I love the QSMP. Not only has it introduced me to many amazing international creators, it's also introduced me to the French and Brazilian community, who are so sweet, funny, and chaotic in their own unique ways. I love seeing fans sharing their culture and learning from one another, and I myself have learned a lot this past year. I think it's incredible how QSMP brings so many different people together – all of us united in our love and passion for this project and its goals.

But passion can often evoke strong emotions, and these strong emotions aren't always positive.

The past few months, I have seen multiple waves of hate, bad-faith generalizations of communities, and racist remarks directed at fellow fans – especially those who are part of the French / Brazilian community. This kind of behavior is inexcusable, and is in direct conflict with the mission of QSMP, which is to break language barriers and unite communities.

We are a global community with a variety of people from different backgrounds. Miscommunications may occasionally occur because of cultural differences and/or language barriers, but we should use these moments as opportunities to learn and engage with other people rather than assuming the worst about them and starting fights.

Although certain issues can be resolved with communication, sometimes it’s better to block and move on. Avoid spreading negativity or hate, and save yourself the headache of interacting with people who are just looking for someone to argue with.

No matter what community we're a part of or what languages we speak, we're all here to have fun. Please remember to be kind to each other. We have more in common than we have in conflict.

‼️ART TRIGGER WARNING: Mild body horror/gore

Sooooo I kinda unexpectedly deviated from what I would consider my normal art preferences here. Mostly because I’ve seen a lot of talented artists drawing their own renditions of menacing Puzzles fanart where he goes fully insane and whatnot. I wanted to also contribute to that trend somehow…although it’s slightly out of my usual comfort zone << especially with his recent design change of loosing his whole lower body lol. Adapting that into my art was an interesting experimental challenge

Here is my own take on Puzzles falling apart! Quite literally! I still wanted to add a bit of empathy in here for him tho— because I’m going to be so distraught if WOTFI 2024 is his resignation from the spotlight for good. His final bow on stage if you will; the grand finale of his performance before he departs in death (MAN I SURE HOPE HE DOESN’T DIE BUT THE FANDOM SPECULATIONS AND PARANOIA ARE GETTING TO MY HEAD. And it just seems like the narrative progression is leaning that way). Well not matter what happens to him this upcoming Saturday…this tragic TV guy has impacted me in unexpected ways and I’m just so glad we got to spend and entire year with his character. And he’s sure not gonna disappear from my art anytime soon. Hopefully I won’t be maiming him ever again after this though jksjsksp he’s suffered enough angst for now <3

Oh wait is it a toxic family when the father refuses to take accountability and instead blames the kids for his mistakes? And as a result the kids are unwillingly shoehorned into roles where one is the golden perfectionistic never allowed to criticise the family child, and the other is the black sheep difficult selfish disobedient child?

And the golden child is about to explode because he’s never allowed to have his own opinions and so when he feels real frustration at his father, he can’t land the blame there and so he’s conditioned to blame his sibling instead?

And the black sheep child just takes the criticism and the blame and learns to become overly defensive, because he’s learned no one will watch his back but himself, not even his sibling?

Oh wait it’s not a toxic family.

had THE™ time of my life this past weekend visiting minnesota, spending time with one of the best people ever @thedreamthieves over her birthday, and getting to see the leafs. st paul and the people there did NOT disappoint me even when my hockey team did <3. what a beautiful and lowkey place........ i will for sure be back some day.

I don't think many AA stans realise that Larian was never presenting us with a dark kinky light BDSM romance in AA ending.

The whole 'degrading' kneeling scene was showing to the player from the very beginning that it's not going to be that, and now Larian doubled down with even more show rather than tell with the demeaning kisses (because clearly telling wasn't enough).

AA stans feel betrayed and offended... but the only reason they feel this way is because whatever fantasies they made up in their heads clash with Larian's story-telling...but it's not Larian's fault.

As BW said, AA ending is the players' failure to see the character beyond their fantasies and they (BW) were correct. However, it's not just in terms of sexual fantasies but also in terms of understanding the character in general.

These people went into the game to romance a supposedly evil incarnate spawn of Satan sexy looking vampire, the reasons for his behaviour be damned, and now they're dumbfounded that they're being "punished" in the AA ending.

Might come as shocking to you, but being an evil power-couple was never the theme or end goal with Astarion.

It was dealing with trauma.

Trauma with two diverging paths and what position you as the player have in resolving it. It was not about fixing or moralizing.

AA ending should serve as a cautionary tale. Game-wise, Astarion not only takes Cazador's place but turns his love interest into something that he hated throughout the entire game. It should be cautionary to anyone who is trying to help a traumatized person in real life. You cannot be the yesman and an enabler because both people involved will be worse-off.

AA ending is the easy way out, sticking your head in the sand...(if you have no options or nobody really helping you) instead of addressing the problem head-on. This is not your dark evil power-couple romance with a powerful and confident dom daddy.
