i went in to bsd knowing absolutely nothing about it except that Dazai existed (i was looking for something similar to Noragami & ppl kept saying Yato & this "Dazai" character were similar... which did not end up being true imo but i digress LOL)

i kept dropping the anime every few eps bc i couldn't get into it (my brain: not enough Dazai screen time smh). and tbh Chuuya wasn't rly that memorable to me 🫣 (tho i mostly blame the anime for the portrayal of their relationship & watering down ALL the characters ajdkshdkf)

but after i finished the anime & started reading fics, knkdz was my fave dynamic (platonically). it wasn't until i ran out of knkdz fics & started reading skk fics that i was like OH so THIS is their dynamic (not that i'm endorsing ppl basing their characterizations off of fics OOF...). and once i read the In's i was like OHHHH YEAH OK SKK HAS ME IN A CHOKEHOLD

all that to say... i'm very interested in your experiment bc from the anime alone i rly enjoyed knkdz! I'm not big on knkdz anymore just bc i prefer skk, but i appreciate the importance of the role their relationship plays in bsd/for Dazai, & idk how someone can like skk and outright hate knkdz bc they have a lot of similarities 😵‍💫

(and for the record platonic skk is still my favorite flavor of skk 🤭 Dazai therapy arc before any healthy romances pls)

I felt like that sentence felt familiar before i realized that you titled chp 4 by “i want my life in two” AND somehow the cycle of that two different lives are oddly similar ?? Like how mirai found someone that she likes (chi & okkotsu) ; that someone was taken away (the kamo clan & the villagers) ; she went on a rampage (trashing around the small shed & the village massacre)

chp 4 ends with = (A finger stuck itself into the series of tapes, starting to wind it back.) and as the summary for chp 7 goes : The stories that unfolded each time, however, as of late, did tend to be quite a bit different. Perhaps because of one character that did not quite belong with the rest. (1) Gojou Satoru.

YOU YOU YOU MIND BLOWER AHHHHHHH. I love love how you do this thing with naming the chapters that follows the theme of the story u wrote, it may seem like a minor detail but i rlly rlly love it omfg like

atcit : the mc’s rule of threes

memos : hoku as a protagonist has a goal to paint the best story and if u combine the title of the current chapters together and it can already form a prologue of a story which coincides that hoku just joined the strawhats and is painting for the strawhats’ journey

kapfm : mirai is essentially stuck in a loop/ limbo of a monotonous life (even tho it involves more than plenty of adrenaline for sorcerers & non sorcerers) and theyre not even bothered to think much of it unless its rly rly important for the future/ whatever that is in scope in their curse technique and someone new in their latest lifetime who seems like he wont ever fit in her standard script of life. and not only that but, some chapters may seemed like it mirrored the other but its not !!! like one of those games of finding the abnomalies in 2 similar pictures and its bc of that one ridiculous op guy 😭

hmmmmmm how should i put it, ik that its 2 entirely different series and themes but mirai and hoku is actually a good foil for each other SHJSJSJS dunno if anyone else noticed and may sent sth about them both in an ask

Like, mirai’s ability to see the future and is convinced that it is set and even if it changed it wont necessarily be a good thing for everyone involved; and it wont be an exeption to the strongest sorceror in the new era vs hoku’s plan to draw the best story in a world and the boy who she is convinced could overcome his predecessor (i.e gold roger) but that conviction itself it sth that has been set from the very beginning bc luffy is the protagonist and she thought of herself as a bystander and wont make sth as small as ripple

i probably didnt explain any of my thought even tho i just wrote a paragraph HSHSHSJSH IM SORRY BUT TLDR-ing MY THOUGHTS ABT THEM THIS WAY = once u open a book, the stage and ending has been set for the characters, theyre essentially “doomed” to that ending; no matter how much you flip the coin it will always land on tails/ heads and it will always be one of them and never be other but for the one who flip the coin, they may ruled out themselves out of the possibility that they’re (one of) the anomaly and could change sth around them

relationship guidelines - this one is a manhwa about these 2 girls who have been friends since they were born !!! myeong in is aloof and rarely shows her emotions and is 'cold hearted' and ji won is cute and quirky and super flirty and overall a dumbass 101, somehow they find themselves kissing eachother and their relationship becomes ........ something they cant seem to understand themselves jsdhdkjh, i rly love this manhwa its so funny and so pretty and the characters r so fun and relatable its so lovely !!!! the pacing is so good too

not so shoujo love story - fellas this one . this one is SO good omfg its the funniest webtoon ever like the humour is just complete crack kldhkjh, its abt a 'delinquent' girl called rei who is in love w her senior (called ...ochinchin ... because... he has a massive chin..) and she rly rly wants ur typical shoujo style romance, only, plot twist the one whos in love w her isnt the cool popular senpai guy (who might be ??an alien??) but the perfect pretty vice president hanna !!!! its SO so cute also super slowburn and SO wholesome , also theres so much tension between hanna and rei i dshjsdhfh, the art style is GORGEOUS and the writing is amazing and i just . its a masterpiece pls read it, altho its hilarious its also ... so gentle and so loving i :')

she is still cute today - a slice of life abt wholesome puppy qi lin who is kinda an outcast and how she befriends a girl called cang shu, someone who prioritises her grades over everything else, to the point she barely has a life. its a story abt how they positively influence eachothers lives for the better and heal with eachother through their simple everyday school life(also mega mega mega slowburn, theyre friends rn but also ... gfs somehow lol)  :) its v funny ad cute and pretty also theres a bonus mlm side couple that r rly funny lol, they have a rly gay friendship group and its SO cute and wholesome 

tamen de gushi - i havent caught up w this in ages rip sdhjdsh but its just a cute slice of life abt 2 girls who befriend eachother and one of them has a HUGEEEEEE crush on the other, v v v v wholesome !!!!

still sick! - oh my god . this one is a masterpiece..... its a manga that revolves around shimizu, this super dorky girl that has a secret hobby of drawing doujinshi of her fave wlw ships lmao, and her work place colleague, maekawa, finds out about her secret hobby and barges into her everyday life and changes it in a way that she'll never expect ! from the synopsis it sounds p average but god the LAYERS this manga has . it deals w burn outs and love for drawings and has such wonderful characterisation and writing and the characters r so vibrant and fun and !!!!! the romance !!!!! they r so so so cute like i genuinely got butterflies at this kssdhkjdsh

soulmate - this manhua is so unique !! so its abt this girl who switches body w her teenage self, so she gets to experience falling in love with her lover all over again whilst her teenage self finds herself, 27 years old, and dating a girl ????!!! it deals with regret and first love and loneliness and dreams and just . i was v cautious abt this one because it could get weird but it was so beautiful and respectful and so .. melancholy and yet cute and joyful... the art is also so pretty !!!

bloom into you - this one’s an anime and its about a girl called yuu who believes she isn’t capable of falling in love even though she always longed to have that feeling, and then she meets her senpai, touko. somehow they get into a relationship where they brush hands and kiss secretly in the student council room after school and know all of eachothers secrets, touko tells her not to fall in love with her and yet yuu... doesn’t even understand her own feelings. ok as for vibes, its just TENDER tender TE n d er and . sad and it will make u so touch starved oh my god. its a very beautiful story and the soundtrack, colours and general vibe of the story is so nice and the characters r so freaking well written u will melt, i rly rly love this anime alot lmao its one of the very few romance anime i really adore, it doesn’t feel cringey at all and all the characters feel so painfully real ? its so good !!!!!!!!!!

that time I was blackmailed by the class’ green tea bitch - ok ok ik the title sounds wack but this is actually one of my faves rn, it’s just the softest cutest high school love story and it’s the perfect amount of funny and adorable and the art is also super cute and the relationship with the mc and her mum is so cute I’m 🥺 also it goes into other topics like academic pressure and loneliness (not too deeply tho) and it’s just a v good read … as of now it’s ongoing and has 17 chapters :)

i have some more i havent read yet :’) but these ones r 10/10 i hope u enjoy them !!!

1) HELLO ANON THANK YOU AND I LOVE U TOO hmmm i actually do it by changing the colors around until i find one that I like LOL and most of my ocs have actually gone through color palette changes over the years! I really dont feel like there should be any rules about what colour must go with what but I think it’s good to limit your palette? Bc a char with too many colours can be overwhelming! It’s also more interesting to do an uneven ratio of colours rather than say 33.3% red, 33.3% orange and 33.3% blue. I personally really like accents! I.E. having a lot of one color complemented with a dash of one or 2 other colors… BUT either way I rly think it’s best that you do a sketch of your char and color the hair/ eyes/ whatever other parts on a diff layer, and then play with it using Hue/Saturation or color balance option in photoshop to see what you like!! 

2) omfg ANON YOU ARE TOO NICE BUT I AM GLAD FOR ANYONE THAT LIKES MY DOODLES IT HARDLY HAS TO BE EVERY SINGLE PERSON ON TUMBLR!! I actually turned off my follower count with an add-on bc it stresses me to see the number LMAO i think a lot of my followers here followed me for DC/ SNK art though im SORRY I HAVENT DRAWN ANY IN SUCH A LONG TIME

OH Some of them are quick ideas but for a lot of them I do flesh them out with Vonna!! We generally do plan out a whole plot and talk about some of the interactions they would have and stuff! And personally I do have a story/ various scenes in my head when I draw those!! HI!! THANK YOU!! I think part of it is that I do a pre sketch before the actual sketch so I generally have a good idea of where my lines are supposed to go + I also draw on a really big canvas and I resize my art before I post it!! Up close my lines are much less clean looking :’D

I usually do one and even sometimes 2 sketches before my actual ‘sketch’. I think it’s important to have a clear image of what you want your drawing to look like in order to have clear lines and stuff

they’re rly shaky cause my hand shakes sometimes when i draw SO I ZOOM OUT AND SAVE THE DRAWING at like 30% of its actual size to get neater-ish looking lines!! :
