you ever think that the x files is just a silly little show from the 90s and seemingly no longer relevant and then BAM a youtuber uses the theme song to denote something spooky and you're like ok they probably have no idea where that song is from so whatever? so you scroll on tiktok for a while and BAM a thirst edit of fox mulder with a million views comes across your for you page and you just chalk it up to the algorithm right? so you think oh boy i need something to take the edge off and then BAM the packaging for the edibles you just bought has aliens all over it and literally says I WANT TO BELIEVE across the top and then you're like ok. so maybe my silly little show from the 90s is more ingrained in the cultural zeitgeist than i thought.

Me: I want to talk about Louis de Pointe du Lac in the books and how he's constantly haunting the narrative whenever Lestat is the narrator, even when he's not physically present or Lestat isn't even consciously thinking of him, because Lestat is actually always thinking of him and remembering him and using him as his humanity compass, and...
The tiny rational part of me: can you PLEASE go to bed, you'll write a love letter to Louis once you've had more than 4 hours of sleep, I am begging you, your eyes are burning, your neck is aching, you're starting to get a headache and you're being slightly delirious.

Anyway I love Louis and I love how Lestat completely adores Louis and I love how every single vampire of the Court, from the most ancients to the youngests, know that they belong together and no one should ever try to separate them.

my partner's family is 100% how i'm going to get covid
#i'm immunocompromised and i swear some people think that means hypochondriac who worries too much#her brother and his wife have covid. he tested positive on tuesday morning. on tuesday afternoon her parents saw the wife.#my partner wanted to see them this weekend and asked if they've seen her brother since he got sick and they said no.#it did not occur to ppl that the person who SLEEPS NEXT TO HIM and then TESTED POSITIVE a couple days ago was also included in that#on top of that her dad asked to hang out indoors because he's been feeling sick and didn't feel up to being outdoors...#i love them and it's important to spend time with them but oh my god how did you not put these pieces together#btw all this was revealed over an hour spent indoors eating together like. THEY DID NOT PUT IT TOGETHER#i really hope we don't get infected this round i hate this so much#please don't get me wrong her parents are genuinely a massive blessing in my life and i love them very much and am so so grateful for them#but i'm frustrated how unseriously the entire world is taking this#anyways if we get covid from them and not from my partner's brother's wife's family (half of whom are republicans) it'll be darkly funny#if i die from covid i'm haunting all of you btw for NOT FUCKING MASKING

So a few months ago I decide to watch bbc Sherlock and being a devoted childhood fan of Sherlock since childhood I immediately become infatuated with the series.
Also.... Mycroft Holmes is a fucking all seeing genius and that mf knows it.
But....BUT
Hear me out y'all....
After seeing and completing the series I swear strange things have just been happening in my life which can only be described by the word "co-incidences".
Also, now wherever I am looking, my eyes are only somehow finding the infamous Sherlock Holmes novels and a picture of fucking MYCROFT HOLMES. I went to watch the new Mission Impossible movie for a change and who do y'all think I found in that one government scene? MYCROFT EFFING HOLMES! Again!!
I mean ...I admit that I might have cracked some jokes regarding Mycroft and his cake obsession but I swear I didn't mean any harm!

Made the connection last night that rain being in my dreams means that I'm experiencing inner turmoil.

I swear Colin is just speed running Jon's arc from Magnus Archives. In less then a season he's gone from being the grouchy Co worker, to incredibly paranoid, to foolishy smashing haunted objects. If he hasn't become God by the end of this season I'm going to be very disappointed
