I was on TV Tropes looking at examples of Kirby Krackle in media.

In the Live Action section, it only has four examples, and all four are from the MCU.

I decided to look into them, and here's what I found, starting with Guardians of the Galaxy:

Keep in mind that all of these look better in motion, but even screenshots get the general vibe down.

Does it look like Kirby Krackle?... Kinda? I sorta see it. Not really though. The smoke representing the ink while the white is represented by the light is a neat idea. The whirlwind of smoke, sparks, and debris give it a velocity that coveys power very well. It gives it a very elemental feeling which has potential (more on that later). But at the same time… I had to be told this was Kirby Krackle on TV tropes 7/10

Thor Ragnarok goes more for a gooey, eldritch feeling to the krackle, resembling literal inkblots dangling in 3D space like evil bubbles. While it does look like Kirby Krackle, I feel it's too static and squishy to covey power. It needs to Krackle, not simmer. Frankly, it barely even bubbles.

I assume this is what TV Tropes is talking about. As much as I kinda like this movie, I disagree that this is Kirby Krackle. Yes, it's several circles dotted all over the place, but it does not fulfill the function of Kirby Krackle. It looks more like the blueprints of the object it's about to create rather than what the Krackle is tradtionally used for. Still, I appreciate that it's a very abstract version of the iconic dots.

There's one live action example missing from TV Tropes that I must talk about though, because it is unironically my favourite live action Kirby Krackle:

Look at the streaking pillars of smoke, the girgling fire, the streaking debris, the rays of light pouring out from the gaps, leaving foreground elements a silhouette in their wake. It has velocity, it has volume, it has contrast, by god it has krackle dammit! Even though these are elements that exist in our real world, the way they are combined together to suggest Kirby Krackle is genuinely a fantastic adaptation achievement.

And that's the thing, all it uses are elements that exist in our world, which might sound counter intuitive if you only know Kirby Krackle as a cosmic force.

It's true, Kirby's drawings of space are famous for a reason, but you know what else he's used the krackle to depict?

FIRE AND SMOKE

TREES AND STONE

HUMAN HAIR

Because what you have to understand is that Kirby Krackle is not just cosmic energy, it is the energy of life itself. Life is movement and heat. It is kinetic, alive and bursting at the seams! Intentional or not, this is what Rise of the Silver Surfer got right about Kirby Krackle.

Only to come across this motherfucker while passing through. Humming the London bridge is Falling Down while hunched over something behind one the local comunial waste bins. Obviously whatever it was had the bizarre-o ivory-haired man distracted enough to not notice your initial presence. If you were a normal self-preservation instinct still intact person you would've ran back the way you came.

Buuut that's too easy sooooo, no.

You—, you decide to play Blue's fuckin Clues and go stroll by the dude to see what he dooooin'.(Kinda like when there's a crash and everyone is like yoo I wanna see. But there's traffic so they slow just a little bit down when passing the crash to see what's up. Cause we all nosey b*tches. Don't lie.)

Didn't even take five steps before this crackhead whipped around to see who was approaching. And in the same short amount of time it took the mustached hetero-chromatic eyed dude to analyze your fluctuating aura of emotions. Meanwhile your ass noticed how this dude was fist deep in this lady's guts playin' doctor with a satchel of equipment at his side. Outfit drenched in the same burgundy colored ooze that flooded from the ripped open abscess in the abdomen of the obviously recently deceased women that was prompted up against the corner where the waste bin met the structure.

Before you could even think of back pedaling out of this situation. The pale haired man had launched himself on you. Quick to restrain you against the gross ass cobblestone wall of the ally way. In the right hand a common barbers knife that'd you find in any supplies shop in london—hovered threateningly above the thin skin of your throat. While the other was kept busy planting you against the wall by the roots of your still pinned up hair.

The desire to allow fear course into your veins was strong as you stared trapped in the heterochromatic pools of mania that belong to the person infront of you. Pools of crimson and glacier keeping you pinned. The former of the two holding almost supernatural glow to it. The gleam of it's light piercing through the veil of fog and darkness like the knife he so carefully wielded.

"What's a young maiden like yourself walking around at this hour in a place like this? And without a chaperon?" The mustached man inquired though obviously not out of interest but, amusement. Maintaining the manic look upon his pale aging features as he peered back into orbs of (y/e).

"It is a blind goose that cometh to a fox's sermon." The older gentleman cooed. Warm breath fan across the skin of your face leaving behind goosebumps in its wake.

The guy was definitely creepy.

Though not keen on being a damsel in destress of any kind. Your ass knew you wanted to survive this counter. And no one from the London yard to the hooker you passed on the corner is gonna help you now.

You had three options:

Reason

With a blade at your throat you might as well call yourself Marie Antoinette 2.0, if you chose the first option. Fighting with this dude would definitely be one-sided. From the fact that it took him 2.5 secs to over power you and contain you to a single spot. Yeah that's a no-go. And to be honest you weren't a hundred percent sure if reasoning would work on the psycho in front of you. Based off the fact he's staring at you like a mustached Cheshire Cat with a Mad Hatter's attitude. This is one fucked game of perseverance that you wish hadn't walked into.

Your last resort? You weren't completely sure what yet but one thing for sure; the way this night was looking so far this might be your last time underneath the moonlight. You might as well try something. It's not like you have anything left in your life to lose.

As you steeled your resolve in your mind. Your aura told the middle age man everything he needed to know.

At first glance it was nothing special. Just a cesspool of emotions primarily exhaustion and the normal stress that lays beneath every worrisome thought of the future and tomorrow's problems.

He was just going to rip her up like the predecessors that came before her. However, it was when he pinned her to the putride wall of the alleyway that he saw her true colors.

They shifted like a marvelous rainbow. One moment they were a stressful cobalt. The next a surprised cyan. Than a thoughtful calculative lime green.

However resting a deeper emotion sat next to the core in every flash of color. Remaining vigilant against an invasion from outside forces that threaten to penetrate the brigade that kept them at bay. Was a spec of regretful indigo. There it sat safe guarding the very thing that created its very being. So the same thing wouldn't happen again.

The array of sensitive colors dazzled his senses. The alternating emotions keep his interest peeked and the knife from laying any more pressure on your artery. His receptors in his nerves soaking up the vivid feelings like a dry sponge in the bath water. However unlike the sponge, his body just craved more.

He wanted to see the violet purple. The despair fill her heart. It was his favorite thing.

Swallowing a thick glob of saliva your (y/e) irises began to what you think is nonchalant but, isn't very chalant— scanning your surroundings. Looking for an opportunity to present itself despite the current obvious disadvantages. -cough- knife at your throat -cough- head at risk being slammed -cough-.

The creepy-ass grin from the creepy-ass man in front of you didn't help easing any tension in the little space between you two.

He hummed amused with your statement. How foolish you were to think ignorance could save you from your sealed fate.

Since the start you never got to have that family. You never knew your parents. They had left you at an orphanage. Lucky for you that they had room to spare. Most became water logged coffins sealing away the babes from undesirable fates.

It wasn't sunshine and rainbows at the orphanage. You had to pull your weight from a very young age. Those who didn't contribute didn't get food, those who resisted got sent away, anyone who didn't listen came back from lectures with welts and concussions. You pick and choose your battles. And you chose them very carefully for the first fifteen years.

Until you felt the need to defend yourself against one of the caretakers who wasn't so noble. You had shed first blood the summer before. And ever since had been on the edge due to prying eyes and wandering hands.

My favourite MCU character is loki. I would say Peter, but MCU Peter isn't really my favourite- still like him tho- and other than that there's Tony stark but I'm kinda over my iron man obsession, sooooo. Loki. Forever my obsession. (Not the Ragnarok or Loki show version of the character because ehhhh, let's not)

My favourite movie has got to be the first avengers movie. It's the movie that got me into the franchise and the one of the only mcu movies that I can revisit without hating any part of the movie. Other than that the black panther movies are a huge favourite, and the Spiderman movies are my brother's favourite, so probably those.

Show. Hmmm. I don't really have a favourite, I feel pretty lukewarm about nearly all of them.

On Google, it misses films out, etc. Can any Marvel fans please give me the best order to watch them chronologically? Not in order of release date necessarily, but in the order that makes the most sense, so I won't be watching a film that takes place after the events of a previous one before the previous one. Ahhhhhhhhh a little behind the scenes action, eh? Yes! Okay, let's go!

First off, I just wanna say, I love chatting with y'all about the BS:U it gives me the best worst ideas and I love to know y'all's reactions and what y'all liked cuz then I can write more of it 😉

Second, I'm sorry for taking so long to answer this, I was really excited when I got it and I had to choose between answering or writing TS&TS and then I realized that I've been working on this project for so long, I can't remember all my little easter eggs soooooo....

There are a few things I'm still waiting for one of y'all to pick up on (or at least tell me you caught), so I'm not gonna tell you which chapter everything is in.

Also this is in no particular order:

The most recent was a very brief call to to Thor: Ragnarok in Ch67, Jack calls Wraith movements 'freaky circles' which is a slight ref to Korg in Ragnarok.

Wraith was also kinda an accident...tho, don't tell him that, he'll get mad. I'd been going back and forth on him for a long time before he showed up the first time and then I decided to bring him into the fold.

Originally I was going to have one of two things happen:

1: They all died in the ambush and stayed dead 2: Or, they all faked their death and came back to haunt Ghost in the present as a Hydra!Team and there would be a massive fight between Cap's Quintet (see what i did there) and the Hydra!Alpha team.

Aftermath was supposed to be destroyed with Weston but I fell in love with Boone and Duke so I decided they'd help it carry on

The original Alpha 2 looked completely different than the one we have now

When I was creating the Senator, I kept his name secret because I was flipping back and forth between Turner being the Senator and Commander Weston being the Senator. The ultimate decision-maker was that first flashback in BS:A and when I decided that Turner was married. I didn't want to tear apart another family 😬

On that note, Nea and Nia (& Babar) are probably my fave characters right now

There was a reference to Nomad, one of Steve Roger's comic book monikers

It's not secret that Boone Cavanaugh and her family love black and white movies or that I based Boone's looks slightly off of Lauren Bacall. That being said, Boone quotes the movie Casablanca twice in BS:A

The museum scene in Prague was based off of Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol and Quantum of Solace

Olympus was originally supposed to be located further north but I wanted it to be located in the same state that Turner was from and he's from New Orleans sooooo.....oops

The van scene in 7T7K was based off of a scene from Jack Reacher

All of The Red Room chapter titles are the names of James Bond films and their opening quotes are quotes from their respective movies

The Red Room is also my favorite work, I'm really proud of how it came out and how quickly I was able to get it out. I'm just super proud of it.

I was originally going to have Novak have a bigger role in The Red Room but ultimately decided to keep it closer to Black Widow and more about Natasha.

In S1 of The Soldier & The Spy when Dimitri says he 'knew a spy once' that was supposed to be just a little easter egg but spun out of control when I wrote TRR

I also feel really bad about killing off Dimitri

Rook was based off of Rami Malek's portrayal as Lyutsifer Safin in No Time to Die.

We were supposed to only get like 5 flashback chapters but I got too attached to Alpha 1

Delphine was based off of Sofia Boutella's protrayal of Delphine Laselle in my comfort movie, Atomic Blonde. Manette was based off of Monica Bellucci in Spectre

I was going to have an Odin cameo in TRR because Dimitri was at the same home he was in butttt....I forgot about him and no one misses him anyway. But, just for those that wanna know, Dimitri didn't like Odin. He may have even chucked a paintbrush at him once or twice...maybe like five times

- Loki was only half frost giant, his mother was enchantress, so he was never blue at all, and was never considered a runt. When Odin finds him, he nearly kills him with a knife but then realizes he can’t because he looks aesir

- Loki and Thor weren’t able to fight and hurt each other because Odin and Frigga cast a spell on them when they were little

- there was Balder (and Nana) who was a friend and a mentor to Thor and Loki and Thor kills him which causes him to be banished to Midgard

-Odin was actually terrified of Thor’s thirst for glory and power and had doubts in him

- there’s Karnilla, (who’s basically more Sigyn, but still, she’s there)

- Thor is captured and enslaved by the vikings on earth and has to compete to find mjolnir which is disguised as a stick

- Loki has closer relationship with Odin than with Frigga and Odin actually truly cares for him? like, he gives him Asgard and all and it’s revealed Frigga always had doubts in Loki

- Loki doesn’t hate frost giants, he accepts he’s one of them, doesn’t want to hurt or kill them and he sides with them

- Loki’s not angry about being a jotun, but because Odin and Frigga lied to him his entire life, killed his real father who had no quarrel against Asgard, stole things from Jotunheim and started a war with jotuns.

-Loki has a brother and a sister, who is a total sweetheart and is thrilled when she finds out Loki’s alive

- at the beginning Thor is a lot like Hela, he’s arrogant, power hungry, war loving and even Odin is afraid of what he could become. he’s really disrespectful towards Sif (who even slaps him) and Balder (and Loki calls him out on that) but he goes through some serious character development. even though Thor then realizes Loki tricked him and had a hand in his banishment, he doesn’t blame him for Balder’s death because it was his own doing and Loki knew what was in his heart. ambition, pride, vanity, the need for glory.

- Thor is one year older than Loki

- Loki has no ill feelings towards Thor and loves him and idolizes him

- there’s a scene where Loki, after finding out about his heritage, goes to his chambers, gets naked and self harms by trying to burn off a birthmark that indicates he’s one of the jotun royal family members

- Thor is gifted mjolnir by Ivaldi and after Odin banishes Thor he orders Ivaldi to give mjolnir to Loki, but Ivaldi disobeys Odin, enchants mjolnir and sends it to earth disguised as a stick

- odinsleep is something no one but Odin, Frigga and Balder knows about, so just before Odin goes out, he explains it to Loki who then uses that knowledge to trick asgardians into thinking Odin’s dead

-Odin apologizes to Loki for all the lies and he begs him to punish him, and leave everyone else be.

- Loki literally dusts one of the einherjar…like the whole Thanos snap thingy? he can do that.

-Loki uses only magic, he’s like on another level power wise, he can even manipulate fire, water, ice... and levitate

- Thor nearly dies when a berserker cuts him but Sif heals him.

- after killing Loki’s brother, Thor tries to make peace with Loki, that they could forget the past, start anew etc and Loki is a bit touched, admits that he wishes he could and then he and Karnilla escape to Midgard and Thor becomes a protector of the nine realms.

- Karnilla enchants a prophecy while she’s pregnant that her and Loki’s unborn children will cause Ragnarok

 - the focus is more on Loki than on Thor, even though the movie is literally named ‘Thor’. Apparently, judging by what the trades had to say, marvel was very pleased with this version of the first Thor movie, but had to change everything because they estimated the budget would be too big (around 300million)

- also, they literally described Thor as “a well muscled adult with rugged good looks who exudes power and a sense of entitlement. He’s a bit of a dandy, but a confident and skilled warrior who engenders fierce loyalty from friend and bitter hatred from enemies.”

- and Loki as “on Thor’s right is his cherished brother, Loki. Darkly handsome and extremely clever, Loki is a sensitive soul who clearly idolizes his older sibling.”

I’m going to write down some of my opinions about the Loki TV show just so I can come back to these posts when the show is over and (probably) realize what a terribly naive child I’ve been 🙃

I didn’t like the humor, like, at all; I’m not surprised by this, I kinda expected them to turn to ragnarok-ish jokes, but considering it’s 2012 Avengers Loki we’re talking about, I hoped we’d see Loki as he was in that movie, not like he was later in the franchise (‘cause, u know… consistency)

I do appreciate that they tackled some more serious stuff later on, like the death of Frigga and that finally Loki was shown as an actual living being with emotions rather than the evilly tricky villain; that ‘I don’t like hurting people but I have to do it, it’s part of the illusion’ pretty much destroyed me for the next 10 years

I died twice, first at the naked scene, then when he was crying

If anyone says one more time that Loki’s destiny is only to cause suffering I’ll personally go to the TVA and show them what that actually means

I still keep my hope that this show will deal with aaallll of Loki’s past trauma, including him being tortured by Thanos (tho I have to admit, my hope is pretty slim)

Also, if there isn’t a happy ending imma be so fucking mad

Predictions, speculations rumors and hopes for Spider-Man no way home

Cause I’m so excited!!!!

(To comeback to this once we have footage and then once the movie is out and watched)

- Both Andrew and Tobey will appear as their Spider-Man versions. I’m sure of it. I want them to have more screentime than iron man did in homecoming but not enough to overshadow tom’s spidey. Idk what’s a good balance. I kinda feel like in spiderverse, miles was way to overshadowed by the other spider people.

- It’s a sinister 6 movie. Doctor octopus and electro are back. Misterio was not confirmed dead. The Scorpio was teased in homecoming. I think that 3 spideys is enough to fight 6 villains. I heard the sinister 6 members varies sometimes in the comics and the mcu is known for having teams will different members than the ones in the comics but we’ll see. I wasn’t at all counting on the vulture to comeback, but I found out yesterday about Adrian on the vampire movie trailer so now I’m counting on him. Liz gonna be so disappointed in you old man

- Some people are saying that mj or ned will die... I think the movie will be way to dark for that and it’s already crowded af with the 3 spideys and at least 2 confirmed villains. But then I thought about aunt may... people complain a lot about the absence of uncle Ben or how it was a plot given to tony but what if marvel switches it for aunt may?????? I’m not ready

- Other rumors include Ned being transformed in whatever he becomes in the comics.... but this also just seems way too much for the movie.

- At first I was thinking that Peter was gonna be transported to tobey’s world where he is fighting doctor oc and then andrew’s world were he is fighting electro but I think they will do like spiderverse and everything will happen in the mcu dimension

- Daredevil will appear, for court scenes

- Doctor strange will have more screentime than he did in ragnarok but not as much as tony in homecoming

- Peter’s identity reveal as Spider-Man will be shown to us handled by the school via a midtown high news will all the main classmates being interview and shit kagdiegfidgfkdjod can’t wait for flash’s reaction!!! I wish they’d show us Liz but I don’t think she will appear

- This movie better be long and I mean at least 2h30min long. AT LEAST

- Tom said this was the most ambitious solo superhero movie ever. In my opinion, that title presently belongs to Captain America civil war, so I’m freaking excited!!

- The movie will start with a villain scene like the previous ones. I love how the mcu spidey movies always start with the villain. Then, after the marvel logo, it will pick up right where the credits scene left of cause I think someone shared a photo of the set that had that lamp post

- Some people are saying he will get a new suit, but I’m not sure.

- The movie is set during Christmas. So, if the movie starts of where it left, then we will either see a time jump of some months, or the movie will progress fast. I don’t want a time jump cause I wanna see Peter deal with the consequences of not having a secret identity

- Which brings me to the next point: I don’t want the identity reveal to be erased. I don’t want time travel, mind erasing, illusions. I really want this identity reveal to be serious in his life. I also don’t want the movie to be mostly set on other realities. I want the characters to come to his. But I mean.... it’s called no way home so he will most likely spend a big part of the movie trying to get home aka his dimension......

- also... what does that mean for mj and ned’s screentime?? I want quality trio scenes

- Some rumors said kristen’s mj and Emma’s Gwen will be back and as much as I want Gwen back I don’t think this rumor is true... not even because she’s dead, cause electro will comeback with a completely new design so gwen might still be alive in that dimension but I don’t think they will be in the movie

- I think it would made sense to include prom and graduation in the last movie but idk since that would make the movie take place during a whole year since I expect it to begin where it left of in the summer vacation time and we know for sure about Christmas time scenes. Maybe this one won’t be the last mcu spidey movie... I’m praying

- I hope happy is in this! I loved his relationship with may and Peter

- It would make a lot of sense for pepper to appear but the actress is done with the mcu so..... this is the problem with many marvel movies that we have to accept. Some actors just don’t wanna participate in more than 1 movie and some have been doing this for so long that they don’t wanna do it anymore. It’s understandable but so frustrating sometimes 😭😭😭

- The people in the movie will be devided between team spidey and team misterio (also proven by set pics)

- I can totally see this "who side are you on" being played in a news montage. And mister Del Mar being interview cause he knows Peter and he’s been saved by Spider-Man

- I want this movie to be action packed. I imagine it like infinity war where stuff happens and the heroes react. Like a ton of action from start to finish.

- I watched a YouTube video about a leak from someone saw the storyboards. The beginning was very solid but then it got just too weird for me to believe. But they said Peter will go to the New York sanctum (?) in search of a spell to rever the identity thing and doctor strange doesn’t have such thing so he tells him to get a lawyer. This makes me believe that those photos already released of the trio, Peter, mj and Ned, are in this part of the movie. Maybe they arrive at the sanctum and search a lawyer on the computer. Tho idk if the location looks like a sanctum to me.... some people were thinking Hawkeye’s basement or something but I don’t think so

okay, first of all it's an amazing movie there's no doubt in that but there are just two tiny things that are bugging me and maybe it's just because it's a DC movie and my dad basically punched it into me to be a marvel fan since I was 10. so, i did not like those shots were the characters were either falling because of a punch or jumping several hundred meters. it just looks weird and unnatural in my opinion. and the other thing... could they give her any less clothing?!?! I know it's very comic accurate but c'mon

I fell asleep for a bit and even my dad fell asleep, which kinda says a lot cause he never falls asleep during a movie (only if it's really late, which it wasn't. we finished it before 11)

I have to admit I think my rating would be a lot higher if I went into this movie with a different mindset!! I feel sorry only giving it 4 stars :(

--I saw/read somewhere that her story could have work really well with a similar structure as CA:TFA and i agree. they were so concerned with making carol look powerful that they forgot to give her the fiery/badass personality we were promised. there was too much telling not enough showing

--again really solid movie i wish the villains were a bit more developed by tbh this is my fav iron man movie 

The Incredible Hulk 

--babes i dont even remember this movie its super cool they keep rossi around from it tho. hes literally the only thing the mcu kept from this monstrosity i would keep a similar plot structure but with mark ruffalo and a better script and tbh a better evrything. cannot tell you where to start with this jesus   

Thor 

--would have liked to see of the personality thor has later on in the timeline line- but it is interesting to think maybe he developed his humor and friendliness from his time on earth, idk this movie was kinda dull? i mean everything is dull compared to ragnarok and better compared to the dark world so idk how to fix that- maybe less of chris’s weird screaming- definitely less of chris’s screaming 

The Avengers 

--honestly love this movie-great set up to the team dynamics wouldn’t change anything. i love the nostalgia i get from watching this  

Iron Man 3 

--another movie i dont really remember but? this is the one with the bunny right? i feel like after iron man 1 the quality of tony’s enemies has gone down hill but i could watch rdj do anything so overall good experience 

Thor: The Dark World  

--besties what even happened in this movie like, jane babes what are we doing. loki is as amazing as ever tho. but like ‘oh no lokis dead again whatever are we going to do’ i would simply through the whole thing away- keeping jane going to asgard, loki being dramatic, and the relationships of the asgardian gang we get to see. also the reality stone thats pretty important 

CA:TWA 

--I. Love. This. Movie. my fav in the whole timeline. can you tell im a capt girl? literally the best wow won’t change a thing 

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 1

--so! much! fun! i love their family dynamics and tbh i love peter quill (we all did until pratt was a dick but) 

Guardians Vol. 2 

--I wasn’t obsessed with this movie but I cant quite figure out how i would change it- it was visually beautiful and emotionally beautiful but idk something felt off until the very end 

Age of Ultron 

--hot take- i really like this movie. i like how it completely changes the direction of the series and makes the mcu feel so real, like the friend ship seen- i would have like more clint so his character arc in endgame would have been impactful i dont hate the farm family but man i sure dont love them jesus but yea i love the dialogue and the only thing i would really change is clint’s involve meant. also helen cho deserved to have a bigger part in the mcu 

Ant-Man 

--super fun! i feel like this movie is great the way it is- a familiar super hero movie when the series was starting to get pretty dense with the lore wont change anything 

CA:CW 

--i read somewhere this movie was originally going to be steve and sam and the rest of the squad finding bucky and i was robbed. over time the mcu starting telling us how great steve and buckys relationship was instead of showing us. like men can show each other affection marvel that is a thing that happens but tbh i loved this movie- i would change a lot but i still really enjoyed it 

Spiderman: Homecoming 

--its so cute i love it but I miss andrew garfields peter- he felt more like the comics but besties i love this movie and tom i would just change how ton is characterized to be more comic actuate but also maybe not idk 

Doctor Strange

-- tilda swinton owns my heart and sole. but imma be honest i saw this in theaters 3 weeks after a horrid concussion and i remember none of it and thinking about it makes me sick (love head trauma) so imma just leave it how it is 

Black Panther 

--nothing. its art. 

Black Widow

--I’m writing this around an hour after I watched the movie and tbh I dont know how I feel about it. I dont love it yet but im not quite sure why yet- its most likely the pacing it felt a little rushed to me but idk yet ill be able to gather all my thoughts in a later post prolly 

Thor: Ragnarok 

-- to think i can even dream to improve on anything taika waititi is putting bad karma into the universe. that man is a genius. you can feel just how comfortable everyone is in their characters which makes for a great performance

Ant-Man and the Wasp 

--the breather we all needed after iw but i dont think anyone really loved it- no idea how to fix it but yknow it was just bland 

Avengers: Infinity War 

--I loved it. I loved it so much. obviously there are some bad things here and there but i would not change a thing 

Avengers: Endgame 

--I hated it. I hated it so much. obviously there are some good things here and there but i would not keep a thing.

--I dont know something was off for me with this one- again I think it was a pacign issues but I am not sure how I would change it

Am I sad thor didn't entirely get a self discovery arc? Hello yes. Am I still happy hes somewhat now living the fat of the land. Also hell yes. And these can coexist happily

I feel like every Thor movie is a journey of self-discovery tho fbsjdhsks Thor (2011) was about learning to be a good, selfless, non-impulsive person; The Dark World was learning that he doesn't want the throne; and then Ragnarok was about realizing he does want to be king and he needs to take control and protect his people. this is the only movie really marketed as self-discovery and it's the first one I feel like wasn't self-discovery which I think is kinda hilarious lol. It was so good tho like who needs Thor to discover himself when he's already discovered how to star in a fan-fucking-tastic movie?

ALSO YOU TOTALLY CAN IMAGINE THIS IN A REVERSE WAY, ANGEL AU (where reader is a reincarnation version fragment of Archangel but this one idea dump/establishment will be done for another day)

ALSO you can totally imagine it as deity AU, example that you are Zeus reincarnation but you awaken late and you need to stop Kronos for his rampage. Or even you are Odin and you need to stop Modern version Ragnarok this time. And ONF members could be tie with other Greek/Roman gods. This one will be fun should OH MY GIRL and B1A4 are tied in too. Its just idea I am not sure if I will expand this. But discussions are welcome

(There is no harm to think it as late Victorian or any other era you like, it is just I felt it is better to write in a familiar timeline as I dont want to do something wrong)

So below are just a few establishment for the AU, I am not gonna divide this into 2 scenarios so warning this is going to be long post.

It could be your bloodline awakened but you are not that qualified to ascend throne or because of your human blood you cannot hide yourself from angel/demon hunter so you have your own demon guardians

Lets say you are imagining on something big world building, again derived from the establishment for familiar au, it is definitely plausible for you to have other "candidates" and they have their demonic godparents/guardians as well

Example, should you go for inheritance war type, maybe you have a distant related sibling(s). It will be fun if you, have ONF members as your guardians while your sibling(s) have other kpop groups. Presumably to name, Dreamcatcher, ONEUS, ATEEZ, PENTAGON or ASTRO... in short its totally flexible.

To add, (and this is an idea i use to draft for fake pilot episode for a homework I worked), you could tally idols and number of idols you wanna integrate into the story to "Lesser Ley of Solomon", linking your bloodline towith King Solomon (*disclaimer, loosely based mythically). 72 demons, how many demons for 1 person is totally depend on you. Whether number of demons/demoness one have on their side equals to their power/ability (or even how many support they obtain) is up to you.

(and disclaimer I am not Christian this is just an idea dump so dont start cultural bashing. again this ia just an idea dump and I am not planning to touch sensitive issues yet.)

Ok enough world building, lets move to story wise.

You could be growing in orphanage it adds more mystery of your bloodline/heritage or similar to the familiar au, living with your family but your family later died on accident. Your parents bloodline combine making you are the perfect vessel for the reincarnation or maybe its a tradition like every 100 hundred years you will reincarnate or something. Again its flexible.

The moment you realize you are seeing things was you noticed similar aura of each person appeared on similar day. You might not get to see who is watching before you actually confronted to the air that you will contact the police

You might really go file a report but after several times the police be like dear there is no a single soul stalking you tho

then out of depressed, you accidentally get yourself into accident and your demon guardian shows up.

Or, because you started to able to see mythical creatures. Mythical creatures starts to notice your existence as well. And that somewhat gives off your location to other candidates through gossiping (should this is inheritance war type of story). Then your guardian show up to protect you when you are attacked by rival sibling’s demons.

Could be you visited some witch to get your ability to see mythical creatures covered up? Recommended by a friendly non related sibling or a friend you made/could be angel?

As this was different from summoning because they are guardians either assigned or volunteered. There is no need for you to provide them anything. And different from familiar au, there is no need to leave them in your home. To ensure your safety they must follow you 247

For now I would be thinking our boys actually guards you in a daily shift. Example, Hyojin on Monday, Changyoon on Tuesday, Seungjun on Wednesday, Jaeyoung on Thursday, Minkyun on Friday, Yuto on Saturday, Minseok on Sunday. (after Minseok departs, the other members rotate themselves to do the Sunday shift)

Since their shift are like that, you sometimes take chance to hangout with them. Eating out with Hyojin, Arcades with Yuto. mostly happens Sunday.

I am thinking it might be fun which your predecessors of the throne are very eager to get the throne, you are just trying to keep out of trouble. So in another way, demon ONFs get to experience the modern human world in a more chill way, it was not just guarding you, but also trying to experience human world. You could like summon them?/keep them by your side just like a normal sibling (Especially if you are the type that grow up alone without any siblings)'

Cues in ONF members actually understand your preference and remembers them very well. So you could not help relying on them as days pass by.

You are defo gonna get an ultimate rival and a friend that shares the same circumstances as you. Maybe the first rival sibling ends up being your friend after they know you are not intending to compete. But there are some rivals are more aggressive out there.

Could be you knew a few demon hunters but they know you meant no harm and then they just let you go

It will be more fun if existences of your kind triggers inner civil war between demon hunters/angels. Because there is also some distant “siblings” of yours wish to live their live quietly but some parties does not agree of letting your kind roaming free and feeling the bloodline must end.

Should you are the type to compete for your birthright (because you are too irritated of people keep coming to kill you non stop). They are happy to serve you till the end as you embracing your darker side. (Well I am not sure to give ONF members and reader loveline here so I will not talk about it for now)For this version, to explain Minseok’s departure , I would prefer that Minseok is back at hell to be your team’s spy, monitoring all political moves and changes.There are still bottom line morality, you are not really slaughtering your way through. But you do make sure the other party wont come to look for trouble anymore.They are going to train you to make sure you are ready. Fighting in physical and magic.That friendly sibling joins on training you too. 

You are definitely getting strict critiques from Hyojin and Seungjun during the beginning of your training.

My preferences, you get a friendly sibling(s) where their demon guardians end up being BFF with yours. (RTK and MIXNINE side effect, sorry)

Characterization should be the same as those I have established from the familiar au. Just the world building and some settings that are slightly different.

Hyojin is to keep the trait of his preference on human food

Changyoon is to keep his nagging trait 

Seungjun might help you with studies (not solidify him as a nerd but there is tendency that he will)

Jaeyoung is more to the body guard type

Minkyun defo gonna make friends with stray animals (either you house ends up becoming pet shelter, you becoming a foster mom for animals or you cannot keep any because you are allergic but mental supporting Minkyun is up to you)

Yuto definitely is the quiet but alert type same goes with Minseok

My preference stereotype for them would be the cinnamon rolls that would kill

Sometimes they might go.. “ I am a known demon back in hell but why I am doing this babysitting shit?” 

But then ends up enjoying stuffs human does lol

Changyoon enjoying TikTok lol, they got famous because of their contents. 

Defo gonna have movie night.

It will be funny if ONFs as demons themselves, got scared at the monsters/ghosts seen in horror movies. Bonus if you actually not scared of horror movies. And they are gonna question you out of disbelief like why the hell are you not scared? How can you not even flinch a single bit?

Reason : monsters and ghosts imagined by human beings do not look the same based on their knowledge.

They sometimes show themselves to other humans but rarely. Mostly just being the unseen follower behind you.

Cues in sometimes they forgot they are invisible, and picks up something from the mart and it gave people a fright. Example, Changyoon or Minkyun passes through a nice outfit and just took the hanged outfit out to place in front of himself, only to realise what he did after looking into a mirror nearby

Hmm my thoughts, Jaeyoung and Minseok would be the ones who would always their visiblity when you are out with them.

Hyojin and Changyoon would be the ones who prefer to keep their invisibility

Copying from familiar au, should you attend college or university, people might thought some members of demon!ONF are your boyfriend.

At first when they changed pattern starts to live close to you, they could  not get the concepts of moral of human being well. You will be guiding them. 

Could happen that you are so pissed off by someone at work and you could not help but ranting when you are at home. 

(Of course the demon!ONF on that day saw what happened but you did insist on them to not do anything)

They might go like : “ Should I kill them for you?”

You : “What?”

Random ONF member : “I can do it to make look like an accident you know.”

You : “OMG NO”

You : “You know maybe you can try to mend things when they are trying to frame me on purpose.”

Random ONF member : “Gotcha”

For the you are not competing scenario, they would be always keeping you safe from harm until you died. Should you get married, you let them participated as relatives/friends. Cues in they even help you take care of your child later on. It could be even fun if you child does not inherit bloodline but they can see ONF members

Welp of course for a third option scenario, would be you being a supporter the friendly sibling of yours. You just wanna stay safe so you acted like an advisor role for that candidate, helping them to gain power but not participating directly. Like I said its flexible

For this one I would like to write it as you are just trying to chill with your quiet life but demon hunter, angels and aggressive candidates keeping coming at you.

Also for this one I would link to the point of unfavorable and forgotten child part.

Less favourable child gets assigned with less powerful or less aggressive demons

So for this story ONF aren't high class fighter demons at all. But they do excel in magics.

In opposite, you could the one who knows how to fight maybe because you are quite rebellious in personality.

The moment you found out there 3 parties wanna kill you and innocent less aggressive candidates, you snapped.

Maybe some candidates heard of your friendly sibling name and they rushed over to seek help. End up bump into you instead.

You : what kind of dad is *your biological demon dad name*?"

Cues in Demon ONF keep calming you down because they are afraid that rumours of you belittling your demon father might make their king angry

But you have your attitude and no shit is given. Because you understand that your life your destiny is in your own hands.

You : I wanted a peaceful life alone but now I have to deal with Angels, hunters and a bunch of siblings that I never met , never knew about each other, who all wants me dead.

You : its not fair.

To end it once and for all, you suggested to the friendly sibling to find other candidates that do not have any intentions to compete for throne. Form allies with them so that later own they could get votes for the throne and the rest of the gang could get a decorative chill title while living a peaceful life

Also suggested to the sibling of yours make use of the allies to protect less aggressive candidates

It worked politically. As most of the candidates work on slaughtering others to cut secure birthright, your ideal and policy of strengthen inner then tackle threat gain more favour. Finally your sibling gets the throne.

And you and your other members of allies might get duke duchess or something

This version of story would have and need slot of mind games. Political games as well. (Will be interesting to write but there will waaaaaay too much characters to take note.)
