Oooh, The Furnaced!Macaque AU be looking good. So many angst options!
(At least Buddha was nice enough to make the urn with the FFM top)
Spideys Brain: <Ey, let’s make this angstier.>
“What, Mac actually being dead?”
<Nope! Even better!SWK and Mac were reduced to ashes, yeah? What if they were really close in there, so the ash piles were actually one pile?>
“Go on…”
<SWK regenerating from the ashes…he also grabbed onto Mac’s ashes – I mean, it was probs reactionary, like, starting as soon as he dissolved into ash…right on top of Mac’s. Or Mac dissolved into ashes while on top of him, whichever floats the boat…>
“Wait, you mean, like Mac being like an ashy symbiote inside SWKs body that comes out. Would be, him breathing out smoke and, whoa, here’s Macky!”
<Cool idea, not quite. Think Steven Universe Gems.>
“So, they like fused. Can they unfuse?”
<Nope! Loss of self and identity crisis up the wazoo!>
So yeah…Lao Tzu cracking that bad boy open to see what’s up and this unholy combination of both SWK and LEM comes out screaming and hitting – confused, gotta be in a lot of pain, freaking the fuck out in general. Heaven shrieks in terror as this abomination continues the rampage that leaves nearly all of Heaven in shambles – can’t believe they are wishing for SWK to be the one to do it instead.
Dunno what else to say, but I guess there would be a lot of derealizations, disassociations and identity crises down the line. Maybe identity death? Definitely grieving over the loss of self. That Journey is gonna be FUN.
Hmm….Welded Monkey AU? It’s a synonym of fused and, get this, *married*. Guess when they work it out, they might go Garnet on all this, then? Just a Garnet that couldn’t defuse even if they wanted to…okay, bad example…
(Also, imagine the general Wukongverse reaction to this…this fused monkey that still struggles with feeling real and has no actual identity…like, they love their LEMs but that is just the purest of nightmare fuel even for them – who would’ve thought the furnace could bring forth even more fears?)
Ohohoho
"Welded Monkey!au" is delightfully devious.
Sun Wukong and the Six Eared Macaque may have technically "died" to the Furnace...
But the four-armed, firey-eyed, six-eared, and two-tailed Welded Monkey King of the Crucible was born.
And of course this is considering that the being born from the furnace is a grown fusion, and was not compressed into a fresh Diamond Stone Egg from the ashes...
Both two previous minds clashing and marrying and a whole new mind forming all at once. Not even the Buddha is sure what to make of it.
The battle in heaven is legendary, and even the strongest warrior Erlang Shen is left permanently injured - the Welded Monkey being his equal match + 1. But like with the original story, the Monkey proves far too proud to turn down a bet from the Buddha (though the Macaque part of them yells that it's a trick).
Tripitaka finds his bodyguard 500 years later chained under the Mountain, and nearly faints from the sight.
A tall, bronze-furred monkey that looks at the monk with equal fascination and disgust. Molten copper and iron still dripping from their maw. Lets just say Guanyin needs to apply the crown immediately or else the combined anger of SWK and the spite of LEM means one less Journey member.
Many demons run at the sight of them.
The Welded Monkey (aka "Alloy/Héjīn) refers to themselves only in plural pronouns, as to respect their original forms.
They wield a staff and can jump into the shadows of their foes. To the unknowing, it's like seeing an Asura fight on earth.
Their personality is one of opposites; cheeky and demure, boisterous and calculating, honest and scheming, theatric and shy. So many aspects of Sun Wukong and Macaque combined.
It gets a little awkward for them to explain what's exactly going on. Enemies think it's an interesting power-up. Former friends are the most confused.
PIF: "So are you Sun Wukong or are you Macaque?" Hejin: "Yes and no." DBK: "So their child? Being a combination of both?" Hejin: "We have their memories though." DBK: "Hmm... what's it like?" Hejin, thinking for a while: "Noisy. On the inside." PIF: "I always did think Wukong and Macaque would marry. Just not in this way."
I imagine their Journey is more one of finding their own personality and identity after their creation, and them/the world as a whole accepting the loss of who they once were.
The Wukongverse def pities/is terrified of what Hejin respresents. Hejin is not a SWK/LEM child, nor are they just them combined - they are something Else.
The different Lao Tzu/Laozi's make sure to note; "Do Not put more than one monkey in the Furnace at once."

I was listening to a snippet of Monster from EPIC: The Musical and was inspired to write a snippet of my LMK AU that’s just been sitting in my brain
Xiaotian tapped his foot anxiously against the stone floor of the Water-Curtain Cave. It’s been a week, and his father hasn’t returned home yet.
He told him he would be back in a few days… He told him…
The young simian had a horrible feeling in his stomach. What if something happened to him? What if he got caught up in something and hasn’t even confronted Wukong yet? What if he had, and Wukong…
Xiaotian grit his teeth. No… he couldn’t think like that. Surely, Wukong wouldn’t dare to harm someone who used to be so close to him… right?
Xiaotian turned his head to look at his staff that was only a foot away from him. If his gut feeling was right… he didn’t even know if he could go through with what the darkest parts of his mind were whispering to him. He sighed, conflicted.
Is a demon struck with guilt when they kill? Are they up in the middle of the night, with the thoughts of their victims’ fearful faces and final screams keeping them awake?
…Or do they end such men to avenge their friends and instead sleep peacefully, knowing they have done them right?
Xiaotian reached out and grabbed his staff, fingers tracing over the cool metal, now deep in thought.
When someone, either mortal or a higher being, slaughters many to protect their loved ones, are they going insane?
…Or did they learn to be colder when they grew older, and now they save them the pain?
Xiaotian now leaned against the staff.
When a dragon rises from the depths of the sea to make a fleet drown, are they scared that they’re doing something wrong?
…Or do they keep mortals in check so they must respect them, and now no one dares to piss them off?
Xiaotian narrowed his eyes, now thinking back.
Did Wukong ever use his tricks to kill sleeping demons because he’s… vile? Or did he throw away his remorse and save more lives with guile?
“…If I became the monster…”
The words left him before he could draw them back in. A nearby monkey looked at the simian with a worried look. Xiaotian looked back at it, frowning.
“If I became the monster,” he repeated, this time with a clearer voice. “And threw this guilt away… would that make me stronger and keep our foes at bay…?”
The monkey crawled up to him, sitting next to the boy and chirping quietly. Xiaotian sighed again, and pat the small creature on the head.
If he became the monster to everyone but them… and made sure that his father came home again, who would care if he was unjust?
If he became the monster…
Xiaotian sighed once more, and looked down at the monkey.
“Oh, ruthlessness is mercy upon ourselves…”
(I wrote this at like 11:30–)

Shadow King Au
Remember in episode 9 S1, Macaque managed to trick Wukong for a second shapeshifting as Mk? Yeah? I thought it be cool if Wukong pulled that trick once. STRAP IN BOYS THIS IS A JUICY ONE!!!
~~~
“Please, Please, Please, PLEASE let him be ok!” The six eared Macaque cried as he returned to his Wukong’s mountain after he heard the chaos that was happening. Macaque landed and ran up the mountain helping his people along the way. He could hear Moksha, one of Guanyin’s disciples, calling out to him.
Macaque’s worries grew when he heard the boy calling out to him he rushed towards the sound. He saw many monkeys running away, he told them to find shelter and to help those who are hurt. Once he arrived his worries died when he saw his beloved son he ran up to him and hugged him.
“Xiaotian! I’m so glad you’re safe…”
“Dad…You’re here…” The prince commented
“Of course I did! What happened?! Where are the generals?!”
“I’m….I’m not sure… I think they’re…gone?…” the prince says with a bit of hesitation.
Macaque was in utter disbelief, looking towards his fellow discipline with sadness and hurt. “Moksha go back to master and tell her that Wukong escaped”
‘Look at him he’s hurt…don’t hurt him more than we already did!’
Moksha nods and goes back to Guanyin with the speed he could get. Macaque gave a big sigh as the prince gave a dark glare at the disciple of the Bodhisattva.
They would pay for what they did to him. But first…the six eraed monkey is fir-
“Xiaotian we need to get you out of here… I know you don’t want to leave but its only temporary I promise” Macaque said, as calm and sweetly as he could.
‘Don’t do it please! Tell him the truth! Stop toying with him!!’
“No! I mean no…I want to stay!” The prince stepped away from his father. Maintaining a grip of his staff.
“Xiaotian listen to-”
“Monkey King!!” Cried General Ba as he ran towards his king and the prince
“Ba! You’re safe! Listen take Xiaotian a-“
“Liu’er…thats not the prince”
Macaque stopped and looked at the rest of the generals, injured but protecting their prince, Xiaotian. The king’s eyes widen as his son stood there crying and weak, behind Ma and Liu as Beng got in front of his fellow generals.
Wait
“Dad?”
“Xiaotian? Then-” before he could muster another word after turning towards his “son”, he was kicked with such force towards the nearest stone wall, creating a giant crack upon impact
The fake prince laughed at the sight of the king bashed into the wall, glowing a warm and golden light revealed the freed Sun Wukong. He looked mad…both in state of mind and how he felt.
‘NO STOP THIS ISN’T GOING TO HELP!! THE KID IS HERE HE’LL GET HURT!!’
“Hey plum…missed your king?~”
UHUHUHU ITS SO COOL HAVING ALTERNATIVE SCENARIOS
I also need to find a way to include young wukong in the next part
Imprisoned yet Unshackled
I was so inspired by the large support my last post received, I was able to finish this scene in record time. One thing that was wedged into the back of my mind was, just how does one pass the time when you're trapped under a mountain for five hundred years? Here's my take on Sun Wukong's second imprisonment in @winterpower98's Swap Au. I hope I managed to capture the brilliant yet insane nature of the monkey tyrant.
_____________________________
Sun Wukong, the Great Sage Equal to Heaven, had to smile at his plight.
Once again he was trapped underneath a prison of magic and stone. Only this time the entrapment had not been orchestrated by the Buddha, but by his dearest beloved, a motley crew of demon rejects, and one despicable monk.
He should be infuriated. His rage should invoke the horrible sense the end of days had arrived. Heaven should tremble, Narakas should rush to defend its gates, but no. No, the Monkey King’s temper had cooled to a dangerous degree. Now he could smile and look back on his past with fondness.
Why?
Because he refused to be caught unaware twice.
He may not have been able to stop his imprisonment, but he was able to leave a little insurance for his release. His darling was wise to seal the mountain with the Ruyi Jingu Bang. The infamy of his trademark weapon would be more than enough to strike fear into the hearts of countless demons. Its immense weight prevented all, but the strongest from getting it to budge let alone lift it.
However, for the Handsome Monkey King, it would be a minor feat. Just before the seal was completed and the mountain crashed down, he created a hair clone and sent it out into the world in the appearance of a young human boy. He couldn’t have it mirror him or it would have been hunted down before it could free him. As a precaution, he sealed any memories the clone would have as being, ya know him.
During his time in hiding, he made many new alliances and took on countless servants, many of which joined him after they experienced a thorough humiliation by his darling. The only upside of that worthless journey was all the laughs he got after hearing about all the different demons his beloved trounced on the way.
Seriously, how could one monk keep falling for the same trick over and over again? Maybe Tripitaka enjoyed being abducted? Either way, he had faith that at least one would connect the dots if they knew what was good for them.
He had no doubt the entire Celestial Realm would act to create thousands of mystical and physical barriers to secure and hide the mountain. The villagers would spread tales of destruction and fear, but that would draw in as many as it would push away. Princess Iron Fan would no doubt lead the concealment project herself out of spite. Her husband would personally engage the weaker demons in a fruitless attempt to lessen his fury.
Hehe, the poor demon couple.
Once the heads of a rising court no one would ever dare cross, reduced to celestial dogs as they mourned the loss of their son. The screams of the Demon Bull family curled his toes in the most delightful ways as he forced them to watch their precious matchstick collapse under the fury of his own flames. Unfortunately, the mountain was sealed before he could witness Red Boy’s demise by the True Fire of Samadhi, but even if he survived no one could walk away from that unscathed.
It would take time for his clone to remove the staff, leaving him little to do but think. What else was he going to do trapped under another mountain? This time, not even his face was free to take in the fresh air or watch the stars. He had forgotten how spiteful his darling could be.
They would work on that once he was freed.
Sun Wokong acted too rashly, he could admit that now. He had spent so much time away from his beloved, confident in his capabilities that he failed to account for other dangers. He underestimated Guanyin’s monk. This mortal was the one expected to teach him humility, how could he expect his darling Macaque to survive unaffected.
He thought back to the simple days on Flower Fruit Mountain after Macaque had accepted his invitation to live with him. When it was just the two of them against the world. Their days were filled with training, experimenting with their powers, and making quick trips to scare humans and demons alike. Sun could still picture the easy smile that would grace his beloved’s face after a fulfilling day or whenever he groomed that silky mane.
The playful chirps and growls of the other monkeys filled the background as they went about their normal lives. He watched with pride as families grew and newborns matured into colorful pranksters all their own. Each generation instinctually knew who he was and learned to give him respect, but he didn’t mind them crossing a few lines. What kind of leader would he be if he discouraged what made him happy?
Anytime hunters or an upstart demon attempted to set foot on his mountain, Wukong and Macaque would switch guardian duty. While he definitely enjoyed killing any idiot who dared to intrude upon his territory, watching his beloved slaughter in his name brought him even more pleasure. Unlike his personal tastes of crushing his opponent’s skull after ripping off their limbs, his beloved took a more surgical approach. Delicately Macaque would toy with his prey, methodically tearing apart their physical strength and their sanity, until nothing was left but a pitiful husk who begged for death.
Ah, each one of those performances was nothing less than pure poetry all designed for him.
He wanted that back. He wanted all of those pleasures back and more! And he would get them. Once he was freed, he would find his wayward beloved and undo all the damage Tripitaka did. Macaque would be reminded of their ambition to conquer. But more than anything he would remember who he belonged to.
Fortunately, neither of them was in any danger of dying. During his little stay in the Celestial Realm, he saved a couple of souvenirs. A peach of immortality, a bottle of heavenly wine, and a gourd of pills from Loa Tzu’s lab; each capable of granting the consumer immortality and combined with the safeguards they had already taken.
Macaque had become just as much a fundamental part of reality as himself. He didn’t even have to lie. Despite Macaque being concerned for the consequences of his actions, the six-eared immortal couldn’t help but kneel over laughing as Wukong mimicked the expressions of his celestial servants whenever they tried to ask something of him. Wukong looked on in adoration as his mate indulged in the bounty of the Celestial Realm, tying their futures together until time itself ceased to exist.
It did not matter how long it took. The seal would be broken and all of creation would know fear. Time held no meaning for him. He could afford to be patient.
The Cold Felt Familiar
(Skitters in) HEY Y'ALL WANT ANGST?
Related to this, it’s quite the time with his bud, but not for long~. Buckle up buckaroos, angst is coming.
Also on AO3!
He should've seen it coming, he's used the same trick before. Promises of improvement, strength, power-
"Wouldn't it be wonderful to get him back? You were so close back then, before he was granted his empty title-"
He'd wanted nothing more to burst in and pull 2 havocs in Heaven himself for the sheer disrespect from the Heavenly Court. Bi Wa Men, a lowly stable keeper, wasn't a wonder why he stormed out. Oh yeah, giving him the title Great Sage, Equal to Heaven, only as a way to keep him complacent, that won't turn out bad at all.
"-Being trapped under Five-Finger Mountain-"
He swore, he screamed, he declared, he did everything without care for volume and respect once he found out about the imprisonment. Scoured that mountain for decades, never finding a trace of his friend anywhere. Ran himself raw, searching and pleading for anything or anyone to grant him mercy and let him find his lost companion.
They never did like him anyway.
"-Going on the journey with Golden Cicada and his disciples-"
His blood boiled at that, the journey being the sole reason Wukong was…different. He was still impulsive and hearty, going to Heaven for bi-yearly fights, unafraid to fight anything, chaotic as ever.
But in the fight at the mountains, after stealing Monkie Kid's powers, he knew Wukong was holding back. He heard all the tales (however scrambled they became over the centuries), and had seen himself the power he held. He could've leveled the area and be done with the dispute in mere minutes. They fought, that's true, but the only reason he was beat was because of the kid.
Wukong didn't even have the dignity to strike him down himself, relying on a trainee who'd needed his powers locked up.
It was downright laughable, nay, pathetic at how Wukong was holding back because of one journey.
"-Before he struck you dead."
Oh.
Ah, the one experience he had with death. The one where even after blotting out and ripping his name from the book had him checking over his shoulder and hiding in the shadows for a century in f- caution. It was that long before he realized Wukong did the same thing and no one went after him again (the others don't count, that was Heaven trying to remove his immortality).
Every time he saw his scar, he couldn't help but flinch. It still seemed fresh, still felt raw. His red facial marking didn't help either. (Keeping the glamor was second nature to him after all these centuries. He likes causing nightmares, not having them.)
Wukong didn't hold back then.
He took a deep breath, frosty air chilling his lungs as he turned to the young girl holding the spirit whispering promises laced with shards of ice and flakes of snow.
"Deal." He sneered.
(Macaque didn't want to think about the freezing light crawling down his throat. Too familiar. Too frightening.)
θ θ θ θ θ θ θ θ θ θ θ θ θ θ θ θ θ θ θ θ θ θ θ θ θ θ
Having a body mate was weird, but he learned to tune it out for the most part. Acquiring her ice abilities gave him an edge no one saw, and having her on energy sensory lookout helped with telling who's who and keeping tabs on the shady folk. Added a bonus in battle since she could warn him of any ambushers.
Though there were a couple...nitpicks he had.
Macaque had noticed with each new shadow clone, they turned just the teeniest shade bluer, thankfully not visibly noticeable to other folk yet.
Oftentimes when he summoned his staff, the spikes were coated in thin layers of ice. He rather let the blood flow from his enemies, thank you (though he rarely did more than a passing glance).
Even his shadow smoke form was tinged blue, frost trailing up the wrapping adorning it.
No matter, Macaque could handle this, he was flexible in his strategies (certainly helped with stealing Sun Wukong's power from the kid.) He would rather do without the personal physical changes.
Despite how many layers he covered himself with, his fur and skin stayed cool to the touch. Was a great help in traveling to the warmer sections of the area. With the drawback of visiting anything below 15 °C intensifying the chill.
His face marking, the brilliant red he associated with power, ferocity, hurt, had blue creeping along his eyes. It looked to be icing out in crystalline patterns if he got close enough to reflections.
And his scar, the reminder of why he didn't just remove the spirit he was housing, stayed iced over even in his current setup in the Flaming Mountains.
Ah well, a quick glamor could fix those up. Right now he needed to strategize a way to get Wukong off Flower Fruit Mountain, separating him from the kid and the menagerie.
(Macaque rose from sleep littered with some cuts and bruising. Didn't notice his camp was a few miles closer to Flower Fruit Mountain. Couldn't notice the blue fading back into gold sclera.)
θ θ θ θ θ θ θ θ θ θ θ θ θ θ θ θ θ θ θ θ θ θ θ θ θ θ
"What the hell was that?"
Macaque snarled at his reflection, the outline of White Bone Spirit staring back at him with nonchalance.
"I helped you win the battle and retreat, is that not what you wanted?"
It was going so well, Wukong managed to be separated with a few shadow clones and simple visual and vocal glamours. The recent attack (more like stolen power-high frenzy. Paint crudely helped hide the Demon Bull family's emblem) from the Gold and Silver Demon Brothers managed to split the group up. It was a simple send off of the right fakes to the right area after they split.
Once Wukong was below and far enough, Macaque made his entrance discreetly, ambushing him just as the other caught wind of something off.
And it was going great for a while, without his staff Wukong was forced to fight harder. Wasn't close to the levels of Wukong back in the day, but more than the mountain battle. And the sheer thrill of it, seeing his "bud" let loose more, feeling the higher thrum of energy, oh gloriously maddening!
At least until a quick quip about the fake Wukong acting his part of the plan slipped out. Macaque found himself with too warm a liquid dripping out of his nose and mouth, from a punch and kick respectively.
The clarity at which he saw the unfiltered rage made the haze feel less like fog and more like a spotlight.
It was touch and go for a bit after that, but after a harsh, nearly numbing kick had Macaque gasping for breath, he asked for a boost as he wide eyed the threatening advance.
Blinding blues and white crept over his vision's edge, making Wukong's painfully shocked and horrified face the last thing he saw. Macaque regretted calling his power forth.
"I wanted a power boost, not a power surge blackout!"
"You received the power, but you were already on the verge of blacking out. I'm sorry it made you do so-"
"Excuses, excuses, that won't change the fact of what happened." Macaque turned away, only his eyes giving away his surprise, coming face to face with the cyan glow of White Bone Spirit.
"...Since when could you do that?"
"When I'm not active."
"'When I'm not-' you mean to tell me you can pop out willy nilly? You didn't tell me this before?" Exasperation dropped in his tone, squeezing his eyes shut in annoyance.
"It never came up, this situation is different from humans. With your power, I couldn't-"
"I don't care, you're out." Held up his hands, moving forward, wanting to be done and gone from her.
"I'm sorry-" She made no effort move out of his way, so he walked through.
"I don't want an apology, I want you out, gone, see ya! Deal's off, get your ice and leave-!"
"-But the body isn't yours now."
Realization dawned on him once he passed through. Macaque froze.
As in the body stopped responding to any movement he willed.
"Oh, what's wrong? Can't move what was yours?" Cyan and white passed around behind him, swirling in the air as she skimmed her chilled fingers up his neck.
"Well then, I suppose there isn't anything special about you." She cupped his face, drawing in close, her eyes filling his entire vision. In the cold white, he could see his own gold turn deep, icy blue.
"You're just a macaque with nothing left." With that she drew back into the body.
Hundreds of eyes gleamed from the shadows, some stretching out on shapes familiar- himself- but wrong. He willed his body to move forward, to turn, to fall, do anything to get him away from the twisted glowing outlines as they approached.
He didn't even so much as jolt when the screaming skeletal face flooded his internal vision, bringing an icy air with her. Forcing to stare at the eternally screaming maw, dark icy hands grabbed hold and pulled down, with him along.
No sound left him, not even a gasp.
(The bleakness made him want to flee.)
(The chill made him want to scream.)
(The nothing made him want to cry.)
(Macaque did.)
θ θ θ θ θ θ θ θ θ θ θ θ θ θ θ θ θ θ θ θ θ θ θ θ θ θ
Wukong slammed into the volcano's side, smoke and ash obscuring his vision. Blue cut through the thick black, having him reach back into the lava. Red and black shot to the unwelcome color, but turned to white powder before reaching the target.
"Aw, what's wrong Great Sage?"
Okay, this was bad, this was wa-a-ay bad, but distance was key, if he could get distance he could vanish and regroup with MK-
When did the molten rock turn to ice?
Wukong feverishly tugged at his right side, the ice crawling up his limbs, spreading out over stone and lava alike.
He made the mistake of turning around.
A blue eye with a pinprick snowflake iris nearly touched his own golden eye. Steam rose out past their fangs, doing nothing to help the chill rolling off.
"You look like you've seen a ghost!"
Frisk Hart Clips #45
[Deep within the forests of China, the Rainbow Kids are wearing safari attires in their signature colors. They are again on another quest given to them by the Monster Family.]
Cyan: (happily) This is exciting. I always wanted to visit China. Their Zodiac, Chinese New Year's, ancient temples, great works of art, and of course, pandas.
Blue:(joyful) Yeah! Pandas are so cuddly and cute! I often dream of hugging and cuddling one.
Orange: What I like about China is their obsession with dragons, warriors, and food. (drools) Yum! I heard they make adorable and decorative types of food. The way they make their famous mooncakes, pig-looking steamed buns, chow mein, and my main favorite, their dumplings.
Green: (fantasizes) Yes! China is known to be very vegetable crazy. The way they create their tofu and fried shrimp with cashew nuts. Plus, they are the best sources for anything that's soy.
Yellow: Hey, come on, Orange and Green. You're making me feel hungry.
Purple: She's right, everyone. Remember our mission. We need to look for the mythical Monkey King. There have been rumors that he's been seen at these very forests, and Monster Exterminators have been spotted here to catch it.
Frisk: (smiled) I can't believe the legendary Monkey King is real. His real name is Sun Wukong and a Chinese trickster god. I really shouldn't be surprised since I know that Monsters are real too. I can't believe that gods in other religions excluding Christianity and Roman Catholicism, are considered part of the Monster society.
Chara: According to the legend of the Monkey King, he was blessed with unmatched superhuman strength, the ability to transform into 73 different animals and objects, and magically manipulate wind, water, and fire. His actual appearance is a mystery. I suggest we be aware of our surroundings.
[But then the Rainbow Kids scream when they were suddenly lifted upward by getting caught into a looped rope trap.]
Frisk: (Crosses her arms) I think we're close or in the Monkey King's territory.
Purple: (annoyed) No kidding. We should've expected this from a Chinese trickster god.
[Just then, thousands of golden snub-nosed monkeys suddenly approached the trapped Rainbow Kids and began to monkey chatter.]
Orange: Wow, there are so many monkeys here. But which one is the Monkey King?
Green: These aren't just monkeys, Orange. They are the rare and endangered golden snub-nosed monkeys. I'll try to communicate with them. (Begin to speak monkey)
[But then the monkeys begin to sit in a single file when an anonymous figure begins to approach the Rainbow Kids. They were surprised to see a golden snub-nosed monkey wearing a jade bolo tie and a crown made from bamboo while walking on his hind legs with his signature staff.]
The Rainbow Kids: (amazed) The Monkey King...
The Monkey King: (touches his bolo tie, which makes it glow) English human elk...What brings you to my territory?
Cyan: Your Monkiness, we came to help you.
The Monkey King: (laughed) You offspring here to help me?! That's a load of laughs! (taking out a banana cream pie and throws it at Chara)
Chara: (angrily) Look, I don't care if you're a China God, but I do hate pranksters and tricksters like yourself.
Orange: What she's trying to say is that we need to help you with the Monster Exterminators because people are reporting your tricks and sights are here.
Blue: We're the descendants of Rainbow Humans.
The Monkey King: The Rainbow Humans?! I thought those Monster Protectors went extinct like dinosaurs. Well, all of you but the angry boy-girl thing have the blood smell of them.
Chara: If I ever get out of this trap, I would shave your fur off and turn them into a scarf.
The Monkey King: Oh, yeah. Forgot to free you, youngsters. (uses his bolo tie to free the Rainbow Kids from the trap)
Green: (stands up with his friends) Your Monkiness, are we cool enough to work together to get rid of those Monster Exterminators?
The Monkey King: I don't know. Can you kids pull off pranks?
Yellow: (smirk) Heck, yes, we can. We play so many jokes on Mr. Johanson, the Henry Twins, and their followers.
