THAT SAID THOUGH, I still wanted to do something for you :) I redid this quest and I too am very gay for Nerise Venim! With Vivec City in our sights now, I feel a strange anxiety in my center. I stop to take in the view of the city, the sea, and Baar Dau. “I can’t stop thinking about that Nerise Venim.”

“Oh, she was incredible, wasn’t she?” Mirri says. “Killing goblins felt even better knowing I was doing it for her. Seht knows I don’t take orders well, but somehow I found myself wishing she’d push me around a little.” Mirri meets my eyes and with a guilty little grin. “I… hope that’s what you meant.”

I sigh. “It is. She was intimidating, in that hello muthsera sort of way.” 

Mirri nods, and we stare at the Vivec City skyline for several long silent moments.

“Heh, I should have let one of those goblins knick me, so I could be injured enough for one of her upscale unguents.”

Mirri stares at me. “Sometimes I forget that you grew up Velothi.” She chuckles. “And in Stormhold.”

“What does that mean?” We start walking again. 

“Dunmer controlled Stormhold for much of your life, it’s true, but it was never a Dunmeri city. If you’d come of age in Vivec, or Balmora, or Mournhold, or even in your Ashlander clan, you’d have some idea about expensive upscale unguents to be sold to discerning clients.” 

“I guess I don’t know what exactly an unguent is.”

“Ah,” Mirri says, nodding. “Well, if I didn’t have experience with upscale unguents, I wouldn’t know either, but: one common synonym is lubricant.”

“Ah.”

The rest of our walk to Vivec City is mostly spent in comfortable silence, and we have a beautiful view of the Temple and the sun setting over the Inner Sea. To avoid some of the construction, we take the long way, past the silt strider station and the traders on the outskirts of town.

We’re walking through the crafting plaza when Mirri stops. “I bet I know where she’s selling her wares.”

“Ha, are you in the market?”

Mirri raises her eyebrows at me. “Irrelevant,” she says with a grin. “I meant… if you’re still thinking about her, maybe you could… see if she has any plans this evening.” She hesitates, then adds, “or… we could.” Mirri meets my eyes with slight unease. We love each other, of course, as one comes to love anyone who has fought by their side through Oblivion and back. We both feel pretty strongly that we work best as friends and adventuring partners, but we share sleeping arrangements regularly, and we’re adventurers, so of course, just like with several of my other regular traveling companions, we relieve one another’s tensions from time to time, or watch each other relieve tensions. Sometimes one of us helps the other pick up an evening companion who catches our eye… but we’ve never done it together.

I look down at my boots.

“Ah, just a thought!” Mirri stammers. “I’m sorry, friend, if that was over the line—”

“Mirri,” I don’t want to laugh at her, but I’m laughing at her. “I didn’t even say anything! As soon as you said that, I wondered why we’d never done it before.”

Mirri laughs, trying to sound calm but obviously relieved. “I thought the same thing. I’ve never had a threesome.”

“Really?” I do not hide my shock very well, and Mirri looks adorably sheepish. “Well, now we have to try.”

“I agree!” She grins and lays her hand on my hip. “And now that we’ve been thinking of this for as long as we have, I believe even if she declines, you and I will have a lovely evening, no?”

I lay a hand on her forearm and lean my head against hers for a moment. “Obviously.” We start walking toward the bridge. 

Mirri does know exactly where to find Nerise Venim, and it turns out, I know the place too—on our way in, Mirri and I wonder aloud, for the second time today, why we haven’t been broadening our exploration of common interests. The shop is run by Telvanni-trained mycoturges who specialize in a craft that’s been honed over many generations: strong, flexible, and very pleasurably-shaped fungi, preserved with Altmeri preservation enchantments for easy cleaning. The proprietor claims Vekh himself shops here, and while I’m not sure I believe that, this particular shop does have the best selection in Vivec City, and a wide variety of accessories.

Nerise has a small booth just inside the shop. She’s not serving anyone right now, but evidently things can get busy here—there’s a sign a short distance in front of the booth that says to ensure privacy for all, please wait behind this sign. Even out in the wilds, Nerise was dressed in noble finery and carried herself like a Grandmaster, and here in the shop, she looks regal; someone the rich and powerful trust with their secrets. If she claimed Vekh himself preferred her upscale unguents, I might believe her.

She smiles slyly as we approach. “Came looking for me, did you?” 

I nod. “Couldn’t stop thinking about you.” She raises an eyebrow, and I return her smile, hopefully with an air of casual ease. “We had to know what happened with Stromgruf.” 

“Ha!” Nerise claps her hands together. “Well he’s got pants now, at least, and—thank the Mercymother—I don’t have to deal with him anymore.” She leans across the counter conspiratorially. “If you can believe it, Stromgruf actually thanked me; even apologized for calling me a witch and endangering my livelihood! And that sword I bought him? He practically begged to trade it back for some vials of Potion Of Transform Into Guar For A Day Or So. Said he hadn’t thought once about getting blackout drunk while he was a guar.” She sighs. “Ayem knows the bottle is a far stricter mistress than some angry witch.”

Mirri, now standing outside of Nerise’s view, fans herself dramatically at that. I continue on bravely as if unaffected. “Please; you’re more than some angry witch,” I say. “You turned a Nord into a guar and he begged for more—it takes quite an alchemist to cook up something so potent and pleasurable.”

Nerise meets my eyes with a haughty smirk. “You’re damned right.” She pauses, then smiles serenely. “Now, can I interest you in something… potent and pleasurable?”

“That’s exactly what we came here to find,” I say, somehow managing not to stammer. “Do you have any plans for this evening?”

“Ha!” Nerise looks genuinely charmed. “My only plans are to find an inn room and count my coin. Hmph, look at me; do you think I slum it with adventurers?” She smiles, stern but amused, and meets my eyes to let me know her question was not rhetorical.

I laugh nervously. “Ah—heh. Ah, you—“

Mirri—as she often does—sees me faltering, and steps in. “Come now, sera, I think classifying my friend as merely an adventurer would bury the lede somewhat, don’t you?” Nerise crosses her arms and smiles with eyebrows raised, and Mirri meets her eyes and matches her pose. “We both know you’re worldly enough to have immediately recognized one of Tamriel’s great heroes when you met us earlier today,” Mirri says. “But, message received—it is a bit uncouth of us to make overtures while you’re at work. Apologies; we’ll leave you to your unguents.”

Mirri nods toward the door for us to leave, but Nerise says, “people make overtures all the time in my line of work—occasionally, I even find it intriguing rather than utterly laughable.” She smirks and meets Mirri’s eyes, then mine, and then there is a long, heavy silence. 

“You’re not laughing,” I point out.

“I try not to make a habit of it,” Nerise says, her expression hardening. 

Mirri and I exchange a glance—something about the way Nerise said that seems to have given us both pause.

Mirri drops her smirk. “It’s been rough for you of late, hasn’t it?” she says, now sincere and cautious. “Not just all the business with Stromgruf, but… things were hard well before the goblin situation, I’d wager.” Nerise presses her lips together and maintains her stare, but says nothing. “I come from a big family,” Mirri says, “I know what it looks like when someone has a lot of people depending on them, a lot of weight on their shoulders.” 

Nerise looks away and swallows hard. “Nothing I can’t handle,” she says.

“But wouldn’t it be good to set it down for a while?” I ask. Nerise turns to me, gaze stony and head held high, waiting for me to say more. “Don’t you get sick of cleaning up all the messes, keeping an eye on every variable, holding everything together for everyone around you?“ 

She stares at me, clenching her jaw. 

I meet her gaze, smiling, and ask, “don’t you ever wish someone else could take control; let you rest your mind, let yourself feel?”

Nerise stares at me for a long moment, jaw clenched and eyes glossy. She nods once. Mirri nudges me from behind. All three of us know what that nod meant.

I smile. “Wouldn’t it be good for someone to take care of you, for once, Nerise?”

She meets my eyes with something approaching vulnerability, then crosses her arms and looks away. “I doubt you’re up to the task.” 

Mirri lays her hand on the counter. “You doubt we’re up to the task?” 

Nerise stares at Mirri, then at me. After a long pause, she says, “I’ve got a lot to do here.” She continues staring back and forth at Mirri and me, as if she’s trying to say something without saying it.

“… I own the penthouse at St. Delyn’s Waistworks,” I say finally. 

Nerise is quiet for a few moments. “I’ll see how I feel later,” she says, her tone giving nothing away. 

“Fair enough,” says Mirri, suddenly chipper. “For now, we’ll stick to business.” Not far away from Nerise’s booth is a shelf of merchandise, and Mirri points to one of the mushrooms; long and thick with subtle ridges at the top. “I’ve got one like this back at the penthouse. What would you use to help it go down nice and easy?”

Nerise rolls her eyes and sighs, but says, “I usually recommend—“

“Bring it with you,” Mirri says, and turns to walk away, grabbing my arm to bring me along.

Nerise once again rolls her eyes and sighs, obviously having expected Mirri to say something like that. But she says, “I should tell you, I don’t go down without a fight. I’m rarely nice and never easy.”

Mirri grins. “Of course. See you soon.”

When we get outside, we’re giggling like kids. “That was awesome!” I say. “I didn’t know what to do—I just followed your lead! Very sexy, I have to say.” I affectionately bump Mirri with my hip.

“Thank you, sera,” Mirri says, bowing her head. “I may be inexperienced with threesomes, but let’s just say I have some idea of how to get people like Nerise Venim to unravel.”

“I don’t know,” I say. “She seemed a bit aloof about it all. You really think she’ll come over?”

“Oh, I suspect she will,” Mirri says coolly. “People like her need to hold onto the air of dominance right up until they’re on their backs—and from there it’s short work to get them on their knees.”

its after the gmgs and probably during the dragon king festival that sting realized he really liked natsu

like natsu kicked his ass in that 2v2 and i feel like most dragon slayers would find that hot so he probably started to realize his idolizing of "the salamander" has turned into a crush around then

which made him a bit more angry at fairy tail and a bit more willing to try and fight them in the final brawl. where he, again, got his shit wrecked. and not even by natsu

and during the festival when nearly everyone was bandaged up and already running on fumes natsu was one of the few who wasnt nearly that bad

so when the fight was nearly done and natsu was able to be on the ground and not flying on a dragon he was the only one who could move quickly

bc sting nearly got impaled by falling debris an there was no chance he could move out of the way an ultear had long since turned back time already an there wasnt much light he could hide in

natsu was able to shove him out of the way and the debris only grazed their legs. gave sting a concussion, falling down on the brick road with all the force of natsu fucking dragneel in a protective state, but that was better than death and oops there goes my heart

natsu woulda had no thoughts before that. the most hed think about sting is as a friend in a lesser way to gajeel, since they both started off "bad" but gajeels in his guild and sting wasnt so. more time to bond with gajeel

when sting ate rogue's shadows natsu could feel it. hes fucking unconscious, yeah, but hes also draconic and demonic fire. he can feel the presence and absence of warmth. so when warm light meets warm darkness, he can feel it

it absolutely did not help that little "are you a dragon or a demon" thing going on in his core but it did pull him towards the right answer faster than canon. just more painful and it just kinda sped the whole thing up more so natsu was burning up on lucy's back before they could fully get to porlyusica

the realization wouldve come at the end when everyone had time to share their side of the story. saying "im neither. im human" doesnt really affect your instincts and whatnot. hed already be looking between rogue and sting when someone mentioned they were doing something after he had passed out

he had long since realize rogue's shadows could be cold and warm. he figured it was rogue doing something wacky while sting did something wacky. learning sting fought through starvation, ate rogue's shadows, and beat someone up WHILE STILL FIGHTING STARVATION. and it was ALL FOR NATSU. his heart went soaring. even if he just thought he was amazed and/or proud of how far sting had come. so he,,,, didnt actually realize it

when sting realized, he also already thought natsu and lucy were together. hence his constant idea that hes just gonna be the idiot pinning in the background to an obliviously thickheaded, taken man for comedic relief

when natsu realized-without-realizing, not only did he not actually realize it, but he just kinda. shrugged. and he started wanting to get to know sting more and train with him more and fight with him more but like. thats just typical friendly behavior to natsu

and sting actually let natsu do all that. he let natsu pull him away from guild master work to talk and train and go on quests and whatnot. but it just meant that sting could throw flirts straight at natsu's face and get either a too-serious answer, a too-joking answer, or a blank stare bc what in the hell does that mean

sting would walk over to lucy at some point in time and be all "look your boyfriend is far too fucking dumb. i love him but i respect that you two are together but also can i go on fake dates with him. please think of the comedy of me, sabertooth's master, saying i go on dates with lucy heartfilia's boyfriend. thatd be so fucking funny"

but then lucy just looks at him and is all "my,,, my what? are you saying natsu's my boyfriend?"

sting would look back at her and nod and hed be confused bc. what does that mean. and when lucy starts busting a gut laughing her ass off hes even more confused

when she finally calms down shed say "natsu's more like my dumbass friend who couldnt tell the difference between flirting and shit-talking in a fight. i cant deal with something like that in a partner. hes all yours"

so sting gets excited. hes thinking about all the dates and all the gifts and all the funky little pickup lines and then he realizes just what lucy said and he realizes that not only did she immediately knew who he was talking about. meaning hes already so fucking obvious. but that natsu straight up doesnt get flirting. which is also obvious but to have it confirmed

he had run off after quickly thanking lucy. so when he realized this he was already way too far away. his hearing sucks but he KNOWS lucy is laughing her ass off and honestly he would be too if he wasnt the one smitten with a dumbass

sting would just say fine. whatever. all those fake date ideas he had were just going to be real dates whether natsu would say they were or not.

when the training had finished and natsu said that sting just. went on a rant. about how different shit talking and flirting was. he went into details. he gave examples. he made sure to start trying to kick natsu to make sure he was paying attention because their adhd asses liked to just look off at butterflies every fucking second without something to do

sting got so riled up he started throwing white attacks around at natsu. natsu started throwing fire back but he was asking questions that just KEPT. MAKING STING. SO ANNOYED. BECAUSE HOW HAS NO ONE EXPLAINED THIS PART OF MODERN HUMAN BULLSHIT YET.

it was when stings voice got so scratchy and his throat got so raw that he finally stopped giving natsu a fucking crash coarse in modern romance. he stopped fighting and back on the ground. and it was silent

until natsu walked over, straddled stings hips, and said "so... all that time we were eating and talking and fighting, you were trying to mate me?"

and sting drags his hands down his face and looks up at natsu with the least impressed expression he can while honestly very embarrassed. he cant even say anything again. so he just nods.

aw thank youuu! i don’t feel like i have a set process but i'll try. 3 months ago i wasn't even thinking about writing lol i used this blog for years to download sims cc/read fics 💀 but my life is kinda chaotic and i jump into things on a whim so here we are!

as for the process, my ideas come naturally mostly. irl i have to be creative w work bc it’s 110% necessary, so it’s not hard for me at all on here but it’s draining irl tbh. i’m constantly thinking of ideas, but i add small bits of myself and others in characters too.

ex: anxiety is a very real thing for me so i included it in the fic to relate to the character. every time i post i nearly want to delete everything bc my brain is convinced ppl hate it 🙃

i try to make sure readers can see parts of themselves in the fic, in any character; like descriptions or dialogue (humour). nothing makes me close a fic faster than seeing descriptors like ‘your porcelain skin’ bc i cant relate to that at all and it breaks immersion for me. i don’t want other ppl to feel like that reading my stuff so i use words like ‘soft skin’ instead

for T, i use what we know + astrology (i’m well versed w libra men 😔) but i try to use the good parts only bc…. loll. anything else, i just go with what feels natural for his character development

for J, i just love his silly personality and can’t stop myself from adding him in some way. i also don’t feel that comfortable adding T’s family into the fic just yet so Jude is sort of there for that too. i honestly need to make more jude fics

for smut i try to think of interesting scenes so its not the same every time. i also include more sensual scenes for the romance (like the bubble bath and the couch scene)

the dreams were a creative way for me to explain their subconscious thoughts w some light foreshadowing. i also added flashbacks to show the relationship progressing since i did a time jump

i let the story tell itself as i go. i know the ending (for now) but there’s so much in there i never planned on adding. y/n wasn’t supposed to have siblings, the eclipse thing was meant to just be witty dialogue at first, they were supposed to bump into each other at the route 66 trail marker in santa monica pier instead of a train (may still add that somehow)

i write over a period of days and finish a chapter when it feels right, then i edit at least 3 times for 1-2 days.. but never the same day of writing. ch 9 didn’t have that park flashback in it originally until edit #2 and i can’t imagine the storyline without it now.

i also enjoy adding hidden messages/symbolism. it’s fun to let readers decipher things they don’t understand yet. it’s like a little side quest

all in all.. im just a serial daydreamer who enjoys romance.. been that way forever. i’m also delusional so that helps a ton!!! ����

My opinion is that this person is should distinguish between Tartaglia/Childe and Ajax, Ajax is different, he doesn't need to be super cheerful and goody but it's true that Ajax is softer, he cares and he's willing to make happy the people he loves the most. Tartaglia is cold, serious, that man is a living weapon as we could see in out battle with him.

I'd like to add extra points like he can cook, clean, he can be kind and doesn't care about money, money is to spend after all, he also invited traveler to his hometown, he has a soft side but working for The Tsaritsa, plus his birthday letters are so... Cute ? He honestly wants to spend time with traveler and not only to fight, but just to have a talk or fishing.

But yeah, that's my opinion, I wanna read yours please? 💕

first and foremost, fancontent is fancontent. it’s totally fine to make your content ooc bc it’s *your* content. you’re not legally or morally obligated to make a character as lifelike as possible unless that was your intention. second, i really don’t think i’m the right person to ask this because istg i look at his pretty face and melt. what do you mean childe is a murderer? my baby boy would never hurt a fly! /j here’s my two cents tho! its utc! uh.. warning, it did get long but that's expected. this is my husband we're talking about. ofc im not gonna be able to shut up abt him </3

whenever i write for childe, i decide which facet i’d be using. childe, the reckless and battle-hungry warrior who is at home in the gore and bloodshed of war, tartaglia, the tsaritsa’s loyal follower who would stop at nothing if it means the fulfillment of his god’s will and finally, ajax, the family man who adores his siblings with all his heart. the thing is, these parts of him are not exclusive. they merge and blend to make up his character. when you’re traveling with him, you’ll find that he dons the most cruel smile as he demolishes one mob and another but as soon as night draws close, he’s cooking up a pot of stew that he personally says is his favorite during his childhood when all that he has to battle the winters of snezhnaya was a warm bowl of his mom’s cooking. and of course, if the situation turns for the worse, he won’t hesitate to cut you down in honor of the tsaritsa though he would do so with much regret. that is who he was. when he joined the fatui, he was tartaglia first, childe second and ajax to the very few he chose to trust.

i agree that childe is cold and serious to the core. he’s not a good person and he’s not afraid to admit that. he could be selfish and manipulative but he’s also very sincere when he says that he loves his family and would choose to protect them even if it means them hating him for the rest of their lives. it doesn’t make him a good person nor does it justify his actions but it does prove that underneath all the cruelty that made him who he was now is the same, young ajax who helps his parents do chores  — the same one who joins tonia’s teaparties where they read foreign books together and runs around having snowball fights with teucer and anthon. i also believe that his relations with the traveler is just as sincere. his ‘ajax’ facet is reserved for his family, yes, but the ones he truly respect and kind of care for in the sense of being worthy comrades/rivals (like the traveler) might see a snippet of that side of him from time to time. i think that he appreciates that there’s someone who can keep up with all three sides of him, not reprimanding him for it because in reality, no human ever has only one side. the traveler recognizes him as someone who is part of the fatui — therefore bad and that they should be careful around him — but they also accept his sparring invites from time to time. in rarer moments, they relate to him because they have a sibling too and they will do everything for them. thus, the traveler recognizes that ajax is a part of childe and he is softer and kinder than his other two personas. it’s unfair to say that ‘malewife’ childe doesn’t exist because i genuinely believe that he does. it’s just not for everyone to see.

point is, he’s such a complex character and fictional characters like he is are often up for anyone’s interpretation. most fancontent out there are based on some vague interaction he had in the few cutscenes he appeared in. in reality, we’ll never know what’s ooc or not because we’ll also most likely not see him in the situations we fantasize about. anw, ooc or not, malewife childe superiority. i love him. marry me sir and if our marriage goes south, please eat my poisoned squid and die with a smile <33

biana makes historical versions of famous costumes (disney, barbie, you name it) shes basically the cosplay queen. she did a lot of stitching by hand before her accident which cost her her arm, so now she mostly does it with a machine (look, amputee!biana is in every single on of my human aus). her videos are very chaotic bc shes mostly just making it up as she goes, but in the end, she gives a proofed step by step how to for the dress/coat/wtv. since shes so rich, all of her paterns are free as well. she has around 3m subscribers. she does charity streams.

dex is a maker. he does reproductions of weapons he likes from video game, movies, animes you name it. he has an ongoing series called “will i finally manage to make a lightsaber this year ?” it comes out every year in july, and is one of hs most viewed videos. he also works to make his own patinas and experiment with different kinds of finnish for his pieces. he took a year off off youtube at one point to learn how to make jewellery, and now hes back with a store, and some custom rings ! he has around 1.5m subs, but some of his videos can get as many as 10m views. he never monetizes his videos.

fitz is a baking youtuber, in theory. the first few years on his channels were basically just baking tutorials without voiceover. but he did one live strem for 100k and the fans were absolutely shook at his voice and face, and he just never could go back to anonimity. how did he get that many subs ? well, all of his videos had the fuck ups included, and step by step guides on how to fix these mistakes. also the editing job was flawless. now he does baking experiments, and some cakes on request. he has a few monetized videos, but only with small companies that really need advertizing, or ridiculous products. (hes been known for doing a video sponsored by chin workout equipent) he has around 3m subscribers as well.

keefe is the random guy. he does art challenges, and trends, and just videos that seem pulled out of nowhere (”i set up a fake shower in the middle of the street lol”) he takes part in drama, as in he watches from the sidelines, then makes a shitty edit summarising the whole thing. hes never pretended to eb serious, and the people watching him know hes not. hes released one song on spotify that is just a compilation of everytime katherin bennett said urinoirs in That Video. hes fairly unproblematic though, and everytime he sets up soemthing crazy like the bathroom stall, he finds a way (legal or not) to let anyone that might need it use it. he has arund 6m subs, and definitely does big charity dnations

linh and marella are gamers. they dont have the same channel, but their content is fairly similar, even though their approch to it is wildly different. marella always tries to follow the rules so much she creates chaos, and linh generally gets distracted by side quests for a whole episode. theyre mostly known for their extremely different DBH gameplays, with marella ending up with the bad ending somehow, even though she mostly followed the good storyline, and linh killing way too many people unnessessarily by panicking. they both have around 5m subs

tam and sophie both are editors. theyre the ones that make the videos. sophie works with biana keefe and fitz while tam works with linha and dex. marella has jensi. theyre the ones that get the crew together. 

linh and marella decide to do a collab, but jensi cant edit marellas half, since he has to leave for college or wtv, so sophie, who watches a lot of tams side videos (conspiracy theories) sends him an email being like “hi, i heard you needed an editor, and i dont sleep ever and editing keeps my mind off things i dont wanna think ab, so im here if you need me. oh and btw, links to the channels im the editor of”

then fitz, one night, is like “oh, btw, do you know anyone who lives near **** bc im looking for a roommate” and sophie is like “yeah i gotchu, y cous dex lives nearby, and hed appreciate a bit of help for the rent so ill hook u up” 

anyways, theres a small “wait youre THAT sophie ????” from tam, but it doesnt matter, fitz and dex move in together. 

soph and biana are long suffering parents looking at their children who have a crush on each other, without realizing they also are the children who have a crush on each other. 

marella and linh get together quite easily, comparing to the rest 

they simply did a qna; and one of the questions was like “are you dating ???” and marella is like “nah, i wish” and linhs like “id be down”. and thats it.

sophie and biana are tipical oblivious wlws, and start dating after a kiss to piss off homophobes (its in character dont @ me)

no one knows wtf keefe and tam are. they dont know if they are dating, or hate eachother, or have the bromance of the century. its confusing to everyone and they like it that way.

Another hastily muffled sniffle confirms his suspicions and he carefully eases open Virgil's door, mismatched eyes straining to see the anxious side. Virgil's huddled on his bed, wrapped up in all his blankets, and his pacifier dangles from its bat-printed clip.

Oh, Deceit thinks, and eases his way back out. Virgil doesn't notice as he slips down the hallway to Logan's room. If Virgil is upset and regressed, Deceit thinks he needs both boyfriends.

"Logan," he says quietly, startling the other side. Logan looks up with wide, slightly annoyed eyes.

"It's Virgil," Deceit murmurs, before Logan can issue a word of protest. "He's regressed and from the sounds of it, quite upset. I thought it prudent to-"

"Oh yes, of course," Logan says, rising as he speaks and accidentally interrupting Deceit. "I apologize," he says at once. "I didn't mean to interrupt you. Please continue."

"It's fine," Deceit says, stroking the back of Logan's hand. "Let's go."

This time, Deceit is more obvious opening the door, but Virgil still doesn't notice, too wrapped up in his own misery, and that concerns Deceit. And Logan, judging by the worried frown on his face. Virgil always notices when someone comes in. It's part of being Anxiety.

"Virgil?" Deceit speaks softly. Virgil looks up, startled, and Deceit can see that his eye shadow has smeared all down his cheeks. "Sweetheart, what's wrong?"

"You'll be mad," Virgil hiccups, his hand coming up and fidgeting with his pacifier. Deceit sits down next to the blanket-wrapped bundle of Anxiety, while Logan takes Virgil's other side.

"No, I won't," Deceit says. "You're upset, baby bat. I want to help you. I can't help you if I get all mad, can I?"

"No," Virgil admits. His voice is still tear-choked. "But you told me- told not to look up stuff that upsets me and- and I did, but I didn't mean to, I didn't read the tags good enough, and-" He sniffles, fresh tears welling to the surface.

Ah. Deceit exchanges a look with Logan over Virgil's bowed head. Now he can fill in the blanks, at least somewhat. Virgil has a bad habit of looking up what's been dubbed "unsympathetic sides" on Tumblr. It always upsets him and both Deceit and Logan asked him not to, or at least to talk to them first. But it's not always tagged properly, or perhaps the 'unsympathetic' portion had inadvertently been buried.

In any case, Deceit can guess who Virgil had accidentally read about. He's always the most upset when it comes to Deceit himself. You aren't like that at all! He remembers Virgil's impassioned, blubbering plea on another occasion. You won't hurt me. I know you won't.

"It's all right," Deceit soothes, smoothing down the unruly strands of Virgil's hair with one freshly ungloved hand. "I'm not mad at you, storm cloud. Logan isn't either."

"Dee is right," Logan confirms. "Neither of us are mad. Accidents happen."

"You wouldn't do that stuff," Virgil mumbles into Deceit's chest as he turns and burrows into the front of Deceit's outfit. Deceit's arms automatically come around him, rubbing soothing circles on his back. "Never ever. It's not fair. You're not mean."

"Never," Deceit affirms. "But other people have the right to write what they want, too. Do you want me to go through and see if there are any new tags I can block for you?" Virgil nods.

"Yes, please," he says in a small voice.

"Storm cloud," Logan says, attracting his attention. "Is there anything you'd like to do now? Coloring or watching a movie, perhaps?"

"Movie?" Virgil requests shyly. "You- you both stay, right?"

"Of course," Deceit says, as Logan nods. "We won't leave you, baby bat. I promise." He presses a kiss to the top of Virgil's head, making the other side giggle weakly.

(the mandalorian spoilers) i realize this is going to sound hypocritical as hell seeing as im the local boba fett stan on ur dash, but im really going to freak it if they bring back Yet Another Fucking SW Character into that show. 

this is really giving me flashback to prequels, whoever is deciding on the direction for s2 of mandalorian doesn’t know what made s1 work. s1 was great bc it was within the universe of star wars but it showcased a DIFFERENT part of it. it wasnt the usual jedi shit, it was the perspective of (jango vc) just a simple man, trying to make his way in the universe. s1 worked because it WASNT about star wars, it only used the setting of star wars. the jedi werent a part of the story and neither rly was the empire, din’s conflict with the empire was always based on self-defense or protecting *checks smudged writing on my hand* groggy. he wasnt involved in the main plot of sw and thats why s1 fucked because THE MAIN PLOT OF STAR WARS SUCKS ASS AND ALWAYS HAS SUCKED ASS BECAUSE IT WAS MEANT TO BE AS SIMPLE AS POSSIBLE, YES THE PLOT OF OT SUCKS ASS TOO, HOWEVER IT IS EXECUTED IN AN EXCELLENT WAY.

but now every single episode of s2 has some sort of reference to the main plot of sw. some character bringing balance to the force, another mastermind pulling the strings from afar. when they mentioned thrawn i was like......... wow. really?? did they think that moff gideon isnt threatening enough to be the main villain???? they gotta bring in the cartoon blue man?????? what a disservice to mr esposito who is doing TREMENDOUS work on that show, he could easily be the Main Big Bad for many many seasons but NOOOO dave filloni gotta bring in the cartoon men. 

im also getting sick of the sidequests. every fucking episode its the same, some npc goes “yes i will help you with the main quest IF you help me with this side quest, go gather ten giant crab legs” , its getting sOOO old. in s1 din took a lot of detours too, true, but at least it felt like... he was actively choosing to pursue them. in season 2 he doesnt even feel like a protagonist anymore, it doesnt feel like he makes DECISIONS anymore, he just passively lets people give him various tasks without any critical thought. he doesnt feel like. a character anymore. he just does side quests now. 

but yeah, my main issue with s2 of this show is that theyre undoing all the work of s1. im sure a lot of tcw/rebels fans love to be validated thru a Live Action Show and i know i was super super super happy to see boba return but... god at least boba was never very much INVOLVED in the main plot of sw, he was a part of it ut he wasnt emotionally and narratively invested in it. which is why he’d make such a great addition to the show. but now dave filloni is throwing his toys at the screen and validating the tcw stans and the ten people who watched rebels and im just... im so tired. season 1 was so great bc it wasnt abt star wars. now every episode its. star was nostalgia. and its not even given to us in a fun way, its just. characters namedropping other characters and looking into the camera knowingly.

What faction do you usually pick in Fallout 4? It kind of sounds like you have beef with the Minutemen but the Brotherhood are bigoted trash, the Institute are bigoted trash who can't even accomplish anything productive, and the Railroad are super fixated on their ethically dubious synth liberation quest and do pretty much jack all for everyone else, so I'm curious as to which one you went along with in the end.

i havent played it thru to the end yet full disclosure kkfdksgf the main questline has been underwhelming so far, so i’ve been dragging my feet even tho i have like multiple playthroughs going. but i’m siding w the railroad because while there r heavy criticisms to b levied w/r/t their methodology, it still feels good to do literally anything to impact any of the game’s like, stilted in-universe bigotry subplots to even a small extent hahajfdsgf. plus i like most of the individual npcs, i end up more annoyed at my own lack of flexible dialogue options than i do at the characters themselves. (it’d be chill if the game had more RPG elements and i could like, influence the politics and idk ‘destiny’ of the group more overtly instead of just being Assigned Grunt.) some of their sidequests are actually pretty fun, or at least are no more bothersome than unguided exploration would be and give me a bit of character development to tide me over.

i guess i do kinda have beef with the minutemen but for the most part that’s my beef with the actual writers showing thru bc of how the game’s like. colonialist fantasy gameplay loop and its unironic fetish for revolutionary war imagery intersect hEAVily when it comes to the minutemen (obvs). in all honesty i’ve never wanted to dip too far into that questline or even take preston along much even tho he seems chill and i like him so far, bc i know the writing (or, best case scenario, the way the gameplay will inevitably actively subvert any good writing that sneaks in there) is just gonna end up seriously pissing me off.

there’s no like, group in fallout four that suits my political views bc even the vaguest whiff of real-world radical politics were very carefully kept out of the vaguely liberation-aligned groups in the game. like, goodneighbor is kind of implied to be SOME kind of socialist outpost right? shared resources, anyone is welcome etc. but wait! it’s a new reno esque hedonistic crimefest where you can get anything for the right price and the only language they speak are bullets! but wait! they have a mayor who they love and respect very much. or is he a de facto monarch? or is he just a mayor? (actually, he’s my lover.)  i don’t think it’s like, especially new or inventive of me to say this, but any theme that made it into the game was thoroughly stripped of meaning and made broadly palatable to like. the right-center, reactionary white gamer demographic. like, uhhhh, this was def a high budget game for a post-gamergate market. so honestly i take what i can get with the railroad. any moment im not cringing is a moment of good gameplay. (usually those moments are like, jumping into a lake in far harbor to get a better look at the non-interactible fish models for ecosystem lore, but again, i take what i can get.)

would have really liked a plot where the pre-game massacre of most of the railroad’s outposts allows the PC to like, optionally restructure it into an organization that’s actually involved with the ppl it’s set up to help (and nix the policy on mindwipes as a shortcut around trauma recovery/safeguarding of the vulnerable, and the--HOLy SHIT--disgusting attitude towards bodily autonomy in general, both of which seem to be there more for player convenience than for a well thought out story purpose), or even like. to see just a LiTTLe followup on some of the shit deacon says abt philosophical infighting early on out back of the slocums joe? but it doesn’t seem like we r going there and like, eh. i can keep my head down and grind out a few boring quests if it means avoiding the risk of total disillusionment with preston garvey and not having to listen to brotherhood anti-ghoulfucking PSAs or whatever godforsaken shit happens when i finally close out the act and let the institute beam me up ahaha.

oh yeah also like every guy who works for the railroad is weird-hot in one way or another (and also they sell me armored, combat-ready versions of casual clothing items so i can look great and feel safe, & make sure anyone whose inventory i can access has some armor on em without heavily impacting their look) and ultimately im shallow enough to let that tip the scales. plus its so nice to come back to the cave at like four AM after a long string of sidequests n see these totally random npcs who dont even like each other, all spooned up on all them mattresses. at the end of the day they deal w each other bc it’s cold and nasty. that’s a way more compelling vibe than i get from any of the actual faction related cutscenes in the game.

then i ruin it immediately by waking up tinker tom to buy more bulletproof dresses.

As always, i am sorry for my writing, i am no writer. and sorry for taking so long in updating this AU.It is written the same way I narrate to myself but the general of the story is all there! (and I think this is the longest part to date)

RECAP TIME:

Shiro, Keith, Lance, Pidge and Hun are Greek demigods, Allura is a Roman Demigod. Their quest is about finding Matt and getting to Mount Othrys  since it is appearing because rough demigods *cough* Lotor guiding the Romans *cough* are siding with Kronos because the Gods have gone radio silent for WAY too long. Reah helped Allura to get to Camp Half Blood and meet the Greeks because she doesn’t want his husband to pit demigods against the gods anymore  but she made Allura promise to not reveal the the thing about camp Jupiter existing… They parted on their quest, had a couple of bonding moments *WINK*  and when they got to the Gods Junkyard they met some roman demigods who were scrapping for weapons and who attacked team voltron only to be saved by MATT (accompanied with other demigods  surviving away from any of the camps). 

Under the cut is how it all follows

FIRSTLY lets move to Tartarus:Adam FELL…into tartarus only to be found by Nyx on her flying chariot and Adam convinced her that he was more valuable alive. 

Nyx took Adam as errand boy in tartarus in exchange of the death mist thing and you know, not dying. Doing that he found the hermes shrine and he tried to contact his father or anyone without much success for MONTHS but at least there he got some food, so…yeah, it wasn’t all that bad. But of course the more he tried to contact his father , and after not getting an answer, it really seemed the gods couldn’t care less about their half human children and it can make anyone feel angry and unimportant.

Every single soul on tartarus has a thing against zeus and demigods and he always said like “ im just the messenger i dont care”, but since everyone is so bored they kept asking him about what got him there. But he had to be careful af bc telling dangerous ancient souls about how much he missed his bf a son of zeus (or ex boyfriend he is not sure) was SO not an option. BUT was by meeting these ppl that he met one of those kings that have escaped tartarus in the past and BOI did that gave him faith. It was possible. The thing is  being in tartarus is weakening for a demigod, repeating yourself enough times that you are NOT dead is not enough to believe.. you are not dead. He rly wants a way out and, after all, Adam is the son of Hermes, god of travellers and the only god to be able to travel from the land of the dead to….anywhere so he had to channel he had that in himself, he only needed a way to get OUT. One of the days he is in the Hermes shrine he gets a dream on how to get out there: One of the non guarded, full of monster, secret doors to the mortal world through the labyrinth.

That is when he sets on that journey and finds in the entrance to the labyrinth/ exit from tartarus. He also finds in that exact point a adamantine sword: perseus sword (not percy riptide. Perseus,) a harpe giving to the olden hero by hermes, (The harpē  was a type of sword or sickle; a sword with a sickle protrusion along one edge near the tip of the blade made of the indestructible metal adamantine , check it out it is pretty cool). The sword is cool and all but as always with demigods, when something good happens it only means something worse it’s on its way. And finding a weapon is bad news and everyone knows it.AND THAT is how Adam got out of tartarus. By then a year or so has passed and it is basically in the same moment hour 6 heroes start their own quest.

NOW..There are romans demigods with Matt, they recognise Allura  and don’t really trust her because they kind of think she is with Lotor, but Matt is like, NAH she is with MY friends , with MY sister and they trust she so, she is alright and while they are camping in some safe part of the junkyard Matt explains to Voltron team about how camp half blood is not the only camp, and that there are…more ways a demigod can survive away from camp, there are the amazons and the hunters and all kind of side places created by demigods for demigods where they can feel safe. 

They all then look at Allura who is relieved she can come clean to her quest mates, but then then she is confused by why Romans are attacking them, and some of the demigods who are with Matt say it is Lotor (who..it really is but Allura didn’t know is siding with kronos) and Allura is like “No no, it can’t be, Lotor is thoughtful and charming and a great leader who will always have his reasons and wants the best for Camp Jupiter and he is a real Hero “ half flustered and Lance sees that Allura actually...like-like this Lotor. Who seems to be La creme de la creme in the Roman camp while Lance is a rookie demigod, not really a fighter, on his first quest and he has been about to die most times than all of the others together in the past like 3 days.. 

And Lance just goes by…oh because he wanted Allura to like him because he was really liking her and the way she seems a full flagged fighter and leader. BUT still in a very Lance way he sides with Allura in front of everyone including the demigods who are not trusting her, “ of course she is not doing this to harm other kids, she has risked her life for us and she could enter camp halfblood so she is good and full of good intentions and Reah herself guided her to us so she is great”. AND Keith is like….oh because it seems Lance really likes Allura  and even if they were hitting it off with the Pegasi maybe it was all in his head and Lance would like more someone like Allura who is actually thoughtful and not him who doesn’t know where his head is half the time :’)So..how to get from Arizona to Mount Othrys without being spotted by rough demigods, the romans AND all kind of monsters ON TIME? The only answer they find is The Labyrinth that is equally dangerous but could keep them away from revealing their position and their plan to the Romans. The idea is that Allura gets to camp Jupiter and confront Lotor …without being detected so she cant be stopped by Lotor….right handsMatt navigated trough it enough to suggest it is possible to get everywhere from there, Shiro is having a mental breakdown because he doesn’t want to get inside it again but he is good at hiding his feelings and be a Good Leader ™ But Matt is gonna keep with the demigods trying to slow down the romans and monsters while mount ostrys just gets more powerful and to distract them from the real quest with team voltron.

…And Pidge. Pidge is like NOUP I promised Athena I will bring you back alive and I found you and I wont Let You Go Again, We are heading back to camp because that is the only logical solution. Nothing says WE have to keep in this quest and we can go back regroup in camp half blood and live to fight another day with a better plan.But Matt has changed a lot since he went out on his quest with Shiro and Adam and he has met these amazing demigods and  he tells her there are many things worth fighting for that thinking with her heart is equally important, and that they will meet again in camp Jupiter.In the Labyrinth!So yeah everyone kind of say their good byes and goes separate ways entering the labyrinth, technically they were set on following monsters (brilliant plan) because they are being kind of called by mount Othrys. As you know, the labyrinth is a fucking mess and without a real way to navigate it it is impossible to be completely sure what is going on, It changes and it seemed it was fuckin with them. After an incident with some flesh eating horses and trying to get away from rough demigods and monster trying to get them to the gladiator arena, a big attack from a Kampe it all goes to hell. 

They found themselves in a REALLY  small passage where SHiro is having a problem with his mechanical arm and hunk is trying to see what made it high-wire so much ,Lance started to get on his own, because he is brave and he could get them out of there and maybe he just have to knock on that weird rock door with a strange painting. That is when the painting in the wall started to look more than real and the Kampe spotted Lance first of course, and while he froze at the giant horrible monster who was destroying the walls and the floor and everything in the small passage materialising in front of him, Allura saved his sorry ass (again) controlling the mist as well as she could, but since she has been more worried about the entire Lotor siding with Kronos thing, it is not…as effective as it should. Pidge is trying to REALLY work up  an exit, and thinking quick she tells allura to distract the Kampe with copies of them while they escape from the roof. BUT the Kampe is not fooled and When Allura and Pidge  are the closest to the improve exit on the roof, Shiro and Hunk are about to get decked, Lance in one of his hero complex things gets the full attention of the monster again and Keith goes by OH No. Not. Again. and gets Lance out of the way. Lance is getting really furious with Keith bc it is the zillion time Keith takes him out of the way  of a fight, as if he was not able to do things himself. The beast is attacking Keith now, frustrated that his precious prey got away and makes the floor crumble with Shiro and Hunk sliding further down, Allura Pidge and Lance got into the way of the roof and keith is channelling all that energy, the one that made him get to shiro back in his first quest, and he is able to step on the rock doorway disappearing from the monster. 

Shiro and Hunk end up together in one of the most ancient parts of the labyrinth, dark, smelling like wet earth and little breathing space….,and poor shiro who was trying so hard to keep calm is 5 minutes into losing it completely , he, a son of zeus is underground, feels trapped and thinking they can end up in the gladiator arena again is driving him a bit too insane. Hunk is seeing this and does what he does best, try to get how the current problem works, bu this time is not some piece of metal but it is Shiro’s entire existence. ANd for all that is worth, Hunk is really good at coming trough for others in pinch moments.

Lance Pidge and Allura end up together navigating the most tedious part of the labyrinth. dumb monsters marching to the same place  and they cant do anything but follow them with the help of allura’s mist to disguise them and praying Lance natural monster magnetism doesn’t get them killed…and the only door they find ends up in the middle of a GIANT field, so no help. It is tedious af and it just gets MORE tedious by their current situation: Allura is  trying to get the mist to work for her but she is having a hard time concentrating after learning her family, the romans and…Lotor are behind Kronos getting stronger. 

Lance is  trying his best on keeping not only alive but showing he has everything to be a hero, but honestly he is debuting everything he knew about himself, He has been about to drown, he froze in front of a monster, he never knows what is going on. He has no quest experience like shiro and keith, he is not good at solving puzzles like Pidge or repairing stuff like Hunk, not to mention he had no idea about the romans or any of the problems Allura is having but he still tries hard to be the charming demigod who is no afraid of anything and is there to support her every move. Even tho he knows…it has been Keith the whole time who has been taking him away of fights the entire time, even fixing his mess of waking the Kampe, probably for the best because maybe…just maybe…Aphrodite kids where not mean to be on quests after all.)

Pidge, is just looking at the horizon like she is in the office. Matt might be her beloved brother, but seeing how they all are thinking with their hearts and that is making them terrible for this quest is another level. And Lance,…lance is ranting to her how he could totally go against Kampe if Keith did not interfere again and again. BUT Pidge knows that Keitth has a problem with Lance being in danger and it is not because Lance is not capable exactly and more with Keith crushing hard on Lance, So she yeah, she is trying to side with Keith here out of solidarity and convince Lance that Keith is not trying to sabotage him or any of those things. That maybe Lance could learn from keith and spend more time with him maybe (wingman pidge ftw)

Keith ended up alone in the labyrinth and after being able to use again his  doorway powers he finds himself in a room with two doors and a doorman in the middle of them. The two faced doorman is Janus himself ask him which is the door he is gonna go, which decision is the correct one since he will have to make The Choice of His Life in the future….and inpatient Keith start asking Janus ALL the questions at once starting by “what was that?”, “what does his coin means?”,”what was his mother relationship with Janus?”, “that he knows about the romans and that it is unfair he didn’t knew before” and blablabla. And janus is like,one of this doors give you all answers, the other takes him to certain death and Keith goes by coin flipping decision time in hopes he could trick Janus into revealing the correct one since he figure out Janus is just trying to fuck with his head. And surprise! the moment he flipped the coin it transformed into an imperial gold gladius and keith basically surprises janus, Keith goes to stab him and janus just disappears through one door and keith in a moment of good judgement goes to the other because Janus of course went trough the door that would kill Keith. SO…he gets to the door with the answers BIG GASPSO

Back to Hunk and Shiro are in one of the ancient marts of the maze and they start walking thanks to Hunk who was prepared to go into a really dark place and has scraps from Hephaestus Junkyard. And in one of those rm=emote parts of the Maze, they start hearing talking, HUMANS talking, to be precise demigods and it means it is the same kind of demigods that are working with monsters and trying to get Kronos back and Shiro is like protector mode ACTIVATE and is ready to fight them as soon as the turn one corner but the  demigods sound like they are..discussing between them SO they end up getting as close as they want to hear what they are talking about and SHiro just stops dead on his trail as he recognises one of the demigods….it is Adam.

and Shiro NOW stops breathing. So hunk resolves that the best approach is NO fighting so he kind of goes in making himself appear he is on their side  playing innocent and that some leader needs them BUT Adam recognises him from camp and Adam gets Hunk is Lying. He is about to knock Hunk out and… shiro interferes. So you know this is the first time they see each other after their fight back before Shiro was captured and made a champion, before Adam went to tartarus and Back. (their fight was about how shiro is always playing the hero and getting himself and everyone around him into dangerous shit and how Adam was playing it safe and never wanting to risk more than he should. BOth were correct) Adam: I thought you were dead Shiro: I thought YOU were deadAnd it ends up being the Most Awkward Reunion in the world. like Hunk thought they were gonna be fireworks and tears and a kiss but it  is nothing like that. They fall directly into quest mode because talking about their feelings is recognising their previous fight and that they separated.Adam stares at shiro new scar/arm/hair all the time and Shiro stares at adam new sword/dark circles under his eyes and he is always On Edge. Both look tired and terrible. .Hunk is like, OKAY good the update but we should be thinking on getting to the others!! and Adam tells them that the baddies have a way to navigate the Labyrinth accurately : clear eyed mortals who are in danger and shiro is all like, we HAVE TO go for them. And it is actually the only plan they have. Anyway, Adam has been with the rogue demigods for some time now and knows a weird lot about their plan, he is totally aware that those are demigods tired of being the pawns of the gods and after his field trip to tartarus he honestly sees why.  of course shiro and hunk tell him , about the Romans and about mt othrys  and how Kronos is gaining power from the rogue demigods and more monsters and titans and everything is marching destroying any minor deity or nature spirit who is on the God’s side and how even then…the god’s have been silent. surprising no one.

Allura Lance and Pige arrive to the place the monster are marching to inside the labyrinth: It is an Arena and they recognise it as Shiro’s gladiator arena and MMMM they are starting to also see rogue demigods and minor deities and things are starting to get dangerous but they can’t turn back or they get more attention than they want so they go inside the arena where everyone is  reuniting for something and trusting the mist to do its job BUT before getting in they get spotted by a girl in a cell: She tells them how weird is to see a purple shirt (Allura) with two orange shirts (Lance and Pidge) and even more that they are disguising themselves. The girl looks like she has been in the cell for LONG time: Surprise it is Shay, (a clear eyed mortal) but they couldn’t open it at all so they moving inside the arena for what seems a BIG meeting promising her they are coming back for her.

MEANWHILE, Keith finds himself in the door with the answers. He is now in a warehouse in the middle of a meeting. Of several romans. Who are now looking at him like he just insulted them and their mothers. And They are all “noooo this cant be that door was enchanted” and keith is all “YOU ARE MY ANSWER? WHO THE F ARE YOU ALL? WHERE IS JANUS?” They are seeing a young demigods with a CHB shirt  wielding an imperial gold clearly roman sword ready to fight. Not Normal at all. And a clearly old guy with a scar in one eye and the BOSS  is all “kid, you are a roman” . Things start computing in his head the coin, the weird way he was able to find SHiro, his past encounter with Janus… but keith goes “I am a son of Ares” From the group of romans a woman calls his name: “…Keith?” and… that is when Krolia appears.

Reunion Time! Krolia is a Janus Legacy and went to Camp Jupiter back in the day, this group is an Olden Elite Roman Secret Group part of the old Preatorian Guard, who never ceased to exist and that has been moving parallel to Camp Jupiter for centuries. They are the Speculatores Augusti, dedicated mostly to avoid the secret of the existence of the romans demigods to go out there  and keeping the roman problems…roman, it is like a legend inside camp jupiter but they still exist in the shadows. and right now they are trying to calm this nonsense. They Know about Lotor, and they know that the plan is to turn demigods away from the gods and that it would revive Kronos.

Some Backstory:

Krolia is not a demigod directly, she is a Legacy but an incredible good fighter and then she got with Ares. Krolia met Texas after being pregnant with Keith. (insert here an incident Texas going all, wow pregnant lady you alright?) And wao, they hit it off really, enough to Krolia consider to have a mortal normal life…normal as it could be. And Keith was born and they were a family for little time but then rumors started about Kronos awakening slowly  and that Keith would be in the middle of the THAT war and that the Romans where starting to not hear from the gods and suddenly it all started to be more than rumors so she decided to leave them and try to stop whatever was happening from inside. And she left them with  a janus coin so he could know something about his roots and , making texas promise he wouldn’t let keith go to any of the camps and Texas was like OKAY but he died when Keith was 10 or something and Keith ended up in camp Half blood anyway…. And she didn’t know until this moment when her son was in front of her and now she knows texas is dead and everything is a little bit too sad.

Keith tells them what he knows from his quest, about shiro about the arena about allura about the rogue demigods and about the other good demigods working with Matt he is basically full of good info and it gave them the ultimate details to do finish their STRIKE the  that has to be ASAP before that whole army marches to mt Othrys  and puts in danger the entire world. And Keith is like….but for Kronos to gain all his power he will need more time…that is what Matt said. And they explain that the one danger in Mount Ostrys is no other than Atlas himself and if someone takes the sky from him The General of Kronos would be Free and that would mean The End. 

And that is how the entire secret roman group Keith is now part of goes to the place where the big army is reuniting: The Arena (btw this is the group that has Ariadne’s String and that’s how they can use the Labyrinth )

THEN

We have the three groups all reuniting in the same place.Adam Hunk and Shiro want to rescue the innocent mortals Allura Lance and Pidge are there to know what the in the hades is going onKeith is there with the Speculatores to stop the armyThe monsters are all ready to  part and in the podium there are Titans are guiding the army and some demigods allura recognises as ex- roman campers, and they say the found a way to navigate the labyrinth and that they are going to san francisco immediately to liberate their general and to meet with the Romans who are also tired of the god’s nonsense, between the horrible noises monsters did in agreement. Allura is seeing how this only could be possible with the help of someone INSIDE camp Jupiter but she doesnt want it to be Lotor. and asks herself why Reah didn’t say anything when she send Allura to CHB. Lance and Pidge see that the mist is really wearing off and that Allura is tired to the bone so they start to head to the exit but it is cramped with monsters, and a random demigod spots Lance and they are in REAL problems now that the baddies are have seen him, but not…them SO…..Lance does the sensible thing and tells Pidge that it is important to get Allura to Camp Jupiter and he directs the attention to himself. 

 Adam Shiro and Hunk are using a moment when all the baddies are distracted with something to open the cells of the mortals (thanks lock picking  Adam abilities via hermes) and they get to Shay, she tells them that Allura Lance and Pidge are there..NOw the monsters being distracted and furious make sense and it is horrifying . SHiro jumps to go to look for them despise Adam telling him to wait that he feels something is Not Right and he is getting really frustrated with shiro because of his hero complex and there is when HUnk tells Adam that probably is because Shiro  has more of a survivors complex since the moment he arrived to camp half blood without them, that probably even when he was in the arena he felt more lucky than matt and  him since he was alive. Adam is like, damn him, and HUnk is like MAYHAPS if you too talked you could get somewhere YOU KNOW, being under heavy circumstances can really make anyone  have a crooked perspective and that it is what always happens with old machines that often people dont know it but they work like that too. and you just have to be kind and  work with that new perspective to be able to see the present and what is happening and not what it is supposed to be happening. 

Shiro finds Pidge and Allura first and send them to where adam and hunk are close to the cells, and Pidge tells him that Lance did probably the most stupid thing ever  but there is a WALL of monsters and is being really difficult to get to where Lance is and curses his entire existence for being underground and not having the space for flying or lightening or nothing and he feels USELESS AF

Keith is with his new roman secret organisation intending to work again from the shadows, after hearing the plan or the army heading to mt othrys the plan to take as many monsters down right there right then is the best. They plan to blow the  arena and send the majority of monsters direct to tartarus or some pit deep down. But then, there is the shift in the monsters attention and when Keith and others go to investigate from one of the upper levels of the tribune before, you know, blowing the whole thing up. From there…He sees is mother fucking Lance and his heart stops or beats faster…Lance is alone  surrounded by so many monsters that it is ridiculous and holding a number lance is in “who wants to go against ME first uh? maybe this is the lucky day any of you get to kill a beautiful son of Aphrodite OR maybe I could kill you?? who knows!!”and “That telekhine thinks he is better than all the empousai look at him! he is gonna strike first! are the empousai so weak they are gonna let him win? really?”and pinning the  monsters against each other and it is ridiculous and charming  but over all dangerous because it is obvious to Keith Lance could not go if 3 or more of the monster decided to attack together. So he tells the other speculators to wait 5 minutes so he can save Lance, they say 1 or they might miss the opportunity to blow the most important titans.  So that is the best he can get. Keith starts going down to the arena where Lance is, resolved to his bones to WIN and pulverise anything that dares harm his… friend

Lance has been streaking of with his bow any monster who is falling for his taunt and pinning some of them against each other but arrows are limited and he lost his sword back with the Kampe. Monsters seem to be picking up that too because the circle is getting tighter and there is no way out but if he is going down he is going down fighting. Keith gets to him 

-queue to some serious Ares Blessing Moment-

 Lance shoots his last  two arrows and starts hitting monsters with his bow …and then Keith is in front of him , red glow around him and practically…invincible. Lance is half jealous, but also half in awe. Keith is more than a natural wielding not one but two swords (his spatha and a new golden gladius) (was that even possible??) The monsters who were all focused in Lance didn’t see Keith coming at them Keith passed him his spatha in the middle of the fight and it was even better than when they were sparring at camp. They didn’t need words to know what to do and they were holding it well against the monsters and it felt that, at that rhythm two demigods did had an opportunity to come out alive. A second later shiro’s metal arm appeared harming  a monster, and Keith just yells at shiro “The floor!” and takes lance, holds on to shiro and BAM-

There is no more floor! the explosion takes half of the Arena , many monsters start falling and shiro is concentrating the entire power he is channelling from the very deep of his gut into not letting these two demigods and himself fall with the rest of the confused monsters. The explosion gave him enough wind to fly a bit and it is the best he has felt since entering the damned labyrinth. And soon gets them to their even larger group.

- NOW they are all reunited!

They are all happy to be reunited again, but it is Big Awkward tm. Lance was SO close of dying so many times it stopped making sense, Keith  is a roman Legacy,Adam is alive but spend a weird amount of time on tartarus and then with the baddies and that mess up any demigod,  shiro and him have a silent treatment going (weighted by all  the things they want to say to to each other that have been accumulating for they time apart) Allura is a bit heartbroken and confused because everything she knows is going down, Pidge literally let Lance distract the monsters because it was the only logical thing to do but he is also her friend and it was…not a good decision and she knows it. And Hunk, the Hephaestus child is trying his hardest in keeping them going somewhere. while taking the rescued mortals out of the labyrinth.So they head to the next exit they find to regroup and think what they are going to do.

Allura met the boss speculators augusti, Kolivan , and she is shocked something so secret has been running alongside her camp for so long…but she is relieved not all romans are on the bad side and gives her hope that camp jupiter has survived so many things They tell her to not open suspicion to lotor when they get to san francisco…so they have more of an element of surprise to defeat him.The Roman BoM is down to closing any doors from inside the labyrinth, rescue any other mortal that could be helping the army and Get to camp mt othrys, after all they have ariadne;s string to navigate that hellhole.

Lance is decided to follow Pidge advice and reallt talk to Keith, after all they were working well together, it has been a life or death situation but somehow it felt just right , being with keith, fighting side by side, it felt like they could do anything.

“Hey man…Thanks for saving m- “and keith interrupts him angry and welp, that is so not what lance was expecting “are you insane? WHAT? what the fuck where you thinking, are you a martyr? do you have a death wish? if you ever get in some stupid situation like that again I….” and keith shuts up but Lance follows anyway, “you what? and keith is not even surprised it all ended up badly he knows the demigod way and it is that for every good thing that happens, something worse is coming: adam is alive - he seems like he’s seen death, he found the truth about himself - the romans are this close on bringing Kronos back, he gets close to lance fighting side by side - apparently lance hates him, SO…ketith decides to go with his mom , “after all adma is here, you are six now for the quest , and…we will find each other again at mt othrys or camp jupiter”  he tells them 

And the guy just…LEAVES. everyone is a like “don’t be a stranger, see yah soon,  BYEEEE” well, Keith found his family his entire legacy thing so…they  show all the support they can . BUt Lance, he cant believe Keith is quitting! now that is betrayal even so…he was the one who tell Keith to leave(him alone).

Keith disappears through the labyrinth with his mom and the Speculatores and the rest of the team is left to get to camp Jupiter and try to stop Lotor  before Kronos Army gets to Mount Othrys and free the titan Atlas.

Echo doesn’t have any official titles, and isn’t really planning on getting any, unless Champion of Sune counts?

4. What is their relationship with their parents? What’s a good and bad memory with them? Did they know both parents?

Echo has a very good relationship with her moms! To their knowledge, things were a bit tense after leaving Ivydome, but plenty of letters and visiting when they could helped with smoothing over their relationship. A good memory would be when her moms taught Echo how to bake! They can really only bake cupcakes and cookies but theyre like. Hella good ones. They dont really have any bad memories with/of their parents, since like. They will forcibly forget or repress anything that upsets them, as long as it only affected them. If the memory is something bad that affected others it will linger for however long Echo deems necessary(read: an extremely long time)

6. What were they like at school? Did they enjoy it? Did they finish? What level of higher education did they reach? What subjects did they enjoy? Which did they hate?

They were there and graduated fantasy high school what more do you want from them jkdxxjndk.  They started working at the local sweets shop after school, so no higher level of education here! They like history a bit, but that’s about it tbh!

Yes! Echo had a pet cat back at Ivydome with her moms, and before the campaign she didn’t really have the money to keep another, so they settled for feeding and playing with the stray cats in Summervale.

Hmmm, Echo doesn’t mind children?? but there’s only so long they can be around them before she gets overwhelmed. Children like them well enough since Echo is always up for playing songs or messing around with cantrips. Echo would be the fun parent/godparent/babysitter, but. Please dont make them look after children they dont want any.

14. Do they have any specific memories of food/a restaurant/meal?

Their first cake made without supervision was. A disaster to put it lightly since someone was feeling ambitious.(it turned out like rubber and after that he was too flustered n frustrated to focus so everything else turned out badly too) So they dont bother with that anymore! Cake mistakes who i dont know her sdkjjkdbs. So half the time they pass by anything with some type of airy sponge cake they cringe lololol

16. Do they collect anything? What do they do with it? Where do they keep it?

She had a rock and shiny things collection back at Summervale! They’re mostly for decoration, although some with certain textures are used for stimming. Some rocks are kept on shelves, but most are stored in cool jars to save space

Echo is a sucker for romance novels and fun, upbeat music! Idk if video games, films, or video games exist in-universe, but if they did, they’d like dramas and baking shows, rpgs, and more character focused games like nitw

They love music, and they’d like musicals too! They will grab their lute and play along if their favorite song came on, and if nobody was around then maybe they’d sing too. Maybe. 

22. What are their favourite insults to use? What do they insult people for? Or do they prefer to bitch behind someone’s back?

tbh their go-to insult is calling someone a prick or a bastard, and it’s usually for whenever someone’s done something particularly scummy. Or if someone is just. The Absolute Worst. It’s a leftover habit from when they used to live in Ivydome, but Echo usually sticks to talking shit when the target is. Very far away/not in the area.

24. What is their sleeping pattern like? Do they snore? What do they like to sleep on? A soft or hard mattress?

They try and get around six hours, to varying success, and to their knowledge they dont snore! Echo loves soft things and would prefer to sleep on a soft mattress with So Many blankets and pillows and maybe a cuddle buddy

26. How do they act when they’re happy? Do they sing? Dance? Hum? Or do they hide their emotions?

Fun fact echo does a tounge blep when she’s happy!! They tend to do lil happy claps and bounce up and down in place when they’re really excited, but when it’s a more calm-type of happy he purrs loudly and smiles a lot more than usual! 

28. What is their biggest fear? What in general scares them? How do they act when they’re scared?

He’s claustrophobic and is terrified of being alone again or having to leave people behind even when the situation calls for it. So like. He aint copin too well after the last session! They get very flustered and panicked and freeze when theyre scared

Does going on champion quests and running from his problems count as exercise or???

Crop tops with long sleeves, shorts, and boots make up most of their wardrobe and they love it. Theyd go to like the fantasy equivalent of marshalls i think? Somewhere with good deals and a lot of options. Overlarge shirts, tank top crop tops, and more shorts make up their pjs. They dont really wear makeup, mostly bc they touch their face a lot and it feels weird the whole time, but they wouldnt be opposed to wear a lil bit every now and then! Their hair is floofy and a bit of a controlled mess since they cut it themselves

34. What is their body type? How tall are they? Do they like their body?

Echo is 5’9”/ 175.26 cm! Theyre on the average side i think? Like theyre not super skinny but not fat either so just. Avergae. And yeah, Echo likes their body, theyre so bright! And their horns are so cute and having a tail is very handy and claw maintenance can be a bit of a pain but like. Aesthetic am i right folks

36. What are they good at? What hobbies do they like? Can they sing?

Hes good at playing the lute and generally being very cute and giving out good vibes, and he likes baking and playing music! They can sing, but really only do that when theyre playing their lute ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Echo admires passion and creativity the most, and dont let anyone from the party know but he wishes he could be just. A bit smarter and know what to say + ask. Theyd also really like to be able to make a decent genoise sponge too like theyre not picky

40. Do they like energy drinks? Coffee? Sugary food? Or can they naturally stay awake and alert?

Theyre a tea drinker all the way, and arent the biggest fan of sweet things. He used to use more tart or mellow flavors when baking. They def arent alert after being tired for a while, and will space out a bit

42. What are their goals? What would they sacrifice anything for? What is their secret ambition?

No secret ambitions here, Echo is an open book(unless they roll high on deception dvdjxb)! Becoming Sune’s champion, making a decent sponge cake, and protecting his friends with his life/in any way they can are all their current goals. Echo doesn’t care too much if they get hurt, so physical well-being and maybe mental are things they wouldn't mind sacrificing, but as a whole they don’t really want to think about what they’d have to give up. He’ll burn that bridge when he gets to it. 

44. What is their favourite season? Type of weather? Are they good in the cold or the heat? What weather do they complain in the most?

If its cold, wet, or humid echo is not a happy camper lol. They prefer summer and the beginning of fall the most, and sunny days with lots of puffy white clouds are the best! They think its fun watching the clouds shadows on the ground. They’re better in hot weather than cold, since clothes for that type of weather are easier to dress for and they dont have to account for their tail or horns as much

46. Do they make a good first impression? Does their first impression reflect them accurately? How do they introduce themselves?

God i hope they make a good first impression im dying over here xjkxdk but honestly it depends! They try to make a good first impression and i think they usually do? But if theyve just finished with a job w the gang or theyre just. So tired they wont really introduce themselves at all.  Its pretty accurate of how they are, and their go-to greeting is “I’m Echo Barquiel, a pleasure to meet you dearie~” 

48. Do they enjoy any parties? If so what kind? Do they organise the party or just turn up? How do they act? What if they didn’t want to go but were dragged along by a friend?

In theory they’d like parties but being around so many people with that much noise for an unknown amount of time would not be. Ideal so smaller get-togethers with friends would be the most enjoyable! Echo doesnt really have the uh, space to host anything so theyd just turn up to other’s parties. Theyd be in a constant state of switching between ‘holy shit im so gay’ and ‘oh my god theres so many people/internal screaming’. If they were dragged to a party, theyd mingle for a leelte bit before stepping out

 i’m gonna tuck this under a cut bc it got pretty long ^^;

before becoming a grey warden she was pretty pragmatic and down to earth (if incredibly stubborn) and got paired off w/ tamlen a lot bc her “hold up there buddy” personality really reined in his impulsive, very burst-of-energy personality. after the eluvian shit and becoming a grey warden she’s really different bc she’s dealing with the guilt of thinking she killed tamlen and had to leave her clan bc of it so she’s very… quiet and angry and upset all the time, snappish, drags her heels because she REALLY doesn’t want to be with a bunch of humans saving the world, especially when it gets into like the politics of redcliffe, she just wants to go back to her family. after the tamlen ambush (really reopening some wounds there for her bc she found out she not only didn’t originally get him killed but he turned into a ghoul and then she really DID have to kill him) and seeing his ghostie again during the urn of sacred ashes, she kind of starts finally burying him in her heart and working towards getting over her grief–and starts becoming a regular person again (albeit more irascible and withdrawn than she used to be) w/ zevran’s help

post blight!! she’s a lot better. between the end of da:o and the beginning of da:a she and zev are hanging out together bc he still considers himself her man, w/o reservation, and also they both have massive crushes on each other. their romance starts during this weird limbo period… 

as for falling in love, zevran is the first person lyna starts opening up to after the urn of sacred ashes quest–during the time before that (from ostagar up until) she hadn’t taken care of herself at all bc she was just so miserable and angry all the time, so she goes to him for help bc he’s 1) the only other elf in camp (and she’s pretty.. biased against humans) and 2) he spends more time on his appearance than basically everyone else in the camp combined. anyways. she’s mortified at asking him at all bc she hates asking other people for help but they go off to a nearby river and he cuts out all the mats and snarls in her hair and then washes it multiple times for her with his nice soap and combs it all out until its nice and braids it for her… and after that he braids her hair almost every day. if her hair looks nice in anything i draw or write its because zev did it for her lol

it was a really gradual thing and i think lyna had feelings for zev before he had feelings for her. for her it started with how he respected her boundaries, especially when she was grieving–and it was really significant for her since he had like, been hired to kill her and everything. also him being really hot didn’t hurt. & then when she went to him for help he just like, immediately went to help her and didn’t tease her TOO much about it. it was a very slow thing built up through a lot of long conversations and many, many mornings of him combing her hair for her. 

on zev’s side i can’t.. imagine he was actually interested at her in all at first. she literally looked like a walking tornado half the time, and she gave off huge warning vibes all the time. he still flirted with her a lot anyways because like, that’s what zev does, and he spends basically the entirety of the blight expecting her to knife him over some minor argument but his feelings started to change during the taliesin fight–lyna deliberately moves between him and taliesin and leaves her back open to him and zev’s like, oh, shit, this is intense, she really trusts me, bc she’s giving him a VERY obvious opportunity to shank her and just the sheer amount of trust she’s putting in him is nuts in his opinion. after that everything goes downhill and he develops Feelings for this Girl, who is no longer a walking tornado because he makes her look nice

in their actual relationship: 

lyna loves that when zev walks into a room, it feels like everything is brighter, like everything is better. she loves that when she’s in a shitty mood he can immediately sweep her out of it by pulling her into his arms and covering her in kisses and making stupid jokes that still make her laugh even though they’re DUMB. she loves that he stays with her, even when she asks him to do awful, awful things like go back to Ferelden in the middle of winter–and she loves the sad puppy dog eyes he gives her when she asks him lol. she loves the way he buries his face into the crook of her neck and shoves his cold toes under her when they’re trying to sleep, and the way he’ll stroke her hair and tell her how strong she is when she’s having an awful nightmare.

zev loves her strength and the way she gets shit done and digs her heels in until she gets the result that she WANTS. he loves that she does what her heart tells her to do even when its something fucking stupid (”lyna why did you stab that guy” “idk i just felt like it needed to be done”). he loves the way that she smiles when he makes a particularly bad joke–just a little quirk of her lips bc she’s trying to hide that she actually found it funny. and he loves the thought that she puts into things–the little designs she embroiders on the hems of all of his shirts, the making sure that they have enough warm blankets and coats because she knows he gets cold so easily, the nice antivan wines she buys for dinner even though he knows she hates the taste. he really loves the elvish songs she sings to him when she thinks he’s asleep

mephis is certain like a mix of Mediterranean and middle eastern or even north african as far as realism goes ofc these cultures are called sth else in this au theyre a small but old tribe descended from prophets and mephis inherited a special intuition and insight just from that alone, so he puts it to use via being a fortune teller at the present and he accomplishes this via the actual definition of geomancy which is divination using rocks or the earth... its actually more specific in practice bc i think real geomancy involves throwing rocks and like sigils but i use the term very loosely

anyway his people are of the earth and very attuned to it and are basically a dying breed bc of systematic persecution bc theyre considered nasty pagans that dont worship the Main Religion but they are safer in some countries than others

theres been more or less a diaspora of his kind probably bc of some big bad event so mephis has spent a good portion of his life traveling and making a living and running away from people who wanna persecute him. but hes also like. specialer. bc in his quest for more insight he sought out a legendary artifact known as the philosopher's stone. and not only that but he found it or at least a portion of it. he cant remember exactly what happened when he did but after touching the artifact he lost most of his vision and - this is me working in his design's heterochromia so dont laugh bc its cheesy -one of his eyes changed color. im thinking the stone embedded itself in his eye

but in exchange his insight and cognitive abilities were greatly enhanced still he doesnt want to be all like OHOHO LOOK AT THIS NEWFOUND POWER I HAVE! because he is trying his best not to be killed for being different

so he mostly lives the same way he always has while working on the side to learn more about the effects of the stone and what secrets it has .. and the secrets it can help him uncover... i believe... legend has it that the stone was actually stolen from faekin, with which ancient delphinites had a unique and close bond with... it could be of fae origin anyway he has a lot of lore im thinking about and like his overarching ... storyline might end up with him developing an obsession with recovering the full stone and learning the knowledge of the gods... he is highkey invested in doing this and... hes almost knowledge hungry to a fault he seems very nice and sociable which he honestly very much is but... within his own mind he subconsciously looks down on other people and believes he was chosen by the stone for a reason.... if you leave him alone too long without socializing with Normal People he goes off the deep end with his rock obsession otherwise hes VERY pleasant to be around if a bit... sassy and cocky LOL its hard to describe his personality bc he is very sweet and perfectly lovely company to keep... but there is something almost cold and calculating about him too, almost sinister (edited) man this is like.. very awful because the fae might be trying to recover fragments of the philosopher's stone and mephis will not give his up... in fact he might try to outwit the fae and get the other fragments they have
