I come bearing my own techno qsmp AU in which he is, alas, not entirely alive. His mind and generally is soul is sort of guardian to Tallulah and Chay, gently guiding them with wordless advice- they catch sight of pink tresses out the corner of their eyes but nothing more.

Meanwhile, in an attempt to keep a failsafe to mitigate the Angel of Death they’ve just acquired for the Island, the Federation attempted and successfully created a False Techno (who I call Fakenoblade). After being granted memories of the real Techno’s exploits and trained to think and fight and act like him, he ‘escapes’ and makes his way to Quesadilla Island.

Fakenoblade thinks he fought to escape the Feds when really they staged it all, allowing him to grow close with the residents and eggs until eventually everything is revealed. Something or another happens and, thanks to Chay + Lulah, they push Technoblade’s consciousness into Fakenoblade, effectively returning him to life.

(Phil would be feeling so many emotions throughout it all: suspicion, joy, distress, relief, guilt, etc)

at first Phil is so relieved to see his best friend, immediately taking him in with no doubt - food, tools, weapons, armour, whatever he needs Phil will give. his hatred for the federation goes so high, even more than before once he‘s told by Techno what happened AND GOD i feel bad for Phil not yet knowing that this isn’t his Techno. that this is just a plan of the federation to keep him within their grasp on him FUCK RAAAAH

even once chayanne & tallulah help push the consciousness of the actual Techno into the fake one to technically return him to life.. i cannot even begin to imagine what Phil feels.

happy?? he just got his actual best friend back- guilt of having been so blind to all of this, letting the federation get him to believe all of their lies in the first place and being reason for the situation even happening.

suspicion, disbelief, questioning his reality - is this actually Techno? how would he know?

god this would break Phil because he wouldn‘t be able to logically prove that this is Techno. his Techno - what he thought was originally Techno was the same, had the same memories and personality and everything, so how is he supposed to trust that this isn‘t just another set up plan?

QSMP Characters as O My Heart by Mother Mother

Im back with another album breakdown. I really love this album and hope y’all enjoy the comparisons.

He has mentioned recently how he feels like he has lost everything and this song seems to me like a song about a heart that can never heal

Burning Pile: Foolish

“All my troubles on a burning pile, all lit up and I start to smile. If I catch fire then I’ll change my aim,” is very “The only problem going this route right now is that it could end up being a lonely road, and I'll just simply have too hold all the pain of it deep within me. But that's okay. Cause eventually it'll all pay off... I just have to be very.. very.. patient. Like we've always been,” coded.

Body of Years: Cellbit

I know next to nothing about Cellbit’s past and implied lore but the things I do know make me think of this song. A man of many horrors.

Try to Change: Quackity

At least at one point, he would say he has changed, but he is relatively consistently heartless toward the eggs, trying to get an egg as his own, pulling a stunt of some sort…

Wisdom: Slime

Vibes… also the line “And I feel useless. Don’t think I know how to do this. Once I was told but I like to fidget and miss out on good advice.”

Body: Leonarda

I feel like little explanation is needed outside of this quote “I want to become a robot so that I will never die and can always take care of my parents.”

Ghosting: Jaiden

This song feels like her relationship with Roier after the loss of Bobby. Come on, “This is why I have decided to leave your house and home unhaunted. You don’t need poltergeists for sidekicks.” She loved him (platonically) but felt like a burden and the only reason she stayed as long as she did was their child.

Hayloft: Roier and Leonarda

Am I saying this because this song is literally just “My daddy’s got a gun” repeated and Foolish loves his gun? Literally, none of the rest of the song is relevant.

Wrecking Ball: Slime (again)

Slime in his murder arc was very wreckless, poor thing. Pay attention to lines such as “You gotta wanna break the hearts of all those pretty porcelain dolls” (eggs) and “I make a fist and not a plan.” But also the ending being sweet and soft feels like JuanaFlippa resting a hand on his shoulder or something.

Arms Tonite: Tilin / JuanaFlippa

SWEEPING EDGE BUG KIDDOS! Aka this song songs like the eggs haunting Slime and Mariana. Especially with Flippa and the line “tried to escape the afterlife” cause miss girl got a second chance and died at the hand of the same person. (Added after reading liveblogs! SLIME BEING HAUNTED BY FLIPPA AGAIN EXCEPT ITS CODE AND IM GOING TO CRY THIS SONG IS SO THEM CODED!)

Miles: Vegetta

IDK guys… His house is the only one you really have to cross a desert to get to. Plus he has his family with Foolish now is pretty calmed down since the beginning of the season ‘drama’.

Sleep Awake: The Order

Baghera (aka miss extremely careful with evidence): “I throw the evidence into a trunk and drop it in the sea”

Roier (I feel like he has paranoid Cell is gonna be taken away): “I sleep with one eye on the bedroom door, the other on the cake”

Cellbit (enigma = royal flush in my mind, the next big break): “I sleep with one eye on my royal flush, the other on the take”

Bad (Grim Reaper himself can’t let himself get sucked up into the darkness now, can he?): “I go to bed with all my lights turned on, so I don't slip away”

SMP stands for survival multi-player!! if you want to start with QSMP i would start with this video (i hope it links you to the rest of the playlist, if not you can go to the channel, click on playlists, and it should be the one titled QSMP with about 200 shortish videos) this is a quick 9 minute introduction of all the members who joined right at the beginning of the server

the next video should be wilbur's first day on the server, but you can jump around and watch just about anything. the egg arc is where the creators start to roleplay more instead of just messing around, so you can skip ahead to that if you want! i haven't watched a majority of the videos on the playlist, i mostly just read through the wiki and absorbed information through the fandom and fanfictions lol but it's up to you!!! your experience watching the QSMP is yours to curate!!! if you want to know some some major plot points and then dive headfirst into watching more recent stuff, i can give you a brief summary if you'd like and catch you up on current events!! if you'd like to stay caught up, many of the creators stream on Twitch on the QSMP just about every day, and ofc you don't have to watch EVERYONE, that would be INSANE, but people do talk about the lore in the qsmp tag every day and looking through it can get you caught up fast.

if you're primarily an English speaker, some good streamers you can watch to keep up with things would be FitMC, Tubbo, JaidenAnimations, and BadBoyHalo. i do highly recommend watching creators of other languages too, since there is an in-game translator and some creators like Roier, Etoiles, and Bagi often have theirs set to translate to English while they're speaking their own languages. i personally highly recommend Cellbit, he's a Brazilian streamer and his QSMP character is one of my favourites!!! there are translators on tumblr and twitter who often translate some of his dialogue into English, and his streams are very fun to watch even if you don't speak Portuguese. Another Brazilian creator is Forever, who's really involved in the recent roleplay and has such an awesome character arc happening right now, like oh my GOD dude he's insane for this, the amount of effort he is putting into this server is NUTS!!!

and of course, Quackity!! he's the owner of the server and his character is also amazing. here's his first video on the SMP! you can scroll through his channel and find more QSMP videos pretty easily. his videos and streams are hilarious so i would genuinely recommend watching him, the stuff he's done with this server is so so cool

OH WOW ok!!! alright. sit down because i am about to learn you a thing!!!! so MCYT stands for "minecraft youtube" and it actually encompasses a HUGE amount of youtubers/twitch streamers, minecraft smps, content, and storylines. A LOT of different creators fall under the MCYT umbrella, but the SMPs are probably what you're talking about, because those are FULL of lore. you don't have to watch one to understand another, although some might make references to other SMPs. think of it like... huge DND campaigns but in minecraft. they roleplay as fictionalized versions of themselves and do a lot of improv acting

the servers i'm into right now are the DSMP and QSMP!! the DSMP was a server owned by Dream (who is kind of a shit person which is part of the reason the server ended) but the storyline created by creators on the server like Wilbur Soot, Tommyinnit, Technoblade, and a lot of others was AMAZING. they created this insane story about a small nation who went to war, there was a revolution, an election that resulted in a dictatorship, and so much more. oh my god it was so cool. someone named EvanMC made videos summarizing some major plot points (playlist here), but if you REALLY want to get into it, there's a channel called Blueberry TV that's making full recap videos, and the playlist (here) has like. over 300 videos so far. BUT NOT ALL OF THEM ARE NECESSARY TO UNDERSTAND EVERYTHING!! you can skip ahead at a lot of points, or even just find a single creator's character you like and watch vods or videos from their point of view. i would highly recommend Wilbur Soot, Tommyinnit, Tubbo, BadBoyHalo, or Quackity because their roleplay was consistently just absolutely insane, but i'd also recommend POVs like Fundy, Captain Puffy, DropsByPonk, or Jack Manifold if you want to explore different viewpoints! I know Wilbur and Tommy have made edited down videos of many of their DSMP vods, so that might be a decent place to start if you're curious (although searching for those in the mess of their other videos might be a hassle lol), or you can skim the wiki if you'd like (here!!!) it officially ended i think late 2022-early 2023 (i can't remember) but the official canon ending to the overall story is really up in the air, so it's mostly left to fan interpretation now.

THE QSMP IS SO GOOD oh my god. it's a huge multilingual server that started around March and is still going!! it was started by Quackity, and the plot really started when a bunch of eggs appeared on the island and the members were paired up to take care of them, with one English speaking creator and one Spanish speaking creator to a pair. eventually five Brazilians were invited to the server, and later some French creators as well!! they're all trapped on this one island by an organization called the Federation, and no one knows exactly what's going on, but there are mysteries to solve and monsters to fight and lots of found family elements in the overall plot. if you want some general recaps, the official QSMP Info channel has a couple videos recapping stuff (link here) and there are channels like Angry Thomas that make bite sized videos (like 5-20 minutes) about some general plot points. Quackity ofc has his own vod channel where you can watch his streams and learn about his character's lore. you can also skim the wiki (link here) to familiarize yourself with some of the characters. if all else fails you can probably make a post asking for the plot and throw it in the qsmp tag here on tumblr and you'll get a decent handful of people in your notes giving you a sparknotes summary. we love talking about our weird little minecraft guys

The DSMP and QSMP are so good in their own ways, the DSMP for its insane improv roleplay and the QSMP for its crazy planned events and and the way it brings multiple communities and cultures together!!! you don't have to watch one to understand the other. i suggest you only get into one at a time because they are both crammed with backstory and lore. i'd recommend getting into QSMP first because it's still going, and once you feel more or less caught up, you can probably test the DSMP waters. they can both get quite heavy in their stories, so if you need a list of trigger warnings or anything feel free to ask and i can def provide :3 if you're intrigued by either of them but don't know exactly where to start, i'd suggest the Blueberry TV playlist for DSMP and the Angry Thomas videos or the Quackity VODs for QSMP. see if there are any creators you enjoy watching and go from there!!!! consuming the stories of these SMPs is a bit difficult because there's so much content, but no one is expected to watch every single video or stream by every creator. a lot of the story gets passed around through word of mouth through the fandoms, so don't feel bad if you feel like you miss anything!!! if you have questions, you can ask just about anyone in the fandoms and they'll probably have an answer!!!
