Theater Brat 🎭

(Y/N) hadn't been on the ship long, Acting as a Quartermaster of sorts, Especially with Nami having abandoned them. She hadn't been apart of the group long, being the freshest face besides Sanji in this whole ordeal. She hadn't exactly been the biggest Fan of Nami, especially after she had betrayed them for Arlong- however she believed in second chances and that people were the way they are due to past events- not that they just so happen to be bad. That and she trusted Luffy- What was more to say?

After a rather long day of helping with the ship and doing inventory (Y/N) set to relax a little- choosing to play a record and draw for a while. Deciding to do a peice of their favorite theater play they had recently seen before setting off with the Strawhats- as she set off to ink her work a loud knock shook her from her peace and the door opened revealing a very irritated Zoro with a bag in his hand.

"(Y/N)! It's your turn to take it-" Zoro grumbled, Tossing the bag onto the desk, ignoring the grunt of pain from the severed Pirate head inside. "Ow! You Broccoli headed bastard!" Buggy yelled from inside the bag, Zoro glaring at the bag before grumbling about some sort of nap or something and marching off. (Y/N) sighed at this, Opening the bag and carefully setting Buggy's head upright. "Ohh~ I get the pretty girl tonight! Watch out Zoro the amount of noise we are gonna make may keep you up all night!" Buggy cackled, (Y/N) simply shaking her head at this and turning back to her drawing. Buggy clearly not liking to be ignored in such a regard.

"Ugh- That damn bag smells! Has no one heard of deodorant? It's like a bunch of teenagers running a ship-" He said sarcastically, his eyes landing on the girl infront of his drawing away. Trying to take a peak at whatever was being drawn.

"Ugh- Did I get the weird one of the group? Not even gonna entertain me? The least you can do is shimmy your ti-"

"I was just finishing up the lines on this is all, Calm down" She said carefully, her words not even laced with a hint of venom as she blew on the ink to dry. Ignoring c

"What are ya drawing? A wanted poster for the tangerine girl?" He questioned and gave a crookeded grin, assuming Nami was a sensitive topic for them. However frown when he didn't get a reaction.

"No a drawing from one of my favorite musicals. I try to do a drawing of each one I see" She admitted, holding up the paper for him to take a peak at and huffed in genuine surprise at seeing someone on THIS ship actually take some form of interest in the performing arts.

"Huh- Never expected anyone here to be into performing arts. You should draw one of my shows next! One of the best you've ever seen!" He bragged, Grinning as he started to talk about his favorites acts in his shows. From his innocent juggling tricks to the gruesome of having a marine try to tightrope over a raging fire. (Y/N) raised a brow at his boasting and patted his head, more out of habit then anything else which surprised Buggy.

"Well if I ever see a show of yours we're people aren't being tortured to death I'll draw it for you. Deal?" Buggy grinned widely at this and nodded excitedly.

"So what- you're a theater kid or something?- not many people know about shows like this"

"Oh yeah. I'm a total theater brat- My mother was a performer and my father was a musician" (Y/N) said with a chuckle. Thinking back to those days, The anxiety that hung in the air before a show, the live music that filled the air and the heartwarming stories that everyone watched.

"Is that the only type of brat you are?~" Buggy teased with a wink, (Y/N) gave his a mock disgusted look and poked his forehead.

"Pervert- Like you're one to talk. I can smell a fellow theater kid from a mile away- Also the grease paint doesn't help"

"Hey! While my shows are top notch I wouldn't compare them to some low brow theater"

"Oh? So you don't watch any plays" She questioned, a knowing smile on her lips as she met his now narrowed gaze. "No..." He muttered, his own tone of voice starting to betray him.

"Damn- well I could have sworn that I heard a certain barrel singing a song from that really sweet Romcom Play Gaizu & Douruzu (Guys and Dolls)-" She said with a bright smile- Buggy's face turning pale and staring at her with a mixture of embrassment and mild anger.

"...Now you are just being cruel-" He deadpanned and (Y/N) couldn't help but let out a cackle.

"That one is an exception!" He shouted making them laugh harder, He puffed his cheeks in a pout. (Y/n) Wiping the tears from her eyes and poking his puffed our cheek.

"Awww, I didn't mean to make you upset Mr. Scary clown- It's a good play!" She protested as he gave her a Mock glare. He stared at her for a second as she straightened herself out, Buggy staring at them for a hard moment.

"Hey W-" Buggy voice was cut off as the intercom system sounded through the ship. "Food is Ready" Sanji voice rang out as (Y/N) got up with a skip in her step. "I'll be right back!" She called out leaving Buggy by himself- He didn't voice it but he had enjoyed (Y/N) company.

When she returned (Y/N) holding a large bowl of seafood risotto. Buggy felt his mouth watering at the sight and his face twisted up- Expecting him to just have to watch them eat like all the other Strawhats. However he was pleasantly surprised when you held out a spoonful to him. His eyes widened at this and he greedily took the bite, Moaning as he savored the taste. (Y/N) taking her own bite with the same spoon before offering him another. He stares at them for a moment-

"..Why are you being nice to me?"

Buggy asked as he accepted at the bite of food. Watching them as they ate a bite of their own and thought for a moment.

"Well I don't see why I need to be mean to you?" She said softly, Making Buggy stare at them a bit confused.

"I'm ... Me? I mean I hurt your friends, Im a Pirate of a rivaling pirate crew! You should hate me?" He said softly, he felt a small peg to his ego but he couldn't help it.

"I guess...but I wasn't there to see all of what you did. I always try to think people deserve a chance even if others think against it. After all, we are a different kind of Pirate-" She said softly, Feeding him another bite of the risotto. His eyes locked onto her, He didn't remeber the last time someone treated him with this level of kindness?... actually thinking he could be something better or giving him the benefit of the doubt.

"Huh- Quite the sappy one" He joked, making (Y/N) also chuckle a bit and shrug once more.

"Well what can I say- Us theater brats gotta stick together"

As soon as he realizes what he's been feeling all along, he drops whatever he's doing (meaning his training weights fall through the floor) and goes straight to you

He stands before you, arms crossed, not caring that you're currently enjoying a drink with the others on deck. In fact, everyone should know right away, especially the cook

"Y/n, I fucking love you!" He states. When you don't answer right away he adds "that's all".

You look around into your friends faces, feeling flustered. "Love you, too" you answer. He scoops you up into his arms and carries you away explore this new level of your relationship

Luffy

He charges, wraps all his limbs around you and endlessly repeats "I love you" while rubbing his cheek against yours

That's it, that's what he does. His approach is simple and effective.

Sanji

He loved you from the second he first saw you. But he fell even more for you when you spent time together. When he sees that there will be no other for him ever again, he invites you to a romantic and delicious candle light dinner.

He's still insecure and it scares the shit out of him. What if you refuse? What if you love him, too? What if...? But he knows that he needs to fight for his happily ever after. He pours all his love into the dinner he will serve you.

There's wine and multiple courses he's serving. He's fawning over you the whole time. At sunset he kneels in front of you, saying "Y/n, I love you!"

Too bad he tells that to a lot of women, including you, on a regular basis. "Thank you!" Is your answer.

When he realizes that his previous behaviour made his confession somewhat meaningless, he is trying really hard to get his point across. Eventually, he gets an expensive ring and waits for the best moment to propose - but with life on the sunny, the moment doesn't come. After a particularly gruesome fight he was in you tend to his wounds as usual and he thinks: now or never. His bruised fingers can hardly fumble the ring out of his pocket, his hurt legs can't kneel, so he holds up the ring, lying in bed, asking you to marry him. He passes out from blood loss and general exhaustion before he hears your answer

Law

He tries multiple times, but the words don't come out. So he stands in front of you, mumbles "I...I.. uhm..." than seems to swallow hard and goes silent.

He needs a new plan. He needs to write it down for you. And he has a great idea.

When he catches you alone, he blocks your way, clears his throat - and takes his shirt off. He points to a new heart tattoo on his chest, it bears your name. He can hardly look you in the eye and his face turns crimson. You lay your hand on his chest and kiss him as an answer. He draws you close and doesn't care who may be looking.

Chapter 6: A Heist Gone Wrong: Part 1

It was the ass crack of dawn when Nami's unceremonious shake roused you from slumber. The determination in her eyes shut any protest you had right out of your mouth. She hastily guided you to the galley as you fought the sleep off your limbs. As you stepped inside, you were met with an unmistakable aura of anticipation. Each member of the crew focused and awake, their eagerness to embark on this new adventure palpable in the air. You poured yourself a cup of coffee, muffling a yawn as you sat down in your usual seat.

Nami swiftly took charge, unfolding a map on the table. Her voice cut through the idle chatter like a blade, demanding attention. "Listen up, everyone," she commanded, her tone unwavering. "We're on a tight schedule, and our success hinges on flawless execution." With a decisive gesture, she produced a hat filled with slips of paper, each containing a number. "Everybody take one," she instructed, her gaze firm. "We need to form teams."

The hat passed from hand to hand, finally settling on you. With a deep breath, you reached into the hat, fingers brushing against the slips of paper until you found one. Pulling it out, you unfolded it to reveal the number 2 scrawled in bold print. A sense of anticipation mingled with your nervous energy as the realization that you were about to infiltrate a Navy base hit you. You passed the hat on to Chopper, sitting next to you.

Nami’s eyes scanned the room, her expression expectant as she waited for everyone to draw their fate. As the last paper was chosen, she nodded in satisfaction. “Alright, who’s team 1?” She asked.

“Me!” Luffy and Sanji, said in unison.

“You’re on food duty. Like usual, try to bring back as much as you can.” She said. “Team 2?”

You hesitantly raised your hand, watching your surroundings in search of who was going to be your partner. The swordsman visibly scowled before saying “Me.”

You matched his expression.

Nami couldn’t help the amused smirk on her face at the twist of fate. “You two, are in charge of retrieving these medical supplies.” She handed you a list. Chopper’s clear handwriting outlining the equipment and supplies he needed. “There isn’t too much on there so it should be easy enough to do as a first mission with us.” She said with a reassuring smile. “Just make sure to keep an eye on Zoro so he doesn’t get lost.” She added with a playful wink, eliciting a grunt of protest from the swordsman.

“I will?” You agreed, question in your tone.

“I won’t get lost” Zoro retorted voice still rough with sleep.

Nami rolled her eyes at his comment. “Just trust me, don’t let him get out of your sight, alright?”

You nodded.

Satisfied, Nami continued. “Who’s on team 3 with me?” She asked.

“That would be me” Brook shot his hand up.

The smile on Nami’s face was downright evil as she said. “We’re in charge of the treasury.” She didn’t have to say more, understanding flowed between her and the skeleton.

“Aye, aye, Nami-san! Let’s make sure not to leave a single Berry behind!” He chimed in, bony fingers tapping excitedly on the wooden table in a rhythmic manner.

She seemed pleased with the answer. “Good! Team 4, you’re in charge of the distraction. Make sure they don’t see us leaving.”

“Leave it to us!” Franky said with a booming voice pointing at him and Robin.

“That leaves Chopper and Usopp, you guys make sure to keep the Sunny safe and sound.” She instructed. “Now, here’s how we’re going to go about it.” She pointed at a spot in the makeshift map. “Franky, you’re going to take the Mini Merry and bring each team to this entrance. If we’re quick enough about it, they shouldn’t notice anything through the shift rotation.” She explained. “The kitchen should be around here, and the infirmary around here.” She pointed at two different points on the map.

You took a mental note of the rough directions you’d have to follow.

"Now, let's get suited up!" Nami declared, her voice commanding as she put down a stack of Marine uniforms atop the map. With efficient movements, she distributed the attires, handing you and Zoro a nurse and doctor’s uniform respectively.

As you unfolded the short pink dress and apron, a small hat tumbled to the ground, eliciting an incredulous remark under your breath. "You can't be serious," you muttered, eyeing the costume with a mixture of disbelief and resignation.

Nami offered a sympathetic smile in response to your incredulity. "Come on, guys, we're leaving in 15 minutes!" she reminded, her tone laced with urgency.

Zoro grumbled unintelligibly as he reluctantly began to strip off his usual attire, joining the other men in the men’s quarters. With a resigned sigh, you headed back to the women's quarters to change, the fabric of the absurd outfit feeling uncomfortably tight against your skin. Clearly tailored to fit Nami and Robin's curves, it left you feeling constrained and awkward.

As Nami helped you tie the apron into a neat bow at your back, you couldn't help but voice your discontent. "Next time, I swear I'm the one playing doctor. Put the idiot in the skimpy nurse outfit instead." you grumbled, the absurdity of the idea not lost on you.

Nami laughed, her amusement infectious as she offered an apologetic shrug. "Sorry, (Y/n), but sometimes we have to make do with what we've got," she replied, adjusting her own uniform with practiced ease.

Robin chimed in with a chuckle, her gaze soft as she looked at you through the reflection in the mirror. "Don't worry too much about it. Besides, you look absolutely adorable," she reassured, her tone gentle.

Rolling your eyes at the compliment, you couldn't help but smirk slightly. "Adorable until I have to run for my fucking life through a Marine base in this," you retorted bitterly.

Nami's laughter only grew louder at your remark, the sound echoing through the room. With the final touches to your attire complete, you hurried back to your forge, hesitantly grabbing Yokubari before rejoining the crew on deck.

Zoro emerged from the men’s quarters, looking less than pleased with his attire. His bright green hair was concealed under a doctor’s cap, the stethoscope draped around his neck seemed entirely out of place. His swords protruded awkwardly beneath the clearly too tight doctor's coat. The swordsman’s scowl deepened as he took in your form but despite his clear discontent, he took his place next to you without protest. You let out a sigh, his own getup somehow making yours feel a little less awkward.

You were about to ask the swordsman your usual question when Sanji's voice cut through the tension, his flirtatious charm in full swing. You couldn't help but roll your eyes shyly at his predictable antics. "(Y/n)-chwan! You're a vision straight out of paradise," he crooned, his gaze fixated on you with unabashed admiration.

Zoro's muttered curse next to you only added to the amusement, his irritation palpable as he shot a scowl in Sanji's direction. "Freaking pervy cook," he grumbled under his breath, his exasperation evident in his tone.

Amidst the banter, Franky's booming voice rang out from the Mini Merry below, announcing their readiness for action. "Alright, everyone! The Mini Merry is all set to go!" he called out, his marine attire contrasting with the usual flamboyance of his style.

Let's go, Sanji!" Luffy shouted eagerly, the chef still twirling around you in exaggerated admiration. When Sanji failed to respond, Luffy’s arm shot up from below, seizing him by the collar and hauling him down on the small ship, leaving the deck feeling silent.

Left standing awkwardly next to each other, you and Zoro exchanged a glance, the tension between you momentarily broken by the absurdity of the situation. The soft hum of the steam engine filled the air as the Mini Merry set off towards its destination, each rhythmic thud of the waves against the hull a reminder of the impending mission.

It didn’t take long for the small boat to return, cutting through the water with precision as it reapproached the ship. Nami's voice carried across the deck, calling out to you and Zoro with a sense of urgency. "Hurry up, you two! Get on board!" she commanded, her tone leaving no room for hesitation.

You exchanged a quick glance with Zoro before heading down the ladder.

"Don't screw this up, witch," Zoro's remark cut through the air with the sharpness of his tone, his gaze piercing as he looked down at you from above.

Your indignation flared instantly at his words. "Huh?" you screeched in disbelief, the insult stinging your pride. But before you could unleash a retort, Zoro had already leaped down onto the smaller boat, his movements nonchalant.

"Freaking asshole! What's that supposed to mean, 'don't mess this up'?" you shot back angrily as you followed suit, stepping onto the wobbly surface of the Mini Merry.

Franky wasted no time, guiding the boat swiftly toward the island once more, his focus unwavering.

"You heard me loud and clear," Zoro retorted with a smirk, his expression unapologetic.

"Cut it out, you two," Franky interjected, his tone firm as he glanced back at you both. "Save the bickering for later. Sound carries over water."

You glared at the swordsman, hoping it carried all the colorful words you wanted to throw at him in this moment.

He ignored you.

Stepping onto the firm ground with angry strides, you couldn't help but watch in disbelief as Zoro sauntered past the glaringly obvious entrance. With sudden urgency, you hurried after him, catching up to the swordsman with determined strides.

"Zoro, wait!" You called out his name, an unusual sound on your lips, your voice a mixture of frustration and urgency. "We're supposed to go this way," you insisted, gesturing towards the clear entrance to the base.

The swordsman paused, his expression a mix of annoyance and begrudging acceptance as he followed your lead, allowing you to guide him towards the correct path.

“Just so you know, I knew exactly where I was going” He said as you closed the door softly behind you.

“You can’t be serious, the door was right there!” You retorted in amazement, sprinting to match his pace down the cold empty corridor.

“I wasn’t lost, witch” He said with certainty.

“What the fuck is your problem, swordsman?” You snapped, whisper shouting at him.

He looked down at you unimpressed. “My problem? Maybe if you stopped being such a pain in the ass, I wouldn’t have one.” He whispered back at you, his pace increasingly fast as he navigated through the corridors. You followed suit with quick strides.

You scoffed, feeling the anger bubbling inside you. “Oh, poor Mr. Brooding swordsman! Maybe if you weren’t so damned stubborn, we could have a civil conversation for once!”

Zoro’s eye narrowed, a dangerous glint flickering in his gaze. “Civil conversation? Ha! That’s rich, coming from you.”

You both took a quick turn, the end of the corridor was a dead end.

You blanched as realization hit you.

You were lost.

“Shit!” You swore under your breath. “This is all your fault” you barked at him, uncaring how loud you were being in the moment.

Zoro's gaze hardened as he turned to face you, his irritation palpable. "My fault?" he retorted, his voice dripping with sarcasm as he continued. "Last time I checked, you were the one who was leading the way."

You bristled at his accusation, the tension between you reaching a boiling point as frustration threatened to consume both of you. "I was following you! You bastard!" you shot back, your voice rising with each word.

Zoro's jaw clenched visibly, his temper flaring as he took a step closer to you, his proximity heightening the intensity of the confrontation. "Listen, witch," he growled, his tone low and menacing. "We don’t have time for your temper tantrums.”

“Fuck!” Your voice reverberated against the walls. YOUR temper tantrums? He was the one behaving like a fucking child!! “Fine, but this isn’t over, you asshole.” You whispered violently back at him. You took a deep breath, forcing yourself to calm down. “We need a map.” You admitted after a few seconds.

“Agreed.” He said, crossing his arms.

“This is a marine base. There has to be a map plastered on some wall somewhere.” You said thinking hard on how you could salvage this major fuck up. “I say we go back on our steps and figure this out.”

Zoro's nod of acknowledgment eased the tension between you slightly as you both turned back towards the intersection. Your heart raced with a mix of frustration and urgency as you struggled to recall the path you had just taken. The haze of anger had clouded your memory, leaving you disoriented in the labyrinthine corridors of the marine base.

Glancing down both sides of the corridor, you weighed your options. To your left, the passage ended abruptly in a dead end, while to the right, it seemed to stretch on indefinitely. With a determined breath, you formulated a plan.

"You go check if there's a map on the left, I'll check the right. We regroup right here, understood?" you instructed Zoro, your voice firm with determination.

He grunted in approval, his gaze meeting yours with a silent understanding of the task at hand. You watched him go, ensuring he headed in the right direction before turning your attention to your own task.

Scouring the walls for any sign of a map, you felt a pang of frustration as you came up empty-handed. Sighing in resignation, you turned back towards the intersection, expecting to find Zoro waiting for you.

But he wasn't there.

Panic surged through you as you scanned the empty corridor, the realization sinking in that Zoro had vanished from sight. It was impossible, there were only dead ends that way. He couldn’t have taken a wrong turn. Had he encountered trouble? No. If it had been trouble, you would have heard something.

Heart pounding, you retraced your steps, racing back to the intersection in search of any sign of the swordsman. But the corridor remained eerily silent, devoid of any trace of Zoro's presence.

You frantically opened door after door, hoping that it was some kind of bad joke.

“Swordsman, this isn’t fucking funny” You said in the void.

No answer.

“Zoro! Get back here!” You said, voice reverberating in the silence of dawn.

Still nothing.

You grit your teeth. Nami had warned you but still, how could someone get themselves lost when there was nowhere to go? Your mind raced with worry as you desperately called out Zoro's name every few steps, each echo bouncing back to you. But there was no response, no sign of the swordsman returning. The bastard had vanished into thin air, leaving you alone in the maze-like base.

With a frustrated growl, you clenched your fists, fighting back the rising panic threatening to overwhelm you. Taking a deep breath to steady your nerves, you made a decision. You couldn't afford to stay rooted in one spot, hoping for the swordsman to miraculously reappear. You had a mission to complete, and every wasted moment increased the risk of discovery by the marines.

Pushing aside your concern for the asshole, you squared your shoulders and pressed forward, determination driving you to find the medical supplies on Chopper's list. Each step forward felt like a leap into the unknown, the silence of the base amplifying the sound of your own footsteps.

As you navigated the winding corridors, you kept a vigilant eye out for any sign of a map or the infirmary. The minutes stretched into what felt like hours, the oppressive atmosphere of the base weighing heavily on your shoulders as you prayed you wouldn’t encounter anyone.

Finally, after what seemed like an eternity of searching, you stumbled upon a door marked with a red cross, a faint glimmer of hope igniting within you. You pushed open the door and stepped into the dimly lit room beyond.

The infirmary was surprisingly well-equipped, rows of medical supplies neatly organized on shelves lining the walls. Your heart leaped with relief as you saw no one in sight.

With a sense of urgency, you retrieved the list from the small pocket nestled against your breast, your eyes scanning its contents with rapid precision. Each item was committed to memory as you mentally checked off the necessary supplies, your focus unwavering despite the mounting tension in the air.

You set Yokubari of a small wooden desk before facing the multitude of shelves before you.

As you approached the rows of neatly organized bottles, your hands moved with efficiency, selecting each item with careful consideration. The soft thump of your heart was loud in your ears as you added each bottle in the small bag Nami had entrusted to you.

That was it! You felt a small sense of accomplishment wash over you, at the completed task. You reviewed the list once again for good measure.

Gauze.

You’d forgotten gauze.

Frantically, you scanned the shelves, searching for the missing item, but it was nowhere to be found. Something moved in the corner of your eye. Then a sharp pain in your neck. You turned back in shock.

"Who are you and what are you doing here?" a deep voice cut through the air like a knife. A man in a lab coat was staring down at you, a syringe in his hand.

Panic seized you, stumbling backwards, you felt your legs give way beneath you. The tips of your fingers felt numb, but your mind was still sharp. With a trembling hand, you reached for your sword, the familiar weight providing a sliver of reassurance amidst the chaos.

In a desperate bid for survival, you drew upon the depths of your strength, unsheathing Yokubari. Its haki instantly dominated your mind, taking over your senses. A wave of power rippled through the air, the man instantly dropped down unconscious in the wake of its power.

Good. He wouldn’t be able to sound the alarm. Everyone was still safe.

Yokubari clattered to the ground instants before you did. You tried to get up unsuccessfully.

Fuck.

Everything felt numb.

Fuck.

You’d messed up.

Fuck.

i have had a few moments where i really liked (mackenyu) zoro. when he smiled, once, i was like WOW ??? HELLO??? I LOVE U ... and then it was Gone.. i just need the silly guy to be silly. either way his action scenes are fantastic like. huge kudos to mackenyu for that. "zoro’s characterization seems to be one of the major criticisms ive seen across the board so maybe they’ll lighten him up for season 2." I HOPE SO!!! its not like hes doing an awful job or anything, im just sad abt the way the character has gone. make him smile a little more and joke around a little more and i will be happy as a clam or whatever that saying is. also excited for whatever the zoro saying fuck scene is.. i dont really notice cussing most of the time in media so i hope it doesnt slip past me

"Damn... Y/N not again!", said Ussop as you just gave him an apologetic look. Luffy and Chopper, just smiled at you when you went into the kitchen.

You saw that the blond was making pastries. You stood beside him and looked at him. He smiled at you and lifted his spoon up, with the small treat with it.

"Say ah~", he said making you blush. You had a crush on the blond for a long time. Maybe from the day you joined the crew. He was so elegant, handsome and very polite. You always had a spot for gentlemen like him. As he instructed, you opened your mouth. He placed the piece of pastry in your mouth and pulled the empty spoon back. "So, how is it?", he asked.

The worst you imagined was, he gently rejecting you. but... this... you never expected. Tears welled up in your eyes and you went to the restroom and cried for a while. You were never the type to cry in front of others. Oh little did you know that it was a nasty drawing handed to him. He bent down and gently picked it up. Then suddenly, the Okama people attacked him. So he had no choice but to place it in his pocket and run away. 

You started to train with the people on the island and had only two thoughts in mind. ‘To get stronger for Luffy and to get rid of these feelings for Sanji’. On the other hand, Sanji read your letter and had tears in his eyes. ‘Y..Y/N loves me?!’, he thought as he read the letter again and again to make sure he didn’t imagine anything. He was overwhelmed with happiness, never in his life he thought he could have a person love him. But, there you were, in every step when together, trying to make him happy. He realised how he also liked you but never knew about his own feelings.

You had no option but to carry him to the Shakki san’s bar. You crouched down and placed your arm behind his shoulder and carefully lifted him up with using your devilfruit powers. No matter how much you tried to avoid, your mind kept telling you, how his fluffy hair grew, how he changed his hair to view his other eye, and how... how you still had feelings for him even when you denied. ‘Damn my stupid heart’, you cursed as you reached the bar. You let him be there and left.

After a while, Sanji slowly opened his eyes slowly and got up. He then remembered the encounter with you.

“Y/N!”, he exclaimed as he looked around the bar, only for Shakki san to chuckle and pat his head.

“She brought you here when you were unconscious and left”, she said. He got up right away and thanked Shakki san and left the bar. He went towards the shops to buy food and controlled himself so much not to just stand there talking with the ladies. He wanted to make the best food for the three of you... especially, for you.

He bought food and came over to the ship, only to be fainted with nosebleed right after seeing you and the other two ladies. He woke up after a while and sunny started the journey to the mermaid island. He then without wasting time, came towards you and took your hand in his as he walked away from the chaotic group.

‘Why the hell am I not pushing him away?’, you thought as he brought you to kitchen and stood before you. He took a deep breath and asked, “Y/N, do you... do you like..”, he practiced this for two years and now he became a nervous wreck. You wanted to be cold towards him. You didn’t want these feelings for him. So you said, “Hurry up will ya! I don’t have time”. His face was stunned. He looked at you with a very hurt expression. You were hurt. You didnt like the way you talked to him.

“Ah, I.. I’m sorry, its just that, I wanted to ask you that, is it true that, you..like me?”, he asked.

You sighed and replied, “I.. I used to like you Sanji and yes it was the truth. But I don’t anymore.”

He was shocked. His visible eye was open wide. He didn’t expect this answer from you. He thought you two would date. Now here you were, saying you liked him but you don’t feel the same for him now.

“But... may I ask, why? Did you like anyone else during this time?”, he asked you. 

“No, no one. Its just that, I liked you so much but,” you couldn’t stop, you werent nervous. You wanted to tell him how much you were hurt so you continued, “I was heart broken, when you rejected my confession then-”

“WOAH WOAH! Rejected your confession?! When did I ever do that?”, he questioned with the most serious and confused look.

“You did. You crumbled my love letter infront of my eyes. I never thought you would be the type to just plain stamp on my feelings. Especially you Sanji, you dont even know how much hurt I was when I saw that”, you said as you looked into his eyes. 

“Y/N, what are you even talking about? I wouldn’t do that. You should know it more than anyone else on this ship”, he said as he sighed and placed his hand in his pocket. He took out a pink envelope and gave it to you. You took it and opened the envelope. It had the same folded white paper in it. You teared up as you saw that paper. 

“I saw your letter, when I was thrown away on an island. I wanted to contact you asap, but I didn’t knew where you were”, he said as he came closer to you and gently wiped your tears away. He continued, “Y/N, I’ve kept this letter for all this time and I’ll continue to keep it with me. It’s the first time a person ever said that they like me. And, more over its from an amazing person like you. Did you think, I’d reject you?”

You sobbed even more and leaned your head on his chest. He slowly placed one of his hand on your shoulder and with the other he patted your head soothingly. 

“I’m sorry. I’m sorry Sanji. I should’ve known. I misunderstood you. Forgive me.”, you said still didnt looked at him. He said, “Its fine. Dont cry. Y/N, I’ve been waiting to ask this, Will you go out with me?”

You stopped crying as he said it. You lifted your head and looked at him. He was serious. He didn’t have any heart eyes or nosebleed.

“Are you... sure?”, you asked. He smiled and said yes. You giggled and nodded. As soon as you nodded he couldn’t control his emotions and hugged you tight as he lifted you up. 

“THANKYOU SO MUCH!”, he screamed as you chuckled. With still you in his arms, he left the kitchen and you both were met with the whole crew staring at you two. He let you down and placed his arm around your shoulder.

“WE ARE DATING!”, he announced making the complete crew jump in joy. Even when Luffy and Chopper didn’t understand what it was but still were happy anyway.

Days went by and you all achieved your goals. You both faced so many troubles, had many memorable moments. The way Sanji dotted on you made you to become happier than ever, because that was what you wanted from him, because he was your prince. You loving and caring for him, made him even more crazy for you, because that was what he wanted the most in his life, and you were the angel of his heart. Once you found a paper on your desk, which said meet me at the beach. You followed the path of rose petals and ofcourse, no one but Sanji would do this.He is cheesy AF, bt you love it though. There you saw, Sanji with a bouquet of red roses. ‘How did he arrange all of this’, you thought as you looked at the beach. He arranged a candle light date. He gave you the bouquet and escorted you to the place. You sat on your chair and he knelt down before you. He held your hand in his and said, “Y/N, you make me so happy every single day. You made me a better person. Time with you is the most precious of all. So, would you give me the honour of standing next to you for the rest.”, he took out a small dark blue box and opened it and continued, “Will you become the Queen of my All blue for life, will you marry me”, he ended as you started to cry.

“Yes, my King of All Blue”, you said as you sobbed and he placed the ring on your finger. You both got up and kissed. Then all your friends came towards you two and congratulated you two. Luffy hugged you two as he nibbled on the food, Sanji made for you.

You couldn’t help but be overwhelmed. He was your prince, now he was becoming your King. You couldnt be anymore happier than this.

After disbanding from crew, you both went to Barratie, for some days to meet Sanji’s family. As soon as you were introduced as his fiance, everyone was stunned. They all celebrated this by making a huge party and you felt blessed for all this. For Sanji, for his family and for everything else.

Question: Does Ace get jealous when Marco and Zoro carry Fem Luffy like they hang out.

Does Ace get jealous? Oh ABSOLUTELY.

That being said, he’s no longer a child, and he’s not nearly as insecure about whether or not Luffy loves him as he may have once been. He’d be lying if he said there wasn’t a part of him that feels lonely, no longer being Luffy’s one and only Everything. But a bigger part of him is so damn proud, proud because Luffy’s amazing and now other people can see that too, proud because she’s a natural leader who draws people in, and proud of her for making new friends and people she can trust, because nothing’s worse than being alone.

And it really shouldn’t have surprised Ace that everyone’s drawn to her, in more ways than one. He’s had years to become hyper sensitive to eyes that follow Luffy, especially if they hold even the slightest hint of lust (his Big Brother Sensor, Deuce jokes)--and really, he shouldn’t be surprised that he senses that from near every damn member of their growing crew.

He knows they won’t hurt her, and he likes them as people and trusts them, they wouldn’t be on the crew otherwise. And perhaps a subconscious part of Ace knows he has no right to judge. And more than anything, he trusts Luffy, trusts her intuition and agency to let in good people. But he still makes sure to watch and remain vigilant, to the extent he can do so without interfering with Luffy’s freedom.

Zoro in particular, Ace has mixed feelings about. Mixed, because he’s not as obvious as Thatch or Sanji, screaming their love to the heavens. But he’s not actively hiding it and trying to be sneaky either, like Nami or Deuce. Zoro is absolutely loyal to Luffy, with a depth of dedication that is startling given how short a time they’ve been together. And despite Ace and Luffy both being co-captains of their shared crew, Ace also knows that should their crew split, Zoro will without a doubt go with Luffy.

Ace knows that Zoro won’t ever make a move on Luffy, won’t ever touch her inappropriately, and will protect her at all costs because his loyalty has nothing to do with lust, or even romantic love. It’s why Ace grudgingly lets Zoro be Luffy’s secondary carrier, when he can’t. Ace trusts Zoro with her.

But at the same time, Ace knows that should Luffy initiate, Zoro won’t hesitate to accept. He knows that should Luffy kiss him, Zoro would let her lead, but would also enthusiastically encourage her.

The thought bothers Ace a lot more than it has any right to. He refuses to acknowledge why.

Every time Ace passes Luffy to Zoro, the two men make eye contact, an unsaid, I’m watching you, and I know.

Request: Hi! I was wondering if you could d a zoro roronoa x reader where the reader is a swordswomen and they become good friends but they slowly start to become romantically interested in eachother??

You and Zoro had know each other for a very long time. The two of you had first met when you were children, long before Zoro joined Luffy’s crew. Over the years you had gone separate ways, but you had a habit of running into each other without meaning to. 

Every time it was like you two never left each other’s side, and you just took up the conversation where it last left off. 

When Zoro joined Luffy’s crew, the meetings stopped, since they headed for the Grand Line while you stayed in the East Blue. 

Zoro didn’t really speak of you to the other crew members, but he misses you none the less. The crew are his friends, but you are his best friend. 

Sometimes, when he misses you the most, he would spend most of his down time gazing at the sky and wondering what you are up to. He guessed it couldn’t be anything too bad, since he never saw anything in the newspapers that was or could be about you. 

You could also be dead, but as soon as that idea popped into his head, he quickly abandoned it. You were not some kind of person he could imagine that would go out without at least making it news worthy. 

He knew that you probably had some idea as what he was up to, since the crew was making a name for themselves. He knew that you must have seen his bounty poster at some point, and he wonders how you felt. 

He knew that you most likely didn’t care, as you both had been on the grey side of the law most of the time anyways, but he couldn’t help but think about it.

It’s a calm day on the Merry, and as usual Zoro is napping on deck while the rest of the crew does whatever they like. He is vaguely aware of Luffy and Usopp sitting on the railing and fishing, while trading silly jokes between themselves. 

He’s half asleep and barely listening, but when Luffy says something about an approaching boat, he starts paying attention. Luffy and Usopp is arguing if the boat is coming closer or not, so Zoro decides he should go have a look. 

He gets up and walks over to Luffy and Usopp, and indeed, there is a small boat there. It’s tiny even to the Sunny, mainly comprised of a mast with a sail and a small cabin. He can’t see anyone on the boat.

“I think it is coming closer.” Usopp’s looks at Zoro where he is standing a few meters behind them and then back to Luffy. 

“See I told you so! What do you think it is? Maybe it’s-” Usopp’s out loud train of thought is broken right there, as something splashes over the water towards them, and before they know it, a person is between Luffy and Usopp. 

The seemingly half second they are there, Usopp has time to notice a smirk on their lips half hidden under a hood, and Zoro has barely enough time to draw two of his katanas to block theirs. 

The force of it sends him sliding backwards on the deck, he has no time at all before the person is attacking him again. The power behind the attacks are fierce, relentless, and weirdly enough, somewhat familiar. Zoro can’t pinpoint why, as he has little time to think between attacks.

Luffy and Usopp yells out, which makes the rest of the crew come to see what the hell is going on. Luffy tries to reach out, but before Zoro can yell for him to stay out of it, the swordsman deflects Luffy’s hands, sending him crashing into a wall. 

Zoro notices that Luffy isn’t bleeding at all when he gets up. The swordsman must have been using the blunt sides of the blades. Which means they only want to fight him, and not hurt anyone else. He yells this out loud to the rest of the crew. 

The momentarily slip of full concentration seems to give his opponent the tiniest of windows, and they send him reeling backwards again. As he gets some distance, the figure talks.

“Still not letting others fight your battles for you Zoro? Very good!” He realises then why the attacks seemed so familiar. He has blocked them hundreds, if not thousands times before. He almost doesn’t dare speak your name in fear of being wrong, but when the figure takes their hood off, he lets it slip anyway. You grin.

“Thought you might have forgotten me there for a second.” Zoro finds himself smiling back, and then his katanas clatter to the ground as he rushes forward to hug you. You laugh and hug him back. The rest of his crew sends confused looks between themselves, not understanding the sudden shift in tone. Zoro lets go of you so he can face them all.

“Everyone, meet my best friend.” You wave, presenting yourself properly with your full name and a peace sign.

“Nice to meet everyone!” Before anyone can say anything else, Sanji runs over and takes it in his. He kisses your hand, his eyes almost going heart shaped.

“Ahhh, such a pretty lady. How do you know such a brute as Zoro?” Zoro ignores the glare sent his way, while you pull your hand out of Sanjis. 

“Oh, we known each other since we were kids, and since we always ran into each other back in East Blue, we stayed friends over the years.” You sling an arm around Zoro’s shoulder and he can’t help but smile at the familiar weight of it.

“And then this dummy up and left East Blue, so eventually I decided I should probably follow him.” You ruffle his hair. Zoro can see the confusion on his crew members faces, except from Luffy, who nods.

“It’s decided then.” Luffy says, confusing everyone even more, including you.

“What?” You ask, but Zoro already knows the words that are going to come out his captains mouth.

“You are going to be our new crew member” A chorus of groans and “Luffy, no”, rises from the crew. Zoro notices you seem slack-jawed, but you regain your composure quickly.

“Yeah, sure!” You say with a smile, and just like that, the Strawhats have another member.

After that first day, you settle in rather quickly. You learn that the whole crew is quite the cast of characters and you love it. You have some favourites of course (Robin is interesting to say the least) and some not so favorite (Sanji had gotten a few bonks on the head with the handle of your katanas before the heart eyes stopped), but all in all you really like everyone. 

It also feels wonderful traveling with others again, especially when one of them is your best friend. It was so good to see Zoro again and hang out with him. And now you were in the same crew, so you wouldn’t need to be apart again. 

Which both of you enjoyed immensely, maybe you even more than him, since your old crush on him was flaring up again. You do your best to ignore it however, not wanting to spoil the friend reunion. 

One night, after dinner, you and Zoro start drinking together while reminiscing about old times. You get so into the conversation that the rest of the crew leaves you to it. 

In the middle of another story about how you beat up someone who challenged you in a bar, you hear two splashes, and then Nami screaming. It quickly becomes apparent that Luffy and Chopper have gone overboard. 

Without even thinking, you run forward to the railing, jumping over it and down to the freezing water down below. As soon as you are under, you spot the two of them sinking. 

A splash next to you and then Zoro is there too. 

You exchange a glance, and then you swim towards Chopper while he goes for Luffy. Dragging them both towards the surface, all four of you gasp for air as soon as you can. 

Careful not to lose Chopper, you carefully swim towards the boat and climb the ladder Usopp threw down. As soon as you place Chopper on the deck, he coughs up even more water, Luffy doing the same as soon Zoro and him joins you.

“You guys okay?” Luffy and Chopper nod, but says nothing. You breathe a sigh of relief while standing up. 

“Good. Going to go out on a limb here and say don’t play wrestle that close to the railing next time all right?” You take their silence as an yes. You wring out as much water as you can from your clothes. You’re soaked and so is Zoro. 

“Zoro, going to need to borrow one of your shirts, mine is still hanging out to dry after I washed them.”

“Sure.” You had done similar things over the years, so it comes naturally for you to ask and for Zoro to say yes. You follow Zoro while Nami yells at Chopper and Luffy for being so stupid. When the hatch closes behind you and you have your feet on the floor, you groan and stretch.

“Gotta say, Devil Fruits are really cool and all, but don’t think I would ever give up the ability to svim.” Zoro just hums, used to hearing you talk without needing a response.

“I mean, I wouldn’t mind like being my own personal lighter or something but-” You are cut off by Zoro’s shirt hitting you in the face.

“Thanks!” Without hesitation you pull of your own shirt, letting it drop to the floor.

“You got any towels around here?” You look up and catch Zoro looking the the new scars on your stomach.

“Those new?” 

“Yeah, got them in a bar fight of all things.”

“Look nasty.”

“You’re one to talk, with the one all over your chest.” Zoro shrugs and takes of his own shirt, letting that too fall to the floor. You can’t help the small hitch in your breath that comes from seeing it in its entirety. You walk closer to him, and in the small space it only takes a few steps. You touch the upper edge of the big scar, Zoro lets you, just watching.

“I wish I was there when it happened.” Zoro grunts, not really sure how to approach the subject, since he’s rarely a man of many words.

“Hey, you’re here now. I don’t care that you weren’t there then, I’m just happy that we found each other again.”

“Well, more like I found you.” Zoro snorts.

“Besides, it’s not like I don’t think the same about these.” Zoro touches the scars on your stomach, and you draw in a sharp breath. Looking up, you lock gazes with him. You feel your heart having its own 100 meter race in your chest. 

You don’t know if it’s Zoro’s touch or his words, but you feel the love for the man soar. Which guides your next action. 

You keep eye contact while your hands go the his shoulders, and then you are leaning forward, pressing your lips to his. 

It is brief, and when you lean back, Zoro mirrors you, and then he is kissing you. 

The brief shock is gone in second and then you are ecstatic, kissing him back. You can hardly believe it, but the man you love is kissing you.

After a while you break apart, and you lean your head on Zoro’s shoulder. His arms circle your back, stroking you slowly.

“We should probably go back up so the others won’t start to wonder what we are doing back here.”

“Mhm.” You look up at Zoro and grin, he finds himself matching it. You share one more kiss before putting your dry shirts on and joining the rest of the crew.
