I hate(medium) this question but i also think its kinda funny

Its more or less a long series of doing things on a whim.

Im generally very reluctant to spend my own money but on this one random occasion i decided i wanted to buy a rubber bath duck, just for fun. And it was cool, then a few days later while i was watching my mum play Minecraft (something i did often) i wanted to make my little duck be fancy, so i started cutting and taping some paper and i made my duck a little jacket, bowtie, and tophat, thus duck-in-a-suit.

A week or two after that i was making my discord account and i couldn’t decide on a username, and on a whim again remembered my little ducky and named my account after it and made my pfp a pic of it too. So when i joined a server and started talking to people obviously it got shortened and it just kinda stuck and it became the name i used in other placed even if the username didn’t match. I just got attached to it, i even have a few irl friends who call me Duck and its cool.

Theres also a part in the middle where in True Duck Style i committed very hard to the bit and started collecting rubber ducks, i had so many rubber ducks and i still do have heaps. I also had a ‚bit‘ for a few weeks where i would keep a duck in my jacket pocket and pull it out mid conversation and hood it up inbetween the people talking without drawing attention and see how long it took people to notice.

Minghao has become quite the fitness buff within the past few years

I remember Minghao once said that it is super hard for him to gain muscle and look at him now ughhh

and seeing you succeed with your fitness goals makes Minghao even more proud

going to the gym is like breathing for you guys

you two always go to the gym together

and since you're with Minghao, every occasion has to be a fashion statement

you two are always wearing the coolest, trendiest, gym clothes that still manage to be uniquely your styles

(i love playing with various branches of scarebat inside my head. even if it's one-note idea. but in this current bit, i was thinking about a core view on certain things, that most of their versions have in common. mainly the difference between jon's n' bruce's outlooks on how they picture 'ideal' encounter between one another. or more so, what the best outcome of it might be. what their 'great end game might look like.

bruce *for the most part* wants to believe in reabilitation. in a change for the better. it's possible to tame n' domesticate a wild crow. it might not change its habbits fully, but it's possible to make the bird less harmful *to smaller animals as they do feed on them* by keeping it happy and fed. by nurturing it into state, where it'll be mostly comfy with getting food by less extreme means. n' where it might trust you to not to harm it or stop giving it food. while, i view this set-up from a perspective of a shipper, i also can see gen approach here as well. mostly, bc i don't think that bruce would have ever left any of his *potentially ex* rogues fully unsurpivised. esp someone with history like crane's. batman is too much of a control freak to not peak into his villain's personal affairs, even if just to make sure, that they haven't went back to crime. him befriending / having a chance to impose influence on a troubled, malevolent 'crow via smth other, than use of force would have been a nice change of pace. batman is pragmatic, but i love how he doesn't ever fully dismiss the idea of 'what if', n' desire to see his rogues improving themselves. but at the same time, usually, he's the one who puts said crow back into cage *arkham*, so there is that too. he wants to do the right thing, but the bird keeps glaring at him through the narrow bars, bc it doesn't get why must it be caged for hurting n' killing other animals, when they *totally* picked on it first.

now, jon would have almost an oposite view of this, i imagine. where bruce can picture a second variant, another *brighter* path, crane kinda just cannot do the same. from his pov, there is no way for batman to ever become a villain. somebody who would team up with him. so they can't be 'together' this way. there is also no way for crane to ever get onto batman's level. esp bc he doesn't want *can't* change this drastically. therefore, the only way to keep the bat in his possession is to lock it up, trap it n' hold it in a little metalic box. hide it inside his basement, bc so many other people would love to have the bat too. he doesn't want to clip its wings, but part of him is paranoid enough to consider it. he has no idea how else to make a wild bat stay. it doesn't listen to him, like his birds do. but crane will take good care of it, anyway. make it dependent on him. caged by him, n' no one else can steal it away this time.

maybe, this reads as gibberish to some, but i really love how both bruce n' jonathan have animal analog / name in their aliases. bruce's is more apperent, bc well, batman lol. he even dress up as this. crane's case is more subtitle, but still, the scarecrow. even if he supposed to scare said birds away, he keeps them as pets as offten as we see bats hanging inside bruce's herocave lol. those animals also suit their personalities to a degree. the only other animal, that i can see crane as be a possum lol. sharp teeth, always hissing, long rat tail, but despite the ragged apperance, they are the only mamal that cannot get rabies bc of their body temperature, even tho by looking at it, you'd think that it surely would have that disease, haha. that's kinda very crane. he tends to subvert expectations, but in a strange ways.

an' well, where bruce can step down to extremes, n' i don't mean putting crane's scawny ass back into asylum, i mean also consider other methods of keeping him declawed. including trapping him inside his cave / basement. still, i feel like for jon's those said extremes are default line of thinking. socially inept, distrustful n' lonely, it would make sense for him to assume, that he can only co-exist with batman, if he will lock him up n' be the only one, who has a key to his prison. generally, it always seems that while jon's views on things n' his way of persiving / feeling affection are twisted, it's also pretty sad too. technically, he doesn't have any frame of referance here. of affection, that is returned n' not played as a joke at his expense. an' being humilated by the bat in such manner would sting way harder, than his high school crush rejecting him. he'd also would have that yandere u-turn. but not in like 'if i can't have you none one has'. more like 'i really want to have you, so i'd do every terrible thing in the book to make it possible'. well, almost 'every'. i feel like there be things, that jonathan *most versions of him, anyways* just kinda won't do. he does have some class, after all.

overall tho, i do love jon as that needy 'creep' archetype *which is pretty much a canon in old comics too*, who would kidnap / do awful things to a guy he likes, simply bc he has no idea what else he can do with him. at most times, he's that meme of 'idk how to hit on him, so he has to die'. meanwhile, bruce thinks that if you feed a stray bird enough, it might consider staying or well, not being as troublesome as it usually is.

in some timelines, this even might work out, who knows.

less so jonathan's side of things, since i feel like he would end up screwing his own plan over. i even have a lil drafty thing for a fic with similar premise, but it's for some other time. atm. just lil art, while i'm working on bigger things, haha. gotta store all these bits / concepts somewhere, so that i don't forget that they exist.)

Wench: Nope.  To be honest, it's really unwise for him to kill the King.  For one thing, a lot of his power comes from his relationship with that specific King.  First, I think a new king could unseat him as First Minister (though I'm not fully sure).  But also, Louis is easily manipulated, whereas another king might not be.  Also, more importantly, there technically isn't another King.  That's a bit problem in this season, in fact; kingship passes on by bloodline, but Louis/Anne don't have a son, so, if Louis dies, succession is a serious issue.  All in all, the Cardinal Does Not Want the king to die

Wench: Yeah... he's not really bad.  In general, I mean?  He's pretty true neutral, actually.

Jezebel: Minus killing the woman

Wench: No, even then… That doesn’t automatically rule out true neutral.  True neutral means that you don't really care if you're following the law or not, if you're being good or bad; it's a pretty self-centered stance, at least in my experience.  He really does care about the state staying preserved/not dissolving into chaos… but his perception of what's good for the state governs his actions.  And his personal goals center around his own power/influence.  In his eyes, Adele betrayed him; thus he harms her.  In his eyes, tearing down the king's guard by framing Athos is good because that leaves the king more reliant on him, so he can ensure that the state progresses according to what he thinks is right (and he gets more power).  He's highly neutral.  So you'll have episodes like the last episode where he's the villain, and episodes like this one where he's working to protect the king.  Even the most villainous Richelieu gets?  He's still not really... evil (still in D&D terms).  He's acting the way he thinks his best for him/France.  Whether it's true or not is a separate question, but yeah.  He doesn't really care what he has to do to achieve those goals, so he's not actively trying to make the world better/worse.  He manipulates the system, but breaks the law whenever the reward outweighs the risk.  He's trying to preserve himself, and France by extension.

you know what ? im gonna write the basic plot for soogas backstory here now too-

- his parents were both sheikah soldiers serving the royal family, they were nearly never home so he barely even knew them and was pretty much living on his own from a young age on

- they both died while on a mission far away, but that didnt change much for him other than him having to find a way to earn money himself now

- when he was a teenager he was recruited by the royal family (he wanted to tho) which is also where he met Hibiki (my only real zelda Oc .. sorry gotta involve them now- this is how they look, although they are older here than when sooga first met them

i think i forgot to post this on tumblr lmao; anyway they are an artist and a bit older than sooga)

- since they were both outcasts with no relatives that cared about them they quickly became friends (tho it was def more one sided at first bc Hibiki is a way more extroverted ) tho Hibiki has been a bit longer in the army so they rarely went on missions together and only hung out during breaks or when they had both time off

- even after years of training they both stayed in the lower ranks of the army and never managed to climb to a higher one, part of the reason was that Hibiki didnt do a good job of being a spy, not bc they were detected, they just never had much information to report for some reason and Sooga always defended them when they got bullied by higher ups for it (you know how he threatens ppl) which in turn made him less liked and got him almost kicked out once (and yes, Hibiki did have a crush on Sooga but he never realized that even tho they made it REALLY obvious)

- you know the story how link got appointed as zeldas bodyguard ? with him deflecting a laser from a malfunctioning guardian to protect the princess ? yeah, so in my hc, while he did deflect it it didnt straight up hit the guardian back but rather was simply redirected and although Hibiki tried to pull Sooga away it still hit the left side of his face which is how he got that big af scar and lost his eye

- he survived and of course Hibiki was there to take care of him whenever they could, but the more time went on while he recovered it was made clear that the higher ups wanted to kick him out of the army after his wound healed bc they didnt think he was fit to fight anymore missing an eye (thats what they said but it was pretty obvious they just wanted a reason to get rid of him) 

- Hibiki reassured Sooga they would do everything they could to convince them otherwise bc they knew that all he ever wanted to do is be a strong and respected soldier serving the royal family, but who would listen to the worst spy in the whole army .. he got kicked out anyway of course and was forced to work as a farmer (more like help other farmers really) 

- from then on Hibiki was trying to be a better spy, so they could earn enough respect to maybe get the army to welcome Sooga back into their ranks

- but one day when Sooga returned from some field work he noticed a new grave at the corner of the village, and asked who died, it took some time for him to find out it was Hibiki who fell in battle bc after they left the village they never returned so the other villagers forgot even their name, the army brought their body back into the village since they were borne there and didnt have any living relatives

- that was what pushed his resentment for the kingdom and the other sheikah over the edge really, he stole some ancient hidden away sheikah scrolls from the elder of the village and used them to teach himself some techniques ... or at least TRIED to, the only one he was able to manage was a half functional clone, which he used to fake his death and live a live in the shadows, staying away from settlements out of fear of beign recognized

- he made his way into the gerudo desert where he never went to before, and in a cold night snuk undetected into the yiga hideout in the search for shelter since he wasnt equipped for that kind o extreme weather .. tho he didnt realize what he just did

- in the morning he was found after all and, understandably, attacked bc wth how did that guy even get in here ?? after he managed to survive for pretty long given the circumstances, he tried to flee but was stopped by master kohga himself, and while kohga was monologing about .. stuff, Sooga realized this might be his chance to live a proper life again and that pretty close to what he always wanted, so he promptly asks to join them

- positively surprised kohga of course cant just accept him into the clan like that, i mean Sooga was wearing sheikah clothing and got UNDETECTED into their hideout and took a nap there for several hours before being found, thats suspicious as hell

- after being put through several tests and challanges he is accepted into the clan after all-

- now fast forward post calamity (just a few years tho) the topic of Soogas origins comes up and he tells kohga alot but is interrupted bc koh ask him if the friend he was talking about was “a kinda weird artist” ... turns out Hibiki died in a clash with the yiga clan and ... was killed by kohga himself.

- Hibiki always carried a sketchbook in a bag around with them, and the clan took it after their death bc they thought it might contain useful info, it didnt, but since the sketches in it where pretty good they kept it anyway even if it was only half readable since it got soaked in blood

- that is a reveal that tested soogas loyalty to the clan like nothing else could (everyone in the clan including kohga, was expecting him to turn against them again, but were still waiting for him to actually betray the clan)

- sooga didnt turn on them tho, reason was, he managed to seperate the pages of the sketchbook that were stuck together from blood and discovered finely detailed art of the hideout, of its interior too and even of kohga as well

- Hibiki never had much info to tell their superiors bc they snuk around the hideout when on a mission but never with the goal to rat the clan out. they secretly admired kohga and the clan, even wanted to join them for a long time, but never got to do it bc they didnt want to leave Sooga behind but also .. they were afraid to tell him bc he was so focused on becoming a good sheikah soldier they were sure he wouldnt feel the same; they were torn between wanting to join the yiga but afraid of destroying their friendship with sooga ..

when they got into that fatal fight with the clan, kohga didnt even attack them with the intend to kill and they could have easily dodged or parried the hit, the reason they didnt was, ironically, bc they were so stunned by admiration of seeing their idol right in front of them they didnt move a muscle until it was too late...

this got longer than i thought, maybe i went into too much detail here, but anyway this is a summary of the backstory i came up with for Sooga, it doesnt end here tho, this is more like the story of how sooga became part of the yiga; after all of this comes alot more tho it wouldnt make much sense to add that here too xD

hello join me in thinking about some books and authors that are, or might be, part of s5′s intertextuality

5.10 in particular offered specific shout outs, and also u know i’m always wondering what might be ahead so i have some ideas on that:

- first, as mentioned in a previous ask post, i know i wasn’t alone in keeping an eye out for 5.10 parallels to the lost weekend (1945) the film that gave episode 1.10 its name and several themes - or to the 1944 book by charles r jackson which the film is based on

- s5 has not been shy about revisiting earlier seasons, especially s1. altho i feel that 1.10′s parallels to the lost weekend centered characters other than jughead (mostly betty), a 1.10-5.10 connection involving jughead and themes from jackson’s story (addiction, writers block, self reflection) seemed v possible if not inevitable

- but like,, , for a hot minute after the ep, i was really stumped on understanding how anything from the book or film could apply, even tho the pieces were almost all there

- jackson’s protagonist don birnam goes thru and comes out the other side of a harrowing days-long drinking binge that could be compared to jughead’s one-night hallucinogenic writing retreat

- but jughead is struggling primarily with traumatic memories, not addiction and self control like birnam. and tho drinking activates birnam’s creativity, it paralyzes his writing as he gets lost in fantasies; he’s never published anything. jughead’s drug trip recreates circumstances that already helped him write one successful book. even the rat that startles him mid-high doesn’t line up with birnam’s withdrawal vision of a dying mouse, symbolic of his horror at his own self-destruction thru alcohol

- and maybe the most visible discordance: in the film there’s a romantic motif around a typewriter. first it’s an object of shame; birnam’s failure to write, tied up with his drinking, makes him flee his relationship. he tries to pawn the typewriter for booze money and finally a gun when shooting himself feels easier than getting sober. but with the help of relentless encouragement from girlfriend helen, he quits drinking, commits to her, and focuses on typing out the story he’s dreamt of writing. rd goes so far to avoid setting any comparable scenario that jughead has brought a wholeass printer into the bunker so there can still be a physical manuscript to cover in blood by the end, even without his own typewriter. the subtle detail of his laptop bg image is a little less noticeable than his avoidance of betty’s gift

- tabitha might be closer to a parallel than jughead is, but she’s still no helen. both refuse to take advantage of the inebriated men in their care, but birnam takes advantage of helen, financially and emotionally. jughead refused a loan from the tate family and now has resolved to deal with his shit before he considers a relationship with tabitha. instead of helen’s relentless and unwelcomed attempts to get birnam sober, tabitha reluctantly agrees to help jughead trip safely bondage escape notwithstanding. she even helps him get the drugs.

- whatever potentials exist for parallels to jackson’s story, they were not explored for this episode. ok so why tf am i even talking about this? what was there instead?

-  i have arrived at the point

- s5 has been revisiting s1, not directly but with a twist. and jughead’s agent samm pansky is back. u may recall, pansky is named for sam lansky

- jughead’s trip-thru-trauma is a story device tapped straight from lansky’s book ‘broken people’

- lansky is like if a millenial john rechy wrote extremely LA-flavored meta but just about himself no jk very like a modern successor to charles r jackson. both play with the boundary between memoir and fiction. lansky is gay; jackson wrote his lost weekend counterpart as closeted and remained closeted himself until only a few years before his death. both write with emotional clarity and self-scrutiny on the experiences of addiction, sobriety, and the surrounding issues of shame and self worth

- i feel like a fool bc after this ep i had been thinking about de quincey and his early writings on addiction (c.1800s), but i failed to carry the thought in the other direction, to contemporary writers in the genre, to make this connection sooner

- lansky’s second book, broken people, follows narrator ‘sam’, mid-20s, super depressed, hastled by his agent to write a decent follow-up to his first book, but too busy struggling with his self-worth and baggage from several past relationships. desperate, he takes up an offer to visit a new age shaman who promises to fix everything wrong with him in a matter of days. not to over simplify it but he literally spends a weekend doing psychedelics and hallucinating about his exes. jughead took note

- unless u want me to hurl myself into yet another dissertation about queer jughead, i think his parallel to sam - who, unlike jughead, has considerable financial privilege and whose anxieties center on body dysmorphia, hiv scares, and his own self-centeredness - pretty much ends there

- But,, the gist of the book could not be more harmonius with a major theme shared by the 2 films that inform the actual hallucination part of jughead’s bunker scene: mentally reframing past relationships to get closure + confronting trauma head-on in order to move forward

- so that’s neat. what other book and author stuff was in 5.10?

- stephen king and raymond carver get name dropped. i’m passingly familiar with them both but u bet i just skimmed their wiki bios in case anything relevant jumped out

- like jughead, carver was a student (later a lecturer) at the iowa writers workshop. also the son of an alcoholic and one himself

- i recall carver’s ‘what we talk about when we talk about love’ is what jughead was reading in 2.14 ‘the hills have eyes’ after he finds out about the first time betty kissed archie (at that time he does not respond as would any of carver’s characters)

- this collection of carver stories deals especially with infidelity, failings of communication, and the complexities and destructiveness of love. to unashamedly quote the resource that is course hero, ‘carver renders love as an experience that is inherently violent bc it produces psychic and emotional wounds.’ very fun to wonder about the significance of this collection within the s2 episode and in jughead’s thoughts. and maybe now in the context of the s5 state of relationships. or, at least, the state of jughead’s writing as seen by his agent

- anyway pansky doesn’t want carver, he wants stephen king

- i have too much to say about gerald’s game in 5.10, that’s getting its own post someday soon

- lol wait king’s wife is named tabitha uhhh king’s wiki reminded me of his childhood experience that possibly inspired his short story ‘the body’ (+1986 movie ‘stand by me’) when he ‘apparently witnessed one of his friends being struck and killed by a train tho he has no memory of the event’

- no mention of that in this rd episode but memories of a train could be interesting to consider with the imagery that intrudes on jughead’s hallucination. i still feel like it was a truck but the lights and sounds he experiences may be a train

- ok now we’re in the speculation part of today’s segment

- if jughead’s traumatic memory involves trains, then it’s possible this plot will take influence from la bête humaine <- this 1938 movie is based on the 1890 novel by french writer émile zola. this story deals with alcoholism and possessive jealousy in relationships, sometimes leading to murder. huh, kind of like carver. zola def comes down on the nature side of the nature-vs-nuture bad seed question (tho i should say he approaches this with great or maybe just v french compassion). also i can’t tell if this is me reaching but, something about la bête humaine reminds me of king’s ‘secret window’ which we’ve observed to be at least a style influence on jughead post time jump

- but wow a late-19th century french writer would be a random thing to drop into this season, right? then again zola also wrote about miners, which we’ve learned are an important part of this town’s history + whatever hiram is up to this time.  and most notably, zola wrote ‘j’accuse...!’ an open letter in defense of a soldier falsely accused and unlawfully jailed for treason: alfred dreyfus. archie’s recent army trouble comes to mind.

- since the introduction of old man dreyfuss (plausibly Just a nod to close encounters actor richard dreyfuss, but also when is anything in this show Just one thing) i’ve been wondering if these little things could add up to a season-long reference to zola’s writings. but i had doubts and didn’t want to speak on it too soon bc, u know, it’s weird but is it weird enough for riverdale??

- however,,,

- a24′s film zola just came out. absolutely no relation to the french writer, it’s not based on a book but an insane and explicit twitter thread by aziah ‘zola’ wells about stripping and? human trafficking?? this feels ripe for rd even outside the potentials here for the lonely highway/missing girls plot.

- that would add up to a combination of homage that feels natural to this show

- anyway pls understand i’m just having fun speculating, most of this is based on nothing more concrete than the torturous mental tendril ras has hooked into my skull pls let go ras pls let go

Marshclan

Sorry everyone, I know it's been a while, and I kinda forgot to check my drafts. Here's a long overdue submission through mobile because I'm bored and away from my computer.

it's been a bit since i last submitted forestclan to u (thanks again, as always, for reviewing them it was a big help) and this time i'd like to go over the other clans. they are named marshclan and moorclan (tho i'm also considering hill or prairie as a name for moor but. here is marshclan!

Marshclan 

marshclan lives across the border from forestclan, and they live close to an estuary, and their territory is a freshwater marsh. their camp is located on a small island. Their marshland is a decent size, though not super big. marshclan are comfortable in water, and teach their kits to swim at a young age. drypaws are sometimes looked at funny, and teased playfully (since "you have to get your paws wet some time!" and they do, wading through the water if they can, though usually swimming happens anyway). 

Seems like a good start, and marshes are a great place to hunt and teeming with prey. How does the clan handle heavy periods of rain? Does the camp flood? If so do they have a secondary camp or high ground they retreat to?

marshclan cats have short fur or long fur (not which would aid better in swimming? i feel like they both have benefits so i'm trying to decide). i'm gonna sit down at some point and go through a list of breeds that might fit the aesthetic and go from there (they are primarily moggies, tho)

I've debated the question of shirt vs long as well. It partially depends on the climate of the region, do they have snow and such in winter? How cold is the water on average. Because you could have, say Norwegian Forrest looking cats with their thick double layered fur (which worked well in you know Norway) or you could have cats like Bengals or fisher cats, with shorter thicker fur in a warmer climate where the temperature rarely dropped beneath a certain threshold.

either way, pelt color wise, white spotting is common, dilutes are common as are black-based coats. ginger is rare. thinking about tossing maybe colorpoint in this gene pool but idk yet so we shall see ! 

I've seen a lot of people use cats with high white spotting for water based clans (which isn't bad it's just interesting). I would say that for cats in a Marsh they'd have to blend in well with the reeds and other water plants, because they arent just really fishing anymore, they are catching frogs, stalking birds, scooping out turtles. I would imagine they wouldn't want to stand out too much in the landscape, especially if it's open to the sky and the bigger predator birds, and white would paint kind of a target in that regard. Color points are always interesting, and are generally more common than other recessive genes, though how they would turn our color wise would also depend on climate too.

predators include: minks, opossums, raccoons, some of the bigger wader birds (herons, f.ex) and while not a predator, frogs are not to be eaten. 

I'm curious about the frogs? Why is that?

prey: insects, rats, water voles, mice, birds, some fish, snakes, lizards, and if they can get it, they enjoy eating an egg yolk every now and then.

marshclan is very family orientated, and tend to have close family relations; they enjoy joking with one another and are often viewed as vain, lazy and not taking matters seriously.

theme naming is pretty big here (water themed names and bug themed names are a favorite) and they have named kits after close family members (assuming, of course, the prefix is not already used in the clan at the time of the kitten being born). they are not afraid to get dirty and splashing in the water and such is a fun activity for them, especially in the summer time. while they do keep their pelts clean, it's not uncommon for it to be muddy and such (which earns them a side-eye from forestclan since they're very meticulous about appearances and marsh seems to just.. not care).

I love themed litters it's my favorite thing. At one point I had a clan which would rotate themes for each litter so as to help cut down on the possibility of repeating names. So no two litters within a few seasons of each other had the same theme. But anyway this seems to all fit with the setting quite well. As much as they would want to keep clean, with all the water and much around them it would be hard, probably impossible. I imagine they groom enough to get nasty tangles out during their active day and then do one thorough grooming before settling in their nest. I would at least want my sleeping place clean for sure.

i think that's enough for now, haha. don't wanna overload U with it, just some stuff to show where i'm started on as a base. c: that said, i do think i'm going to also have marsh and moor be matriarchal as well but i'll see how that goes... anyway, hope u like them! they def still need fleshing out i know, and my last clan will be moorclan. thanks again!

Even though its January 14th and new years was 14 days ago i just feel the need to talk about some stuff thats happened. Im not the kind of person to talk about things that happened. I’d rather keep it in and figure it out myself cause i guess I'm just used to it and also its so hard for me to voice out my emotions at some times. I just can never put it into words. 2017 was honestly the hardest year of my life and i know there are people out there who have it way worse but it was pretty shitty. So many things happened. I fell in love with an abusive, angry, self indulged coke head who made me hate myself and made me feel like everything i did in life was stupid. I stopped believing in myself, slacked hella in school, skipped school to basically be his fucking maid. all i did was clean, cook, sleep, drink and repeat this entire cycle. and if he was having a rough day well that just meant that id get yelled at for the tiniest things even if it means us arguing over who could get a can of pop. I guess thats when i stopped caring about everything, my mental health and physical health, my relationship with my family and friends (the 2 friends that i had lol) and my education. I was so lost and confused that I had pretty much given up on everything. I stopped trying to be positive or doing everything with a smile like i usually do. Long story short I had a little slip on june 9th. that was the day when i decided to end everything. fortunately enough i got stopped and long story short i got slapped with a record for trying to call out for help. Instead of saying its okay for wanting everything to stop in life for once, the first thing the psychiatrist told me at 12pm (after being taken in at 4am and being kept there) was that i was slapped with a criminal record. After he said that i guess i just shut down as usual. why the fuck would you consider someone a criminal for trying to kill themselves. Till this day i can't put the pieces together or come up with an idea of why they would do so. yes i had empty blow bags in my wallet and maybe its because i was drinking that night but still it made no sense in my head. It made me feel unimportant and unworthy despite everything that i had just went through. I didn’t talk to anyone for 3 days and funny story even tho i was told to stay away from alcohol my ex and his fam still got drunk and drank around me the entire night. the same night i got out of the hospital. I spent the first night alone because well everyone was partying and I didn't have any good friends to talk to. I lost kalli because i was dating a jerk and i lost kayla well basically because she had a busy life. long story short my parents found out i was lying about doing summer school and i went back to live with them beginning july. i really broke their hearts and my dad didn't talk to me or even look at me for 2 weeks. My dad is a sweetheart and in my 20 years on this planet he has raised his voice at me once and he apologized 30 minutes after. I really hurt them and I guess i waS still to dumb to see how i was still hurting them. i was still with josh the entire summer and i would come home hammered and coked out at 3 in the morning way past my curfew and fight with my parents. it got so bad once to the point where my dad and i got almost got into a physical fight. I was trying to leave the house and he grabbed all my stuff and chucked it. It was a horrible night. that was also the night i came clean to my mom about everything except coke because i don't think i could ever come clean about it. long story short i decided education was what i wanted to do for the rest of my life esp after having a great time during the summer being a summer camp leader. So i went back to kelowna to start year 2 well kinda. I was on probation cause i fucked year 1 up hard. i was still with that jerk but my good friends that i lived with made me realize what he was doing to me. he had me shoved up against car doors and walls while being right up in my face yelling at me. or getting made and pushing me because i accidentally lost cocaine. well i finally got the courage to break up with him for good. It was probably the hardest thing i have ever done. I never thought i could break up with him or get out of that abusive relationship. and sometimes it still hits me that I'm done with his bullshit for good and I'm okay. Im safe and I'm never going back there and he can never ever hurt me again. I guess I'm just scared and so fucking angry at myself for not seeing everything and the larger picture. I called myself a feminist for the longest time and would be like “how can girls stay in abusive relationships?” and now i know how. Being manipulated and controlled is a real thing. You are completely blinded by everything. your sense of power and identity get ripped away from you and your abuser becomes the only thing you have and find comfort in. Its weird and some people might not understand it. But i sure do and i finally realized all the things he had done to me. mentally and emotionally. anyways this is where 2017 got better for me. I started talking to my old friend edwin again. Josh made me ghost him when we got together. we talked everyday. it was like nothing had changed and within 2 days of talking to him i basically told him everything that happened in a year and 7 months. it was a lot tbh and i never actually noticed haha. but he stuck thru everything including my wild drunk nights out. I turned into something else and hoed around. I guess it was my way of dealing with stuff and found comfort in seeing guys? Because i didn't know who i was and my confidence was so used to being dependent on a guy for security and empowerment that i couldn't do it alone. I couldn't empower myself and thats mainly the reason to why i slept around. anyways edwin and i talked 25/7 day and night and we got so close without even realizing it. we gave each other relationship advice as he was seeing a couple girls and so was I. when i came back for reading break he kissed me and thats when i realized he had feelings for me all this while. I was so blinded by all these fuck boys to see he was right under my nose the entire time. and when he was flirting with me he actually was flirting with me and not joking about it. well i made a mistake after but long story short i liked him in an instant. i liked him more than like. i loved him but i knew it was too soon. i was scared to get serious so fast considering its only been a couple months since i broke up with josh. anyways he asked me out and i said yes in a heartbeat. He is not like any other guy and i know it. he’s far from them and he;s never going to hurt me. he didn't even have to say that to reassure me i just know. and I'm dating my best friend like how much better could it get. he helped me get sober and i could be 5 months sober but i had slip up. so its been 2 months fully clean and i couldn't feel anymore cleaner and pure. end of 2017 started to look better for me. I started dating my best friend, got sober, got out of probation, got a job in kelowna and my relationship with my parents got so so so strong. My mom and I haven't been closer and its honestly the best. little did i know we are the same person esp when drunk haha. But then some stuff with my little sister when down and i ratted her to my parents because it was the only way to get her out of that situation. anyways she doesn't talk to me anymore or ever. And i guess I'm so hurt and thats why i decided to write everything out because I'm hurt. I lost my best friend since 2013. yes she is my sister but she is also my best friend. If you ask me who i want as my bridesmaid id say shalini right off the hook. without thinking because when we moved here we had no one but each other. we moved half way across the country and left everything and everyone behind just because I  was failing school in singapore. we got close i guess after only having each other and it just stings a little that she can't trust me cause who do i trust now.I know i have edwin but its different. she’s my sister she just knows me like no body else. we were fobs together and we matured and grew together. i don't have any other girl friends i trust besides her. i don't have a girl best friend and i guess I'm just sad over that. I lost all my girl best friends cause of josh and the others are back home half way across the fucking world and i just don't mean as much as i used to to them. distance and time difference can play a part lol. I really don't know what got to me to talk about everything or at least a couple things but maybe its just cause i finally got my period after 3 months and I'm super emotional and hormonal? sighs anyways i know 2018 is going to be my year and so many things are happening this year its defs gonna be a year to remember. Quillynn helped me find an idol clue too so thats good but I think I flopped too. This buff challenge seems hard but fun but im no artiSt.. But I'm confident we can slay!

Gonna be honest I was expecting either tribe cuz I feel like I could be placed in both but I’m still very happy to be on the hero tribe. Three people have really left a mark for me. First quilLynn: she is super nice and I love her so much. So much so that I think she is probably doing this with other people. She will probably have a lot of allies quickly so I just need to stay wary of her but for now I like her! Next is Akito. Nothing special really happened just some good conversations! Okay so i'm just coming off a win from last season and I'm so excited to be back!  I love my tribe so far, but there is definitely a problem. It is no secret that I know, and am GOOD friends with a chunk of the villains tribe, and although I want to play this season loyal to the heroes, I don't know if they're going to believe that, especially Jay. I'm trying to do my best in these challenges to at least secure my worth to this tribe. I want to get to know the players who I've never met before too so I can hopefully convince them to keep me and that I'm not a threat due to my villain affiliations. I also want to form a Koh Sai alliance with Bryce, Kelsey, and Akito. I love Kelsey but she's a slippery one! She'll lie to your face, laugh and write an iconic confessional all at the same time. I also found a hint in the rules about the idol search AFTER I had already looked, but I made sure to tell Bryce about it right before he was going to search and then submitted the hint to my host chat after hoping we might get lucky and find a second clue. I'm thinking that although the clue didn't help me directly, the snorkel I found might help me search for the idol in places I wouldn't have been able too before.

OKAY so i'm determined to do better than dead sea, not just in placement but also in gameplay. my gameplay in dead sea fucking sucked but I'm already off to a better start!! i'm really excited to be on the villains tribe tbh because everyone is crackedt and exciting. HOWEVER i'm also a little nervous because the rest of the villains have a very..... strong personality. Also like 5 minutes in everyone was already fighting Jaiden so that was a mood. It can be easy for me to kinda blend into the background for the first part of the game, but I also don't wanna get lost in that and become an easy target. Like, I'm not nearly as insane as the rest of this tribe. whether that's a good or bad thing is yet to be seen! I was working my social game as much as I saw fit last night, I had really good conversations with Dana, Nic, and Zach. They're my three faves as of right now. Jaiden is an icon but idk how long he's gonna last on this tribe. Nicholas and Trixie are fun but i always have a tough time trusting them. Jake is nice but isn't standing out to me right now. Willa and Liana were mostly absent during all the first night excitement. Overall it's a strong tribe with interesting dynamics. I think there's a premade type thing with Zach, Nicholas, Dana, and Trixie so I have to watch out for that, and they have ties with QuilLynn on the heroes tribe so that's scary too. They can be a really strong force if they stick together. So yeah that's that on THAT. Wish me luck!

I guess I'll go ahead and do first impressions of my tribe mates. Adil - Still hasn't accepted my contact request lol, and I think they only talked once in the tribe chat since the game has started. Akito - I tried to make interesting conversation with Akito, but he's very boring to talk to. I would try to come up with interesting topics to talk about, and his only response would be "oh." or "that's nice.". So I just stopped messaging him completely. Bryan - We talked the first night for a couple of hours, and Bryan seems nice so far! Bryce - I just messaged him for the first time a couple hours ago, so I don't have much to say right now. Chips - We still haven't interacted one on one yet. Ian - Ian is the oldest on the tribe I think. We talked most of yesterday on and off, and I like him a lot so far. I think I'll end up talking more with him today. He's someone I'd love to work with tbh. I hate that I always wanna work with the guys in games but shrug. I just vibe more with guys, it's like that in real life too. Jay - Jay is the only person I "know" before coming into the game. We played in ihos and festive together. Both times we "worked" together. One minute Jay says I'm a queen and he likes me, and the next minute he talks shit about my friends and I ctfu. I've been off Skype for a few months, so who knows how he feels about me now. Kelsey - Kelsey is....interesting. Is all I will say. QuilLynn - I like QuilLyn a lot! She's someone I'd be interested in working with. Her and Kelsey honestly.

So my buffs were way better, but we lost. Its REALLY hard to hold in my inner villain right now. I want to like scream at everyone, because thats just like the type of bitch that I am. I also am soo mad that we lost because like I’m at risk of leaving first due my dumbass friends on the villains tribe who I don’t even want to work with in this game!! So I need all the help I can get to win this immunity, but of course the judges were friends with the villains and we lost rip rip. I’m just hoping that my losing streak from last season isn’t continuing on djdhsbhs

Man...it sucks that we lost the reward challenge. And it was so close too! Anyways. The immunity challenge is really fun! I was able to get a couple of them so I feel like I’m contributing to this immunity challenge and if we do end up losing it I won’t be a target.

Of course we lost the buff challenge, ours were good but the addition of the drag queens made the buffs not work. I get why Quill put them there but you need to realize that they're not being made for just you. I wanted to ask for them to be removed but I didn't feel like ruffling feathers. Especially since we will lose this immunity challenge.

I mean I said I was going to do 2 of the 10 pointers and then didn't, but at the same time I'm still the only one who scored in the 10 point category. I don't really know what I'm doing exactly. I hate my tribe so that's what's going for me, but other than that I haven't done much and I don't intend on it. My position is pretty terrible lmao, but now that Ian has quit, it still gives me the opportunity to try and just survive until the next vote or something.
