I like both but prefer the former#Like. #personal#delete later#maybe i'll talk about it tomorrow but it's a really cool anime and i'm forever shocked that it was made by trigger#a full cast of teenage girls and absolutely zero fanservice or sexualizing! what a concept!#also i was looking at designs for the bg student characters because they designed a whole student body to fill the school and gave them#names and nationalities and personalities and. there's a middle eastern student who wears a hijab/niqab! how cool is that!!#i don't think i've ever seen rep like that in a mainstream anime and speaks to how they genuinely gave a shit about diversity#you read about all these bg character's details and realize how much they cared about this anime's world#there are these twin from india who are both very protective of their smaller roommate and will get into fights about taking care of her#none of them have lines in the anime#there is a fat side character who is sweet and unapologetically just likes to eat and everyone is friends with her#there is a canonically butch character and an entire episode about her crossdressing as a man

I know it is trying to be emotionally resonate and the flute is pretty but...#It really does have the energy of “Okay thanks for listening to my tragedies and traumas. I don't know how to segue out of this.”#This madam lan design is inspired by Qourmet's design! Really good stuff that I was not able to do more with in this one panel.#Speaking of...I know it is ambiguous on purpose and we are only told what happened through LXC's POV but...#I always interpreted madam lan's passing as a suicide. I think LXC was told it was illness to soften the blow.#She was stuck in a house with maybe a servant coming by to give her food. One day a month she saw her children.#Of course she was warm and loving in their memories-#She was trying to give them a version of her that would be remembered as such. She wanted to protect them from the truth.#She did her best but she was already dead a long time ago. She must have felt like a ghost haunting a house.#Love to her was waiting. And both her boys inherited that view of love.

Again as if they could fit into the show itself#there arent a lot of skin toned ponies walking around equestria for a reason... it's uncanny unfortunately#that often makes fan ponies all follow the exact scame scheme of light body + dark hair#they get really indistinguishable so go wild!!!! mix things up!!!#sorry Im passionate about animal character design and ponies#tubby art

Real fan art is coming one day, but for now I really wanted to see if it was feasible to simplify their gradients into something that would fit a simple style like Bluey’s 😅

#aaaaaaaaaAAA#they're so precious I can't ;m;#I still haven't watched Bluey so I can't really comment on show accuracy but to me these look spot on#if you ask me the gradients work really well#if you look at them and unfocus your eyes they look like their normal markings#Vasco might benefit from having one more band between the base yellow and the lighter brown but that's totally optional and might take away#from the simplicity of his design#their colors are so true to the way I color them which is both cool and kind of uncanny#like Machete's pink details which in reality are very peachy almost closer to light orange than true pink#and their colored linearts which use the same colors I use for my colored linearts#I don't know I thought that was really cool attention to detail#they're adorable#thank you!#gift art#apupcalyptic#own characters#Machete#Vasco#their lives would be a lot less stressful in bluey universe I reckon

#ask reply#genuinely I was pretty proud of Charlie’s look#so the fact so many folks liked her made me so happy#I really wanted her to stand out even against other ghost kids#so she got this monochromatic look to her#like she’s been a ghost so long she’s lost her colours#along with that she resembles the puppet more#almost like they fused into one by this point#I really tried to make her both ghostly and eerie#but also cute and friendly#so I think I found that perfect balance#I’m glad one of yall took note of her oversized sleeves#I thought it was a cute design and kept that ghost vibe to her#I gotta draw her again soon!!#we all love Charlie Emily here 🖤🤍
