So I’m rewatching Supergirl (I haven’t seen it in awhile) and I’m just wondering how long I have to put up with seeing Blake Jenner’s ugly ass face

Welcome.
Many of you may know me as Spoopercorp if you're a senior citizen in the Supercorp fandom.
Others may be familiar with Local_Asshole on AO3 or Local-Asshole on FF, the latter of which I will no longer post fanmade works on. These are virtual spaces where I shared my Supercorp fanfiction like Desolate Scars, Eclipse, Limbo, and Voices when I was a teenager—naturally, when I read my previous work during a time I was angsty and hormonal I CRINGE because I feel emotionally mature now comparatively.
I've reignited the passion I once had for writing in the midst of a damning 9 to 5 corporate America job after graduation. Unfortunately, this hyperfixation rediscovery was made after Supergirl ended in 2021, where its online fandom activity is currently calm. Despite that, I hope the remaining fans who still froth at the mouth for Lena Luthor and Kara Danvers, and who still love and support Katie McGrath and Melissa Benoist, stumble upon this post and wait to see a Supercorp fanfic I'm almost 100,000 words in and eager to share.
Please also follow me on Twitter at Spoopercorp of course, the profile is a work in progress.
Also, I feel like I should explain my sudden absence in the Supercorp fandom; simply put, I wanted to focus on my studies, but also some users were loudly toxic and I couldn't quite stand it anymore. Even after blocking, it felt like their negativity and mean behaviors bled out within the fandom and to other fandoms and ships. BUT HYPERFIXATION PREVAILS YET AGAIN.

iirc glee had a billy joel episode, or at least did several covers of his songs. do you have an opinion on that?
I've seen the episode, which is called Movin' Out, at least four times. I've also seen all the covers in other episodes. This took forever to answer because I decided to go back and watch some of these to refresh to my memory.
I appreciate that they did it. It was nice to see him get the recognition. Mr. Schue using him for the lesson was a fun idea, I wish the writers knew a bit more about him though because there were missed opportunities! I could have done it better. My overall opinion is that's underwhelming. I want it to be better than it is.
The covers themselves are......... mostly not good. The first time they did Piano Man, when Mr. Schue sang it with Neil Patrick Harris, it was diegetic, the two of them singing it together in a bar, so they were able to do the cut by just having them not finish the song, which was really good. I thought that one worked pretty well!
Puck's Only the Good Die Young is... fine. It's not great but it's fine. It's fit in the episode is a little tenuous but whatever. I enjoy the line about only doing songs by Jewish artists that precedes the cover. There are worse covers in that episode.
The Warblers doing Uptown Girl was good! It would have been even better if Glee could resist the urge to Glee it up so much and it sounded more like a boys' a cappella group would in real life but it was really close to that and it was fun.
New York State of Mind is a mixed bag. They did really well in some parts and not as well in others. Marley held her own but Rachel definitely did better. I wonder if Rachel's at least was an homage to Barbra Streissand's cover, but it's not too on-the-nose obvious if it is. Rachel singing New York State of Mind as a new student at NYADA is hilarious on a Watsonian level, like it would be such a cliche, but I think on a Doylist level it's an excellent choice. You know, it's a jukebox musical, she's excited to be in New York where she's been desperately working to get for the whole show up to this point. It's a good choice. I'm not convinced Lea Michelle and Melissa Benoist couldn't have hit some of the notes that get sidestepped, I think it was just the arrangement, but what do I know.
The Longest Time was okay. I think it would have been better if, again, it didn't Glee it up so much, but it's a much bigger problem here than with Uptown Girl. It's an "unplugged" song during a power outage and I wish they let it sound more like that! Let it be more acoustic and rougher sounding! It's supposed to be like that anyway. Good use of that song but just a failure to execute. I also can't stand the Glee style of dancing, especially by that point in the show, and I feel like it doesn't fit which makes me like it even less, but I'm trying to judge this more on the use of the songs and not inherent Glee problems.
My biggest complaint about the covers in Movin' Out is the cuts are just so bad. I know they had to cut them for time but they could have done it better! It's really jarring! The actual singing is also pretty meh. I like some more than others but I don't love any of them.
I have a certain fondness for Ryder's An Innocent Man. It's musically just okay but I enjoy how it's used. I don't think he really gets those notes though. 75-year-old Billy Joel is like "pray for me to hit the high note" and then kills it every time. That kid could do better.
I hate the use of Honesty, it's so weird, and I also don't like the cover. Sorry Artie.
I don't love the cover of Just the Way You Are but also it's Just the Way You Are. What can I say. Not the worst use of it in the plot though.
I hate the cover of Movin' Out. I don't really enjoy the montage thing either but it's fine I guess. It's weird because I would think Darren Criss would be able to do Billy Joel but I don't like any of his parts in this episode.
Jake singing My Life while also asking Marley for a second chance is kind of funny. I also remember that one being meh to fine.
It's hilarious that Blaine says "sing along if you know it" about Piano Man to a crowd in a piano restaurant in New York City. That place probably needs a "no Piano Man" sign like the sign in the guitar store in Wayne's World. Also as a side note if they could have gotten a Billy Joel cameo that would be the scene to do it; he should have been like "no not this song again" and stormed out. OR they could have had him correct Blaine because the sheet music is wrong (in real life that was with Just the Way You Are but creative license is allowed).
Ending on You May Be Right was a solid choice but I hate their version of it. It's terrible.
The choice of songs is... fine? I could probably make a better track list for a Billy Joel episode if you gave me some time, but they picked a decent mix of hits I guess, especially considering which ones they'd already used (of course they repeated Piano Man. of course.) I would like to see Blaine try Summer, Highland Falls, I think. Ultimately I think the biggest problem with Movin' Out is that Glee had declined so much by season 5. A Billy Joel episode in season 2 or 3 would probably have been better. There was just more care put into the music back then.
By the way, Billy Joel gave permission for Glee to use his songs but said he'd never seen the show because he only watches the History Channel.

Top 5 Supergirl episodes!
oh I love this question!
Midvale (season 3, episode 6)- the Young Kara and Alex episode, featuring actresses who perfectly embody younger versions of Melissa Benoist and Chyler Leigh as they work together to solve a mystery and end up bonding/becoming closer. Always great to watch, also loved Kenny, glad they brought him back post-Crisis.
Falling (season 1, episode 16)- the Red Kryptonite episode, featuring fantastic acting from Melissa and impact for the rest of the season in how it was resolved. I love season 1 and could easily pick any of the episodes from it (Livewire, For the Girl Who Has Everything, Solitude, Human For a Day, Red-Faced, Manhunter, etc.... literally this whole list could be episodes from season 1) but I think this one is the best.
The Adventures of Supergirl (season 2, episode 1)- first of all, named after the great Sterling Gates comic series tying into the show that everyone should read. Second, this episode features the first appearance of Superman properly in this universe, and I loved seeing him and Kara on-screen together. I didn't love Kara randomly breaking up with James in this episode, but I think everything else was very good.
Legion of Super-Heroes/The Bottle Episode (tie, season 3 episode 10 and season 5 episode 10 respectively)- because I couldn't choose! the first one features Brainy's first appearance and him bonding with Kara inside her mind, and the second features him becoming uninhibited and a beautiful scene with him and Kara where she finds out about his painful past and comforts him, leading to the aforementioned becoming uninhibited and getting a new costume/green skin and blond hair as he's supposed to look. I love Brainy, he's (for most part) my favorite character in the series from when he appears onward, and I love how he's established as a character and how he develops/evolves, and these episodes feature both of those things.
The House of L (season 4, episode 16) the "it was Lex Luthor (insert music note emojis) All Along" episode, it's just really well-done and I like all the flashbacks here, Red Daughter as a character was also established well, she gets a lot of great moments and Melissa again was great as this alternate version of Kara. Jon Cryer surprised a lot of people as Lex and while I think he might have appeared too much later on, he's great here too.
Honorable mentions: Again like half of season 1, The Martian Chronicles, City of Lost Children, Resist, a good chunk of season 3, The American Alien, Ahimsa, Bunker Hill, Stand and Deliver, Tremors, Welcome Back, Kara!, Blind Spots

I saw a tweet talking about Henry Cavill’s Superman and Melissa Benoist’s Supergirl. The general gist was that Benoist’s Supergirl acted more like Superman and Cavill’s Superman acted more like Supergirl, so now I want to expand on that.
First I have to clear a massive misconception, this being that Supergirl is basically just a genderbent Superman. She’s not, she’s vastly different.
Superman was somebody who grew up on Earth, and yes, he knew he was different than everybody else and it did weigh on him, however the difference is despite being an alien, he was raised here. He doesn’t remember Krypton, he was raised on Earth and therefore is essentially a superpowered human. He knows how Earth works, he knows the language, he knows the unspoken rules about everything and he can live an essentially normal life. Again, since he is super-powered, he does struggle with dual identities and hiding his powers from others, along with feeling bad when he has to keep his other life a secret, but he manages to overcome this, and is the most nice, hopeful person on Earth.
Supergirl, she’s a bit darker. Supergirl was raised on Krypton, all she knew was Krypton. She was already a teenager when she watched her entire planet and everybody on it die, and despite leaving at the same time as Clark she doesn’t catch up to him. For her, Krypton exploded a week ago, and it’s still fresh in her mind because of this. Because of this, when she comes to Earth, she’s more depressed. They’re both aliens but she’s more alien, she doesn’t know the history, culture or lifestyle of Earth, and it’s hard to relearn an entire way of life. Even though she does eventually settle in, the fact is she still is in a strange new world and her “younger” cousin is completely foreign to her. It must hurt seeing the only other person in the universe who could possibly understand you, living completely different life. Because of all this, as heroic and good as she is, she’s rather edgy and miserable.
Now about the show and film….
In Man of Steel, despite being raised on Earth like usual, Clark still acts like an alien and feels isolated from everybody, like he doesn’t belong. It’s fine for Clark to feel unlike others, he IS unlike others, but for him to act like he doesn’t know how Earth works is odd. He’s also generally much darker. He lashes out and destroys a truck because the driver was rude, he watches his Dad die because he doesn’t want his son to risk his cover, he kills Zod and destroys plenty of buildings. He’s generally unstable and acts like he’s new to Earth and doesn’t understand how things work, and lashes out because he can’t use his powers. To me, this sounds way closer to Kara than to Clark. I could see Kara lashing out and destroying a truck, I can’t see Clark doing that. I can see her destroying buildings and I can see her killing Zod if it came down to it. I cannot see Clark doing that.
Now in the Supergirl show, from what I’ve seen Kara seems to be rather hopeful and optimistic. She’s confident, she stands tall and she is basically the main hero. That’s mostly due to the copyright, so they just couldn’t get Superman meaning she was basically the Arrowverse’s “Superman” which makes sense because again… she acts more like Superman than Supergirl. Yes, Supergirl can be optimistic and hopeful, and a shining star for humanity however that’s not her main traits, that’s Clark’s. She barely feels alien in this universe and it pisses me off to no end, knowing that if they literally swapped roles it could’ve worked.
Make a show about Superman, that eventually culminates in a small Justice League kind of. (Then again there are plenty of Superman shows.) Make a film about a recently arrived Kara, who is unstable, lashes out, and becomes a hero to stop Zod before making the tough call to kill him.
Though, after all this honestly… Man of Steel still sucks and having the character be switched to Kara would only fix a few problems, a lot of them are just unfixable unfortunately.

Kara and Lena at the Mines of Moria
The fanart is a little gift for the awesome @mike-wachowski
Supercorp Lord of the Rings AU
She arrives in the night.
Kara witnesses her arrival from above, where she's perched on the marble balustrade in the courtyard.
She can't sleep. Hasn't been able to sleep in a while, not since Astra bequeathed the Ring to her.
Walking helps. Rivendell is beautiful, more beautiful than she remembers, but then again she hasn't been here in years, since she first awoke from her long sleep.
The ancient trees forming a canopy above the house of M'yrnn stand as tall and resilient as they ever have. When she touches their rough bark and speaks to them like she does to the trees at home in Midvale, it almost seems as if they speak back, in the creaking of hundred-year-old branches and the swaying whispers of leaves.
It's with the whispering of the leaves that the woman arrives. Accompanied by the beating of hooves, loud in the silence of the night.
She's not the first to come. Others have been arriving for the Council since the day before yesterday, but she is the only one who's arrived this late at night. Kara immediately knows she must have come from far away. The long weariness of their journey is apparent in her companions' faces. But not in hers.
The lady emerges from the blue-black darkness of the night like a beacon, like a star lighting up the night sky, her pale figure astride her white horse almost glowing in the darkness.
The line of her spine is straight and unbowed by fatigue, even though the other young woman attending to her looks visibly tired. Her eyes are sharp, Kara can see even from a distance. But her hand is gracious and soft as she offers it to M'yrnn who greets her at the foot of the steps.
She's speaking to M'yrnn, undoubtedly the leader of this night-borne group. Kara creeps closer, wanting to hear her voice. They're too far away for Kara to hear her words, but she hears her voice, low and melodious, like flowing water.

My #1 post of 2022
Her fingertips are playing with the necklace emerging from her collar. Kara's eyes catch there and stick.
“I seem to have something of yours once again,” Lena says, noticing the line of her gaze. “I think it might be time to return it.”
Her hand reaches up to the clasp at her nape but Kara gets there first, trapping Lena's fingers against the side of her neck, twining them with her own.
She shakes her head. “Some things are yours to keep.”
Their gazes meet, eyelashes fluttering in the swift sea breeze.
Lena's eyes are cautious. “Even when I love them?”
“Yes.”
(They're not talking about a necklace. They've never really been talking about a necklace, Kara knows. All that's left is to find out whether Lena does, too.)
The tips of Lena's fingers flutter anxiously against the back of Kara's hand. “Even when I love them too much?”
She takes a step closer, their hips meeting. “Especially then.”
Lena's jaw works as she swallows. Her voice is nothing more than a whisper on the wind. “How long?” she asks, soft and vulnerable. “How long will they be mine?”
Her fingers find Lena's free hand beneath the cuff of her sweater. She brings them both up, cups them in her own, presses them between Lena's heart and her own in reiteration of a promise six years in the making.
“Always."
I received too much damage from @searidings' fic after, and I just had to draw that scene. So here, share my suffering. (just kidding, it's wonderful!)

Supercorp and Danson get horny
Arrowverse Horny: Supergirl clapped by Lena Luthor.
Melissa Benoist as Kara Zor-El/Kara Danvers/Supergirl
Katie Mcgrath as Lena Luthor
Chyler Leigh as Alex Danvers
Azie Tesfai as Kelly Olson
(On a balcony)
(Supergirl is gazing at the view of National City, her cape is flowing in the air, looking at the city)
(Then Lena Luthor (the daughter of the late Elizabeth Welsh, the adopted daughter of Lillian Luthor, and the half-sister of Lex Luthor) sneaks up behind Supergirl so quietly that she bypasses Supergirl's super hearing, and Lena says her eyes on Supergirl's big, rounded bubble butt, and claps both of Kara's buttocks and Supergirl blushes and turns around)
Supergirl: Hi, Lena, I didn't sense you coming and clapping my butt cheeks.
Lena Luthor: (smirks) I can be as quiet as a cat as I want to be, which makes me invisible to your super-hearing, Kara.
(Supergirl turns around and pulls Lena in, putting her hands on Lena's butt cheeks)
Supergirl: (smirks) Well, you owe me a kiss for that.
(Lena wraps around her arms Kara and they lean in and kiss)
Supergirl and Lena: (moaning with locking lips, kissing, and making out) Mmmmmmmmmmmm.
(Lena pulls away slightly, breathing heavily)
Lena Luthor: You always know how to make my heart race, Kara.
Supergirl: And you always know how to make me feel invincible, Lena.
(They continue their passionate kissing, their hands roaming each other's bodies, their desire for each other growing stronger with each passing moment)
(Later, they end up in Lena's penthouse, continuing their intimate moments, lost in each other's embrace)
Supergirl: (whispers) I want you, Lena. I want all of you.
Lena Luthor: (breathless) Take me, Kara. I'm yours.
(And as they give in to their desires, the passion between them reaches new heights, igniting a fire that can never be extinguished)
(And in that moment, Supergirl and Lena Luthor become more than just superheroes and allies, they become lovers, destined to be together forever)
(Supergirl and Lena continue kissing passionately, their hands roaming each other's bodies)
Supergirl: (breathless) God, Lena, you drive me crazy.
Lena Luthor: (smirking) You're not so bad yourself, Supergirl.
(Suddenly, they hear a noise in the distance and quickly break apart)
Supergirl: Duty calls. But meet me tonight, at the same place?
Lena Luthor: (nodding). I'll be counting down the minutes.
(Supergirl gives Lena one last quick kiss before flying off into the city, leaving Lena smiling and feeling giddy)
Lena Luthor: (to herself) Who knew being bad could feel so good?
(End scene with Lena looking lustfully at the now empty balcony)
(And so, the love affair between Supergirl and Lena Luthor continued, hidden from the rest of the world but burning brightly in their hearts. Their connection, both physical and emotional, only grew stronger with each passing day, solidifying their bond as they faced the challenges of being heroes and lovers in a world that may not understand their unconventional relationship. But for Supergirl and Lena Luthor, nothing could come between them, not even the weight of their responsibilities and secrets. And as they found solace in each other's arms, they knew that they were meant to be together, now and forever)
(Supergirl's Adopted Lesbian Sister Alex Danvers saw what Kara and Lena were doing, and is starting to have horny thoughts about doing horny things with her wife Kelly Olson, and she has a mischievous smirk on her face, thinking about sneaking up behind Kelly and clap her bubble butt cheeks)
(As Alex makes her way towards Kelly, she can't help but feel a rush of excitement at the thought of surprising her wife in such a playful and intimate way. Kelly, completely unaware of Alex's presence, is standing by the window, lost in thought)
(Alex sneaks up behind Kelly, her heart pounding with anticipation, and without warning, she claps Kelly's butt cheeks, causing Kelly to jump in surprise)
Kelly Olson: (laughs) Alex, you scared me!
Alex Danvers: (smirks) Did I, now?
(Kelly turns around and playfully swats at Alex, a playful smile on her face)
Kelly Olson: You're always up to something, aren't you?
Alex Danvers: Guilty as charged. But I have to admit, I love seeing that smile on your face.
(Kelly pulls Alex in for a kiss, their love and passion for each other evident in the way they embrace)
Kelly Olson: I love you, Alex. You always know how to make me laugh.
Alex Danvers: And you always know how to make me feel complete. I'm grateful for you, Kelly.
(And as they share a tender moment, their love for each other shines brightly, reminding them of the bond they share and the happiness they bring each other)
(End scene with Alex and Kelly locked in a loving embrace, their hearts full of love and contentment)
(The Arrowverse is filled with love and passion, with relationships that defy the odds and bring out the best in each other. Despite the challenges they face, the heroes of the Arrowverse find solace and strength in the arms of their loved ones, proving that love knows no boundaries and can conquer all)
(And so, the Arrowverse continues to be a place where love, desire, and passion intertwine, creating relationships that are as powerful as they are beautiful. Whether it's Supergirl and Lena Luthor's forbidden love or Alex Danvers and Kelly Olson's playful affection, the Arrowverse showcases a variety of relationships that explore the depths of love and desire in all its forms. As these heroes navigate their dual lives as saviors and lovers, they prove that even in the face of danger and darkness, love will always prevail)
(The screen fades to black, leaving the audience with a sense of warmth and hope as they witness the strength of love in the Arrowverse)
(End of Arrowverse Horny: Supergirl clapped by Lena Luthor)

It’s so corny but I would like to have dinner at sardi’s…. I was in the phone with my mother today while I was standing out front, and I saw the Melissa Benoist caricature which they had made when she was doing Beautiful like a gazillion years ago. Those were my first two ticket splurges ($110-ish for a from mezzanine seat….at the beginning of her run, and then again at the end). Anyways, the menu seems kind of boring, but you only really do it once, probably.

Nuovo post su Atom Heart Magazine
Nuovo post pubblicato su https://www.atomheartmagazine.com/supergirl-woman-of-tomorrow-novita-sul-film-dcu/
Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow - Novità sul Film DCU
Nel nuovo universo cinematografico della DC Comics, Supergirl sta per avere il suo momento sul grande schermo con “Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow“. Ecco le prime informazioni ufficiali sul progetto.
Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow – Sceneggiatura
Secondo The Hollywood Reporter, la sceneggiatura dello stand-alone Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow sarà curata da Ana Nogueira, un’attrice e sceneggiatrice nota per il suo lavoro in serie come “The Vampire Diaries” e “The Michael J. Fox Show“. Nogueira è anche coinvolta nell’adattamento del romanzo breve di Alice Sola Kim, “Mothers, Lock Up Your Daughters“.
Regia e cast
Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow – Contesto Narrativo

Melissa Benoist literally has anisocoria from her ex abusing her so violently that her iris tore and left her pupils two different sizes, but you fucking vultures really want to accuse her of making this up because you've taken this trial as an excuse to never believe women ever again.
But sure. You're definitely not virulent misogynists or anything. Right.

If I see one more comparrison between Melissa Benoist and Amber Heard I am going to SNAP
Amber Heard is a disgrace to the #metoo movent with her lies, she has been proven to have lied, admitted to it in court, not to mention all the surveillance footage and whiteness proving she lied? Her story is constantly changing and it sickens me to my core that people are comparing her to Melissa Benoist.
Amber lying about abuse is so horrible, and then people comparing her to Melissa? Someone who is genuine, who is not just trying to get money but spread courage to people everywhere suffering from IPV.
Melissa was so brave to make that video and I stand with her completely! I only hope that she gets all the support she deserves.

so i still can't believe that this beautiful, funny, kind creature has gone through all of this. sounds so surreal. and all that time she just kept smiling and pretending everything's okay, when it wasn't. she's so strong and i'm so proud of her for sharing her story. i stand with mel, always! <3
