so now that i am caught up on all my blogs ( at this moment in time ), here's kind of the low down:

i won't be doing any starter calls on any blogs for a bit unless i'm like... massively in the zone. starters have been weirdly draining for me. i will be willing to write the starter if we plot some and it makes the most sense, though! just not down for a call and trying to churn them out.

i will be willing to like starter calls, but mostly on the solo blogs and then picky on the multi.

i will be trying to send more memes on all my blogs to up engagement without throwing more to-do on me. i won't plan to turn these into threads unless my partner says they'd like to or it seems like a really good opportunity.

when i have the energy, i'll reblog some memes myself to, of course, give things back! please don't continue these without prior discussion.

my solo blogs ( cat, xayah, and alina ) will have my most focus for engagement because i've been letting them go too quiet, need to get their queues going again, as well.

the multi will, of course, not be ignored, but i'll probably reblog less memes and be pickier about plotting and initiating threads. i have a lot in my queue, i probably should let that blog clean out a smidge.

so the tl;dr is i want to up my engagement but it won't be through starter calls.

...and also keep in mind despite this plan, i still have a job and commitments so this isn't me saying i'll be tons more active, but this is me going to try and interact/engage more with my dash when i am on rather than stare at drafts and feel drained lol.

It's time for one of my seasonal starter calls! I do not offer starter calls often, only a few times a year (usually once a season, thus the seasonal definition!), so if you would like a starter with Sonia, please like this post after you have read and understand the following guidelines for this call.

If you'd still like to thread but not at this time, no worries! I post memes occasionally and send memes when I see ones I think I can work with.

Mutuals only.

Starters will be several long paragraphs. I'm not a one liner or one paragraph writer, barring the occasional dashcomm and crack interactions. You don't need to match length but please keep in mind my writing style.

Multis please specify muse. My default choice for verses is a modern contemporary verse between high school and early-mid 20s, or a non-despair AU for Danganronpa canon and OC muses. If you have a historical muse, I will try to match your muse's time period unless you have specified that they have a modern verse. I do not offer fantasy or sci-fi verses at this time.

Starters will be worked into my current thread reply list. However, I am hoping to have all starters posted within a two week time frame.

And the most important: Do not ask for a starter if you do not intend to reply. I completely understand that replies can take time to get to, but having starters go months (or even years!) without a reply or just ignored entirely is one of my biggest pet peeves and the quickest way for me to not want to write with you further. If you have writer's block, please reach out to me so we can plot! But do not request a starter from me if you do not intend to reply. I don't expect quick turnarounds, but I also don't want to be waiting a month for you to see and reply to my starter. I'm hoping to start some more active threads!

This is mostly for my discord server but i'll post it here too, I guess! I'm hosting my first ever ‘event’ called Summer Snippets & Stories that will run through July. 

Every weekday, starting Monday, July 3rd and ending Friday, July 28th, I’ll be posting a word prompt a day. You can use any tense or participle of the day's word — so if the prompt is cloud, cloudy, or clouded would be perfectly acceptable, too.

That’s all you really need to know. The word will hopefully serve as a source of inspiration for a sentence or snippet that can be posted on whatever platform you prefer.

I love the flexibility of single word prompts, but I know that isn’t always enough to inspire someone — so I’ll also be posting sentence starters and story prompts that utilize that day's word that can hopefully provide you with more ideas or something to build off of. 

The goal with this is to get people in the writing spirit and provide something motivating enough to follow along with, but flexible enough that you can adapt it to your routine and the time you have available. If you write a sentence, or a paragraph, that’s perfectly fine —you still wrote something! 

If you get a one shot out of it, or a multi-chapter story, or something you want to expand on later when you have more time, that’s also great! You can share links in the appropriate channels on the discord server (where this is being primarily being hosted) and/or add your story to the Ao3 collection if it’s House of the Dragon related.

Hey besties, as you have likely noticed-—I haven't really been active. Truth be told, I had a pretty bad depressive low followed by some really bad burn out that left me unable to do anything more than a few scattered short things here and there and even those took a lot of like energy to push myself to do. I've been in a very frustrated and restless place with my blog in the aftermath of this.

My drafts are stressing me out. Knowing that I owe shit and can't remember with who or where we were in the thread is stressing me out and kind of hindering any attempts at coming back and trying to be active again. Coupled with the typical Tumblr RPC thing of more or less having to rebuild your blog engagement from the ground up again after taking more than a few days off is very energy-consuming.

With that being said, I want to come back and be active and consistent again. I refuse to give up on this hobby and I love my little bastard man still. However, I think I'm going to have to make some significant changes going forward to make that happen.

DRAFTS.

Unless we have a multi-note and plotted thread going, assume they have been dropped. It's just too much to try and track everything down and remember where I was going with a lighter thread months ago or whatever when I was replying to it initially. It's making me freeze up and so nothing is getting done. Following this post, I'm going to be working on fully culling my drafts and likes of any threads I owe.

ASK MEMES.

I am going to be leaning on these heavily. Not much is changing here as this is my usual. I just will likely not be posting any more starter calls or attempting plotting calls or liking them. I'm going to be 99.9% ask meme interaction orientated. Any plotted or long form shit is going to be naturally pursued when I'm interested or have ideas instead of trying to force myself for the sake of it or because I feel expected to as I have in the past.

NEW THREADS.

Here is where I'm going to lose some of you. I'm going to be a burst RPer more than I have been in the past. That means I am going to be relying on shorter note interactions that may get dropped pretty quickly. I'm going to rely on no pressure threads that we can just mention and build off of in new interactions. A quick but gradual development through shorter lifespan threads, if you will. Sort of like climbing a lot of stairs to a certain point of development instead of trying to climb one giant mountain of a single heavy plotted thread at a time.

Does this mean I'm not going to do ANY plotted point A to point B threads? Nah. I'm just going to be very, very selective with them and I'm going to need both of us to be at the same level of passion, ig. Plotted shit and long term shit takes A LOT for me to keep going and so I need both of us to be 100% interested in the story and each other's characters, etc. I think, at this time, I only have 2-3 of those threads/storylines active.

NEW FOLLOWERS, NEW INTERACTIONS.

I'm not going to close myself off completely to following new people or taking on new followers...but I am done more or less screaming at walls or low key begging people to stop being anxious or intimidated and interact with me. I'm mega anxious myself but I do the bare minimum of being the first to send a meme, to like interaction calls, etc. If I am doing this and being the one to make the first step and I still don't receive any sort of energy returned...I'm dipping. I don't have the time or patience anymore to play chicken with people or to coax them into threading with me and I've caused myself plenty of issues in the past by trying to stick it out in the hopes things change.

IN SUMMARY

I know this portrays me as that dreaded flake RPer who starts shit and never finishes anything. I am hoping dearly that building off these unfinished threads will compensate for that lack of long form threading. I am aware this is going to not track with some of you as it's not an RPing format that is compatible with everyone and I accept that and I totally get it if some of you stop reaching out or unfollow or whatever. However, I'm going to be doing what I need to do in order to actually BE here. I'd rather be a tad bit of a flake but still get something done and enjoy this hobby somewhat instead of just sitting here frozen and getting nothing done because I don't want to be seen as a flake or dissuade people from interacting with me further.

Expense, recast rant, grown-ass people behaving badly

‘Legit dolls are too expensive.’ I call BS, there are plenty of nice lower price dolls that everyone welcomes within this hobby. Most people also have a lot of respect and admiration for hobby skills and are happy to see cute dolls regardless of the cost of the base doll. Yes, it may take you a long damn time to save for a more expensive type or to have the collection of multiple dolls that you may crave but you can either wait and save or get a less expensive starter doll in the meantime and both are ok. Everyone plays at their level in life. I bought a house and a car that are reasonable for my income, I don’t make myself miserable always chasing something more because that’s a never-ending battle, there’s always something better, something more. I budget my extra money in a way that makes sense for my lifestyle, neither over-spending nor being a miser. I have established a reasonable savings and investment plan because I know unplanned expenses can be devastating and because it’s very satisfying to invest and watch my money earn more money. But all of that is just normal adulting stuff so my big point here is that it’s questionable that anyone but a younger teen wouldn’t have learned all of this too and behave accordingly - buying the legit dolls that are within their means also. So that’s why I’m really surprised to see grown-ass people acting crazy over insisting that they are entitled to these bootleg dolls and that others are big meanies for saying ��Hey, don’t post those here, don’t bring those in - they aren’t part of our hobby.’ Do they also think they can bring their fake Gucci bag to the luxury handbag forum, their rowboat to the yacht club and their KIA to the BMW road trip meets? Usually not, they know better, right?.

Many people are always going to have more dolls, more expensive or rare dolls, more traveling time and money to attend doll events and meets, maybe more stuff for their dolls, possibly more room and a better camera too, the list goes on. But if they are buying within their budget, then that’s the right level of spending for them. Mine is going to be different, maybe a lot more than some people but probably always far less than others so comparisons aren't really even useful. If something doesn’t fit my budget or my life, I need to work around it. Not try to unfairly game the system (buying cheap recasts so my collection is bigger and seems better) or take unethical shortcuts (cheating doll artists out of their fair earnings because I want their thing but won’t actually pay them for it so I go pay for a cheap stolen copy). That’s just bad and wrong thinking. 

And yet here we are, still dealing with having to push back on people who buy recast dolls after all this time. It hasn’t blown over or gotten any better. The hobby at large needs to take a better ‘no bootlegs’ stance and actually condemn this behavior. There’s no real neutral, the jury is in, recasts are a blight on the hobby, they make legit prices go up, drive hobby artists out of business or into a mode of releasing in a more limited and controllable way. The issue itself creates division among the members so if you tolerate them, if you were one who thought you could remain neutral, you see how they have now bloomed up like weeds into a multi-million dollar business for just one recast company, right? That overshadows almost all of the legit companies but maybe Volks and probably tops over the income of all the solo western bjd artists combined. This will only become worse if we continue to tolerate the recasts, as the western economy heads into recession, as doll artists continue to quit, restrict their production, raise their prices. 

It’s also a giant social pain in the ass. Friend gets a recast? Either the friendship is now fucked if you stand your ground and actively uphold your pro-artist only values or now you are called on to compromise those values, become recast neutral and to not criticize their doll, to be tolerant of their bootleg choice, and that’s both in your friendship and also within your hobby space. And of course they will talk about it because you are doll friends, right? So now a recast shares time and takes up space within your shared hobby. And since it’s now fine to have one, your friend will probably collect more (you notice they rarely stop at one, right?) and now the friend may attract another friend or 2 who may also have a shared recast sculpt, you get the picture. But most people are ‘too nice to say no’, and so that’s how they end up sliding down into a group full of recast owners if they don’t take a real pro-artist stand. Even worse if you are an artist yourself and you keep silent, if you don’t speak up and advocate for your fellow artists. We’ve even seen other artists buying recasts now. What level of diseased thinking is that? Bad enough to have these little bands of thieves lurking in their bootleg groups but when another artist joins in, that’s some next level ish.

Role-Play Rules/General Guideline

I normally only roleplay 'extreme' literate. That means at least over five sentences. (400 - 1000 words.) This, of course, doesn't always apply in certain cases. Sometimes a reply may be small, so be it. Feel free to DM me if you need an example of how I write. I will gladly provide you with an excerpt from a previous RP I have done, or even link you to my AO3 Account. Please have somewhat of a strong grasp of grammar. If you don't know the difference between their, there, and they're, as well as your, and you're, then we're probably not a good match. Punctuation is an exception since I myself sometimes struggle with this! I RP THIRD-PERSON POV ONLY!

I have zero triggers! This doesn't mean that I will do absolutely anything. This just means that if you have an idea and I like it/am interested, then I will accept it. Aka gore, incest, smut, LGBTQ+, Homophobia, different types of AU's, prostitution, alcoholism, drug abuse, self-harm, mpreg, etc. I should be okay with it. :) Note: I will not RP Canonverse/Canon-Divergence.

I have the right to refuse you as a partner or end the RP for any reason at any time. I am not obligated to finish it. Frankly, I don't owe you shit, just as you don't owe me anything. I mean this in the nicest way possible. I respect you as a person and I only wish the same in return. If you are unable to reply for a while, simply let me know! I will try to be understanding since real life always comes first!

DON'T SPAM! This is the fastest way to get yourself blocked. If I don't reply immediately, that probably means that I am busy. I consider myself very swift to reply to you, or at the very least let you know if I will be able to reply that day/week/month or not. If you haven't replied in over a week with no explanation I might simply nudge you. It'll possibly look like this: 'Hello, just wondering how you're doing?' 'Hey, are you going to reply this week/day?' 'Are you growing bored of the RP? Need me to do anything?' etc. Again, this is not a job. I do not get paid, so I have the right to relax. We both should. Roleplaying is how I wind down for the day/is a healthy distraction from everyday life. I'd assume it's similar for you. Take care of yourself first as I will ultimately do the same!

No God-modding, please. Unless you specifically ask, or I tell you that it's alright because I recognize that the scene calls for more action on either of our parts in order to move forward, then I will have absolutely none of that. A character can be strong, yes, but it's simply overkill if you won't allow another character to fight back, make them rich and famous and the other dirt poor... I hope you understand what I mean. RP should be 50/50 so that it is enjoyable for us both. (This rule can be exempt in certain circumstances/settings.)

Starters. This is a big one for some reason. I am willing to write a starter as long as we've spoken ahead first. I'd like to know the general plot so that I don't fuck up an idea you had/have or get the setting wrong. Again, if we message each other we should have no problems. I'd prefer if you asked first as I will always ask if unsure before writing my reply.

Where do I roleplay? Good question. I DO NOT roleplay in reblogs. I DO however roleplay on sites like Discord, Chatzy, or on Tumblr in DM’s, though my favourite is most definitely Discord.

Characters/Ships. I actually consider myself a multi-shipper and thus I tend to be generally okay with any pairing. Some examples of my favourites are Jean x Eren, Erwin x Levi, Floch x Eren, Zeke x Eren, Zeke x Levi, Hanji x Levi, etc. I don’t mind if there are ships within the RP. I actually love it when there’s things like an ex-boyfriend, one is still married, cheating, etc. It gives it some flavour. ;)

Plot! Plot is very important to me. Although I do write smut from time to time, I'd much rather RP plot with a fair bit of smut rather than purely NSFW. That simply isn't as enjoyable to me as a generally nonsexual person even though what I write on AO3 seems to be hypersexual at first glance. I know how to write it- have written it well as far as I've been told -so I will initiate it from time to time if the mood is right. Friends to lovers, enemies to lovers, strangers to friends to lovers... Let's just say I eat that shit up. Bring on the AU's!

Finally, the last thing I can think of at the moment besides the whole 'I hope you understand and accept' deal, is if you have any more questions, my DM’s are always open! preferred comms — Depends! I use Tumblr IM until I figure out if I'm actually going to talk to the person. I have, way too many times, added someone to Discord and later removed them when they didn't seem interested in talking. So I stick to Tumblr IMs for a while, then switch to Discord.

name of muse — I'm a multi-muse, so that's a list that's getting a little long. Primary canon muses are Erenville and A'aba Tia. Original characters are A'atahni Tia, Liun'a Jakkaya and X'kijin Lyzej—who is sometimes a Warrior of Light, depending.

experience in RP — I've been role playing since I was... 9? Might have been a bit earlier. Started in an old Inuyasha chatroom before upgrading to forums where I got used to routinely writing 800+ word replies, since it was a requirement in some of those RPs. Moved to Tumblr in... 2014, I think? Been here off and on since.

best experiences — I would hesitate to call anything the best, but probably one of my best experiences would be role playing as of late. I came back to Tumblr with, initially, the intent to write only with existing friends. Instead, I met two people that have become such good friends, that have really rekindled a lot of the love for RP that I used to have. Meeting two people completely by chance and having that friendship extend beyond RP, beyond the ships we share, into playing games, watching movies, partaking of things the others like is really nice and not as common as I feel it used to be.

pet peeves / dealbreakers — Negativity and aesthetics are the obvious ones, as those are in my rules. Apart from that, I hate it when people are passive in their interactions and assume my characters will blindly chase after them. If I receive a starter where a character is sitting quietly, not speaking to anyone, I didn't get a starter. I got exposition so that I could come up with a situation and write a starter for someone who didn't want to write one.

muse preference ( fluff, angst, smut ) — I don't really write smut, but I love fluff and angst. Where angst is concerned, I prefer something along the lines of hurt/comfort, not just angst. I find angst and only angst to be a bit overwhelming sometimes.

plot or memes — Either! I like to plot things; I also like winging it. I can usually do either, even for muses that I don't know. The big thing for me is that threads still need to have substance. If things don't feel like they have direction or devolves into pointless small talk, I get bored.

long or short replies — I have a preference for multi-para replies. I feel like anyone following me should know this, just based on the replies that I do. Short replies don't last long for me. I have my fun with them and stop replying once they begin to bore me. I consider them good for testing the waters, but not much else.

best time to write — Late nights. I struggle with being able to focus, so late nights being slower with less going on is probably why I find it easiest to write when it's late. I tend to get more done quicker.

are you like your muse — I like to think most people have something in common with their muses. I definitely share bits and pieces with mine, like X'kijin and I are both chronic nappers. Liun'a puts on a strong front because of trust issues. A'aba is a little on the obnoxious side. Nok'to is commonly referred to as "the anxiety cat". So on and so forth.

Ⅰ. This blog will be on low activity for a while until I get myself together, but even then, activity will remain sporadic but there. I have other obligations in life I'll attend to that are way more important to me than a fun hobby. However, you're free to send asks and bug Gojo as much as you want to.

Ⅱ. I have pretty bad eyesight, and even though I wear glasses I can't see very well. Please make sure that your icons are no smaller than 80x80 and not heavy with decorations. I understand having pretty aesthetics and such, but if it hinders my ability to perceive what's going on in your icon, it'll give me a headache.

Ⅲ. Do not interact with me if you ship any of the students with Gojo. I don't entertain Stu.dentxTea.cher relationships. On that topic, if you're a general asshole who can't respect people as a whole, just don't interact. And again, if you are a minor do not follow me, this blog is not for you. Personal blogs are welcomed to reblog images/gifs from me, but do not like/reblog any roleplay threads, asks, or just anything roleplay related. Regarding these rules, I'm just going to block you and curate my space for me.

Ⅳ. Communication is important. This includes wanting to plot, RP, ship, talk, anything. I know the first 3 rules are kinda harsh and such, but I like to think I'm a chill person.

Ⅴ. I will only interact with people who are mutuals. Anons are fine, but I don't really enjoy role-playing through that method. Don't like any starter call posts, or shipping call posts unless we're mutuals.

Ⅵ. I don't know if people still do passwords, but I don't send those in. I do my best to remember everyone's rules but at the end of the day, I'm human and forgetful. As such, if you need to soft block, feel free to otherwise approach me to be wary of something I've done that makes you uncomfortable and I'll try to correct myself.

Ⅶ. No god-modding in fights please. Talk to me first if you have an idea, or if your muse is planning on doing something to gravely wound mine.

Ⅷ. Don't force ships on me as well. I'm fine letting things slowly burn, or if we both ship something then talk to me about it. I understand that you and your muse would be excited to have Gojo as a partner/family member, but unless its pre-established and discussed, I'm just not going to be as on-board with the excitement. I will stress that communication is important and the key to fun RPs and such.

Ⅸ. Remember the basics such as: Muse and Mun aren't synonymous. Gojo's beliefs and morals may not always line up with the things that I believe in or consider right. However, as a writer, it's my belief that we are able to open our minds and explore different ways of thinking. Don't be an asshole; don't be rude. Don't take Gojo saying something blunt as me disliking your muse and all that stuff.
