LISTEN. this shit is blowing up, ngl i didn't expect it to, but it's one of my fav tropes ( obvi ) and i'm loving how it's shaping up. pt. 2 is gonna revolve around the reader trusting steve a lil more, thinking maybe he isn't like the other shitty asshole jocks, but something is gonna come up with tommy and blow shit up 😬 and then a lil upside down times. MUAHAHAH. and here's a lil treat just cos ily ♥️

Sucking in a breath and holding it heavy in his lungs like plunging into cold water, Steve braced himself. Lips twisted, fixed and mean, he didn’t hesitate. Not for one second. Because he'd done this before and he'd do it again. For you.

A blunt thwack! split the air as the nail-filled bat held tight in Steve's fists connected with the head of the monster towering over you and it screeched something horrible. A terrible, pained and angry sound. One you prayed you’d forget but wouldn’t.

“You want some more, huh?? C’mon. C’mon, asshole!” the boy huffed with effort as he gave a muscled pull, dislodging the bat and pulling an awful howl from the demodog that tore the air in two. Rearing on its back legs it loosed a bloodcurdling scream, saw-toothed head shaking, petals splayed and hungry. Lethal.

Poly!dads Hawk and Demetri who get talked into playing dress up with their three kids.

Cue all the children giggling because their youngest twin is smearing mama's lipstick all over Hawk's lips as he tries to sit still, but the other twin is bouncing in his lap trying to paint his nails. Their oldest is in the middle of trying to find a "knightly" color to paint Demetri's nails. When the paint has to dry, the kids run off to get their costumes and Hawk asks why they agreed to do this and Demetri just shrugs.

Next thing they know, the kids are coming back with their dog dressed up in a dress that 1) wasn't made for dogs and 2) is too big for him. Hawk is saddened to see his vicious killer of a dog rendered to this, but at least Diablo loves the kids enough to let them dress him up in the first place.

Hawk is handed a big green shirt that somehow makes him a dragon and strap Demetri up to be a knight with a helmet that's too small and a sword. Meanwhile the kids are pressed up as royalty with little crowns and scepters. They start prancing around, pushing Hawk out of the room saying "Daddy, go" and "not yet, not yet." They want him to come in at a certain time.

Their daughter, the youngest, knights Dada and makes him an official knight even though she's only copying something she saw in a movie and has no idea what it means. She giggles and Demetri plays along, the too-small helmet sitting on top of his head. The children run around and laugh with celebration. They're so excited.

The the big bad dragon comes in and they start screaming. They hide behind the knight and Hawk actually hares it. He stops and looks at his kids like "You have to fight me too. I'm not raising you kids to be pu-" Demetri cuts him with a looks "pansies."

Demetri agrees for the most part, but doesn't like where this is going. Next thing he knows, they're al "fighting" Hawk with their foam swords and scepters. When Dem said he wanted to raise independent kids, this wasn't exactly what he meant.

Hawk pretends to surrender and then the kids are trying to pry the green shirt they made him wear off of him. They have their own story their going for and Daddy and Dada must follow it. So Hawk gets it off and he gets a crown slapped onto his head.

"I'm a king now?" The kids just nod at him and he goes with it.

Somehow him being a king translates to the knight falling in love with him as the kids push them together and try to make them kiss. Literal toddlers trying to tell a story as they push theor daddies to the brink. Hawk just gives in and gives Demetri a kiss on the cheek, leaving the biggest smooch mark on him thanks to their kids masterful makeup skills.

Reader literally comes home to find the living room in shambles, her husbands a mess, and the kids covered in makeup. All she did was go out for a girls day with her friends and she comes home to this. However, she can't be mad when their oldest announces that the queen has come home and they give her a crown too. She ends up on the floor with them and playing along.

Idk what this is, I just like the idea that their kids have a chest full of dress up stuff and they get to be whatever they want whenever they want.

They are bootiful, and I wuv dem, and gods damnit I need to clear off enough space on my desk so I can doodle them too. Also, I am happy to see steadily more and more people popping up to compliment Sides, he deserves to be in the spotlight. Sunny may have traditional beauty down, but Sides is that handsome boy next door whom spends their entire youth as an outdoor-playing sort of "dirty", and then cleans up and all of a sudden every girl within a five mile radius suddenly does that one spongebob meme of "Oh no, he's hawt!". And he deserves to be recognized for it, hehe. Even if both mechs are far too confident to get blushy from compliments, which is a true crime, tbh, cause both need to be seen hella positively flustered.

Also! I took Friday off of work because the jerkweed at my job was insistent on buying us lunch as a bribe, and I have too many complex feelings about people giving me things to let myself feel like I owe him. So I got to hang out with my dad, and we're gonna be sealing up my ladybug leaking window today after work. In other news /dun dun/ I was goofing around playing modded Ark: Survival Evolved (specified, cause I talk to a lot of people who don't know what that is, its about dinosaurs) and said mod was hybridization. So I made a manta omanite abomination monster. Twas chthulu, but as a bird. And I love him. I am naming him Flappy when I get home.

On an even different note, cause I've been doing my coloring books again recently, I've been debating on posting the progress of my books onto tumblr, cause I bought a one-sided-page book simply for the express purpose of being able to take the pages out and gift them to friends, so I thought it would be cool to have a visual timeline of what I have done, and how far along I got with different pieces. It would also mean I can take my watercolor pencils to the page the way I wanted to, without worrying about ruining the next page. Downside, I am terrified of posting stuff online, because I internalize everything negative people say about me, whilst simultaneously disregarding all the nice things people say. I am working on unlearning that, which being slightly more active in the interwebs would help with (exposure therapy, whooooo....)

I'm glad you liked them. Sideswipe is a growing favorite I've noticed, and it really is a lot of fun to watch happen. Sunny is still probably the most popular of my designs, but his brother is coming on fast hehe. I REALLY want to draw some more robots soon, despite my other projects. I'm the mood for Mirage and Tracks atm, so we'll see what happens hehe

While the circumstances were not ideal, it is good that you got to spend time with your dad. And I guess congratulations are in order for your avian Cthulu lol Also congratulations for finding time to do your coloring books again. Coloring books are supposed to be really therapeutic(so I hear).

On your possible tumblr posting: I too like to have a timeline on some of my projects just as a record/checkpoint. Tumblr blogs are really good for that I have to admit. Your downside is my downside as well. It's hard to accept compliments and even harder to deal with negative nancy barking up your notifications. I still get nervous over pieces I post, particularly my original works, so don't feel bad. I admit that exposure therapy HAS helped me, but if you feel like it won't help you, then don't do it. But unfortunately, you won't know until you try.

And yes, I do celebrate Easter hehe. I play piano for my church so that's one of my busier times of year outside of Christmas (dear Lord at the Christmas carols…). I even dyed Easter eggs to give out to the kids at church this year, so I really got into it this time. It's also the time of year I get together with some of my extended family, so it's fun (and kinda tiring hehe)

i don’t really wanna call them underrated but i do wish that two stories got a little more feedback. the first is p+c #5 aka original skating anime au, because i just think it’s neat but not a lot of people read it, maybe because character death? and the second is my genfic magical realism au, which people didn’t read and leave feedback on until it got put under a ship tag lol. gen works….in general are underrated imo
