i fuckin love this guy.

the basic rundown of cable: he’s charming, charismatic, loves spontaneity, and loves living life dangerously!! he’s all about doing what makes you happy and is a big advocate for self-love. they’ve got a high self-esteem and know their self-worth (he knows he’s hot shit and loves himself a lot!! ❤️) they also used to work at a brothel and are super open about their sexuality. this guy? horny. they love performing and pole dancing and wearing high heels. he’s also very affectionate and loves any and all kinds of physical contact. he’s also aromantic and pansexual!! he is platonic partners with my gf’s character, ophelia 💕

you ask me what i love about cable and it’s just. all of him LMAO.

i love cable sm because there’s a lot of myself in him (i made their character at a time when i was doing a lot of self-reflection). also he’s so open and honest and self-confident, i’m like— WOW, i aspire to be like you someday…

if i were to give a challenge i have while playing them… i love rp (it is my favorite part of dnd), but i fear i’m not the best at improv. i tend to get nervous during sessions for this campaign specifically. i think it’s that i’m so self-conscious about playing cable accurate to how i imagine him in my head that i’m just a bundle of nerves. i’m nervous at first, but eventually i get into a groove the longer the session goes on. though, these past few sessions especially, i’ve been pretty happy with how i’ve been playing him!! it delights me when my friends tell me they love cable as well ��

i also play leiana, my high elf druid!!

i realized i haven’t talked about her / showed her publicly on social media at all, so here she is. i don’t have as many things to say about her as i do cable, but i love her all the same!!

she was the first character i tried to give an accent to (irish), and while my irish accent is definitely not that good— it is what it is. this is just how she sounds like, and it’s good enough for me.

leiana is a cartographer and she loooooves bugs. loves bugs. which is very much not like me because i am, unfortunately, a little bug hater. but leiana has such a fascination with nature and bugs especially. she studies bugs and likes to pin them (she only pins dead ones she finds, she would never kill a bug herself) and she has a collection of pinned bugs!

she also has a pet tarantula named fenri, who can change colors! (he’s primarily pink and matches leiana’s hair.)

leiana is no stranger to grief and she fears dying. currently she is trying to distance herself from the party for Reasons 🥲

while i have a few more dnd characters, they are for upcoming campaigns that i have yet to play in!! cable and leiana are the two i am actively playing at the moment :3

maverick is also in my brain constantly these days, but unfortunately i cannot talk abt xem for reasons….one day i will gush abt them to my heart’s content…

What D&D Class are the Metal Maniacs?

Firstly, thank you for asking because after the game night post I low key was having brain rot about this lmao!!

Secondly, you are so right. The way that Tork was 100% the first one to be like “I’ll play a barbarian” and then everyone just jumps on the rage bandwagon until a very exasperated Monkey is like YOU CANT ALL BE BARBARIANS!!! That being said- here’s what I think everyone else would play as!

Taro Kitano - I feel like for obvious reasons Taro would want to play a Samurai Fighter. He already follows Bushidō in real life, so being able to play as a Samurai would be the easiest thing to get into character for him. After like two or three sessions, Taro actually gets absurdly attached to his character too. He’d never show it, but Monkey 100% has fudged a roll or two to keep his Samurai alive if Taro starts rolling bad.

Tork Maddox - Like I mentioned before, Tork claimed Barbarian first so he’s the only one who actually gets to play the class. Specifically, he would be a Path of the Giant Barbarian. He basically just makes his character a giant ass beating machine so that he can protect the rest of the party. An evil wizard can’t cast spells if he’s too busy choking down a knuckle sandwich.

Monkey McClurg - Monkey, despite being the forever DM of this group, would play a Battle Smith Artificer if he had the chance. I mean come on! He’s basically one already! Look at Sparky!!! He loves to tinker and that what artificers are all about baby! He settles for making his theoretical character an NPC in a shop the part passes through until he can actually play them.

Porkchop Riggs - Circle of the Shepherd Druid. It’s a great support class, AND HE GETS TO SHAPE SHIFT INTO A BEAR??? Uh yeah sign him up for that!!! It also gives him an excuse to have a pig companion. Plus, with Porkchop having the Speech of the Woods feat, it makes it way easier for Monkey to sneak exposition and plot hooks into the game play just by having Porkchop’s Druid overhear woodland creatures gossiping.

Mark Wylde - I see Mark as an Oath of Vengeance Paladin. Especially, if it’s before he makes amends with Kurt. Monkey would help him write him a ‘terrible and nondescript sibling character’ into his characters back story that he could have fictional beef with to work through some of that trauma. Cause that what D&D is all about folks. Catharsis. After him and Kurt start talking things out though, I think it might be fun for him to possibly develop into an Oath of Devotion Paladin - his devotion being to keep his party safe.

Sleep Token X D&D

An expansion of this post because je suis trés unhinged and I miss playing DnD. I'm not including homebrew content for simplicity sake, guiding myself through this website. Feel free to add or change as you will. I'll leave some links for each class specs in case you wanna read more, or aren't super familiar with it.

At first it would make sense for all of them to be different types of Warlocks or Sorcerers, with Sleep as their common patron. BUT I think that would be an easy cop-out, and I want to make things interesting. This is just my headcanon so yeah, don't mean, don't be weird. Let me know how you'd do it!!

(and if there are any DnD players who happen to come across this post and want to take inspiration on it, you're more than welcome to do so!)

Vessel

Race: Tiefling. A lot of room for inventiveness here, and you can change his appearance as you'd prefer. Maybe that's why he's always cloaked and masked. Maybe he gets even more disfigured every time he connects with Sleep. Class/Sub-Class: Warlock, The Great Old One (mysterious entity whose nature is utterly foreign to the fabric of reality). Obviously Sleep would be his patron. I like to think Vessel had an encounter with Sleep whilst not knowing who or what They were, and eventually became their servant. For the pacts, I had thought of Pact of the Tome, where the Book of Shadows would be his lyrics, but Pact of the Talisman is also great, because of the mask. @a-s-levynn had suggested The Fathomless for his sub-class, which is also AMAZING, especially if you want to lean into the whole tentacle/water horror aesthetic. Alternatively, Sorcerer, Divine Soul is an EXCELENT class for Vessel (actually, now that I'm editing this, I kinda prefer this one lmao). Read this and tell me this isn't exactly what Vessel is: Sometimes the spark of magic that fuels a sorcerer comes from a divine source that glimmers within the soul. Having such a blessed soul is a sign that your innate magic might come from a distant but powerful familial connection to a divine being. Perhaps your ancestor was an angel, transformed into a mortal and sent to fight in a god’s name. Or your birth might align with an ancient prophecy, marking you as a servant of the gods or a chosen vessel of divine magic. Yeah.

ii

Race: Lightfoot Halfling (yes I'm making him a hobbit, what about it?) Fire Genasi is also very apt. Class/Sub-Class: Druid, Circle of Wildfire (these druids bond with a primal spirit that harbors both destructive and creative power, allowing the druids to create controlled flames that burn away one thing but give life to another). This primal spirit, of course, would be Sleep. They are a bit of a mysterious entity. ii was the hardest to come up with. I knew I wanted him to be somehow connected to the land/elements, because I think that would be the best translation for his rhythmic prowess (drums wouldn't make much sense as a Bard). And that photo of him with the painted red fingertips reminds me of fire, so it seemed like a perfect fit. Some other alternatives: Druid, Circle of Dreams or Monk, Way of the Four Elements (monk would be SO good because of his silence, like LoZ Link, and the ability to harness his energy).

Race: Obviously a Dark Elf. Obsidian-black polished skin, pale blond hair, pale blue eyes, slim figure. Need I say more? Earth Genasi could also be a good option, due to his golden vein-like paint. Class/Sub-Class: Ranger, Fey Wanderer (a ranger who represents both the mortal and the fey realms. As you wander the multiverse, your joyful laughter brightens the hearts of the downtrodden, and your martial prowess strikes terror in your foes, for great is the mirth of the fey and dreadful is their fury.) I quite like this because the options of how you acquire the magic are endless, and can be traced to Sleep or even Vessel (maybe he granted them?). iii is our favourite chaotic boy, but he can be so intimidating at times, this one plays off his duality quite well. Plus you get Otherworldly Glamour similar to iv which makes sense. A cool alternative could be Sorcerer, Wild Magic, as it has a similar base to Vessel and it draws magic out of chaos.

Race: I thought about making him a Genasi or Half-Elf, but honestly I love him as a Human. I just love the idea that this human is sooo charming and talented, that even all these supernatural creatures can't help but be enthralled by him. Changeling or even Eladrin could also work. Class/Sub-Class: Bard, College of Glamour (these bards are so eloquent that a speech or song that one of them performs can cause captors to release the bard unharmed and can lull a furious dragon into complacency). I like that iv appears to be super low-key, but is actually insanely seductive (I see you mask pulling) and talented. So out of all of them, he was my obvious choice for a bard.

The Vesselettes

I think they could either be sort of like a greek chorus or muses but for Sleep, that appeared at key moments to help the party, or actual campaign members. Race: Aetherborn Class/Sub-Class: Clerics, Twilight Domain (The twilit transition from light into darkness often brings calm and even joy, as the day's labors end and the hours of rest begin. The darkness can also bring terrors, but the gods of twilight guard against the horrors of the night). It would be awesome to have them as healers and protectors of the party, who serve Sleep directly (if Sleep is evil, they could also be secret spies? To make sure the party does as Sleep intents). Or maybe they are protecting the party from Sleep (they can never sever their connection to them, but they will do everything they can to make sure the vessels won't go too far).

I'm not sure how they would all get together, but my [abridged] story would place them all as servants of this magical deity, called Sleep. Vessel was the first to encounter Them and lives as an actual, living vessel for them. They believe that Sleep, albeit mysterious, is a benevolent creature, who was wrongfully cast away from Their plane/stripped of their powers or divinity.

As the one closest to Sleep, Vessel can sense that something isn't quite right, but he's already so entangled and manipulated by them, that he doesn't even care.

So they fight all these people and creatures, believing they're doing something Good, but then it turns out that Sleep was evil all along? The people they have conquered and killed were actually good, trying to stop them from giving this awful, terrible being their power.

Sleep basically uses them to defeat their enemies and get back to whatever place or power they no longer have access to. Maybe the vessels turn their back on them? Maybe Vessel doesn't want to and they fight with each other? Or maybe they just keep serving Sleep?

Or, you know, Sleep could also be an actual helpful deity, and they are genuinely doing good by fighting in Their name. But maybe in the end Vessel can't let go of Them and drama ensues and everybody cries.

I don't know, this is just an idea. I spent WAY too much time researching for this, but it was fuuun. I love talking DnD.

Put a readmore just in case but I talk abt my hubbys character and two of my past dnd characters I plan to play in bg3!

Husband and I have rp'd a few small things w Theil and Brandy (bees character-a druid dwarf) and Brandy is like. They roll their eyes at Theils antics but will not stop them and WILL help with cleanup, or if Theil needs their help whooping ass they'll go Beast Mode (literally). Also in the modern au they're Theil and Shadowheart's roommate that Theil picked up off the streets while they were wildshaped as a house cat and when they turned back they were like. Uh. Can I still stay. And Shadowheart was like sure. Whatever. This is by far the least weird thing Theil has brought home.

I feel like Relas at first would be a bit off put by Theil due to their rather. Morally dubious nature. But then he realizes dear Helm no one ever taught this guy how to be a decent person. Someone help. Also. Since he follows both Helm and Torm, he'd deeply appreciate Theil's bravery and how set they are on defending those they care for, even if their methods aren't always the best. Also he'd be like. Please you can feed the vampire but PLEASE let me cure the side effects there is no reason for you to run around all woozy from bloodloss JUST LET ME HEAL THAT.

Nam (my gnome barbarian that think they're an orc) would fucking LOVE Theil lmao. I feel like the two would be rlly rlly good friends. They'd kick ass together and stay up all night talking about the others in the party. I feel Nam would feel so bad that Theil was never close to their parents, since they were so close to the orc that called herself their mother (and she. May as well be.) I think Nam would be the BIGGEST fan of Theil's music too like they'd tell everyone "YEAH I'm friends with Theil most awesome bard. Yeah. We fight together. I know Volo too. Bet you don't."

Personality:

I'm still working on this one so bear with me (hahaha i hate myself lmao)

I think she would be really quiet. Hiding in the background, she normally wouldn't speak unless she is spoken to. She tends to keep to herself

Although she is a natural flirt and naturally charming; part of her knows that it's a defense mechanism. She's like this because she HAD TO be. She had to survive her life in the underdark and that meant winning her mother political favors via seducing people. It was survival for her.

She's actually really klutzy. She always knocks something over. IDK man she's like either super unlucky or just a bull in a china shop.

Dead ass would just be walking and minding her own buisness and her shirt would get caught on a door and she would fall backwards and accidently set the place on fire

She's also kind of a day dreamer. Most people would see her and think about how elegant she looks sitting at the tavern table with her legs crossed nicely, thoughfully staring into her cup

In reality - she's thinking about eating chocolate in her wildshape as a wolf. Would she die or would she just have really bad diarrhea????

Her thoughts are literally your google search bar at 3 am.

When she finally gets comfortable around people, she is a gem to be around: She's pretty funny + a mess.

Walking chaos honestly

Favorite phrases: "Why the fuck are you the way that you are?" "For what reason???" "It was an accident I swear" "You have 2 braincells"

She's not as serious as her father; but she did spend most of her time with Mol and Arabella who are both pretty mischevious and witty

Now once she has a mission or job to do it's a whole different story: Home girl goes 0 to 100 real quick

She uses wild shape to her full advantage

If she's getting chased on rooftop she'll just jump off and change into a crow in mid air

She'll also wildshape into a wolf and run at you at full speed only to change her self back right as she stabs you

Druid Subclass:

I'm still looking into this, but I think I would make her either Circle of Dreams or Circle of Wildfire.

I can see circle of dreams because she would be good aligned. And it's easy to see her playing with Pixies in the underdark as a child.

HOWEVER

Circle of Wildfire would make more sense because again this girl is just walking chaos. Like I said in previous posts she sees natures balance as chaos itself. What is normal to the spider is chaos to the fly. So Circle of Wildfire would make so much sense for her.

Again I am working on it but let me know what you think ❤️

As someone who is also consumed by BG3, I have absolutely no judgements here. In fact, I’m quite eager to hear about all those little brain worms in your head.

LASDHASLKFHSHFSKHFSHFSFJSKDKfh OKAY AND I'M SORRY IF I TOTALLY JUST DUMP SOME IDEAS/INFOS ABOUT MY CHARACTERS.

So one of the brain worms I was having, whilst trying to do research on whether it has significant meaning among the Tieflings themselves, is how my Tiefling bard Nelia lacks in having prominent horns. Essentially, she just has a really scaley base on her head (which I found very similar in pattern to face 2 Au Ra for FFXIV!) that I'm thinking that maybe she filed them down herself so that she's treated with less hostility for just being a Tiefling. My brainworm idea for her is that she left the Nine Hells and just simply wants to use music to make people smile. I also want Nelia to smooch somebody and I have no idea whomst.

I debated on making an alternate campaign for a male character--my initial campaign lead, Rieta's younger brother. I don't have a name for him yet, but canonically (outside of BG3), he hates his older sister and has every intense need to end her life. I don't know how he'd more or less fit with BG3, but I think he'd be more inclined to helping other Tieflings in the game if anything.

I also have ideas for my human druid, Ava! Ava belongs to the Circle of the Moon and can prefers to transform into a wolf. She's pretty jovial in nature and can definitely talk druid-to-druid if necessary in her group. I have ideas of her going outside of her Circle to see the rest of the realm. To become more worldly, so to speak.

Rieta is my main girl. I was playing regular DnD with her with my boyfriend and in her canon, she's in love with a Dragonborn. Since I can't romance another person's character in BG3 (I cry), her solo campaign has her trying to romance our favorite vampire. In a multiplayer campaign, with the bf ofc, she's with her favorite Dragonborn. Rieta's been changed to fighter class right now becauseI need to tank some damage in the game and having two rogues is really fucking me up lmao. Also Rieta's a bit of an asshole. Not entirely. But a bit.

There's just so much in BG3 that I have yet to explore and just build and I'm just...like, I haven't been this excited about a game since FFXIV, and I'm suffering burnout from it (still love FFXIV, mind you. But I had zero motivation to play it). Playing BG3 and actually enjoying it has been such a breath of fresh air.

since I'm stuck during a long bus ride you get to hear my long long rambles about my dnd ocs!! (They're the ocs i think about constantly because they're the ones i get to Play With more lol)

They're all from different campaigns I've played. I'll give you quick info and thoughts about them in chronological order (aka, which one did i create first)

Michi Haasi

- fun fact his name is literally an endearment term for a cat in spanish (something like "little critter")

- which makes sense since he's half tabaxi, aka literally a cat boy. Full anime cat boy! He's a rogue that was trained as a spy assassin from a tender age because his parents got murdered in an unjust massacre carried out by a random noble lord. Now left to care for his little sister and brother, he took on a life of crime with high risk but high reward.

- since he specialized in being part of political conflicts from the shadows, he knew it would make him enemies that would put his siblings in danger. So he left them in an orphanage and cut all possible ties with them. He cares for them deeply though and sends all the money he can to the orphanage so that his siblings may be cared for properly.

- it feels weird not to mention it even though it has never come up in the story and i doubt it ever will, but Michi is a trans boy :3

- outside of the role, there was another player in my table that kept pushing for his character (a hobbit druid girl) to have a hardcore crush on Michi and i didn't feel comfortable with that so uh now my experience rping Michi has been soured a bit. Like yes i do love him as one of my creations but if i never play as him again i will not feel too bad about it (which is good bcus the DM got too busy with his own life so uhhh i guess we'll never play again!)

Ishana Aavrih

- My sweet tiefling paladin girl ♡ the joke i had is that she's literally just a nun with a sword. She's a tall and strong looking blue tiefling woman with fiery red hair. A devout follower of Fantasy Jesus (Ilmater) and her core beliefs were that anyone can be redeemed, anyone deserves a second chance, and that her duty was to protect other's from harm.

- i wanted her to be a pacifist but uhm since that campaign was heavy on the combat she did indeed kill many people. IN HER DEFENSE i did make her ask before the killing blows if they were willing to give up their life of Evil Deeds. No one ever did lmao

- her backstory never came up but: in this setting tieflings are loathed as an "inherently evil" race so Ishana grew up in a convent of a group of tieflings which main ideology was to "repent for the sins of their race". She was an orphan there so she was raised on these beliefs which marked her ideology forever. We love catholic guilt.

And to make it more tragic, she had a best friend growing up with her too in that convent and she loved her a lot, but her friend was more rebellious and mischievous (not bcus she was evil but bcus teens are just like that!). Anyway her friend gets killed to make an example out of her after a Nebulous Incident (aka i never worked out the details here ahdjjdjd) and Ishana is left heartbroken. It does lead her to escape and later on find comfort in the teachings of Ilmater because of the ideology of "everyone deserves a second chance" (since her friend deserved a second chance!)

- anyway in the campaign we had to stop cultists from bringing the apocalypse and one of the head Priestesses named Vannifer wanted help in stopping the apocalypse (because she was basically a slave to the Evil God trying to bring the apocalypse and she wanted to be free).

Vannifer was also a tiefling with a tragic backstory so when Ishana heard her tale and plea she immediately decided she wanted to help her no matter what! It became her life duty to try and free Vannifer from her chains so that she may be happy.

The rest of my party was pretty murder happy so even they wanted to kill Vannifer on several occasions so it became a running joke that only Ishana saw Vannifer as an ally (and she was!!! Like literally she's a NPC meant to help u!!! Why would u kill her!!!!)

Alongside this, in one of the cursed temples my party freed a group of Kenkus (bird people) and one of them was a small orphan crow boy and he immediately got attached to Ishana (and i became attached as well!!!!!!!!!!!) So Ishana adopted him as her son. His name was Purulento (pretty sad name in spanish bcus it's something akin to "infected wound"). Anyway i love him so much and he's my little son boy. My little baby. My sweet little boy. He became a cleric mostly so we could deploy him if any of our players missed a session so Purulento could fill that space in combat.

At the end of the campaign, Ishana realized she wanted to give up the sword and go live with her son and Vannifer in a cabin in the woods. So yeah she basically got her happy lesbian ending and sobs im so happy. BCUS PURULENTO HAS 2 MOMS AND GETS TO GROW UP IN THE HAPPY HOME HIS 2 MOMS DIDN'T GET TO HAVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! SOBS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Eshuu Teevan

Ohhhh boy oh boy oh sweet jelly goddamn crackers HOW TO START WITH ESHUU MY DEEPLY BELOVED!!!!!! He lives rent free in my head even if i have played with him like maximum 7 sessions. Gonna try to TL;DR him bcus if not we will be here all DAY and maybe it's better if i show u the 40 powerpoint presentation i have on him later

- he's a satyr warlock! His patron is Caiphon, an old god and distant star. Akin to a lovecraft horror. Eshuu has a HORRIBLY debilitating Ego so when this elder god came to him in a dream and promised him the secrets of godhood it was all over.

- he's a scholar that loves nature, but most of all fungi! He's fascinated by the idea of Rot As An Extension of Life. In a better timeline he's some sort of druid ♡ we're not in that timeline ♡

- to understand what's wrong with him u gotta know that he lives in a world where Gods walk among them and each year the world celebrates "A Harvest" which is kinda like uhhh the hunger games but the prize is that the winners get to Ascend To The Heavens.

Eshuu being part of the Fey knows that the gods are capricious and not to be venerated. But his best friend Jakobi (an elf) is a devout believer who's purpose in life is to win the Harvest and ascend (as his people have trained him for). Knowing that his most likely fate is death, Eshuu tries to discourage Jakobi from making this his Life Goal but they fight and break up their friendship and something inside Eshuu snaps that makes him want to take over the gods and destroy them ♡ because he could do so much better ♡

- anyway Eshuu is my babygirl and i love him so goddamn much. His favorite spell is acid splash. He thinks he's owed everything. He's obsessed with one (1) guy that didn't let him have the last word. I could fix him but whatever is wrong with him is funnier ♡ He's doomed to go mad with eldritch knowledge and I'm crossing my fingers Jakobi is the one to kill him ♡

Cyril Nightclaw

- my most recent character! I love him lots! He's inside a horror campaign with vampires!!! Aaah!!!

- he's a dark elf (i forgot the term but they're the ones with Advanced Darkness) and he's sensitive to sunlight. He's a cleric of the grave! He dresses like a plague doctor!! He's a devout follower of Anubis!!! He's literally part of a pyramid scheme!!! This adventure is one of the first times he's been allowed outside of the temples!!!!! He's a hoot i love him.

- i say he's a hoot but mostly because i think he's incredibly endearing. He's stoic, genuine, and blunt. Party says he has autistic swag and i am inclined to agree. Perhaps even make canon.

- his one goal is to Maintain the Balance between life and death, which means that any time he sees an Undead Creature he wants and needs to destroy them on sight. This is made much more difficult because we have a sorcerer in our party that likes necromancy and he likes to bring walking cadavers around a lot. Such is life.

- in the campaign we are tasked with protecting this one lady named Irina bcus the Dracula controlling the region has targeted her as his Bride To Be. Cyril, being so new to the outside world, fell in love with Irina because she's the first pretty lady he's ever seen in his life. So you can see how this further motivates him to destroy The Goddamn Dracula Final Boss That Keeps Showing Up And Trying To Kill Us.

- he has a prosthetic leg because his parents tried to use him as a human sacrifice as a baby but the ritual failed (it did take his leg though). He was left abandoned in the steps of a temple of Anubis during a storm and he drowned. But Anubis revived him so that he may serve him. We love a guy that died once but got better ♡

Lol my very first D&D character was a Tiefling druid. The queer campfire girl in me needed to be let loose on Faerûn. It also makes for some really cool storytelling opportunities during the BG3 emerald grove quest line

I think mine was a halfling sorceress that ended up falling for a bar maid at the first tavern we visited. My current one is chaotic pansexual and loves her wife very much. I don't think I've ever played a druid in actual DnD but it's been on my to-do list for a long time.

Honestly, it's so so cool that they took agency and stretched it to the max in this game. There are personalized options for everything. Drow being allowed into the Goblin camp with no fuss, druids being acknowledged in the grove and by the animals, tieflings sharing a kinship with the other tieflings hiding there, they just really nailed it all. You can do things like tell Lae'zel to fuck off if you're certain races because she's made it clear that she's an elitist and you've had enough of her shit.

Basically, you can create a character and really feel like they're a part of the world with their own biases and allegiances and thoughts on things.

Imagine if you could make a generic character a Baneite lmao watch the chaos unfold.

Billy is a secret pop music fan, he hides it because he has to keep up his little bad boy persona

Stu loves all music. If it sounds good he’s in love with it

Stu get’s the worst possible songs stuck in his head and he always sings it until the rest of the group get’s it stuck in their heads as well, they literally hate him for it

Randy and Stu are actually pretty close. Obviously not to the extent Billy and Stu are, but they’ll hang out without the others and have a really good time 

Sidney and Tatum are girlfriends I don’t need to explain further

There was definitely an orgy between them all, have fun arguing amongst yourselves about that

In modern day, Billy and Stu would be pretty famous on tik tok for being hot 

Randy would have more followers than the both of them because he’s that nerdy kind of cute and he’d eat up the soft boy aesthetic

Tatum would have a gaming and makeup youtube channel and she’d get pretty big

She would stream and then lowkey dox people who were sexist to her LMFAO

Sidney would get famous for being a hottie (can you tell I have Sidney brainrot atm)

Tatum is a cat person

The group when on vacation together once to an amusement park and everyone but Billy had fun

Billy was annoyed about the lines and the amount of kids LMFAO

Randy and Sidney are gods at the carnival games they always have set up, even the ones that are rigged

Stu takes it upon himself to win everyone at least one prize and will get really angry if he can’t

Sidney will loosen up as the games goes on and will make funnier decisions/get into the roleplay

He wants to have this dark backstory and everything

Randy has a grand old time and after the campaign (Tate was the dm) he and Tatum go join another group to play

They’re also besties idc they have a very natural brother/sister relationship and they’re so funny

Sidney is the queen of dirty jokes 

Like, more than Stu or Tatum, she’s constantly making your mom jokes

And she will absolutely pull the ‘my moms dead’ card to get out of doing something/to make the others feel bad

Like in an alternate universe where Billy and Stu didn’t kill her mom, they’d say something to her and she’d go “my mom died and you said that??? :(“

She has made Stu uncomfortable on numerous occasions and finds it just as funny each time

Tatum would learn how to do acrylic nails and be pretty good at it, people from school would go to her for them

Randy uses post it notes to keep track of stuff and they’re color coded

So all of his shit at home is covered in sticky notes 

He also has neat handwriting

Lucifer

Look, okay, Lucifer is like,,, a really boring old man, ok

So honestly??? He'd probably make some like really boring wizard or warlock or sumn and it'd look and sound and act exactly like him

Man doesn't have an ounce of creativity unless it involves making people miserable.

His character would be lawful evil, definitely, bc Lucifer, himself is.

As for race, Lucifer's a basic bitch so it'd probably be like an elf or a human.

And, honestly, he'd probably be a villain. Jus' sayin'.

Mammon

Would absolutely be that bitch to make a fucking idealized self-insert and you can't change my mind.

It would definitely be a Gary Stu I mean come on

And he'd probably make it like a rogue or a thief to make himself seem cool.

He'd probably be somewhere between chaotic good and lawful neutral

He'd probably pick something interesting, like a changeling, or a shifter, or maybe even a genasi

He would probably be the more hesitant to play tbh

So Kana and Patience (Patsy for short) are my newest OCs im so sorry to say they are dmmd OCs

so to preface, i have my own version of the dmmd universe where my OCs exist, several characters are trans and theres less questionable stuff n im sorry if this doesnt make sense if ur not familiar with the game. anyways...

Kana is a young bi trans woman who wound up in prison (before she fully cracked her egg) because she was addicted to this in universe thing called rhyme (its not important) but anyway she became part of Mink's gang after he busted them out of prison and basically was fuck buddies with her boss for a bit before he disappeared. After Mink's main route she becomes Aoba's bestie bcs Mink basically told her to watch over him.

She likes weed and dresses quite gothy/ emo. She works in a shop called deadbeats which is a second hand music store.

I gotta draw her more but... here she is with her bearded dragon

Havent drawn Patsy yet but she's a young black girl with purple hair, tends to dress quite bright. She's a jenga champion and /will/ cheat at monopoly. in my universe she lets aoba stay with her while he's in america looking for Mink. She's cool and bisexual and her dream is to travel around south america with her girlfriend one day.

Halimone, Rosetta, Cinnamon and kiiinda by extension Astrid are all Dungeons and dragons characters. Astrid was originally an MCU Asgard OC I made when I was like 14. They're not as developed but hey.

Hal is a gorgon who lives in the woods and wouldnt hurt a fly (think I'll make her a druid class or something). Her twists are snakes.

Rosetta (inspired by sister rosetta tharpe) is an archfey who escaped her home and travels around playing guitar for money as a bard.

Cinnamon was my first DnD OC and they are a little red tiefling magician. I don't have a solid story for them yet but they were a magicians apprentice until their tutor disappeared. (They're kind of a self insert)

I haven't drawn Astrid in years and my old art of her is bad but originally she was one of Thor's warrior friends. She has long bright red rapunzel- like hair that can go on fire, tends to wear it in viking braids. I think I'll repurpose her as an Aasimar Paladin/ barbairan when i end up playing another campaign.

I also have another OC called Eliza from the same universe which was literally just my 14 y/o self insert but I wanna repurpose her too.

And finally Vincent (vince for short). Bisexual he/they. Is a vampire the masquerade OC. He got turned at the age of 26 after a horrific biking accident where he was run over and almost died, it was the 80s so he's kind of a boomer when it comes to tech sometimes. He's in clan Brujah and likes robbing shit from rich ppls houses and then drinks their blood while they're asleep. He also helps out at night soup kitchens when he can, he's good.

So, my favorite DnD games aren't any of the campaigns I ran, mostly because those only lasted 3 sessions at most so our playing groups, unfortunately, didn't get much of a chance to explore and flesh them out. (I seem to have a knack for starting campaigns right before everyone's schedules change :/)

My group hasn't been active in a long time, conflicting work schedules and other responsibilities made it pretty well impossible to schedule regular games, which makes me sad :(

I'm going to put this under a read more since the answer got away from me a bit.

I think my favorite campaign is still the longest one we played, though it's been so long the details are fuzzy now. We started it all the way back before I started writing, (My dnd group has been together for a long time) and it ran for about 2 years, even though we never finished it due to a character death depressing everyone but that character's player to the point we couldn't play it anymore ^^' It was a homebrew campaign, so the DM had made the world up himself.

My character was Drusila, a depressed elven druid whose initial response to every major challenge was 'We're going to die, we are definitely going to die this time, you crazy peole are going to get killed.' She wasn't elegant, she wasn't sweet, but she didn't give up, even when it really looked like the party would die. She was only my third DnD character ever, and I've been thinking about working her into The Shackles of Time for nostalgia's sake. Possibly as a member of The Dawn Isle Guild.

The other characters were a pair of elf twins, one was crazy and loved shiny things and starting trouble with Drusila and the dwarf in the party. He was the one that got killed by a sea monster. The other twin elf was his sister, the scout, unlucky archer, and unhappy mom-friend of the chaotic team. W2hile the dwarf was a party-animal who loved ale, pressing random switches and buttons, and playing with things he shouldn't. He became a recurring NPC in several of the campaigns that same DM ran later as a running joke.

It was a pretty wild party with very fun, chaotic found family dynamics. Even though they all annoyed the pudding out of each other on a regular basis, they never left each other behind.

The world itself was in the middle of a massive war. I think I remember the DM saying it was inspired by The Lords of the Rings, because our main enemies were orcs and dark wizards. There was even a cave troll in one of the sessions ^^ It had it's own flavor, though. We definitely weren't in middle earth. There were jungles, and lost islands, a country that was similar but the opposite of our homeland, and a lot more faction-related world building than world lore. The monsters were more varied too, seeing as our DM liked to flip through the manual and go 'oh, they'll hate this. Let's do it.' lmao XD

And I think there'll always be echoes of that world in my writing, if only in the fact that I'm writing at all. It's the campaign that made me fall in love with telling stories. By the time it ended, I was starting poetry. When we went a long time without a new campaign to take it's place, I turned to prose. In a way, you can say Drusila was the start for the characters you love now. Her fear of death, lust for revenge, petty arguments with her teammates, and knack for accidentally getting herself into more trouble that she was trying to get out of was the start of me wanting to build more adventurers. I had fun with the two who came before her, but she's the first DnD character of mine whose name I remember.

That's the big standout campaign to me, though we played lots of others too, but I think explaining them all might turn into a novel all on it's own lol.

OH WELL IT'S ME + ALSO MY DICE HATE(/love) ME SO YOU KNOW THEYRE GETTING WHUMPED CONSTANTLY LMAO

there have certainly been some Events Unfolding so those are under the cut, casey since youre in our campaign now NO PEEKING

fair warning this is .... long ..... you have asked me to talk about my dnd character and you simply CANNOT stop the floodwaters now. enter at your own risk

okay so basically the first arc of the campaign kind of kicked off with them getting a vision from their goddess (the grain goddess/goddess of agriculture) saying that she was trapped in a fey gate and that they needed to come rescue her

so erley immediately Rallied The Posse and set off to do that. they NUMEROUS times tried to pray to her, commune with her, basically just get ANY sort of communication or guidance from her, but the dice like to tell their story so i literally never got above an 11 (paladin with only +2 to religion my beloved) and they never heard from her, which was making them. pretty nervous. when it seemed like everyone else was able to talk to their gods just fine

well we eventually figured out that there was a huge gathering of fey in the woods (me: this might be too big for us to fight. what if its like 30 fey? / my dm, glancing at his notes where he has 2000 fey written down: (: ) and basically the fey like. had captured and were trying to kill what was left of the pantheon so they could bring back gaia as the One True God

we found all this out because it turned out several members of the party had been lying about how much they knew of the fey and had personal connections to the fey they'd kept hidden. and erley, who is ALSO HIDING A LOT from the party like. immediately went on the offense and was just generally very unhappy about this

there had been this fey merchant who kept popping up wherever we were trying to sell us magic weapons that seemed tied to us specifically. erley was always VERY suspicious of her and did everything in their power to stop the others from buying her weapons (which we literally had to buy with -5 to a skill point, not money, v sus) to mixed results. but basically when we got to the fey gathering (we called it gaiapalooza) erley rolled a 1 on their survival check to get through the magic field and like. got teleported to her. and they really wanted information from her so they basically were like LEORA I DONT KNOW WHO TO TRUST I THINK MY PARTY HAS BEEN LYING TO ME, CAN YOU TELL ME ANYTHING ABOUT THEM CAN YOU SEE US WHEN YOURE NOT THERE? and basically pretended to need a therapy session in order to milk her for information lmao. she also seemed like. REALLY interested in erley and i was also very nervous about that

and i was RIGHT to be suspicious of her because we found out she WAS ACTUALLY THE BIG BAD and we had to fight her in the arc finale. and several of our party members had rl stuff and were not there, and in game our druid was away casting an 8 hour long spell to try and stop the palooza ceremony, so our party was SUPER nerfed and also as soon as erley realized it WAS actually leora who was behind all of it and she WAS trying to hurt them with those weapons (the weapons were tethers to the gods to be able to kill them basically), they got .... a little angry

and my party found out after irl a year of playing these characters that erley's first level is barbarian :))

so erley raged and did frankly a staggering amount of damage in this fight, and also only stayed up because of rage because they took a LOT of hits. but also. they dont rage FOR A REASON so it sort of took them over and when leora dropped, one of the other pcs ran over to stabilize her as she was making death saves and erley :) maybe :) drove a spear through her heart and killed her :)

and her body immediately just like. overgrew with plants and vines and flowers and basically wrapped the spear in a bed of plants and it was very cinematic and cool

(we have since found out that leora was like. actually an aspect of gaia so. that is. interesting)

of course then erley popped out of rage and was like FUCK this is why i dont do this, i went too far, it always goes too far, THIS is why im ashamed of this, and just got very emo boi about it. so they used their last spell slot to cast restoration on the space they had fought in and reached out to their goddess, having just saved her and the rest of the pantheon like she had asked them to

and i rolled a nat 1!!!

(the dm was like "you have committed this violent act, you feel so low and so bad and in need of guidance, and reach out to your goddess. and the absolute lack of a response just makes you feel empty inside" and i was like :) oh :) okay cool :) you love to see that with your paladins huh)

at this point the druid came back in and, instead of erley like. examining any of their own shit immediately lashed out at her and was like "why did you lie to me about the fey, why did you lie about why you were here, why ARE you here because i realize now it wasnt to help me"

and at that point ONE OF THE FEY QUEENS WALKED IN and the druid was like "... mother ..." and we were all :O

so it turns out the fey queen is her birth mom but had like? kidnapped one of the children of her firbolg tribe and was holding her hostage and the druid was on a quest to find her and bring her back

so erley :) felt :) even more bad about that :) and very shamedly pledged their help to her, and basically was like "as long as youre on this noble quest i will follow you if you'll have me"

so we're on our second arc now, which is traveling across the country to go meet the fey queen and get this kid back. as we were traveling my dm had me roll religion and a luck check and i got a 21 ON RELIGION FOR THE FIRST TIME EVER and a 6 luck. and he was like "you dont usually dream, but you have a nightmare. you know this nightmare was given to you, it was divinely inspired, but you dont know who sent it" and it was just erley killing leora over and over and over again. so they were like. well fuck

(my dm also messaged me privately and we talked and he was like. yeah you can get rid of your oath of devotion and change it to oath of the ancients, i am not telling you or erley why the subclass has changed and you also might get nerfed later. also level up barbarian for the next fight)

so erley was. feeling PRETTY DANG BAD and very guilty and stressed and all that. they did also realize their barbarian side was getting stronger which, considering their backstory is all tragic barbarian shit they were NOT happy about. i was fully prepared to have them be more ostracized from the party and go into full angst mode, but then the druid actually like. pulled them aside and explained why she had hidden information from them, and had a very sweet conversation with them and held their hand and it was VERY touching (she also had the baller line "you think your goddess can hear you and she's not answering. but maybe you're talking in a whisper and she needs to hear you scream")

we had another fight (we're level 7 and my dm told us after it was a cr 32 fight like. dude??? what the fuck?????) and once again erley didnt go down only because of rage

THEY ALSO UNINTENTIONALLY CAST MISTY STEP (which is an ancients spell they didnt have before) and were like WELL NO TIME TO UNPACK WHAT THAT WAS RIGHT NOW, HAVE TO NOT DIE

after the battle was over i asked to roll a check to figure out why i had access to that spell and got :) yeah you guessed it :) another nat 1 :) so erley has literally no idea how they cast that or what it could mean. we just had a new pc introduced who is a sorcerer so erley is definitely going to talk to her and see if she knows anything. because they are FULLY IN THE DARK about their subclass change or what that means in game

we're also (because of the fucking cr 32 fight) going to be leveling up again soon, and babey you KNOW im leveling barbarian. after rage kept me up and then rolling another nat 1 religion check, and also me the player not knowing whats up with their goddess/magic, i simply cant level paladin rn. so im BETWEEN A FEW SUBCLASS OPTIONS and ive been thinking them over but i think it really depends how the next few games go

my FULL ANGST option was to make them level into zealot barbarian like their awful dad, but i thought that made the least sense in universe rn

secondary angst option is to level into berserker, which i think fits pretty closely with how i've been roleplaying the rage so far. trading off an extra attack for a level of exhaustion fits pretty closely. also whump central

the NICE option is to have them be a totem warrior barbarian, and have both their paladin steed and their totem be a bull :) (they are a cowboi after all) i think thats the closest i can marry their two classes and potentially have some healthy growth for them, let them see that the rage doesnt HAVE to be a bad thing, that being a barbarian isnt something they HAVE to be ashamed of. reskinning the bear totem would give them resistance to all damage but psychic while raging, and im planning on taking the tough feat, so theyd pretty much be ... an unstoppable tank. plus i can still divine smite while in rage so theyd be VERY powerful
