your daughter has a meltdown during dinner one night. she cries and cries and cries as you cradle her, big, gasping sobs that wrack her little body.
"i want daddy," she wails, pushing her hand against your cheek.
sae slips a hand under her, but as he starts to pull her away, she grabs hold of your sweater, crying harder still.
"no," she screams. "i want daddy!"
and you realize she means rin.

You've been too productive lately, the wait between the next chapters is going to be hard to bear ahah !
Now, what can I say, except THIS SUSPENSE 😱 ????!!!! You're spending too much time writing Rindu, you're becoming as sadistic as him.
Anyway, a little review because I'm trying to control myself for once, lol.
Firstly, I'm quite impressed that Rin makes phone calls in Yasuko's presence, bonten is so covered that he can afford it. It makes me feel a little sad for her, a million miles away from thinking that her wonderful lover is importing drugs. I still can't wait for her to learn the truth, even though I know she might suffer.
Also, I noticed that Yasuko and Reader from FHMTH both have a few daddy and mommy issues, if they didn't, would things be different ? Would Yasuko be dating older men ? And Reader... do we really need to elaborate on the fact that you have to have a little problem to fuck Hanma, no matter how hot he is ? 😅 Anyway, I'm doing counter psychology (idk if the expression exists in English) and I hate it. I was originally going to talk about the parents because Yasuko's mom seems so protective of her daughter and it's kind of fun to be able to talk about her relationship with her without judging her. I like their relationship, even if their place in the family is not very balanced.
One last question I have and then I'll stop hihi, Rindou who puts his work in the background, is Mikey going to be totally ok with that ? I mean, we know from the beginning that he's not a workaholic, but, can there be consequences ?
That's it, I'm done, I'm really really really excited and impatient for the next chapter and I wanted to tell you that after a quick calculation, this story really in my top 2, I love it so much so thanks again for sharing it with us ❤️
the way your mind works, i swear, i'm always so excited to hear your thoughts on the chapters! like you just make such good connections! and i'm so flattered that you are loving the story so much. dgm has a special place in my heart too!
i'm going to do a read more so i can give this the attention it deserves!
poor reader really has no idea about rindou’s job and is so not ready for the truth. in that scene, rindou’s not saying anything directly incriminating, she doesn’t understand shipping enough to follow, AND rindou is intentionally keeping her distracted. she never stood a chance.
also poor Doc and her mommy/daddy issues ☹ I feel so bad for her tbh. you’re so right that her issues are a key reason she’s able to be with hanma. most people would run and not look back after the eye gouging and Russian roulette incidents, but the childhood abuse Doc experienced really inoculated her against that. and her unexpected reactions are what makes hanma interested in her in the first place.
whereas with yasuko, her father is really a nonentity to her. she doesn’t have issues about him. BUT because she had to fulfill an adult role from a young age because of her family’s poverty, she feels far more mature than her age. worth considering that she’s several years older than her friends in her university program (22 while they’re 18/19) and would have been much younger than most of her coworkers at the factory, so her dating just kind of works out that way.
great question about rindou’s work ethic! Rindou cannot afford to slack off fr bc drugs are bonten’s 2nd biggest revenue stream and kokoni would be up his ass. it would probably fall to takeomi to discipline rindou if he wasn’t doing his job, as takeomi’s like bonten’s chief of staff to koko’s chief revenue officer.
mikey probably wouldn’t get involved. he’s pretty checked out at this point in the story.
but, rindou knows what he can and can’t get away with. he can reschedule a meeting with suppliers for you, but he wouldn’t be ditching, say, a meeting with mikey just because you called upset. he does his job and nothing more, and that’s good enough. it just looks like a fantasy to yasuko who comes from a working class background.

a. miya !
tonight is your little reunion between your highschool friendgroup. fun, right?
no.
well, when you get there it will be but before you do wont. the reason for this is that your man child boyfriend has a habit of following you everywhere- it was actually the only reason he wanted to know everyone you spend time with. so he can always tag along and be with you 24/7, 365. you love him for it and it’s very endearing how he craves your presence but you couldn’t help but want a little alone time with some people that you’ve made memories with.
your group has been planning this about a month in advance, which gave you a month to decide how you wanted to go about keeping tsumu away. you thought about asking his friends to take him out, sending him to run errands but they all made you feel like you were committing a crime and trying to make sure atsumu stays in the dark about it.
discouraged, you had sat down to wallow in your own stupidity and opened your phone. scrolling through tiktok, you had found a solution to all your problems. a little video , no longer than 20 seconds, was gonna secure your fun night out with friends. said video showed a guy giving his girlfriend food in exchange for her not to call, text, email or even think about him. you reckoned that it would work on your blond lover too.
now you practically skip down the stairs barely able to see your feet because of the sheer amount of food in your hands. you even asked samu to make atsumu’s favorite rice balls and picked them up on your way back from work- safely hiding them in your bag. atsumu finally comes into sight when you reach the kitchen. he’s leaned up against the counter, hair messy and his honey eyes focused on the screen of his phone. he only looks up when you nearly trip- and his eyes widen.
“babe, what the hell-?” he tries, but you simply saunter over to the counter and look him dead in his eyes. first, you put everything down infront of you. “i’m going out with my high school friends and- before you ask i still love you- but i wanna go alone,so” atsumu’s eyes shoot up at the uncharacteristic seriousness in your voice, but he allows you to continue. you put down a bag of mcdonald’s, his favorite order with an extra large fry just how he likes, “ do not text me,” you take a bag of kfc , mainly wings that are extra hot because you know he loves to wash it down with coke,” do not call me,” as you put things down, you can see atsumu’s eyebrows drop and a pout grow on his pretty pink lips. finally you present the rice balls that samu made, and a coke, “ don’t email me, or smoke signal me, or anything. okay?” you finally finish, look up at him hopefully.
his lip is jutted out as he glances down at the items you used to bribe him and back to yours. you nearly start tapping your foot impatiently. atsumu leans down so for once, you two are eye to eye level. “ are ya sure you still love me?” he asks you softly. you think for a moment that he’s kidding, but the pause and loud swallow you hear give him away.immediately, you realise that you’ve screwed up. before you can answer, your boyfriend speaks again. “if you didn’t want me to come you could’a asked me to just.. stay here. i would have. ya didn’t have to go and spend all that time bribing me like i’m a mafia boss or somethin’” atsumu sighs, obviously disheartened and now walking away from you. you go to hold his bicep to stop him, but he easily moves out the way without making it look obvious.
you’re feeling really bad now, the dull look in his eyes eating into your tummy. “ i do still love you, tsum, don’t be dumb. i just,” you paused when he looks at you with a raised brow. he looks like he really couldn’t care less about your excuses right now. “i actually don’t have an excuse, i’m just being dumb,” your voice was small, timid from hoping that your boyfriend isn’t too upset. the last thing on your mind is the buzzing phone in your pocket but it’s the first in atsumu’s.
he turns again, getting a glass of water. “ answer it, go. have fun. just text me if you get drunk off your ass and i’ll come get ya, if ya aren’t sleeping at one of your friends’ places.” atsumu instructed you. you bite your lip in thought.quietly , you go up behind him. he pretends to not notice your presence, the warmth of your skin hovering over his clothed back. his eyes stay trained on his very important glass of water. your arms wrap around him gently at first but when you feel no protest, you get comfortable. he tuts, tongue clicking against the roof of his mouth. “ you’re gonna be late, yn. go.” and you nearly cry at him using your first name- but you soon realise that if he did what you had done, you’d be doing a lot worse than calling him a first name.
you inhale. deep, calming, hopeful. “ i’m not going,” you mumbled into his covered flesh. he fights a smile, affection creeping onto his skin. “ why? you seemed pretty interested in it a minute ago? i reckon you should go have fun with your little friends. god knows why ya wanna be here, with me, who you wanted to avoid all night.” as he talks, his tone is more playful , more pouty. you rub a thumb over his tummy, speaking into his back and causing vibrations that seem to warm his soul. “because i realise that i like you more than them and i screwed up,” you say. he nods curtly, eyes shiny with unshed tears that are now going away. “ good. i’m glad you know that.” he says.
your newly free arms are folded as you do your classic awkward smile- waiting for his verdict. “go change. we’re watching mulan.” atsumu tells you. before you walk away, you go closer to him.
“i’m sorry,” you say, tenderly putting a hand on his shoulder. “ i should’ve just asked you like a normal person. i wont do that again, promise.” you know you’re in the clear, his eyes soft and his own hands running up from your hips to your cheeks to hold them. he plants a kiss on your lips, affectionately holding your face until your cheeks squish slightly. “it was funny , kinda,” he mumbles. you huff air out your nose, shaking your head. “barely. i almost made you cry,” you reply. he shrugs. “‘s okay, sweetheart. i forgive ya. i wont crucify my baby just ‘cause ya don’t know how to communicate.” and you laugh at that. he releases your gorgeous face, placing a little slap on your ass. “ go on, get comfy. you got a whooole night of apology cuddles ta give me, lover.”
r. suna !
suna rintaro is apathetic, painfully apathetic.
everyone knows. it’s his resting bitch face, the monotone voice and hooded eyes that make people think that he doesn’t care. for others, it’s true, he doesn’t. when it comes to a news anchor or someone interviewing him he wouldn’t give them any time of his day if he wasn’t forced. he isnt the type to talk without purpose- and until you that purpose was only to tease people, communicate, or pass a sarcastic comment every once and a while.
but to you? suna rintaro was not himself , or what people have ideally plastered together of him in their heads. suna rintaro became rinnie, or rin. the rin who would hold your hands in his when it was cold or rub his cheek against you for fun, rin that kissed your nose and kissed your shoulders after you showered. rin who would lip sync any song he heard in the car to you.
rintarou became a completely different person around you; his walls of steel melting to a puddle and letting you pass. his heart became only for you. something that also changed was how tolerant he became to being around someone, that someone being you. he found himself wanting to be around you always, opting to come with you everywhere and always touching you in some way. no matter how much you writhed or attempted to sway his clinginess it never seemed to ebb away.
that is how you were put into this situation. standing across from him as he lain on your bed- all his favorite food, a new hoodie , and a $100 bill on top of it. he stared at you in absolute disbelief. “ .. so the reason i got you this is because i wanna go to the spa, and no. you cannot come.” you explain to him, tone firm but your heart nearly falling into your ass when he sat up with a bored look on his face. “ are you like,” he starts, picking up the gifts like they were toxic waste- only with two fingers, “ bribing me right now?” he asked. you pondered for a moment, “ basically. i am , yeah.” you reply. he looks up at you, green irises boring into yours as he tries to telepathically say that you’re kidding.
he sighs when he realises that you arent. he gets up, his t shirt draping down his large figure as he collects all the stuff and places it in your arms. “ don’t want it, and let me go shower,” he mumbles, walking past you. you drop the items back onto your shared bed, following him like a lost puppy. the sound of water wafts to your ears as you reach the bathroom, rin now shirtless in front of you. you look at him, confused.
“ showering.. for?” you ponder out loud. he blows air from his nose, pulling his sweat pants down and adjusting the water. your boyfriend, only in boxers, turns to you. “ so we can go to the spa, you silly thing.” he teases , hand coming up to pinch your cheek lovingly. you scoff. “ i just said that you can’t come, rintaro.” and he hisses in faux pain.“full first name? ouch.” your boyfriend jests. before he can hop into the shower, his hands hook around his boxers and-
“rintaro.” you call him sternly and he laughs wholeheartedly. running a hand through his brown hair he’s now inches away from you. “you did say that i can’t come, but you’re wrong. i’m literally getting ready to right now,” he says casually. you poke at his built chest, eyes flitting up beautifully to meet his own. “rintaro i said no, just stay here, you don’t even like the spa,” you were whining now, and his heart squeezed ever so slightly at your childish tone.
“true, i don’ like the spa, but i like you.” he smiles , hands rubbing your shoulders. he places a kiss on your nose, directing you towards the bathroom door. “so, before i get naked infront of you and we both end up staying here, go away.” and before you could protest - he was gone.

Yashahime The Second Act (1)
Tumblr media
Pretty daddy boys! Papamaru and Inupapa, they got their fierce expressions, woo! Love that they showed the father's of the daughters first from episode 15.
Tumblr media
Our babies are back! Oh my goshy! They're back! Cutesy Towa, Sweet Setsuna, Cinnamon roll Moroha! They look as beautiful as their Mother's Rin and Kagome, and tough as their Father's Sesshomaru and Inuyasha.
Tumblr media
Ahh! Yes! Sesshomaru came back or didn't leave at all!... and ouch, this sad and depressing scene is all up in our faces again. I love it that Sesshomaru is there even though I'm pretty sure that scene is killing him inside and is making him uneasy, sad and extremely furious. I mean, look at one of his beloved daughters.
Tumblr media
No one, absolutely no one wants to see their child in this type of condition. It's possibly heart shattering for Sesshomaru and Rin if she seen this in her dreams or something. Setsuna looks pitiful, blood all over her and a deep cut going down to her chest and nearly to her stomach, I imagine Sesshomaru was sickened by this sight and probably growing even sadder because he can smell her blood and is just staring down at her. He probably feels terrible of what happened even though it was NOT his fault she died like that, it was never Sesshomaru's fault. (I hated it when Antis blamed him. He wasn't the one who cut his daughter and he probably didn't know the battle was going to turn out like that. It says somewhere by the Official Yashahime that Sesshomaru felt sorry for what happened to Towa and Setsuna on the battlefield with Kirinmaru. I can't remember where it said that at but I'll find it if I or a comrade comes across it again. He is not a bad father. Leave Sesshomaru alone and keep him out of your heartless father Headcanons, Antis.
Tumblr media
Towa here looks highly confident but also in deep grief and is extremely angry over her sister Setsuna getting killed like that. I love it how they posed her in this frame holding her father's blade, the tenseiga. She definitely looks like she's about to use it to bring back Setsuna but I can't help to feel that they're maybe some difficulties trying to complete her task but who knows, maybe it will be easy or not.
Tumblr media
It seems that Towa is trying to use the tenseiga on her sister, you can see it right there, glowing bright blue in front of Setsuna. but the little creatures of the underworld took her... so this could mean she may have difficulties getting Setsuna back...
Tumblr media
The gang is all together again, aww, Moroha looks so happy that she has her cousins back. Here in the second frame where I put together, Towa looks highly guilty... I think she's also going to blame herself for Setsuna death... but it wasn't her fault either and I hope she knows that. I wonder if Sesshomaru blames himself like this and Towa got it from him, only difference is Sesshomaru keeps everything in his mind and to himself at times. Hope someone tells her soon to stop blaming herself. She shouldn't feel like this, she is not a troublemaker or a burden.
Tumblr media
No, Moroha! Don't! You're giving me ideas!
Tumblr media
Too late, you gave me ideas. Lol, this scene made me laugh so hard, Moroha truly is a cinnamon roll, a mischievous cinnamon roll. Gosh, haven't seen this tree character in awhile. Wonder what else he'll talk about.
Tumblr media
I wonder why Setsuna has this sash around her Mokomoko, is it to be used for carrying her weapons? Because it looks like she has two now and did her Mokomoko get damaged and someone wrapped it up? Hm, very interesting, I'm curious about this detail and the new blade in her sash.

Hair Dye Buddies: Chapter 3
Learning the basics with his new quirk took to him instantly as he used ways he'd used to watch their father train Shoto with his quirks. The snow felt so calm under his fingertips, the naturality of it far better than the fire that he was born with.
By the end of the class, several snowmen and snow angels had been made and he was very proud with his quick advancement. Everyone seemed happy with his quirk and it made him so eager to please them.
"Tomorrow's training will be more fighting with quirks. I need to get you all ready for the upcoming licensing exam." Aizawa told them on their walk back to class. "Yes, you will be included, Touya. I've spoken to Nezu and all you'll need to do is catch yourself up in your studies and your quirk training, which should be no problem given you take to things so easily. Though yours would be temporary." Aizawa told him.
"This doesn't mean you all will be hurrying to spar with each other tonight, I will put you in detention if you do. Touya, you're allowed to tinker around with your quirk under teacher supervision if you want since, even if you've taken hold of it quickly, it's still brand new to you." Aizawa told him.
Of course, Sir." He nodded, trailing with Shoto.
"So you're officially a UA student, Touya." He was giddy, he'd always wanted to attend UA but father forced him into a no-name school with barely any accountability for their students and had even listed him under their mother's maiden name to keep him away.
"How are Fuyumi and Natsuo?" Touya asked abruptly. Shoto looked bewildered at the sudden conversation shift. Then he realized it might be because Shoto was never allowed around them. He might not know their names, even.
"Sorry, I know you're not even that close to them, us three were so clumped together and you were so much later we never actually bonded together as siblings or anything and you were probably forced away once I was gone so you probably never even knew them." Touya sighed.
"Actually, we're pretty close now. I guess we all realized losing you meant we needed to stick together as much as possible. We even have a group chat without dad. We call it the Endeavor Hate Chat." Shoto smiled and Touya laughed.
"Oh, now you have to show me how much you bash the old man. How old's he now, 45, 46?"
"46. Just turned it like two months ago." Touya gave a chuckle.
"Wow, talk about the timing of that stupid deaging. It's the same time in the year too. I'm starting to think someone put a spell on me like Sleeping Beauty. Come back the same age five years later to torment my little brother." Touya teased.
"I'm not so little anymore. I'm a week older than you." Shoto teased back.
"Oh come on, it's not by much!" Touya exclaimed, getting the class to snicker at their petty argument of age.
"Anyway, how are Natsu and Yumi? You never answered." Touya reminded him.
"Well, Fuyumi's a kindergarten teacher's aid, she's got a secret girlfriend or two and a secret boyfriend too. That woman is pulling too many people at this point. I really have tried to get her to talk to a therapist about her mommy and daddy issues but it isn't really working as you can tell. Natsuo is in college still, becoming a nurse. He has a husband now, they eloped not this summer but the summer before. He's really happy. Both are doing okay. Yumi says she wants kids in the future still and I'm hoping Dad doesn't latch onto it and try to pick her a husband or something to keep 'good quirks' in the family."
Touya smiled knowing his now-older siblings were happy in life. It was all he'd hoped they'd get when he was younger, he couldn't believe they got their happy endings despite his lack of involvement.
"Me, though, I'm going to be a hero just to save people. Unlike his goals for me, I want to be a hero that's a good person as well as a good hero so he won't be giving me the title of Number One, he'll be handing his mantle to part of the next generation he didn't make, likely. And he has a rude awakening if he thinks he'll get his grandchildren to succeed him." Shoto smiled deviously.
"Why?" Touya asked.
"Because he doesn't know I'm gay yet and I won't be giving him biological grandchildren. I plan to adopt kids in need instead. The only children he'll have are Fuyumi's and yours." Shoto proudly stated.
"You say this like I'm not gay too. I'm not having kids." Touya cackled.
"Yumi's got a whole next family generation on her hands then. All the boys can now wipe their hands clean of the reproduction process." Shoto was trying hard not to laugh, so was Touya.
"I ain't never seen four straight siblings. Always three of 'em gotta be gay." Midoriya announced, bursting the whole class into laughter besides the grape-looking gremlin.
"Ew, gays!" The juice gremlin exclaimed, interrupting everyone's fun.
"Shut the fuck up, Mineta." Aizawa instructed the grape gremlin.
"Yes, sir." Mineta agreed.
"I'm glad you ended up bonding with them. I remember being so worried when you were born because the three of us had each other and you were five years younger than us. I was always worried you'd never bond with us."
"Well, you guys were triplets. It's a different bond, I guess." Shoto sighed. "I just know that they were devastated when they heard you disappeared. We all thought you'd run away because the old man never said anything about kicking you out. We thought you'd died on the streets. You have a tombstone in Mom's garden still." Shoto told him.
"They always did joke about burying me in the yard." Touya laughed.
"I'm so glad you get another chance at life. Once we're able to tell Natsuo and Fuyumi, they'll be overjoyed." Shoto butted his shoulder with his own.
"I hope they'll be happy." Touya smiled a bit.
The day was easy after that. He wasn't all that behind in his studies, even excelled a English. During a hero lesson, he got sent to Recovery Girl, who tried to figure out the quirk that caused this and how it worked.
They'd ultimately ended up that this was more than likely permanent now that things had changed from how his life had originally went, especially once he told her of Ryuu and the quirk change. Then she forcefully healed the cuts and burns on his hands and arms from Ryuu and sent him back to class for Math.
The school day was over before he knew it and he was following Bakugou back to the dorms and he went to his own room, it was still bare, just a bed and a desk and a television set up in the corner.
"Hey, Cotton Candy, we're going out, you wanna come?" Bakugou asked.
"I'd be in my school uniform. Aren't we not supposed to wear them when we're not on campus?" He asked.
"We're the same size, just take some clothes. Mina wants to go clothes shopping anyway." Bakugou told him.
"Okay, but I don't have any money." Touya reminded him.
"IcyHot already agreed to let you take your dad's credit card. We're buying you clothes whether you like it or not." Bakugou told him, shoving some clothes at him and he fumbled a second but held them while Bakugou closed his door. "Get dressed! We're leaving in like twenty minutes once Pikachu does his makeup."
Touya was grateful Bakugou had handed him black jeans with cuts on the knees and a baggy black sweater with a skull on it, the comfort of it was astronomical. He put back on the black boots he'd shown up to UA in last night and headed out to Mina in the men's hallway, wolf whistling at him and Sero laughing telling him he fit right in.
"Question, does anyone have a mask I can borrow? My immune system is pretty weak, I got a lot of the weaker genetics in the family so I get sick pretty easy."
"Yeah, man, Shoji has a ton of extra masks." Sero told him. Kirishima was already knocking on Shoji's door for him.
"Hey, man, can Touya borrow a mask, his immune system sucks and we're taking him out shopping."
"Sure, I have some smaller ones my sister sent me a while back that don't fit me." Shoji rummaged a moment and then handed Kirishima a few masks with Halloween themed patterns on them. "Have fun out in the world, Touya." Shoji reminded him.
"I will, thank you, Shoji!" Touya smiled brightly at him as he put on the black mask with the orange and yellow jack'o'lantern pattern.
Being handed Endeavor's credit card by Shoto and told to go wild at the mall was like a fever dream when he used to have to ask and beg for months for new things and then he was made to work himself to the bone for it.

The Sesshomaru F*cks Debacle
Hey, fellow Inuyasha fans! How we feeling?? I imagine a lot of us are doing quite fabulously after the recent news we got about the sequel coming out this Fall, "Hanyou No Yashahime." So if it wasn't obvious already, I want to take the time to discuss the topic of- you guessed it- Sesshomaru. Go figure!
***THIS IS A REPOST OF MY ORIGINAL BLOG THAT DISAPPEARED FROM THE TAGS. PICS/GIFS HAVE BEEN REMOVED TO HOPEFULLY REPAIR THAT.***
Let's be real, as much as probably (and literally lol) all of us have viewed him as "daddy material" at some point or another during our teens, Sesshomaru being physically intimate with another being, much less a human, is difficult to conjure up in our minds. And there's nothing wrong with that, per se, as sex and romance doesn't come so easily to some as it does to others. Then again, that's not to say a romantic relationship is completely impossible or unattainable for him either.
I, for one, am not a huge fan of the idea of Sesshomaru siring children of his own. Granted, adopting/protecting children and other small companions is kinda his thing (I saw one user even describe him as a 'walking daycare' 🤣), and maybe it'll just take some getting used to, but all in all it's not entirely unfathomable to picture him having biological children. Though I'd be lying if I said I still didn't prefer he just took these two twin half-demon girls in and under his wing instead, like he did Rin. However, seeing as that's unlikely the case since the two girls resemble him in some fashion, the chances of that coming true are slim, which must mean that Sesshomaru did in fact bone some lucky lady. That's not to say I don't acknowledge that there's still a chance these kids aren't truly his but we'll see!
Which leads me to the real reason behind this blog! I'd like to address in-depth why I and so many other Inuyasha fans consider shipping S*ssrin as wrong and why it makes a lot of us extremely uncomfortable.
BUT FIRST BEFORE I FORGET, I want to give a little unofficial disclaimer by stating that this blog isn't intended to upset certain fans regarding my stance on the controversial ship. Thus I will not tag it under that ship name, and I suggest others who agree with me to do the same in any of their future posts.
Because let's not forget that the most important thing is that we're all fans here. We fell in love with this story and hold its beloved characters close to our hearts for a reason. And that still counts even if you're returning to this fandom a decade later. So please, let's try and remember that and be civil towards one another. Putting people down by attacking and insulting others in real life really doesn't make us any better than them. I REPEAT, please do not engage in this post unless you plan to be kind and respectful of others who may have a differing opinion than you. There's never a need to be ugly towards another human being. That goes for all shippers and fans of Sesshomaru in general. Thank you in advance for your understanding and compliance. 😊
Again, none of these comments are aimed at being inflammatory towards those fans who have a different approach to this pairing. If any of you are reading this now, please keep that in mind before deciding to participate in any discourse with me and other antis.
Okay, let me go ahead and list a few of the main arguments fans of this particular ship use to support them together. Then I'll give my reasons why those aren't enough to justify their relationship turning romantic:
1. Rin will be an adult before they get romantically involved
2. Sesshomaru didn't raise her and therefore isn't her father; he was never like a father to her in the first place
3. Sesshomaru hasn't been grooming her, not then and not now. Besides, it was Rin's choice first.
4. Age difference shouldn't matter when you look at other relationships in the series (InuKag, Koga x Ayame, etc.)
5. It was always going to be canon because the drama CDs exist
These are the main points I'm seeing around. Now let's dissect them, shall we? These are my direct responses- I'll try to keep them short and concise. Fyi: Jk! I'm lying, that never happens. 😆
1. Rin may be an adult, but from our standpoint that doesn't make much of a difference. It doesn't matter because it's all about how her relationship with Sesshomaru started off and how it continued onwards. From that moment, it was basically established from the get-go that their relationship resembles that of one a young girl shares with an older man who winds up becoming her guardian. She initiated it by trying to bring him food while he was injured, and he reciprocated by deciding to bring her back to life that fateful day.
Of course we're all happy that he did, because he's a better demon for it and a similar thing could be said about her! Therefore you must understand that fans against this pairing find it very hard to grasp the notion of a budding romance here when we look at their history. For us, it's synonymous to imagining a father eventually falling in love with his daughter or someone else who reminds him of a daughter, and vice versa. But let's just say he's not a father to her like many of you claim and more like, say a modern-day babysitter. Isn't it still bizarre to you that a young girl could fall in love with the man who looked after her and cared for her at that age, maybe even played games with? One day or on multiple occasions he even sees her naked because she had an accident and got hurt so she needed help changing or something. I admit it's more realistic that it was Jaken if anyone who'd be in charge of this, but why does it really matter who was tasked with what? Sesshomaru may have not been around all the time but that doesn't mean he's any less involved or invested in Rin's general care and well-being. So it's that thought alone that keeps many of us from even contemplating a romance forming between them. Whether he hardly interacted with her over the years or not is irrelevant, because it's clear to me that they have both formed a strong enough bond that constitutes calling them family. I highly doubt he ever even planned to keep Rin in his company as long as he did. But it happened, and whether you want to admit it or not, meeting her changed his life. Meaning Rin was never just some girl he traveled with or hardly knew. Despite his feigned indifference and stoic ways at times, I'm pretty sure we can all agree that Rin grew on him and was the first person to really influence him in a way that helped soften and open up that heart of his in a way nobody ever had before. One's significance to any given person isn't solely measured by the quantity of time spent alongside that person but by the quality of how that time was spent with said person. It's safe to say that in the case of Sesshomaru and Rin, they definitely fall under that category.
2. Fair if you don't view Sesshomaru as Rin's father, but you must acknowledge that he did fill some father figure-like role to her at the very least. Or let's just call him her vassal if you think that's a more accurate description. Also, can I just quickly stress again that it doesn't matter how long she spent by his side or whether she spent more time in the village or not, because he still ended up playing a major part in her childhood as an adult male role model. Regardless of the title you give him, it still stands that although he may not be her official adoptive father, he is LIKE A FATHER. There really is no point in denying that, because their dynamic exudes one of a father-daughter. I guarantee you that any outsider looking in would agree that if not her father then at the very least he embodies a male relative of some kind. Honestly, the details of their relationship dynamic specific to this show (regional/period differences, human vs. demon culture, etc.), don't really matter here. Why? Because one can assume that the general consensus here is that a large percentage of fans perceive their connection as a familial one. Yes, most would unanimously agree that Rin and Sesshomaru, along with Jaken and Ah-Un, are a FAMILY.
If she had first met him as an adult, then we'd possibly have a very different story here. The point of the matter is that he didn't, so that should be where this discussion ends. Unfortunately, for many, it's not. The bottom line is that a child he knew and cared for should never be someone he begins to view in a romantic light. I don't care how many years have passed (or that to demons years are like days or some less inconsequential length of time), and how much she's matured or how specific marriage customs were back then (if they're no longer appropriate now then why are we still condoning these backward practices?). Rin should NEVER have the desire to be sexually attracted to this father figure she's always looked to and trusted to protect her. Maybe it's vastly different from a demon's perspective (even though still unjustifiable in my opinion), but as a human, Rin's feelings towards Sesshomaru wouldn't and shouldn't suddenly change towards him and in such a drastic manner mind you. Yeah, maybe she used to have an innocent crush on him, but I'd like to think our smart and compassionate little Rin would learn that was simply because she was a child who didn't know any better. Besides, growing up with Kaede and around other humans I'd like to think she fell in love with another human sometime over the course of all those years. It only makes sense, right? Don't you think that's part of why Sesshomaru left her there in the first place? He wished for her to experience what it was like to live a normal human life, falling in love and marriage both being a key part of that. If I were Sesshomaru, I'd be deeply troubled if I started to develop feelings for a little girl I once protected and kept in my company for quite an extended period of time, which was at least a year from what I understand. (Pls correct me if I'm wrong because I gather it may have been longer.)
3. Apparently in the manga and the Final Act, we see Sesshomaru still visits the village to check on Rin from time to time. He even brings her gifts, such as beautiful and luxurious kimonos. I recently learned from another Tumblr post that kimonos are what older men gift in order to sort of earn their favor with these young ladies, AKA they're wooing them. If that is indeed true, then that would mean he's basically grooming her and has been for however long she's lived there in the village but potentially even longer. To put it nicely, he's courting her. If this was another young lady (maybe not an adult perhaps but still of marrying age) who he DIDN'T assist in raising, then I could possibly get on board with this.
The thing is, it's far from that with them two if you consider everything they've gone through and endured together! Because he not only met her as a young girl but he got to know her first as a young girl, and she became one of his traveling companions all while she was only a young girl!!! Their bond will always be defined by that time when she was just a young girl, and nothing can or should change that he will always see her in that same light. Kinda like how our parents or other family members from older generations tell us that they'll always see us as their babies. So the fact that her time spent with Sesshomaru is constantly compared to her time spent in the village shouldn't apply here. Don't we all know this already? That we can can come across someone in our lifetime and maybe the time with them is short-lived, but that doesn't make it any less significant or those people any less special. Sesshomaru made an impact on her as much as she did on him, that much we know is true. Sure, it was years ago, but that's not something you ever forget. Sometimes when you look at loved ones you haven't seen in a while, there are just certain memories you have of them from over the years that will come rushing back to you without fail and that you will always cherish no matter what. I'd like to believe that when Rin looks at Sesshomaru and he looks at her, that they can both look back fondly on their times traveling together. This explains why I'm really struggling here to picture how anyone could sleep with someone they used to treat as their guardian/father/ward/daughter/what have you. So someday and somehow, this person just stops viewing them that way, is that it? I mean, how does this work exactly? It's not like you can just flip off a switch and forget everything from your past with this person, ya know? Unless you have your memory wiped, what I'm understanding is that S*ssrin shippers approve of the idea of these two characters KNOWING that they are or used to be like practically FAMILY to each other, yet agree that these two characters in question still have the capacity not to mention desire to pursue HAVING SEX with each other anyway. Do I got that all right? Did I miss anything?
Originally I provided two examples of fan art I found to help put what I'm trying to say here into better perspective, but since they've been removed, just type in "Sesshomaru and Rin" on Google and you'll find plenty of examples of what I'm talking about here- and no, it's not S*ssrin images. I realize Sesshomaru has never been the touchy-feely sorta guy like it's depicted in some of the fan art, but that doesn't necessarily diminish the affection he feels and attachment he has towards Rin. He just has a different way of expressing his love is all, even if he doesn't outwardly show it. The real question here is, can you really look at sweet pictures of an adult comforting a child who's been under his care for a significant amount of time and then suddenly be like, "oh man, I can't wait till they bang!" I'm sorry, to each their own, but you gotta admit why we must find that creepy.
4. Regarding Inuyasha and Kagome's relationship, we need to remember that he didn't age after all those years stuck to that tree. And besides, demons age differently so this is a pretty unfair comparison. This isn't the best example, but think about how a cat's lifespan works. 10 years in (indoor) cat years is like 56 in human years. So technically in demon years, Inuyasha is physically and emotionally compatible with a human around Kagome's age. Hell, even though he's over a hundred years older, Kagome is still a whole lot more mature than he probably ever will be! 😂 (Psst! We still love you, Inuyasha! 💋)
Now as for Koga and Ayame, this also isn't comparable to Sesshomaru and Rin. Koga met Ayame one night, only not to see her ever again until she was older and of age. After rescuing her on that night when she was only a girl, he gives her a piggyback ride and you can tell he just wants to cheer her up when he mentions her being his wife someday. (And boy, did that work wonders on Ayame!) Then they gaze at this stunning lunar rainbow together, which I think is quite rare judging by looks of it. This is not an attempt to defend this proposal- if we can even really call it that- but all I'm saying is that I don't think even Koga knows what overcame him in that moment. Fast forward to present-day when they cross paths again, and Ayame still remembers his so-called promise, but guess who doesn't right away? Yep, our man Koga! It takes a quite a while for it to come back to him, too. This further proves my point that something beyond Koga and his power possessed him to say all those things to a little Ayame for some reason. Maybe you can call it destiny, or maybe it was some special kind of magic caused by the lunar rainbow, Idk! All I know is that they do end up together in the Final Act and that it wasn't until they met as two consenting wolf-demons that they really grew to know each other and coincidentally- or maybe not so coincidentally- fall in love.
 5. From what I understand, it appears these drama CDs are some kind of satire which doesn't equate to canon. Perhaps Rumiko did not debunk them but she also didn't confirm they're true either. I'm hearing conflicting reports, however, and her involvement in them is questionable. Like her name is supposedly on the cover or something? But then I've also heard that she has spoken out against this ship. From the sounds of it, there is enough evidence- or lack thereof rather- to conclude that fans cannot use this as proof enough for their ship already being or soon-to-be canon.
Finally, I'd like to end on this note where I'll be addressing ethics in entertainment. When it comes to our choice of entertainment, there's always a level of escapism implied, sometimes so much that we project ourselves onto certain characters. Delving into a fantasy world like that of Inuyasha can really help some people better cope with real life problems, but it's all about striking the right balance, as each individual has different wants and needs. The thing is there's only so much escapism one can allow in a fictional world before basic morals from our own world begin to take precedence. I can always enjoy some good fantasy, but it's not long until I start to reflect on how I personally relate what entertainment I'm currently absorbed in to real life. It's inevitable really. For example, if certain relationships portrayed on screen conflict with strong opinions I've adopted on a sensitive topic, especially those that take children into account, then I feel it's my responsibility to speak out against any media that even remotely promotes it. Yes, even if it's just fiction. Because art imitates life, right? (And yes, sometimes the other way around.) So in other words, our stories should mirror our way of life to some degree. History has seen its fair share of ugly events and traditions we are surely ashamed of but that we've hopefully learned our lessons from. Most societies nowadays seriously frown upon or condemn stuff like pedophilia, child grooming, or anything of the sort. Of course it doesn't help that we see still see these kinds of issues glossed over so much that we've become desensitized to them in many respects.
The thing is we cannot allow this way too common older-man-dotes-on-young-girl trope (or anything resembling it) to continue to be glorified or romanticized. It matters not that feudal Japan was a drastically different time to be alive and that this was the norm back then, or even that this remains a popular ship in Japan. All it comes down to is if whether we would currently tolerate such acts and behaviors were we to witness them in real life. If your answer is 'no', then it should be 'no' in every respect. If you deem it acceptable just because it's fiction, then I'm sorry to say, but you're going to have to answer to a lot of people. No surprise there, that goes for all fandoms. I guarantee you it's not just the people who personally identify as victims who have serious qualms with this ship either, because you don't necessarily need to have bad experiences of your own in order sympathize and see where a lot of these people are coming from. And no, just because I'm unhappy with the possibility of S*ssrin going canon does not mean I'm whining or that I'm attempting to spread negativity about this series before it's even out. Remember, fans have the right to be critical of whatever content it is they're watching/reading, and if they demand something in the storytelling be represented better, then of course they can challenge that. After all, none of us should feel like "canceling" the content we love is our only hope to fixing a story. That's not how it ever should be. Fans are fed up, and can you really blame them? Nah, we can strive to do better in this area, plus it's not like there isn't always room for improvement. So let's please be more vigilant about how the content we consume translates to reality, in addition to being mindful of how it can directly correlate to real life problems for ourselves as well as others around us.
That's a wrap, y'all!! I hope you enjoyed what I had to offer on this topic, and here's hoping I actually contributed something new to this conversation! I'm aware that that's unlikely the case for us fans who've been living in this tag the past couple days (like me lol), but I'd like to believe I put my own spin on it and it was still worth your while. 😉
P.S. Overall, I remain optimistic about the new show! So are there any friendly Inuyasha group chats on Tumblr I can join? If so, please do invite me! I need to obsess about this sequel even more than I already am, EEEK!!!

Another Wattpad teaser! I’ll give you the full first chapter for this one, since it’s hard to grasp the story without it. I do hope you all end up enjoying it!
Summary: Being the daughter to a demon butler came with many restrictions to (Y/n) Michaelis's life, but none that affected her as much as when she came into contact with the Grim Reaper Ronald Knox. At first, she promised herself that she wouldn't be fooled by his charming demeanor. But any lady who comes across him is bound to fall into his web, and what is she to do when demon's and grim reaper's are sworn enemies?
~
What a day the two gardeners of the Phantomhive Manor had had. What a painfully long and tiresome day.
Their orders for the day were to plant the knew shipping of flowers that had been brought into the estate from the other side of the country, and for some strange reason there was close to a thousand separate flowers. What motive Lord Phantomhive had for having so many flowers in his estate's garden was left a mystery, and his two gardeners were to suffer in the English heat as they worked against their will.
Now that it was sundown, they'd decided to take a break, considering they had so little energy and so little flowers left to plant. Who was 'they', you ask? Their names were Finnian and (Y/n).
With an unnecessarily loud sigh shared between the two of them, they flopped onto a nearby bench, and took a moment to gather themselves. They rested even though they knew that they weren't supposed to on account of the consequences that would follow for taking an unscheduled break. These consequences would be provided by the Head Butler, (Y/n)'s father, Sebastian Michaelis. And (Y/n) knew that just because she was his daughter, he wouldn't go any easier on her.
"Man...I'm beat. And we're not even done yet," Finny whined in his thick british accent as he wiped the sweat from his forehead in a single swift movement. "I'm still baffled as to why the Young Master had so many flowers shipped to the manor, it's almost as if he has a death wish to us," (Y/n) sighed in her slightly more formal accent as she slowly stretched her arms out in front of herself before letting them simply fall onto the wooden table before her, "While they are a rather beautiful touch to the garden, they are also much too much work in my opinion." "Yeah...and just think about the maintenance as well. We'll get halfway through watering them all and we'll drop dead," Finny joked in a worn out voice, leaning back against the table as he let his hand fall over his face.
(Y/n) thought about that statement. While she knew it was simply a joke, she couldn't help but think about how ironic that was, considering the fact that she was a demon and demon's simply couldn't just 'drop dead'. But you'd also think that if she's a demon, she'd be more than capable of taking care of a garden as large as the one they were in the process of making. That was incorrect. (Y/n) was only young, and was still trying to get a hold of her own powers. While she was graceful, and talented, like her father, big projects such as the garden were a bit overwhelming for her powers.
"Well, we better get back to work. If father catches us, he'll give us hell-"
"And it is hell you are about to receive."
(Y/n) and Finnian whipped their heads around violently upon hearing a voice with a statement that they wish they hadn't. Standing by one of the doors to the Manor was the Head Butler, Sebastian Michaelis, looking as if he hadn't done a single second of work. But (Y/n) knew he had, he was just efficient that way. Upon his face was a rather stern look, he very much disliked seeing servants slack off, especially when it was his daughter, whom he had very high expectations of. But what he didn't understand was that they had done honest work, and very much deserved a break.
"You're supposed to be planting the last of the new shipment of flowers, yet what I've come to find is that the two of you have skived off that last duty and it seems that you seek to circumvent it," He said in a serious tone as he approached the two, slowly, intimidatingly, before he stopped in front of them and crossed his arms, "I do wish for an explanation if you have one."
(Y/n) would be lying if she said she wasn't intimidated by her father. Just because she, herself was a demon, it didn't mean she didn't feel threatened whenever he gave her that closed eyed smirk, or when he glared daggers at her. Because not only was he superior in terms of status, but he was also superior in terms of power.
"M-my apologies Father...we were taking a short break, considering the fact that we've worked the entire day without a single break, and..." She held up her bare hands. They were cut up from the thorns of the roses, bruised from the tools she used and dirty for reasons that are obvious, "...I forgot to hang out my gloves after washing them yesterday, a-and my hands have taken quite the toll." Sebastian's tone softened slightly, and he uncrossed his arms. "That was rather imprudent of you, my dear," He sighed, a small smile coming to his lips as he approached his daughter, placing an arm around her shoulder. She leaned into him tiredly, and he found it in him to not reproach the two of them for the day. They were weary, and he knew better than to work his fellow servants beyond their capabilities. "Alright then, I suppose I can spare you both the lecture," He decided as he drew short circles on (Y/n)'s shoulder with his hand, "It's best you two come inside, it is getting dark after all. Your evening chores await you."
"Yes sir," The two gardeners sighed as they hopped up from off the bench and began inside, alongside Sebastian.
They were relieved to know that their big day was nearly over. All that was left to do was a few small chores about the Manor and they'd finally be able to take a bath and go to bed. And luckily enough for (Y/n), she had a caring father who was willing to clean up the small injuries that her hands bared from the hard day of work, even though it was her fault that they were even present in the first place. But then again, what kind of a butler would he be if he couldn't fix his own daughter's simple injuries up?
~
"You really should learn to be a little less impetuous, (Y/n)," Sebastian sighed as he ran a warm, wet cloth over the said, (Y/n)'s, hands, sat beside her at a table in the servants quarters with his chair facing hers. "I wouldn't call it being impetuous, father. I'm just...a little neglectful, maybe," She debated in a soft, tired voice, staring down at her hands as Sebastian worked on fixing them. "In saying that, there's a fine line between being impetuous and being neglectful. In my opinion, it'd be best if you were neither," He demurred as he placed the cloth on the table before picking up a pair of silver tweezers and letting the girl's hands rest in his lap, now looking to pull out any splinters he could find, "But you know that I love you no matter what, don't you?" (Y/n) let a small smile grace her lips as her eyes moved from her hands to her father. "Of course, I probably wouldn't be here if you didn't, considering the young master didn't seem to like me very much in the beginning."
That was no lie. The Earl Ciel Phantomhive didn't at all like the idea of a second demon in the household, he found it far too troublesome and nearly forced Sebastian to disown his daughter. But when (Y/n) presented him with her elegance and skill, he became less reluctant, and now seemed to favor her of all servants. Strange but...she didn't mind the perks that came of being the favorite.
"Yet now he seems to favor you of all of us. Children can be so indecisive, it certainly makes my life rather difficult," Sebastian sighed, having finished pulling all of the little splinters he could find from the girl's skin, now cleaning it once more before beginning to apply band-aids. "That's what you get for making a contract with a brat, father," (Y/n) teased, the man chuckling softly as he continued to wrap band-aids around her fingers. "Don't let him hear you say that, or next thing you know you'll have a few darts and a tea cup hurtling toward you," Sebastian jested as he applied the last band-aid, the father and daughter sharing a short burst of laughter before he packed up the small amount of medical equipment.
"Now, you best begin your evening chores, dear. Help Mey-rin with the washing, and remember to hang your gloves out this time," He said as he pushed the hair away from (Y/n)'s forehead before leaning in and pressing a gentle kiss to the space above her eyes, "Daddy loves you, kitten. Now off you go." (Y/n) smiled sweetly as she stood up, kissed her hand and then placed it upon her father's head, letting it 'sink in' before she took her hand back and began out, ready to begin her evening chores as per usual.
~
(Y/n) let out a long, drawn out sigh as she allowed herself to sink into the warm waters that the bath in the servant's quarter's held, enjoying the way the heat loosened up her tense joints and muscles. It was always the warm bath at the end of the day that the she-demon looked forward to the most, it was her chance to think while she was in a relaxed state of mind. But today, it seemed a little less relaxing. Since Sebastian had covered her hands in band-aids, courtesy of the cuts the roses provided, she had to keep her hands out of the water. And if that wasn't bad enough, a sort of demon 'growing pain' was starting to cause her grief.
Present upon the back of (Y/n)'s left hand was what appeared to be a splotchy red sort of rash type thing. But upon further inspection, it seemed to be in the shape of a pentagram, one that would soon match the one present on Sebastian's left hand. Since she was nearly old enough to have the ability to form contracts with humans, her Faustian symbol was beginning to show through her skin. It was a painful process, but Sebastian assured her that it wouldn't last too long. Once it fully appeared, she was told she'd have to wear gloves constantly, which wouldn't be too much of an issue considering she is one of the two gardeners of the Phantomhive Estate.
Her eyes glowed crimson as they wandered over the appearing mark upon (Y/n)'s hand. Sometimes she saw it as a blessing, sometimes she saw it as a curse. Why? Well, sometimes she liked to imagine what it would've been like if she was born into a human family. She'd have been able to enjoy the simpler things in life, like wearing pretty dresses and owning pretty items. But it wasn't like that at all. She had a sadistic father who enjoyed watching human's go corrupt and tear each other's throats out, and that's what her 190 000 years of living was subjected to. Watching humans start wars and kill each other over the most petty things. But that was where (Y/n) saw it as a blessing. Being a demon meant that she had proper control over her emotions and thoughts, unlike humans who are too complex for their own good. She didn't have to worry about going corrupt, because no demon ever had, and no demon ever would.
"(Y/n), are you done in there yet? I'm still covered in dirt."
(Y/n)'s thoughts were interrupted by the familiar voice of her fellow gardener, Finny, who was present on the other side of the bathroom door, clearly eager to have a bath as well. She realized that she must've lost track of time, she did that a lot when it came to her thoughts. "Oh-I'm sorry Finny, I'll be out in just a second," She apologised as she stood up in the bath, the water splashing slightly as she stepped out and grabbed her towel. Once she had dried herself, (Y/n) realized that she had forgotten her clothes. It seemed that her absent-mindedness was getting worse by the minute, and she quietly scolded herself before she tended to the door and met Finny on the other side. When he noticed that she didn't have any clothes, he laughed. "Forget your clothes again, huh?" He teased, the girl blushing in embarrassment as she tightened the towel. "Just another bad habit I need to drop. Anyways," She got around him and began pushing him into the bathroom, "get in there. You sir, are stinky." Quickly closing the door behind Finny, (Y/n) sighed before she began making her way toward the room she shared with Mey-rin, hoping to get there without bumping into anyone so she could at least keep a little bit of her dignity.
Luckily for her, (Y/n) managed to get to her room without the embarrassment of meeting someone else on her way, and as fast as she could, she got dressed into her white silk night gown, purely because she wanted to get into bed as soon as possible. But not all she wanted to achieve that night was sleep. No, not at all. Her plans were a little more complex than that...
~
2:34 am.
Now was her chance.
Her chance for what?
(Y/n)'s chance to sneak out of the manor and stretch her wings.
The girl had gained the ability of flight not too long ago, when she had to endure another lot of demon growing pains that were much worse than her contract pains, as her wings grew and spouted from her back. They were beautiful black feathered wings, much like a raven's wings, and she could pull them in and out of her back at will. She was yet to gain the ability of full transformation into a raven, like her father could, but she was content with simply the wings for now.
(Y/n) looked across the room at Mey-rin's bed and checked for signs of life. The red haired woman seemed to be out cold, a good thing on (Y/n)'s part as she carefully slid her blanket off and turned so that her feet were now dangling off her bed. Slowly, she let her feet down to the wooden floor, making sure to avoid any squeaky spots as she took to her feet and began tip-toeing as quickly and quietly as she could out the door. Once she had made it out of her room successfully, she stood still for a moment, listening out for any movement that would give her away. Demon's have extremely sharp hearing, and that was both an advantage and a disadvantage for (Y/n) in that moment, considering that if she made even the smallest noise then her father would catch her sneaking out. And if that happened, then she'd be in more trouble than she could ever imagine.
When she didn't hear anything, (Y/n) continued down the hallways of the servants quarters, and within a few good minutes, made it to one of the exits. She let herself wonder out into the garden to give herself some space, and once she was in the very center of it all, she knelt down so that she was closer to the ground. Reaching behind herself, her hands found the buttons to her nightgown and were now unbuttoning it, leaving it at halfway before they returned to in front of her and rested palms down on the grassy ground. She knew the next bit would hurt, but only a little bit. So, (Y/n) closed her eyes, and gave her mind entirely to the thought of flight. Within only a few seconds did she feel the dull pain of her wings beginning to push through her skin. They were slow to surface, but as soon as they had, they burst out magnificently, a few black feathers flying about as the two beautiful wings curled around the woman who they belonged to. Immediately did the pain go away, and immediately was she ready to take to the skies.
And so she did. (Y/n) shot into the sky like a spear in thrown in battle with sheer force, her feathered wings flapping majestically against the wind as she gained height. And eventually, she found herself high enough to see the town she lived near, and that was where she was currently headed. She liked watching over the town at night - or rather, early in the morning. It was interesting to see who was still awake, what they were doing, what their lives consisted of. And she liked to make sure that everyone who wondered around at such a dangerous hour was safe, even though she was raised to be sadistic and to enjoy the suffering of humans. She didn't know why she felt the need to protect any humans in danger, especially since that job already belonged to angels. She thought that maybe she was bored, and took it as a hobby. But there was definitely something deeper to it...
(Y/n) took her landing on the roof of a large building, one she came to recognize as a doctor's surgery that specialized in ophthalmology and ocular treatment. She walked past it every time she was ordered to run errands for the Young Master, errands such as buying groceries and the local newspaper. And every time she did, she always saw the same young man leaving for what she assumed was his lunch break. She'd also see him leaving at this time in the morning, because of his late shift. Whenever she saw him, he always looked the same. Disheveled, tired, and in need of a decent rest, something she figured he hadn't had in a while. To others, he appeared very average, very ordinary. But to (Y/n), he was quite handsome, quite interesting. His hair was a cocoa shade of brown, his eyes a light hazel, and his skin was pale, and almost like porcelain.
Ah, speak of the devil...
From within the entrance of the building came the very man she had been thinking of. She could see this because she was sat at the very edge, looking over and down to the front of the large structure. At first, she could only see him from a birds-eye view. But within a few moments, she could make out his entire body with his back turned to her. She wondered, what did this man do outside of work? Did he have any hobbies? Any dreams? A family? She didn't know his name either. While all of this information would be useless to her, she was simply curious, and she knew that once she found out this information, she'd simply find another human that caught her eye.
The brunette man had turned a corner, and moved onto the next street, so naturally she followed. As quietly as she possible could, (Y/n) leaped from building to building, graceful, elegant, charming, like a raven. She didn't let him out of her sight, determined to make sure he made it home, safe and unharmed. He was doing well at that, but what he hadn't noticed was the two vagrant men in one of the alleyways he was about to walk by. And unfortunately for him, one of them had a knife.
"Look who we 'ave here," Said one of the slimy old vagabonds as he and his friend crept out from their dark hideaway, his shiny bald head greased with the remaining grey hair that circled around his head and his clothes torn and stained with blood and beer. The second lad looked to be a tad younger than the first one, possibly even younger than the man they were about to mug, considering there were no wrinkles present on his face and his head was thronged with dirty brown hair that went down to just above his shoulders. It was unfortunate that someone so young was subjected to live such a life, being forced to steal from others off the streets just to survive. And while it was unfortunate, there was little that could be done about it. "What's a pathetic little poofter like you doin' walkin' round this late at night?" The young lad asked, the two men backing the brunette into the exterior of the shop they had just been hiding beside. "P-please...I don't want any trouble..." He begged in a quivering voice, having finally met the shop wall with his back. He had a small Irish lilt to his otherwise traditionally british accent, and his voice seemed kind and gentle. "We don't want any trouble either," The older man stated as he reached a hand into his disheveled coat, pulling out an item that made the victim's blood run cold, "so why don't you just hand us a bit of cash and we'll be on our way, hey?" The brunette could see his own reflection in the knife, gulping down a build up of his own saliva as he clawed at his sides for his wallet. However, he found that it wasn't on him. He must've left it in his office, this wouldn't be the first time for such a scenario to occur, but it was unfortunate that these were the circumstances in which it happened again. "I...I'm sorry, I don't have my wallet on me...I must've left it at work..." He apologised, the two other men looking between each other before their eyes landed back on their victim. "Well, that just won't do then," the older one sighed as he cleaned his knife with his shirt, "Jimmy, what do we do with people who won't cooperate?" "We beat em' in and stab the bloody hell out of em'!!" The younger man screamed as they began chasing the brunette down the street.
He ran for his life, faster than (Y/n) had ever seen him before. She wanted to help but she needed a little more space between the two groups before she could jump in and save him. However, that wasn't happening any time soon, since the homeless men were catching up to the ophthalmologist quick. No matter how loud he screamed for help, no one heard him, no one lived on the street he was running down, it was all just shops. The hope he had that someone would also be on their late shift quickly burnt out as he found himself cornered in an alleyway, much like the one the two men had come out of, but closer to his work place. They were creeping up to him like a pair of hungry lions who hadn't eaten in days, although (Y/n) wouldn't doubt that as a possibility.
She couldn't take it, he was about to die, and she'd gotten way too invested in his life to just see him disappear just like that. So, she stretched her wings out and dived down, planting her feet in front of the man and immediately bringing shock to all three of them. Their eyes were widened with fear, their jaws were dropped as far down as they go, and that's all she saw before the sound of a chainsaw and another garden appliance became evident and suddenly everything went black.
~
"Oh dear, Sebastian's going to kill me!"
(Y/n) was woken to the sound of a familiar voice, but when she opened her eyes, that voice didn't match the face that she was met with. There was a man, dark roots with blonde hair and thick black framed glasses. He was clad in a suit as far as she could see, but what was familiar about him was the color of his eyes. A fluorescent yellow-green. She'd seen the same color of eye on a friend of hers, Grell Sutcliffe, and that could mean only one thing.
He was a Grim Reaper.
"You 'right, love?" The man asked in his thick British accent, (Y/n)'s eyes moving to take in whatever other surroundings that happened to be sitting by her.
She found that she was lying on the ground in the very same alley she'd saved the brunette man in. However, there was no sign of him, only the unfamiliar grim reaper, and Grell who had joined the man in kneeling on the ground and staring at the girl, making sure she was okay.
"...w-what...happened?" She managed to croak, the blonde taking to grabbing her hands gently as he helped her into a sitting position. "I was about to reap that man's soul, he was to be stabbed by those other two men. But you beat us to them, and also took my death scythe to your head, which I'm surprised didn't kill you," he explained, (Y/n) rubbing her head as she groaned softly. "She is a demon, Ronald," Grell pointed out as he placed a comforting hand on her back and rubbed gentle circles against her nightgown. Her hands moved from her forehead to her eyes, and she rubbed them back to a more aware state, but not before a realization came to mind. "You guys were going to...kill him?" She asked, the so called Ronald shaking his head as he flicked his cowlick out of his eyes. "No, they were going to kill him. We were only here to reap his soul," he clarified, pushing the hair out of her face in an awfully friendly manner as he examined the large bruise that bordered over her hairline, "I daresay, Mr Spears is gonna be giving us a hefty pile of overtime for this one, Mr Sutcliffe. Especially for letting a demon interfere." "We won't tell him. He won't go as hard on us if we don't mention (Y/n). We should've been more careful anyways, she's only young," Grell decided, wrapping his arm around the lady and giving her a loving squeeze, "we'll just say that someone was passing by and was able to save him just in time, it's not like that's an impossible scenario." "You really think he'll believe us?" Ronald asked his superior, the red-haired man shrugging as he let (Y/n) rest her head on his shoulder. "Why not? It's worth a try," he said, Ronald sighing as he noticed the way the lady present looked quite out of it. "Yeah, okay. But we best get this little lady home, she doesn't look too well," he suggested, Grell nodding as he scooped her up into his arms and the two men stood.
(Y/n) was very well out of it. It may have seemed unusual for a demon to be affected by something as insignificant as a concussion, but she was only young, and after all, it was a death scythe that induced the sensation. She simply let her eyes rest as she felt occasional bumps and the small fishes of the icy night breeze. It all seemed like a flash before she found herself in bed once again, forgetting the events of that night but only while she slept.
~
Ronald found himself deep in thought when he and his superior left the Phantomhive manor, intending on heading back to the Grim Reaper Dispatch Center. He'd seen plenty of good looking women in his lifetime, human and reaper, but he had never seen a woman as memorably beautiful as her. But, heaven forbid he would be attracted to a demon. I mean, Grell was, but that man was quite the nut case, and Ronald wasn't sure that he wanted to live up to that example. However, those thoughts didn't stop him from acting on curious urges.
"What did you say her name was?" Ronald asked, his hands gripped tight on the handles of his lawnmower as he pushed it to allow Grell to keep up with him. "(Y/n) Michaelis, she's Bassy's daughter. We're good friends although her father doesn't approve," the redhead explained, flicking a long strand of blood red hair from his face. "Hm, a lovely bird she was. Quite the looker. Too bad she's demon," Ronald sighed, almost disappointingly which was very much unlike him. "I don't think that should be an issue," Grell suggested, the blonde giving him a strange look before they simply continued on their way in silence.

Ch2 - Operation Grandpup Drop (A SitBoy Discord Crack Fic)
Created by awesome people on the SessKag SitBoy Discord, one post at a time in complete wild abandon. This is a SessKag crack fic.
Chapter 2:
mythicamagicToday at 3:20 AM Sesshoumaru, meanwhile, had taken off on his own, eyes narrow. He could still hear the words of his mother ringing in his ears as he flew above the trees. But it was no matter. He felt certain he'd smelt Naraku's foul stench close by.
Walter205Today at 9:04 AM Inukimi watched her son go after giving the strange garment the briefest of sniffs before dropping it to the ground in his haste to leave. She sighed softly before turning to glance at the others. Her Sky Palace would be a most suitable location for the breedings to occur, perhaps she should round everyone up from both camps and have them waiting there for both her son and her hopeful second when they arrive?
Even if no one else breeds on their own, they could prove a useful distraction fodder for her amusement while she waited, in addition to an added incentive for her son and the miko to come visit her, if for no other reason then to "retrieve" their companions, then she would be able to spring her growing little plan into action. Nodding to herself silently, she smiled softly as her hands started glowing pink as she called her debilitating poison to the surface of her claws…
Slayer07/30/2019 While Sesshomaru  stood shocked that this she/he incarnation  asked to play with his hair. Naraku took his moment of shock to escape in a massive cloud of miasma
Stormie Like Weather07/30/2019 Poof! Frustrated, Sesshomaru glared at the new incarnation, "Do you always do what Daddy says, or can you think for yourself?" Gritting his teeth, "Your weak blood will sully my sword if I run you through."
Walter20507/30/2019 Jaken could still hear the clashing of swords but they were fading into the distance. Earlier Kohaku and Rin had tried to flee from Inukimi, leaving Jaken free to make his escape in the other direction. Trying to follow the path his Lord took through the forest, he came upon a hot springs. Neither his Lord nor the enemy he sounded to be fighting were present, although the miko's yellow satchel and odd items were strewn about the area, along with some signs a fight or two had taken place here.
His curiosity once again got the better of him as he examined several items from the Miko's Satchel, before coming across another odd garment, this one containing straps and two cups, the latter of which had soft padding that felt very pleasant to the touch. Jaken had no idea what this was used for but them came up with the idea that it might some kind of padded armor, meant to be worn under the clothes.
After stripping and bathing in the springs, he tried putting it on, but it seemed oddly sized for a toad of his stature. Still, he managed to get it where one cup protected his head and the other gave him some comfort when he sat down. On the negative side though his clothes couldn't quite fit over the armor but to be honest the padded armor covered enough of him that he didn't need to worry about it for the time being, after all the two battling warriors could return at any moment so Jaken hurriedly collected the other things into the Satchel before carrying it off into the forest, away from the sounds of battle.
mythicamagic07/30/2019 It smelled... Fusty. Or maybe it could be described as wet dog smell, but less without the dog and more... "Ah you're awake!" Kouga grinned, looking down at her. Kagome winced. Wolf. "K-kouga.." she sat up, squeaking when the furs draped over her naked body slipped down. She quickly hugged them to her chest. "Where are we? Where's Naraku?"
Stormie Like Weather07/30/2019 "Ah, there's no need to hide. I've already see-!" Clap! Her palm left a bright red mark on his cheek. "You've seen nothing!" She held fistfuls of the fur against her chest, and repeated slowly, "You. Kouga. Have. Seen. Nothing." He scratched the back of his neck, "Uh, right." He blinked, still smiling. She wanted to slap the stupid grin off his face, instead she gritted her teeth, "Thanks for saving me back there." Not catching a hint, he patted her head, "Of course I would protect my woman!" His expression quickly shifted to anger, "Where was dog breath!?" Kagome shrugged, "Back at camp, I was at a hot springs." That wasn't the point though, she needed to know, "Were you able to get Naraku?" Kouga shook his head. "Now that you are awake, I need to track the bastard down." He tilted his chin at a young wolf youkai to his side, "This boy will take care of you until we return." She looked over at the child and winced, "Wai-t!" But he was already gone.
mythicamagic07/30/2019 Kagome sighed. Well, there was no way she'd be waiting around twiddling her thumbs. She awkwardly glanced at the boy. "Could you um.. Turn around for a second?" The boy complied, and by the time he was given permission to turn back, Kagome was standing in a dress she'd somehow fashioned out of the furs that had been acting as a blanket. The boy blinked. "How did-" "No time~" she smiled brightly, waving. "I'm gonna go now. Do you have a bow and arrow handy?" Or underwear she wanted to add.
Stormie Like Weather07/30/2019 Itchy and smelling something akin to what she imagined an opossum might smell like, Kagome left with a bow, some arrows, and a package of food she suspected might be rancid. Trying not to be rude, she'd taken the offered package despite the smell, but with no intention of eating it, she left it by the entrance on her way out.
mythicamagic07/30/2019 Sango had taught her how to track, but it didn't exactly take a genius to work out which way Kouga had gone after leaving the rocky terrain. Broken twigs paved the way, like a hurricane had swept through. Wincing as the forest floor met her bare feet, Kagome raised her head, feeling the tell tale pull of jewel shards further ahead.
Stormie Like Weather07/30/2019 Unconcerned, Kagome made her way through the path created by the brash wolf, when something strange caught the edge of her sight. The little object gleamed in the sunlight. A plastic covered ramen cup..."How did this get here?" Looking further ahead, she noticed more items from the future dropped along the path. "Oh no!" She'd left her bag at the hot spring. "Some one has my backpack!" Stomp running, she gathered up her things, carrying them against her chest until she couldn't carry any more. She eyed her first aid kit in a bush. Her brow ticked. "I'm going to kill someone..."
Slayer07/30/2019 Jaken felt a shiver run down his back and a dark sense of impending doom.
Walter20507/30/2019 That sense of impending doom proved accurate when a distantly familiar female figure emerged from the edge of the clearing that he had been taking a breathing break in. It took several moments for Jaken to remember where he had seen the lithe figure with red hair and eyes before. While he couldn't remember this particular female's name, he recognized what she was instantly.
"You...you're...," he stammered as he took a few steps back with the satchel at his side.
"Karan, of the Panther Demon Tribe. I remember you, you're Lord Sesshomaru's Lackey. I bring an proposal to him, an offer from our leader Toran," said the figure as she came closer to him.
"N...no, stay back!" yelled Jaken as he started taking items from the largely depleted satchel and throwing them at her. Karan dodged most of them with ease but one item caught her interest for an unknown reason to her. A vial with a dotted green substance inside, with a little note attached that read; 'For Buyo, do not take to past'.
The cat's curiosity getting the best of her, she opened the vial and took a quick sniff before her eyes glazed over. She stuck her tongue and gently licked the edge of the green stuff before her eyes rolled into the back of her head and she collapsed backwards, mewing and purring softly as she spasmed and thrashed about on the ground.
"Buyo must mean Panther Poison, I must keep this with me," exclaimed Jaken as he gathered the various spilled things, put them back in the satchel, then continued on his way.
Stormie Like Weather08/01/2019 "Merow...merow...merrrroooooow." Kagome swallowed hard, staring at a fully transformed panther demon as it batted at a squeaky toy she'd intended to use as a way to taunt Inuyasha. She blinked, and shook her head. The youkai suddenly hissed at the stuffed toy and it caught fire. "Merrrrrrow!" Her tail swished back and forth, and she rolled over onto her back, kicking in the air at an invisible opponent. Kagome sighed, "I'm so done today. If one more crazy thing happens..." That's when she heard the squawking up ahead. "Jaken." She seethed. His head was illuminated by the setting sun, and what he was wearing was unmistakable. The lace. The silk. The 600 yen price tag dangling from the strap. With a clatter, everything in her arms fell to the ground, and she charged the stupid toad with an arrow in her hand. "You perverted frog! Just you wait, when I get my hands on you, you're gonna pay!"
Walter20508/01/2019 The feeling of impending doom was upon him again. Turning his head as he heard a noise behind him, Jaken's eyes opened wide as he took in the visage of the spectre of death herself, an irate and familiar human female scantily clad in furs, eyes glowing as pink a color as the tip of the arrow that she held in her hand.
"Please no I'm sorry you can have it all back!" he squawked as he shrugged off the bra and dropped the satchel. All it did however was to make it where she could strike him at will without further damaging any of her belongings. With a cry of fury that channeled all of her frustrations of the day, she stabbed the arrow into his toaddy buttocks, causing him to cry out in anguish as the little purifying power there burned his slimy tooshy.
Flexing her arms that had built up years of strength from lugging around said packed yellow satchel, Kagome lifted the impaled Jaken up onto her bow and notched him into the sky as she pulled and released, sending the toad arcing into the night sky with a terrified yell on a pink contrail as she sent him blasting off again.
Collapsing to her knees afterwards as the adrenaline started to wear off, Kagome took stock of her belongings present. She picked up her brand new push up bra by one of the...uninfected straps and examined the slime and sweat infested materials within as she mentally wrote off the expense, knowing that even if she washed it five hundred times she would never be able to wear it without thinking of the toad wearing it.
Stormie Like Weather08/01/2019 After digging a small hole, Kagome said a few kind words about her bra before dropping it in, "I never got to use you, but you were one of the best bras I've ever bought online." She wiped away a tear with the back of her hand, "I wish I could have worn you at least once before the end." She pushed dirt over the tiny grave. For a moment she wondered if tempting the well's power would be worth it for the chance to have a bra again. Probably not. She could try to make one, but it'd be a sad comparison to what had been lost. There was a chance she'd run across one of the other two she'd brought with her, but the likelihood of finding them was slim, and who knew if Jaken had rubbed his slimy butt all over those as well. Backtracking to gather up the belongings she'd dropped at the sight of the filthy little creature, she noticed the panther demon had left the area. The faint sounds of battle laid ahead. With her backpack zipped closed, she pulled it up on her shoulder. Fists clenched, glaring at the path ahead, Kagome vowed to do more damage to Naraku than biting his tentacle the next time they met.
imjaneees08/01/2019 Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned and she's a scorned woman who just got a few good bucks wasted. Underwears were ridiculously expensive and that was one fine pair she just got herself. Not mention if was probably desecrated by an overgrown toad with major personality problems.
A shiver went down her spine and Kagome didn't know if it was out of revulsion or her sometimes reliable sixth sense telling her that things weren't about her way again.
Stormie Like Weather08/01/2019 Darkness crept in, but she could still hear the clanging of swords and growls of youkai. Out of no where, Kagome fell back with an, "Oof!" Her back slammed into rocks while her chest felt like a brick sat on it. Coughing, she opened her eyes to the strangest visual. A woman, no a man, straddled her breasts. Glittery bearded, blood red eyes sparkling, hair tied up like Kaguras'.  "Hey girl!" Kagome blinked, "Um, hi." She winced, "Do you think you could get off my chest?" He shook his head, "Daddy says I can't, but let's be friends anyway! Okay?" The crazy look in his eyes gave her chills. She nodded slowly while praying to Kami she'd make it through this.
Slayer08/01/2019 In a flash of red and white the bearded lady was tossed off of Kagome.
Stormie Like Weather08/02/2019 Blinking through the dust, Kagome expected to see Inuyasha standing there with his sword at Sparkle Beard's throat, but, much to her surprise, it was Sesshomaru promising his death.
imjaneees08/02/2019 Still reeling from the very creepy image of Kagura with a beard, Kagome silently prayed that if was the real Sesshomaru this time. She's had enough tentacle experience for one day.
Walter20508/02/2019 Both of them had been momentarily distracted by the pink arrow arcing up into the night sky in the distance with a screaming form atop it, but Sesshomaru with his superior battle prowess was the first to recover and managed to land a fatal blow against Murakumo. The incarnation let out a hideous death scream before it changed into mocking laughter before his form disappeared and a golem token appeared, split in half.
Sesshomaru sighed audibly, recalling that after his eleventh power up while hidden in seclusion that Naraku had gained the ability to provide golems for this incarnations in addition to himself. In addition, after his 13th hidden power up, he had gained the ability to equip his bees with biological boomboxes that mocked them whenever they defeated a golem.
Right on time came by a saimyosho going "kukukukukukukukukukukukukukuku..." as it flew by before being swatted by Sesshomaru's green poison whip. Turning, he headed in the direction that the arrow had come from earlier, before coming across the sight of a beared version of Kagura sitting on the miko's chest. He stopped and stared at the two of them before knocking the bearded thing off.
"Right, enough is enough for one day," muttered Sesshomaru as he unleashed an attack on the untypical figure. The incarnation deflected the attack, but by the time the smoke had cleared, Sesshomaru had gathered Kagome into his arms and formed the ball of light around them both before taking off into the night sky. The bearded Kagura tried to pursue but was rapidly being left in the dust.
revang08/02/2019 “Boo, that’s no fun,” Murakumo pouted, coming to a stop when the pair were out of his range of detection. “And just look what they’ve done to my lovely sakura pink hakama! This is going to take scrubbing.” After a minute of dejectedly stroking his ever-sparkly beard, he sighed. “I suppose I have to go report back to daddy now. He’s, like, so not going to be happy.”
Walter20508/02/2019 Inukimi sighed as she wrapped a hand around the enchanted necklace resting on her shoulders, watching the impudent half demon before her actually try to challenge her authority over all of them. He had drawn his sword and even dared to raise it against her, in her own sky palace none the less!
"Now you'll die for kidnapping us! Take this, Blades of Boulders!" yelled Inuyasha as he used the Rock Tetsuiga to unleash boulders formed into the shapes of claw strikes at his half brother's mother.
Unsuprisingly, a barrier formed into existence to block his attack, leaving him dumbfounded that one of his most powerful recently learned attacks was totally ineffective against his nemesis. As was usually the case, he fell back on a old friend of his next as he leapt into the air for his next attack.
"It's over. Wind Scar!"
At this point Sango, Miroku, and Shippou placed their heads into their hands. They knew he had run out of options at that point, but why does he think that that'll work? All three of them sighed out loud while the old energy attack struck and sizzled out against the barrier.
"Are you done playing tantrum, Inu Child?" asked Inukimi as her eyes started glowing with warning of potential punishments to come.
revang08/02/2019 Inuyasha growled low in his throat, still brandishing his Tessaiga. He didn’t know what this crazy bitch was capable of, and he didn’t like it one bit. There was no way in hell he was going to just let her keep them here captive. He still had to go find Kagome!
Miroku sighed and shook his head at his brash hanyou friend. He appreciated the protectiveness, and knew it was his way of caring for them, but sometimes.... Well, this had gone on long enough.
He calmly walked up and placed his hand on Inuyasha’s shoulder. “Come now, Inuyasha, is this any way to treat our hostess? She has promised Kagome will be joining us here. We should listen to what the lovely lady has to say.”
This last comment earned him a glower from Sango, and he smiled back at her guiltily, scratching the back of his head.
Walter20508/02/2019 "Naraku, today is the day that I will end your reign of terror. This time you've gone too far, going after my intended like that!" yelled Kouga as he leaped to attack the demon that had been looking for his trail.
"Ah, the young demon leader of the Wolf Tribe returns. Did you come to peacefully hand over your five shards of the jewel?" asked Naraku mockingly as he prepared for battle.
"Shut up and die!" Kouga yelled as he leapt into the air and attacked with a leg kick. He surpisingly made impact with Naraku's body, wondering why he didn't impact the barrier first. The answer became clear when his leg started being absorbed into Naraku's body.
"No! I don't want this, you can't take me like this, I won't let it happen!" yelled Kouga while trying to free himself from Naraku's digusting mass.
"Heh, what would you know about not wanting something? If you had any clue you would know that Kagome doesn't want you in the least, yet you still pine for her affections at every turn as if she's going to suddenly warm up to you. But don't worry, I'll give you the companionship that she never will as you become one with me," Naraku cruelly taunted as the wolf continued to be further absorbed into his body.
revang08/02/2019 Suddenly in the sky came a bright pink projectile, squawking shrilly as it raced directly towards the fighting pair. At the last second, Naraku threw himself back, just barely avoiding the dangerous missile of purity, but losing his hold on the wolf. The arrow yelped repeatedly as it tumbled over and over itself, finally resting in a thatch of bushes several yards away.
Walter20508/02/2019 Kouga was not one to waste a good opportunity to run away. In a quick swirl of dust he was gone, taking the screaming pink object with him as it was caught up in his cyclone. Knowing that Naraku would be chasing after him though, he changed direction and instead of heading back to the Wolf Demon Hideout he instead started chasing Puppyboy's scent, although he seemed to almost be flying as the scent on the air seemed.
Stormie Like Weather08/02/2019 "See!" Kouga thought to himself while running, "Kagome just saved my life, there's no way she could have known of my being in danger if she didn't feel it in her heart."

13. Paraphernelia
read the scarecrow and the bell on ao3
index | from the beginning | < previous | next >
What if I can't forget you? I'll burn your name into my throat. I'll be the fire that'll catch you. What's so good about picking up the pieces? None of the colors ever light up anymore in this hole. -Caraphernelia, Pierce the Veil
Kakashi laid in bed, watching the shadows dance against the ceiling. The ticking of his alarm clock seemed far louder as he struggled to fall asleep. His mind was racing. He couldn’t stop thinking of Rei.
Ever since that afternoon in the lobby, watching that butterfly hatch, he had felt strange and unhinged. His desperation to avoid her had transformed into a childish excitement every time he laid eyes on her. She reminded him of something he had for so long considered lost, though he wasn’t quite sure what it was yet. He hadn’t found its name. He just knew the feeling, bright and brilliant and commanding. A part of him began to realize perhaps this reunion wasn’t for the worst, after all. He had spent so many years distancing himself for fear of putting her in the line of fire, of endangering her. He couldn’t afford to lose anyone else. No matter how hard he tried, though, she was stubborn and strong. She pushed back and now here she was, a member of the black ops alongside him. She had earned her place here, though he didn’t even want to think about the process of getting there. The thought of her killing men and fighting in battles turned his blood icy. The thought of her actively pursuing danger at all terrified him.
What did this mean for the two of them, though? Clearly, she was unavoidable. By now he had made his peace with that. But how far was he willing to let things go? What would happen if he fully accepted her back into his life? She made him feel strange and unsure of himself, as if he was a kid all over again. Self-conscious, almost. He wasn’t sure if this was a good thing or not. Either way, he liked the way she made him feel, or at least he thought he did. He wasn’t entirely sure. It had been a long while since he had felt anything like this, if he ever really had at all. There was something vaguely familiar about it, but only in the same way as a dream. It was as if he had perhaps felt this way once before a long, long time ago, perhaps in a completely different dimension, even.
Still, none of this addressed the most pressing issue: their careers. The life of a shinobi was a dangerous one and as far as he was concerned, he couldn’t stand to let anything into his life he could risk losing. The ANBU made this even more significant. He was supposed to be nothing but a machine, an anonymous mask of a person doing his duty and nothing more. Wasn’t he? He didn’t quite know anymore. Was it possible to have a genuine social life with this career? He had always thought not, but now he didn’t know what to think. It was as if Rei’s presence in his life was making him question everything he thought he knew.
When he finally fell asleep, he saw himself in a field near a lake. He was laying in the grass, staring up at the sky. Everything was good. He had no fears or responsibilities. He looked to his left and saw Rei beside him, a gangly child with crooked teeth and unkempt hair. She grinned at him and clasped his hand in hers, then pointed up at the clouds overhead, giggling.
“Look, ‘Kashi! Look at that one!” she exclaimed. “It looks like a dog! And that one looks like a bunny!” Kakashi smiled at her, looking up at the clouds overhead. They remained silent for a moment before Rei then spoke again. “I like clouds. They’re fun to look at. Especially when I’m sad. Sometimes, when daddy gets angry or mommy won’t let me do what I want, I like to come out here and look at them. They make me feel better. When I look at the clouds, I can see anything I want to in them. They make me feel a little less icky.”
I can see anything I want in them. Kakashi turned that thought over in his mind. To think, clouds were unformed masses, blank canvases floating through the sky. They were statues not yet sculpted, lives waiting to be built. Perhaps he was nothing but a cloud, unformed and blank. A cloud once dark and gloomy now cleaned and pure and ready to be turned into something new. He looked over at Rei laying beside him, grinning wide as she stared up at the sky. That feeling inside him burned stronger than ever before and he suddenly felt a strong surge of what he could only assume was nostalgia or déjà vu. Familiar and breathtaking. He squeezed her hand a little tighter and the feeling swelled even more. What was this feeling? It terrified him, but he liked the way it felt. Almost as if it was something not meant to be felt and in feeling it, he was committing some sort of crime. A forbidden emotion locked away and never meant to resurface.
A voice called to him from beyond, first vague and echoed but growing ever-clearer. He swore he recognized it, the voice of a young girl unlike Rei. He slowly picked his head up but as he did so, he felt the tension build in the redhead’s grip as if she didn’t want him to leave her. His curiosity got the best of him, though, and their fingers tangled apart. He sat up and looked on to find Rin and Obito standing in the distance, waving him nearer. He rose to meet them, then looked back down at Rei still on the ground. She was still as a corpse, hands folded atop her chest and glassy eyes staring skyward. He glanced back to his childhood teammates only to find the meadow had been engulfed in flames. Their bodies burned and then charred, ashes drifting away in the breeze. He locked eyes with Rin’s sad face as she whispered something to him and his heart ached. Kakashi…why…? Why did you…?
Kakashi sprung awake gasping for breath. His face had grown hot under his mask and his nose itched and for a minute he was certain he was going to be sick. His eyes landed on the framed picture beside his bed, the one of his old team. His stomach churned and he slowly set the picture face-down. He didn’t want to think about Rin and Obito right now. Especially not Rin. However, there was no stopping things now. His brain had already hopped onto that train, there was no turning back. Her image burned in his mind, the look on her face the day she died. The way she whispered his name, the tears pooling in the corners of her eyes. He had promised Obito he would protect her for him, and he failed. She had never done anything wrong. She even loved him. And he killed her.
What made him think he could do any better of a job protecting Rei? He had already failed just by ignoring her for so many years. Was it possible to make amends for that? To apologize for what he had done and begin caring for her again? He fell back into bed and rubbed his eyes. It was far too late to be thinking about such things. He needed sleep, but he knew try as he might it wasn’t going to come so easily now. His mind drifted to fifteen million different places, mostly all in the past. He thought of the day he met Obito and Rin, of his training alongside Minato-sensei. Of the time he invited the two of them for dinner and they swore his food tasted straight out of a restaurant. And then his mind hopped back to a hazy afternoon sitting beside Obito.
“Rin…I…I really like her!” Obito confessed dreamily. He watched her standing before a shop window below, examining some desserts.
“Why don’t you just tell her you like her then?” Kakashi asked.
“T-tell her?! I’m not ready yet!” Obito protested, sweat beading on his brow at the prospect. He watched Kakashi sort through his weapons, then added, “Besides, why should I take love advice from you? I never see you with a girlfriend!”
Kakashi remembered the way his heart leapt into his throat at the statement, the smirk that touched his lips beneath his mask. He dutifully tried to keep his home life and his work life separate, which meant Obito and Rin knew nothing about Rei. If they hadn’t lived in the same village and likely crossed paths unknowingly every now and again, they never would’ve known she even existed. Much like his friendship, he kept his reaction to Obito’s statement a secret. “Do I look like I’m looking for a girlfriend right now? I’m not the one whose lovestruck here. Anyways, there’s another reason you should tell her.”
Just then, Rin appeared, all smiles, carrying a basket of purchases. “Kakashi, there you are!” she exclaimed. “I bought you some special chocolates!”
Kakashi sighed, leaning his chin in his hand. “I know she’s ‘your’ girl, so I won’t steal her, but you really need to get the guts to tell her how you feel, or else this love triangle is never going to end.”
Rin slid in beside him and opened the basket to reveal the fat chocolate candies she brought for him. “I hope you like them! The shopkeeper said they were super delicious” she enthused.
It was always when he’d come home from a long day or a strenuous mission when he’d realize just how different Rei was from Rin. Rin was always doing nice things for him, proving her affection, and perhaps sometimes even trying too hard. With Rei, everything was natural. She never bothered trying to impress him. All she ever wanted was to hear about his day and everything he had learned in his training. She just wanted to spend time with him. But perhaps that was the way things were when you knew someone as long as they had. After all, Rei couldn’t even eat solid foods when he first met her.
He wondered how the time could’ve possibly passed by so quickly. When Kakashi thought about his past as a whole, he felt as if he had been alive forever. He had seen and done so much already. But when he thought about things in regards to Rei, it seemed like his childhood was just yesterday. He remembered the day they met clear as morning, the way he peered at her red, scrunched up face fascinated with how anything could ever be that tiny and fragile. How his very first instinct was “This girl needs to be protected,” and how he refused to even humor the notion of the responsibility belonging to anyone but him. Now, he wasn’t even sure how much she needed protection anymore. She had become a strong, accomplished young woman without any of his help. She was completely different, though yet somehow also exactly the same. Still gangly and hotheaded and messy, but now tough and capable and intelligent, as well. And she lived right down the hall.
He wondered if she had trouble sleeping, too, and for a split second even entertained the idea of knocking on her door to check. He quickly brushed that thought clearly out of his mind, however. That was ridiculous. He would not knock on her door. What if she was asleep? He would wake her up, and if there was one trait of hers that carried on into adulthood it was probably that she was cranky when tired. He couldn’t see that being something she would grow out of, no matter how common it is in children. Still, a part of him wished they had lived across the way from one another instead so he could simply just look out his window and immediately know whether she was awake or not by the presence or absence of a light. If only.
Eventually, Kakashi decided perhaps the best thing to do was to pick up a book. If it didn’t put him to sleep, at the very least it would get his mind off of everything. As he scanned the pages of Makeout Paradise, however, he realized this problem was rooted far deeper than he expected. That vision from the other morning, when Guy knocked on his door, was apparently still fresh in his mind because no matter what he did, he couldn’t stop picturing Rei as the female lead. He thought perhaps he could just suppress this, or that maybe it wasn’t quite so bad, until he reached one particular scene in which the main character arrives at her apartment and things get rather steamy. Kakashi blinked a few times, unable to get the image out of his head, then closed his book, buried his face in his pillow, and groaned loudly. This was pointless. He would never regain his sanity.
As the sun began to peek over the horizon, Kakashi decided to officially give up on sleep. He’d be exhausted, of course, but it wasn’t like he had navigated through his days sleepless before. He could hear the sounds of other ninja starting their day outside, slamming doors and soft chatter. Eventually he, too, would be forced to join them and in doing so, forced to see Rei again. He wasn’t sure if he could do it. He wasn’t sure if he could stand to face her. But then again, did he really have a choice?
Kakashi wasn’t sure if he believed in fate or not, but suddenly he began to wonder if this was all just the work of destiny. Logically, he knew this was merely just a testament to hard work and skill. Without those two accomplishments, Rei never would’ve made it this far. But he couldn’t help but wonder if maybe there was more to it than that. Maybe he was meant to be reunited with Rei. He had already lost so much, and the risk of getting attached only to lose again was horrifying, but he also knew deep down he didn’t want to spend the rest of his life alone. In the daylight, his feelings were growing clearer and he was starting to think that maybe he wasn’t so scared of them anymore. Rei must have reentered his life for a reason. In a way, this was potentially the perfect opportunity to make things right. There was something sorely lacking in his life and he was beginning to think Rei was the cure. Those feelings he had felt, he was slowly understanding what they were and it made his desire to pursue this all the more intense. He liked Rei. He cared for Rei. He had made a lot of mistakes in the past, but this was one thing he could not afford to screw up should he go for this. As he rose from bed and began preparing for the day, he knew right then and there that no matter what, he did not want to let her slip through his fingers.

Everything I Didn't Say
Happy birthday, Mommy Maits.
Dear Mommy, happy birthday. I love you, next to God but above anyone else. Both of us love music, so I'm using the lyrics of songs that I find fit to everything that I wanted to tell you whenever I hear them.
You are my world.
🎶 There's so many things I wanna say. I will always love you, I would never leave you alone. 🎶
Hindi ako madalas mag-message sa'yo ng ganito, but I always want to talk to you. Remember how I always tell you everything that I do, everyone that I know, and all the things that run into my mind whenever we talk through the phone and in person? LOL. I always think that it's nice to tell you every thing that happens in my life kasi you're not just my Mom, you're also my best friend and my safe haven. Napapanatag ako kapag sinasabi ko sa'yo ang lahat. Yes, I want you to see how obedient and honest I am for you to trust me enough when it comes to my decisions. But also, I want you to feel that I love you. That I love you that much to tell you the truth even when I know that you won't like some of it. Kahit po alam ko na mapapagalitan o mapagsasabihan mo ako sa ibang pinaggagagawa ko o sinasamahan ko, I'd still tell you honestly how and why I did it because I love you to the point where I can't seem to lie to you. You don't deserve my lies. You never will. So I'm assuring you always that I'll be honest. I am even telling you who my crush is. LOL, medyo big deal siya but hey, you're my Mom. What's wrong with telling you who makes me blush whenever I see him, right? Haha! Just don't think that I'll be having a boyfriend soon 'cause I don't think that I'd have one this year. Ask me again in 2019. I don't tell you that I love you because we weren't really that sweet to each other, but I am making ways to make you feel it. Hahaha. Could you tell whenever I'm trying to? I hope so. I'll never leave you, Mommy. How could someone live if she'll leave her world? She'd probably die or be miserable until death.
🎶 Sometimes I just forget, say things I might regret. 🎶
I'm sorry if I make you upset, Mommy. Sorry po kasi pinapairal ko ang katigasan ng ulo ko at ginagawa lang ang gusto ko. Sorry kung nagtatampo ako sa'yo kapag hindi mo ako pinapayagan sa ibang gusto kong puntahan. Sorry kasi dumadagdag pa po ako sa mga nagpapasakit ng ulo mo when I should be comforting you kasi ang dami mo na ngang inaasikaso at iniisip. Please know that even when I'm being a brat, at the end of the day, magsisisi pa rin ako kasi I don't feel good kapag hindi tayo bati. :3
🎶 It breaks my heart to see you crying. 🎶
I'll never get used to see you crying and I don't even want to try. I don't even want to see you crying, more so, hear you sob because I always want you to be happy and comfortable. I have seen you cry more than the times that you allowed me to see. I also heard you cry and that's the most horrible sound that I have ever heard. I cried with you silently without you knowing. Even when I'm far from you, I want to comfort you and tell you how you mean to me even when you're flawed, even when you failed and even when you're broken beyond repair. I'd love you still. How could I not love the person who showed me how to love? You are the best example of a loving daughter and you inspired me to be one. After all, the best mother deserves the best daughter, so here I am!
🎶 I don't wanna lose you, I could never make it alone. 🎶
Natatandaan ko pa po ang sinabi mo noon na "Kapag ako namatay, kakagatin mo ang siko mo." Alam mo po bang simula noon, sinubukan kong kagatin ang siko ko? Hahaha. It's not because I want you gone, I just wanted to know kung kakayanin ko ba kapag namatay ka na. I'd probably be miserable my whole life. I can't imagine my life without you, I'd be lost forever. Here's a little secret; when I was young, nasa mga prayer ko ang mauna sana akong mamatay sa inyo ni Daddy kasi hindi ko kaya kapag iniwan ninyo ako. Haha. Pero nung iniwan naman ako ni Daddy, kaya ko naman pala, hindi naman kasi kami ganun ka-close at mas kailangan naman kasi kita at mas mahal. I dunno pero kahit mas spoiled ako kay Daddy and kahit you were always strict, I'd always choose you over Daddy. Strange. Strange kasi he's my blood and I thought that it'll always be thicker than water. Hmm. Maybe because you're the best among the rest of them. Kaya siguro hindi ko magawang sumama noon kay Daddy kahit mas sweet siya. HAHAHA. Alam ko po siguro deep inside me na mas mahal mo ako, mas ramdam ko siguro kahit hindi ko naririnig. I could never make it without you, Mommy. Don't leave me, ha? I'm a bit scared kapag naiisip ko po na magbi-birthday ka kasi tumatanda ka po. Thankful naman ako kay Lord kasi may isang taon kami ulit na kasama ka but still, it's freaking scary to think about you getting older. Hindi ko pa rin po kayang kagatin ang siko ko up 'til now and I probably won't be able to, kaya don't leave me, Mmy, ha?
🎶 You keep me standing tall, you helped me through it all. 🎶
When I'm insecure about myself, you'd always tell me that I could do it, except dancing. Sabi mo sa akin lagi, "Sus, kayang kaya mo 'yan." And I'd believe that I could do anything kasi kasasabi mo lang po eh. But when it comes to dancing, wala yata talaga kasi sinabi mo rin po eh. Haha. Whenever I'm having a hard time, you'd be there to guide me and tell me what to do. I appreciate all of that po.
🎶 I have always needed you, I could never make it alone. 🎶
I'll always need you kahit saan po ako mapunta kaya please be there for me always. I'll always be with you, too. I'll be your best friend and your daughter. I'll take care of you and I'll love you more because you deserve to be taken care of and to be loved more than you think you do. You're precious, Mommy.
You are my light.
🎶 Staring out at the rain with a heavy heart, it's the end of the world in my mind. 🎶
When I was a younger, I usually think that this world is better off without me because I shouldn't be here in the first place. I always thought that I was Mama and Papa's mistake, do tou know that Mommy? I thought that I ruined their lives but I never wanted any of this. I blamed them for being irresponsible and almost held a grudge against them for that. I always thought that I wasn't enough for anyone to stay just because Dad chose to leave me... He left us. Whatever, it's his loss.
🎶 Then your voice pulls me back like a wake up call. I've been looking for the answers somewhere. I couldn't see that it was right there. 🎶
Whenever I feel worthless, I think of you and I feel useful. I always wanted to be useful for you. Gusto ko po makatulong lagi sa'yo para hindi ka po masyadong mahirapan, I think that's the reason why I was born. I think I was born for you to become the best mother. If that was actually it, then I'm glad to be Mama and Papa's mistake just to be your ray of sunshine. I hope that I'm one of your rays of sunshine or even just the color orange in the rainbow of your life.
🎶 But now I know what I didn't know: because you live and breathe, because you make me believe in myself when nobody else can help. 🎶
You're my one-man cheering squad. Your happiness is also my happiness. My success is invalid without you because all of it is because of you. Dearest Mommy, if some days I'll turn again into your bratty daughter, please know that at the end of those days, I am regretting it wholeheartedly but I'm just too shy to say sorry. Even when I'm shy to say sorry, I'd always try to make it up to you. I'll always appreciate how you defend me and how you take my side when you know that I'm right but please don't do that often because it makes me cry. Hahahaha. Just tell me how I'm tough to ge through it and just be there for me always, like forever. Haha!
🎶 Because you live, Mom, my world has twice as many stars in the sky. 🎶
I put so much into this letter for you because you deserve it. I'll leave all the tears and emotions that passed through me here, in this very letter, and hope that you'll feel how much you are loved by a person you named Anne Nicole. You make my world even brighter, Mommy. You make anyone's world brighter. Your love is so precious to the point that some people are scared of it because they know that it's too much for them to deserve.
Cheers to another 50 years ahead!

Hit n Run [BONGLENI]
IX. Unexpected Trouble (Explicit)
Natalia consistently talked about this frequent guest at their school whom she loves so much.
"Lagi niya akong sinasabihan ng cute at matalino." She shared ecstatically flashing her hand with a stamp of stars. "Awww. Gustong gusto mo talaga yung naaappreciate ka noh?" Natalia nodded.
"Alam mo, pareho tayo. Gusto ko rin yang ganyang feeling... Kaso hindi naman ako naappreciate ng mga tao masyado..." Her voice faded as she stared blankly. "...  Maliban sayo syempre. Lagi mo akong naaappreciate kaya love na love ka ni ate e!" She hugged her tightly.
"Wag ka po mag-alala ate, kapag may boyfriend ka na..." Leni chuckled upon hearing her. "... May makakaappreciate narin sayo maliban saakin." Natalia assured. "Mmm... Oo, sana." Her voice faded as she thought of one specific person.
Rodrigo.
Sayang wala na kami. Kelan kaya ako ulit makakakilala ng taong maappreciate ako?
Suddenly, someone knocked on the door. It was their neighbor from another apartment unit, Tiffany.
"Uy, napadaan ka?" She asked as Tiffany looked troubled. "Kailangan ko ng tulong mo, Lens." Leni took her inside her apartment to talk.
"Ikaw lang yung naisip kong pwedeng takbuhan e." Tiffany began. "Yung nanay nanayan ko kase darating, hindi ko pwedeng itago 'to sa bahay." She handed Leni a box, it was kinda heavy.
"Ano 'to?" Leni asked in surprise. "Mga alahas yan worth one hundred thousand. Di ko pwede iwanan sa bahay yan kase kukunin yan ng nanay nanayan ko e..." She pleaded.
Leni felt extremely overwhelmed with the amount of things she wants her to keep. She felt scared to look over such expensive items. "Please Leni. Pinaghirapan ko yung mga yan, kapag nakita niy yan, isasangla njya yan tapos ipangsusugal. Please?" She begged. Leni knew how greedy Tiffany's step mom was, she sympathized with her and so, she had no choice but to accept.
"Jusko salamat, Leni!" Leni took the box and kept it safe on her cabinet.
The day came, Tiffany's step mother came. Leni could clearly hear the yelling and fights from across the hallways of the apartment units — she pitied Tiffany.
She prepared Natalia's breakfast and transported with her to the school before she headed to the office.
Bongbong remained cold towards Leni. He distracted himself by going back to his womanizing habits making things awkward for Leni at the office.
"Hala." She whispered on her desk as she recalled that she has to pay Natalia's tuition fees at school before tomorrow.
Water bills. Apartment bills. Association fees. Electric bill. Groceries.
She felt loaded as she recalled how much she has to pay. She began writing down a list to budget her money.
P5000 nalang matitira sa ipon ko...
She sighed in distress. She felt like her money is too limited and insufficient to sustain the life she wants Natalia to get. She tried to think of some ways to get extra money without losing time for Natalia but she couldn't think of anything than working harder and being promoted, finding another side job or asking for some financial help from Rocos though it is very unlikely that it will get approved.
Leni walked home trying to save up instead of taking the bus. She unlocked her apartment door and entered. She closed the door next to her and paused for a moment as she noticed the messy set up of the unit.
"Nat?" She called out but she wasn't there. Her heart started to pound harshly, her blood began to rush as she thought that someone might have cracked into their apartment.
Yung box!
She panicked towards the room. She stopped breathing for a moment and opened the cabinet to check on it. She slowly exhaled as she saw that the box was still there.
Her anxiety almost killed her. She opened the box to check on it and it largely startled her to see that it was empty.
"Jusko, hindi pwede. God. Jusko..." She swore in fear. She started to tremble as she searched the whole cabinet hoping it was there but she ended up with nothing. She tried to check on her other cabinets and drawers hoping she just misplaced it.
Isang daang libo yon, hindi pwede. Jusko... Please, God.
She started to get teary as she searched through her things for the jewelries. She began to cry in hopelessness. It felt like the world is crashing down slowly. The only hope is to ask Tiffany if she took the jewelries.
Sana nga kinuha niya lang.
"Hi." Leni greeted weakly as Tiffany the next day. "Uy, Leni! Wala naman si mama, pasok ka." She pulled her in.
"Ayun. Uhm. Tatanong ko lang sana kung...." She gulped before continuing. "...kinuha mo ba yung mga alahas?" She continued.
Tiffany paused for a moment finding it hard to cope. "Ha? Hindi, nandito pa si mama, bakit ko kukunin..."
Jusko, hindi niya kinuha.
"Leni...?" Tiffany started to sound serious. Leni felt like she was out of her mind again. It took her some time before she was able to speak.
"Leni, don't tell me-" Tiffany grabbed her hand and walked to her apartment to check on the box. Tiffany felt alarmed as she saw the messiness of the apartment. Leni pointed it on her cabinet. Tiffany opened the box and saw it was empty.
"Jusko, Leni... Hindi pwedeng mawala yon, Leni naman. Wag mo naman ako takutin ng ganito." Tiffany cried in anxiety.
Leni felt so guilty for losing it under her premise. "I'm so sorry, Tiffany! Nasa trabaho kase ako buong araw tapos pagbalik ko wala na siya. Sorry!" She apologized.
"Leni hindi pwedeng mawala yon, isang daang libo yon, Leni. Babayaran ko pa yon sa supplier ko, Leni naman!" She sounded so chaotic. "Alam mo kung ganon kahalaga saakin yon kaya nga pinagkatiwala ko sayo!"
"Sorry, Tiffany. Hindi ko naman alam na mananakaw yon..." She apologized harder.
"Leni, nagtiwala ako sayo. Sana humindi ka nalang nung tinanong kita kaso um-oo ka!" Tiffany cried and kneeled on the floor making her feel extremely bad. Leni felt so devastated as much as Tiffany. She kneeled down and comforted her.
"Gagawan ko ng paraan." Leni began. "Babayaran nalang kita." She continued gently easing Tiffany from hardly sobbing.
"Hindi ko alam kung pano pero... Babayaran kita." Her voice was cracking and it was terribly out of her desire. Despite that she didn't have plans of where to get the money to pay Tiffany, she promised she will to cope with the situation. She felt so weak but she had no choice. It's already gone.
Leni checked on her debit card's balance the next day.
Account Balance: P138,729.55
She sighed. The total amount she has to pay Tiffany was P109,700. It was all she had yet, she had no choice but to give it up to pay Tiffany.
Few days later, Tiffany's mother left her unit, Leni paid her right away. "Thank you, Leni. Napakabait mong kaibigan." Tiffany hugged her tightly. Amidst that she knew how much she needed the money, the manifestation of relief on Tiffany's face made Leni feel better.
At least natulungan ko siya...
Leni talked to the treasury of Natalia's school to request a consideration for her delayed payment of tuition fees. They gladly gave her spare time to work on earning some cash to pay, yet, the grace period is about to end and Leni still has no enough money to pay. She already took a few advances from her salary in Rocos and she couldn't think of any other ways to get money.
I can't put out all the money to pay for Natalia's tuition. If I do that, we wouldn't have money to buy for our foods, her allowance, the other bills.
Leni felt so troubled as she thought about all of it at work.
"Sabi po ng teacher ko, hindi daw po ako pwede mag-exam kung hindi pa nababayaran yung tuition fee ko bago magdeadline." Natalia informed her with a frowning face.
Leni patiently stood up and waited for Bongbong to finish talking to Daphne. He signed a cheque and handed it to him.
"That's two hundred thousand donation for my charity. Name it under Rocos strategic marketing department." He ordered her and asked her to leave. Leni was amazed with how generous he was in parting a huge amount for a charity. Suddenly, she recalled her desperate need of it and it lead her to an idea.
She handed him the draft folder and waited for him to command her what to do next. "You can go." He uttered making her slightly amused.
Walang sermon? Walang sigaw sigaw? Nakakapanibago naman yata.
She walked half towards the door before she had the courage to turn back to him.
"Sir?" She gulped. He looked at her and waited for her to talk. She paused for a moment, torn whether to continue or not.
Kailangan ko ng pera, kailangan ko ng pangtuition ni Natalia. What do I have to lose?
"Uhm..." She began. "Leni. I'm a very busy person. I don't have much time to waste for an 'uhm'" He stated.
Sabihin mo na! Go! Ito nalang yung chance mo!
Bongbong stood up and rolled his eyes as he felt irritated with her hangings. He grabbed her hand and lead her towards the door.
"Wait! Kailangan ko po ng tulong niyo." She began.
Kailangan ng tulong ko.
That statement sounded familiar to him. He paused for a while and looked at her for hints.
"What help?" He asked. "What kind of help?" He followed up.
"Financial?" She said shyly. "Pano kita matutulungan financially? Ano ako sugar daddy mo?" He snorted and freed her arm as he headed back to his seat.
"Baka po pwedeng private arrangements?" She asked before he was able to sit down. He smirked as he could feel where it was heading to.
"At bakit ko naman gagawin yon?" He replied coldly. Leni didn't know what to reply. She doesn't wanna manifest how she assumes about his interest towards her as she might be wrong.
"Please? Sir, kayo nalang yung pag-asa ko. Tinanong ko po yung HR for considerations kaso di po nila ako pinayagan e. Kailangan ko lang po kase talaga ng pera pang-tuition sa kapatid ko. Please sir?" She begged.
"Magkano?" He asked blankly.
"Eighty thousand?" She uttered painstakingly avoiding not to surprise him. He snickered. "I don't give out thousands for nothing." He replied and indirectly rejected her request. He turned back as he made up his mind about it.
She panicked. He was her only hope. "I'm free on Friday?" She felt so desperate. Bongbong didn't see it coming from her. He felt her desperation but he wanted her to keep going as it thrilled him. "I already have a scheduled session on Friday. If that's what you're talking about." He pretended and sat down on his chair.
"Thursday night?" She attempted. "Also taken." He retorted. She sighed in distress.
Walang wala na akong dignidad dito tapos ayaw pa niya tanggapin. Jusko naman.
"Kelan ba kayo free?!" She complained. "I told you..." He stood up and took a folder from the hanging shelf. "... I'm a very busy person. The only time I'm free is right now and you're actually wasting my time." He continued and got himself busy finding a specific folder for his reference with the drafts. Leni felt hopeless until she came up with an idea.
... I'm free right now...
His voice echoed in her ear.
"Pwede naman po sa stock room?" She hesitantly-hopefully suggested.
He paused for a moment and looked at the small spare room in his office filled with the old documents, folders and wooden table.
Itong babaeng 'to. This is gonna be a hot quickie.
He hardened his jaws and turned back to her. He grabbed her arm and dragged her to the small stock room making her a bit surprised.
He slammed and locked the door next to them. She stood up, stunned with his abrupt response to her suggestion.
After he closed the door, he pinned her hands up and glared at her. "Anong gusto mong gawin ko?!" He asked aggressively. "I... Uh... Kahit ano po...?" She stammered. He glanced at his watch.
Meeting in twenty minutes.
Pùcha bad timing. Anong magagawa ko dito in twenty minutes.
"Magkano ulit kailangan mo?" He asked. "Eighty thousand...?" She replied hesitantly. "Fifty. I don't have much time. I've got a meeting in twenty minutes." He negotiatied, she paused for a few seconds to take the offer in consideration.
Tumatakbo ang oras, bilis!
"Seventy?" She countered. "Sixty." She paused for a while again. "Pùcha. Fifty thousand no penètration!" He cursed, she was speechless. She felt uncomfortable accepting such deals.
"Uuhm..."
He lost patience. "Tumatakbo ang oras, ano ba?!" He complained. He proceeded without her verbal permission.
He made her hands rest on his shoulders as he grabbed her thighs up on his pelvis. She gasped. He pressed her back as he cleared the wooden table to make her sit comfortably at the top of it.
"You're gonna get fifty thousand and pleasure. Be grateful that I am this generous." He demanded making her clueless of what he was actually planning to do.
May jerjer ba na walang penetration?
He parted her legs and kneeled in front of her making her groin and his face on the same level. She finally had a hint of what he was about to do.
Oh my god.
He pulled down her panties and glanced at her core.
"Be grateful." He uttered once again before he started to bury his face in between her legs.
It felt surprising for Leni but she slowly sank into pleasure as he continued his business. "Oh." She suppressed herself as he began with the lips of her core.
He continued nibbling and licking her. Then, his tongue squirmed inside relishing her folds.
She inhaled with a moan. "Hhmmm..." She struggled to remain completely quiet.
"Uh...hmph.. W-wait, sir. Uh. Mmm." She stammered, he could hear the trembling of her voice due to pleasure. He buried his face harder and continued his unrelenting business making her extremely struggling.
She already came for about three times, he counted it. Her flesh was so soft, so neat and so sweet. Her groin was glabrous, her skin was so smooth as it rubs against his nose and cheeks. He just can't stop.
Leni was already holding her mouth close to avoid making any sound but it was too hard. She felt so embarrassed every time she moans.
Uy, di ako pwede umungol. Nakakahiya. Sarap na sarap ako pero hindi ko mapigilan, jusko ano ba tong pinasok ko.
She scolded herself at the back of her head as she deals with the pleasure his tongue delivers to her.
And the sixth time.
He withdrew himself from her core and moved up to her face — gazing at her recovering face.
"Okay ba?" He asked dirtily. Her eyes were enlarged with how close their faces were. "Po? Uhm, opo." She uttered uncomfortably. "Good."
He replied and placed a few kisses on her neck while gently cupping her breast. He picked up her panties and placed it back to her.
He looked at his wrist watch.
8 minutes before the meeting. He should prepare already. He pulled out a cheque from the drawer of the wooden table where she was sitting at and issued fifty thousand for her and signed it.
"There's your cheque." He tucked it on her chest.
"Thank you po." She uttered before he was able to leave the room.
He couldn't believe how docile she is. It's just so fascinating for him.
"Ikaw lang talaga yung babaeng nagpapasalamat sa mga ganito." He concealed his fascination with such comment.
He walked out of the room and left her alone.

Rap Daddy (6)
Episode 6: Rap Rap Rap
Tumblr media
It was a foggy early morning as Yongguk and the twins arrived to the studio. They were surprised to see they were there first. “Good morning” Yongguk greeted followed by the twins own greeting.
They were stopped from going to the center area by yellow police tape.
Tumblr media
Soon Bobby and Ji-Young arrived with confused looks on their faces as they saw Yongguk and the twins in front of them. “What’s going on” Bobby asked.
At that moment a staff member met them at the line and began to read the instructions from a card. “In order to gain entrance you must repeat this tongue twister two times without mistakes. For the kids there is no time or speed limit but all words must be pronounced clearly.”
He then pointed to another staff member who held a big cue card.  The twins instantly began reading it trying to get it processed through their brains first before letting it roll out of their mouths.
네가 그린 기린 그림은 못 그린 기린 그림이고 내가 그린 기린 그림은 잘 그린 기린 그림이다.
A/N: For those of you who would like to try it but don’t know Hangul. Here is the romanized and the English translation:
ne-ga geu-rin gi-rin geu-ri-meun mot geu-rin gi-rin geu-ri-mi-go nae-ga geu-rin gi-rin geu-ri-meun jal geu-rin gi-rin geu-ri-mi-da
The drawing of a giraffe that you drew is a poorly drawn drawing of a giraffe, and the drawing of a giraffe that I drew is a well-drawn drawing of a giraffe.
“For the rap daddies, there is a one-shot rule. You can only challenge once and if you fail you will have a penalty in the main game.”
Bobby and Yongguk’s eyes widened as the stakes had risen for them.
Ji-Young sighed as he ruffled his own hair in desperation. “I’m not good at repetition” he confessed to the camera.
Bobby followed his son and sighed as well. “I’m really bad with tongue twisters.”
After reading it several times Yong-Jin felt ready to challenge. “I’ll go first.” He kept his eyes on the cue card as he began to recite it. He swayed his head side to side to help him.
“Pass” the PD announced as Yong-Jin cleared the challenge with one try.
He went under the yellow tape and passed over to the other side. He sat down on the couch as he watched the rest continue practicing.
“I’ll go” Yong-Min began the tongue twister. It seemed fast but he stopped halfway. “Let me start again.” He was unsatisfied with his speed and decided he could do it faster. In a matter of seconds, he cleared it with an applause from his brother.
After the twins were gone Bobby and Yongguk looked at each other. “Would you like to go?” Yongguk asked.
Bobby shook his head refusing to go yet. “Oh no hyung you go ahead.”
“I only had one chance, I wasn’t ready to go yet” Bobby admitted with laughter.
Yongguk cleared his throat before starting. He began slowly making sure he got it right the first time on the second repetition of it he sped up feeling more confident and passed it.
“Oh” Yongguk held his hand against his chest. “It was so nerve-wracking. I didn’t want to fail after my kids did it so easily.”
Ji-Young decided to give it a try but as he was reciting it he messed up on the third giraffe. He tried another two times again failing at the third giraffe.
This prompted Yong-Jin and Yong-Min to go over to the younger boy. “Say giraffe” Yong-Min instructed.
“Giraffe” Ji-Young complied.
“Keep saying it” Yong-Jin prompted him.
When Ji-Young mispronounced it he stopped.
“Don’t stop, keep saying it” they encouraged him.
Ji-Young repeated the word giraffe until he noticed he was able to say the word faster and faster without messing up.
“You see? Repetition is key for pronunciation” they told him before going back to sit with their father.
On his next try, Ji-Young was able to clear it. He didn’t say it fast but he pronounced everything perfectly.
Ji-Young gave a slight smile as the producer asked how he felt after the twins gave him advice. “I was very thankful for the hyungs. They helped me a lot.”
Tumblr media
Mino and King entered greeting Bobby who still hadn’t made it over the yellow tape. “What’s going on today?” Mino asked him.
Bobby soon explained the rules making Mino laugh. “That’s crazy. Just one try?” He turned to the producer for confirmation “seriously?”
The PD nodded.
Tumblr media
Their attention turned to the door as Namjoon entered carrying Mona. She unwrapped one arm from around his neck and waved as she greeted everyone. “Hello” she repeated with a bright smile.
“What’s wrong?” Namjoon proceeded to lower her to the ground and help her fix her skirt. “We heard Mino from outside.”
“We have only one chance to recite the tongue twister or get a penalty” Bobby explained once again.
Namjoon took a look at the tongue twister and easily recited it as he read it for the first time. This left Bobby and Mino shocked.
“It’s that high IQ of his” Mino stated. “I bet you could have told him to say it backward in English and he would have gotten it.” He laughed at the idea.
“Pass” the producer announced letting Namjoon cross over the yellow tape but he didn’t go far before Mona called out to him.
“Wait for me Daddy.” She was confident she too could clear the challenge quickly.
“I use repetition in my verses.” Mona showed a page from her notebook to the camera. The words were written in different colors and sizes. “I have one notebook that only has ‘M’ word versus” she laughed before shrugging. “I don’t know why I did that.”
While Mona was preparing Bobby decided to finally give it a shot. He read through it quickly but stopped tongue-tied when he got to the third-to-last word. He grunted in disappointment before laughing. “I was so close.”
Bobby sighed after being asked his thoughts about failing the tongue twister. “I felt bad for letting down Ji-Young. I caused us to get a penalty.”
Bobby crossed the yellow tape and sat next to his son. As they sat both of them continued to practice the tongue twister. They laughed at each other every time they got tongue-tied. The loss didn’t seem to impact them at all.
“How did you feel when your dad failed the first game?”
“Nothing, it was really hard and I got it wrong too so it is understandable. If he had another chance he could have done it.”
Mino decided it was best to not think about it too much and just go for it. “I’ll challenge.”
King watched as his father’s sight was focused on the cue card.
Mino too failed the challenge his pronunciation at the end was slurred and was not accepted.
“I knew I would fail but it’s okay. That is not a talent it is a skill that has to be practiced.”
The producer was amused by his comment. “King mentioned in his initial interview that rapping is a talent, not a skill so he was born with it. Did you tell him this?”
“Yes and that’s why he thinks so highly of himself.” He laughed before turning a bit more serious. “Since he was born I have praised him for the things he does. When he started walking, talking, or even now when he brings home good test scores. My intention has always been to build up his confidence so that he can develop a thick skin. Teaching him that no one can look down on him if he is trying his best.” He looked down for a moment as he thought about the way King has grown. “But maybe I overdid it.”
The producer laughed loudly making the cameraman jump and move the camera.
“Sorry” she apologized for losing it.
King shook his head in disapproval after his father’s loss. “You can’t do it like that. You have to give it a beat.” He sat down on the ground making the cameraman lower down to film him. He then began tapping on the ground with his hands to create a beat.
As King created the beat Mona’s head bobbed to it.
He then started reciting the tongue twister. Line after line was cleared. In the middle, he stopped the beat and looked over at Mona.
Mona began reciting the tongue twister just as flawlessly as her father. Once she was done King continued the beat and recited the last line.
“Both pass” the producer announced.
“That was smart” Yongguk commented. “King knows how to use a beat.”
Mino’s face showed shock as he sat down for his interview. “He surprises me every day.”
Mona and King hugged each other. They were glad they had passed the challenge in one try. He raised the yellow tape allowing Mona to pass before himself.
“The kid has game” Bobby commented on King’s actions towards Mona.
Both Mona and King sat beside each other as they were asked the question. “Did you two plan to work together?”
“Yeah” Mona responded. “King Oppa was tapping like this.” She tapped her hand on her thigh and bobbed her head like before. “It made it easier to break down.”
“I was just trying to memorize it” King stated as if it was no big deal.”
“The theme for today is pronunciation and repetition. The game we have made up for today is called ‘Rap Rap Rap Me’, it is made to help with repetition.”
A staff member approached them with a stack of envelopes. He placed them on the table in front of them and went back behind the cameras.
“In those envelopes, there are words the staff picked. Kids will take turns choosing one and make a bar that repeats the word or phrase three times. On the back of the cards there is a number representing how many points the word is worth.”
Yongguk sighed as he heard points would be involved.
“When you heard about the points you seemed to sigh.”
Yongguk nodded, “Yong-Min and Yong-Jin have great teamwork but once they are put against each other they like to get competitive. That’s why I always thought it best to have them paired together for everything.”
“Only us?” Yong-Jin asked curious to know if his father would also be included in the challenge.
The producer nodded. “But that doesn’t mean the daddies will sit back and relax. Today we will introduce the objective views of a parent to a child. It’s hard for parents to criticize their children but if they are looking forward to a future in the industry it is something they have to get used to. That is why today you will be judging your own children. You must watch out for mispronounced words. One point will be deducted for every mistake.”
“Who do you think will have the hardest time?” The producer asked individually.
“Rap Mon” Mino responded before the interview switched to Bobby.
“Definitely Namjoon” Bobby also chose Namjoon instantly.
Yongguk didn’t have to think much either as he responded, “Namjoon.”
“Why do you think that?”
“I think in his eyes Mona can do no wrong. It might be hard for him to call out an error or for her to accept it. I know she has been criticized by classmates and overcame it but this is her father. It might shock her.”
“Starting from this side” the PD pointed to Yong-Jin who was sitting at the edge. “Please pick an envelope.”
Yong-Jin spread out the envelopes from the neat stack to randomize them. He picked one in the middle and sat back with it in his hands. He watched as his brother followed his actions than his dongsaengs.
All five kids sat with the envelope they had chosen in their hands.
“You may open them.”
They all quickly opened them pulling out a card.
“When it is your turn you will show us your word and present your bar.” The PD was handed a white tablet which she swiped her finger across to awaken. She proceeded to turn it towards them showing a list of the children’s names. “We have entered your names into this randomizer that will pick the order you go in today.” She hit the start button and the names began spinning. When they came to a stop Yong-Min’s name appeared larger than the rest indicating he had been chosen.
Yong-Min stood up to accept the microphone from the staff member that approached him. He stood off to the side where he was visible to the camera and all the children and fathers. He showed the card to the camera. “My word is rhythm.” He then flipped it to show that it was worth nine points.
This time instead of going at full speed like he usually did Yong-Min slowed down a bit to make sure his father could listen to how he pronounced every word.
Rhythm and rhyme all the time
My rhythm is best I must digress.
My brother’s rhythm is fine but not as good as mine.
They all clapped for him except Yong-Jin. He kept his eyes sharp as he followed his brother’s line of sight to their father waiting for his judgment.
“Yongguk-shi, what did you think?” the producer asked.
“Pronunciation was good, he didn’t make any mistakes there but I do want to say that it was rather short. I feel he could have done better.” Yongguk saw his son’s expression harden at his critique. He knew he was feeling disappointed but he had to be unbiased. “Eight out of nine points.”
The producer nodded accepting the evaluation before letting the tablet chose the next person. “Yong-Jin” the screen read.
Yong Jin stood up and showed the card with his word. “Mine is microphone and it is for ten points.” He put the card back in the envelope before grabbing the microphone off the stand.
Brace yourself, when my hands on the microphone, get ready cus your mind’s about to be blown.
My microphone spreads my voice like a weapon of mass destruction.
Nos2 listen to my instruction, can’t nobody spit faster than you, but when it comes to rhythm take a seat.
My microphone, my beat, my rhythm will leave you shattering your teeth.
After hearing Yong-Jin’s verse it was clear he and his brother were having a competition of their own.
Once everyone stopped clapping Yongguk had to give his second evaluation. “The composition and length was great but the pronunciation was not. You mispronounced three words but you knew that right?”
Yong-Jin nodded, indeed he knew. It was a problem for him many times.
“Did you think it was a fair evaluation?”
Yong-Jin nodded. “Dad is a pro. He did this a long time before me so he knows better than I do of what sounds good. But I will learn.”
As he smiled a caption appeared at the bottom. ‘We can’t wait to hear you.’
“Then your score is seven out of ten” Yongguk concluded.
Even if his brother had a lower score than he did Yong-Min’s face still showed discontent. As Yong-Jin sat beside him he held his hand out for a high five which Yong-Min gave him but only with a slight smile.
“What did you think of your father’s evaluation?”
Yong-Min bit his lip the entire time trying to stop himself from feeling hurt by what his father had said. “I didn’t like it.” He remained silent for a moment before continuing. “If I didn’t go first maybe I could have made a better verse.” He looked off to the side feeling discontent with himself before the PD offered her advice.
“Everyone has a weakness Yong-Min. You may lack when it comes to quick creativity but you make up for it in speed.” Seeing he wasn’t coming out of that dark place in his mind she called Yongguk into the interview room.
Yongguk sat beside Yong-Min and wrapped his arms around him. After a while, he pulled away to see he had softened a bit. “No one is perfect Yong-Min, especially at your age. You still have a lot of time to learn.”
Yong-Min nodded before hugging his father.
A caption appeared at the bottom as they hugged ‘Yong-Min Fighting!’
King showed his card to the camera and to the others. “Tattoo, it’s worth ten points.” He got the mic off of the stand and smirked as he got closer to his father.
This prompted a pre-performance clap from Bobby. “I think you will feature in this one too” he taunted Mino. His suspicions only grew as King gave a sly smirk.
Me and my Mama made plans,
a brand new tattoo designed by my own two hands.
A tattoo of my name, King,
but no tattoo of his name until she gets the gold ring.
King continued pointing at his father as he got standing ovations from Bobby and Namjoon.
Mino laid back into the couch laughing at yet again another blow given to him by his son.
“I wonder how many times King can keep dedicating his verses to Mino.” Namjoon was amazed that King had gone all this time including his father in all of them.
Once Mino was able to stop laughing he began his evaluation of King. “It was short but told a story. You didn’t make any pronunciation mistakes so your score is ten out of ten.”
“He did well” Namjoon commented of the young boy.
King smirked as he sat in front of the camera being asked what he thought of getting the perfect score. “Of course I would get it. I am the Rap King.”
The producer showed Ji-Young’s name on the tablet prompting him to show his card. “I got the word hard for 9 points.”
Bobby sat up as his usual smile faded. He was trying to get into a serious mood. He wanted to try and forget this was his son he was listening to and think objectively. He closed his eyes as he heard him begin in order to completely become unbiased.
All things are not hard.
Fully dressed in Hugo Boss, walking down the catwalk, posing as we cross,
Modeling is not hard.
Talking with rhyme, making a beat, timing our lines,
Raping is not hard.
When I put my mind to it I can do it all.
Ji-Young stood with a worried expression as he waited for his father’s judgment. He kept his hands clasped in front of him. Usually, he would be confident in this type of challenge. Freestyle rap like this was his forte but after having failed the tongue twister earlier his confidence had gone down.
Bobby kept a serious expression as he clapped. He wanted to keep himself professional as he delivered. “The delivery was good, there were no mistakes on that end. On the other hand, the composition was a bit strange so the score is eight out of ten.”
Ji-Young pulled his hat down over his eyes as he prepared to talk about his feelings after being evaluated by his father. “I’ve been judged before by YG, modeling agencies, and designers but never by my dad. It felt strange. I don’t know how to describe it.” He shrugged ending with a small laugh.
There was no need for the tablet anymore. There was only one person left.
Mona had been watching with worry as everyone went. She saw how Yong-Min, one of the oldest Oppas had become sullen after his turn. She wanted to hug him but was busy preparing her own verse.
It seemed the pressure of being judged had made her mind go blank. She never even thought to look in her notebook until Ji-Young’s turn had finished.Knowing she didn’t have any more time she decided to work with what she had.
Bobby, Yongguk, and Mino’s faces all became worried. This was the moment they were waiting for. They all wondered how Namjoon would evaluate his precious baby girl.
Namjoon watched his daughter through heart-shaped glassed every hour of every day. He himself admitted to being easily controlled by her charms.
“The other rap daddies picked you when I asked who they thought would have the hardest time evaluating their child.” The PD informed him to see his reaction.
Namjoon chuckled knowing it was true. He would have a hard time. “I never judge her, only love her.”
Mona pushed her hair back behind her ear as she showed her word. “My word is play” she flipped it seeing the point value for the first time. “It’s worth nine points.” She grabbed he microphone and sighed before starting.
Play time is here, play time is over
Don’t give me no damn dolls, that won’t work at all.
I rap to have fun, thinking of hooks, make up a rhyme
Don’t give me no barbie dolls that’s not my play time.
Play time is here, play time is over for this Rap Doll.
Mona bit her lip knowing she had mispronounced one of the words made her mad. She wanted to make her father say nothing was wrong with her verse but she messed up.
Yongguk sighed shaking his head. “I was closest to her so I could see. She knew she messed up her eyes were starting to get glossy.”
Namjoon opened his mouth to speak but didn’t know how to start. How did he tell his daughter that she had made a mistake when in his eyes she was flawless. He finally looked over at her and saw how she was looking him straight in the eyes.
He softened as he saw her big round eyes struggling to keep eye contact with him. “You know what you did.”
Mona nodded slightly as she bit down harder on her lip. It wasn’t really sadness she felt but disappointment.
“Your verse was good but you made a mistake. It was a careless mistake that you could easily fix next time by breaking down the verse differently. You get eight out of nine points.”
At the end of the evaluation, Mona walked past Namjoon and went behind the cameras. She couldn’t hold her tears any longer and didn’t want anyone to see her.
The producer’s voice could be heard as she talked to her. “What’s wrong?”
“I don’t want them to see me.” Mona barely breathed out her statement as she wiped away her tears. She didn’t want to seem like a crybaby so she decided to go behind the camera.
Namjoon quickly got up to go comfort his daughter. The camera followed him until he was out of camera shot. One cameraman then unmounted their camera and walked over to them.
Namjoon knelt in front of Mona who had already cleared her tears but not her pout. She looked downcast as she faced her father.
All the while the rest of the fathers felt bad for Namjoon.
The other kids looked over trying to catch a glimpse but couldn’t because of the bright studio lights.
“Is Mona okay?” King asked his father.
Mino nodded trying to assure King that she was fine.
The producer stepped back to let Namjoon talk to her.
He took hold of both her hands gaining her attention. Her eyes only looked over at him temporarily before returning back to looking at the ground. “Mona, Daddy loves you.”
She looked up at him wide-eyed as if asking ‘really?’
He then gave her a smile “te amo.” He kissed her forehead before earning a hug from her.
Mona had her arms wrapped tightly around him. “Even if I didn’t do perfect?”
Namjoon stood, now carrying Mona in his arms. “No one is perfect Mona. Everyone makes mistakes. Even if that happens to me you are always my perfect girl.” He lifted her head from his shoulder to get a look at her. “You did good baby girl.”
He walked back to the couch with Mona in his arms. There were no traces of her tears anywhere. She smiled as she was greeted by the smiling faces of her Oppas.
Namjoon set her down allowing King to be the first to wrap his arm around her shoulder. “Good job my rap doll” he whispered to her.
Namjoon and Mino still caught it making them chuckle.
“Just because she was sad I let it go.” Namjoon joked about being upset with King’s sudden claim over her.
Mino laughed before stopping long enough to comment. “I told you Namjoon is my In-Law.”
The kids were all excited as they traveled together in a buss. All five of them sat in the long back seat smiling and talking. The fathers sat in front of them by twos. Bobby and Mino on the left while Namjoon and Yongguk sat on the right.
They were heading to film the last part of the show. As they got closer to the location the Producer began to speak through the bus microphone. “Now I’m sure you are all hungry.”
The kids all shouted in agreement.
Even the rap daddies were cheering in excitement.
“We are going to have a meal now.”
They all cheered at the sound of free food. Bobby cheered louder “yeah, no cooking for us.” His comment made the others laugh.
“But there is one catch.” The producer’s statement caught their attention. They sat looking at her with worry.
“Remember the penalty I mentioned at the beginning for those who did not pass the tongue twister?”
Namjoon and Yongguk were relieved knowing it didn’t pertain to them. On the other hand, Bobby and Mino were starting to form ideas on what the penalty might be.
The PD let the tension build for a moment before announcing, “ the meal will be paid for by our very own rap daddies Bobby and Mino.” Everyone clapped with joy.
Namjoon sighed in relief.
“I was worried, I could have ended up making my daughter cry and paying for dinner today.”
When they entered the restaurant the customers immediately recognized all four rap daddies. Phones started flashing as they took pictures of them making their way through the restaurant with their kids.
As they ate the camera took notice of all five kids as they sat beside each other rather than their own parents. Mona of course still had her father on one side of her.
“How is it Mona?” Mino asked before offering a piece of meat to his son.
“Really good” she smiled.
Yongguk then offered her a piece of meat as well seeing her eat happily made him feel better. He had felt bad when he saw her running off.
“If Yong-Min took the evaluation hard I can only imagine how she must have felt. She is still young and being brought up as a single child with all her father’s love. It can be easy to become hurt by the person you love most.”
Bobby sighed, “girls are very different from boys. My daughter would have cried on the spot if I said something like that to her. Mona was strong enough to keep it in until she was off camera. She has a rapper’s will.”
After their meal, Bobby and Mino got up to pay and the rest waited outside. That is when the fans started asking for pictures with Yongguk and Namjoon.
Some of the fans there had been watching the show and became fans of the children as well. Yong-Min and Yong-Jin took pictures with many of the girls that asked them.
The younger kids stood together unsure of what they should be doing.
Bobby and Mino emerged from the restaurant causing the fans to scream with excitement. Soon Bobby and Ji-Young were posing like models for pictures with fans
As they interacted with the fans the PD pulled Yong-Min aside. It would be his turn to close out the show.
Yong-Min stood in front of the camera with a smile. His failure long forgotten now that he had been able to have fun with everyone.
“What did you think of today?”
“It was hard to do repetitive rap and tongue twisters. I felt good helping my dongsaeng Ji-Young with the tongue twister and felt bad for Mona when she got sad but in the end, we had fun here.”
“Did you learn something?”
Yong-Min nodded. “No one is perfect and even if we are criticized we can always do better.”
“Do you have an outro verse for us?”
Without responding Yong-Min began his verse.
Just one line or two of older brother wisdom.
To my dongsaengs on rap daddy who try their hardest every time.
Keep going and rap more. Soon enough our fandom will grow tenfold.
He waved goodbye before joining back with the others who were still tending to the small group of fans.
The show then began to roll the credits and ended with a shot of the kids going back into the van.
-end-
