after the war when Gwash is president and Alex treasury secretary (beefing with That Other Manwhore on a daily basis), Jefferson finds out they're father and son after a frankly embarrassing amount of time has passed,,,, and they just start gaslighting the absolute shit out of him, pretending that this has never been a secret actually?? umm we were not hiding this. that's crazy why would you think that. yeah we assumed this was common knowledge. of course I address him as Sir I'm not calling the president Dad in the middle of a cabinet meeting. Jefferson do you need to sit down. or leave maybe. please leave ❤️

private lessons ⋆。°✩ chapter 4 ⟢
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
warnings: poor writing as i had a lot going on and low-key forgot i was even working on anything, new character makes an appearance, tiny bit of angst
word count: around 1,8k
authors note: y’all i’m not dead yet unfortunately, anyways here’s to all the baddies that are still reading 🫶🏻 you have a special spot in my heart (right next to bada’s eyebags) - 🍞
little shoutout to @luvleyk for motivating me to write again 🫶🏻
Tumblr media
your feet swung around as you slowly sipped on your iced coffee, lips lightly wrapped around a glass straw. you thanked bada for the sweet treat, while bada thanked herself for deciding to take you here. what she deemed as a “nice gesture” was a way of preventing herself from straight up pouncing on you. you weren’t the only one who’s had sleepless nights after your “private lessons” with her. she’s reminded of it every time she walks past her dining table, sits down to eat or drinks her coffee. she keeps reminding herself to not let this go too far, not to fall in too deep, before it’s too late. she has a reputation to keep. she knows she can’t go all in, just yet. and being in a public setting saved her from doing so.
if she wasn’t your teacher could this be considered a date? you thought to yourself looking up at her, stealing glances at her and seeing her give you a soft smile in exchange. you look down immediately, shaking off the thought as it made you realise the situation. why do you always forget the actual reason she meets up with you? freaking tutoring. she’s your goddamn teacher, get a grip you crazy woman.
“oh my, is the coffee that good?” she chuckles, catching you off guard with her hand resting on her chin as she admires you, making you snap back to reality and realise you’ve been sucking on air for a while as you’ve already finished your coffee without noticing. you mentally face palm, closing your eyes in embarrassment, letting the straw go in a swift motion. “umm yeah! it was! i think they maybe might be putting… something illegal in it-“ you tried covering up your act of distraction once again.
“aww, even better than the one i made for you? that’s such a pity. i made it with love.” she fake pouts, pretending to act hurt by your words. “no! what? definitely not! doesn’t even stand a chance! yours was soooo much better, i just didn’t get the chance to fully drink it because i-“ here you go mumbling again, being too honest because you’re nervous. thankfully you stopped yourself before you could embarrass yourself even further, but fate of course made other plans for you.
“poor thing, couldn’t finish her coffee because her lips were too busy tasting mine. is that it?” she chuckles enjoying the way your eyes widen slightly, back to sipping on the straw with nonexistent coffee, the ice making your overheated brain freeze. oh how she loved teasing you, the way your body and face respond to her without you having to say a single word. she wouldn’t admit how weak she was for it, for you. “i’m just messing with you sweetie, we both know that was my fault.” she assures you, hand smoothing over yours gently. as she enjoyed your company, she almost didn’t notice the strange figure standing across the table, looking at the both of you from a sight distance. what the hell is he doing here? she shoots him a warning glare, not going unnoticed by your admiring eyes, filling them with worry.
“huh?” you turn your head in curiosity, trying to follow her gaze, but she grabbed a hold of your chin before you could do so. you could only look up at her, confusion painting your features. “shh.. don’t you worry about that, sweetie. it’s someone not important. you don’t have to wrap your mind around it.” your eyebrow furrowed in more confusion, causing her to coo at you. “i don’t want you to stress your poor little brain. it’s just someone from the past. but you’re my present, okay? that’s what matters.” she leans in closer, whispering to you reassuringly. oh.. is it her ex? you were so curious what she looks like, why they broke up, and why she doesn’t want you to see her in the first place. is it because you’re her student? is it because she’s just playing around with you? you’d surely hope not..
many questions flood your mind as you hear footsteps approaching you, seeing her face twist in pure irritation. “stay still for me, princess.” she mumbles under her breath as her thumbs make their way against your lip, the rest of her hand cupping your face as she presses her lips against them, the barrier between your lips both electrifying and slightly confusing. oh how you wish to feel her lips against yours, to have them stained bright red instead of her thumbs that shielded them..
she strokes your lip gently as you obey, closing your eyes monumentally. you hear a rough voice scoffing mumbling out a few curse words. huh..? a man? it’s a man? her ex is a man?!! your eyes open, searching for hers in approval as she nods at you, her lip stroking your bottom lip as she slowly pulls away. “good girl, did so well for me without asking..” she offers you a relieved smile as the figure walks from her sight, a soft sigh leaving her lips. “mrs. lee who was-“ you try asking her what this was all about, but she shushes you with a simple word. “nono, you don’t get to ask any questions right now. as i said.. don’t wrap your pretty head about it, hm? such a pretty girl shouldn’t worry about things like these.” you chew on your bottom lip, nodding at her despite feeling slightly hurt by her actions. why didn’t she just kiss you for real then.. is it because you’re in public? did she not want to? or did she just use you to make her ex jealous? so many questions flooded your mind but she was quick to calm you down, grabbing your hand and gently guiding you up, taking you back to her car. you sigh thinking you ruined the mood and she’s going to take you home. she opens the door for you, and sits down next to you, not putting on a seatbelt on either of you, puzzling your mind.
“now tell me what’s on your mind honey, what’s making you sad?” she turns her body to you, giving you all her attention. oh, she took you here for your comfort and privacy, what a woman. you chew on your bottom lip, looking at her red painted lips and back at her eyes. “why.. did you pretend to kiss me?” you stutter out, trying not to sound weak. your question caught her off guard, her eyebrows raising in panic. “i’m sorry sweetie, i didn’t want to make you uncomfortable, i should have warned you.”
you shake your head fast, tears threatening to fall any second. “that’s not that i mean..” you look down, trying to keep yours emotions in check. why were you getting so hurt over such a thing? it’s not like you’re a couple or anything. “what did you mean, sweetie? come on, use your words.” she lifts your head with her finger on your chin, eyes meeting yours. how can she fluster you in such a situation?
“why didn’t you kiss me for real? were you ashamed.. or something?” you manage to get out as tears cloud your vision, feeling pathetic for having such feelings. she gasps not expecting your reason to be this, she was afraid you didn’t like the fact she tried to kiss you, yet the truth was far from that. “oh you silly little thing.. you thought i didn’t want to kiss you? the only reason i took you there was to restrain myself from kissing you again” she frowns seeing yours tears. “baby.. i would never want to make you cry..” she speaks out gently, her thumb stroking your cheek, rubbing at the tears staining them. “at least not in this way…” you look up at her with teary eyes, lost and about to question her words, but she crashes her lips against yours, making you gasp. more tears slide down your cheeks as you finally feel her lips on yours after what felt like ages of agony and torture of not tasting them. the faint aftertaste of bitterness from the coffee coating your palate becoming sweetly addicting to you. she strokes your cheek, hand gripping your jaw as she deepens the kiss, leaving you gasping for air as she swallows it all up. the windows of her car becoming foggy with every passing second of her lips devouring you. she pulls away, her eyes slightly watery at the sight of your tears drying up on your cheeks as she pulls you into her lap, her uneven breathing matching yours like a melody.
“never… say that again…“ she breathes out, the grip on your jaw becoming stronger as she pulls your head in closer against her lips again, coating them in tender kisses. “how could i not want to kiss you? do you even know how hard is it for me not to push you up against my table and kiss you ever time you walk into the classroom? claim you as mine? let everyone know you only belong to me?” you gasp looking up at her, her red lipstick smeared across both of your lips as you shake your head at her question.
“exactly sweetheart, you have no idea about so many things.. and they aren’t for little girls like you to worry about. be a good girl and leave them to mommy.” she breathes against your lips, hand gripping your waist making you feel like putty in her hands, being able to only nod at her command. you swear you feel yourself getting dizzy, the earlier feelings of sadness long gone and replaced by extreme waves of warmth spreading through out your whole body. she gives you one last passionate kiss, this one more gentle than the previous ones as she pulls away, resting her head on top of your head, twirling at your hair as you try to calm your breathing.
“you fit so nicely in my lap, you know that?” you blush at her remark, hands wrapped around her neck as you look up at her with glossy eyes, fingers reaching out to rub at the corners of her smudged lips, wiping away at the messed up lipstick the same way she did when you first kissed. “then don’t let me leave it..” you whisper, feeling one of her hands grip your waist harder as she looks at you in awe. as if she was in a trance. whatever spell you put on her was working, you’ve officially broken her and made her melt. all hopes and plans she had beforehand were no longer a choice, thrown out the window along with any rational thinking as she crashed her lips against yours once more, hand cradling your head, unable to hold back her desire anymore.

The Spider and the FBI: Part 8 "They didn't teach that at Arthur Murray"
Tumblr media
Synopsis by guest writer Jose Chung:
Ah, the Fourth of July, a time for fireworks, patriotism, and apparently, romantic entanglements amidst the chaos. Picture this: a bustling square, teeming with folks eager for the grand spectacle, but beneath the surface lies a whirlwind of emotions fit for a daytime soap opera. Enter Scully, a woman consumed by turmoil, and Skinner, a man with a penchant for authority and perhaps a dash of jealousy.
Their heated exchange, set against the backdrop of exploding fireworks, is a symphony of passion and misunderstanding, punctuated by the crackle of gunfire—a plot twist that even I couldn't have scripted better myself. But wait, amidst the chaos, a moment of unexpected tenderness unfolds, proving that love, like fireworks, can ignite in the most unlikely of places. So, grab your popcorn and buckle up, folks, because this Fourth of July just got a whole lot more intriguing!
Preface:
If anyone is wondering about the reference to Arthur Murray, it’s an old school of dance that is still, unbelievably, still in operation. Actually, there’s one not far from me, and each time I drive past it, I grin.
Note the employment of a flashback in this part that I was really, really thinking about taking out, however, it serves as part of the narrative, and I set decided to visually set it apart with a varying font that I hope I can emulate in the different platforms I post this in.
“They didn’t teach that at Arthur Murray”
Part 8 ‘The Spider and the FBI’
By PR Chung
It was nearly dark when Walter Skinner stepped inside the Elmo Sheriff's station. He pushed through the double glass doors and was greeted by the striking sight of a statuesque woman who promptly stood. She gave him a cautious once over before recognition registered in her eyes.
"You must be Walter Skinner," she said as he approached the desk.
"Yes," he answered, reluctantly accepting the fact she had noticed the resemblance between himself and Lawrence because he had not met her before when they brought Bernstein in for holding. The fact that he was actually wearing some of Lawrence's clothing probably helped her identify him as well.
"Sheriff Durokoff and your partner just left a few moments ago, sir." She explained as Skinner took note of her nametag pinned immediately above her left breast: S. GREENBOW.
"She's n-" Skinner broke off his explanation that she wasn't his partner and just nodded. "I know," he said having been wakened by Scully's call only a half an hour before. He knew there were materials being sent from the Albany Sheriff's office, better Gryzwac's mug shots he hoped; the first batch sent then successive copies had only been grotesque blotches of toner. Anything would be good right now considering there was still no word from the agents that were coming from Casper. "We were expecting faxes, have they been sent yet?"
"Better yet, Mr. Skinner," she announced turning to pick up a folder lying on the desk behind her. She was poetically no-nonsense in manner, efficient and courteously respectful. "Scanned and e-mailed just before you came in." She explained handing him the folder.
Why hadn't they done this earlier, damn it? He wondered, opening the folder immediately to check the information sent.
"Apparently, the holiday schedule left Albany without someone who fully understood the resources available to them."
Skinner glanced at her feeling surprised by her answering his thoughts precisely.
Up close like this he realized how extraordinarily pretty she was- most men might have said even drop dead gorgeous, but he was not one to hand out such ample endorsements. Her hair looked incredibly thick although she had it pulled back into a single smart braid, her brows were dark with a perfect siren arch over almond eyes, and her creamy complexion was laid over high cheekbones that suggested a Native American heritage.
"I'm glad Lawrence didn't have that problem today." He remarked returning to his study of the papers before him.
"If you don't mind me saying so," she began to say drawing his attention upward again. "Your resemblance to Sheriff Durokoff is... remarkable."
She smiled and it was delicately flirtatious.
After a moment, not knowing how to respond, Skinner averted his eyes, biting the inside of his lower lip before speaking. "How's Bernstein doing?" he asked briskly, closing the folder. "Been giving you any trouble?"
Her smile withered. "No, sir."
"Good. You're not here alone are you?" He wondered first then glanced toward the hall that led down to the holding cells located at the center of the building.
"No, sir," she answered again, her tone stilted. "There are two other deputies here."
Gesturing with the folder as he took a step back, he nodded and offered a crisp half smile, saying, "thanks for the help."
“Enjoy the show tonight.” Greenbow said as Skinner started to leave.
“Sorry?”
She smiled. “The fireworks show.”
He hesitated a moment, thinking of all the activity in town. “Right. Thanks again.”
Outside the Sheriff's station, the air was filled by the smell of tasty food and the sound of music tirelessly playing in the square. The streets were lined with parked cars, windows draped in blankets as their owners camped out atop the vehicles, ready for the coming fireworks display.
Skinner heard people cheering for a crowd-pleasing number the band was just beginning when he strolled across the street to begin his search of the square for signs of Scully and Lawrence.
Repetitive guitar strumming filtered over the sound system set up in the park, the crowd hooting and hollering as it stopped and then started along a completely different chord, a little musician's trick to throw a crowd.
Hackneyed, Skinner thought as he passed the buzzing lighted sign board with one bulb out and a 't' dangling off the word celebration in the announcement: Elmo, See fireworks here, 2nd Annual 4th of July celebration. Why just the second? He wondered, picking his way around the thick blanket of people camped out on the grass waiting for the Oooohs and Ahhhhs to begin.
The closer he got to the band stand he encountered fewer people sitting, more and more were pressing their way toward the band and the meager dance floor that had been laid out for the occasion.
* "You've got your little ways to hurt me. You know just how to tear me up and leave me in small pieces on the ground."*
Skinner heard the singer begin to holler into the microphone, the band filling in behind his voice with a bawdy sound that wasn't half-bad. The crowd surged with applause and pressed closer to the sound pushing him back out to the fringes of the masses. It was just as well, he thought skirting the back end of the crowd, searching as he went for a single red head he'd lost track of for almost the entire day.
It was no one’s fault but his own she'd been in Lawrence's company most of the day. He tried to believe the fact that he was too tired to join them for lunch, but in all honesty he had only wanted to avoid as much contact with Lawrence as possible, and an excellent job he'd apparently done. He really had been pretty hungry, he could remember being hungrier though, he'd live. But good lord the food smelled good... Maybe, he thought, he could have suffered Lawrence's company just little while— and if only he had...
Well, then this wouldn't have been going on—
* "You've got your little ways to hurt me, They're not too big but they're real tough Just one cold look from you can knock me down..." *
Skinner froze, glaring at the sight of Scully and Lawrence on the dance floor. They were nearly standing still next to the other dancers who appeared to be moving on skates they were gliding through a two-step so gracefully. Scully was laughing, hand in hand with Lawrence who was apparently trying to show her a dance step that she was just not getting.
* "To look at you and me, no one would ever know the pain that I've endured 'cause I won't let it show..." *
Adding to his dismay, Skinner realized it wasn't just the band, but the crowd was cheering for but the antics of their courageous Sheriff and his dance partner.
His eyes grew narrow and dark. What the hell happened to keeping a low profile? He scrutinized the scene, bracing himself against some invisible wall as memories trembled through his mind. This wasn't wait he had expected to find. But what then? She had spent the whole damn day with him. You knew, he told himself. You knew and you didn't do a damn thing about it.
* "My friends would laugh out loud if they only knew The truth about how I am just your lovesick fool..." *
Something in him told him to turn away, but another part- perhaps an older, wiser, braver part of him stopped the retreat. This was inappropriate behavior for an agent, drawing needless attention to her presence—this needed to stop. He started through the throng of spectators as the chorus began to roll out of the overhead speakers...
* "You've got your little ways to hurt me, They're not too big but they're real tough..." *
*************************
"Here you go, hon."
"Well, thank you kindly, darlin." The man said taking his plate away with a huge grin across his face. "Could you be a sweetheart n'tell me when the fir'works r'gonna' be startin'?"
"Uh, well, soon as it gets dark."
He tipped his chin. "Much obliged. Much obliged"
Marie frown as she watched him go, wondering why he was dressed so warm for the weather- it just wasn't cool enough for that jacket, she thought and then wondered why his voice had sounded so odd, almost like he'd been trying to sound like he had an accent.
She watched him disappear through the crowd seeing how he was hobbling a little in boots that looked too small for a man his size.
She leaned closer to the woman working the serving line with her. "Wanda, did you hear how he talked?"
"Who?" Wanda said glancing around briefly not having much time or interest in anything except not sloshing hot barbecue sauce all over her hand.
"That fella I just waited on. Did you hear how he sounded?"
"No, why?"
"I think he was making fun of us."
Wanda handed the plate of ribs off to one man who disappeared allowing yet another to step up to the counter then looked at Marie. "Us? How'd I git' involved in this?"
"No, not just you and me, us, as in us- the town, country folk."
Wanda just looked at her. "I don't know what the hell you're talkin'bout."
******************************
Red faced and laughing breathlessly Scully finally came to a rest on a bench she'd vacated just in time. Durokoff followed, plopping down next to her. He blew out a great breath and laughed again, shaking his head.
"I have never been so embarrassed in all my life," she declared between spasms of laughter.
"Oh, sure you have..." he said. "I'm the one who’s never been so embarrassed in my life."
Scully's laughter stopped abruptly as she jerked her startled eyes up at him.
He looked at her, trying to be very serious but didn't manage it for long. He laughed and patted her on the back. "I'm only teasing."
She smiled shaking her head. "How could you drag me out there in the middle of all that?"
"Moi," he placed his open hand on his chest, mocking offense. "All I did was ask you to dance. They did the rest," he gestured toward the crowd surrounding the dance floor. "I didn't think that was gonna' happen for one minute. Geez."
He could be so countrified, and she believed it was conscious at times, but Scully found it endearing, much like everything about him. She realized she had really become quite taken with this man, and she also recognized the reason she had been so easily, in such a brief period of time.
The answer was only so obvious before it became trite. He was, for all reasons and purposes, the next best thing to a man she foresaw no future with. A man who showed only marginal interest and could show no more, too respectful of proper place and appropriate behavior. In no way was that a terrible thing, it only made him that much more desirable.
"I have a confession to make," she said and saw the wariness pinch at the corners of his eyes. "I was really shocked when I saw you this morning."
"Really, why's that? Hadn't Walter mentioned..."
She was already shaking her head. "I know very little about your cousin's... my superior's life. He's a very private man."
Durokoff's brow creased. "So, there isn't anything between the two of you?"
Scully all but spun on the seat, looking at him, utterly shocked.
"Oh," he said in response to her reaction, pulling his head back in surprise. "I guess not, then."
"No," she laughed, mildly astonished.
"Well, I thought..." he paused looking thoughtfully at the ground, then said, "Well, I don't know what I thought, actually."
Scully tilted her head, cocking a brow. "Yeah, well..."
Durokoff sighed and brushed at something invisible on his thigh. "I was pretty surprised to see you- I mean all of you, that is, this morning," he seemed to be stammering a bit. "I haven't seen Walter in quite some time. I wasn't even really sure it was him at first." He reached up and pulled his hat off fully for the first time since they had met. "Not since before this apparently happened to both of us," he said and grinned.
"Why has it been so long?"
Durokoff shrugged resting the hat over his knee. "A lot of different reasons. We just drifted apart the way family drifts apart over the years. After his mom died, mine and the other sisters tried to keep everyone together, keep Walter within the family celebrations and holiday events but I think after he came back from Viet Nam things really changed. His father died and after that he didn't seem very interested in gatherings or any of the traditions they were trying to keep alive in the family."
He shrugged again. "But he just kept to himself." A ponderous moment passed between them and then Durokoff shook his head, saying, "anyway, now that I've completed my geography slash philosophy lesson for the day... Do you wish to know more about genealogy? Perhaps a slide show or home movies- A sample of DNA to take back to your laboratory.?"
Scully chuckled and touched his arm. "I don’t' have a lab. I hardly have a desk."
"Huh?" He frowned.
She shook head. "That's all right. I feel like I've just snuck through your cousin's closet or drawers as it is."
"His drawers, huh?"
She nodded her head, laughing harder. "Yes, his drawers."
Durokoff joined in her laughter, managing to a few words in between chortles. "I'll be sure to mention this to him."
"No, ho, ho..." she said giggling and gripping his arm harder as if to support herself.
He laid his hand over hers and she looked up in surprise at his touch.
Their laughter drifted, replaced by wondering as they met one another's gaze.
"I really like this," he said with a gentle smile and touched her upper lip with the tip of his thumb, lightly brushing the small beauty mark there.

Norwalk Senior High School Stary Night Dance Friday, March 22, 1968
*”Drop your silver in my tambourine, Help a poor man fill a pretty dream”*
"Hey, Cubby, where's Ruby?" Skinner recalled Fred Huggins calling to him at high school dance. The guy had materialized out of nowhere at his side. Great, he thought ruefully, this was just the last person he needed to see right now.
"She's here..." a sixteen-year-old Walter Skinner answered, feeling the condensation on the two cups of punch he was holding threatening his grip. Feeling like a real simp.
"I don't see her," Huggins said, craning his head to scan the dance floor.
"She's here." Walter growled trying to adjust his grip on the cups, hearing the least befitting song he could have thought of begin to play throughout the gymnasium- ‘My Green Tambourine.’ "Who the hell decided to play this?" He grunted jerking his gaze around at more couples swarming to the dance floor. "When the hell did this become a slow dance-"
*”Now listen while I playyyyyyyyyy….”*
"Where's Lawrence?" Huggins briskly asked.
"I don't know." Walter began to glower at the rotund, pimply-faced boy beside him. He knew what he was getting at, and he didn't like it. "He's here, too, I guess."
"You sure?"
"Yes, I'm sure-" Walter blurted at him jerking his hands with irritation, sloshing the punch from the cups, barely missing his beige tuxedo pants. "Damn it," he yelped taking a quick step back.
"Better be careful," Huggins cautioned. "That stuff is like acid. I think that red color does some bad stuff to your insides."
"What?" Walter looked at him with frank bewilderment.
"Do you think that color is natural? Have you ever seen that color in nature-?"
Walter shook his head hard, trying to clear it of this nonsense. "Here," he said shoving one of cups of punch into Huggins chubby fingers. "Just hold this for me and be quiet."
"Isn't that Ruby over there?" Huggins suddenly said stretching his neck like a giraffe.
Walter looked, ducking, and weaving to see through the ocean of stumblebums. "Where-?"
"Right there..." Huggins pointed and Walter froze.
There she was, his date, across the crowded room and draped over Lawrence like a finely woven piece of silk.
Walter just stared at the two of them dancing, rooted in place, and feeling like a dumbass all over again until he realized...
Elmo, Wyoming July 4th, 1999
Skinner stared across the square, spotting them. They weren't dancing at all but sitting on a secluded bench just beyond a field of blankets and happy faces, just the other side of cavorting children. And it wasn’t his date Ruby anymore that Lawrence was leaning toward...
This is absolutely inappropriate! The mind of the Assistant Director trumpeted while Walter "Cubby" Skinner's first instinct was to go grab his cousin by the scruff of his neck and shake him around like a rag doll.
************************
Dana Scully was enchanted.
Durokoff's touch was soothing, and his voice was filled with earnest emotion. She didn't resist or withdraw when he pressed his lips to hers. For just an instant, a moment when he had hesitated to look in her eyes, perhaps searching for some argument or permission from her, she wasn't looking into a stranger’s eyes. She didn't see Lawrence Durokoff...
"Agent Scully!"
The sound startled her. She jerked back and turned around to see Skinner glaring at her, at both of them. "Sir-?" She exclaimed, immediately standing, shame faced, and guilt ridden.
"Scully, what are you doing, have you lost all sense of duty?"
"I-" she hesitated; her voice seized by humiliation.
"Walter..." Durokoff started, making a helpless sort of placating gesture as he stood. “Don’t, this is my fault.”
Skinner snapped his attention at him, directing a glare of glacial proportions at him. "What kind of a department can you possibly be running in this town while you're out fraternizing?"
"Fraternizing—?"
"No, sir," Scully suddenly said, responding to the last question he had spat at her. Her voice was suddenly succinct, ridged and evenly formal. "I assure you that my sense of duty and obligation is solidly in place."
Skinner looked at her, pissed on all fronts. Their gazes locked in silent battle- cold persecution and blistering resentment passing between them. "Excuse me." she said tightly.
He watched her go, his feelings and thoughts a boiling tumult of agony and yearning, disillusion, and regret.
"You know, Walter," Durokoff said as he slapped his hat back down over his head, annoyed and disgusted. "You're just like your father."
He looked at him, scrutinizing him for a second, before telling his cousin, “Why don't you go climb a tree, Lawrence."
Durokoff seemed confused for instance before his eyes widened, realizing what Skinner had just referenced. Before the man could react, Skinner turned to leave, to find Scully.
*************************
Only a hint of iridescence was left in the western sky- faint bluish lavender caressing the mountain crests. It was dark now for all intents and purposes and the fireworks would begin soon with great booms, shrieking whistles and popping crackles, the air filling with the smell of nitrates and sulfur, drifting smoke, and clamorous cheers.
Overkill perhaps, Gryzwac considered as he screwed the silencer onto the muzzle of his gun. He did this in complete darkness, below the narrow stream of streetlight cascading through the windshield of the truck, working with the components of his labor by feel rather than sight. How often had he done this in the dark, pitch-blackness covering his approach, his intent?
He laid the gun beside him on the seat, slipping it under a paper sack, waiting and watching the hurried activity of the locals before him.
The truck windshield had a crack in it, running the width and splintering off into a web-like pattern on the passenger’s side, still he had an excellent view of the Sheriff's station. Just three deputies, he had counted inside, then counted himself lucky for the premium view again.
He'd managed to find a parking spot for the beat and rusted ford pickup he'd taken in Devil Speak (he loved the names of these towns, they had real style and creativeness), between cars parked on either side of an alley way. Sure, he knew he took the risk of catching attention for the illegal parking job, blocking an entrance and all that jazz, but so far so good.
He was confident there was just too much going on for any of the yokel cops to be inspecting the parking situations along side streets. Although, there sure the hell weren't very many side streets in this town. Just as well, fewer streets between him and the highway once this was done...
**************************
Amidst the bustling activity in the square, with people scurrying to their makeshift seating arrangements for the upcoming show, Scully felt a storm of reactions. The initial hum of nighttime insects was drowned out by the flurry of movement. Even the band on stage was in constant motion, preparing for the fireworks.
Scully's mind, however, was far from the music. She was consumed by turmoil, grappling with feelings of bitterness, indignation, and embarrassment. She yearned for a moment of solitude to collect her thoughts yet feared that overthinking would only worsen her state.
As she sought refuge under a gazebo, she surprised herself by accepting a cigarette from a passing stranger. Once a rebellious act against her father, it now symbolized a desperate attempt to soothe her nerves in adulthood.
Seated on the bench, Scully reflected on her recent actions with a mix of disbelief and regret. How had she allowed herself to become so infatuated and blind to reality? Her fixation on Durokoff, mistaking him for someone he wasn't, allowing herself to forsake her principles and lose sight of her true self.
She puffed on the cigarette, growing angrier at herself, and Skinner
And damn him! How could he have berated her like that?
She knew full well there was a pre-existing problem between him and Durokoff, common differences or some feud caused by a stolen marble during childhood- who knew, but damned if she would be the new crux of their contest.
Durokoff had been genuine in his attentiveness, she wanted to believe this yet couldn't help but feel he'd been vying for her, seducing her on some low-key level- was she to be another trophy, another victory? Another marble in the sack?
Skinner, blustering and masking personal emotion- and that's all it was- spouting policy and etiquette— How could he allow himself to accuse her of personal indulgence?
She drew on the cigarette, blowing out a furious puff of smoke.
Damn that hypocrite!
If she wasn't so mad she thought she might have cried. She was quivering, a mass of vexation, confusion- humiliation, and that was the real issue to draw tears about. Mortification that her weakness had been exposed, that her insensibility to let Durokoff kiss her had been splayed out before Walter Skinner.
Another angry puff, “damn it.”
"What the hell are you doing? Put that damn thing out!"
The boom of Skinner’s voice caused her to jump. She turned her eyes up to him, tiny daggers flying at him as she exhaled and stood. "Yes, sir,” she contemptuously reacted.
Skinner was on the gazebo stairs, hovering one step away from entering, watching as she tossed the cigarette away, promptly sending it into a birdbath just outside the gazebo with a hiss.
"What the hell has gotten into you, Scully?" He questioned her, his brow drawn with emphatic confusion. “What was going on back there? Allowing yourself to be distracted like that? Completely off-guard at a critical time like this? There’s no luxury to explore options here, Scully.”
“Options?” She repeated, stunned arrogance and the implication of her intentions. The begging sounds of crackling and popping fireworks punctuated her statement.
“Come on, you’re smarter than this,” he disparaged her, “a guy like Lawrence has one thing in mind. I’m disappointed you’d fall for his tactics.”
“And you are the last person I thought I’d hear such arrogance from, not to mention petty jealousy to the point of insulting my discretion, both professionally and personally.”
“I don’t know what you’re suggesting—”
“I’m not suggesting anything— I’m stating the obvious.”
“It’s like you’re deliberately trying to piss me off.”
“And why would I do that?”
“I don’t know!”
Fireworks boomed above them outside of the shelter of the gazebo, flashes of sparkling light flickered and danced, illuminating the crowd of people just feet away, entirely enthralled by the spectacle above and totally ignorant of the heated argument behind them.
“I think you do— you think I was trying to get a reaction from you—”
“You’re imagining things,” he scoffed.
“You know, Bernstein was right,” she declared, “he warned me that I was going to end up in some puerile tug of war between the two of you.”
“Is that what you think? That’s there’s some competition going on here?” he was incensed.
“Isn’t there? Really? It’s so obvious, it’s glaring!” she exclaimed, “you’re so absorbed by some protracted dispute between the two of you, whether it be those dance classes you had to take alone, or that he stole all your marbles in a rigged game, or your date at the Clodhopper’s Ball in the school gym— Regardless, I— I got sucked into the middle, and became the prize marble.”
He just stared at her.
The sound of the fireworks display was increasing, building in intensity, the finale soon to come, delighting all spectators.
Scully watched him for a moment, her mouth pulling into a pout. “I’m not a marble.”
He looked back at her and appeared to be mulling over her statement.
Then, his expression unreadable, he nodded, and explicitly said, “it wasn’t the Clodhopper’s Ball.”
“Wha—?”  Her confusion was broken by his suddenness, a motion so abrupt and criminal it took her breath.
In that very moment Skinner took her into his embrace and placed his mouth on hers the world outside erupted, massive bursts of fireworks exploded simultaneously, filling the air with thunderous booms and crackles that reverberate through the night. In a breathtaking climax, the entire sky was lit with an array of colors, creating a mesmerizing tapestry of light and sound. The crowd cheered and applauded, their hearts full of joy and appreciation for the spectacle unfolding.
And every boom, every crackle, and every burst of cheers was a mere hush. All the flashes, all the brilliance of light unnoticed. The only thing Scully was aware of was the soft sigh when their lips touched, a shared breath of release in that pinnacle moment. Their kiss, this first touch, began abruptly only to slow as they treasured the moment becoming lost between right and wrong.
Her senses in a whirl, Scully needed a moment and tried to draw away. They merely watched one another, the dwindling display of fireworks casting shadows across their silent faces.
Scully’s mouth drew into a pleased smile, an entertaining thought occurring to her. "They didn't teach that at Arthur Murray, did they?" she teased him gently.
He shook his head, flicking his brow with diluted amusement. "Nope."
They didn't need the weight of words to burden their decision to continue what had taken so much of them to start. Skinner closed his mouth over hers with an earnestness that conveyed promises and desires in this kiss, that she return with an equaled response.
They were vaguely aware of the end of the fireworks display, and the crowd beginning to shuffle around them, readying to go, to enjoy more music and food. The world entirely on the periphery of a moment of enduring bliss, their lips carefully exploring the others, the entire world was tuned out—
Until they heard it, breaking through their reverie, an all too recognizable and surprising sound.
They parted quickly. "That was gun fire." Scully said, and the crowd began to murmur.
Again, rolling over the square like a whip snap, gunfire sounded just beneath the blast of rockets. Panic swept the crowd, breaking out from the far edges and moving inward, people began to scream and dash in aimless directions. Staggered the band faltered in mid song and soon were evacuating the stage.
"It's coming from the Sheriff's station," Skinner declared and rushed from the gazebo, pushing, and fighting his way through the mass of frantic people swarming in the square, Scully on his heels.
"Stay back, Scully," he called to her, "you don't have a weapon."

she’s a baddie ~ machine gun kelly
word count: 1846
request?: yes!
“Hi! I have a request for mgk (if your requests are open still) but I was thinking maybe something like colson’s girlfriend is a total badass and like has a bunch of tattoos and maybe is a rapper herself and he is kind of just gushing over her and tells everyone he can about how cool she is? <3″
description: in which he loves to gush about his badass rapper girlfriend at every opportunity
pairing: machine gun kelly x female!reader
warnings: swearing
masterlist (one, two)
Tumblr media
The minute he walked into the studio and saw her, Colson was in love.
Dom had asked Colson to be on a song with him and a long time friend of his, a fellow rapper named (Y/N). Colson agreed - he always loved to work with Dom and he loved to meet new people to collaborate with.
He wasn’t sure what he expected of (Y/N), but it definitely was not what he actually got.
(Y/N) was in the booth recording her verse. Already, her rapping abilities were for beyond even Colson’s. He was extremely impressed with her lyrics. As for her appearance: she was wearing a pair of tight, ripped jeans, a white button up dress shirt that was completely open with the sleeves rolled up, revealing the sports bra she was wearing underneath.
With all that skin exposed, Colson could see that she was nearly completely covered in tattoos. Her arms were covered in tattoo sleeves, all the way down to her hands and even fingers. There was an undercarriage tattoo poking out from under her sports bra, and another poking out from her waistband around her hip. She even had one on her neck!
She radiated badass energy, and Colson was drawn to her.
Dom looked up from where he was sat and got up to hug Colson. “Hey mate! Just in time, (Y/N) is finished her verse!”
(Y/N) had stopped rapping when she noticed the commotion outside. She was looking at Dom and Colson, as if waiting for them to tell her what to do.
“(Y/N), come meet Kells!” Dom called.
She walked out from the booth and smiled at Colson. “Nice to meet you. Dom talks so highly of you, and I’m a bit of a fan.”
Colson smiled and shook her hand. “Nice to meet you, too. Dom’s talked you up to me a lot, too. You definitely live up to the hype.”
(Y/N) tried to hide her smile to keep her cool status, but Colson could see the corners of her mouth tilting upwards. She put her hands in her pockets and shrugged modestly. “I’m okay I guess. Thanks though.”
“Her verse is amazing,” Dom said, bringing the attention back to him. “Just wait till you hear it when it’s finished.”
Colson sat with Dom to go over the verse he had written. (Y/N) sat behind them, distracting herself on her phone while the men worked. Every so often he would glance over his shoulder at her, hoping to catch her attention for even just a moment.
“She’s single mate, go for it,” Dom said in a low voice, but certainly not low enough that (Y/N) didn’t hear it.
Colson’s eyes widened and he quickly looked over his shoulder at her again. Her attention was still on her phone, but there was a knowing smile on her face.
When the three had finished in the studio and were preparing to go, Colson finally decided to talk to (Y/N). She was heading out the door when Colson approached her, falling into step beside her.
“Your tattoos are cool,” he said, immediately cringing at how lame the compliment was.
(Y/N) smiled brightly at him. “Thanks! They better be for how long they took and how much they cost. Yours are pretty sick too.”
“Thanks. A few of them are kind of old and I regret a little but that happens.”
“When you have as many as we do, you eventually regret one or two.”
There was an awkward silence as the two continued into the parking lot. Colson tried to wrack his brain for some way to save the conversation, but everything he came up with felt dumb or lame. He felt his heart fall to his stomach when (Y/N) pulled keys from her pocket and unlocked a car in front of them. He knew he’d eventually see her again, but he didn’t want their time to end just yet.
Before getting into her car, (Y/N) turned to Colson and put her hand out. “Give me your phone.”
He was taken back by such a direct request that his mind couldn’t comprehend what she had asked at first. “What?”
“Phone, unlock, give.”
Colson took his phone from his pocket and did as she asked. (Y/N) opened the contacts app on his phone and added her name and number, and even took a selfie of herself to set as the contact photo. She sent herself a text so she could have Colson’s number before passing the phone back to him.
“Let’s get drinks some time,” she told him before climbing into her car and starting it up. The roaring of the engine made Colson realize that even her car was badass.
He never would’ve guessed that that one encounter would’ve led to such a strong relationship between the two of them. Colson took (Y/N) up on her offer to go get drinks and, next thing he knew, he was waking up the next morning with her in his bed after deciding to be in a real relationship.
When the news hit the media, both of their fanbases exploded with excitement, saying how (Y/N) and Colson were perfect for one another. Even the tabloids couldn’t find a bad thing to say about the relationship. In fact, they constantly praised the two and complimented them whenever they were saw out together. As much as Colson hated the vultures that were paparazzi, it was hard to be as angry when they were actually saying nice things about him and the woman he loved.
And Colson couldn’t get enough of hyping his girl up. Even when she wasn’t there, all he did was talk about how cool and badass she was. It eventually got to a point that his friends would have to tell Colson that every time he mentioned (Y/N)’s name when she wasn’t around, they were going to hit him.
On the night of Dom’s album release, which featured the song that had brought Colson and (Y/N) together, Dom decided to throw a massive party to celebrate. Colson showed up with his friends, fashionably late as always. It didn’t take him long to navigate the large crowd to find his stunning girlfriend, who was wearing a skin tight black dress that hugged her body and came down to her thighs, paired with a pair of black stiletto heels and her hair pulled back in a braid. Colson couldn’t help but let his eyes wander over her body as he walked up behind her. He wrapped an arm around her waist and kissed her cheek, bringing her attention away from her conversation to him for just a moment.
“Sorry to steal her away,” Colson said to her conversation partner, “but I just had to tell my girlfriend how fucking stunning she looks tonight.”
A bright smile spread on (Y/N)’s face as the person she was talking to made a fake vomiting sound, but was smiling none the less.
“You don’t look too bad yourself, hot stuff,” she said with a wink. “Wanna grab a drink and I’ll be over in a minute?”
“Sounds good, baby.”
Colson kissed her head as his hand trailed from her waist to her ass, giving it a quick squeeze before walking away. (Y/N) turned and watched him go with wide eyes, but also with an amused smile on his face. He smirked to himself as he made his way to the bar.
Slim and Rook were already stood there, two empty glasses in hand but too distracted by their conversation to get refills. Colson ordered two drinks, one for himself and one for (Y/N), before looking back across the crowded room at her. An involuntary smile stretched across his face as he looked at the familiar tattoos that were peaking out from her dress.
“Bro, if you say one thing about (Y/N) I am going to punch you in the fact,” Slim said, snapping Colson out of his trance.
“What?” he said. “Dude I wasn’t going to say anything about her.”
“You have that look on your face man,” Rook pointed out. “The look that says the next thing out of your mouth is gonna be something about how badass (Y/N) is.”
The bartender passed Colson his drink and he immediately swallowed half of it. “I’m sorry for thinking my girlfriend is the coolest shit since sliced bread, but that’s how relationships are supposed to work.”
“That’s not how they’ve worked with you before,” Slim said.
“Yeah, before it was a lot of sex and PDA and eventual fighting,” Rook added.
“What I have with (Y/N) ain’t like that, guys,” Colson said. “I know I move way too fast in relationships and they all end the same way, but when I say that it was love at first sight for me with (Y/N), I mean it. I mean, look at her, how can you not love her? She’s not just another girl who wants to be all over me and gets jealous or upset when I’m gone for long because she actually understands that this is how my job works. And she likes to drink and smoke weed and party, so she’s actually fun to hang out with. On top of all that...well...just look at her! She’s smoking hot and badass as fuck. I’m sorry that I tend to talk too much about her and all, but I can’t help it. I’m really happy.”
During his speech, Colson hadn’t noticed that (Y/N) had finished with her conversation and approached the three of them. She joined the group just in time to hear how happy he was to be with her, which had managed to bring happy tears to her eyes. She tried to blink them away as to not ruin her makeup, but it was hard when Colson’s kind words were replaying in her head.
“You mean that?” she asked, causing the three men to jump and to look at her.
“Damn, you move quick girl,” Slim commented.
“How much did you hear?” Colson asked.
“Enough of it,” she responded.
Slim and Rook exchanged a glance before excusing themselves from the conversation. Colson held out (Y/N)’s drink to her and she gladly took it. She leaned into his side as he wrapped his arm around her again, fitting perfectly against him like two puzzle pieces.
“I meant every word I said,” he told her. “I think you’re the coolest chick I’ve ever met and then some. Way too good to be dating a dork like me.”
“You’re anything but a dork,” she said. “And even if you were, you’re my dork, and I can’t imagine having anyone else by my side.”
Colson smiled that adorable, goofy smile that (Y/N) loved so much. She mirrored it before leaning up to kiss his lips. His grip around her waist tightened as he held her close, never wanting to let her go.

you have an eating disorder
prompt: “you never had issues with food - that is until your boyfriend makes a remark about your weight.”
pairing: katsuki bakugo x female! reader
word count: 1.6k
warnings: MAJOR TW!! anorexia, there’s swearing
genre: fluff, angst
NOTE: this is not proofread at all and it’s kinda short, i was struggling to finish it a lot, sorry :(
you were never one to pay special attention to your diet or anything
life is short, why spend it worrying about how your body looks?
food is food man, and you need it to live
there was no fun in dieting either, it’s not like you were ever fat anyway - with daily training you were in shape!
sure there were thinner girls, but like i mentioned, you just liked enjoying food without having to worry about losing weight all the time
your boyfriend, bakugo, just does not know how to express himself
he’s not the type to really pay any mind to your figure, he finds you pretty anyway
and its a plus anyway - whenever he feels full he can just push his plate towards you and you’ll gladly finish it for him
that is until one day
you were sitting with the baku squad at lunch
mina was telling you about a new tiktok trend she had stumbled upon and found hilarious
denki was currently fighting for his life against bakugo after saying his hair looked like he was just hit by an electricity quirk before he proceeded to zap him lightly
kirishima was regretting all of his life decisions when he decided to try and help denki
sero was just sat there,, recording it so he could show them just how stupid they looked afterwards
kirishima finally managed to pull said angry-boy away from kaminari
you always said he’s like a little angry pomeranian when angry lol
back to the plot omg i got carried away
after bakugo was calm enough to take his initial seat beside you, he was already too full and just overall not hungry
so he pushed his plate towards you
“eat up, fatass.” he grumbled out
you just looked up at him with wide doe-eyes, not expecting an insult to slip off his tongue
it was bakugo, what’d you expect lmao
you looked down at the plate, suddenly feeling very not hungry anymore, instead pushing the plate away as you grabbed your bag to stand up
“actually, i’ll head up to my room, i feel a bit sick”
you immediately left after that, not seeing the confused glances the table exchanged, mina smacking bakugo’s head
you went to your room and laid down, not knowing why bakugo’s comment had made you feel upset
you never get upset when he makes dumb remarks!!
so why now!!
oh
you realised it when you were stood in front of the mirror, shirt lifted, staring at your own body
you did gain some weight.
you were upset at yourself because you usually didn’t mind!!
you know weight fluctuates, you know the small amount of chub you have will eventually pack it’s little bags and leave again
but it hurt because you wanted to be pretty for your boyfriend.
how could you be when he says you’re a fatass?
eventually, you ended up scrolling through your phone, looking at thin girls all day
you also looked up a few diets that worked very fast
by the time bakugo was aggressively knocking at your door you had closed all of the pages you were previously looking at
as soon as you swung the door open he strutted in, seating himself on your bed
“what was with you running off at lunch today?” he looked at you
you were still stood at your door like.... mm ok i guess make yourself at home
“huh? i told you, i felt a little sick.” you mumbled, closing the door again, it was getting late and you were not looking to be beheaded by aizawa
he scoffed “if you say so.” he laid down, kicking your blanket to the side
“i brought you some snacks - incase you got hungry..” he said, his face looking like >:(
he didn’t get them because he knew you liked them and wanted to make you happy! not at all!!
he just didn’t want to put up with you being whiny
that’s for sure the reason
you giggled, throwing yourself ontop of him - sounds of protest coming from him but he did wrap his arms around you
“since when are you so nice, katsuki?!” you teased
lol wrong move
in 0.01 seconds you were flipped over and held down as he started tickling you
“i’m not nice!”
the next morning you left extra early to avoid getting breakfast with bakugo
he didn’t seem to be bothered by it, he also has days where he just doesn’t feel like eating early in the morning so
it does start to bother him when that one day of skipping breakfast turned into every day
his google search bar is like
‘why does my gf not eat’
‘do girls not eat breakfast’
but this bitch is also too scared to approach you at first because he doesnt want you to know he truly cares
his ego is still too high for that
but you know better
you know he cares but sometimes you don’t feel good enough for him
you can’t help but compare yourself to other girls at your school
you distance yourself unknowingly, lost in the counting calories and exercising every day
everyone but you notices that you’re literally spiraling
you don’t notice that you look sick, skin paling and cheekbones getting more prominent every passing day
you don’t notice the growing eyebags under your eyes
all you notice is other pretty girls and how you want to look like them.
at first, your friends decide to give you some space, thinking that maybe you have to fix this within yourself and need space
and you do, but someone needs to snap you out of your little bubble
that someone is bakugo
so it goes like this
during training, he noticed your legs being a little more wobbly than usual
and he noticed that you were unfocused, not being able to dodge all of the enemies attacks
but something inside of him snaps when aizawa has to stop the fight because you were not even fighting back anymore
before aizawa even arrived in front of you, your world went black and you collapsed
bakugo was so angry at your training enemy
didn’t they fucking see your struggle??
did they really have to be stopped by their teacher??
would they even have stopped if it werent for aizawa??
probably not
but he didnt have time to go and yell at them because he was running towards you
aizawa let him pick you up
“bring her to recovery girl.”
of course he did
everyone watching was so shocked
because bakugo didn’t let out a sound the entire time
his face was pulled into a frown, as usual, but he wasn’t speaking- no, yelling
he showed past his classmates, walking towards recovery girl’s office
“ribbit, why was he so quiet?”
recovery girl was like ?!?!?! what the fuck happened when was the last time she ate
she had to give you a total parenteral nutrition
(that means nutrition/fluids are delivered into your body via a catheter placed in a vein of your body, usually lower arm)
when you woke up bakugo was sat next to the bed, reading the back of some medicine bottle he found there
when he noticed you awake he perked up a little, shoulders visibly relaxing
“what happened?”
he narrowed his eyes, wondering for a second if you were serious
“you’re starving yourself to near death, that’s what happened.”
you immediately grimaced
“did i pass out in front of everyone?”
“is that seriously what you’re worried about?!”
you remained quiet, looking away
“y/n, look at me.” he gently guided your head to face him
“i don’t know what drove you to do this to yourself, but i need you to stop. you’re going to die if you don’t stop. what idiot made you think you need to do this to yourself?! i’ll kill them!”
..
“you told me i was a fatass”
his jaw dropped
fuck
“you know i don’t mean when i insult you! i hide the fucking fact that i WANT you to eat by using insults! i’m so sorry..”
his voice went soft at the end
he truly felt so bad :(
he was the one that was supposed to protect you from others hurting you yet here he was, being the one that caused you to hink you weren’t worthy enough
“i know, but there’s so many much more prettier girls than me, i was afraid you’d lose feelings if i wasn’t thin enough.”
“are you kidding?! you’re the only one i have eyes for! all those other extra’s can fuck off, i don’t give a single shit about them!”
you were kinda tearing up
“do you promise?”
god, he felt so bad.
he sat on the edge of the bed, reluctantly pulling you in a hug
“i promise”
from that day on he made sure to remind you to eat meals, even if it was just something small
he ripped everyone’s heads off if they made a comment about your eating habits and/or weight
and he made sure you were the only one he loved
the day he saw you collapse something broke inside of him
it opened his eyes that hiding his emotions from you wouldn’t help you in your relationship
so while he supported you to build your feelings of self-worth and eating habits, you helped him start to open up, teaching him that showing emotions wasn’t embarassing
no one else knew how soft he could get with you and it should stay that way
you had a long way to go but it was all worth it in the end
he was your little angry pomeranian <33

"We could move here" Harald pointed at the map. Hvitserk followed his finger and pressed his lips together. Maybe a bit risky, he thought, but he didn't dare contradict the king because of strategical differences, that was Ivar's job "It's closer to the sea, and it would be easier to run away if the saxons decide to attack us once we don't have the saxon girl as leverage"
"It could be" he nodded, as he waited for Ivar's opinion. But as the minutes passed and his brother didn't say a word, Hvitserk raised his head to look at him.
Ivar was sitting in front of him, with a drink on his hand, but looking away. He didn't seem to be even listening to what they were saying, and when Hvitserk's eyes followed his gaze, he understood why.
His lips curved on a small smirk and immediately turned to look at Harald, who also seemed amused to have caught the ruthless Ivar the Boneless sneaking glances to a lady.
Edlynn was sitting on a cut tree, not very far away from them, and her eyes were fixed on a book that Hvitserk had seen on Ivar's tent. She only had a couple of guards with her, and her wrists were untied, giving her much more freedom than Hvitserk ever thought Ivar would give her.
"Ivar" he called his name, making him turn his head with a frown, almost like he was annoyed by his interruption "Are you listening?"
Harald held back a laugh when Ivar blinked, somewhat confused, until he spotted the map and the pieces the king had moved, and seemed to get out of his trance. His cheeks reddened softly, but he pretended not to realize as he scrutinized the map, trying to remember what had changed since Edlynn stepped out of the tent and his eyes wandered off.
Hvitserk raised his eyebrow. He already knew what was going on, since he caught Edlynn leaving the tent with swollen lips more than once and had seen them sleeping together, with her face hidden in Ivar's neck. But at first he thought his brother was just having some fun, not falling for the saxon girl. Those glances said otherwise.
"It would be risky" Ivar cleared his throat "I don't think Alfred would attack us once Edlynn is with him"
Harald raised his head again. Edlynn? He didn't know when Ivar started calling the prisoner by her name, but found it amusing.
"Then what do you propose?" Hvitserk tried to ignore it, but he would ask his brother about it "Shall we stay here?"
"I think we should move a bit closer to the boats, but not like it seems we're retiring" he shrugged "But it's your decision, king Harald"
Harald had gotten used to the mocking tone whenever Ivar said his title out loud. He didn't really care, it had started to sound like a joke to him too.
"I will think about it tonight, and tomorrow we'll decide"
But just when he was about to stand up, maybe too eager to go back to his tent, a guard approached them.
Edlynn pretended not to realize he was staring. Neither of them talked about it but both of them seemed to think the same: no one should know of their... Affair? She couldn't help but blush whenever she thought about it. Well, she didn't even know if it could be considered an actual affair. There had been kisses, some more innocent than others, Ivar had touched her body in a way no one had in her entire life, she had let her hands wander down his strong arms and chest, but nothing more. It was still a sin, something she didn't want people knowing. Edlynn would be mortified if someone heard about it, about what she was doing with a... Heathen.
But the thing that alarmed her the most weren't the kisses or the caresses, not even the fire that Ivar awakened in her, but the warmth that expanded through her chest whenever she saw him, the smiles, the little laughs, the reddened cheeks... She couldn't think about anything else that weren't his blue eyes and his pouty lips, nor could pray in peace without remembering how soft his hair was under her fingers or what a beautiful smile he had. Every night she promised she'd stop, that she wouldn't let herself fall in love with him, but sometimes, especially under the furs and between his arms, she thought there was nothing she could do now.
It was temporal, Edlynn tried not to think about what would happen when she had to go back to her family, to Lord Edmund, the man who was supposed to be her husband. Would she ever feel the same with him? Probably not, and the thought saddened her. It was such a beautiful feeling she wished she could carry forever.
Even if it was hard, and even if she knew many people in the camp suspected it, Edlynn tried to act like nothing had happened. They barely talked to each other in public, but she noticed he was always close to her, or at least close enough to be able to watch her. She liked that.
Edlynn was reading, but she hadn't turned the page in what felt like hours, too focused on the glances that certain man threw her way and on hiding her blush. Until someone else approached the three men that sat down not too far away from her. She raised her head, interested, as the man seemed to carry important news. Even if she had understood their language, she wouldn't have heard anything, as the noise of the camp was too loud. But she could see the king with a big smile, celebrating something. And Ivar had frowned and his eyes were now fixed on the ground at his feet.
When he finally looked her way again, he ignored the silent question on her eyes and looked directly at the guard that stood next to her, pointing to his own tent with his head. And Edlynn was practically dragged towards it.

That night they celebrated. The reason was still a mystery to her, but Edlynn tried to ask every single person that entered the tent, from Brianna to Hvitserk, without receiving any answer. She could hear the happy screams and laughs, and figured it couldn't be bad, right?
At least not for them.
A shiver travelled down her spine when she thought about her family, would they be alright? Had those heathens killed them?
And then Ivar came back.
His eyes were bright and Edlynn figured he had been drinking too. His movements were slow, and let himself fall on the bed with a grunt, letting his crutch go before rubbing his face with his hands.
"Hello" Edlynn raised an eyebrow, why do men drink so much if they feel bad afterwards?
"Hi, princess" he muttered, grunting "How was your day?" Ivar sat on the bed, sighing. It had been a long day, and it seemed it would be a long night too.
"Clearly not as interesting as yours"
He raised an eyebrow, but didn't turn to look at her.
"I was trying to negotiate" he shrugged "And king Harald negotiates better when there's ale"
"Negotiate what?" Edlynn narrowed her eyes, moving a bit closer to him.
_____________________________________
"The saxons will agree to our terms" the messenger smiled proudly as he delivered the news "They will pay, and give us land and time to settle" he nodded "In exchange for the saxon girl"
Harald's laugh startled Ivar, who stared at the messenger intensely.
"Of course they will!" he celebrated, nodding his head and patting Ivar's back softly "You were right, once again"
He shot him a fake smile, which faded as soon as the king turned to Hvitserk. He thought he'd have more time, that asking for such a ridiculous amount of gold, land and a truce would be too much to give for just one girl, and that the saxons would try and change the terms. That would've given him weeks, even months. His eyes went back to where Edlynn was sitting, and silently told the guard to take her away.
"The saxon king said they shall wait for us in the battlefield to make the exchange, and that the girl must be unharmed and well, otherwise they won't give us what we asked for"
"Thank you, my friend" Harald patted the soldier's shoulder with a bright smile "Go, eat and rest, tonight we'll celebrate"
Hvitserk didn't stop looking at Ivar. He noticed how he clenched his jaw and licked his lips repeatedly. He felt his own lips curving on a smile, but just slapped his head playfully.
That night they did celebrate. Everyone sang, drank and ate next to the king, around a fire. Another victory, thanks to Ivar. But Ivar didn't seem too keen on participating on the celebrations.
"What's it, Ivar?" Hvitserk sat next to him as he saw him pour the ale on his horn for the fifth time "Aren't you happy to get rid of the saxon girl and get paid for it?" he chuckled, but his brother didn't laugh with him.
"I just think..." Ivar clenched his jaw again "Maybe the price is too low"
"Low?" Hvitserk raised an eyebrow "We didn't think they'd agree, it's too much, that price would fit a queen, but not a noble girl"
"Yes but they did agree to it" he shook his head "What if... What if we ask for more?"
"They would say no, and the negotiations would continue, we don't want that" his older brother frowned and shook his head, taking another sip from his horn "Because we don't want that, right?"
"No" Ivar replied maybe too fast, and then scowled "It's just that I don't think we've benefited enough from holding her captive, she's obviously more important than we thought"
"Well, dear brother, if I'm honest, I think you've benefited quite a lot from having her here" he chuckled, patting Ivar's leg softly. His brother widened his eyes at him, but managed to hide his surprise and go back to scowling.
"I don't know what you're talking about, Hvitserk"
"Sure" he laughed, shaking his head "Sure, you don't know, but it's quite obvious, Ivar" he shot him a soft smile "I can't blame you, she's pretty, innocent... I thought you didn't like saxon girls"
"Shut up" he rolled his eyes, but Hvitserk saw the little smile he tried to hide "I'm not trying to keep her here, I just want to make sure we get the deal that benefits us the most, that's all"
"Fine, I believe you" this time it was Hvitserk's turn to roll his eyes "Tell Harald, then, but I don't think he will agree"
"I was waiting for him to get drunk" Ivar shrugged, making his brother laugh.
"Good luck then" Hvitserk winked at him before getting up "Want advice?"
"No"
"Don't fall in love" he ignored him "That doesn't end well"

Ivar finally gave up, and went back to the tent, in need of some peace and maybe the soft touch of the woman that sat on he bed behind him. Harald didn't listen, and they kept celebrating.
"Your king agreed to our terms" he said, finally turning his head to look at her. Edlynn wore another dress they had found for her, with her auburn hair loose, and she looked so beautiful Ivar had to blink a couple of times. He wanted to see her reaction, would she be happy? Or would she feel as weird as he had been feeling all day?
But instead she looked confused.
"What... What does that mean?"
"That means we'll meet them in a few days and I will let you go"
Edlynn gasped, but instead of feeling relieved and thankful, eager to see her family again, to see Mildrith, to go home... She looked into those ocean eyes and only felt a strange emptiness inside her.
I must be insane, she thought as she crawled closer to him. Ivar's eyes didn't left her face, almost like he was waiting for her to smile, laugh and sigh in relief.
Edlynn didn't do any of those things.
"Aren't you happy?" he gulped.
"I... I suppose I am" she muttered "But..."
I know, he thought, nearly desperately. He couldn't describe it either.
"You'll go back to your castle, you'll marry your lord, you'll be with your family and will have a church to pray to your God every time you want"
"Yes, but..."
"Wasn't that what you wanted?" he sounded sharper than he intended.
"I don't want that anymore" Edlynn scowled "I don't want to go back and marry, I don't want to spend my days sewing, gossiping with other women and praying"
Not so long ago, she wouldn't have even imagined she'd say those words, that was her life, a life she had enjoyed and lived happily. But now... Now she had tried other things, new things... Was it that bad to want to keep them?
"I know it's my duty" she continued, the tears threatened to fall down her cheeks, but she held them as she had been taught "And I know I will have to do it someday but I... I will miss you"
Ivar looked away, clenching his jaw again and hoping she didn't see the tears filling his eyes. The thought of entering that tent and finding it empty, without the familiar presence of the annoying saxon girl praying or reading, of spending his nights studying maps alone instead of the books in latin Edlynn would read for him, or talking about the Gods, about the adventures of Thor and Loki or the golden apples of Idunn was... Not what he wanted.
Not even the possibility of conquering England was helping.
He felt Edlynn getting closer, and her small hand, with her soft fingers that had never held any kind of weapon, touched his shoulder. Ivar felt dizzy, but couldn't know if it was because of the ale or because of her.
"I will miss you too"
The words left his lips before he could hold them back, and when he raised his head to look at her, Edlynn had the biggest smile on her lips. She almost made him smile too.
"I... You could come and visit me someday?" she muttered, biting her lip "My friend Mildrith would love to meet you, she's obsessed"
Ivar raised an eyebrow.
"Do you think your father or your husband would let me visit you? You're supposed to hate me"
Edlynn's smile faded.
"I don't hate you" she tilted his head in an adorable way, and Ivar had to look away again "You were a bit mean at first, but you're not like they say you are... And he's not my husband"
"Yet" he shrugged "What do they say about me?"
Edlynn giggled, shaking her head.
"Mildrith said you're the Devil, in a human shape, that you are ruthless and... I heard you drink blood and eat human flesh"
Ivar couldn't help but laugh.
"I don't eat human flesh" he scowled in disgust "Do you think I could be that Devil you talk about?"
Edlynn took a deep breath, and her fingers caressed softly his cheek.
"You could be" she said, nodding slowly "You're smart, ambitious, ruthless, but also beautiful, like a fallen angel" Edlynn blushed "You do tempt me to sin"
Ivar smirked, humming in delight. She had a lot more to say about his looks, but decided to keep it to herself to avoid feeding his ego.
"And you would invite me, the heathen who tempts you, to your home with your father and your husband?"
Edlynn blushed again.
"He's not my husband" she repeated.
"But you're going to marry him, princess, he will be your husband soon, unless..."
His eyes fixed on the axe he had next to the bed, and Edlynn gasped and punched his arm.
"Don't even think about it!"
Her reaction amused Ivar, who shook his head laughing. Even if he wasn't actually joking.
"Lord Edmund is a good man, a good christian, he will take care of me" she said quietly, almost trying to convince herself "And it will be a good thing for my family"
"From what I've seen, princess, you don't need anyone to take care of you" he sighed, leaning to undo his braces. She smiled at that, feeling that warmth fill her body again. It was a huge compliment coming from him.
When he finished taking off the braces and removed most of his clothes Edlynn was already under the furs, her eyelids felt heavy but she forced herself to stay awake. She wanted to enjoy every moment she had left with him, knowing she wouldn't see him again. They still had some days, though, that comforted her.
Ivar nearly moaned when he finally was able to lay on the bed. His eyes had been a bit more blue that morning, so it had been a difficult day. Edlynn watched him in silence, amazed by the perfection of his features. How could he be the Devil when he looked sculpted by God? He was too beautiful to be impure, but then again, he was a heathen. Her mind went back to his wife, and a strange pang of jealousy stroke her. What would he do if she kissed him now?
"It's rude to stare, princess"
Ivar had an amused smirk on his lips, which only grew when he saw Edlynn's glare.
"Remember when I said I'd miss you? Well, I take it back"
That made him laugh.
"Go to sleep, little one" he muttered, already closing his eyes "Maybe I can teach you some more archery before you leave, but only if you rest"
He could hear a little gasp and imagined her excited smile, but didn't open his eyes until he felt her crawling closer to him and leaning her head on his shoulder. When he did look at her, she was already ready to sleep, with her eyes closed and breathing slowly.
"Good night, heathen"
Ivar couldn't help but smile, too.
"Good night, princess"
______________________________________
Ivar was cold. He stirred in his sleep looking for the source of warmth he was missing, but opened his eyes when he couldn't find it.
The bed was empty, he frowned and pawed at the furs, confused. Where is she?
The thought of her escaping made him more sad than angry, and he was nearly gasping when he finally spotted her. Edlynn sat on the wooden stool next to his table, studying the paintings of one of the books he had at the dim light of a nearly melted candle.
"Sorry" she pouted, looking at him with widened eyes "I didn't mean to wake you up"
"You didn't" he groaned, rubbing his eyes "What are you doing awake? It's the middle of the night"
He couldn't hear anything outside the tent, only the hushed voices of some guards, and it was still dark.
"I couldn't sleep" she shrugged.
"Come back to bed" he nearly ordered, narrowing his eyes at her. Edlynn held back a laugh as she closed the book, leaning in to blow the candle before making her way back to the bed. Ivar watched her as she crawled under the furs and laid back, with her eyes still open.
"It feels strange to go back and marry someone else"
Ivar frowned in the darkness of the tent.
"What does that mean?"
"You're the first man I shared the bed with" she muttered "The first man I kissed... The first touching me. I always believed that man would be my husband"
"I'm also the first man that made you a prisoner" he teased, and Edlynn rolled her eyes with a small smile.
"I don't think you understand"
"Then tell me"
"I want you to be the last, too"
Edlynn bit her own tongue after saying it, taking a deep breath as Ivar turned to look at her. She nearly regretted it, but... Why hide it? They probably wouldn't see each other again. She was just telling the truth, like a good christian.
"You don't know what you're saying"
His answer confused her even more.
"What?"
"I... We're on different sides, princess" he sighed, and held himself back from reaching out to caress her cheek "I am a heathen, remember?"
"But you're good to me" she pouted, and Ivar nearly leant in to kiss her "I've seen you talk about your Gods with passion, laugh with your brother, I've seen you bonding with your men and even stroking horses... You're not the monster they talk about, at least not now... You treated me well... As well as you can treat a prisoner, I don't see how you're different from any christian man I know"
Ivar couldn't help but smile and lean his forehead against hers, his fingers tingled, desperate to touch her. He felt a faintly familiar warmth inside his chest.
"You have to go back home, princess" he insisted "You'll forget about me and will learn to hate me again"
"I will never hate you" she muttered, and then there was silence. Ivar nearly thought she had fallen asleep again, and kept relaxing against her body, listening to her breathing.
"Ivar" it was the first time he had heard her saying his name, and it sounded so soft with her voice... He looked at her, who had her eyes fixed on his Mjölnir necklace "Kiss me?"
It sounded more like a question than a demand. Edlynn wasn't nearly ready when she felt his strong hand around the side of her neck and his lips pressed against hers. She sighed in delight and kissed him back, grabbing his arm shyly. She had missed his kisses so much... What would she do without them?
Ivar deepened the kiss, making Edlynn moan quietly and mover her hand to his face, cupping hit softly until her fingers touched his hair. Ivar's hand roamed down her body, settling on her waist and nearly touching her ass. Things were getting out of control, and Ivar didn't know how much he could keep things... Like that.
Edlynn moved even closer, and now he could feel her breasts against his bare chest. Ivar sighed and smiled against her sweet lips, tightening his grip around her waist. They broke the kiss to breathe, and Edlynn smiled brightly at him before leaning in to kiss him again.
"We can stop whenever you want" he groaned as her thigh pressed against his cock, making it twitch.
"I don't want to stop" she replied, frowning, and he nearly laughed.
Edlynn was serious. She had heard about it more than once, her whole life everyone assured that it was painful and not enjoyable at all for women, but everything Ivar did in that moment felt good... Why wouldn't that feel good then?
"I thought you weren't allowed to do this" he panted as Edlynn's lips landed on his jaw softly. Her kisses were shy, inexperienced, innocent... Completely different from Katia, Freydis or Margrethe, the only women he had ever kissed, but just as effective.
"I'm not" she giggled "Should I stop?"
"No" Ivar groaned and tightened his grip on her waist. If they stopped now, he was going to go crazy. He had tried to erase her body from his mind since he saw her in the river that day, and he had failed.
"I want to do this" she muttered, interrupting their kisses to look at his eyes again "Because I've been told men like it, a lot" she blushed, but the darkness hid it "And I want you to remember me"
"Trust me, princess" Ivar squirmed under her, his body reacting to her closeness "I was going to remember you anyway"
When they kissed again, he tugged at the skirt of her dress, nearly moaning when he finally was able to touch her bare skin. It was soft, warm, and Ivar felt her stiffen when he caressed her leg. Her hand traced the ink lines of his chest as his lips traveled down her neck, Edlynn gasped and let out a shaky breath, biting her tongue. She was supposed to be silent, right?
"Women can also enjoy this" he said against her skin, his fingers reached her inner thigh and Edlynn's muscles tensed under his touch "Want me to show you?"
He smirked when she nodded shyly. Edlynn was biting her lip and looking down in curiosity, even if she couldn't see his hand approaching her sex. Ivar wasn't too sure of what he was doing, but kept reaching until he finally touched her, and Edlynn let out a strangled sound and he quickly looked at her. She had closed her eyes and her nails were digging on his skin. Ivar kept caressing her folds until he reached the place that made her jump and moan loudly.
Edlynn quickly covered her mouth as Ivar smirked with pride and started circling his fingers as his brothers had said more than once. He would have loved to go down and kiss her properly, but didn't want to scare her so soon.
When Ivar finally pressed two fingers to her entrance, Edlynn opened her eyes, looking both aroused and confused at the same time.
"Relax" he whispered, reaching to kiss her softly "How does it feel?"
She was gasping, but managed to reply with a small moan and a frown.
"Weird" she muttered "But... Good"
"Good" he nodded, and increased the pace, making Edlynn moan again and grab his arm "I've got you, princess"
She was shaking between his arms as he started curling his fingers inside her, enjoying the way her walls clenched around them and the incoherent moans she let out. His hand was covered with wetness, and finally Ivar retrieved his hand, making Edlynn whimper in protest.
But he needed both hands to tear that stupid dress apart.
She gasped and blushed when he finally was able to throw the pieces of fabric away, to reveal her entire naked body to his eyes. Ivar growled and his lips collapsed against hers again. His hands were everywhere, touching her breasts, her belly and her ass at the same time, and soon his mouth followed them. She nearly felt overwhelmed, where she expected pain and discomfort she only got pleasure, a different kind of pleasure, and she needed more, so much more.
Ivar finally pushed her to lay down on the bed, and moved to crawl between her legs to keep kissing her.
"Want me to fuck you, princess?"
Edlynn widened her eyes, but her legs tightened around his waist and Ivar put his pants down just enough to free his cock. He enjoyed the surprise on her face when she saw it, not used to women being impressed by him.
"Look at me" he muttered, noticing how she grew nervous "Do you trust me?"
Edlynn allowed herself to get lost into his eyes again, nodding slowly and grabbing his neck as he pressed into her slowly. Ivar needed all of his willpower to keep a slow pace to avoid hurting her too much. She scrunched her nose in pain and closed her eyes. Ivar wasn't an expert, but he knew that, for women, it was painful the first time. Her little shrieks of pain brought back some not very nice memories from his own first time.
"Hey, princess, open your eyes" he stopped moving, even if he was already shaking from feeling her tight walls around him, when Edlynn obeyed, she had tears in her eyes "Am I hurting you too much?"
She shook her head and licked her lips.
"Just a bit"
"I'm sorry" he kissed her temple and let out a shaky breath "I promise it gets better"
His own eyes were fluttering and he could barely stay still.
"Keep going" she muttered "I'll be fine"
As he started moving again, Edlynn felt the pain fading slowly. It didn't became pleasurable, like it had when he had used his hand, but it became more... Tolerable. She even felt some pleasure, and it wasn't as bad as she thought, in fact, she enjoyed the way Ivar muttered some strange words in Norse she couldn't understand, and how he moaned and sighed against her skin. It was truly a sight, to see him with his eyes closed in pleasure, enjoying her body in ways she never thought anyone would.
When Ivar finished, he captured her lips with his again, drowning the sounds they both made as he finally stopped moving. His forehead rested against hers, and their hands were intertwined. None of them said anything at first, enjoying the feeling of being so close, and Ivar let himself hide his face in her neck, sighing. How was he going to let her go now?

Panty Thief - Harry Styles
Tumblr media
So this is kind of a trial run for this fic, I’m inclined to make this a series but I’m not sure how the response to it will be. I have lots of ideas for more parts to this but only if it’s what the people want haha. Here is my belated Valentine’s Day gift to all you lovelies I hope you enjoy this heavy daddy kink/dom harry fic I’ve been working on for ages!
p.s. everyone say thank you Nathan for giving me lots of smut inspiration this is literally based on him sorta
pairing: daddy!harry x oc
warning: sexual content, smut, daddy kink/dom vibes so if you’re not here for that this is not for you
word count: 5k
In which Harry is a new student at Harley’s university and he seems to just keep popping up everywhere. The tension between them is palpable and she can’t get away from him, especially when he happens to knock on her door with a pair of her favorite red lace panties she left in the laundromat dangling from his finger.
I roll my eyes as the lady in front of me in line takes out yet another handful of coupons from her purse at the checkout counter. The cashier looks almost as annoyed as I am, but still sporting a smile despite the absolute exasperation rampant in her eyes. She takes the handful of coupons and starts scanning them begrudgingly as the woman digs around in her purse for anymore and I hardly even notice my foot tapping as my eyes instinctively roll once again. I just came to get toilet roll, ice cream, and a bottle of prosecco and the universe decides today is the day coupon Karen ends up at the checkout line five minutes before I do.
“I like your hair.” A voice speaks up behind me.
I know they must be talking to me, I don’t believe any other boring college blonde in this line warrants a compliment like that but the bright purple curls I sport tend to elicit quite the reaction from bystanders, especially the uninteresting conservatives of Publix.
“How do you uh, get it that color?”
I finally turn my head over my shoulder to face the voice, a tall guy with tousled brown hair and quite the shit eating grin on his face. He’s obviously very pleased with himself finally getting me to turn around but I can’t be bothered to entertain this excited puppy of a man with more than a word.
“Dye.”
I’ve barely even gotten the word out of my mouth before I turn back to face the cashier with an uninterested eyeroll. He scoffs behind me, clearly not giving up that easily.
“Wow,” He chuckles, “At least you’re straightforward.”
I turn back around without thinking to face him once again, “Hair dye, idiot.”
“Oh, well I could have guessed that much.”
I turn away from him again just as coupon lady finally pushes her rattling cart towards the exit doors and the cashier gestures for me to come up to the checkout. I drop my basket on the conveyor belt with a thud and she rings it up quickly, sensing my impatience and clearly wanting to get me the hell out of here as quickly as she can. I pay and grab my bags to head for the door and just before I’m home free the voice is suddenly behind me yet again.
“So, are you really not going to tell me?” He asks, catching up to me outside, “It’s going to keep me up tonight, I’m waiting with bated breath over here.”
“Tell you what exactly?” I huff, finally turning to face him.
“How you get your hair that color, of course.”
I roll my eyes, surely, he’s not keeping this bit up for the sake of hitting on me in the fucking supermarket, “Do you want something from me?”
He chuckles a bit, and I’m glad to see my utter frustration is amusing to him, “I mean,” He starts, rubbing the back of his neck, “Maybe your name would be cool.”
“No thanks.”
“Well, I’m Harry-“
I turn and walk away before he’s barely got the sentence out of his mouth. What was he even in line to buy? He wasn’t carrying any bags.
Mental note: always wear headphones to the grocery store.
 ***
“You’re late.”
I collapse in the seat next to my friend Danielle with a huff. She gives me a certain look that says something like you’ve been late the past three times too, but honestly at this point she should know to expect it.
“I’m always late,” I groan, attempting to lean back in the incredibly uncomfortable library chair, “So, why are we at the library?”
“We have a math test tomorrow, or did you forget about that?” She asks, scolding me over the top of her math book.
“Of course I remembered,” I say sarcastically, “Math is my absolute favorite subject how could I ever forget we had a test?”
She rolls her eyes, turning her book to the right page to start taking notes and I try my best to follow along, “So do you have a legitimate reason for the lateness or just regular Harley excuses?”
“Actually, I do,” I say matter-of-factly, sitting back up straight in my chair, “There was a freak at the grocery store, dude would not leave me alone.”
“What was he doing?” She asks, suddenly interested.
“Just talking? I guess? He like wanted to have a whole conversation waiting to check out.”
“So, a nice guy just struck up some conversation with you at the store and that’s a bad thing?”
“Yes,” I huff, closing the book once again, “I was just there to get groceries I didn’t need the extra human interaction.”
She opens her mouth to reply but she’s cut off as a group of guys walk in the front door of the library talking at full volume. I can feel almost every person in the room turn in the direction of the loud noise at the front and suddenly my eyes land on him. There’s no fucking way.
“Dani,” I whisper, sliding down in my seat so I can go unseen, “Dani that’s the guy, the guy from earlier.”
“What?” She whispers harshly, trying not to stare as the boys get scolded by the librarian at the front, “You mean grocery store guy?”
“Yes!” I huff, electing to sit in my chair backwards so my back is to him.
“No way Harley, it just looks like him-”
“No Dani, it’s him,” I whisper, “Tall one with the curly hair in the black hoodie.”
“That’s him?” She asks, “You had a problem with that talking to you?”
“Shh!” I huff, “God he’s going to hear you, are they still at the front?”
“They um, yeah,” She stutters, her eyes diverting to her book again, “They’re still up there, at a table now.”
“What’s wrong?” I ask, sensing the discomfort in her voice and turning around myself.
My eyes immediately lock onto his and I look away quickly, shielding my face from him with my hand and turning back towards Danielle.
“He’s staring right at you.” She says, trying not to be too obvious.
“Yep.”
“Are you gonna go over there?”
“Why would I do that exactly?” I ask, my eyebrow raised in disbelief.
“Because a hot boy is staring you down across the fucking library!” She whispers harshly, reaching over to smack me in the arm.
“More like a fucking psychopa-”
“Hey there,” I hear his voice cut in and my whole body cringes in on itself without my volition, “Fancy meeting you here.”
I turn around in my chair, forcing myself to face him while my whole face heats and I’m sure I’m the color of a rather ripe tomato. Something about the way he says hey there in that fucking accent makes my entire body tense up.
“Hey there,” I mimic, “Long time no see.”
I feel Danielle’s eyes on me as the words come out of my mouth, her gaze flickering between the two of us and watching the horrifically awkward exchange play out in front of her.
He laughs, electing to lean on the table, “What are you doing after this?”
“She’s doing absolutely nothing.” Danielle answers for me and I kick her under the table, making her wince.
“Glad to hear it,” He grins, his eyes zeroing in on me once again.
“I’m very busy actually,” I cut in, closing my textbook and throwing it in my bag, “We both are, but um, I’ll see you around.”
Danielle is looking at me with eyes the size of dinner plates as she frantically packs up her stuff, shoving it in her bag to follow suit. I stand up from my chair, slinging my bag over my shoulder and he rounds the table to stand right in front of me, the only thing between me and the front door.
“Can I at least get your name?” He asks, his voice incredibly deep clearly for only me to hear.
“Harley,” I quip, side stepping around him, “See you later uh, Harold is it?”
He gives me a very particular look as I walk away from him, taking steps backward and relishing in the smirk on his face. He knows what I’m doing. I feel Dani’s hand grab my arm and I finally turn around to face the door, walking through it, but even as I’m outside and carrying my feet down the steps I feel his eyes on me, drilling into the back of my head.
“The hell was that?” Danielle asks, “He was so cute and you just, you just blow it like that?”
“Harmless flirting.”
“You call that flirting?”
“Oh Dani,” I sigh, taking out a cigarette and lighting it between my lips, “I call that winning.”
 ***
I’m woken up with a start when I hear the loud roar of music start from Dani’s room. She always blasts music in the morning while getting ready for class. I look over my shoulder to check the time, at least she waited until 10 to start with the noise. My head is pounding ever so slightly, and I realize why when my eyes land on the empty bottle of pink Moscato on my bedside table.
I drag myself out of bed and into the tiny common space between our two rooms, “Good morning sleeping beauty,” Danielle teases, “I noticed the bottle of wine went missing from the fridge.”
“That’s bizarre,” I joke, “Must be a wine thief in the dorms. I’ll get on that mystery right away.”
She shakes her head at me, rolling her eyes as I grab my basket of laundry from my room. I slide on a pair of slippers electing to go put it in the wash, so I hopefully have a single clean pair of jeans for class tonight. I call to Dani letting her know I’ll be right back and as soon as I open the door to the hall I’m staring at him.
“You have got to be fucking kidding me.” I groan.
He stops dead in his tracks, taking a glance over his shoulder to see me standing in my doorway. He’s dressed in only a towel, holding it closed while it hangs low on his hips. His hair is wet, clearly making his way back to his room from the showers and his chest and arms are rippling with muscles under his damp skin.
God those arms could crush me like a grape.
“Morning neighbor,” He grins, clearly getting a kick out of this, “Someone wake up on the wrong side of the bed today?”
“You’re in this building?”
“You bet, room 7C down the hall.”
“Well, neighbor, for future reference, most people in this building take their clothes to the shower with them.”
“You Americans,” He chuckles, starting to walk away from my doorway, “So prude, have a nice day Harley.”
He disappears down the hall and then behind his door and my mind gets to work on picturing what he looks like without the towel. You can nearly feel the tension between us in the air, it was palpable. I could even feel his eyes on me, looking me up and down and lingering on my lips. I squeeze my eyes shut, trying to clear my head as I take a deep breath and start on my way to the laundry room downstairs.
I put a load in the wash, briefly tuning into the dramatic soap playing on the tiny TV hung on the wall. I decide to head back to my now empty room since Danielle left for class and end up wasting most of my day away on a bad Netflix original movie, only pausing half way through to go move my clothes to the dryer.
I order a pizza for dinner before my night class and go back downstairs to grab my laundry out of the dryer. Just as I’m opening the dryer and emptying my clothes back into my basket I get a text that the pizza guy is downstairs waiting for me.
“Shit, shit, shit.” I huff under my breath, quickly shoving all my clothes in my basket and slamming the dryer shut behind me.
I rush back to my dorm, chucking the basket of clean clothes inside before heading to the stairwell and nearly sprinting down them to get to the ground floor. I meet the rather impatient pizza guy downstairs before bringing the food back up to my room. I’ve just barely finished the first slice half way through a Criminal Minds episode when there’s a knock at the door. I groan, dragging myself from the couch and tossing the blanket off.
I open the door, rolling my eyes, “Dani, you have got to start remembering your key when you-” I’m cut off as I come face to face with him rather than Dani, “Oh, um, hi?”
“Hi,” He repeats, now dressed in a pair of grey joggers and a plain black t-shirt, “I believe you dropped something in the laundry room earlier.”
He reveals his arm from behind his back, holding out his hand with my bright red lacy thong dangling from his pointer finger. I can feel my entire face heat to match the shade of my panties, but I won’t let him get the satisfaction. I go to snatch them from his hand, but he stops me, gripping them in his fist instead and using them as leverage to pull me a bit closer to him.
“Probably want to be a bit more careful where you leave your panties lying around, darling,” He smirks, “Unless you want to leave them on my bedroom floor of course.”
It’s the final straw, those few words spoken in his deliciously deep voice absolutely dripping with that amazing accented tone, on top of the way he’s dressed, every muscle visible beneath the fabric of his t-shirt. I don’t know what I’m doing until I’m pulling him to me by my own grip on the lacy underwear between us, my mouth meeting his and his teeth instantly biting my bottom lip between them.
“Yours or mine?” He breathes out, pulling away from me just long enough to get the words out.
“Where’s your roommate?” I ask breathlessly.
“Vacation,” He says, “Till Wednesday.”
“Yours,” I laugh, pressing my lips back to his, “Definitely yours.”
He walks me backwards down the hall to his dorm room, shoving me up against the wall as he unlocks the door, his lips working down my neck. As soon as the door is open he walks me through it, bending down to grab the backs of my thighs and hoisting me into the air. He kicks the door closed with his foot and I laugh against his mouth as he carries me past his bedroom doorway, slamming that behind us as well.
He lays me out on the bed, nearly tossing me right on top of the mattress, my lacy red underwear still gripped in his hand.
“Any chance you got something this cute under there?” He chuckles, holding them up in both hands to really show them off.
“Why don’t you come find out?” I tease.
He rolls his eyes, finally kneeling onto the edge of the bed and crawling over to me. He starts to lean over me, but I shove his shoulder, forcing him to lay against the mattress before swinging my leg over him. I can feel him underneath me immediately and it makes my legs clench together on either side of him.
“Hi,” I breathe, planting my hands on his chest and meeting his eyes.
“Hi,” He repeats back to me, that bright smile of his making my stomach flip, “You gonna come down here or...?”
“Oh, shut up,” I laugh finally leaning down and connecting our lips once again.
His lips are ridiculously soft against mine while the feeling of his muscles under his t-shirt are quite the opposite. He reaches up to cup my face with both hands, trying to somehow pull me closer as if we aren’t close enough as it is. I can’t figure out exactly where I want to put my hands; his shoulders, his biceps, god, in that amazing curly hair.
My hips start to move against him without my volition and he groans into my mouth, a deliciously deep reverberation that makes me grind my hips into him even more. He grunts against my lips, finally pulling away and resting his forehead against mine instead, breathing heavily.
“You alright there tiger?” I tease him, threading my fingers through his hair, “Need a breather already?”
“Shut your mouth,” He chuckles, grabbing me around the waist and trying to flip us over so he’s on top.
He greatly underestimates the size of his twin dorm bed when he does so, both of us rolling off the edge and tumbling to the shag carpeted floor beneath us. I expect the mood to be ruined, for him to get up and usher me right out the door because how awkward is this, right? I’m beyond surprised when he starts laughing, both of us splayed flat on our backs and heaves out a sigh as he rolls over to face me again.
“That was pretty smooth of me, eh?” He jokes, “Are you okay? Are you hurt?”
I shake my head, chuckling too, “No I’m okay, just gonna have a massive bruise on my ass most likely.”
He laughs again, finally pulling himself to his feet and offering me a hand to help me up. I’m not sure what I expect past that, maybe a hug to send me on my way now that the atmosphere has completely changed but that tension is still between us, the same tension that’s been building since the moment he said a single word in the supermarket.
The second I’m back on my feet he shoves me onto the bed and I can’t even begin to hide the shock in my features. He’s back on top of me in seconds, his lips pressed to mine and I’m sure the surprised whimper that leaves my mouth fuels his ego to the gods.
“You alright there tiger?” He mocks, and I resist the urge to reach up and slap him.
“Careful.” I quip, pulling away from him to meet his eyes.
“Careful?” He asks, quirking up his eyebrow at me, “I’m sorry are you telling me what to do sweetheart?”
I gulp, the smooth but stern voice he’s using making my thighs quiver. He seems to notice, his eyes darting down between us and a small chuckle escaping his lips. He looks back up at me, his eyes dark and brooding, before they flicker to my hands at my sides. He grabs my left wrist roughly, holding it above my head against the mattress before doing the same to my right arm as well. I’m nearly squirming underneath him, my entire body steaming to the touch as his eyes bore into mine.
“Something wrong, love?” He asks, the condescending tone to his voice making my whole body shake.
“Course not,” I pant, my breath coming out heavier than I anticipated, “Just fuckin peachy over here.”
He chuckles a bit, his grip on my wrists growing tighter, “You’re not very patient, you know that?”
I’m not sure what it is that’s making me writhe the way I am; perhaps it’s the countless months I’ve gone without sex since my last messy breakup, or maybe it’s the way in which this all panned out with a stranger over some fucking underwear, or fuck, maybe it’s just him and the way that cocky smirk on his face makes my insides twist.
“Patience is a virtue,” I say carefully, making sure to keep my tone even, “I’m more about vices.”
His left hand releases my wrist and I prepare myself for his hand reaching where I need him most, sucking in a breath between my teeth and letting my eyes flutter closed but it never comes. My eyes peel back open to see his hand hovering over my neck instead. He meets my eyes before his fingers finally grace the skin of my throat, applying just the slightest bit of pressure almost as if to test the waters.
I’m nearly dizzy as he does so, the temperature in this room suddenly a million degrees. He removes his hand again, the pressure around my throat leaving me and I whimper in distaste, making him chuckle again.
“Poor thing,” He chastises, my legs clenching together on either side of him, “I can’t do it all though, if only there was a way I could hold down both your wrists and choke that pretty neck.”
I watch his hand dig into the pocket of his joggers and once again pull out the thin red lacy fabric of my panties, holding them between us.
“Mind if I use these?” He asks, clearly knowing the answer but wanting to get a reaction out of me anyways.
“Yes, god,” I gulp, “Please.”
He grabs my hands, moving them completely above my head before wrapping the panties around them a few times, tying them together. He tugs on them a bit to make sure they’re pretty secure before looking back down at me, his eyes completely blown out in lust, his pupil swallowing his surrounding iris.
His lips are back on mine in seconds, his now free hands roaming my body before one hand rests on my neck, gripping the sides and applying a bit more pressure than the last time. I whimper into this mouth and curse myself for doing so as soon as my eyes flutter open to see that cocky smirk on his face once again.
“Eager, sweetheart?” He teases, and my hand reaches up to smack him before I remember I’m bound in a pair of my own underwear, “Ah, ah, be a good girl and stay still.”
Hearing the words good girl come out of his mouth makes my entire body squirm and he grins again, that lopsided condescending grin and I know he’s getting off on this, making me writhe underneath him. He leans down to kiss my stomach, hiking my shirt up as he goes before working his way down and tugging my pants down my legs. I hold my breath in anticipation but when I look down the bed to meet his eyes he simply kisses the inside of my thighs, ghosting his mouth over the thin fabric of my panties.
“Fucking please,” I beg, my breath coming out in heaves, “Is this some kind of joke to you?”
“Please what, princess?” He asks, my legs threatening to squeeze his head between them, “Tell me what you want, hm?”
“You cocky bastard,” I huff, my mind getting fuzzier by the second the closer he gets to my center, “You know what I want.”
He stops abruptly, sitting back up from his small assault on my inner thighs, “What did you say, love? Care to repeat that? Couldn’t quite here you down here.”
There’s an edge to his voice, like glass, it cuts right through me and makes my thighs quiver, “N-no,” I stutter, “Didn’t say anything.”
“That’s what I thought,” He grins, leaning back down between my legs, “Now be a good girl and tell me what you want me to do to you.”
I suck in a breath sharply, but I won’t let him know how his words affect me, “Oh daddy,” I mock, rolling my eyes, “Need you so bad.”
He grabs me by the ankles, flipping me onto my stomach and sends an echoing smack to my ass, the stinging sensation that radiates afterwards making my toes curl. He flips me back onto my back, his dangerously dark eyes meeting mine as he spreads my legs apart once again, holding my thighs down against the mattress.
“Want to try that again, princess?”
“Fuck,” I gasp, the edge to his voice making the whispered swear fall from my mouth involuntarily, “Um, yes.”
“Yes what?” He growls, leaning down to hold my jaw in his hand, his eyes drilling into mine waiting for a response.
“Yes daddy.”
“Now you’re getting it, good girl,” He grins, his hand that was gripping my jaw moving to tuck a piece of hair behind my ear, “Now open up,” I oblige, slowly opening my mouth and he pushes his middle and ring finger past my lips. It catches me a bit off guard, but he only nods his head, “Get them nice and wet for me love, don’t want to hurt you.”
He pulls them from my mouth, a small string of saliva connecting them to my lips. He chuckles a bit, clearly getting a kick out of how worked up I am for him before finally pushing my panties to the side and pressing his fingers into me. I instantly turn my head to the side, muffling the moan that escapes my mouth into my pillow. As soon as he realizes what I’m doing he grabs me by the hair, holding my head straight.
“None of that,” He says sternly, “Wanna hear your pretty sounds, babygirl.”
I’m dangerously close to the edge just from the words pouring from his mouth in that accented tone that makes my entire body shiver. That condescending smirk finds its way back to his lips and I know that he can tell I’m close, just teetering on the edge already.
“Needy little thing, are we?” He teases, “Already gonna cum and daddy’s barely touched you yet.”
His words are almost just enough to push me over the edge, but I hold off as much as I can, straining away from his touch as much as I can with my hands bound above my head and his weight on top of me. I feel the particular twist in my stomach, that burning sensation in the very pit of my abdomen just as my eyes squeeze shut and my vision goes white. His fingers work me through it, his mouth finally hovering over where I need him most, sucking my sensitive bud into his mouth and making me shake.
I feel his fingers withdraw from me and suddenly he’s pushing them past my lips once again, but this time I taste myself on them, swirling my tongue around each one to suck them clean. I meet his eyes as he pulls them from my mouth and my hips involuntarily buck up to meet the bulge prominent in his pants.
“Still needy, are we?” He chuckles.
“Please shut up and take your pants off already.” I beg, my hips bucking up to meet him again.
“You see I would but,” He starts, sitting back on his heels, “It seems I don’t have a condom, would you happen to have one?”
“Would I, no, you have got to be fucking kidding me,” I stutter breathlessly, my blood starting to boil in disbelief, “What kind of guy doesn’t keep a pack of rubbers around you idiot?”
“Careful,” He warns, his voice dropping into that deep calculated tone that makes me shiver, “And perhaps a guy that just moved in this week and hasn’t necessarily had buying rubbers on the mind,” He says, “That is until he met a spunky purple haired girl in the supermarket.”
His words make my stomach do a few somersaults, but I don’t let it extinguish the pissed off fire burning in my stomach knowing that I won’t be getting the relief I desperately need right now.
“You’re serious?” I ask, “You don’t have any?”
“Serious, darling,” He chuckles, “But instead of moping about it, you’re going to take what I give you and say thank you daddy when I’m done, understand?”
I nod my head vigorously, despite wanting to do the exact opposite. What kind of hold does that goddamn accent have on me?
“Good,” He smiles, clearly pleased with my response, “And maybe if you’re a good girl next time daddy will remember to hit the store.”
“Next time?” I ask, not filtering the shock from my voice.
He laughs a bit, reaching up to finally untie my hands, “Yes, next time, did you want this to just be a one-time thing, princess?”
I can’t form the words I want to say as I sit up a bit, rubbing my wrists only slightly from the rough fabric of the lace wrapped around them, “I um, I don’t-”
“That’s what I thought,” He smirks, standing from the bed and holding out a hand to me, “Now come on, didn’t you get pizza?”
I smile, taking his hand and starting to stand to my feet, my legs a bit wobbly and I’m thankful for the stability of his arm to lean on.
“Do you have anything to uh,” I start, cringing when I feel the wetness in between my thighs, “Clean up with?”
“Nope,” He says cheerfully, “You keep that pretty mess I made between those thighs, babygirl.”
My knees nearly buckle, and I’m cursing him for his lack of condoms and the ache between my legs as I pull my pants back on, following him to the door to the hall. He stops abruptly just inside the doorway, turning back to meet my eyes.
“What’s my name?” He asks cheekily.
“Harry,” I say confidently, “Why? Are you worried I forgot already?”
He grabs my ass in his hand tightly, squeezing the skin, his voice calculated, “I said, what’s my name?”
I gulp, leaning into his grip on me a bit more as my knees wobble, “Daddy.”
He releases his grip on my ass, giving it a quick smack, “’Atta girl, let’s get some pizza in you so you’re ready for round two,” He grins, throwing his arm around my shoulder and tucking me into his side as we walk down the hall to my room instead, “Maybe after we can hit the store, I seemed to have forgotten to pick something up last time I went.”

warnings: swearing, suggestive jokes, and the boys being a lil goofy
summary: the boys keep you entertained when tom is running late
a/n: this nasty stinky year ends today! finally y’all!! it sucked sm and a lot of stuff went wrong but i’ve enjoyed spending time with you lovely people, seriously you’ve all been such a light and i hope we bring it into 2021 :,) i love all of you tons, stay safe tonight and have fun <3
-
ten.
“he’s still not here?” you storm back into the room, looking between all the boys. “where the hell could he be?” harry only sips his drink. harrison stares up at the ceiling. sam offers a sad smile.
you thought by the time you finished your private freak out in the bathroom, tom would be home. home and ready for you to kiss and hug and welcome the new year with. he has ten more minutes to make it happen.
of course, you were disappointed he couldn’t be here for christmas. you still understood because it wasn’t his fault. there was scheduling and a whole bunch of other things keeping him in the states. you’d at least have new year’s eve together, and that was enough for you.
the universe had other plans. tom’s flight got delayed to the latest possible second, and it’s beyond either of your control now.
nine.
harrison puts a hand on your arm. “maybe he’s in the taxi. traffic and all that,” he leads you over to the couch, giving you a nudge to sit down. you do with crossed arms and pouted lips. “cheer up.” harry beams and sticks a party hat on your head. you’re not even bothering to strap it on. sam scoots closer to you in his spot.
“you have us,” he reminds you, smiling to get the message across. it’s nice of them to try and comfort you, but all you really want is tom. he’s the holland you’d rather be touching knees with. “thanks, guys. i just...” you let out a sigh. “tom was supposed to be my new year’s kiss.”
“well, we can’t help you with that,” harrison snickers and takes a seat on the arm of the couch. harry puts down his beer with a cheeky look. “tessa might be available.” groaning, you drop your head onto his shoulder. “shut up, i know it’s cheesy. we talked about it, though.”
tom better get here soon and back that up.
eight.
“what if you did it over, um, facetime?” sam suggests, stifling a laugh right after. these boys just can’t be serious. “i’m not making out with my phone in front of you guys,” you scoff and adjust your party hat that’s falling. “you’d do it if we left the room, then?” harry questions, harrison raising his eyebrows at you.
you lift your head off of harry so you can shoot him a glare. “no, you know what i mean. leave me alone.” your voice shakes on the last part. you’re starting to feel emotional about all of this. you wanted one night with your boyfriend who hasn’t been home in months, that was all. why couldn’t you get it?
the boys all coo at you in unison. it’s sort of sarcastically, mostly sympathetically. harrison reaches over and puts an arm around your shoulders. “he’ll be here, y/n/n. there’s still about...” he checks his watch on his other hand. his eyes go wide.
“seven minutes until midnight.” “jesus,” harry mutters to himself, picking his beer back up.
seven.
you’re debating whether or not you should text tom. maybe call? you haven’t heard from him in hours, which isn’t very promising. the boys are making too much noise to talk to him, actually. they’ve taken to blowing into their noisemakers to distract you.
the loud humming that comes from harrison’s is ear piercing. that’s partially because he’s holding it directly up to your ear. sam is using a handheld one, and harry is raising his fist in the air while he finishes off his drink. you love their spirit. you’ve run out of your own.
“come on, year’s almost over,” harrison says in an overly happy way. “let’s at least celebrate that.” “i’ll toast,” harry salutes him with his empty bottle. “you’re pissed, harry,” sam laughs and grabs it from him. you throw your head back on the cushion. “can time move any slower?”
six.
“i give up. i’m spending new year’s alone,” you throw your hands up in defeat. harry rolls his eyes in mock offense. “hey, you’ve had great company.” “she doesn’t want to hear it, div,” sam reaches behind you and flicks his brother’s head. it earns a quiet “ouch.” you’d normally laugh at their antics, only you don’t have it in you.
you might be acting a little dramatic, but you have the right to. tom’s kisses are everything. that, and you miss the hell out of him. he misses you ten times more. you know it because he’s made sure to tell you every day.
“tom’s coming, y/n. does it really matter if it’s a few minutes late?” harrison asks with a pat on your shoulder. “hours,” you correct him bitterly. he removes his hand before you break it. you turn to sam, who clenches his teeth. “your brother has terrible timing.” “you’ve only just figured that out?”
five.
harrison and sam have you playing some three way game of patty cake when the doorknob starts to move. you immediately snap your head up. is that...
“santa?” harry murmurs in his drunken state. “wrong holiday,” sam tells him. “that’s passed.” harrison chuckles at the conversation. “we should cut him off before-“
the door quickly swings open, a breathless but grinning tom behind it. “guess who?” he drops his bags and opens up his arms. your face lights up the most it has in too long. you run straight over to him. the boys watch on, waiting to say hi until after you two get time together.
“oh my god, you made it!” you giggle out, tom lifting you up by your waist. he secures his arms tightly around you and squeezes. “how’d you actually get here on time?” your voice is muffled by your face pressed into his shoulder. “i’ll always be here for you, angel,” tom assures you, shutting the door with his foot.
he kisses the top of your head. you can feel his lips curve into another smile. “in every way.” you put your arms around his neck, clasping your hands together. “you don’t understand how much i missed you.” you’re returning the smile. “i swear.”
“i promise, i missed you so much more.” he carefully sets you down and keeps his arms around your waist. the two of you exchange a look that says all the i love you’s you don’t currently have the time or privacy to.
“oi, where’s our big hello?” harry calls from the couch.
four.
you’re all squished onto the couch now. tom is sitting in your spot with you in his lap. the others strongly protested it, whining about how you’d go at it or worse. you ignored their complaints and happily took your place on tom’s thigh. your back is to him, so he has his chin on your shoulder to sneak glances at you.
“does anyone have a resolution?” harrison asks the group of you, eyes landing on his best friend. “me?” tom checks, tracing a finger up and down your side. “to take more breaks.” you like that one. you let him know by leaning into him more. “mine’s to move out,” harry remarks. his oldest brother gives him a warning look.
“all jokes. you two are adorable,” he gives you a thumbs up, shaking around his noisemaker again. “this is what i’ve left you with?” tom mumbles to you, fully aware the others can hear. you shake your head. “they terrorized me, tom.” sam is the one to interject.
“that’s rubbish. i cooked every meal you wanted, we-“ “they terrorized me,” you repeat, playfully this time. tom taps under your chin with two fingers. “mhm, sounds like it.”
three.
“do you think tessa would still do a kiss?” harrison asks harry, who cackles when he sees tom’s face. he has to blink a few times to process what was said. you smooth your thumb over the crease in his forehead.
“what did i tell you? they’re weird.” “they’re deranged,” tom leans into your touch. “i won’t let them near her.”
“i feel so... single,” harrison explains with a fake sniffle. he eyes the two of you. that makes tom pull you closer. “stay away from my girls.”
two.
“the moment we’ve been waiting for,” you move so you’re facing tom. “is about to happen.” you also happen to be straddling him so it’s possible. if the boys have anything to say, you won’t be listening. “our new year’s kiss,” he grins, his hands dropping down to your hips. “very big moment.”
one.
tom tilts his head up to you, running his tongue over his lower lip. your party hat is strapped on now. you move in closer until your noses are touching.
“missed this face,” he rasps and nudges your nose with his. “well, here it is,” you bring a hand up to the side of his neck. the boys are huddled in a circle with their party gear, so you have the couch to yourselves. harrison is getting ready to pop a bottle of champagne.
your not so perfect night ended up being better than any of you could’ve expected.
harrison checks his watch and waves a hand at everyone. “twelve, eleven,” he counts you in. “ten, nine, eight,” you all join, you turning your head to look at the others. tom peeks his head out from behind you. “seven, six,” harry eagerly holds out glasses for drinks. “five, four, three,” sam raises up his noisemaker.
“two, one! happy new year!” the champagne sprays everywhere while you turn back to tom.
you erupt in a big smile before he’s pulling you in. he finally presses his lips to yours, your arms going around his neck. it’s easy and soft and you fall right into your usual rhythm. his lips part for you, letting you deepen the kiss.
tom’s eyes are squeezed shut in focus, on you and how you taste like the same lip balm from all those months ago. one of his hands rests on your back to support you. you break away for all of two seconds to take a breath. you’re giggling, and so is tom. you connect your lips again without warning, tom still laughing into it.
“i love you so much,” you pull away to tell him quietly. tom tugs on the top of your party hat with a playful smirk. “i love you, y/n/n. happy new year, babe.” he gives you one more peck on the lips. you’re feeling generous and decide to return it, your kiss lingering a bit.
harry summons you two before it turns into another make out.
“drinks! we have drinks,” he holds his up for emphasis. harrison already poured yours, sam taking a sip of his own while they chat. you climb off of tom and offer him a hand. he gladly takes it, interlocking your fingers and getting up. the two of you walk over to the table hand in hand.
“thanks, bro. happy new year,” tom gives harrison a quick one armed hug and takes his drink. harrison hands you yours after. “thank you,” you take it and flash him a small smile. “for everything.” “anytime,” he pulls you in for a proper hug, tom hugging the twins.
you do the same, then the five of you sit at the table to drink and talk. when they get into a conversation about golf, tom eventually breaks off. he squeezes your knee to get your attention, which you raise a curious eyebrow at. he nods toward the couch.
“we’ll finish that later.”

                                                                                                         [next]
Nothing started your morning off better than the princess screaming her head off first thing in the morning. You, along with other servants, rushed to aid the princess in her time of distress. Although, it was never something to worry about with her. It was always something minor, like her hair was styled incorrectly or she didn’t like the color of clothes her servant picked out. Of course, this time, she was making a fuss that her perfume didn’t smell right.
“Your highness, I promise you, it’s the same one,” one of the servants who aided her in the morning pleaded for her life.
“No! You must have switched it out because it smells nothing like mine!” the princess screeched. The princess was so outraged that she started throwing everything and anything that was around her. Clothes, jewelry, candles, mirrors, anything she could get her hands on, she threw it. You and the other girls that just arrived could only watch in horror as her whole room becomes a mess with her belongings, some broken some completely shattered.
You wanted to say something. But you knew you couldn’t. If you stepped out of line or even talked back to any of the royals, you were surely to be punished severely later. Yet, you wanted to say something so bad. It was on the tip of your tongue. Because you knew the reason why it may smell different to the princess. To help your fellow friend in desperate need, you were going to say it. You pray to the gods that what you were about to say was right.
“Princess, if I may,” you started. The princess stopped what she was doing, midair, to give you the coldest stare you have ever received from her. You gulped. Well, too late to back out now. You bowed down your head respectfully while extending your hand to take the perfume. You don’t know why the princess decided to trust you at that moment, but she did. She nodded her head, allowing one of the servants to retrieve the bottle and place it in the palm of your hands.
“I believe it’s because your clothes already have a different perfume on it.” you explain. You pick up a different piece of clothing, one you knew was clean and free from previous scents, and spritzed the perfume onto it. “Here, does this smell like normal?” you offer the piece of clothing to the princess. For a moment, she stares at it, not believing your words. But she forcibly takes it anyway and smells it. The look of realization hit her harder than when she smashed her mirror against the floor. She spares you a second glance before handing off her perfume to someone and faces away.
“I would like to be left alone,” the princess states. After a synchronized bow from all her servants, you left the princess’s quarters and back to your own. When you were far enough, you let out a big sigh of relief. Man, that was scary. You probably shouldn’t be doing that again any time soon. Your friend hooked arms with you, the unexpected force made you loose your balance.
“Your intuition was spot on, once again,” she stated. You could only roll your eyes.
“I was just trying to help the situation,” you explained.
“Yeah, well if only the princess could use her brain once in a while, then she would have figured it out herself,” your friend puffed out her cheeks in annoyance.
“Well maybe her highness wasn’t feeling herself this morning,” you tried to defend her. But really, there was only so much you could defend her on.
“Oh, please, (y/n). You know that’s how she acts all the time. You act more like a princess than the princess herself,” your friend finally let the cat out of the bag. You quickly slapped her hand and checked your surroundings. Phew, no one of importance was in sight.
“Oh hush now. Don’t say things like that,” you scold her, giving her a stern look.
“What? You know all us girls think that. It doesn’t help that you look almost exactly like her. If I didn’t know better, I would have thought you were the princess instead.”
“Good gracious! Really? How could you say that so loud? What if someone overhears you? Then both you and me could get in trouble,” you warned. You knew your friend couldn’t care less. It was always gossip coming out of these girl’s mouths. That’s how news spreads fast around here. And you didn’t mind the gossip. Actually, you participated in the gossip too. There was a lot of downtime when you weren’t attending to the princess. So what do you do instead? Gossip. But you couldn’t have this type of gossip going around. This was dangerous.
The main girl who caused the princess to get upset, finally left the room. She was visibly traumatized by the whole event. Who wouldn’t be? Dealing with the princess is something else.
You noticed that the girl was bleeding from her finger. She must have gotten it when the princess was throwing glass around the room and it some pieces cut her.
“Come with me,” you gently grabbed her by the arm and led her to a room that was filled with different plants and bottles. The aroma immediately felt welcoming to anyone who stepped in. You went to a part of the room that you knew well and pulled out a bandage.
“This should do the trick,” you say as you finish wrapping her finger up.
“Thank you. How did you…”
“Oh, I learned a few things from the royal doctor. Sort of like an apprentice?” you explained. Being a servant isn’t the only task you knew how to do. On your spare time, you would come to the royal doctor and assist him whenever needed. In return for your volunteer, he taught you everything he knew about medicine. It was still a lot to process, but at least you knew how to do basic first aid.
“Are you even allowed to do that?” the girl asked. You thought for a minute. Was it? It wasn’t stopping you now.
“Well I guess it’s our little secret,” you put your finger to your mouth and gave a small wink.
After properly getting ready, you and the girls rushed to the princess’s side for it was your job to get her ready to be sent of and wedded. And she was not getting wedded off to just any prince. It was the rumored Blood Prince. Ah, yes. You heard much about this Blood Prince. He was the most vicious out of all the princes in the kingdom. Even more so than his eldest brothers. He was rumored to have sharp teeth and eyes that could kill with a single look. He was told to have scars marked all over his body from the battlefield. An ugly being, you imagined. Big, scary, intimidating, ruthless. God, you felt sorry for the princess for marrying such a man. You couldn’t imagine yourself marrying that type of person. Hearing stories about him made your blood run cold and chills down your spine.
You entered the princess’s room where a beautiful, white wedding dress, flowy, magnificent and perfect in all the right ways, was being fitted on the princess. You watched in awe because she looked absolutely fantastical in the dress. What a dream it would to be wear that dress only once in your life. At the same time her dress was being fitted, some servants were doing her hair and putting decorative pins and head pieces on. It was very chaotic in the room, with servants running everywhere, but it was all worth it for the princess to look this way.
You were preparing water for her hands and feet to soak while some of the girls that came with you were deciding which robe that best fits with her wardrobe.
“Your highness looks so lovely,” you commented, gently soaking her hands into warm bowls of water.
“Of course! I have to look my best for a special guest this afternoon,” the princess said in a cheery voice. You tilted your head slightly in confusion. You weren’t aware that the Blood Prince was coming to the palace. You thought the princess was being sent to him instead. You looked up and came into contact with a friend and she was speaking with her eyes.
She doesn’t know. She signaled to you. You frowned.
She doesn’t know?
She does not know.
Your mouth was left slightly ajar. The princess does not know that she is off to be engaged any moment now? This was a dilemma. She thinks a guest is coming. That’s why she’s dressed so much fancier than usual. But when she finds out that she is to be engaged, she’s going to wreck havoc in the palace. Now you really didn’t dare say anything now.
After finding out that very important piece of information, you could see that all the girls in the room knew, besides the princess. The tension in the room was growing increasingly more uncomfortable as time went on. But the princess was so air headed that she couldn’t read the room.
The princess was over the moon with happiness. And it was only because she could wear her fancy and expensive gowns that she can’t wear on the daily. She was skipping down the long corridors, humming a tune to only she knows as you and other servants follow behind her.
“Isn’t this dress beautiful? I feel like I’m in a wedding dress!” the princess exclaimed. You couldn’t help but raise a brow. Well, it’s because the princess is really in a wedding dress. But the princess did look beautiful beyond compare. She almost looked ethereal dancing in front of you like that. As the princess was dancing down the corridor, she passed by one of many large windows that gave a view of the front of the palace. A carriage was waiting to take her away to her fiancé, but she didn’t know that. Or did she?
She stopped in her tracks to take a better look at the carriage outside. A frown laid upon her lips and her eyebrows rightfully furrowed.
“Is that my carriage down there?” she questions. The ladies around you looked at each other, not knowing what to say. But even if they did know what to say, who was going to say it? One of your friends cleared their throat and bowed down to respond to the princess.
“It is, your highness,” she said.
“Whatever for?” a round of gulps could be heard from everyone there.
“For…your trip to your betrothed,” the girl’s voice shook from fear that the princess was going to blow up.
“My betrothed?” the princess repeated.
“Yes, your highness.”
“As in, to marry?”
“Yes, your highness.”
It was quiet. Nothing more came out of the princess’s mouth. And that scared all of you. This was not the normal reaction you were expecting. You expected her highness to rage, cry, scream, yell, destroy everything around her. But no. She was silent, like her tongue was ripped out of her throat.
In one quick movement, the princess turns around and dashes back to her bedroom. And who does she bring along? You! Before you could comprehend anything, the princess had taken you by the hand and now you were running down the corridor with the princess. The other ladies were running after you. When you turned back to look, you even saw a couple of guards running as well. But it was too late for them. The princess got to her room first, slammed the door closed, and barricaded the door with chairs to prevent anyone from coming inside.
“Your highness,” you call, out of breath from the sudden running. The princess didn’t answer you. She started taking off her dress, sending you into complete shock.
“Your highness! What are you doing?” you panicked. She only glared at you while not stopping what she was doing.
“Enough talking. Just take off your clothes,” she ordered you. You bit your lip. You had no idea what was going on but if she demanded it, then you had no choice but to obey. So, you stripped yourself of your filthy clothes and laid them on the floor. While you stood in front of the princess naked, she was getting the remaining of her clothes off. Then, she passed you her dress.
“Quick, put it on,” she said. You hesitated at first. You? Wear something only a princess could wear? But you couldn’t stall any longer. As quickly as you could, you put on the flowy wedding dress while the princess put on your peasant clothes. Banging was coming from the other side of the door, which only made both of you panic even more. If they came in while all this was happening, you would get into so much trouble. As soon as you both got situated in your new outfits, the princess gripped your shoulders so that you were looking her right in the eyes.
“Listen to me closely. You are going to take my place. I’ll be you and you’ll be me until you come back,” she shouted at you in a whisper.
“Your highness?” you began but she shut you up because she wasn’t finished.
“Your mission is to make this prince hate you so much that he calls off this marriage. Then you’ll return and everything will go back to normal,” she continued. It looked like she wanted to say more, but your time together was cut short. The guards had already pushed their way through the door and charging their way towards you. The princess, who was now dressed as you, quickly covered your face with the veil. The veil was thick enough that no one could see your eyes or face.
“Take the princess,” one of the guards ordered. The real princess bowed her head down, faking it until the end. The guards went straight up to you, grabbing you by both of your arms and forcibly escorted you out to the carriage.
And so there you were, on your way to some unknown kingdom, about to marry some man you didn’t even know. All because the princess ordered you to. No matter how much you hated the idea, you couldn’t even voice your opinions to her. You were in no position to do so. Before you left the palace grounds, you looked back, hoping that this was all some sort of sick joke. But the princess was looking down at you from the window, giving you a nod of trust. She trusted you. You had to fulfil her request.
This is how you found yourself in the presence of the most vicious Blood Prince, Bakugou Katsuki.

Flowers of the peace
Pairing: c!Technoblade x Fem!Nymph!Reader
Type: Romantic/fluff; oneshot.
Warnings: mild swearing, mention of angst and injury and silly jokes created by me.
Summary: Technoblade is travelling to the center of smp to get some buisness done. He met Y/n and finally decided to talk with her about a very important case for him. Including more characters.
Words in red colour are Technoblade's voices.
My first x reader fic, spontaneous one.
Today was a quite warm day even in tundra, small layer of snow was covering the ground and sky was half covered by the clouds, which weren't moving a lot. Around was very quiet despite the time, it was almost noon. Animals were resting or sleeping, deadly hound lied calmly around. It seemed, it was such a lazy day. Technoblade went outside holding small backpack and putting something into it. He tied his hair into small bun, rest of them was falling on his back and he was wearing part of casual armor. Phil seeing that, also went outside.
"Hi mate, where are you going?" He asked curiously with gentle smile.
"I'm heading to main Smp part. I have some buisness to finish with Ranboo. I hope in that time it won't be crowded." He responeded and closed backpack.
They both looked at old Ranboo's home in mountain wall. Actually there still were some basic stuff, active farm and some villagers. Enderman hybrid moved to his and Tubbo's mansion in Snowchester two weeks ago. They kinda missed him, but he promised to visit them a lot of times and even stay for some cold weather and fresh air. Also he was still involved in Syndicate stuff.
"Be careful mate then." Philza said with serious tone.
'We miss Enderboy.' 'Let's do it fast.' 'Who will we meet else?'
Technoblade nodded and took Karl. He put a small backpack near the saddle and check everything. Diamond armor was shinning brightly in the sunlight.
"I will don't worry, I just hope to not meet Tommy..." His eyes narrowed. He still didn't forget and forgive young boy.
"Well just avoid bench area. You are going to meet Ranboo in Snowchester?"
"He said that he will be around Community House or Prime path."
"Tell him my sincere greetings." Phil smile widened.
Technoblade jumped at Karl and waved to his companion. Soon he was headed to main Smp part. Today wasn't the day for using a portals. Beautiful weather was conductive for horse riding. Karl seemed to be happy at sudden trip.
}*{
After a two hours Technoblade reached the Community House. He could go to Snowchester first, but honestly he wanted to avoid that area, which smelled like government. He dismounted Karl and took his bridle. Not a chance leaving his horse alone. Here was much warm then in tundra, not coulds and even wind stopped. Around wasn't even a single soul, so he sighted and started to walking down on Prime path. Karl was complelty calm, so he trusted him, but checked his sword, if he can take it fast. When he got near to Tommy's dirt house, he heard Tommy's loud laughing. After reaching the top of the hill he spotted Bench Trio standing there and chatting. Suddenly three pair of eyes looked at him. There was dead silence. Tubbo moved near to Ranboo when Tommy put a hand on Axe of Peace, which hanged of his bolt. They don't have armour, clearly having a good time in this lazy day. Technoblade nodded to them.
"What are you doing here?" Tommy asked with sharp tone.
Since Dream have been in the prison Smp was more calm, most people was minding their buisness, the biggest war was over and it seemed like everyone sighted with relief. Even now this Eggpire cleaned awful vines. Tommy started building his hotel, none was fighting.
"I came here to finish buisness." Techno responed slowly moving his eyes on Ranboo.
Tall teenager looked at his clock, gave himself a facepalm and sighted.
"Oh I am so sorry, I wasn't watching the time..." He said with embarrassment.
"What the fuck man? What deal did you make with him?" Tommy spoke with anger.
'Why he need to be so loud?' 'Just make it done.' 'Cut him.'
Technoblade moved a little bit closer and Ranboo started to search something in his backpack, mumbled to himself.
"Oh... hi everyone...!"
On the path leading to La'Manhole now was standing Y/n with basket full of field flowers and some saplings of roses, tulips and pansies. Her light dress was waving a little on sudden wind and bright smile caused everyone to smiled back.
"Hi Y/n!" Tubbo said and get closer to look at flowers. "Where did you get them?"
"Filed flowers around the... La'Manburg and saplings are from my own flowerbends. You asked me to bring some to your garden and rooms." She responed slowly.
"Oh yes! We asked Foolish of possible ways to decorate garden and flowers for a bees!" Tubbo said with excitement.
When it comes to the bees, Tubbo could talk over and over. Y/n was patience and describe in details flowers which she brought. Meanwhile Tommy moved his eyes again on Technoblade only to rise eyebrows with surprise. Piglin hybrid was like frozen, carefuly observing Y/n. Teenager lips formed into mischief smile.
"I found it!" Ranboo screamed in victory, holding something like gold in his big hand.
Technoblade snapped back to reality and nodded to Enderboy, to move away. He didn't want rest to know, what about deal is. They moved to bench. Karl snorted a little bit.
"Here it is." Ranboo opened his hand, Totem of Undying was inside. Technoblade smiled and nodded to him with satisfied smile.
"As we agreed emeralds and netherite ingot."
They made an exchange, Technoblade quickly hid Totem in his pocket and Ranboo put stones and ingot inside his backpack.
"Pleasure making buisness with you." Blade said with teasing tone.
"You too and I have more, if you want."
" We will see in the future."
Enderman hybrid moved his eyes on his husband and Y/n, there were still chatting peacefuly. Tommy was listening quietly and seemed that he lost interesting at their deal.
'Finally!' 'Let's go home.' 'Maybe stay for a while...'
"Deal is done?" Tommy asked loudly causing Tubbo and Y/n to look at Technoblade and Ranboo.
"Yes. We are done." Piglin hybrid confirmed in neutral voice.
Ranboo moved closer to group, leaving Technoblade with Karl. They stepped again on path after that.
"I think we can head to Snowchester then. Y/n has everything to make gardening and I am willing to help her!" Tubbo clapped hands.
"Yup. I am going to choose my room finally." Tommy emphasized last word strongly.
"Oh you shloud do the same Y/n. As we promised, you can decorate it as you wish." Ranboo said with warm smile.
Y/n lifted head and her eyes meet Techno's. His cute ears dropped a little, but he moved closer to them. Tommy stepped a little to avoid crash with Karl. Soft smile appeard on Y/n lips.
"Technoblade."
"Y/n."
Bench Trio silenced immediately, they could feel the tension in the air. After La'Manburg destruction Y/n lost her home, actually she was neighbor with Ranboo there, but she managed to build one small house in wild fields full of flowers, which was quite away. The closest things were Kinoko Kingdom and Niki's Underground City. Sometimes she wandered to La'Manber ruins and after that usually hanging up with Tommy. She visited Ranboo couple of times in tundra and even had a small talk with Phil. But when Technoblade showed up... they shared awkward silence and shy glances, which were speaking instead of words.
In his retirement they spent a lot of time together, despite the cold in tundra. Her peacefuly pressence caused voices to melt, only quiet whispers appeard. When she was speaking, they were always silence. Technoblade could listen and observe her for ages. They were so diffrent, but something connected them and attraced them to each other. She was standing with Phil on balcony, holding his hand so hard and tears streaming from her beautiful eyes, when Technoblade have been lead to execution. He later told him that Y/n almost fainted when he survived and escaped. She stayed in threshold, knocking sotfly at cottage doors, same day, late night and silence around. When he opened, he immediately put a finger on her mouth and whispering explained that Tommy somehow escaped exile and was sleeping in cellar. So Y/n said nothing, when Technoblade let her in, just hugged him so tightly and burried her face in his chest. With smelling her scent, he calmed himself and slowly forget about rage and happenings on that day.
But after Doomsday everything changed. Technoblade was busy with revenge, deep inside he didn't want to involved Y/n for her safety... but they moved away from each other. She need to build new house, didn't want to completly leave her friends around. Especially when Tommy and Tubbo found in her big comfort. She visited Tommy in exile couple of times, always bringing warm words and usefull advices. After Discs Finale, when Dream have been put into a prison, they needed her a lot. Tommy would never confessed that he had nightmares about Tubbo's death and himself being trapped in cell. Technoblade was busy with forming Syndicate, spending days on planning, building and searching stuff. He heard from Ranboo how Y/n was doing, but there always weren't time to talk.
And now they were here.
'We miss her angelic voice.' 'Stop staring, do something.' 'Stab Tommy.'
"I really don't want to interrupt this strange moment, but..." He couldn't even end, because Technoblade stepped at his foot. His shoes had small heels and was shod with metal.
Y/n giggled softly breaking eye contact with Technoblade and blushed a little bit.
"Can we talk?" Blade asked with deep voice.
"Of course." She nodded then handed her basket to Tubbo. He immediately straigthed his back, because of this important task. Technoblade gave without hesitation Karl's bridle to Ranboo, which eyes expanded and he grabbed it with his full strenght. When horse would run away... oh boy.
"It looks like we got important tasks." Tubbo said with full serious in his voice.
Ranboo nodded to him, when Tommy literally rolled his eyes.
Technoblade and Y/n moved slowly and silently aside, stepping away from path and walking on grass. She faced the sun, pulling her hair together, it laid freely on her back. Some strands still stayed on her face and Technoblade had to use his all strenght to resist taking them off. He just couldn't. Her scent full of flowers reached his nose, taking deep breath felt like heaven.
"Weather is very good." He started slowly and little unsure.
Y/n turned back to him with shy smile, studing hia posture. "Oh yes, it's warmer this days. My flowers age growing fast and I really enjoy the sun." She glanced at him. " Isn't too hot for you in this cape?"
"Well, I am still living in tundra and come on, style is breathtaking "Technoblade spread a little his arms.
Y/n could easily spotted part of armor on his arms and legs. It wasn't his best one, but he was still prepared for any fight. Yes, he looked very good, handsome. She couldn't help her slighty blushing cheeks.
"Are you moving to the mansion?" Techno finally asked, his voice was dead serious.
Y/n looked directly at his eyes with surprise. She didn't expect such a question. "No, I mean they offered me room, to stay in longer visits or if I would like to have a nap. I really enjoy their company."
He made a step closer and lean down, almost forgot how small she was compared to him. They both felt burning glances of Bench Trio.
"I miss you." He whispered honestly.
'We are missing her voice, scent and pressence.' 'We need her.' "We want her.'
"I... I miss you too." She responded quietly.
Pleased smile crawled at Technoblade's lips. Deep inside he was really happy about that, but didn't want to show it in front of Bench Trio. Y/n looked down with sudden shyness.
He took gently her small, compared to his hand. She squeezed lightly his fingers in response. "Would you like to...?"
"Y/n! We need to go, hurry up!" Tubbo screamed while was holding her basket.
"Yeah come one, we have a lot of stuff to do!" Tommy agreed.
Technoblade sighted after this rude cut, but Y/n shrugged with helplessness and playful smile. She hugged him tightly for goodbye, his second hand rested on her flabby waist.
"Meet me here after sunset." She whispered before letting him go.
He nodded before he let go of her hand. Y/n waved to him and went to Trio Bench. Ranboo gave Techno Karl's bridle. He observed while group was heading to Snowchester, then he jumped at horse and started to moving into tundra's direction.
}*{
Technoblade left Karl in hurry, then almost ran into a cottage. Phil frowned observing this from his window, but then shrugged and went take care of his cases. An hour passed and he heard some suspicious sounds from Techno's home, also him swearing. He decided to see what is going on, so went outside and knocked loudly. His friend opened. "Hi Phil, I'm a little busy right now..."
"What happend mate?" Winged man asked looking inside.
"I need to clean whole area..." He sighted with awkward smile.
"But why?"
Technoblade said nothing, it was a little too early to talk about it. "You... need some help honestly?"
"I will be so greatful!" Techno said and went beck to cleaning. Actually he successfuly tided first floor and kitchen, for now put food into a chest and cups into cupboard.
"Chests in magazine too?" Phil asked looking at his friend with confusion. Technoblade made facepalm. "I completly forgot about them... she would like to have order there!" He dropped everything and went down. His companion rose eyebrows with surprise. She?
}*{
Heading second time to main Smp part was faster and full of unsure feelings for Technoblade. Karl seemed to be happy of another trip. When they again reached top of the hill, she was there. Y/n stood near bench in his old crimson cloak, hemmed by fur, watching the sunset. Slowly crimson glow was turned into grey. Horse snorted and she turned head to greet him with warm smile. Technoblade responded with lazy smile and dismount Karl. Moving slowly to her, spotted that she was holding avaraged size, lether backpack and near the bench was closed chest.
"Hi again." Blade said with smile. "I am little bit late but I hope that you wasn't waiting long."
"I actually just came here. Boys let me left mansion three hours ago." She giggled softly.
"You got your room in mansion?"
"Yes... we decorated it with Ranboo's and Tubbo's furnitures."
"So... you have in this chest more personal stuff to put there?" Technoblade asked taking deep breath.
Y/n ignored the question and smiled softly to him. "What did you want me to ask earlier?"
"Well... I think it doesn't matter now." His shoulder dropped.
She looked directly into his eyes. "It matters, because the answer is yes."
Technoblade moved closer with visible confusion. "What?"
"Yes. I am ready for a trip, I have this cloak if it happen to be very cold and even have gloves in pocket."
He studied her figure quickly, under cloak she was wearing warm, woolen dress, completly diffrent that early, light one. High boots and hair braided tightly.
"No." Technoblade looked at her in disbelief.
Y/n nodded and her smile widened. In a blink of eye piglin hybird hugged her tightly. She rested her head against his chest, feeling heat from his body.
'She is going with us.' 'We can't belive.' 'Hurry up, before someone will show up.'
"Let's go, you have to be tired." Technoblade said after a few minutes. He took her chest and pinned it to saddle, Karl stayed calmly. She pated his neck, smiling softly. Blade mounted horse and offer her his hand to help. She grabbed it strongly and sat down sideways.
"Karl can lifted us both?" She asked unsure.
"He lifted heavier things than you sweetheart, you can belive me, he will be good." Techno smiled, he always was impressed by her caring way.
Y/n hugged his waist and again rested her head against his chest. The trip was quietly, they enjoyed each other pressence, when they reached tundra, night fell and snow started slowly rain. Finally they stopped in front of Technoblade's house. Deadly hound didn't even react to new person nearbay and bears was sleeping peacefuly around. Piglin hybrid first dismounted Karl and help Y/n by grabbing her waist and put her on the ground. She nodded in gratitude and grabbed his hand. He took her chest and they reached the stairs.
"You didn't introduce me new visitor?" Phil's voice caught them near doors. Winged man stood in his threshold with crossed arms and playful smile.
"Hi Phil." Y/n said and blushed hardly.
"Tomorrow my friend. You shloud go to the sleep old man." Technoblade teased him.
"I hope you will be gentelman and offer lady a separate bed." Phil winked to them and then went inside his house. "Goodnight lovebirds."
Blade rolled his eyes and opened doors for Y/n. She went inside and looked around carefuly. Nothing changed at all, but maybe one thing...
"You... cleaned whole house." She giggled softly.
"Oh yes and I even created some spare place in cellar for your flowers." He put her chest on the ground and closed door. Their eyes met. Technoblade quickly had covered the distance between them, then cupped her face and gently pressed their lips together. Y/n breathing quickened, same as his heartbeating. After a kiss, their hands found themselfes, when Techno lean his forehead against her.
"I love you." He whispered softly.
"I love you too." She responded quietly.
'We love her.' 'We are going to take care of her.' 'Never, ever let her go again.'

Carnivals.
Pairing: Andy Barber x F!Reader
Genre: Fluff
Warnings: mentions of domestic abuse.
Requested: nope
Summary: Andy and Y/N meet for the first time at a carnival... or maybe it's the second time.
Author's Note: Hiya peeps! This is a Defending Jacob AU where Andy has one more kid, a 5-year-old boy called Liam. enjoy!
---
Andy stared at his son with a disappointed look on his face as the tiny 5-year-old threw a tantrum. "Are you done?" he deadpanned, which caused his son to cry harder. Taking out his wallet, Andy showed it to his son, again, saying, "Look, I'm outta cash right now! We spent it all on other snacks and games! I can't buy you the lollipop, bub." His son wouldn't hear it.
Andy was out at a carnival with his 5 year old son, Liam. Who was currently wailing at the top of his lungs since Andy was not buying him the very big lollipop they were currently staring at. After everything that happened with Jacob, Andy and his ex-wife Laurie had... fallen apart.
They decided that a divorce was the only best option so here he was now, single and had full custody of Liam. Laurie had chosen Jacob. "Liam, stop crying, come on..." Andy insisted with a soft sigh, kneeling next to his kid. "Dada! I want the lolly!" Liam sobbed, curling up against his father.
"I told you already, we spent all our money. If I go to get some more, it'll be too late. Just forget the candy, Liam, we have sweets at home," he tried. "No!" Andy pinched the bridge of his nose. "Excuse me." His head snapped up at the feminine voice and his eyes met Y/E/C. The woman had a soft smile on her face, and she was holding the hand of her own daughter.
The daughter was older than Liam, maybe 10-11 years old. "Hi there," he said with a smile of his own, standing up with Liam in his arms. He had momentarily stopped crying, also staring at the lady and her daughter. Andy really thought he had seen her somewhere, but couldn't put a finger on it. Where have I seen her?
"Can I ask you something, sweetie?" the lady addressed his son. Liam nodded. "Do you want that?" She pointed to the lollipop and Liam's eyes twinkled as he nodded once again, this time with excitement. "What a coincidence! My daughter wants one too, how about I buy one for both of you?" Andy's eyes went wide.
"You really don't have to, ma'am," he refused but she shook her head, a winsome smile that had Andy's heart melting gracing her lips. "I don't have to. I want to. Please. Your son wants it really bad, doesn't he?" Andy chuckled and ran a hand through his hair. "He does, been throwing a tantrum for the past 20 minutes."
Y/N immediately bought two of the big lollipops, handing one to Liam and the other to her daughter. "Camila, come on baby, introduce yourself," Y/N smiled. The daughter gave Andy and Liam a winning smile. "Hi! I'm Camila Y/L/N, nice to meet you!" Andy smiled back at her.
"Hi bub, I'm Andy Barber and this is my son, Liam." Liam wiggled in his father's arms and he put him down. "Let's go check out the merry-go-round!" Liam squealed as he took Camila's hand, leading her away from both the parents. "He's so cute!" Camila called out cheekily and Andy laughed. "Don't stray far, both of you!" Y/N shouted after them.
"Okay, ma!"
Once both kids were gone, Andy and Y/N moved to a nearby bench. "Do you remember me, Mr Barber?" she asked him all of a sudden and he froze. Shit shit shit, where have I seen her before? I knew it! "I, um, I don't seem to..." he stammered but Y/N shook her head, giving him a soft smile. "It's fine, I didn't expect you to. We met a long time ago."
"Where, may I ask?"
"Well, um, I was one of your clients, actually. You were my lawyer when I got a divorce from my ex-husband." Memories flashed in his head as he remembered her. "Y/N Y/L/N! Yes! Now I remember, it's very good to see you again!" Both of them laughed a bit. "It's been a nice few years."
"Camila has grown a lot, last time I saw her she was a baby," Andy smiled but it quickly faded as he thought of her ex-husband. He was a cruel man; abused his wife, took her for granted. Y/N was only 21 or 22 then, which made her around 30 now. Andy had seen her wounds a few times; she once had a swollen eye. "Mr Barber?" He snapped out of his thoughts.
"Right, um, sorry," he cleared his throat and looked away, running a hand through his hair again. "You went very quiet all of a sudden, all okay?" Y/N frowned. "Just thinking about that ex of yours. He hasn't reached out to you in any way, has he? Because if he has, that motherfucking asshole—" Y/N cut him off by laughing.
"He hasn't, don't worry. Camila and I are doing very well." He glanced at her. "No new boyfriend?" Y/N bit her lip shyly and shook her head. "Not really. It's a bit difficult to date when you're a divorcée and have a ten year old daughter. No one wants the package," she huffed. Andy took his time observing her. Gorgeous.
She visibly looked different. Her style had changed, her hair had grown... far from the young lady he met around a decade ago. She looked beautiful then, but ethereal now. Her smile was still the same, as were her kind eyes that made him warm inside even after all these years. Sure, back then, he treated her simply like a client, a friend maybe.
But now?
Something felt different.
When she smiled at him, a shiver ran down his spine. "So, how are Jacob and Laurie? Are they doing well?" Y/N asked him and he involuntarily tensed. Truth was, it had been a year since he last saw them. He had cut off all ties with them, starting a new life— just him and Liam. "I, uh... I don't know," he muttered truthfully.
"You don't...?" Y/N blinked at him. "Laurie and I, we... we got a divorce too, after everything that happened with Jacob." Y/N had heard of that, how the lawyer's own son got accused of murder. He ended up not guilty, but the damage had been done. "I'm so sorry, Mr Barber," she whispered apologetically and he shook his head. "Not your fault. And call me Andy, please."
She gave him another smile. "Andy." And butterflies flitted around in his stomach as his name fell from her lips. He liked the sound of that. "So, what was the deal with Liam? Were you not getting him the lolly on purpose or...?" He laughed and shook his head. "No no, I was ready to get him that, I just ran outta money. Spent it all on other snacks and the rides."
Y/N laughed along. "Kids, am I right?" Both of them fondly shook their heads and turned to where Camila and Liam were playing alone on the merry-go-round. The carnival was about to close, so not many people were left. Y/N stole a glance at Andy. When she had first met him, she had immediately taken a liking to him.
But it wasn't like she could do anything about it; he had a wife and a child— Jacob was only 6 years old then. Now, though... "Are you seeing anyone?" she blurted out and Andy turned to her, visibly surprised at the question. Mortified, Y/N turned away from as she bit her lip again. "Sorry, uhm, ignore me, I just, I—"
"No, I'm not seeing anyone," he answered and she looked at him. He had a soft smile on his face. "Dada! Dada, can we go home?!" Liam and Camila soon made their way over to them. "I'm also tired, ma," Camila yawned and plopped down on Y/N's lap. She chuckled and kissed her on the side of her head. "Let's go home."
"Dada, will I meet Camila again?" Liam pouted at his father. Andy and Y/N looked at each other, a deep blush gracing his cheeks as Y/N looked away from him with pursed lips and a small, embarrassed smile. "If Y/N wants," he answered finally. "I'd like that very much, Andy." Camila and Liam cheered. "Yay! Can she come over to our house?"
"Sure thing, bud. Come on, say goodbye now," Andy stood up with Liam in his arms. Camila hopped off Y/N's lap and held her mother's hand, waving at Liam. "Bye Y/N, by Cami," Liam murmured sleepily, already clinging to his father as he buried his face in his neck. "Bye, sweetheart," Y/N laughed, exchanging numbers with Andy.
"I'll text you later, yeah?"
"Sure thing, Andy."
---
"Cami!"
"Liam!"
Y/N and Andy grinned as the two kids ran towards each other, hugging each other tightly. "Let's go to my room!" Liam insisted and the two took off, running up the stairs. Y/N, who was still standing outside the front door, shook her head. "Fast friends, aren't they?" Andy called her in and she stepped into the house, taking off her overcoat. Andy took it from her. "Yep."
Y/N also took off her shoes and kept them near the door as she walked in. "You have a nice house," she complimented and he blushed again. He had thoroughly cleaned it out in the morning just because he knew Y/N and Camila were going to visit in the afternoon. "Thank you so much. Can I get you anything? Some water?"
"That would be amazing, thank you."
Soon, the two settled down on the couchs, a glass of water in Y/N's hand. "So, are you still at your old job?" Conversation flowed easily between them as they sat there, occasional squeals and giggles coming from Liam's room upstairs. "It's great how you're looking after Liam and managing being a DA at the same time."
Andy chuckled bashfully. "It gets lonely sometimes, you know? Liam asks for his mother sometimes. I know it's been a few years, he was a baby then, doesn't even remember her properly but that doesn't stop him. I have no idea what to say to him," he admitted. "Same case with Camila," Y/N grimaced.
"Sucks, doesn't it? Kids need both parents," Andy breathed out. "Sure does. My own parents got one when I was 16. I desperately hoped my marriage wouldn't end up like that but... well, it did." Andy frowned at her. "And don't you dare blame yourself for it. It wasn't you. You are the most perfect person ever, it was your stupid ex who didn't deserve you and treated you like shit."
Y/N smiled softly at his words. "I am the most perfect person ever, huh?" she teased and Andy realized what he had blurted out. But he didn't back down. "You are. You always have been. Kind, polite, caring, intelligent... a great mother, by the way... you are awesome. I may not have noticed it then but now I have."
"Can I tell you something?"
"Sure thing, sweetheart." Y/N gave him another shy smile. "I've always thought you were handsome. Also intelligent, wise... just overall amazing, ya know? But then, I meant it in the form of respect, a fleeting crush. Now, though..." Andy's gaze darkened as he watched Y/N, who looked away from him while biting her lip.
He shifted closer to her. "Now what, Y/N? How do you mean it now?" he whispered, tilting her head in his direction. Y/N shakily let out a breath and Andy smirked, catching her lips in a searing kiss. "Now I mean it in a completely different way," she whispered when they pulled away to breathe. "Glad to hear it, darling," he smirked.
"What about you, Mr Barber?"
"I like you," he blurted out, "Really, I do. Maybe you can stay for dinner tonight?" Y/N gave him a huge smile. "I'd love to stay for dinner, Andy!" He grinned at her and both of them turned to the TV. Andy leaned against the couch, Y/N snuggling into his side as he switched the TV on, settling on a Disney movie playing on one channel.
He put an arm around her shoulders, her head resting on his chest. Just as they relaxed, two people came tumbling down the stairs. "We thought we heard Coco!" Camila squealed before freezing at the position Andy and Y/N were sitting in. Y/N threw her daughter a nervous smile, which soon turned into a horrified expression as the younger Y/L/N's eyes twinkled with mischief.
"I'm sure they're about to change the channel, Li, why don't we go back upstairs?" Liam pouted at Camila, seemingly unaffected by Andy and Y/N. The two adults glanced at each other, eyes wide. "But I wanna watch Coco," Liam whined. Camila whispered something in his ear.
Liam then looked over at Andy and Y/N, a disgusted look on his face. "Ew! You two are gross!" he blurted out before running back up the stairs. "What did you tell him, little miss?" Andy huffed out a laugh. "Just that you two have been kissing," Camila smirked, "Enjoy your date!"
She went back upstairs as well. Y/N and Andy continued staring at each other before promptly bursting into a fit of giggles. "Ah, kids," Y/N wheezed, wiping away a few tears of mirth. Andy pressed a quick kiss to her temple and they settled down in front of the television again.
---
Days turned into weeks. Weeks into months and months into years.
Time flew by, only strengthening Andy and Y/N's relationship.
"Y/N! Honey!" Y/N's head shot up at the sound of whimpers and her husband's shouts as she walked out of the kitchen, wiping her hands on her apron. Andy was carrying a crying Liam into the house, a cut visible on his knee and a few scratches on his arm. Camila soon followed in with Liam's bicycle.
"He fell," Andy sighed as he placed the 11 year old boy on the couch. "Aw, honey, hang on, I'll bring the first aid kit. Andy, can you take care of the food for me?" He readily agreed and went to the kitchen, a 16 year old Camila in tow as Y/N fetched the first aid kit. "Can I tell you something?" Liam muttered as she cleaned his wound.
"Anything," she smiled at him. "You're the best mom ever. I know you're not my biological mom but... but I... I met her once and I have decided that— that I like you better. Th-Thank you for being there and marrying dad. He's the happiest he's ever been, all because of you." Y/N teared up at his words.
"Liam, oh my God," she whispered and the boy pulled her in for a hug. "I love you," he whispered and Y/N cried harder. "I love you too, I love you so much," she sniffled, smiling as Liam wiped her tears off. "Dinner is sort— Y/N? Why are you crying sweetheart?" She felt a hand on her shoulder and pulled away from Liam.
"Nothing," she sighed, giving Andy a soft smile. He blinked and looked at Liam, who was desperately trying to convince all of them that his tears were because of his wounds. "Okay," Andy drawled, "Well, dinner is ready. Why don't we all eat? You'll feel better afterwards." A pause. "We can even have ice-cream."
At the mention of ice-cream Liam sat up straight, eyes twinkling. "You promise, dad?" Andy nodded. Liam cheered and got up, waddling towards the dining table where Camila already sat, busy texting on her phone. Andy and Y/N shared a laugh as Liam flicked her on the forehead, getting a slap on the back in return.
Once both the kids were busy, Andy turned to Y/N. "Why were you crying, sweetie? You know I hate to see you cry," he murmured. Y/N sighed and rested her forehead on his chest as his arms went around her waist. "Liam told me I was the best mom ever," she breathed, "And how happy he was to have me in yours and his life."
Andy rubbed her back, a huge smile blooming on his face. "He was right. I am one lucky man, you know? To have someone as gorgeous and wonderful as you. Still can't believe you said yes when I proposed," he teased, laughing when Y/N lightly slapped his bicep.
"It didn't work out well for both of us the first time, did it?" Y/N hummed. "No, not really. But now I'm not letting this family go," Andy spoke firmly, pressing a kiss to her forehead. Y/N smiled and he instinctively reached down to kiss her lips, his hands sliding down to her butt. "How about another addition to the family, Mrs Barber?"
Y/N squealed. "Andy! The kids are in the next room!" Andy grinned. "Come on—"
"Mom! Dad! Are you done canoodling?! We're hungry!"
"Oh my— we're coming, just two minutes!"
Andy laughed loudly as Y/N hurriedly stepped out of his arms, face flushed as she entered the kitchen. He then crossed his arms and stood there for a second more; life gave him a second chance and he was, for sure, not going to mess it up this time.

A/N: I just realized Laurie might have come off as a bit of a... bad character in this one and for that I apologize, I'm sure she's very nice in the series. Thanks for reading, leave a like if you enjoyed!

Author’s Note: I KNOW, I know, I write a lot of Aizawa fics, and they’re all DD/LG stuff. I know, okay? It’s an obsession, I’m in love with this man. Anyway, another soft dom Aizawa, but reader isn’t very well-versed in intimacy. Also, reader is what some would call medium-sized. Not necessarily big, but definitely not small. This is for all my medium-sized girls, including myself. I was very self-indulgent with this one.
Part 2
Enjoy~

You’d always been told you were mature for your age. It wasn’t until recently you realized how true that statement might be. You’re currently 21. And very, very single. You’ve had a total of six different relationships, and all of them fell through for one very simple reason. The boys you dated were just that. Boys. They were extremely immature. Only ever wanting to ‘hang with the boys’ or stay at home. No effort was put into the relationship on their part after the first few weeks. You didn’t understand why these vastly different boys were all so adamant on staying inside.
You’d tried desperately to get them to go out on dates with you. You offered to pay, and drive, and literally anything else. But no, they were too busy playing video games or getting higher than the damn sky. Don’t even start thinking about sex. You hadn’t got any of that shit since your first ‘boyfriend’ at 17, who used you like a sex doll and broke it off once he found someone hotter and sexier and altogether better in his eyes. You were sick of it. So you did the last thing you’d ever want to do. You went on a blind date.
You’d stumbled on a website last week that allowed you to set up a blind date with a stranger. It seemed legit, and had background checks on all participants. It also allowed you to put in any preferences you had, and matched you with someone that had similar preferences and hobbies. The age range you put in? 30-35 years old. Because guys your age just didn’t cut it. You needed someone more mature, someone who could treat you like a woman, not some girl.
Today, almost a week after matching with someone, you were standing outside an italian restaurant. You didn’t know his face, just his name and age, and that he was a teacher. Aizawa Shouta, 31 years old. And he’d sent a single message when you matched.
Meet me at this location on Saturday. When you enter, I’ll be at the back corner table. Semi-formal. 8 pm, please don’t be late.
It was blunt and straightforward. You liked it. You just hoped he wasn’t quite this blunt in person. You’d put on a black knee-length cocktail dress with a halter top and a partially open back that fell to the small of your back. It accentuated your shoulders and the top half of your torso before fanning out at your waist, the silky material falling and swaying around you.
You slipped on simple white heels and silver jewelry, with a white clutch purse. You’d decided to pull your hair into a loose half-up half-down, a silver comb pinning your hair in place, minimal makeup and clear lip gloss. For the first time in a while you felt pretty. You knew you weren’t exactly small, but the way you were dressed gave you confidence.
You looked at your watch. 7:55 pm. You took a deep breath, straightened out your dress, and stepped into the restaurant. The host asked if you had a reservation, and you told him you were meeting someone who already arrived. He let you pass, and you walked back to the table Aizawa told you to meet at. He had his back to you as you approached, but you could see his broad shoulders and muscular frame easily.
He wore a white long-sleeve button down, sleeves rolled up to his elbows, and a black vest fitted to his form. His slacks were also fitted, showing off his muscular thighs. His long raven hair was pulled in a half-up half-down similar to yours. You hadn’t even seen his face yet and he looked delicious.
Your heels clacked on the wood flooring, and as you neared the booth he turned to look at you. You stopped next to the table and got a good look at the stranger. He was beautiful. His dark bloodshot eyes looked tired, the bags underneath giving him away and only adding to his appeal, and a scar curved under his right eye. A sharp jawline, with a tamed scruff, and thin lips in a neutral expression. You were about to introduce yourself, but he stood from the booth and held his hand out, palm up. “You must be (y/l/n) (y/n).” You smiled at the gesture, and placed your hand in his. “That’s me. And you are Aizawa Shouta. It’s a pleasure to meet you.” He pulled your hand to his lips and placed a kiss on your knuckles, before leading you to your seat.
As he sat down, you noticed a bottle of wine sitting in the center of the table in a bucket of ice, and two glasses of wine halfway full. One sat in front of you, and the other in front of Aizawa. He began the conversation with a rather specific question. “So, (y/l/n), why are you on a dating website looking for men that are so much older than you?” Normally you’d take offense to a question like that, but the way he said it was pure curiosity. So, you answered. “If I’m being honest, it’s actually pretty simple. Guys my age just don’t know how to treat me.”
He raised an eyebrow at that, a barely noticeable smirk tugging at his lips. “And how do you want to be treated?” You smiled a little at the implications behind the question, and answered. “I don’t want to be stuck in my room while my ‘boyfriend’ plays video games and smokes weed. I don’t want to be ‘one of the boys’, and I don’t want to have to plead and beg to go on a date or spend time with him. I want to be treated like a woman, not a girl. And I want to spend my time with a man, not waste it on a boy.”
At that, Aizawa smirked and sipped at his wine. You both took a quick look at the menu and ordered when the waiter came. As you ate, you talked about random subjects and hit it off quite well. The date went by quickly, and at the end of the night you’d exchanged numbers. “I look forward to another date with you, Ms. (y/l/n).” “The feeling is mutual, Mr. Aizawa.”
When you got back home, you undressed and cleaned your face and got into bed. As you lay there, your mind drifted back to the date, and how undeniably handsome Aizawa is. The way he spoke to you like you were his equal, and looking at you like an ancient treasure. He was everything you wanted, without even considering anything sexual. Little did you know he felt much the same way.
____
When the date ended he texted Hizashi to let him know he was free. Hizashi, of course, called him immediately, and began drilling him about the date. “How’d it go Sho? Was it a rando with a thing for older guys? Did she want a sugar daddy?” Shouta rolled his eyes. “No, Zashi, she wasn’t looking for a sugar daddy. She was...actually really mature for a 21 year old. She knows what she wants. I admire that a little. And I won’t lie, she’s quite beautiful. Not the generic, model, beauty-pageant, barbie doll pretty. It’s a natural glow she has. It’s...quite mesmerizing...”
Hizashi exploded on the other side, laughing at the new infatuation his friend had for a blind date. “I hope she’s your type, Sho. I mean physically. I know how much you like them with a little meat on their bones.” Aizawa groaned at his comment. He knew he was just teasing, but that his blonde friend was 100% right. He knew he had a type, and he’d be lying to himself if he hadn’t looked at your full figure quite frequently.
He’d taken in your dress, how it showed off your shoulders and back. As you climbed into your car and took off your heels, he trailed his eyes up your legs, getting a small glimpse at your thick thighs. When you sat up behind the wheel, he revelled in the small rolls showing through your dress, wanting nothing more than to squeeze them and kiss them and bite them...
He shook away the thoughts that were threatening to take over his mind. “Shut it Hizashi. Her body is none of my concern, and is most definitely none of yours. I enjoyed the date and that’s what matters.” The loud blonde gasped dramatically, “Oh my god she totally is! Damn you go get some Sho!” Aizawa just ended the call.

The next date was planned once again by Aizawa, and it was only a week after the first. It was a simple coffee date at a small cafe. You talked casually about the things you enjoyed doing. You convinced him to let you take care of the next date, which you decided would be a relaxed ramen date. You’d gotten comfortable around each other, and after about six more dates, he invited you over to his place for dinner. Of course, you accepted.
He’d sent you the address and apartment number, and you stood outside his door in dark jeans, black flats, and a beige sweater with a white tank top underneath. You knocked on the door, and when it opened he greeted you with a peck on the cheek. It had become a normal greeting, since you’d gotten so close, though the gesture always made you a little shy. He told you to get comfortable as he finished up dinner, and you sat at the kitchen table and admired him as he worked in the kitchen. He wore fitted blue denim jeans, and a black cotton t-shirt, his hair pulled up in a bun.
No matter how many times you looked at him, he was always just as shockingly handsome as the first time you saw him. His t-shirt left his toned arms exposed, and it was fitted to his torso, showing off his muscular frame. Your eyes traced the outline of his muscles from his shoulder, down his arm, drifting to his hips and up his back. You didn’t notice him glance back and smirk at you. “Like what you see kitty cat?” Heat rushed to your face at the realization that you’d been staring, and the fact that he’d noticed. And that name… “K-kitty?” you barely whispered, before quickly apologizing. “Sorry, I didn’t mean to stare.”
You didn’t think he heard the first part. You were wrong. “It’s alright. And yes, kitty. Don’t like the pet name?” Your face burned at the tone of his voice. “N-no, the name’s fine, you just...caught me off guard.” He chuckled. “I should do it more often. You’re cute when you’re flustered.” You didn’t think your face could get any hotter, but it did. You tilted your head down and away from him and bit your lip, letting your hair fall to hide your face. You’d never gotten this kind of attention before, and you had no idea how to handle it.
You were too busy trying to calm your breathing to hear him approach you. The proximity and demanding tone of his voice made you jump a little. “Look at me, kitten.” You swallowed and took a breath before turning your head to him, and he hooked a finger under your chin, tilting your head so you were forced to sit up taller. He moved even closer, your shoulder brushing against his abdomen, and you nearly had to look straight up to look in his eyes.
Your eyes began to drift away from his, and he jerked your chin up higher, silently commanding you not to look away. You brought your eyes back to his and held his gaze, and after a few moments he smirked. The hand under your chin moved to stroke your cheek with his knuckles. “Good girl.”
He quickly dropped his hand and went back to the kitchen to finish preparing dinner. It took you a few seconds to let out a breath you didn’t know you were holding. You panted a little, trying to calm yourself from what just happened, and clasped your shaking hands together. But they weren’t shaking from fear. In fact, you couldn’t quite tell why you were so shaky and out of breath. And the praise from him sent a shiver down your spine.
He managed to distract you while you ate, and you had completely recovered from whatever that was earlier. After dinner you moved into the living room and relaxed on the couch while you talked some more. Soon he’d leaned his head back and closed his eyes, still talking and listening, but clearly relaxed. Once again you found yourself distracted by his body, following the muscles in his neck down to his toned chest and abdomen. And again, he noticed. “I can feel your eyes on me, kitten.” His voice was low, a rumble of smooth baritone. You found yourself turning away to hide your face again, and the command in his voice controlled you with ease.
“Don’t look away from me, kitten.” You turned back to him, and when your eyes met his, you looked away, and he let out a low growl and your eyes snapped back to him. He adjusted and sat up, your eyes still fixed on each other. He pat his leg, “Come here kitty.” You blinked at him, not quite prepared for such a demand. His eyes darkened a little and his voice dropped to a growl, “I won’t ask twice.”
At that you got up and went to sit on one of his legs, but he pulled his knees together and shook his head. So you climbed over and straddled his legs on your knees. He grabbed your hips and pulled you so you were fully sitting on his lap, your core dangerously close to his growing bulge.
Your eyes were still locked on his as he leaned close to you, his hands rubbing circles into your hips.  He leaned past your face and whispered into your ear. “Can I touch you kitty?” You took a shaky breath and nodded. He laid a light spank on your ass and you jumped. “Use your words kitty cat.” “Y-yes, you can t-touch me.” He laid a kiss on your neck and whispered ‘good girl’ before moving his hands under your sweater and tank top. He ran his hands up and down your back, and he gripped the fatty flesh of your stomach and hips, kneading it in his palms gently as he worked his way up your body, leaving feather light kisses along your neck and jaw.
The intimacy had you quivering, and the way he nearly worshipped your body had your breaths coming out shaky and heavy. Shouta caught on quickly. “Is it safe for me to assume you haven’t done anything in a while?” he said in your ear. You started to nod, but quickly caught yourself, “Y-yes.” He stilled his movements and wrapped his arms around your waist, resting his chin on your shoulder. “Tell me what you did before this.” You took a breath and explained the situation as simply and quickly as possible.
His arms tensed, clearly upset that you’d been used like that. But he didn’t pry into that right now. “So you haven’t explored anything? Like any preferences you might have?” You shook your head quickly, “N-no...why?” He chuckled. “Well, kitty, you’re quite submissive. If you’d let me, I can help you explore this side of you.” You swallowed and nodded. “Y-yeah, I think I’d like that.” He hummed into your neck, “We can start tonight, but only if you’re comfortable and you want to.” You took a few moments to think about your answer. This man had been nothing but good to you. He treated you with more respect than all the boys you dated had combined. And you trusted him. “I...I’m comfortable starting tonight.”
“Alright kitty. Now, listen to me closely, because this is important, okay?” “Okay, I’m listening.” “Good. Since this is new to you, we need to establish a safeword. Is ‘roses’ alright?” You nod. “Okay. Now if anything ever gets too much for you, if you feel uncomfortable for any reason, if you need to stop for any reason, or if there’s a medical emergency, you need to use it. And that goes for me too. If I don’t like where things are going, I’ll use it. Once we use the safeword, everything will stop right there, no questions asked. Understand?”
“I understand.” “Okay. Can I trust you to use it if you feel the need to?” You nod, “Yes. I’ll use it if I need to.” He kisses your neck, “Good girl.” The praise makes you shudder, and you feel him smile into your neck. “Now, kitty, I want you to address me as either ‘Daddy’, ‘Sir’, or ‘Master’ when we’re like this, do you understand?” “Yes.” He spanks you a little harder. “Yes what?” You jump at the contact “Y-yes Sir.” Another kiss on your neck, “Good girl.” He leans back and taps your arms, “Up.” You lift your arms and he pulls off your sweater and tank top at the same time.
His hands come back down on your shoulders, and he runs his hands down your chest and stomach, taking the time to remove your bra and knead your breasts. He wraps his arms around you and stands up, and you wrap your arms around his neck and your legs around his waist as he carries you to his bedroom. He puts you down on the bed on your back and takes a rope out of the bedside table. You let him take your hands and tie your wrists to the bar at the headboard. It’s not uncomfortably tight, but a few experimental tugs tell you it’s solid and you won’t be getting out of it unless he unties you.
He trails kisses down your body, unbuttoning your jeans and removing them as he goes. Once your jeans are off, he loops his fingers in the band of your panties and pulls them off. After that, he leans back and just rakes his eyes up and down your body, eating up every inch of your skin. “You’re such a pretty kitty.” His words have you shuddering and blushing. You’d never been called pretty before, and you knew why. You were a little bigger than other girls. You weren’t necessarily insecure about it. You didn’t care all that much about how people saw you with just your looks alone. But you knew Shouta was admiring your body after knowing who you are as a person, and it made you a little giddy.
His mouth and hands were all over you, squeezing and groping, sucking bruises onto your skin. His touches were sending waves of heat through your body, and pooling between your legs. You desperately wanted him to touch you there, and you whined and rolled your hips up into the air. “Such a needy kitty. Be patient. I’m not done here yet.” He rolled a nipple in between his index and thumb, pulling the other into his mouth and teasing it with his tongue. You mewled at the sensation, and he switched his mouth over to the other side.
Your legs were rubbing together, begging for friction, and he finally moved down to your dripping core. He took a finger and slipped it over your folds. He groaned as his finger collected your slick, “You’re so wet kitty. Are you this wet for me?” You nodded your head frantically, and he laid a light smack on your pussy. You let out a soft whimper, “Yes Sir, it’s for you,” you answered quickly. He hummed, “Good girl. I didn’t even need to remind you to use your words.” He kissed the inside of your thigh, and moved to lick a stripe up your folds. You gasped at the new feeling, never having anyone’s mouth down there before.
He slipped the pink muscle into you easily, groaning when he tasted you. The sound sent vibrations through your dripping cunt, making you squirm at the pleasure. He looped his arms around your legs, dipping his fingers into your core and using the slick to rub tight circles onto your clit. An unfamiliar sensation built in the pit of your stomach, your muscles tightening in your abdomen as it got stronger. You knit your eyebrows together, and in between heavy breaths you gasped out, “S-sir...it feels strange.” He raised his eyebrows at the statement, and increased his pace until that coil inside you snapped, which didn’t take very long.
Your back arched off the bed as you let out a loud, sharp moan, your legs shaking from the intensity of your first orgasm. Aizawa kept lapping at your pussy, letting you ride out your high, and once you were relaxed and panting on the bed, he lifted his head and wiped his chin. “Kitty, have you never cum before?” He asked, a small smirk tugging at his lips. You shake your head, “No S-sir...Is that what just happened?” He chuckled, but didn’t answer the question, “You’re going to have fun tonight kitty.” You didn’t have time to question what he meant, though, because he slipped a thick finger into your core, and you mewled as your walls clenched down on him.
The game he played went on for what felt like hours, and you lost count of how many times he’s made you cum. He’d fucked you and cum multiple times himself. You’d already squirted several times, and tears were streaming down your face from the overstimulation. It felt so good, but it was starting to melt your brain and the title of ‘Sir’ drifted to ‘Daddy’ as it went on. All the muscles in your body were burning from flexing so hard, and your wrists were feeling raw from how hard you’d been tugging at your restraints. It felt so, so good...but it was too much. He leaned down close to your face and kissed at the tears, “You’re doing so well babygirl. You got one more for me?”
You giggled lightly at the praise, your mind fuzzy, unable to form coherent thoughts as he thrust his hips into you. He stilled his movements and caressed your jaw. “How are you feeling, kitten?” Your eyes looked up into his, struggling to stay open. You giggled a little as you answered. “It’s… I f-feel…” You knit your eyebrows together in concentration, searching your brain. “R-roses?”
Everything stopped, and he instantly reached up and tugged off your restraints, and pulled your exhausted body close to his chest. Your breathing got heavier, and your chest got tight, and fresh tears fell down your cheeks. He held you tight, kissing your tears and petting your hair as your cries died down. He held you like that until your breathing was normal again. You slowly opened your eyes, weakly calling out to him, “Daddy?” He kissed your forehead, “I’m right here kitten. Tell me what you need.” You nuzzled your head into his neck and mumbled, “Water. Can I have water?” He wrapped you in a soft blanket and stood up, carrying you with him. “Anything for my kitten.”
He set you on the counter and made a glass of iced water, holding it up to your lips. As you sipped, he rubbed your back and kissed your forehead and neck, and he didn’t stop or move until you had drained the cup. He left it in the sink and picked you up again, taking you to the bathroom and filling the tub with warm water. He turned off the tap, took off your blanket, and carried you into the tub. He washed the both of you, massaging your scalp, and you let out a sound like a pur, which he smiled at.
When he was done, he stood you up and wrapped you in a fluffy towel, dried himself with one, and carried you back to bed. You curled into him, and he wrapped his arms around you. “Are you okay (y/n)?” You nodded into his chest, “Yeah, I’m okay. It was just intense.” You could hear the smile in his voice as he spoke, “Thank you for using the safeword. You did so well for me kitten, trusting me like that.” You nuzzled into his chest some more, relishing in the heat his body gave.
You loved the praise he gave you. It made you feel warm and fuzzy in your belly, and it felt so good. Soon you were drifting into a deep sleep, comfortable in Shouta’s arms. This was nice. You’d be happy to let him guide you, let him take care of you like this. One thought drifted through your head as you drifted.
‘Guys my age could never.’

Peter Maximoff x Reader Masterlist
—————————
You were groggy, legs stiff as you’d finally made it out of that plane. Honestly, when this was all said and done you’d be happy to not travel again for a very long time.
But the important thing was that you were home. Well, sort of. You were getting a lot closer anyway. McGuire air force base in New Jersey was bustling with activity as you’d all been shuffled around after landing.
Moira had said goodbye, staying here to work some more as it seemed this had become a temporary east coast operations point for more than just the air force. But she’d arranged it so you all could take a van off base together to find the nearest rental car lot.
Which that was when you really started feeling this was your last chance to inwardly practice whatever your speech was going to be to Xavier. You were going to volunteer to drive Peter home, splitting off from the others when they’d no doubt be heading north for New York.
The van hadn’t been the most comfortable thing in the world either as you’d all piled into it with Hank driving. Moira had told the Professor to just leave it after you all got something else rented, and that someone from the base would come and get it later.
Besides a little shared complaining from the group about being continually shoved into one thing after another lately, helicopters, to jets, to aircraft carriers, and now this, there wasn’t really too much said though. That silence likely somewhat due to jet lag as well. But when Xavier had signaled to Hank to stop after seeing a bank you were about to pass, that’s when Peter seemed to perk back up.
And by the time this older van had clunked its way into the parking lot and come to a stop, Peter was on the verge of fully laughing.
“What?” Ororo finally asked, Peter sitting between her and you both here in the back of the van.
“Nothing.” Peter respond just as quickly, though still seeming far too entertained as Raven had helped Xavier out of the van and back into his wheelchair before the two of them had gone inside the bank together.
You and Ororo just exchanged an odd glance, before Jean revealed the answer all too easily. “Peter thinks we’d make a terrible cast for a heist movie. He’s thinking about robbing the bank and imagining a poorly executed role for all of us.”
“Hey!” Peter complained. “You really don’t play fair. I think about a lot of things without actually do-”
“Seriously?” Scott asked, looking back at you all.
“Oh, come on. One eye beam and the vault would crack like an egg.” Peter retorted, “Do you guys not ever daydream?”
“About crime?” You questioned.
“I did give the kid his markers back didn’t I?” Peter asked.
“What kid?” Hank looked back as well.
“Oh, except this one.” Peter pulled out the dark blue marker that’d still been stashed in his pocket. “The kid still had a light blue one anyway. He’ll live. You guys need to sign my cast!”
—————————
The Professor had apparently recognized that bank as one he had some accounts with, and you’d assumed he had gone in to withdraw some spending money for the remainder of the trip.
But when Hank drove you all to a nearby department store next instead of continuing on straight to the rental car lot that had been the supposed goal the entire time, you were surprised. Even more so when the Professor had called for you, Jean, Kurt, and Ororo specifically.
“I know this isn’t much,” Charles explained, before passing each of the four of you a small amount of cash. “But the staff staying with the displaced students at the motel did already take them shopping for at least some bare necessities. You deserve the same until we can provide better.”
It was still entirely generous and unexpected though as you’d all exited the van, then fully understanding the point of this additional pit stop. With the destruction of the mansion, and with Ororo not even being from here, the four of you now had not a single possession to your names except the Air Force issued clothing you’d left the aircraft carrier with.
Scott and Peter were a little bit different story, Scott was expected to go back home with his parents for a while and no doubt everything he still had there, and Peter having lost nothing really except the one outfit that had burnt up in the jet’s crash in Egypt.
But you knew a little better of how he felt about that, not missing the way Peter was already eyeing things as the two of you had split off from the rest of the group once entering the department store.
Your only real goal was at least getting a comfortable pair of tennis shoes to replace the awful boots they’d given you and a couple pairs of jeans, some t-shirts, socks, and underwear. Just the very minimum, that was fine for you.
You tried to be quick, knowing it was still a little unfair to make Peter just watch you shop when he could take nothing for himself. Albeit, you doubted much here was really his style anyway.
You did half expect him to give you a harder time as well on your own choices, but found him quite distracted as you’d walked back and forth looking at one rack then another of clothes.
Finally you realized why, catching him still lingering at a glass display case you’d already passed more than once as you then circled back to him with a bit of clothing in your arms.
As you came up to stand beside him, you looked down to see the multiple men’s watches all glinting up in the light from beneath the glass.
You smiled, putting two and two together easily enough as you glanced back to him and that clearly longing expression on his face. “Which one do you like?”
He blinked, just seeming to realize your attention was back on him then as he tried to look nonchalant. “Nah, it’s okay. I’m not going to steal it if that’s what you’re thinking.”
“That wasn’t what I was thinking.”
“It’s what Mr. Smiley over there, the store detective was thinking.” Peter commented a little more quietly, just motioning his eyes to a man standing off to the side.
The man didn’t look “smiley” at all of course, appearing to consider the same display of pants over and over as he’d pick one size up and then put it back down as if he wasn’t watching you both.
You chose to ignore the stranger, just reiterating back to Peter instead. “Come on, which one do you want?”
You could see by the tags that they weren’t exactly cheap, but certainly weren’t Rolex’s either. This was doable.
But Peter only met eyes with you again. “Seriously, I can get one later. I’ll live.”
His old watch had been destroyed. And you hadn’t forgotten what importance it had to him. “That wasn’t the point.” Already deciding you were sure about this, you dug back into your pocket, pulling out money and putting it on the glass in front him.
“I’m going to go put some of these clothes back, get somebody’s attention to come open the case for you.”
He stared, trying to turn around to stop you, but you were already out of his reach as you smiled, just disappearing back behind some nearby clothing racks.
You intentionally took longer than necessary as well as you did put back enough of the clothes to make up for the money you’d given him. You wanted to make sure he really did follow through with having them get one of the watches out before you’d come anywhere near again.
It took a while, but he must have finally relented, unable to resist the temptation, and reinforcing your thought that he really had seen one he especially wanted as you’d finally wandered over once more just as the saleswoman had been handing it over to him.
She rang it up then and there at the counter as he’d immediately put it on that empty spot on his left wrist.
Curious, you’d tried to get a better look at which one he’d picked, moving closer before he suddenly swung his right arm out, catching you around the shoulders and pulling you even closer even with the awkwardness of his crutch still under that arm.
You felt a warm kiss planted just as fast on your cheek before you could respond. The saleswoman giving you both an odd look as Peter only grinned to you. “Thanks, babe. I’ll make it up to you at some point. Promise.”
You moved slightly, not really caring about the money or the stares of any of the store staff as you still tried to get a look at the watch, grabbing his hand. “Well which one did you get?”
He let you take his hand easily, grasping his fingers around your own in return as he tilted his wrist to let you get a good view. “Check it out, digital face, but it counts seconds and hundredths of a second. And you can change it to stopwatch mode too. Also water resistant to 100 meters...though not quite sure when I’d need that.”
“Jean said the motel the others were staying at has a pool,” You commented lightly, though still looking at the bright, silver colored metal watch band and face. “Quicksilver.” You added absently, reading the model name also etched there.
He paused, “What did you say?”
“Oh, the pool? Jean said the Professor mentioned that, though he still is looking for some place less rundown-”
“No, what you said after.”
“Huh?” You glanced back up.
“Quick what?”
“Oh.” You realized, turning your hand which was still holding his so the etching would better face him as well. “That must be the model.”
He must have not even noticed until that point, also reading it then. But he pulled you in even a little closer then as he leaned his head against yours, seeming to contemplate something.
“What?” You asked.
“I think I just had a...hell, what do you call them? Epitaph?”
Your eyebrows raised, looking at him in real confusion then. “Um...like on a gravestone?”
“No, no.” He was still trying to find the word. “Dammit, when the light bulb goes off you know...like something hits you and it’s awesome!”
“Epiphany?” You questioned after another moment, though still highly unsure of where this was going.
“Yes! Totally!” He let go of your hand then, before giving an awkward high five as you hadn’t been expecting it.
But you were still thoroughly confused, even as the saleswoman had now excused herself, gladly wandering off to assist other customers. And even the store detective just coughed somewhere in the distance, finding you both no longer a theft threat as much as just just two more weird young people he was not going to ever understand.
——————————
If anyone noticed that the amount of things you rang up were visibly less than what Jean, Ororo, and Kurt had gotten, no one said anything.
Soon enough you were all back in the van again, but Peter kept admiring the watch still. The odd beep and chime going off on it every now and then as he played with its functions.
It was evident enough, that even the Professor finally looked back at him. Which Peter noticed as well just grinning. “I didn’t steal it.” He proclaimed proudly.
“I know you didn’t,” Xavier answered, but then giving you an odd look next.
You tried to smile back, but weren’t sure if this might now be the time to bring up your plan or not with the Professor’s attention on you. Yet before you could think to say anything more, Peter just added happily. “Oh, and Prof., if you do reboot the X-Men, I’m Quicksilver. So I call dibs on that, the rest of you will have to think of your own stuff. Though I’m pretty creative, I can help for maybe a small fee if you need inspiration.”
“Seriously?” You answered, just turning your head to look at Peter then.
But you were even more surprised when Xavier actually looked impressed for a moment. “Quicksilver? Hmm. An old nickname for liquid mercury. Which of course in the Roman pantheon, Mercury was also the god of trickery, thieves, and often depicted with wings on his feet as the fastest of the gods. He-”
“Uh.” Peter interrupted. “I was more thinking that my hair is silver and I’m quick. Also this badass watch (Y/N) bought me says that on it. But that god stuff is cool too I guess.”
You heard Raven about snort laughing as the Professor’s thoughtful expression quickly faded. “Fair enough.”
—————————
By the time you did reach the rental car lot, you tried to get Xavier’s attention before he could go inside the rental office with Raven. You almost jogged up to him actually, that worried about missing your chance.
Yet as you reached him, you saw him wave Raven off, telling her he would be just a moment. She only shrugged, walking ahead inside.
Before you could even open your mouth though, he just gave you another curious look. “You know, for all your worrying about this, it’s the ride home that I’m more concerned about. You realize from Washington D.C. back to New York, that’s going to be about a five hour drive all on your own.”
You don’t know why you felt any surprise. Honestly it was more of a relief though that you didn’t have to explain everything from scratch. Having a psychic as a father figure had its benefits at times, if otherwise you felt you would have difficulty communicating something.
“I promise I’ll call as soon as I get to Peter’s and again when I leave?” You offered with hope.
“I’d really feel better if you had one of the others to ride back with...” He countered, but giving a sympathetic look. “You know, of all my students, I just...you really are one of the last I’d expect to befriend him this way. And I say that with me actually being quite fond of him. Though admittedly I did think him just a pain in the arse when I first met him. I didn’t have my powers then though to see any deeper. So it wasn’t the best first impression to be honest.”
You both glanced over at Peter who now seemed preoccupied with playing with those stolen sunglasses as he just chatted with the others. He’d agreed to let you plea the case to Xavier on your own, thinking you could probably be the more sincere and convincing of the two of you.
“I think he’d really like to come to the school once everything’s rebuilt,” You added, looking back to the Professor.
“Yes, I know.” Xavier agreed. “He’s really hit it off with you all. He’s enjoyed this despite everything else. It’s nice to see, really. Though...I do still worry about the inevitably of his father returning. There will still be a lot to unpack there. And Erik may not want him at the school as much as Erik’s always disagreed with some of my worldviews.”
You frowned a little, having not thought about Magneto in quite a while now. “If he cares about Peter at all though, you’d think he’d realize it’d be better for him to be somewhere he had friends. Where he’s happy...”
“One would hope.” Xavier answered, but then looking to you once more. “You’re sure about this aren’t you? Determined to make the drive back alone?”
“I mean, if anyone tried to give me trouble, I could always use my powers.” Yet you still smirked, parroting his teaching you’d heard for years. “But still as discreetly as possible of course.”
He took a breath, that concern still not leaving his expression even as he relented. “You have come a long way since that little child I met all those years ago.”
“I wasn’t that little.” You smiled, knowing full well which day he was remembering. When you’d been sitting, feeling abandoned in that airport as your real father had been explaining again this place you were being sent to in New York. Saying he’d call you all the time once you got there, all the while you knew he never would.
That’d been the first day you’d ever met Charles. When your own family was too afraid of you, when they were far happier to have you move across the country. But Xavier had flown all the way there just to share the plane ride back to New York, with your stubborn, silent self.
Abruptly you leaned down, putting your arms around the Professor’s shoulders as you hugged him. “I’m really glad you’re okay,” You said, knowing full well how close you all had come to losing him only a few days ago.
He laughed lightly, but returned the gesture even though he was a little surprised. “Or you’re just happy to get your way. Do be careful alright? Both of you.”
“I promise. Thank you.” You smiled, really meaning it before you let go of him to stand back up.
As you did so, you could see Peter looking your way. He gave a questioning expression, then turning his thumb down then up as if to ask the results.
You smirked, nodding as him thumb went up to confirm the Professor had agreed with your plan.
“Sweet!” You heard Peter exclaim from all the way over there.
————————
Xavier had given you the phone number to the motel in New York that the others were driving to. They’d gotten another van, though thankfully a little newer than the beaten up government one they were now leaving behind.
A car had been rented for you and Peter. A blazing red thing you now leaned against as you waited for him. You’d already said your goodbyes, which were pretty brief as you expected to see the others again soon.
You were still close enough to overhear as Peter got to Scott however. It caught your attention as you’d heard Peter’s tone change.
“Hey, man...I wanted to say I’m sorry. I’m sorry I couldn’t get your brother out.”
It was the first time you’d heard Peter talk about that specifically with Scott. But when would have been the right time?
Yet Peter kept on pretty quickly, the awkwardness obviously still there even with that hint of guilt. “If um, if I lived closer you know, or I wasn’t in this damn thing-” He’d motioned to his cast. “I’d run up there and go to the service too. I mean, I know how important siblings are...”
Scott seemed a little taken aback himself, but shook his head. “Don’t be sorry. None of it would have happened if it wasn’t for that psycho god, whatever we want to call him. And he got his. It’s all we can do.”
You could hear the little bit of waver in Scott’s voice though, and you knew the sad reality would likely be that it still wouldn’t fully hit him that Alex was truly gone until Scott was back home with his parents, and his brother was glaringly absent.
But Peter just patted him on the shoulder before walking back to you on his crutches.
His eyes were still a bit sad, but he smiled at you as he neared you. “Well, ready for a roadtrip, babe?”
“They gave us a road atlas, so I think so.” You answered, already walking to open the passenger door for him.
“Ah, maps are for suckers.” He answered, handing you his crutches so he could sit down in the seat. “Sure, it’ll look way different going so slow, but I have an excellent sense of direction.”
“Uh huh,” You responded with a healthy bit of skepticism. “We’ll see.”
—————————
“So...we’re finally alone.” Peter said, still snacking on whatever brightly colored candy that actually was that you’d grabbed from the gas station for him.
“Sure, and going seventy miles an hour on the interstate, while I need to keep my hands on the wheel and eyes on the road to not kill us, yes.” You answered.
“It’s practically a straight line, it about drives itself.” He responded, but while just fiddling with the radio for the umpteenth time.
Every time a station went to commercial, it was clear he couldn’t handle the wait for the music to come back, only trying to find something else to listen to right away.
You finally laughed a little as he’d accidentally found some other talk show yet again.
“What?”
“I’m waiting for that dial to fall off in your hand.”
“Man, you think one of these gas stations has some cassettes or something?”
“I have no idea.”
“Hey, are you hungry yet?”
You shrugged. “I could probably eat.” The bit of food on the plane had been pretty awful. You hadn’t even finished it.
“I need to pee anyway.”
“Again?” You glanced at him. “That’s gotta be the Mountain Dew.”
“Oh yeah, that’s all gone.” He shook his empty cup, just the sound of ice jostling around in it. “I’m thinking Dr. Pepper now...and a cheeseburger. Maybe McDonalds?”
“Sure.” It really didn’t matter to you. All those fast food places were all about the same. “Golden Arches it is then...let me know if you see an exit with one and I’ll-”
“There was one.” He pointed as it went right by.
“Um...one with a little more notice please.”
“Got it. I’m on watch, captain.” He gave a little mocking salute, before pulling his sunglasses back down as if that would somehow help his focus as he stared out to all the upcoming exit signs ahead.
——————————
He was adamant about going inside to eat instead of just going through the drive thru once you did find the next McDonalds. You wondered if he was trying to stretch out your time together a little more.
Which you would have no complaints if so, now laughing as you sat at a table inside. You’d seen the odd looks an older couple had given you as they’d come in, and Peter was fairly certain it was due to his silver hair.
“I mean I could always try a mohawk, full on punk if they think this is too weird,” He commented, pulling some of the silver bangs back in front his face as he chewed on some fries. “I still think Ororo’s is badass, but I don’t know if I have the right head shape for it. What do you think?”
“What head shape is a person supposed to have?” You asked, seriously not knowing, but still smiling.
“Of course even the best hair gel doesn’t hold up too well when I run. It probably wouldn’t stay up long.”
“Uh huh.”
“Hey, are you even listening to me or just admiring the view?” He grinned in what you were sure was supposed to be his attempt at a dashing look, albeit with a little bit of ketchup still at the corner of his mouth.
“Can’t I do both?” You answered wryly, just taking another sip of your drink.
“You gonna stay for a little bit after we get to my house?” He asked abruptly then.
“Well I wasn’t planning on just throwing you in the yard and driving away. But it is a decent drive back to New York.”
“You could spend the night.”
You quieted, that warmth rising back in your chest. But you didn’t think he meant it that way. You chose to believe that anyway.
“Well it’s not like we haven’t slept together before.” He continued.
“Slept in the same bed.” You quickly corrected. “In the same bed. With clothes on.”
He raised his eyebrows. “Semantics. And it was nice, right?”
“It was.” You admitted. But that didn’t mean the chance was going to come again anytime soon. “And semantics? Really? After trying to remember the difference between epitaph and epiphany?”
“Hey! I shine every now and then. It’s not always a swing and a miss.” He gave a pretend pouting look. “Fancy private schooler picking on a poor high school dropout, come on.”
“Well, it’s not like I’ll have much reason to study anytime soon.” You admitted. “This was a really dramatic way to get out of my organic chemistry final.”
And he really did look pleased at that. “So you’ll have plenty of time to hang out with the bad influence that is Pietro once I get this cast off. You said that place had a pool right? Sounds like a party.”
—————————
Traffic hadn’t been too terrible the rest of the way. And you’d only gotten turned around a couple times, despite his self proclaimed excellent sense of direction.
Even though you knew it’d been hours, it didn’t feel that way at all. You both mostly just talking about whatever, or even when it was quiet, just listening to the music he chose.
It wasn’t all even rock music to your surprise. He seemed to like just about everything. But when you recognized a song as a favorite of your own, you did notice how his excitement grew a little. You wondered how often if at all he’d really gotten to share that love of music with anyone else.
By the time you’d gotten off the interstate again and the roads started to get smaller and smaller, you knew you must be getting close even before you started to see houses here and there.
“Hey, woah up for a second,” He said raising his hand abruptly.
You did so, but only gently pulling to a stop on the side of the street to not block any other traffic as you looked over at him.
Not that there were any other cars. You thought maybe you saw someone walking their dogs in the distance.
But he didn’t say anything for a moment, just taking his sunglasses off again as he turned his head to meet your gaze.
“What?” You asked as another song started on the radio. It was slow, but you thought you’d heard it somewhere before.
“It’s just around the corner.” He looked almost sad for a moment though, before suddenly smiling again. “My house I mean. You’re going to come inside, right?”
“Well...yeah, as long as that’s okay with your Mom anyway.” But even as you answered, a new bit of nervousness found you. What if she blamed you when she saw he’d been hurt though? Would she think you or your friends were dangerous? You’d never thought of that until this moment actually.
You blinked when you felt his hand touch your face, drawn back out of your thoughts as that song continued on in the background.
“Can I kiss you?” He asked then.
But you just tilted your head slightly in question. It’s not like he’d ever truly asked before. Though you could never really tease someone for wanting continued permission.
And was he nervous too? Knowing he was about to be home again and that this would be over, at least for the time being?
You unbuckled your seatbelt easily enough, leaning across the center console as he did the same.
The kiss was soft though as you closed your eyes. His hand moved gently behind your neck as he held you in close. It felt just as good as the times before.
But you knew there wasn’t much more either of you could do now. You both had to go home.
He was the one that finally pulled back, just looking at you contentedly for a moment before he shifted fully back into his seat.
“You know, my Mom’s going to think I’m full of shit if I say I made any friends...and more than a friend too.”
“You can call me whatever you want, whatever you’re comfortable with,” you said honestly. It’d just be easier, because you didn’t know what was right or wrong either.
Whatever happened, you were just grateful for what you’d already had. How could you not be?
—————————
The black mailbox with Maximoff lettered on the side came up soon enough as you pulled carefully into the driveway, before throwing the transmission into park and killing the ignition.
It was a neat little house, with hedges on the side of the property line and some white patio furniture you could just see up a small incline with decorative stones leading up to it.
The house was also directly across from a public green space with jogging or walking paths weaving between several trees it looked like. Which was a little amusing as you wondered if Peter ever used them.
After you’d gotten out, you rounded around the back of the car, pulling Peter’s crutches from the backseat. He’d already opened the passenger door and stood up as well, before you realized the front door of the house was also opening.
“Peter!” You heard a woman call, and you looked up to see a little bit older woman with dark blond hair now rushing down the steps.
Her arms flung around him as soon as she got close enough, holding him like that for only a moment before she pulled back away. “They wouldn’t tell me anything! Those assholes in the suits, whoever they were! They wouldn’t even tell me where you were-” She looked down, “God, your leg, are you hurt anywhere else?” But then just as quickly her eyes were on his face again, critically, “He did it, didn’t he? I told you! I told you he would hurt you and you don’t listen, this whole time I haven’t slept, do you know that!?”
“Mom!” Peter finally exclaimed, trying to get a word in, as he grabbed her shoulders. “They were CIA, I just told them to tell you I was okay. It hasn’t exactly been a breeze getting back home, this was the best I could do. And it wasn’t Dad, he didn’t-”
“Like hell! Did you see San Francisco? Did you see New York City!? Buildings ripped apart, Peter! Who else could do that!? It’s all the news can talk about, he-”
“It wasn’t just him! Would you just listen for-”
“You could have been killed!” She yelled, her voice almost echoing now off the side of the house as you just stood there still holding his crutches.
You felt entirely invisible to be honest as the two of them just continued, only focused on one another in their arguing.
It was so loud actually that you didn’t even hear someone else then walking up behind you from the park across the street. You didn’t know they were there at all before their voice was almost right beside you.
“Who are you?”
You startled at the question, turning your head to see a young woman now standing there. Her eyes were dark and guarded, the very first thing you noticed honestly as you reflexively took a step back closer to the car.
“Wanda! You’re here!” You heard Peter’s voice rise again though. “A little help here please!”
But Peter’s mother only kept on. “You leave your sister out of this! She’s not the one that ran off after a sociopath and disappeared for days!”
“He’s our father!” He yelled back.
Yet the girl with the long auburn hair kept her attention on you for another moment. “Well whoever you are, you’re probably going to regret coming here.”
You could only remain silent though after that as she just walked on to her mother and brother.
She hugged Peter abruptly, working her way between the two even in their fighting. “I knew you were alright. I could still feel you, even though Mom didn’t believe me. But that doesn’t mean you aren’t an idiot.”
Peter seemed to calm some at Wanda’s touch though, just responding. “You have no idea. I punched a god in the face. It’s a long story.”

In dusty pink silk (NSFW ish)
Pairing: Billie Dean Howard x Fem!Reader
Word Count: 6469
Warnings: NSFW, 18+, mild language, bondage, dirty talk.
A/n: MEKENZIE!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY!! So originally I was going to gift you a different Billie fic I’m working on, which more aptly fits your request of the reader being ‘abolutely railed by Miss Howard’, but this one is more unique so that’s why this one’s for your birthday :))
Originally this was going to be a lot more nsfw than it actually turned out to be. Also it was going to be around 2k, but i mean, whoops :)
Tumblr media
Billie had decided to treat you for your birthday, surprising you with a fancy car which pulled up to your house an hour after she’d texted you from her work demanding you dress yourself up for her, you could practically see her deep set smirk and playful quip of her brow when you read it. She’d been apologetic that morning, about having to work on your special day, promising to get off early and make it up to you between sleepy kisses and wandering hands.
You were happy enough to busy yourself while she was gone, treating yourself to a trip into town and a browse of yours and Billie’s favourite lingerie shops, wanting to surprise her that night. It was inevitable with Billie Dean that somewhere in her making up to you, you would end up stripped bare and clutching at the satin sheets of your bed while she nipped and sucked at delicate flesh.
The medium spoiled you dearly, peppering you with gifts and trips, loving to see you in clothes she’d bought you, or rather, liking much more to slowly peel them off you and be a massive tease about it. That was Billie all over. While dressing that night, you decided to play her game. It was your birthday after all, you deserved to have a little fun with your girlfriend, especially after she’d left you alone for the whole day.
The car had pulled up to your favourite restaurant and a suited man had taken your hand to guide you in; another thing that Billie liked, she loved to show you off and make a big thing about your dates. You secretly loved it, loved her possessiveness and that she’d make a big deal of anything that she’d be seen publicly doing with you. Be it a date or shopping or a red carpet event, Billie was sure to dress you up and spare no expense in making sure you enjoyed yourself.
The gentle music and low lighting in the restaurant was a soothing familiarity as you looked for your girlfriend at the tables. She spotted you and rose out of her seat, placing her glass back down before waiting for you to join her, arms extended towards you in an invitation to step into them. Billie wore her delicate dusty pink silk blouse that she knew was your favourite, with flowing black pants and her signature pearls. It was a staple Billie Dean Howard look, which never failed to make you stop still in stunned silence at her effortless grace.
She greeted you with a chaste kiss before holding your waist at arms length so she could scan your outfit, nodding in approval, eyes softening as she pulled you in for another kiss. You’d worn the navy dress that Billie had bought you back from a trip to New York last year you both loved. It had long laced sleeves and slightly layered skirt that would pick up in the wind, or when Billie would ask you to twirl for her whenever you wore it.
“You look gorgeous, darling.” She praised, cupping your jaw gently with her acrylic nails, thumb brushing over your cheek fondly as you blushed with her words. “Happy birthday.” You returned her compliments, pulling her into the booth behind you and settling yourself against the wall behind your back.
You sat next to each other in a cosy booth, facing the rest of the restaurant, like you always did when you came here, wanting to be closer than sitting opposite allowed. You both sat slightly twisted on the cushioned bench, angled towards the other so talking and being able to watch each other was easy, even sat like this.
Once you’d both ordered, you fell into comfortable conversation about your individual days, you telling Billie about being recognised in town, and her about where she’d been working. It had been the lost soul of a child she’d explained; too complicated of a case to be simply wrapped up in a single day.
The food arrived promptly, under silver platters that made you glance at Billie, amused at her theatrics; she’d clearly been planning this for a while. The waiter revealed your favourite dish before commenting about enjoying the food before he departed with a quick thanks from you both. Pecking Billie on the cheek, you lifted your glass up and motioned for her to do the same.
“Thank you for this, Billie, it’s perfect.” You chimed your glasses together and sipped at them, eyeing each other over the delicate rims. She smiled affectionately, nails drumming on the glass as she watched you eat.
“Well you deserve perfection, my gorgeous girl, nothing less. But don’t think that this is all I have planned for you tonight,” she quipped casually. Raising her brow, her tongue poked at the inside of her cheek as her lip curled into a smug grin as you coughed into your food, attempting to hide your flushed cheeks and wide eyes.
You weren’t going to let Billie get the upper hand, you knew she’d run with it if you let her, teasing you till you begged. You weren’t going to beg tonight, you’d decided. Clearing your throat and subtly glancing across the room to make sure the coast was clear, you turned towards your girlfriend, face excited as you spoke to drive her off your mischievous scent.
“Speaking of surprises, give me your hand. Close your eyes.”
“What are you-” she began to question, leaning back to try to see past your palm that was blocking her vision to what you were doing. You pouted at her protests, batting your eyelashes and looking up at her through them with the most innocent face you could muster before cracking into a smile and a laugh.
“Please Billie, for me?”
She huffed, shifting in her seat as she held out her open palms towards you and closed her eyes. You discreetly dipped your hand into your purse and removed the silk underwear that you had purposefully neglected to put on before leaving, before balling it up and placing it into Billie’s waiting palms. You closed her hands back around the panties before sitting back against the wall and finishing your drink quickly.
“You can open them.”
You’d made sure that her hands were hidden under the table so that no one would see when she opened her hands, but unfortunately for Billie, she brought them back above the table and uncurled them slowly. The sound that left her throat made you laugh behind your hands, a strangled yelp as she moved her hands back under the table as fast as she could upon seeing what was clasped in them.
You were the one smirking now, Billies cheeks flushed as she opened and closed her mouth, flustered at the dusty pink silk panties in her lap that she’d just presented to the restaurant. Running her fingers over the smooth material, laying them flat out on her lap while you watched, nonchalantly eating a forkful of your meal. Realisation finally hit her, eyes widening as she quickly bunched them back up and slipped them into her pocket, safe and out of sight.
“Are you-” Billie let out a low groan, eyes darting up to watch as a waiter approached the table. “Are you not wearing any-”
“Why don’t you touch me and find out?” You interrupted suggestively, voice low as you nodded, smiling to the waiter who was filling up your wine glass, keeping your face straight and unaffected. Normally Billie was the one who initiated and revelled in any sort of fooling around in public, you’d just decided to spur her on a bit tonight.
Her trembling hand found your knee, nails scratching at your skin in an attempt to gain back any type of control over the situation. To her surprise, you let your legs fall open immediately, a silent invitation. Usually she would have to coax them apart while you tried to remain calm and unaffected by her touch but not tonight. You knew that Billie had made it harder for herself tonight, ensuring that the wait staff never let your glass go unfilled and always be on watch for something you may need. This meant that you could steadily drain your glasses and make sure Billie never had the privacy she wanted while she had her hand up your dress.
Laughing politely at something a waitress was saying, you let your hand find Billies, guiding her fingers to slip under the fabric of your dress, slowly up the inside of the thigh; the whole time keeping up your conversation with the woman stood at the table. You could feel Billie’s eyes on the side of your face, narrowed and predatory, knowing that she couldn’t quite believe your boldness at the stunt you were pulling.
At the very first brush of her fingertips against your bare centre, Billie had pulled her hand back, face red as she continued to eat. You could see a thin sheen of sweat above her brow that glistened under the low glow of the booth, signalling that she was fully turned on but trying to mask it.
The rest of the meal was rushed, per Billie’s hushed and frantic request for you to hurry up so you could both leave. Paying compliments to the chef, you requested that he call a taxi for the pair of you but billie was already dragging you outside.
In the cool nights air, Billie was already pressing a cigarette between her lips, catching it tightly in her teeth and letting the whisps of her breath curl up between it as she exhaled. The flint of the lighter sparked harshly in the dark, the flame dancing in the breeze and you brought you hands silently to cup the end of the cigarette so she could light it. The whole exchange was silent, knowing what the other needed without needing to ask, it was simply why you and Billie worked.
“God you’re so hot like that,” she husked, dragging at the lit cigarette deeply and leaning back against brick. She let her head fall against the wall, eyes closed in thought before she quickly opened them and stared at you where you stood, fingers tugging at your sleeves to pull them over cold hands.
“I can’t wait to get you home and ruin you.” She spoke candidly, as if voicing a fleeting thought, before returning her head to rest against the wall and breathing out a trail of smoke which dissipated quickly as the furls raced each other like children into the sky.
You shuffled towards her, leaning your head on her shoulder and humming in agreement to her statement, you loved it when Billie got in a state in public, because she’d just continue to build and build and it would explode in throngs of excited dominance when you finally got back into some sort of privacy.
Pulling the panties back out of her pocket, she held them up under the lamp light, offering you her cigarette so she could use both hands to admire your new underwear. Her low moan rippled over the general hum of the city life, nailed fingers reaching to pull you close by your ass, a squeaked protest from your lips at her roughness.
“Are these new? You know how much I love you in this colour.”
At that moment the taxi rolled around the corner, bumping over the curve onto the sidewalk as you pulled away from your girlfriends touch. She took a final drag before putting the cigarette out against the brick and joining you in the back of the car, slurring her address slightly to the driver so you had to repeat it when he looked slightly confused.
Billie could barely keep her hands to herself in the back of the taxi, nipping and sucking at the exposed skin on your neck, wet vulgar sounds slipping from her mouth until you shushed her. You tried to protest, but she’d found your pulse point and began feverishly sucking a blooming bruise into your skin.
“Billie, babe. Just mhmm, 5 minutes, we’re nearly back.” Her hand kept finding its way back to your thigh, fingers brushing under material and forcing you to push her back. You noticed how the taxi drivers eyes kept darting to you both in the mirror, and you shot him a disgusted glare back when he met your eye as if to tell him to mind his own business.
***
The door lock clicked loudly when Billie kicked it closed behind her so she could frantically push you against the closest wall, mouth hot against your own and tongue pushed between teeth. You both moved further into the house, never breaking contact and stumbling over each others feet in your haste.
At one point, when the she was clawing at your dress as if trying to remove it, you’d collided with the corridor dresser and the jolt had sent a small ornament sprawling onto the floor with a clatter. The sound had made you both stop still and glance at the mess momentarily. It had only taken a single glance again at each other for you to erupts in peals of laughter as Billie went back to your neck, her kisses only interrupted by gasps of laughter. Against another wall, you felt Billie slip her thigh in between yours, instinctively grinding down on it in the haze of your arousal. She angled her leg upwards more, making you whimper helplessly against her lips, your hands on the wall and a nearby doorframe for support as your knees weakened under her expert touch.
You could feel your arousal sticky against your inner thigh as her leg moved within yours, and you could smell yourself in the air. Billie clearly noticed this too, pausing to smirk and make a teasing comment, hand dipping under the skirt of your dress to swipe two fingers up your thigh and pull back the glistening evidence to under your nose.
You’d taken this as an invitation to wrap your lips around them, tongue circling her digits and batting your eyes innocently up at Billie, who groaned, pushing herself down onto your leg. Releasing her fingers with a pop, you leant into another kiss, snaking and dancing your tongue flat against hers and allowing her to taste the sharpness of yourself that lingered. Another of the mediums throaty groans filled the silence, the sound eliciting a burst of heat in your stomach. The sounds Billie made never failed to make you throb with the distracting thrum of your heartbeat.
Billie laced her fingers with yours, pressing and pinning your hands against the wall above you as you dropped your head backwards to expose the tender flesh of your neck to the hunger of the older woman. She nipped below the curve of your jaw, teeth grazing and tongue soothing, inevitable marks that would have to be covered in the morning a stark contrast against the complexion of your flushed skin.
Hoisting you up against wall, hands roaming your butt after she let your hands slide down to her shoulders. She carried you into your bedroom, letting you kiss her while she looked where she stepped.
Hands above your head, Billie pulled your dress up and over, bunched in her hands as you wiggled around. “Quit that, no. Stay still goddamnit.” She frustrated, leaving the dress covering your eyes and dropping to leave trails of peppered kisses over your abdomen. You squealed above her, pulling at the dress until it freed and you were able to fling it hazardously across the room and bring your hands into her hair at your stomach.
Once you were bare before her, Billie gestured that you lie back against the pillows and watch her undress. It was something she enjoyed making you do, knowing that you ached to be the one peeling the clothes from her body, loving that she could deny you that and make you watch her strip painfully slowly.
Tonight she had no patience for the slow torturing display she usually showed, instead pulling her shoes and pants off without even making eye contact with you, not that you would complain.
In her haste, you watched almost in slow motion as Billie’s nails caught in the thin fabric of her blouse, the soft ripping sound and the way the silk catches and tears down the middle from a button hole. You let out a nervous chuckle, as you often did in uncomfortable situations, still giddy from the laughter in the hallway.
Billie mumbled strings of incoherent curse words, getting herself tangled in the fabric as she tried to get out of it, which only served to rip it further, and prompt more swearing. “Fuck, I- oh for fucks sake! I love this top.” Now out of the top, she held it to her mouth and screamed into the fabric. All at once you felt entirely too exposed and sexual while she stood before you having a literal tantrum. Your oversized sleeping T-shirt poked out from under your pillow and you tugged it free, pulling it over your head.
You could sense that the unexpected and sudden demise of that fucking blouse had turned Billie right off, and as much as you wanted to kiss her until she forgot about it and drag her into the bed with you, you couldn’t bring yourself to ignore that ‘kicked puppy’ look that she now had, looking at the top clutched in her hands.
You edged off the bed and came up behind her, hands wrapping around her waist to meet on the flat of her stomach; your lips coming to press at the warm skin of her shoulder. She dropped the blouse with a sigh, swivelling in your embrace to face you as you rocked her comfortingly. You both fell into a slow swaying rhythm, her arms around your neck and chin on the top of your bowed head. She continued to stare at the blouse.
“Come here babe, lets just cuddle and watch a film, eh?” You took her hand again in your own, other easing her eyes away from the top that lay crumpled where she’d dropped it to look at you.
Nodding, Billie let you lead her to the bed, watching you lay against the pillows before you looked to her and she sunk into your arms. Nestling her head into your chest and inhaling your comfortable smell and fingers clutching your stomach, she tucked her hands under herself.
“I’m sorry for killing the mood.” She mumbled against the skin of your still hot chest, trying to lift her head to meet your eyes with her apologetic ones. You shushed her, not wanting to hear her apologies, you knew the sentimentality of that blouse. “Can we just sleep instead?”
You hummed gently in response, “of course we can”, fingers reaching to run your through her knotted hair. You picked up a book with your other hand so you could read while Billie listened to the gentle thrum of your heart. As much as you’d wanted to be intimate sexually with her on your birthday, this was almost better, having her laid against you, allowing the two of you to just be together. This was a different kind of intimacy, one which you never tired of.
“Happy birthday,” Billie breathed sleepily, adjusting herself so so was closer to you, nose pressed into your neck.
When you felt the rise and fall of her chest even out and slow against your stomach, you pressed a lingering kiss to the top of her hair, fingers continuing to brush through her hair and rake lazily up and down her arm.
The last thing you did was reach out with your foot to hook the sheets and bring them up to your hand so you could drape them messily over your entwined bodies, and gently removing Billies rings and necklace, placing them carefully on the nightstand.
***
The next morning Billie had to leave early, called in to deal with the child who was wrecking havoc in the old house she’d been in the day before. Before leaving, she’d picked up her blouse from the floor, holding it up to inspect the damage done the last night.
“Irreplaceable, this blouse.” She’d said, the upset barely hidden in her voice as she poked three fingers through the rip in the front.
“Can’t you just buy another one?” You asked, sympathetic pout on your face at the sight of her with the ruined top which you knew was her favourite.
“I could” she mused, bunching the material up in her fingers and bringing it up to her nose, “but I’ve had this one since before my show picked up. It holds a special place in my heart. I actually wore it in that murder house I told you about.”
You nodded, having been told all the stories about that house from Billie, and the people who inhabited it. She’d offered to take you, introduce you to the ghosts she’d befriended over the years but you’d shaken your head, you didn’t like to get yourself mixed up in the contents of her job.
Billie ruffled your hair slightly, which was still tussled from the activities of the previous night, where you sat in the bed with the sheets drawn up under your chin. She placed the ripped blouse on the chair by the door, before leaving you alone with a parting wave and smile. Hearing the door slam closed below you, you crawled off the bed to pick up the blouse and smell it just as your girlfriend had done minutes earlier.
***
Weeks later, and you were struggling to keep your excitement at bay; you had a surprise for Billie, but wanted to wait for the right time to give it to her. She’d been extremely busy over these past weeks, and the time had never felt right when she was so distracted by work, despite your growing and bubbling anticipation.
That very evening, Billie had come home extremely frustrated, she was quick to snap and her hair was tousled as if she’d been running her hands through it. At the dinner table she’d looked like she was about to cry when she recounted her day and how her producer had been moody and short tempered all day, bringing down your moral and mood as the filming session dragged on.
Her acrylics had tapped anxiously on the table when you’d gone to plate up the food, you presumed that the contents of her bad day meant she was being clingy and just wanted to be close to you. Your predictions were proved correct when you felt a pair of slender arms slip carefully around your waist from behind, and a chin rest in the crook of your neck when you plated up.
Her hand had been on your thigh the whole meal, insistent that she keep contact with you at all time, so you’d snaked your hand into hers and entwined your fingers. It had meant you had to then eat with your non-dominant hand, which was no easy feat; but for the appreciative smile on Billie’s face you ignored the mess you were making.
After eating, Billie mumbled something about going to the bathroom, and in that moment you decided that you would give her her present, to cheer her up, or if nothing else, to distract her from her horrendous day. Pressing a fleeting kiss to her knuckles, you let her traipse away and out of sight. Waiting for the familiar click of the bathroom door, you shovelled down the rest of your food and gathered the plates up and into the sink.
You slipped quietly away from the table in Billies brief absence, quickly changing into something more suitable under your clothes for what you had planned, before retrieving the small wrapped box from atop the wardrobe. You’d had to balance on a chair to reach it, almost loosing your balance in your haste and having to catch yourself on the wall to stop you from falling.
Returning into the kitchen where Billie was back, examining her nails at arms length on the table. She raised her head as you entered, opening her arms and gesturing for you to sit on her lap with a quick pat. Still keeping the gift concealed behind your back, you approached her and perched sideways on her thighs, so that you could see her face when you revealed the box.
You brought the package from behind you, offering it to her on an outstretched palm with an eager smile and bright eyes. With your other hand you pushed the hair that framed Billie’s face behind her ear and secured it with a clip from your own gently, so that you could see how her face softened and beamed at the present.
“Oh sugar, what have you got here?” She sounded genuinely surprised, taking the box from your fingers delicately and smiling at it before the smile suddenly faltered and she turned to you, eyes wide and mouth agape.
“Wait, it’s not our anniversary is it? You know I’m so bad with dates.” She rambled, speaking quickly and you could tell she was gearing up to apologise for her forgetfulness, so you halted her fretting with a quick kiss to her temple. Shaking your head affectionately at her antics,
“Can’t a girl spoil her girlfriend without an ulterior motive?” You spoke, bringing your arms around her neck and hugging yourself into her. Your voice was shrouded in a hilt of arousal, barely masked as you breathed against the skin of her cheek, fingers resting on her shoulders which you playfully squeezed. Billie cocked her brow at you, picking up on your tone and joining in.
“Has been 2 years since I spoke to you at that party?” She teased, nudging her shoulder into yours softly. She was joking of course, although she didn’t doubt that you’d be able to recount the date nonetheless. You always did remember such tiny details that everyone else would overlook, but she loved you for it; how you always baked her cookies or made little keepsakes to commemorate tiny anniversaries.
Her fingers pulled deftly at the ribbon on the box, swiftly freeing it so she could begin to coax the lid slowly from the rest of the box. Under the delicate layer of tissue paper that you’d decided to put in as a last minute detail, Billie found two long dusty pink silk pieces of material, tied into knots leaving wrist sized gaps to show just what their intended use was.
She let out a small initial gasp at the sight of new things for her to use on you in the bedroom, eyes shining and lip pulling up into a smirk. While she ran her fingers over the material, you waited for the penny to drop in her mind, watching her stop in recognition and turn, eyes sparkling to you once again.
“Is this-”
“I know that nothing can replace that blouse, it was your favourite. I wanted to do something so that you could keep it and use it for… umm, other things” a blush swept over your cheeks and you hid yourself in the crook of Billie’s neck.
“Baby,” the medium fawned, softly drawing you out of hiding with a kiss to your hair and a hum of thanks at your thoughtfulness, “I love them.”
“How did- who made them?” Billie questioned, tentatively lifting one out of the box, running the material around one of her wrists as she would put on a watch. You brought your fingers nimbly down to the silk around her wrist, tying it neatly into a bow and watching as she extended her arm as you always saw her do to admire her new nails; this time to let the light of the kitchen lightly catch and shimmer off the material. It looked like the picture of Billie as a child, attending her high schools prom with her then boyfriend, dusty pink corsage hanging off her wrist delicately.
“I called Enzo, you know Enzo… made your dress for your shows premier?” Billie nodded in recollection, she loved his work; she still got compliments on her dress from months ago, ironically, a faded pink flowing gown. “Anyway I asked him if he’d help me make them, and well, he showed me how and, well yeah.” Your voice bubbled off into silence as you took the other tie out of the box, teasingly wrapping it over her shoulders and allowing it to hang as you pulled her into kiss, lips parted in silent invitation.
Billie pulled back from the kiss with one last peck, eyes drawn back to the silk tie on her wrist and smile pulling at the corner of her lips again as she felt flattered and loved with how much thought and effort you’d put into the gift for her.
It was so original, so dirty, so very you of you to have thought to turn her best blouse into a sex toy.
“Thank you, you cutie. They’re perfect.”
Your eyes flicked down from her face to the beautiful curve of her jawline which you brought a hand up to cradle and thumb at slightly, to the swell of her breasts beneath the soft fabric of her dress. It was an action that didn’t go missed by Billie, who leant into you to pull your earlobe teasingly into her teeth.
“What are you thinking in that pretty little head of yours? Are you being dirty baby? Are you thinking about my boobs?” You squirmed in her lap, heat rising in your chest and dropping into your stomach at her words.
“Are you thinking of my fingers inside of you; don’t think I don’t see you staring baby girl.” She husked, licking a stripe up the shell of your ear and finding the dip of your waist in strong fingers, squeezing as if to make a point. You moaned breathily, arching into her touch and trying to catch the breath that she’d stolen from you.
“Do you-” you stopped, biting your lip and blinking at her when her hands dropped to pull at your ass, dragging you further into her and against her thigh as she did.
“Use your words, don’t be embarrassed.” She cooed, voice light and mocking, she loved to tease you about how shy and flustered you’d get when having to tell her what you’d been thinking or what you wanted her to do to you.
Pulling her hand from your butt with yours, you raised the arm that had the silk tied at the wrist until it was positioned between your faces. “Do you want to use them now?” You asked, teeth pulling at your lower lip as you fought the urge to look away in embarrassment at your brash boldness, waiting for her response.
Reaching for her glass, Billie swigged the remainder of the whiskey before slamming the glass back heavily against the table and fisting her hand in your hair, pulling you into a fierce kiss in answer to your question. Her tongue was hot with the taste of the whiskey, infused with the smoke that she usually tasted of when you kissed her, and you whined against her mouth.
“Okay, come on then,” she coaxed, easing you off her lap so that she could stand and grasp you hand with her own, practically pulling you behind her towards the stairs. As you followed, you watched the way she’d glance back to you ever few seconds, catching your eye and flashing you an involuntary grin each time.
You loved the way Billie would hitch up her dress when she ran up the stairs, even though none of her dresses were long enough to be an actual trip hazard. It meant that you could see a slither of the exposed flesh of her thigh as she moved, teasing and inviting you to follow.
The bedroom was warm, cosy when you entered and Bille ran her hands against the smooth material of the bed, slowly and in a way that made you squirm even more. Watching her fingers stroke against the sheets while the other hand undid the top button of her dress made your mouth dry and you lick your lips in anticipation.
As always, you waited for her permission and instruction to take off your clothes and when she did you wasted no time. Almost tripping over your own feet taking your socks off had Billie laughing from where she was stood, where she was currently laying the silk on the foot of the bed ready for her to use.
She approached you, motioning with a single finger to turn around and if you weren’t so in a rush to be naked and squirming beneath her on the bed, you probably would have stared at the way her new nails looked when she slowly circled one finger to tell you to turn. She deftly pulled the zipper of your top down your spine, tapping your shoulder blade to indicate you could continue as she walked towards the mirror on the counter.
Once you’d stripped out of your clothes, leaving you in your pink silk lingerie set which always sent Billie frantic against you, you approached her, coy smile on your face as you watched her finish tying her hair up. You loved it when she’d bunch it up so it wouldn’t get in the way, because it always was so messy and you’d tease her about it endlessly.
“Look at my girl, matching with my new present.” She purred, palms smoothing up your arms and down the side of your ribs, scraping over the silk material of your bra.
Capturing your lips with her own, Billie wrapped the silk around your waist and used it to pull you effortlessly flush against her body, hands falling to your waist. You tangled your fingers in her hair at the nape of her neck, a strangled whine falling from her lips that you were pulling at her hair that she’d only just done.
“Do you want you your hand tied at your front or behind your back, baby girl?” Billie asked innocently, holding the silk ties up between your faces and running the fabric against your lower lip where she’d just bitten with her thumb.
“Behind my back, please” you breathed, pushing your face against hers, nuzzling into that comforting smell of cigarettes and smoke that always lingered on her clothes. She hummed, nodding as she turned you around and you felt her gathering your hands together in one of hers while the other brought the smooth material to bind them together.
“You like being face down, ass up on my bed, hm?” the medium husked as she tied the silk in quick knots, teeth nipping at the shell of your ear as she worked. Her words made your chest swell with colour, the heat dropping straight to your core and making you grind your hips backwards and into hers.
“Ah, ah, ah” she tutted, fingers snaking round to claw at your throat and to hold you at an angle which made touching her impossible, in spite of all your whining. Once satisfied that you wouldn’t try to touch, Billie guided you onto the bed face down with a soft flop, landing a small pat to your ass as if to exaggerate her point. She did this before quickly disappearing out of your line of sight, hands in her hair as she fixed the do that you’d pulled at in your arousal.
The silk was cool against the delicate skin of your wrists as you tested the bounds, finding that they were tight enough to restrain you while you lay relaxed; but with enough effort you could evade them. Smiling slightly, you allowed your cheek to rest on the pillow beneath you to wait for Billie to slowly and teasingly undress while you lay still.
Some nights Billie would tie your wrists tighter, she’d thrill in the way you squirmed against the sheets in protest knowing that you were completely at her mercy. On those nights she enjoyed the chase, enjoyed the sense of full control, and you were more than happy to give her that.
This night however, like many others, Billie loved to fuck you with the knowledge that you could quite easily free yourself if you chose. She loved knowing that it was the deep trust that you both shared that kept you in the silk ties instead of being forced, it was more meaningful and sensual to her. You would allow her to do almost anything, and the loose silk binding your wrists acted as a reminder of that.
“I love you.” You breathed, her hands coming to run up the exposed curve of your spine, goosebumps prickling in their wake as she brought her lips to the nape of your neck.
She hummed, trailing her nails down the skin of your arms so they left puffy pink lines in their wake. The crescent lines of teeth lay marked in your skin from where Billie Dean had sunk her mouth into your shoulder, soothing the heat of the area with a blow of cool air and a chaste kiss.
“Billie.” You choked out, eager for her hands to dip between your legs. She was getting you too worked up with her lips against your skin, for you to go much longer in this state of heightened anticipation. Your desperate plea had Billie pulling away from you entirely, a grumble falling from you with the lack of contact.
You could hear that she had sat back behind the line of your vision on her knees, and you could practically see the smirk that was undoubtably painted on her face at your neediness. You huffed impatiently when she didn’t reply, when your skin cooled from the lack of her touch.
Chancing a glance backwards over your shoulder, you caught the playful glint of lust in the whites of Billie’s eyes. She swatted at your butt, prompting you to face back away from her, waiting as she repositioned your body to her liking, so your chest still lay against the sheets and your knees propped your ass up in the air.
You felt her thumb graze over your clit, barely pressing against the silk of your panties. Despite the ghost of a touch, you jerked backwards into it, needily searching for friction against her fingers. You heard Billie cooing you, hushing your desperate whines and stilling your hips with a strong grip.
“Patience baby. Let me make up for your birthday, okay.”

They’re Gonna Lose Their Minds When They Find out that just Happened
꒦꒷꒦꒦꒷꒦꒷꒷꒦꒦꒷꒦꒦꒷꒦꒷꒷꒦꒦꒷꒦꒦꒷꒦꒷꒷꒦꒦꒷꒦꒦꒷꒦꒷꒷꒦
Summary: You and Vinny have been seeing each other for a while, and that’s all fine and dandy if it weren’t for your friends bringing some unnecessary pressure to actually become a pair, which worries both you and Vinny about if you two actually want to become a pair.
Warnings: Mentions of friends pressuring you but otherwise none that I know of
Author’s Snip: Deciding to feed the Vinny simps tonight. Hope you all like it.
Notes: I’m actually really proud of this
I’ll shut up now. Enjoy!
꒦꒷꒦꒦꒷꒦꒷꒷꒦꒦꒷꒦꒦꒷꒦꒷꒷꒦꒦꒷꒦꒦꒷꒦꒷꒷꒦꒦꒷꒦꒦꒷꒦꒷꒷꒦
The tension involving you and Vinny was ridiculous. But the shitty part of it was that the tension wasn’t between the two of you, it was placed on the two of you. You and Vinny were seeing each other because you were friends with Jess and mentioned that you were trying to get out into the dating scene and she mentioned that she knew a friend of her boyfriend, Jeff, was sort of trying to get into that scene too. So she thought it would be nice to just set the two of you up just to see what happened.
That itself wasn’t bad. It’s good to start in a small pool before going into the vast sea of singles. Maybe Vinny and you would get along since you knew Jeff and got along really well with him. But then Evan and Jeff got in on it because Vinny didn’t usually get dates due to his lack of outgoing-ness, and Jess always wanted to know how it was going between the two of you. So now you both had people rooting for you two to become “a thing” even though you were just seeing each other.
This wasn’t to say that you and Vinny didn’t like each other. You thought he was charming in a sweet and polite kind of way, and Vinny seemed to enjoy the time you spent together too. But it all felt awkward considering the outer party that always seemed to loom over you.
If you had to think about it, this was what you believed to be the fifth date you two had been on. This time, you had gone out to eat, catch a movie, and walk around. The date was now over and Vinny had driven you home and followed you to the door, a thing he did every date. It was usually at the door where you exchanged a few more words and then said goodbye before you went in and he went back to his car to head home.
“I had fun tonight.” you remarked. “Yeah, me too.” Vinny replied.
This part always felt a bit awkward, which didn’t fail to happen here too. But Vinny spoke almost immediately after saying he enjoyed the date.
“Do you wanna keep doing this?” he asked. “What do you mean?”, you didn’t know what he meant. “This. The dates.” Vinny clarified slightly. “Do you not actually like going on dates with me?” you questioned, feeling a little offended if he said that he didn’t.
“I do. It’s just that,” Vinny admitted and glanced to the side for a moment as if he were trying to think of something to say. “I can tell that Evan and Jeff, and Jess, putting a lot of faith on us getting together weirds you out a bunch.” Vinny explained. “I know that it’s not really well hidden whenever they ask one of us about each other. And...”, he trailed off. “And?” you mimicked with curiosity on where he was going with this.
Vinny sighed, presumedly not really knowing where even he was going with what he was trying to say. “I like you, (y/n). I really do. I think I’d really enjoy being in an actual relationship with you. But I don’t want you to feel like you have to get into a relationship with me if you’d only do it because of the pressure that our friends put on us.” he blabbered. “So, do you want to keep doing this,” he asked again, “Or do you maybe want to throw the towel in so that our friends stop acting dumb?”.
You stood there and thought for a second, maybe even a moment, trying to register all that Vinny said. You did think that he was charming in a way, and you do in fact like doing on dates with him and being with him in general, not to mention that he was actually very cute in your opinion. So you figured that maybe you would actually like to be in a relationship with him.
“I like you too,” you started with, honestly trying to figure out your response as you go. “And I do actually want our friends to stop pressuring us to get together.” you added. “So I guess we should mix the two and get into a relationship.” you finished and let your mouth curve into a smile on its own, though you think the smile might have looked a little unsteady with how it felt as it formed. Vinny nodded in response before promptly saying “Cool,”. “That’s great.” he breathed out.
It was awkward again but it wasn’t uncomfortable this time. You two just sort of stood there for a moment doing nothing but having faint smiles plastered on your faces.
“I should probably get going now.” Vinny muttered gently, slightly gesturing towards his car. “Okay.” you responded. But just before he could open his mouth to say goodbye, you gave his hand a slight grasp and leaned in to give him a kiss on the cheek.
That motion seemed to stun Vinny for a moment before his body booted what just happened to his brain, to which his mouth curved into a smile and his cheeks where dusted with a little bit of red and his lungs cause him wheeze out a little “haa” sound. You let out a laugh at his reaction.
“They’re gonna lose their minds when they find out that just happened, huh?” you joked. He laughed back.
“Okay, then. I guess this is where we say goodbye. Yeah?” you said. “Yeah. It is. It’s getting late.” Vinny agreed.
For a brief moment he glanced at his hand, to which you were still holding in the grasp of yours and squeezed is as he said “See ya’.”. “Good night, Vinny.” you replied, as you let go of his hand so that he could leave.
And for that moment where you needed to unlock your door and he needed to walk to his car, you two would turn back and give little waves as you had your faces lined with what must have been the dorkiest smiles that would no doubt be used as a tease among your friends group.

Wangxian prompt: They see each other constantly. Like, maybe they're neighbors, or is a "my kid's teacher" situation. Maybe they meet at the bus stop, or work in the same company but different offices. So they're aware of each other and they exchange glances, maybe little inside-joke smiles about things they both notice. They see each other being brave, competent, kind, so so handsome. And when they actually talk to each other months later the first thing they say is "Marry me" and "Yes"
ooh!! this sounds like a lot of fun, i love it so much. i think office workers would be the best bc then we can contrast the banality of the rest of their lives to the quirkiness of their relationship so to speak.
okay so it all started when lwj decided that he wanted to eat breakfast on his apartment balcony
he takes his bowl and goes to sit in the chair outside and he’s prepared to just enjoy the cool morning air but when he looks up he sees a man sitting on the balcony exactly opposite his
wwx, by some strange luck, has the apartment across the street, and always goes outside to try and wake up bc he is not a morning person at all and the 9-5 job is killer for someone who likes to go to sleep at like three in the morning
anyway, lwj looks up and sees this kinda cute guy just sitting on the floor miserably blinking at the rising sun and is like oh weird and tries not to stare too much
but after that first time lwj sees him, he starts seeing mystery balcony dude everywhere, like everywhere and no amount of not staring is gonna save him
he goes down to his favourite cafe to get a cup of tea after breakfast and while he’s enjoying his tea and reading the newspaper he hears someone laugh loudly and glances over to the muffin display to see balcony man chatting with one of the staff as he orders his own coffee
balcony man must have noticed his attention because he looks over and for a moment he looks confused but then he’s smiling brightly at lwj and it’s this absolutely amazing smile and he’s even hotter when he’s not sitting in a ratty t-shirt across the street and lwj panics, chugs the rest of his tea, and immediately leaves
he ends up arriving at the train station fifteen minutes early and is stuck awkwardly waiting while avoiding the grandma who likes showing men pictures of her granddaughter who is very beautiful and very single apparently
the train arrives and lwj gets on, finds a seat and pulls out his phone to respond to emails. then, just as the doors are about to shut, who should rush in but balcony man
he’s kinda sweaty and red but the guy makes it look good and he ends up sitting down a few metres from lwj, not that lwj notices because he’s very busy responding to his emails about how one of the teams in sales is having difficulties with one of their projects, so busy that he spends the next thirty minutes staring at the email unable to get past the second line
lwj and wwx end up getting off at the same stop and to lwj’s absolute horror they end up going to the same building
lwj tries to do the thing where you speedwalk past the person so they don’t think you’re following them but then wwx did the same thing to him so they end up arriving at the same time
they get in the elevator together, lwj near the door off to the left and balcony man in the far corner, leaning against the wall and looking down at his shoes
it’s kind of awkward but thankfully wwx gets off at the fifteenth floor - software design and tech support or something while lwj gets off at the twentieth floor - sales maybe?
he doesn’t see the man again until the end of the work day when they get into the elevator at the same time and go back down. they’re the only two people in there bc they’re working late or the stars aligned or something
and that’s just the first day. after that, every day the same thing happens and they keep seeing each other as they’re going to and from work.
but also lwj goes to do the grocery shopping and when he’s paying wwx is in the next line across and when he goes to buy new strings for his guqin wwx is already in the store buying a new mouthpiece for his dizi
this goes on for a few weeks and then one morning, while wwx is trying to shock his system into waking up and lwj is just enjoying breakfast, they hear familiar shouting: the couple downstairs is breaking up again
lwj rolls his eyes, aware that come next week they’ll be dating again, and just blocks it out when the boyfriend comes stumbling out of the building with his shirt half on and the girlfriend still yelling
he looks across the street to see what balcony man thinks of it all and sees that he’s mouthing along to the argument (it really is exactly the same speech every time but it’s incredible that he’s memorised it). lwj snorts. it’s unseemly and rude but balcony man is over there acting out the break up as well as mouthing along and it’s the funniest thing lwj’s seen all week.
wwx notices him laugh and decides to wave at him. lwj tentatively waves back and with that the magic of their relationship sets in
now when lwj goes to the cafe in the morning wwx will look around the store until he spots lwj and wave at him, and lwj will lift his mug up in greeting which always make wwx laugh
then when they get on the train, they always get seats opposite each other and while they never actually say anything, sometimes lwj will glance over to see wwx sneaking a look at him. they both blush and look away but moments later they’re doing it again
when they walk to work, lwj crosses the street so they can walk at the same pace and not have to actually be right next to each other and despite having to cross back over, wwx is always still waiting to catch the elevator with him.
now when they go up, they still don’t talk to each other but wwx always hums and lwj taps along with whatever tune he’s picked.
same thing when they go back down in the evening and catch the train back
over time it starts to become more than just staring and smiling, now when the couple downstairs breaks up, wwx will hold up like three fingers and lwj understands that balcony man thinks they’ll get back together within three days
(wwx’s always right btw)
when they go to the cafe lwj will send wwx a thumbs down if the sports mum with eight kids gets in queue first and wwx will always make hearts with his hands whenever the baristas start flirting.
when they get in the train and hear the angry businessmen argue they’re sitting there making funny faces at each other,, well wwx does and lwj just tries to keep his face blank. he usually succeeds but sometimes he smiles and wwx will always do a little victory wiggle which is honestly so cute lwj is dying
the elevator? they don’t even have to say anything. whenever a coworker they don’t like hops in they just find subtle ways to explain why they don’t like them and how
the best time was when lwj saw su she get in and immediately pulled a face like he sucked a lemon and had to try and mime “he always takes really long lunches and is really bad at sales but we can’t get rid of him because he’d whine too much and no one wants to put up with that” but he’s lwj and doesn’t really do miming. in contrast, when wen chao gets in wwx just holds up his thumb and pointer finger like he’s measuring something, and holds them only a few centimetres apart.
they both get really good at reading each other like that
when they catch the train back home it’s always really late so lwj ends up reading a book while wwx sketches and, just as lwj always holds up his books so wwx can see the cover, wwx will show lwj whatever he’s drawn
at one point in time lwj comes home and sees a stray kitten hiding in a box near the entrance to his building but he can’t take it in bc of his rabbit so instead he goes out onto his balcony and just points straight down and holds up a cardboard box he has in his own apartment
without even hesitating wwx goes downstairs and crosses the street, still dressed in his pyjamas, and takes the kitten home.
lwj kinda expected wwx to take the kitten to a shelter or something but within a month their morning routine changes to allow a kitten to climb all over wwx as he tries to wake up and it’s ridiculously adorable but also lwj is sitting there in absolute awe of how good balcony man is to just take in a stray like that
there’s probably a few other scenes, like wwx and lwj going out to a dinner with their teams and they get seated at nearby tables and end up sending each other commiserating smiles whenever the conversation gets particularly dull and the time when lwj gets caught by the well-meaning grandma who always tries to set people up with her granddaughter on the train and he taps out sos in morse code and wwx just replies rip and stares out the window for the rest of the trip
anyway this is getting a bit long so im going to say jump forward a year (doesn’t have to be a year i guess). they’re still enjoying this whole thing they’ve got going on and they know each other so well that when lwj sees wwx some mornings he knows to go to the cafe early and order an extra strong coffee for wwx and wwx will sometimes sketch pictures of rabbits when lwj seems a bit annoyed after work
(wwx will fold them into paper aeroplanes and throw them across the train to lwj and lwj always takes them home and flattens them back out and then shows them to his rabbit before before putting them up on the fridge)
one day the trains break down and they’re stuck waiting at the station in the morning and for once lwj feels genuinely sad that he might not get to work on time. like work is whatever but he doesn’t want to miss out on the half an hour on the train with balcony man and the way they speedwalk to see who can get to the office first and the awkward waiting outside the elevators where wwx bounces up and down and lwj taps out a rhythm against his thigh until wwx notices and starts humming along
but then he notices wwx walking over to him. he seems kinda nervous, hesitating at first but he puts on a confident smile and saunters over and lwj is panicking because they haven’t done this before and he doesn’t know what to do
wwx opens his mouth - he’s going to make the first move and ask out his mystery man, but then lwj takes one look at wwx, who’s standing right next to him and it feels different to all the other times they’ve been together, and he panics
wwx barely manages to open his mouth to say good morning when lwj blurts out will you marry me?
wwx blinks, blushes bright red, and immediately goes yes! (it’s a bit too loud and people around them turn to stare but neither of them notice)
lwj immediately whips out his phone and sends in an email saying that he’s taking a sick day and after he sends it off, he slips his phone back into his pocket, takes wwx’s hand in his and asks him what’s your name?
it takes wwx like fifteen minutes to stop laughing by which time they’re back at their cafe and this time, they both sit down at a table after ordering their drinks and it’s the baristas making hearts with their hands at them
