saying that no one actually likes her. that she's stupid and everyone hates her. lying and saying she's fine. apologizing for "making a scene" and taking up space. feeling like she's performing something.

My jumbled thoughts of Sevika

I feel like Sevika has mixed feelings on “weakness”. As a child, she got hurt and made sure that she was strong enough to never be hurt like that again. Now thats she an adult, she can’t help but grimace at things like crying and stuffed animals.

People crying makes her uncomfortable and frustrated, she was never allowed to cry even as a child. She has to stop herself from threatening crying people with “i’ll give you something to cry about.” Like how she was told as a child.

She finds herself holding a stuffed animal toy, its soft plush fabric warming her cold hand. It reminds her of her stuffed animal toy from a long time ago. She remembered how stupid she was for treasuring that thing, the last possession of her mother’s. She doesn’t need it to comfort her in the dark anymore. Now she has men and women at her feet and a metal arm. She switches the stuffed animal into her metal hand and there it feels more comfortable… she didn’t like how soft and welcoming that stuffed toy was. Now in her other hand, it felt foreign and felt like the nuisance she knew it was. She’ll chuck it as far as possible away from her. She needs a drink and a cigar.
