Ekko wants Vi to find that resolve of his that Powder is gone herself (see point 3 why)

Ekko actually, genuinely, wants to see what if she pursued her instead? What if she tried to save her? Would it have changed anything? Would it be different if it's her? An underlying hope he won't explicitly acknowledge ..?

Ekko just knows no matter what he says Vi's heart will always be too big to tame. And in a way Ekko reflects the same attribute. He understands her, while it could be because he grew up with her, i think it's because he relates too. Ekko IS an emotional person . His decisions often stem not that he can do something, but he can't help but do it . He is rational and smart by nature so often these decisions don't always harbor the worst of consequences as the Firelights leader .. he can't help but hate silco so he leads the people well . He can't help but want zaun to prosper so he risks trusting caitlyn, an enforcer . he can't help but love the firelights so he breaks that 5 minute limit to avenge his fallen comrade . he can't help but have an attachment to the people he once loved so he hesitates delivering the final blow to his best friend in a bloody fistfight . he can't help but understand vi so he lets her go

A little bit about CKC pointing field trials (puppy stakes) in general for those who are interested in how they run.

CKC has its hunting dog events broken out pretty specifically. CKC is restrictive in which breeds can run which events (e.g., only CKC registered approved pointing breeds can run pointing tests, other breeds are excluded even if they technically could complete the exercises. Rory can only run pointing events, she couldn't do a retriever test or a spaniel test).

We also have a distinction in trials vs tests, as most other venues do.

Trials - you are competing against other people and being judged against a standard. You run in pairs. Top 4 dogs get placements, once you get enough points you get a field championship.

Tests - you are running alone and being judged against a standard for a qualifying/non-qualifying runs. 3 qualifying runs gets you a title.

We are currently running CKC pointing field trials.

CKC pointing trials have two main distinctions within them - puppy stakes and senior stakes. You can enter whichever stake you're ready for, with some exceptions (like age) - you don't have to run puppy stakes before running senior stakes.

Puppy stakes are a little lower pressure because they judge puppies' potential. Within puppy stakes, there are two main types of runs.

Open puppy stakes: any puppy *of eligible breed* between 6 and 18 months old. No birds hidden in the field, no gunshots on the course, 15-20 minutes running.

Derby stakes: any puppy of eligible breed between 6 and 27 months old. At least two birds hidden in the field, puppy needs to point birds if encountered, gunshots, 20-30 minutes.

We run open puppy for now. Here's how this goes:

We are randomly paired with another puppy and handler (this pairing is called a brace, the other handler and dog are our bracemates). We walk up to the start line together (usually the entrance to a big pasture) with our puppies on leash. Two judges (on ATV or horseback) give us a quick overview of the course we have to walk. The course is usually through a big open field with medium cover (think knee high grasses and shrubs, some wetlands, some hills but no forest) and typically avoids fencelines or roads. They tell us to release our dogs at the same time, so we let the dogs off leash and start walking (very fast, and I'm a fast walker to begin with). The course is usually huge, much bigger than we could possibly walk in 20 mins.

Usually the puppies play a little bit and then get to work. The judges are looking for puppies who can ignore the other dog and handler, judges, ATV, horses, and spectators, hunt independently, cover lots of ground (move fast and steady across the terrain while still sniffing), use the wind to follow scent, and respond to their handlers' directions. If the puppies want to play too much, the judges will ask the handlers to split up a little bit to encourage the puppies to work independently. Usually you stick within about 10m (25ft) of your bracemate. Puppies can range anywhere as long as they stay visible and ahead of their handlers. (Puppies are often about several hundred metres/yards away from their handlers depending on breed. Rory ranges about 50-100m in real life and about 75-300m in field trials. It is an exhilarating exercise in trust in my training.)

The judges follow behind us and then spectators can follow behind the judges, if they want. We have to keep up a very fast pace to encourage the puppies to cover as much ground as possible, not at a jog but pretty close.

In puppy stakes, you want to keep as quiet as you can. The judges are looking for instinct and basic potential, so you don't want to ruin that by giving your dog tons of directions. If your puppy follows directions, that suggests they need directions to function. If your dog ignores directions, that's unresponsive and also bad. Ideally you shouldn't say much during your run unless there's danger (if a deer runs out, you would recall your puppy) or evils (if your puppy is eating poop, you could recall or redirect). You are allowed to chat with your bracemate but you have to hustle fast so it's usually friendly but minimal.

One important piece of open puppy stakes is that there are no planted birds in the field! There may be wild birds, but it's unlikely. Many people "over train" their bird dog puppies on live birds, and then the puppies get really frustrated that there are no birds in the field after they search so hard. This causes puppies to slow down or give up entirely during their run, so this is something that judges look for. In real life hunting, there's no guarantee of birds so it's important that puppies can work through frustration without losing enthusiasm.

The judges kind of shout directions (go left, head for those trees) from behind to keep us on course. In the best courses, the judges make you walk a loop, but sometimes your time ends in the middle of a field. When your time is up, the judges will thank you and tell you to leash your dog. We recall our puppies and put them on leash and walk them back to our cars for water and snacks.

That's the whole run for open puppy! It's very low pressure. The puppies basically just follow their hearts and do what they were made to do.

Derby is extremely similar, except there are birds planted in the field. The puppies don't HAVE to find birds but obviously its preferable that they do. If they find birds, they must point (stop moving and stand still staring at the bird). They don't have to be steady to flush or shot (they can chase when the bird flies or when the gun goes off), and only blanks are shot in derby. The course is a little longer but everything else is the same.

In open puppy and derby stakes, the judges are just looking for potential. They want to know if your dog would be competitive in the senior stakes, so they're looking for lots of independence, lots of bird drive, lots of stamina, things like that. Because they're judging potential, younger puppies may be judged a little easier than older puppies.

That was a name that was well known, feared, and one of the strongest captains and have one of the most strongest crew in the sea. Get attacked by him? You’re dead, you aren’t making it out alive.

He’s listening to his crew mate talks about sirens, saying how they are worth a lot and they should go hunting for one! Miguel instantly rejected the idea, saying it’s a waste of time.

Miguel never really believed in sirens, he thought it was some tale to scare kids and to make pirates like him search endlessly for them.

“Awh c’mon!” “No Peter, It’s just a waste of time and resources.” “You are like probably the only captain that dosent believe in sirens” “Because I’m not stupid.”

He remembers helping another crew hunt a siren but never even saw it, nor heard it. Miguel scoffed at the fact he wasted his time helping someone hunt for something that probably wasn’t even real.

But now? He believes, he saw one. He even looked at one. Talked to one.

Miguel felt like he had a fever dream, he doesn’t know how to put it into words that what happened in that day was real and not some random dream.

He’s not even on his ship anymore, not his crew, just some random people. He dosent know what happened to his crew mates but just assumed the worst.

It happened so suddenly, He was sailing on the ocean on his ship with his crew mates. Laughing and just having fun. When he least expected it, the tides got rough, the waves got higher and it was stormy too.

The last thing he saw before passing out was a massive wave, All he remembers is feeling the impact and then black.

His ship wrecked god knows where, His crew mates most likely dead sinking down in the same ocean but different area than Miguel. Miguel was drowning alone.

Until you saw him, You noticed him sinking down. Your first thought was free food but then you realized who he is. He’s a pirate. The same ones who try’s to hunt your kind. You scowl at this discovery but you soon realized he’s alone, his ship is gone too.

You could get information if there’s any attacks coming, their weaknesses and then kill him.

So, you save him. Grabbing his body, stopping him from dying and throwing him on the shore. you look at his body, you recognize that symbol that’s on his chest...your eyes widened, you grit your teeth as the grip on him tightened.

This was the Captain that helped that crew hunt your kind. Yeah, you are going to kill this man afterwards.

You give him CPR, isn’t working. So you give him mouth to mouth. Soon enough he’s awake sitting up immediately, coughing up some water. He looks at you, looks around. He’s at some random island as some lady saved him.

“What do you want from me? Is there anyone else coming? Is there going to be future attacks I don’t know about?” You immediately question him.

He looks at you once again in confusion and opens his mouth to answer but his mouth closed then his jaw went slack as his eyes widened in horror as he realizes that you aren’t a human but a siren.

He frantically searches for his cutlass but you hold it in front of him “looking for this?” You say as you toss it in the water. He looks at it sink I the water then looks back at you in fear but regain his composure.

“I don’t mean any harm, I didn’t even know—“ you scoffed, not believing his words “Oh cut the bullshit, answer my questions now.” You demanded him.

You get closer to him narrowing your eyes at him as he backs up “Is there going to be any men attacking me? Is there going to be people trying to hunt me down?” You questioned him once again.

“I’m being truthful, I don’t know. I didn’t hear anything about people looking for you. I don’t mean harm, You can see that my crew mates are not here most likely dead. My ship is wrecked. So please trust me.” He pleads, you glare at him and backed off.

“Why would i ever believe a pirate Like you?” You sneered at him, and he sighed “Please, I’m alone. You have my word.” He pleads once again. You look at him trying to see if he’s trying to trick you but you don’t see any malice in his eyes.

You decided to trust him, you felt bad for him. And you especially know how it is to be alone so, you just nodded and point your head to the island “There’s some food there, You Can stay” you tell him and you swam away in the water.

He smiled and began to explore the island, trying to see what he can work with for the time being. He can deal with this, He is a bit shaken up that he just talked to a siren.

As time went by, you guys respected your guys space. Staying away from eachother…which was actually you avoiding him because you still hated him.

But after a couple of days, you talked to him more. Making short and awkward small talks but it’s something!

Now Miguel sits at the shore, looking at the water as he searches for you. He notices your eyes staring at him back and he’s a bit startled but he offers his hand to you, you swim up to him and take his hand.

“Yes?” You say, tilting your head. He smiled at you and puts an apple in your hand “Here, I don’t really know what you eat and i don’t want you to still hate me” you eyes widened at his kindness.

You couldn’t help but chuckle a bit “you don’t do your research?” You say as you take a bite of the apple, usually you’ll just eat whatever is in the sea or sailors but sometimes an apple wouldn’t hurt.

He shakes his head “No, I don’t focus on stuff like that. I just focus on where I’m going, why, and the safety.” He admits honestly, you raise and eyebrow at him being a bit skeptical of him.

“You were there helping another pirate hunt my kind” you pointed out and he sighed “you think I wanted too? It was a waste of my time and my resources. Even after that I didn’t believe”

You smile. Maybe he isn’t half bad “Realized I never got your name, What is your name?” You asked him.

He smiles, knowing he’s getting on good terms with you “Miguel, Miguel ohara” and he offered you a handshake, you give him a handshake.

“you aren’t that bad Miguel, I thought you were going to kill me or send men my way” you joked and he shakes his head.

“I wouldn’t either way, why would i crash my ship risk my teammates life and my own! just for a chance to get you?” He asks and you thought about it. Huh, he was right. “Dunno, people are desperate.” You shrugged and he laughed.

“True, true. I see pirates fight all the time and I don’t get why!” He says while eating some berrys, You didn’t even notice but he was halfway in the water. “So, how’s the pirate life been?” You asked him.

“It’s…Something alright, it’s always shocking something. Everyday is an adventure and I…had my crew mates with me, it was fun and I miss it. I miss their laughter, and…everything.” he tells you. His shoulders dropped as he has a frown on his face.

You feel bad for him, you understand how that feels to be left alone. To miss home, to miss everyone and everything.

You put a hand on his shoulder and then loved it up to his cheek for him to look at you.

“Hey, It’s okay. I understand where your coming from. Trust me, I know how it feels to be alone. I didn’t live here always, I was with my family, my friends but then…they came. I seen all of my family die in front of my eyes.” You looked away, You didn’t like going back to this memory but you told him anyways.

“I tried to stop them but 3 ships was there. I couldn’t do anything, so I swam away as fast as I can. And that’s how I got here” you confessed to him.

It was silence for a few moments but then he apologized “I’m sorry that happened, but hey! You got me now” he says with a smile, picking the mood back up. you laughed, You Can Finally trust him.

But that thought quickly goes away, you hear the familiar sounds of a pirate ship. Your smile dropped. There was multiple, he lied to you.

His eyes widened in horror as your widened as well. You back away from him, looking at him with disgust and betrayal. You turn around to the ships and you noticed that they are aiming their pistols at you, their cannons as well.

He desperately pleads that he didn’t do this, that he didn’t know but you glared at him. You’re in disbelief that you actually gave him the benefit of the doubt and trust him.

As much as you want to attack him, You safety matters first. So you swim away deep in the water as Miguel watches, as he hears his name being called from the people above.

As someone who loves both Kenny and Violet, I feel like I’ve found my calling here 😭😭😭

They’re genuinely so similar, and I do agree that the fandom has male bias, as well as protagonist bias actually

Clementine has the opportunity to befriend/romance Violet and then let her get kidnapped 20 minutes later. And for Violet, that is the most obvious feeling of betrayal! I don’t understand why people in the fandom struggle to realize that their actions have consequences

Lee can basically hate Kenny the entirety of the first season and then the fandom defends Kenny for his actions.

Clearly most of us totally understand Kenny’s response to Lee’s and by extension Clementine’s behavior, so why can’t they understand Violet’s response to Clem’s? Makes no sense to me

I dont interpret ruan mei as evil because she’s autistic, not because autistic ppl cant be evil and terrible but because she has a very aeon-like complex that is intrinsically tied to her autism and special interest in life and aeonhood.

Aeons are neutral about their Paths, like how Lan doesnt give a fuck about if you feel blessed by their genocide or not or how Sunday almost reached aeonhood but couldnt because he wasnt completely neutral about his stance etc.

Ruan Mei's pursuit of aeonhood is, in a way, very selfish, in the sense that she’s willing to sacrifice a lot for it but it’s also neutral in a very scientific and detached way. She’s a very detached person in general, and doesnt really allow herself attachments, so she’s okay with sacrificing things because hey, it doesnt concern her.

It’s very much tied to her autism because she has very Specific things that she cares about, and even when she cares its not in a way that’s easily understood by others.

Her actions dont come with malicious intent but because she’s so tunnel visioned on her pursuit of aeonhood, she fails to recognise that her understanding of life is very much lacking and very much, hurtful in ways that are not computed through logic and science.

Like. She knows that her creations yearn for her affection but she is unable to give it back to them because 1) shes detached shes not particularly attached to them, whatever affection she forces herself to give would be fake 2) shes also super busy. So she entrusts them to the Trailblazer because she knows that TB would have the capacity and capability to care for them the way she couldn't. However, she fails to realise that her creations wants affection from HER, as their mother and creator. She knows she's hurting them but she doesn't entirely understand the root of the issue, so her solution, though a way of her showing her care, doesn't really solve the problem.

Another example is her cloning the emanator of propagation. Her attempt at bringing back the bug wasn't because she wanted to destroy the world but to test the limits of her understanding of life, destroying the world was simply a consequence that she didnt care about. That sounds bad, but it doesn't mean that she wanted to destroy the world, she just didn't care if getting results meant sacrificing everything else. However, she also knew it would have been a disaster, so she set a self destruct function AND assigned TB to take care of it. She doesn't realise that her attempt at cloning alone was extremely reckless and putting TB through it by deceiving them, even though she ultimately had "good" intentions, was hurtful at a personal level. In the process of trying to make her experiment more safe for the sake of others on the space station, she deceives TB and inevitably hurts their feelings and trust.

Ruan Mei wants to go further and further, but the part of her that has learned socialisation and does truly care about the welbeing of others, actually stops her from doing so, even if she may not necessarily realise it.

Ruan mei is someone who is not able to fully, properly CARE because she doesnt allow herself any forms of attachment, hence her apathy but she does SHOW care through her actions. However, because such care is not seen as natural, or even understandable by the vast majority, it goes under the radar. Most people don't understand her way of caring, and they don't try to. This is evident both in game and in real life by people who couldn't properly grasp her character in the quest.

Sorry that I digressed quite a bit but it ties in a lot with apathetic autistic people, and even just apathetic people in general who DO show care but it goes unnoticed and is scrutinised because it doesnt immediately come off as comprehensible and overtly caring to neurotypical people. It's common for people to think autistic behaviour is uncaring or dismissive, because they don't see us playing by their rules and don't make the effort to understand at all. Ruan Mei is a character who is extremely autistic coded, and her devotion to her research reads very much as an autistic person with a special interest. Special interests can cause the tunnel vision that Ruan Mei exhibits, and autistic people can and have neglected ourselves and others in the pursuit of our special interests. It doesn't mean that we don't care about other people anymore, we just prioritise our special interest above all else.

Ruan Mei isn't evil, shes just neutral and just doesnt have the same capacity to be emotional and attached as everyone else. The things that are important to her, aren't as important to others. The things that are natural to her, just aren't natural to others.

I always found the blue & pink people thing really odd.

Like I think it's a visual choice to make everyone around Hajime seem less real, a form of dissociation, it's supposed to really push the feelings of isolation but also a feeling hes more real Hajime experiences, and for that end it's a great choice.

The problem is I just don't think that's the right end they should have gone for, the plight of the Reserve Course is the single most important story in the series for its wide effects on the world it's in, it should have had the same emotional weight as the death of the student council, but it doesnt, could you imagine if the student council were all blue transparent people? it would lose so much impact, and yet the suicide scenes and the parade dont have a single identifiable character despite how it's the literal signal for the end of the world even just a few more Reserve kids we knew and could recognize would go SO FAR in helping

Pikachu Girl as she was named also known as Aiko Umesawa was spotted out of a crowd early on in the series and people loved her because look at how cute she is! She's like a pikachu! She was a student council member and probably the most well known one, so she died in the massacre and most people were the most sad at her death, at least at time of release.

Now imagine instead they made her a reserve, maybe a mirror to Chiaki? then have her even just in the background of the reserve course, growing more and more saddened and angry, then have a scene where she kills herself with the other Reserves maybe bitterly saying she never should have trusted anyone or that what point is there when no one ever cares, IMMEDIATE larger impact, even if she was THE ONLY character with detail in the scene, it would immediately humanize and bring back down to earth the mass suicide for what it is!

Weiss adjusted the collar of her shirt to hide the scarring around her neck as she watched Team CYBR (Cyber) take on Team ABRN in the opening round of the tournament. A smirk crossed her lips and she leaned back on her bed, spinning the dust revolver on her rapier’s hilt. Everything had started going according to plan, and as long as she was able to keep everything under control, no one was going to see what was coming. 

“Who do you think’s going to win?” Mercury asked. “Ruby and her friends seem to be a bit outmatched if you ask me.” 

“Ruby and her team will pull through and win the match,” Weiss said calmly as she watched the match closely, the smirk on her lips fading. “We’ll need that brute on their team to make it to the finals for our plan to go smoothly.” 

“And if she doesnt?” 

“She will. Afterall, it is team CYBR that seems to get in our way. And if they seem to start failing, then Emerald will make sure they can still win.” 

Emerald nodded and flipped through a few pictures on her scroll. “Though, we still dont have any guarantee they’ll keep sending her up. The faunus and the orphan seem to be working together well enough, we might need to change our approach.” 

Weiss stopped her dust revolver from spinning and looked up towards the ceiling of the dorm room. “If they dont send up the brute, then I’ll adjust our plan accordingly. All that matters is that we show the kingdoms that huntsmen cant be trusted. That no matter how much trust they put into them, huntsmen arent meant to save people. Only to follow the wills of the kingdoms and the councils in charge.” 

“Then what would you like for us to do in the meantime?” 

“Go to the fairgrounds and enjoy yourself,” Weiss said as she put her rapier down. “Mingle with the other teams, find out who they plan to send up and who we’ll need to make adjustments for. The last thing I want are for any last minute surprises that’ll interrupt our plans.” 

“Alright. Want us to get you anything?” 

Weiss shook her head and turned to look at the television screen again, keeping her eyes on Ruby. The one person that seemed to keep getting in her way unintentionally, a kink in the plans that never seemed to go away no matter how much planning was involved. A smile crossed her lips for a moment as she sat up, a small, fiery glyph forming above her fingers as she circled it in the air. “Your move, Ruby. Lets see if you can stumble onto the real plan for Beacon.”

Cinder raised her swords to block Reese’s hoverboard, sliding back as she braced against the impact. She pushed Reese back with a growl and ran her fingers up the sides of her swords, activating the dust inside them as they burst into flames. “Ruby?! Any time now!” 

“I’m thinking!” Ruby yelled back as she used her semblance to find a vantage point to look over the arena. “Just… try to get them grouped up!” 

“Easier said than done!” Cinder took a few steps back to avoid Reese, her eyes following the hoverboard. She ran her hand over her blades once more, heating them with her semblance and molding them into a bow. “Go help Yang! I have an idea!” 

Ruby nodded and rushed off to help Yang deal with Arslan. 

Cinder took a breath and drew back her bowstring, nocking an arrow and aiming at Reese’s hoverboard. She quickly let loose arrow after arrow, drawing back each one as quickly as she could grab them. She relaxed a bit as she watched Reese pull back, her eyes immediately snapping to the rest of team ABRN. Bolin had moved to help Arslan with Yang and Ruby, and Nadir was starting to give Blake some trouble. 

“Cinder! Watch out!” Blake yelled. 

Cinder quickly moved out of the way of a rock Arslan had thrown at her, wincing as her aura started to flicker. With a quick glance to her scroll, she checked her team's aura levels, not liking how low everything was. “Yang! Punch the ground!” 

Yang paused. “What?” 

“Just do it!” 

“You better have a plan!” 

Cinder nodded and shot another arrow at Reese to keep her back, smirking as she watched the terrain start to crack from Yang and the other team start to lose their balance. She pressed her hand to the ground and activated her semblance, superheating the terrain to make some obsidian. “Ruby! All you now!” 

Ruby smiled and rushed around Bolin and Arslan, pushing them back to Reese. “Blake! Yang! Time for Bumblebee!” 

Cinder rushed back as she watched Blake throw the gun of her weapon to Yang and pull her around the edge of the arena and over the obsidian path. She looked away as Yang made impact with team ABRN, dropping to her knees as she heard the buzzer as the match ended. 

“And with that spectacular ending, Team CYBR wins!” Professor Port called out over the loudspeaker. 

Cinder picked herself up and smiled as she listened to the cheers, glancing at her team before walking over to them. “I cant believe that worked.” 

Yang smiled and pulled Ruby to her. “Of course it worked! Ruby’s genius when it comes to on the fly plans!” 

Ruby tried to get out of Yang’s arm, struggling to get out of her grip. “Yang!” 

Cinder giggled and helped Ruby out of Yang’s grip. “Lets get something to eat. On me today.”

Christel took a breath as she walked towards the jewelry store. She was not gonna use the equipment.. Because she didn't want to injure herself. She just hoped a guard catches her quickly.

But as she proceeded with the crime. It was going smoothly. Too smoothly. She cursed herself and gothams very bad security.

“Oh no you don’t” A voice said throwing combat stick at her hands, causing her to immediately drop the diamonded necklace

Nightwing seemed genuinely sad for her, especially since she genuinely just wants to not be known as the ‘golden child’ and keep the family together...

"We all are nice kids. They are just going through their difficulty separate ways. I just happen to not have a public meltdown like them" Christel chuckled dryly. "So instead of doing something drastic. I decided to maybe steal something kinda like Catwoman and Publically be outed so I can have a small criminal record and NOT be the golden child"

He sighs, he understands the burden of not wanting to be the ‘Golden Child’ and he understands the pressure of not wanting to be the ‘nice batkid’ all the time when there are family issues going on. He put a hand on her shoulder.

“I suppose it’s better than getting into hard drugs or almost killing your teacher” He says thinking of the scenarios she told him.

"Yeah my family is a bit dysfunctional but they are nice people" Christel explained "god this was stupid of me- sorry Nightwing. I took a decision without thinking how stupid the plan was"

“Trust me , It’s fine don’t worry about it. I know what it’s like to have certain expectations put on you” He says, referencing to him being used to people seeing him as the Robin that can do no wrong.

"Ah. I keep on forgetting you were the first Robin" Christel said softly. "I presume you are the "Best one" To the others?"

Nightwing chuckled "yeah a common misconception in my family. If anyone was the best Robin it was probably either red hood or red Robin" He said. "They displayed what Robin is supposed to be, the most. I just made the mantle"

First off, hi! I love Hobie and Spiderverse in general, I've seen it twice and my favourites are Hobie, Pavitr, Mayday and Peter Parked Car! I have several headcanons that od love to share with you!

1) Hobie and Pavitr first bond over their mutual dislike for the British monarchy and government, but admit that the tea is really good.

2) Hobie is literally a Robin Hood to the people of Mumbhattan, particularly in the slums and poorer areas. He also helps May Auntie and he's one of the few people outside the immediate family that she trusts and respects.

3) Hobie and Pav come up with a plan to steal what Britain stole from the museum and to give it back. Its all sorted out; Mayday is the distraction and Peter Parked Car is the getaway vehicle. PPC has a booster seat specifically for Mayday.

4) Mayday has a toy called Spiderspider. He's a spider that was bitten by a radioactive spider and she refuses to sleep without him, even for naps.

5) Hobie is shortsighted and has half moon glasses for reading and sewing. He also loves to sew as a way to relax and he makes Mayday a battle jacket with acab in building blocks on the back

6) Hobie and Pav act like a couple and Mayday is their daughter. They do this without a hint of sarcasm and Miguel is both confused and not surprised.

I love all of these so much!! Especially the fact that you liked Peter Parked Car!!! (Honestly him and Lego-Spider-man are two of the good ones I trust them) and sdfdfkjdsf now I have headcanons of your headcanons!

I love tea and I love the idea that Hobie could be Pavi's 'tea plug'. He brings him all sorts of teas - English Breakfast would probably be something Pavi likes. They both probably have REALLY strong opinions when they learned Miles makes tea in the microwave and not the kettle (don't worry miles i do too)

OOOOOOOOO This is a good one!!! Especially since things are more drastic and somewhat hardcore in Hobie's universe, I could see him really really enjoying helping out in Mumbattan. Bonus points because Mumbattan is sunny. His patrols there probably put him in such a good mood - I bet Mumbattan is one of those universes that LOVE all Spider-people that come through

YOOOOOO THEM DOING THAT WOULD BE CRAZY Especially cause the news would be like 'how did these huge 2 ton statues from India disappear in 3 minutes'? And it's like easy, Hobie just picked one up and walked out. They're that strong that they can steal EVERYTHING back no matter how big. And it's like a modern mystery how like the entire West wing of the British Museum went missing in 15 minutes

SMILE. my oldest oc is asha and my newest im not 100% sure but i think is probably elliot. at the very least elliot is the most recent well developed so im going to talk about them

asha has remained quite similar to when i made her honestly just gotten more fleshed out... shes a young woman with necromancer abilities that travels around a lot and LOVES to resurrect animals especially cats ^-^ she has little regard for the consequences of life and death and the pain that what she does may cause because it doesnt really occur to her- to her, someone who has lost her family and is unable to do anything to get them back even in a world of magic that can quite literally bring people back from the dead, she cant imagine that it can be anything but good. she struggles with and comes to terms with her attachment issues over the course of the story shes in

what to say about elliot... theyre a person living in a post apocalyptic world almost completely isolated whos predisposition to paranoia + distrust worsens as they spend more and more time around people who they see as dangerous but the only safety net they have. they live in a refurbished and made up barn on the edge of a large farmland, with only two other people in the area, both of whom are the only safety net they have and both of whom do not like nor trust them, or each other. as time goes on they seek more control over the others while growing more fearful and feeling more powerless. i dont have a set idea of what a story would be for these three, theyre mainly just there making each other worse

id say now that i think of it there are a good amount of similaraties and differences between asha and elliot! ill start with the differences

personality wise theyre quite different id say... asha is very upbeat and social, quick to make friends and generally very "goes with the flow" when it comes to most things. she is stubborn, though, and quick to anger when challenged, and when this happens she digs in her heels and refuses to listen to anything that might go against what she believes. this causes difficulties with her friends and with her partner felicity, whose worldview and whole existence is antithetical to ashas. elliot on the other hand is the opposite in a lot of ways. they were already quite paranoid and asocial before the apocalypse happened, and now theyre extremely agoraphobic and distrustful of others, to the extent of relying on someone they think is unstable and dangerous because they think he can keep them safe. asha feels like her belief and her worldview is correct and stubbornly refuses to listen to anything that may contradict or disprove what she thinks, even when it hurts others, while elliot has no particularly strong morals or beliefs, mainly concerned with self preservation. one place i do think they are very similar personality wise though is that they both VERY much need to feel in control, either of their situation or thepeople around them, or they unravel and break down fairly quickly. both scramble to reassert themselves when they feel they dont have this, and both harm their relationships with others because of it

i think their stories are fairly different so i dont think theres much to compare there, though both are sort of fantasy- magic and zombies. its kind of interesting they both have undead creatures or people in them though i hadnt thought about that ^-^ elliots setting focuses much less on them as individuals though, while ressurections have a much more immediate focus for asha.

in terms of their ROLE- asha is the protagonist in her story, joined by felicity, her partner and deuteragonist, and a few other main cast members, with what i would imagine if i ever made it into a real thing to be a large cast of side + more one off characters. elliot is the deuteragonist of their setting, though, along with dahlia. the two of them are as vital and central to the story as cooper, the "main" character, but he is just the POV character so we see more of him of course. elliot has little influence over the overall setting and so the plot often centres around them trying to gain control in their personal situation, which is something that they share with asha- the plot largely follows a journey centred around the wants of felicity, which is something that asha disagrees with and does not want to see played out, but she has little control over

i think thats about it... ^_^ theyre not too similar in other ways like appearance and stuff. both of them are #bisexual... asha i made when i was maybe 15 or 16 and elliot i made only last year which is about 8 years difference. i think i would say ive come a decent way when it comes to the development of my ocs- asha was never intended to be any sort of self insert or anything but she was pretty heavily based on my personality (in ways that i saw it at least) when i made her but ive pulled her a bit away from that as she developed a bit more and ive changed too of course. elliot i would like to say i didnt really rely on any sort of inspiration for and hes not based on anything or anyone, other than subconsciously and since of course everything is drawn from inspiration i see around me. i think any more i go on about would just be minor details

I’m so happy someone else sees her in the same light as me, it’s kinda tiring seeing the negativity towards her (understandable tbh since she barely ever showed a positive attitude and only towards the end) since what she struggles with is an actual real life issue that usually is a result of trauma, it’s the worst mindset to ever be in and it leaves you and everyone who cares about you hurt, if not leaves you completely alone because you keep pushing everyone away thinking nobody’s ever genuine with you and there’s some nasty ulterior motives for their “kind” actions, it sucks and in a way i’m glad she somewhat snapped out of it after dying and being in the waiting room, obviously that world view wouldn’t disappear into thin air but i feel like she’s gonna be a bit more mindful now,i noticed her being a bit less hostile too and i was wondering how people didn’t notice that or at least don’t care to talk about it?, also you’re so right about charlotte being included with Amelia and bryce if they ever moved in together i feel like she’d at least stay in touch w them, arguably to me charlotte is one of the best written one characters if you really look into her

I also remembered people saying she’s an awful person because she’s painting her friends as these bad people like guys….she genuinely thinks they pity her and only care about their own image obviously she’s gonna tell other people the same thing, and her lying about not knowing there was fungus in the caves honestly also seemed like her not wanting to admit she’s wrong to not worsen her already very fragile self image, i feel like she doesn’t like being confronted about her mistakes because it just sucks being confronted about something you struggle to overcome (recklessness, awful spending habits, distrust of others that comes off as “having an ego”, etc) it even might come off as preachy, so overall i love charlotte’s character and how complex she is, i hope more people see your post i’m tired of her being painted as a manipulative asshole she just seems like she’s gone through some stuff that made her that way like no way you distrust everyone for no serious reason

YAA charlotte is like... a loooottt of how she acts really feels like its deeply rooted in Smth, and while its never specified what it is (or if there IS smth its based in, but it really does read like it is) and ultimately, the specific WHAT isnt really relevant, and it doesnt excuse her actions!! but shes def not like. evil or anything? people arent as patient w her character as they are for others who do similarly shitty things in the series and its genuinely a little like. shes not Bad Forever And Always. shes improving by the end of the series, at least somewhat, and shes not gonna be PERFECT right off the bat, and issues w trust arent easy to get rid of, if you can be rid of them entirely, but i think having the actions of her friends be recontextualized as not malicious like. genuinely has helped w her character growth, and she CAN improve and IS improving

also?? the thing abt her lying . sooooo tru. i think that her lying abt not knowing abt the fungus can really easily be read as her Deliberately trying to manipulate ppl abt her experiences, and while i DO think she does explain things in ways that make her look better (like u said, very likely to save image . bc she ALREADY has expressed that she doesnt like being belittled) its not malicious. that doesnt make it GOOD, but ppl painting all of her actions as Bad and Evil isnt doing her character any justice. shes a SUPER complex character, and i think she unfortunately gets overlooked bc she isnt Obviously part of liam amelia and bryces 'group.' she IMMEDIATELY was ok with the competition and so she doesnt get as involved in the main plot of trying to leave the plane. but i think shes a bit like julien in that, she doesnt ACTIVELY alter the plot in any super significant way, but she IS important narratively, i think. she shows someone similar to taylor, who WANTED to participate, but also someone who DOES ignore the worst parts of whats going on. shes a LOT like airy, easily adaptable, prone to isolation, and not always good at reading the wants or needs of others. but charlotte (and ive seen this mentioned before somewhere?) shows, at the end of the series, the Best case scenario for airy (were he not stuck in his world)

he started demanding to crash on the couch, threatening suicide and claiming domestic violence and things of that nature. i cant confirm or deny the domestic violence allegations but i will say that he has made these claims everywhere he has ever lived. this turned very quickly into him manipulating my partner into letting him move in with us. i knew it would go horribly but my hands were sort of tied (knew FIL could and would use any excuse to isolate partner from his loved ones so ive been treading the Bad Guy line very carefully here). i should also point out that FIL's girlfriend at the time was His Perfect Equal in every way and so my partner was biased towards hating her more, as she was someone he had just met.

immediately i had problems living with him. i have Always hated him because he used to misgender me constantly, so i should state this bias now. he seems to view me through a lens that is transphobic, homophobic and misogynistic all at once - that is to say, he believes i should be responsible for all the housework, and that i should listen to his every word and meet his every demand without complaint. it started out with him talking at me Constantly. i don't mean we were conversing, i mean that this man would sit behind me while i did chores and tell stories about pranks he used to pull in the 80s all day, getting annoyed if i tried to change the topic. throughout the course of these stories it became constantly clearer and clearer to me that he was absolutely an irredeemable piece of shit. to put it bluntly, almost all his stories put him in a bad light and he didnt seem to realise at all. he started to get really annoyed with me in general for not laughing at his bullshit, challenging his constant use of racial slurs, and not appreciating the homophobic comments he made about me on a daily basis. (i know you read "homophobic" and "use of slurs" and now you have a burning question, so i will answer; yes he Does call me a faggot). he quickly became my number 1 sworn enemy. to be extremely clear, yes, the fact that he is sitting and watching housework be done does mean he doesnt do any himself. he has outright stated that he thinks i should be obligated to take care of him. we'll return to this point. fucking trust me.

by this point in the story you're wondering why my partner has not kicked him out of the house. i KNOW. but it does become more complicated when you realise that at the time my partner was working 11 hour shifts every day and FIL was a completely different guy around him. still obnoxious and a bit arrogant, but nowhere near the human waste i had come to know. it started to get to the point where i was furiously angry at this dude 24/7 but my partner had never seen him do more than make an out of touch joke. this is the part where i say something vague about how i have mental health issues that i dont want to air out, but suffice to say that making me look paranoid and reactive is Not a hard task.

one night while i was doing dishes, i stopped to use the bathroom and FIL broke 3 of my wine glasses while i was gone. a gigantic fight ensued where he attempted to convince me i had actually broken them myself and my partner walked in on this happening. this is when i first thought the tides would turn and things would get better. partner atarted to see the issues but wanted to give him the chance to change. at this point he is still under the impression that his dad is someone who is perpetually down on his luck, who has had a difficult life and has been mistreated by everyone around him. basically is treating him like a shelter dog who is lashing out but still good at heart. he hasnt heard the same stories yet as i have of the guy who has had everything in his life handed to him for free, but is such a dickhead that he has fucked over everyone who ever tried to help him and fucked himself doubly in the process. after a certain point it started to wear on our ability to spend time together when i was constantly complaining about his dad instead of talking to him about literally anything else, so i honestly started to carry this on my own for a bit.

anyway, it becomes one of those "sit him down" situations. to remind you, this is a borderline senior citizen and not a toddler. they set out a timeline for him to stop drinking so heavily (alcoholism is also not a moral failing but it does have consequences for the people around you, so i get why he thought this would help) and as it became more and more obvious to my partner that his dad was not actually aiming to reach Any of these goals and had Zero respect for his boundaries, we set up our own little secret timeline for me to get a job so we could afford to move again. (i do have a job rn but i am often unemployed due to uhhh Obvious Reasons). so, things are going well yes? the veneer is cracking, he is proving himself selfish and unreliable. this should be about where it ends, yes?

WRONG

MIL passed extremely suddenly last july. the relationship there is somehow even more complex than this one so i won't even go into it, but we'll just say that this Fucked my partner up mentally very badly. he had a lot of trauma open back up and suddenly became very invested in fixing his relationships with his family members. i have never had to process grief on this level so i cant judge it. he decided to give his dad one more chance and for a little while i tried to be cool with this.

the relationship between FIL and i continued to deteriorate. after the wine glass fiasco i literally have refused to speak to him. this has not changed in about a year. i Hate this man more than i can say and my life is better for not interacting with him. i digress. me ignoring him becomes very Very contentious around the house, again it seems like i am the one Causing the majority of household tension because i am the most reactive to it. this sucks shit but is usually how things go when you are prone to being overemotional. a massive argument ensues between my partner and i where we eventually come to the decision that i will move out for a few months until our lease naturally ends. we obviously didnt break up or i would have referred to him as my ex at some point but i knew removing the buffer would make him see that his dad is a pure shithead. i dont know where else to interject this but the dude has also stolen a total of 26 full packs of cigarettes from me and this alone warrants the death penalty.

so. let's talk about the last 5 months, shall we?

turns out this dude was somehow putting on airs on my behalf. all of his behaviour immediately got more extreme because he felt like he had won. the buzzkill faggot (his words) was gone and he could really cut loose. cutting loose involved such choices as

leaving strangers in the house unattended for hours, resulting in theft on multiple occasions totalling thousands

physically removing important pieces from the shower (the knobs, mainly) whenever i visit and forgetting where he's hidden them so that no one can shower for days

continuing to refuse housework despite the fact there is one less person in the house now to help out and the house is in a neighbourhood with roaches

smoking in the house (we have a pet)

allowing strangers to smoke meth in the house (once again smoking meth is not a moral failing but to reiterate we do have a pet and she is just Two Inch Large)

turning heaters off and even opening windows in the dead of winter (i cant see this one as anything but an outright attempt to kill the mouse as even he ends up walking around in a coat and hat inside when he does this)

taking my partner's food out of the freezer and leaving it out on the counters all day long to replace it with his own shit (which he will not eat, he eats out every day because he cant cook)

tripling down on the racist shit

not only did he do all of these things but at some point he has managed to blame every single one of these actions on me. he literally outright said that he doesn't do housework because i should be coming over and doing it. to be clear I HAVE BEEN STAYING WITH FRIENDS AND RELATIVES FOR THE PAST 6 MONTHS. at this point youre Really thinking "you've kicked him out, right?" and im pleased to report that we have. but the story is still not over because the cockroach refuses to die and the entire house is filled with his shit. (remember his shit from the beginning? yeah.) he has been given a firm date he Has to leave by but until then we're still dealing with this nightmare human (in my opinion, we should have just thrown his shit to the side of the road, but im trying to be Calm Guy lately). he's reacting to being kicked out by throwing a number of temper tantrums each day, making sure his schedule is Unknowable, and insulting everyone around him at every possible opportunity. also, doing all the same shit that everyone has been mad at him for for decades and continuing somehow to blame it on Me.

so, where does this leave us? well, at the moment we are trying to finalize our next steps. we do actually have a bit longer on this lease than we've led him to believe, so we have until the fall to sort this out. to be honest it is much easier and calmer knowing that i dont have to consider this horrible man or his shit this time. as for where he's going to put it all, i don't know and i dont care. if he chooses to leave without taking it and ditch it all on us, in our neighbourhood i promise you it will all last 3 hours max on the roadside.

im annoyed, angry, and frustrated that all of this happened. but moreso than anything i am so fucking pleased to say that i think i am Finally rid of my father in law. praise be to the unknown cyber being.

there is more to this story, more details of provable lies he's told, more offensive obnoxious and downright horrible shit he has said to me and about me as well as to and about others, the kleptomania, the fact that he has been trying to make me act as his secretary in addition to all of this and file government paperwork on his behalf, the fact he has been pretending he once slept with my mother since 1986, the list goes on so far and so deep that i couldnt possibly write it all down here. but, this is the abridged version of my personal nightmare in-law story. if you read it i hope you hate him as much as i do.

ep 20 : AH YES, THE FREAKSHOW EPISODE. im fairly certain i only saw this episode once as a kid, because the plot beats of the episode took me by surprise on rewatch. but i do remember something about danny with the red eyes and almost getting himself in hot water constantly. maybe this episode left that kinda impact on me that i never wanted to watch it again, im unsure.

i know i saw reality trip a lot more bc i can just...remember the name of it off the top of my head. but i have to wonder why this guy was chosen as the season finale villain twice, considering he NEVER shows up in any other episodes besides these finales. or if he does, i just didnt pay attention oops

okay immediately i think i remember why i didnt like this episode that much, it was the designs of the ghosts that freakshow had enslaved. im not really sure, none of them are particularly bad. but they're really bland outside of the tattoo ghost girl. and even then, i was staring at her design thinking "wait, this is a kids show right"

i know showing skin isnt inherently sexual by nature, but she's literally wearing a corsette that barely covers her chest from the waist up, and she doesnt have ANY pants on. she still looks cool though, im just an adult and can now see things i did not see as a child.

sam's family gets properly introduced in this episode, and it's interesting to see them semi-respect her choices in lifestyle. like, yeah, they still want to pamper their daughter into being more pastel and happy vibes. but they let her darken her room and dress it however she'd like, which is nice. they only really question her choices bc danny looks really sus hanging out with her sometimes LMAO. which is funny cause danny is probably the most chill dude surface-wise to just have as a friend, if the ghost powers weren't involved. he's just unfortunately walking into the room at the worst time.

i appreciate that her grandmother is more open to sam's antics, it's nice to see an older portrayal of an adult not be senile and rude. she's a fun-having woman who only wants the best for her granddaughter, but also wants her granddaughter to just have fun. it's v cute and sweet.

so yknow those comics that people make about how danny just transforms blatantly in the open sometimes bc the animators are tryna show off of a little. this is probably one of the most show-off-my-powers one yet. he literally jumps on top of a truck while STILL HUMAN, leaps off the back of it and transforms midair, and then launches himself up. which is BEYOND extra when you consider there's police literally coming down the road as he does this.

the goth dude walking up to danny and spray-painting his shirt black, then proudly saying "you're one of us now" was so fucking real, that was GENUINE. this episode has so many fucking one-liners that got me laughing so hard. the fentons getting antsy over being mocked for wearing jumpsuits, which are admittedly cool af (thank you evangelion for teaching me that). the smash cut from sam saying "lancer let us out" to lancer trapped in the closet screaming "LET ME OUT."

i really would like to know if the staff freakshow uses has some sorta of ties to the ghost zone, or if it was just the episode macguffin. bc lorewise, what if pariah dark used this shit or something in the past? or idk, it links back to the origins of the ghost zone? any they introduce artifacts that can interact with ghosts, i just wanna know WHERE it came from. what's THE LORE.

THEY LITERALLY GOT A RESTRAINING ORDER IN PLACE FOR A 14-YEAR OLD TO STAY AWAY FROM THEIR DAUGHTER, WHAT THE FUCK DUDE, thanks danny phantom for making me google if that's even a thing (yes it is, but there's gotta be legitimate reasons)

this episode ends up diminishing phantom's reputation with the town since he gets forced into committing crimes against both vendors and literal police in broad daylight (or moonlight). i suppose that's supposed to explain away why people backtrack on trusting him, but even so, i find it odd that previous alliances dont get brought up again.

sam's grandmother calls sam 'bubeleh,' which iirc is a Jewish term of endearment for someone you cherish? it's nice to see a subtle nod towards Jewish family and beliefs, it's a really cute lil detail that i love.

i really wish this show had been preserved in something higher than 360p, because there's shots and sequences in here that look fantastic, and im sure would be GORGEOUS in 480p or higher. the shot of sam falling off the train while danny dives to save her, despite still being under the influence of the crystal, it'd be nice to see that in any higher resolution. because this is what it looks like at 360p.

maybe my source just doesnt have the DVD uploads and this was recorded from somewhere else? i dunno

this episode almost feels like it could be a season finale if it had been given a 1 hour block treatment maybe? like the makings are all there, and danny ruining his reputation for the forseeable future has potential in the episode itself. there's literally a line where danny says "hey what if we stayed behind to explain to authority what happened to us" and the other ghosts just run bc they dont wanna. so danny has to just forgo apologizing to the public for his actions and leave the broken glass where it lies. i could imagine a sequence of danny walking out of the train and trying to explain what happened to overbearing and hateful figures, with a good chunk of people believing him and others dont. but this is once again me writing a fanfic in my own rewatch, so dont mind my rambles

freakshow is a fine villain, far from a favourite. it's weird how he's almost like a ghost despite being human. his family was supposedly controlling ghosts for centuries using the crystal artifact, which just leads to more questions as to where they got it, how long has it existed, did his family know about ghosts and for how long, etc. more lore for the graphic novel to exploit im sure teehee

fun episode, banger jokes, good sequence at the end of danny redeeming himself by saving sam, her grandmother kicks ass.

enough higuing today OK: im rly liking the different protags btw meakashi shion pov and now the rena bits it works VERY WELL! But it also rly makes sense that the first 3 had to be keiichi because to understand renas/shions/rly anyone elses thoughts you have to understand some things about hinamizawa itself so making us play from the pov of a guy who just got here? its kinda the only option. I think those last tips r from the "evil rika" by the way so like demon allegations never stop with her + sonozakis. which of course makes SENSE three families n all that. i think satokos outbursts seem sort of normal for a traumatized child and as i said before; rena can do ANYTHING and ill forever just be able to brush it off with a "ohh shes a weird girl i guess :P" and now that she killed 2 people again i am not changing this statement in the slightest. She can just do that. Let her do whatever the hell she wants ETC. But clearly not a demon from three families with how she describes it all.

In shion pov she did actually call this "evil rika" a demon too so calling her that suffices for now. They do keep saying that the elderly think of rika as a reincarnation of oyashiro. i mean i dont think id be too off the mark to just call that "evil rika" oyashiro but i think its a term made up by the villagers instead of her REAL name so im just gonna call her "evil rika" until they provide me a better way to call her.

I also think that she will be the way this ties into umineko. I know a few facts... 1. theres a character with the same voice casting i dont remembr her name but u know the one who kinda looks like her anyways 2. the playing order should be higurashi first if at all and then umineko because theres characters who will refer to something that happened in higurashi/something youll understand if you have played higurashi... But like even aside from this kinda meta information i know theres a girl who looks like rika a lil too much. OH IDEA? Its just another oyashiro reincarnation 8 generations before or 8 generations after higurashi. Ok that might be jumping to conclusions a little but just something to state so itll be funny to look back at either if that happens OR its actually super false as hell

...as a matter of fact I used to think the other umineko character looked a LOT like satoko but i saw her on the tl the other day i think n i dont think so anymore. Color palettes more similar to miyo takano if i HAD to choose n that seems like a stretch too. OK but i need to mute the wtc tags though because were in peak spoiler territory i feel... Ok.

Also last thing: that time of rena stating she wants to go back in time immediately cut to all of the guys having a nice time without a single mention of the people rena killed (ofc - keiichi pov) but in a way RIGHT NOW? its kinda out in the open if that DID happen until we get rena pov again which i find a little fun.

Oh but one thing does still bother me to no end... Renas mentions of seeing oyashiro before makes literally no sense with the information we have so far. BUT ONCE AGAIN. renas just kinda weird. Maybe thats a conclusion she made because well shes a little weird and also mentioned to be like actually mentally ill. Man how did they write a character like that where shes my absolute #1 favorite no shot but then i trust literally nothing she says??? So funny. Love her
