they never have to deal with eyestrain.
Tags and Warnings - This is a huge one. People can easily filter if they want to see your fic or not, and if you tag right, people can FIND your fic more easily.
Quality - YES, your fic is "good enough" to go on Ao3. Ao3 isn't some fancy publishing company, it's a repository for ALL fic. Even yours. Yes, your drabble. Yes, your bullet fic that turned into something more. Yes your twittfic that became really long.
Please. Please post your fic to Ao3. I'm begging you.

One of the major things being raised conservative teaches you is that everything is equivalent. X is always as bad as Y if there are similarities between the situations, and external context never matters. “X is always bad!!!” This kind of thinking is extremely primitive and black and white.
So like, for example:
Refusing to bake a cake for a gay couple is equivalent to kicking Trump off Twitter: you’re refusing service to someone because you don’t like them.
The violence of the BLM protests is equivalent to the invasion of the capitol: both were violent acts related to protests and politics where people felt they were wronged.
Now OBVIOUSLY these situations are in fact NOT EQUIVALENT, but sometimes it can be hard to tell the difference when you’re raised to think everything is equal.
So if you’re struggling with that, I find that looking at the wider context really helps. What were their motivations? What is the history? What are the goals? Is one group actually on the side of humanity? Is the other group fighting against common sense?

"unjustified" you actively support drowning out lesbian voices on issues with your own white straight one just to live out your fantasies and kinks with wlw characters who are minors in half of your fics and don't believe that laws about statutory rape should matter because "age is an arbitrary measure" fuck off and stop pretending you're somehow innocent in this
just admit you were wrong and move on
….
Where do I even begin?
I have written one smut scene in my entire life as a fanfic writer. One scene in one episode of Iron Coin Chronicles Season 2. In that scene, both Faith and Amy are over 18, and they were over 18 before they actually got together and had sex (their first time together was fade to black). When Xander and Cordelia had their first time (that was off-screen/fade to black) in ICC Season 1, I’m actually not sure offhand what their respective ages were, but given that it’s entirely possible that Xander was 17 when Faith had sex with him, Faith was almost certainly under 18 in Season 3 when she had sex multiple times with various people (or so we’re led to believe), and Buffy was 17 when she had sex with Angel, that’s not exactly outside of how things have been written in the show. And again, it wasn’t onscreen. So “are minors in half your fics” thing comes from… nowhere, I guess?
I have written a few fics (the number depends on how you count) where I hint at the details of the sex lives of various characters, usually but not always, Faith and Amy, because I have a lot of feelings about these two characters. I think about the sex lives of all my ships, including the m/m ones, (albeit those I think about in the least detail, for reasons that has been touched on before). I just don’t talk about my sexual headcanons as a general rule because I’m very embarrassed about talking about them. It’s just that Faimy as a relationship is one that I have so many feels and ideas about that I feel compelled to share everything I think about them.
Also, I appreciate you hate the fact that I think people can, in their own fics, write the characters as whatever orientation they want to write them, but what does that have to do with my f/f ships? I’m not following the imaginary connection in your head, anon.
I just dug through my blog, and I can’t find any post that says anything along the lines of the notion that I “don’t believe laws about statutory rape should matter because “age is an arbitrary measure.”
Because I’ve never said anything like that. What I have said is something to the effect of calling Angel a Pedophile over having sex with Buffy when she’s 17 is an absurd argument because the age of 18 is a line we drew randomly, and Buffy (a fictional character) is pretty clearly capable of making her own choices. I didn’t say that real laws about statutory rape didn’t matter, or anything like that. I made a specific comment about a specific fictional scenario. (Also, even if what Angel and Buffy did was wrong, Angel wouldn’t meet the definition of pedophile, but that’s a different discussion entirely.)
Also, the age of consent isn’t 18 everywhere in the US, let alone the world, and hasn’t always been the age of consent historically, and many jurisdictions have “Romeo and Juliet Laws”  because lawmakers realize that things can be tricky when we draw lines in the legal sand because the line must exist somewhere.
I’ve never ‘drowned out’ lesbian voices on anything. Disagreeing with a lesbian (or even several) is not the same thing as ‘drowning’ them out. Or drowning ‘lesbians’ out in general.
I’m not going to just ‘admit that I’m wrong’, when I don’t think I am.
This discussion started because I said three things.
Canon: Willow is a Lesbian
Canon: Willow Loved Oz
In Fanfiction, You Can Do Whatever You Want To a Character’s Orientation
Now obviously the first one isn’t the issue here. I’m not getting hate from the small phalanx of ‘Willow is actually bi’ people (they do exist). The second one is certainly a possible source of hate, but given the serialized nature of TV Show writing, and the actual events that happened, it’s really hard to claim that Willow didn’t love Oz with a straight face. That love, once we figure in her actual lesbian-ness, could easily not actually be romantic, but it was love.
Now, the one that actually seems to be the source of most of the hate is the third one. The central thesis of you and yours, along the lines of traditional ‘Anti’ logic, is that fanfics that feature a canon lesbian as bi is harmful to actual lesbians in the real world, because it will somehow encourage people to… what, tell lesbians that they’re actually bi? I’m not really following where that happens.
Also, it apparently says something about how the writer feels about lesbians, which is also silly as fuck, but also… I haven’t written Willow as bi in anything. She’s gay in every fic I’ve included her in. My ICC series has Willow with Oz until he dies, but that’s because in-canon, Willow was already with Oz when ICC diverged, and Willow will realize she’s gay and get with Tara soon enough, though the process probably won’t be complete until ICC season 3.
For me to admit that I’m wrong, I’d have to believe that you’re right that a fanfic can hurt real world lesbians, and you have yet to make a convincing case that reality is that impacted by a fanfic in a fandom that is done. You’ve gotta cite some sources, gotta give me some evidence to support your thesis that a fic where Willow is bi (in that fic) is going to somehow lead to someone mistreating an IRL lesbian or whatever it is you claim is going to happen.

So I saw your comment about xue/xiao on this post about cheng/xian and it occurred to me that's even ironic how xy, in his own twisted way of seeing things and according to wwx's deductions, killed Chang Ping bc he "offended" xxc when turning his back on him while jc, on the other hand, went killing people who reminded him of wwx/just in case they had a connection to wwx. And I'm not saying xy is any more right, he is that effed up (and the dissonance is so shocking too, as if it wasn't HIS fault in the first place, that. I'm sorry. but I find it amazing... that's what xy is in the end) but still if you're going to make a parallel with these two, I have to say that: it says a lot that xy, the psycho murderer, kills someone bc, again, in his twisted head he offended "the object of his affection" but jc, tsundere misunderstood grape, kills people bc he relates them to "the person of his affections".
Anyways, that aside but also related to something you mentioned about they not wanting the tragedy of Yi City... You hit the nail on the head. Look, ngl, I personally find annoying of course when people like that anon that also mentions xue/xiao talks about how horrid and how disturbed she finds people like them. I think it's unnecessary bc it's not even like this is about them but jc so why bring them out of nowhere to say such things? And sorry for the tmi but allow me to really make clear that I've never had not even a close to an abusive rs in my life so I hope people finally get that we know to separate reality from fiction and I guess the fact we aren't triggered by it it's also a sign some of us luckily can say irl we've never allowed any dangerous bs from another person.
ANYWAYS, sorry I digress. Back to the point, the truth is that while I find unnecessary to say things like that when the main theme isn't even them, I do understand if some people feel uncomfortable by it, I just believe there are certain fandom etiquettes and it's not the same to talk about how of a horrible person xy is, bc he is, than shading people for being in their corner shipping something problematic. And what's more important about xue/xiao shippers is that so far, in my experience, we are quite "content" with the result? We accept this is a tragic effed up story and we accept it couldn't end well. We aren't, idk, blaming wang/xian for what happens to xy when he and he alone dug his own grave, duh. We like it bc of its tragedy. And I think the best proof is that there isn't as much fix-it fics like people who maybe think this is about being apologists would believe. From time time of course we need some crack, some unrealistic result, some comedy even lol... but I think the reason our ship work for us is bc we like it bc of it is and not bc we project ourselves. Also, I thank God never saw MXTX being attacked by xy stans... I don't doubt there must be some cringey stans like there are everywhere but I'm sure they're a small number. I actually find amusing MXTX being like "why do you ship those, idgi??" 😂 but above all, I respect her bc it's her work. This is not about being a boot licker, I believe it's ok to have your opinions too and not necessarily agree with the author... Too bad that all the MXTX antis I saw are gross about her and they're far from just giving criticism. They're plain bitter haters. It's not like it personally affects me and as if she doesn't have the right to have her own opinions on her story and own characters just bc I happen to ship something I KNOW it's not canon, ffs... In any case we can agree to disagree bc it's also my right to ~romanticise~ whatever I want as long as it's fictional. All in all, I'm grateful she created this story that hooked and these characters I learned to love...
Sorry if this became long and if it's all over the place 😅 but I just couldn't help myself and wanted to bring some points on this whole matter...
So I will break down my comments point by point anon!
On the point of Xue Yang, I find him fascinating along with his relationship concerning Xiao Xingchen. They had built up a relationship on so many lies, and lived fairly happily in that all while Xue Yang was unable to parse out what his animosity was towards Xiao Xingchen his love for him, and his idea of honoring this same person. It is just a mess of a relationship with so much that can't actually be described because even the characters can't separate exactly what is going on there aside from the pain Xue Yang caused because he just does not understand kindness and empathy in a significant way that could have saved himself. It is a gorgeous plot point and awful bond. It's also just at the cusp of Xue Yang being in denial admitting that he DOES miss Xiao Xingchen and his build up of this unconscious guilt for having killed someone he learned to love and know. Especially next to Jin Guangyao who doesn't have this guilt but is very good at speaking like he is, and Jiang Cheng who is not regretful for what he did to Wei Wuxian.
On the topic of ship shit talk: I have no bone to throw here as a defense. I shit talk chengx!an and plenty of pairings with mutuals and friends as a vent, because I find ships ridiculous as much as others. Everyone in my eyes can do as they want, say what they want in terms of fandom made content. It's there in all it's non-canonical glory to roast or praise on all ends. I think the issue here in regards to all of this is the conflation of fanon being made to seem like actual canon and the line of where personal tastes needs to be made apparent. MXTX isn't big on shipping outside of her main pairs, I'm the same with mine for OC's and I am very very picky in regards to this, but fans are gonna fan and Rule 34 is there no matter what. Fandom curating is always the answer if certain pairs get to you that badly. I also think there is a fine line with accusations of romanticizing non-canon pairs and it's place in a real life context towards others individuals as I think morbid material has it's place to be explored safely within literature and entertainment without pearl clutching or holier than though attitudes especially prevalent in English/Western fandom.
People get far too invested within the fandom headcanon space and a lot of vitriol pours out from that. It's a double-edged sword especially claiming to love something from this while condemning a multitude of people (mostly always chinese mainland fans, or other LGBT+ people who do not share the same self-flagellation attitude towards an entertainment piece). Self-flagellation is hypocrisy in my eyes and just because some people tend to make a very loud note of this, does not make them morally superior in sharing the same content as everyone else no matter how they do this.
