riker on the klingon ship...chefs kiss...he was so good. effortlessly parrying the challenge to his authority. conniving to become captain. the word phrase "who's your daddy now" may have been uttered by one or both parties during these scenes, among incredulous laughter. i can't believe he had it in him.

oh and HOW can we forget the klingon women. i actually forgive them for not only the threesome joke but also the breastfeeding joke because they were: fucking hilarious, actually, and felt more like they were punching down at riker instead of women. also i now 100% believe he is prepared to fuck his way through any given spaceship at any time and GOOD for him.

ok not to randomly go off on a somewhat negative ramble But. (general genshin story direction worries basically)

while there are a bunch of stunts i fear the genshin story slash lore could end up pulling that would serve as not only disappointments but to varying degrees also just retroactively ruin a lot of games writing for me. i dont think theres anything that im as genuinely concerned about as the possibility of like. completely losing their narrative marbles to an overdone time travel/temporal manipulation in one way or another like just the thought of that shit haunts me

bc like. while i dont find them particularly compelling as an argument for that to be the case regarding Everything in the narrative in current lore/theory circles (like. makoto n ei teaming up w istaroth once doesnt automatically establish universal time travel). it is unfortunately true that in canon lore there are many of the kind of lore pieces present that you could use to set that kind of reveal and complete restructuring of the story up. istaroth and the sacred sakura and some shady things said by various characters and how you could argue Any time loop or travel adjacent is just hidden by the irminsul 5head (another piece of writing whose potential misuse seriously alarms me, mind you). and so on.

and i am just. Not about any of that shit. like. for me absolutely any plot device or element that has the risk of fundamentally fucking up a storys continuity and coherence sideways to the degree BOTH the

"genshins gonna turn out to be ALL time travel/time loop/simulation to make [sudden endgame twist X heavily at odds with what was established in the central lore prior] appear sensible"

and

"celestia just irminsuls away all evidence for [that twist X again] so achsually it was always genius and compatible with lore"

tier of nightmare scenarios will have. is just. Not fucking worth it. this shit has ruined countless stories with vastly better writing and way more competent authors because its just. not the kind of stuff you can just insert in a massive fucking story willy nilly to explain away the mystery box you didnt bother to set up together so it ultimately comes together in a cohesive way that Doesnt need to be broken on multiple levels to scrape together some conclusion. and its just hhhhhhhhhhhhhh

and like ive never expected some massive masterpiece out of genshin like at best its gonna be one of those stories that once finished gets some really fucking banger fanwork as its community expands upon and explores a solid but flawed canon groundwork. theres fundamental flaws and limitations to its storytelling and format and that cant be helped. so im expecting no miracles on that front.

but the one fucking thing i dont want them to fall for is that misguided at best and outright pretentious and disrespectful at worst allure of. SEE! we outsmarted the audience! the theories! we broke our own story continuity to force a twist because our established worldbuilding technically makes it an option! isnt this smart!

like just please. no. no clue how unpopular this is but im already quite conflicted on the established use of irminsul in sumeru and how it arguably voided a lot of important characterization (nahidas inferiority complex) and narrative potential (scara literally becoming a non factor in the grander story more or less) for good but like. for now. fine. it hasnt become overused yet. i dont think its inherently bad as a factor of worldbuilding. i like how it recontextualizes fact and fiction and the significance of stories that appear mere fables in the world of teyvat. but as it stands the irminsul is still a deus ex machina. and thats a dangerous tool for any writer to have in careless use. and when combined with the sprinkles of lore involving the possibility of time manipulation and such to be further explored. its like powder and keg. two tools that can absolutely gut a story of its narrative cohesion and the weight of its stakes in an instant. its really fucking worrisome.

genshins writing is flawed but the one thing this game has going for it that i REALLY hope the writers will understand to respect is its world. how much the marriage between this massive and beautifully crafted immersive open world and the intricacies of lore and history afforded to all corners of it truly do in tandem to establish the world of genshin as more Real. as weightier. as a place you grow and remain attached to even when the main storys writing stumbles. the world is so important and to let it remain feeling real is just. i hope they understand how fragile of a gem that is.

featuring an artificial world order established by fraudulent divinity and that involving some degree of cosmic fuck-uppery of the natural order and all-encompassing illusion to maintain it is fine. this is a story heavily referencing gnosticism that theme is literally a given. but it needs to be an artificial world order imposed on a real world that remains feeling real the entire time through. and for that to be preserved it needs to remain grounded.

but the problem is that once a story truly commits to the "anything could be altered and fundamentally reversed with the right mcguffin at play with seeming impunity" there is no going back. it becomes very fucking difficult to keep the figurative feet of a narrative even touching the ground for even the most skilled of writers afforded absolute creative freedom to work with (which genshin does not have). and just that much more easier for the stakes to be lost completely. and i dont want to see that scenario become reality

"what?" i ask "it... it says im missing" richie replied, voice shaking with a hint of panic coming to him.

"y-youre not missing, richie" bill says "police department, city of derry" richie read out loud, panicking "thats my shirt. thats my hair THATS MY FACE" "calm down this isnt real "THATS MY NAME THATS MY AGE THATS MY DATE" richie screamed as bill tries to take the missing poster away "it cant be real, richie" bill states once again as me and eddie watch the two "NO IT SAYS IT SAYS WHAT THE FUCK!! "why wont this god damn door open?! eddie! eddie are you there?!?" i panic even more "eddie open the door! whats going on are you ok?! eds!" bill frantically tried and tried to make the door knob unlock but it still wouldnt.

"richie whats going o-" before i could finish my question the door to the room richie was in shut closed! "richie! richie!!" bill said slamming the door "What the fuck richie ! richie!!!!" "bill [name] come on open the door! it wont open!" richie says " We cant!" "whats going on richie! open the door!" bill screamed the door was jammed and we couldnt do anything about it.

We then hear eddie laguhing from the matress. his head popping out the mattress ripping the fabric revealing his face covered in dust?

we were then faced with three doors. one saying not scary at all on the left, scary in the middle and very scary on the right. the three of us looked at each other collectively agreeing to open the not scary at all door as quickly as we could.

"where's my shoe" we hear betty says. bill pulls the string to open the light revealingbetty ripsom's body tied up with her legs cut off "AHHHHHH" the three of us screamed "WHERE THE FUCK WERE HER LEGS?!" richie exclaimed "HOLY SHIT WHAT THE FUCK WAS THAT?!" i added "t-this isnt real, remember the missing kid poster that wasnt real so this isnt real" bill said holding both me and richie by the arm making us face him. "come on ready?" he then asks "NO" me and richie scream. bill opened the door again revealing the hallway we were at before "oh thank god" richie sighed

"help! help!!" we hear eddie scream as we rushed down the stairs.

eddie and THE CLOWN?! "EDDIE!"i screamed hoping to get the clown's attention away from eating my friend. "eddie! holy fuck..." richie said, the clown was smiling at us his sharp teeth slowly showing. " this isnt real enough for you billy?" hell nah... "im not real enough for you?" "oh shit" rchie reacted.

"it was real enough for georgie" NO HE DIDNT! it laughed so horrifyingly and went straight at us when suddenly beverly comes in piercing it straight in the head "get eddie GET EDDIE!" i screamed making all of us go to him. the clown slowly faced us looking more terrifying than before, its hands grew sharper fingers as it slowly came closer to us, it scared us but didnt attack, instead turning and scratching poor ben's stomach, laughing. all of us frantically screamed as it slowly retreated back into the house further away from wehre we are. "Dont let him get away." bill says standing up and following the clown, jesus this boy really wants to get killed huh? "you guys stay here ok?" i tell them as i stood up and followed bill.

"the sewers..." i stated as i realize where it was heading. "bill! [name]! we have to help eddie!" richie shouted at us making me and bill go back.

"NO!NO!" eddie screamed "im gonna snap your arm into place" richie said "rich DO NOT FUCKING TOUCH ME" eddie snapped at him "okay, one, two, three" "DO NOT TOUCH ME!!!"

"HOLY SHIT" we all ran out and drove on our bikes getting away from this hell hole right back to eddie's house.

"we were attacked mrs. K" bill tried to explain but eddie's mom was not having any of it. "no dont try to blame anyone for this" mrs. K says getting eddie in the car and dropping her wallet and keys in the process. Bev leaned down to pick them up but mrs.K stopped here mid-way "get back!" mrs. K picked up here things and leaned closer to bev "oh, i've heard of you, miss marsh. and i dont want a dirty girl like you touching my son." what the hell?! "EXCUSE M-" before i could finish bev stopped me. "dont" she whispered. "m-m-mrs. k i-i-i.." "no! you are all monsters. all of you" mrs.k cut bill off "and eddie is done with you. do you hear? done!" Listening to the striking of metal as Brienne's sword clashed with her opponents made you almost flinch. Though it was just training, Brienne's opponents as throwing all they had. That watching could tell her opponent was losing their composer, angry that their hits have not landed. But Brienne was skilled with a sword, one of the best you have seen. The spar only lasted for some time before Brienne seemingly had enough and gained the upper hand.

You could not remember the last time you had seen Brienne stop for a moment and simply rest. You were aware War was on the horizon, that there was not much time before a battle was at the doorstep. But there were so many people here willingly and able to work, there was no need for Brienne to pile all this pressure onto herself. In a way you understood, she had so much to prove, so many people to protect. Yet how could she do it when she is practically exhausted?

As the mountain of the woman near you, your smile grew. You hoped that maybe she may rest before sparring with someone else, as in your eyes she looked exhausted from the countless times she has swang her sword. However, she only sent you and smile, continuing to stand instead of taking a seat like you hoped. "My love, take a moment to rest." Though for now, Brienne would allow you to do some by yourself, she would eventually come to find you and help you with them. Yet, for now she rests like you wished, almost scared of your rath if she did not.

Ok, So as a straight cis woman and most importantly a Big fan of both your games. What you said about your games aimed at the LGBTQ community made me feel like a cast out and that I'm not taken into consideration. I would also like to mention that I understand the "cal scene" I mean even we get rejected YK. I would understand your point if you are only including ONLY LGBTQ content, characters and MC in your stories but the fact that in both games we can play as straight wouldn't that mean that it includes\aimed at us too. you have fans from every gender and sexuality, you don't have to "undervalue" a section I think as an author you should be more objective. You don't have to reply I just wanted to make a point and I still think that your games and storylines are cool and will continue playing as long as I don't feel discriminated or outcasted in the game.💞💖

When I say "aimed at", I'm meaning "written with them in mind". That's not at all true; there's plenty of CoGs/HGs that include LGBT+ options, but those games are not aimed at the community in any way; a game being aimed at a community will give more choices for that specific community especially if that community is as diverse as the LGBT+ one is.

Yes, I understand I have fans from many different backgrounds and I don't undervalue any fans at all, what I am saying is that while I do write to include cis straight persons, my games will generally be in mind for lgbt+ persons, from pronoun picking to gender to being ace, and having those things incorporated somehow in the game. I've been on my soapbox about some stuff on here before, like the gross misrepresentation of ace people in most games, and god dont get me started on the horrible shit I've seen said on the forums about people using they/them and the blatant phobias of most lgbt+ identities on there. Why shouldn't my community have a safe haven of writers who actually genuinely care about them and their representation when one of our biggest writers from the forums turned out to be so shitty a person? It's not fair, in any form or way, given that is not a worry for specifically the cis straight community (not talkin about my trans straight folks nor my cis gays).

Also, I don't write discrimination on sexuality nor gender, but please, as a cis straight woman, do not bring up discrimination to me. Cis straight people do not get gender nor sexuality discrimination; I have never, ever heard of someone being shunned by their family or being fired from their job, nor being made to feel like their lives matter less than those around them for being cis and straight. Most of my own family thinks my mom "didn't do her job" and they only know I prefer women, and Faye's family blame me for them being who they are and made sure I knew it, as well as telling Faye it's a phase or I'm "influencing" them. So, please. Really, really think before using the word "discrimination" when dealing with gender and sexuality.

as you begin to laugh at the thought of his face when he finds out whats happening tonight, you hear a knock at your door.

opening it, you see a smiling boy who immediately embraces you with a warm hug. he notices your extra wide smile and smugly says, “i know youre obsessed with me, but you dont have to show how excited you are, it’s getting a little creepy, you know😩💪”

rolling your eyes, you concentrate on making sure the lines you drew on his eyelids were straight and the way you wanted them to look. after finishing one eye, you move away from his face and examine your work. “wow im so good”

“are you really though? the only way to find out the truth is when i get to see the final product” rolling your eyes for what felt like the 50th time in the past hour, you start on his other eye.

after about 10 more minutes, you back away from his face once more and sigh. “finally” you grab a mirror from beside you turn it towards yourself.

“you ready?”

you turn the mirror, so it faced beomgyu and his jaw drops, “omg wait i look even beter than usual wtf”
