How about jumin having an argument with mc about rika who is back but with malice intentions but everyone didn't notice especially Jumin because he still has feelings for her even though he is with mc. Rika and her followers went to kidnapped mc and tries to kill her (beaten, force the elixer on mc) because she felt threatened by mc. How would jumin react to this when he finds mc pretty beaten up? Would he be traumatised? Would he cried? Will he hate rika? I love to see a desperate jumin

Because this is very specific I felt headcanons wouldn’t be enough, so I triedto write a drabble with a different approach because you already wrote half of the storyyourself xD I didn’t want to just write exactly what you said but with prettierwordscause I started this while I was in class and I was pretty bored, Iactually ended up with a fic lol. I hope you’ll like it!

PS: In my opinion Jumin gave up on his feelings on Rika, if there really wereany, pretty early. We know how strong his will is, and so are his morals. Hewouldn’t let himself think of the lover and later the fiancé of his best friend,like ever. But let’s imagine hedidn’t give up on those feelings for the sake of your scenario o/

The CEO of C&R could never be moregrateful for his life. He had a beautiful wife that was all he ever imaginedher to be. He proposed to her in public and he would do it again, any time,with no second thoughts. He finally had someone to call his own, with no fearthat someone else might take her away from him. If she ever wanted to leave, hewould make her stay. Somehow, in any way, she will not leave.He won’t be alone again.The discovery of more lies from his friend didn’t settle well with Jumin, Rikawas alive and Jumin felt like he was losing control over everything. Hestarting coming to bed way too late, his smile wasn’t as warm as it used to beand his touch was absent pretty often, way too often. They used to share smilesand sweet nothings during the day and the bed during the night, and now itfeels like he is barely home. What happened?His thoughts were poisoned, and no matter how much he loved MC he needed timealone to sort them out. Rika was alive and he should be angry. Everything shewas doing was illegal, and there were innocent people involved. She didn’treach out to him and she lied and hid. But he still felt like maybe he canhelp, maybe she will come back. Why was she in his thoughts? Why did heremember the exact way her golden locks shone in the sunlight, the way shesoftly smiled and the little tilt of her head from that day? Why does he hearthose words so clear even after all this time, “Maybe if I met you first…”?

After they discovered the first glimpse ofMint Eye, every trace of it disappeared. They had a hacker just as good asSeven, and somehow the old building that had their logo was now completelyempty. She escaped and evaded him once again.

He didn’t know it frustrated him, for notbeing able to do the right thing, or if he felt relieved. Maybe, just maybe,she will call. She will ask for forgiveness and will ask him for help. Would heable to do it? Would he be able to forgive her? And then what?

Those were the questions tangling around histhroat every night when he slid into bed next to his beautiful, sleeping wife.

And then, the worst happened.

When MC disappeared he could only blamehimself. He should have loved her better, treat her better, spend more timewith her. It was only his fault and now she was gone. Zen was telling him theywill find her; Jaehee was constantly trying to reassure her boss that thingswill be fine. There was only one thought as he drank the last sip from the Chateau MargauBottle: she left on her own. He deserved this, letting anangel to escape through his fingers just because he kept thinking of the crowon the fence. Even so, the entire C&R was working to find her. Herlingering scent in their house was the only thing that kept him sane, that madehim keep his hope. RFA was on alert and he sent bodyguards for everyone. Hecan’t afford to lose his family, no; the thought itself wasn’t allowed toexist.

Blessed be the day when he found her. The knotin his chest was threatening to split him open with every step he took on MintEye’s halls. Every sleepless night, every empty bottle and every grievingthought was coming back to him. He was afraid, he was happy, he was feeling somuch that for the first time in his life, he felt like puking.

On his way there, between the policemen andthe doctors, between the followers who were fighting and those who were crying,happy to be finally free, he saw her. Rika was wearing a dark blue and whiterobe, and she was nothing he remembered. Her eyes that used to be the color ofgrape leaves were now sharp and cruel, like poison. Her full hair that used tobath into the sunlight was now pale and lifeless. Their eyes met and he feltnothing. There was nothing behind her furrowed eyes and there was nothing inhis chest. Then, a sudden feeling was tickling his core. He felt like a huge weightwas raised from his shoulders, he felt free and he smiled.

Jumin smiled at her in the middle of all ofthese people because she no longer had power over him, he smiled at himselfbecause he knew what he had to do now and he smiled for everybody to see thatnow, after all this time, he was finally a new man ready to forget the past andbuild towards his future.

His love, his future, his life, now it alldepended on one single person: MC.

His future was waiting in a big ceremony roomthat looked creepily grim, with a big chair in the middle that he assumed itbelonged to The Savior, Rika’s self-chosen title. He made his way through thesea of doctors to finally see her, sitting down with her head bowed and herarms lifelessly hanging on her sides. MC’s eyes were unfocused and she lookedpale and skinny, bruises flourishing from underneath her bangs and under theblanket that was covering her frail shape. But she was alive.

His heart shattered at the sight, and he fellto his knees. “Just few minutes, leave me alone with her.” his voicealmost begged and hesitantly the doctors left, none of them complaining infront of Mr. Han. Not when they saw him like this.

"My wife…“ he begun,cupping her soft hand bruised with green and purple in his bigger ones. She wasstill starring into nothingness while his heart ached to see her looking athim.

"I am sorry. I am sorry foreverything I did, and for everything I did not. I love you, I always had, and Iwill always will. I can only beg to God you will allow me to stay by your sideonce again.” he muttered every word with pained voice. Bringing her handto his lips he pressed a soft kiss on the damaged skin.

"My threads have grown spikessince you left and they were clenching closer to my heart with every secondthat I could not have you in my arms. I missed you, my wife, and I loveyou.“ he exhaled against her hand and he was ready to get up, when herother hand came to cup his cheek. His eyes grew so big when she smiled againsther inflamed cheek, like he saw an angel unfolding her wings in front of hisvery own eyes.

"I forgive you.” she saidin her weak voice and it was enough to make his eyes glossy, pulling her in atight hug and letting go only when the doctors urged him to.

He was happy, and he was free.

Bemine-Bucky’s 400 500?!? Follower/Birthday Weekend Sleepover!

Thank you so incredibly much for being a follower of mine. When I started this blog and began writing again, I never expected to have so many people interested in what I post. Some of you have genuinely become such good friends of mine, I’ve found new writers whom I absolutely adore and look up to, and I’ve found something that feels fun to do again.

For this sleepover I simply couldn’t help myself and I decided to make it Vine themed. Some of these work well together and others I made fit for the sake of the things I wanted to do lmao so don’t come for me too hard! Vine was such a power house back in its day, and while there are some very iconic tik toks, I wanted to pay homage to our fallen hero. I’ve linked each vine to its respective emoji, that way if you haven’t heard of the vine or just want a refresher you can enjoy it!

Anyone can participate! Anons are welcomed as well. All I ask is that you send me either the corresponding emoji or vine that goes with which game/conversation you’d like to participate in! If none of these tickle your fancy, feel free to simply talk about whatever the hell you want or send in some requests and I’ll try to get to what I can 😊 (because it’s my show, not yours).

What do you personally consider the word counts of "drabbles", "oneshots" and "fics" (+other?)?In my own personal "definition", I usually consider drabbles anything from 50-650 words (anything less is a "blurb"). Oneshots are 651-1100, while "fics" are 1100+. (these are all give or take some). It also depends a bit on the amount of dialogue vs description. (This answer suits)

19. Which do you prefer to write more? Headcanons, Drabbles, Oneshots/Fics, Multi-Chapter Stories, or other? depends on what I'm writing I guess? most of my one shots are in the 2k range

20. Are there any stories you have discontinued? If so, why? I have a Billy Russo x reader fic on A03 I never finished just because i just couldnt figure out an ending for it

21. What is one of your main "pet-peeves" as a writer on tumblr? people who just like a fic, to me as a reader i use like as a bookmark until i can come back and read i try to always reblog whether with a comment or not

22. Do you write at a particular time of day? middle of the night is literally the only time of day i can write

23. Do you listen to music, ambiance/noise, etc. to write, or do you need silence?Sometimes, i like listening to thunderstorms or stuff like that if there's other distractions but if i listen to music i end up getting distracted by it

24. Do you outline your fics at all before writing? depends on what I'm writing

25. Do you post your writing as soon as you finish it, or do you schedule it to come out at a specific time/day? sometimes depends on what time it is when i finish it, if i have time to finish editing and get it posted at that moment or not

I always respond to longer comments or those that give me something to talk about beyond my thanks. The rest I sometimes leave as they are because I always feel like I'm just typing the same reply over and over and I second-guess myself ;;;; Plus I don't like to offset the total numbers too badly with my additions.

I appreciate any and all comments though, from wordless emoji dumps to big paragraphs <3

What’s the fic you’ve written with the angstiest ending?

Definitely Swan Song. It was my first revalink fic and I had a lot of feelings about Link (and Medoh) being left behind at the end of the game, so I needed to get those out somehow ;w; All That You Rely On is also a sad one, but there's more of a silver lining to it.

Do you write crossovers? If so, what’s the craziest one you’ve written?

I've never written one. Not exactly opposed to the idea, though.

Have you ever received hate on a fic?

Thankfully not! I did get one... odd comment where someone went on a mini rant about Hylia for some reason?? But it was perfectly harmless, just disconcerting lol

Whats a WIP that you want to finish but don’t think you ever will?

There's a really elaborate modern AU I have for BOTW with supernatural/thriller elements, but that's a project I don't dare tackle until I get some practice dealing with multi-chapter works. Who knows if it'll ever see the light of day.

What are your writing strengths?

Sensory descriptions and emotions, I believe. People often tell me my writing is comforting to them and I'll never stop being over the moon about it ;w; <333

What are your writing weaknesses?

Complex plots, long stories, writing a wide variety of characters at once, extended dialogue, action scenes, etc. Most of these are due to lack of experience/practice and I'm slowly trying to correct that 💪

What are your thoughts on writing dialogue in other languages in a fic?

If done right, it can certainly add to a story, but it's a delicate balance to strike. It has to be organic and non-invasive, otherwise it becomes a jarring experience for the reader. Also, the writer has to actually understand what they're putting down and, if applicable, how multilingualism works (see: that one infamous hola, ¿qué pasa? klance fic sdgkjfd)

What was the first fandom you wrote for?

Harry Potter. At least that I can remember... I might've written misc Pokemon, Digimon or CCS stuff as a child, who knows! Certainly not my brain!

What’s your favorite fic that you’ve written?

I have a soft spot for Treading Water for multiple reasons. It's my longest fic to date, it was the first story I dared to publish without any beta reading, and that was the first time I joined a fandom event as a writer + worked with someone else's prompt! I quite enjoyed writing Revali's journey of understanding through other people's eyes... and him falling for Link in the process :3c

Oh Mighty Word Wrangler, bestow upon me your wisdom!! ♥ What do you think makes your amazing fics so popular? Apart from your OBVIOUS talent and writing ability, of course ;) Is it frequency of posting? The pairings? Amount of smut? I'm curious :D

HAHAHAH THANK YOU FOR THAT COMPLIMENT YOU SNUCK IN THERE but also I’M PANIC at the thought of trying to answer this question lol?? I mean, this is the question for the ages, right? What makes a fic popular, and how do we boost the engagement with our own work?

Let me preface this reply by saying it is based just on my experiences and hypothesizing, and NOT on anything systematic. Trust me, I’d study this like a science if I could, but then I wouldn’t be writing. HAHA. Also, I’ll mostly focus on popularity on AO3 and not on Tumblr, since I would argue that I’m only “known as a writer” on Tumblr because people followed me here from AO3.

First of all, I want to highlight the fact that popularity does not equal quality, and vice versa. I’ve read some fics that are AMAZING but have little engagement. Some examples are Last Call by @galadrieljones (Ameridan/Lavellan) and this very short Fenris fic that I just read recently. On the other hand, I’ve tried to read some fics that are extremely popular with tons of hits/kudos/comments, but my judgmental ass thinks they’re poorly written and/or poorly characterized. There really is not a clear linear relationship between the quality of a fic and its popularity. (Anyone who is discouraged by the lack of engagement with their work: please keep this in mind.)

Another thing to consider: what do we even mean by popularity? On AO3, is the most popular fic the one with the most hits? The most comments? The most kudos? Even then, a longfic that’s been updated weekly for a year is going to have more hits than a completed oneshot, just by virtue of its length. Frequently updated fics will show up week after week in search results, since AO3’s search results show the most recently updated fics by default. So when I think about popularity… ehhh, I guess I’m thinking about a vague combination of all three of these things – hits, kudos, and comments – while keeping the length of the fic in mind. Given all of this, in the grand scheme of things, my DA fics really aren’t that popular. I didn’t actually do a search because I didn’t want to make myself sad, but if you search my DA pairings (e.g. Fenris/female Hawke) on AO3 by number of hits/comments/kudos, I won’t come up on the first few pages of search results. We’ll come back to the topic of search results later.

ANYWAY. Let’s pretend I’m relatively popular, leaving out the Big Names™ in DA fanfic (whom I won’t tag here because I don’t want to annoy them with a random tag lol). What do I think make my fics somewhat popular? I can think of four things:

Frequency of posting

The combination of fandom and pairing: filling a gap

Varying lengths of fics for a single pairing: something for everyone

I have no idea

Frequency of posting

The most obvious factor that jumps out to me is that I post regularly and frequently. Currently, I update my two ongoing longfics weekly or every other week. When I first got really heavily into Fenris/Rynne Hawke, I was updating almost every day. As I mentioned before, AO3’s search results are shown by the most recently updated fics by default. So if I’m posting regularly, that means my fic is regularly appearing at the top of the list of search results when people search my tags or pairings, which means a higher chance of new readers seeing it and deciding to dive in week after week.

Fandom and pairing: filling a gap

For this point, I’m going to call back to the fandom where I first became “well-known”, which is Horizon Zero Dawn. I’ve written a number of ships for that game, but my OTP is Aloy/Nil. My fic Stormbirds and Stalkers is the second most kudos’ed fic if you search for that pairing on AO3, and the #1 most kudos’ed fic if you exclude fics that are multi-ship (i.e. shipping Aloy with multiple people in a single fic, which is common in the HZD fandom). Importantly, this was a popular pairing in a very small fandom. There weren’t many fics for this pairing at the time, and there weren’t any fics that did what I was doing: a monogamous love story, with explicit smut, that was actually being updated.

Funnily enough, though, my second most popular fic in the HZD fandom is my fic for Aloy/Ikrie. This is an extreme rarepair even within a small fandom, with only 19 Aloy/Ikrie fics on AO3, but my fic for this pairing is the one with the most hits/kudos/comment and is also my one fic with the most subscribers on AO3. Clearly people were excited about this fic and wanted to see more of this pairing.

So what’s the logic here? A rarepair in a small fandom, a popular pairing in a small fandom… what’s the pattern? From what I can tell, a fic will be more popular if people are starved for that content. If a fic falls into that gap where people clearly want MOAR, but MOAR doesn’t yet exist, it’s going to get more engagement. Popular pairings in a small fandom fall perfectly into that gap, as do highly-coveted rarepairs with little existing content. A Dragon Age example of this is my little Cole/Lavellan romance fic. Colemances are quite rare, sexual ones even more so, and I think the reason for my Colemance fic’s popularity is because it fills that gap.

If we return to the rest of my Dragon Age fic, however… [nervous laugh] the logic I just outlined above doesn’t really apply. That takes me to the third factor.

Varying fic lengths for a single pairing: a little something for everyone

Most of my Dragon Age work is for the most popular pairings for the games I’ve played: FenHawke for DA2, and Solavellan for DA:I. (Yes, yes, Cullen is even more popular, but I’ll leave my Cullen/Inquisitor work out of this analysis because I think it’s a special case.) I’ve heard that it’s notoriously difficult to get engagement when you’re writing a popular ship for a bigger fandom, since readers get inundated with choice and your fic can get lost in the shuffle. I would in no way say I’m “popular” for the pairings I write, considering that the most popular Solavellan fics have like… tens of thousands of hits and thousands of comments. Still, I have been surprised and thrilled by the engagement I have gotten in this fandom, especially since I’m kind of a noob to the DA world.

One of the reasons my DA work might be relatively popular is that I write fics of varying lengths and types for my pairings. For Fen and Rynne in particular, I’ve got everything from non-smut oneshots to smutty oneshots to smutty longfics to AUs. There’s a little bit of everything for everyone, and I suspect that someone who was like “I just want a oneshot” might get interested enough by the one thing they read to check out my other work, even if they didn’t start out looking for more than a oneshot. Similarly for Solavellan, and also for Abelas/Lavellan, I’ve got oneshots and a multichapter drabble collection, so there’s something both for the people who are searching for a quick oneshot and for those who are searching for multichapter fics. In short: more variety means more potential to show up in AO3 search results.

Don’t get me wrong; some of my Dragon Age stuff has fallen flat, namely my Blackwall/Lavellan work. That was actually the first DA ship I ever wrote for. The smutty oneshot collection has been relatively popular in terms of hits and kudos, but the two little multichapter mini-fics I wrote for Baewall have had very little attention, and I don’t really know why. Baewall isn’t the most popular ship in the fandom, I know, but it still doesn’t really explain the popularity of the smutty oneshots versus the mini-fics, which are also smutty.

Which brings me to my final point…

I have no idea.

LOL. Seriously though. I’m sure there are other things at play that I’m not aware of, so maybe this can open a little discussion! What do you guys think? Any other theories on why some fics get more popular than others?

And since they did a paragraph instead of a sentence...👀 y’all know how I love to overshare while working on stuff, and I’m working on multiple things at once, most of which are different parts of my mdzs mer!au series...

This is kind of...my current main wip is actually combining 4 finished oneshots/drabbles into one piece and adding transitions and filler scenes to make it flow as best I can and make it a more coherent multi-chapter piece (who am I kidding though, I’ll end up probably doubling the overall word count in new added scenes), here’s the first paragraph of that:

The sound of cricket song fills Wei Wuxian’s ears, the clear, starry sky is filling his vision, and Lan Zhan’s hair is like silk against his fingers. It’s probably the most peaceful and content he’s ever felt. A moment he wishes could go on and on, endlessly.

But, since that was already technically finished as a standalone piece before I started combining these pieces, then the more correct ‘first line/s’ of this wip would be the new scene (which I’m still working on) I wrote to connect that first piece to the second one.

In which case:

Wei Wuxian stared at the ceiling for some time, his reaching hand long fallen back onto the bed. Another dream of seeing Lan Zhan again. Like all the others, it had felt so real. He had stopped visiting that pier in the hopes of seeing Lan Zhan again, but his mind kept sending him back there, night after night.

Still driving myself nuts over the tense change and transitioning it, but...present works really well for that initial dream sequence and I don’t want to re-write it XD wouldn’t be an issue if the first moments of waking weren’t also in present tense, making the transition super awkward, but I refuse to change them because it’s so beautiful and sad, I can’t mess with that 🤷‍♂️ I’ll just probably smack a chapter break between the two and torment my poor readers by leaving it on those sad lines for a few days before uploading the next chapter 😅

Oh man, though, if this was a ‘last line’ of your wip meme, y’all readers of my mer!au would lose your shit, I still squeal and flail whenever I look at the last lines of the last part that’s going into this multi-chapter set XD

Lan Xichen turned his face into the breeze. It ruffled his hair a little, what few strands weren’t smoothly pressed back, at least. It was still an almost uncomfortable sight, how similar their features were.

Wei Wuxian waited until Jiang Cheng was out of sight, and then his shoulders slumped. He lifted his hands to cover his face and inhaled slowly. He could barely contain himself, remembering Jiang Cheng caring for him like a younger brother, or maybe even a son. After the suspicion had passed, at least, but even then, he had been kinder to Wei Wuxian than he would have expected.

I went and started a mini-follow up to my 27k de-aged wwx fic that I may or may not have finished and may or may not still end up deleting, which was itself an alternate of an unposted oneshot focusing on lwj and lxc’s part of this same story and which I may or may not end up deleteting since I didn’t like it and that’s why I went and wrote jc and wwx’s side...sometimes it just be like that 🤷‍♀️ and god i want to write jin ling’s pov of the whole fucking thing too but yikes NO i need to stop

Kasen turned from the sheets he had just hung to dry, just for a moment, to see if Ookurikara’s distasteful state continued. He was resolved to say something if it did. There was only so much he could stand, and there was established etiquette for such things.

Whoops, also started a Kurikasen soulmate au cos I was throwing soulmate headcanons around with someone at like 2 in the morning and that’s a surefire recipe to get me writing (and in fact that’s how I started writing kurikasen in the first place, we were talking about them and I went onto ao3 and saw there 3 fics about them, went and was like OMG WHY to them, starting headcanoning with them and then hey next thing I knew I’d written 2 drabbles and it was 3am). But then while I started writing it we kept talking about it...so I sort of plotted the whole thing out and now my interest in writing it has plummeted so I’ll probably never finish it...but I’ve still been tinkering with it anyway...

“Pick herbs?”

“Yes. Herbs, mushrooms, anything. Just send him out of the castle for a day or two. If he stays a moment longer he’s going to cause an incident and—” Arthur stopped speaking abruptly.

Gaius raised both his eyebrows. “You are the prince, your highness. If you wish him to be gone for a time, why not order him yourself?”

“Oh, if there’s one thing I’ve learned about my useless servant, it’s that the only person he will actually listen to is you, Gaius,” Arthur said, sounding uncharacteristically bitter.

Sooo, @april-thelightfury115 I haven’t forgotten I owe you a merthur fic, and this isn’t technically the start of it, but it’s the start of the doc it’s in, I’m sort of writing bits of it out of order as they come to me. I haven’t written Merthur for so long and I don’t usually write with such a clear idea outline in my head so...we’ll see XD but I’m trying =)

ANYWAY

There’s a couple more small things here and there, I’ve been having such a hard time maintaining focus so I’ve just been hopping around my wips doing a little here and there, but let’s leave it with those 5 main things =)

And, I dunno who to tag @rockmarina and @sarah-yyy come to mind...anyone who wants to be tagged in things like this leave a reply and I’ll note it down somewhere for future reference, I really can’t rely on my memory to recall who I know that writes, and the writers I’ve been talking to lately are all on discord or twitter...and I’m never sure if I should tag all the HP writers I know when I do these and they’re not about HP anymore 😅

Paige’s 2k Challenge/Bash!

Hello and welcome to my 2k Follower Celebration/Bash! First and foremost, thank you for getting me to 2k!! This blog has more followers than my main blog. But I write for Thor so I get it. We’re hungry.

Secondly, the challenge! I wanted to do something more creative than just a simple writing challenge...but I think that’s gonna end up being more in the execution than this prompt list. And by that, I mean that I want y’all to get as creative as possible. Do whatever you want (within reason): one-shot/drabbles, feature-length fics, mini-series, letters, etc.

So here are the specifics:

Up to two prompts per person, two people per prompt.

Should enough prompts be open by Wednesday, September 19th, I’ll think of something else to add because right now I’m out of ideas.

Send me an ask with the prompt you want, the character(s) you want to include, and maybe a backup or two if you think you’ll need it (I’ll let you know if someone gets to your choice ahead of you though).

If I don’t respond to your ask within 24 hours, send it again.

Tag me in the body of your post and make sure to tag #paiges2kbash so I can find your entry! (If I don’t respond within 24 hours, send it to me in a message.)

If you’re gonna write smut, you’ll have to be 18 or over and the character you write for needs to be as well.

All Marvel characters are on the table - even ones I don’t normally write for. This is about what you want, as my way of giving back to you for following me!

I am 100% cool with and encouraging you to play with the genre your prompt comes from. You see something in the Angst category, but you think it’ll be cute and fluffy too? GIVE. IT. TO. ME.

Word minimum: 500. Total. There is no maximum.

I prefer Reader Insert fics, but I’m also cool with OCs. PLAY WITH THAT PERSPECTIVE BABE!

as for movies, i love the greatest showman! it hits a bit too close to home but i always love the goosebumps i get whenever i watch it :) next would be thor ragnorok, which ive mentioned before djjdjs but its just really funny and love it sm, and it was loki's turning point so bonus marks. black widow is also a new favourite <333 though i felt terrible when they were being tortured as kids, but it really showed a new perspective on natasha and her past. i also really like the notebook! everything was so sweet it rly nearly brought me to tears jsbdjdjjsh and finally the shawshank redemption! it was something i didn't rly think i would like, but i was really pleasantly surprised lmao. everything was pretty depressing but it also kinda blew my mind away :D

for songs, my no.1 song rn is nct dream's irreplaceable, idk why exactly but i love that song. i also have a thing for songs that are similar genres to baekhyun's un village, nct jaehyun's try again and jungkook's still with you, so those are three more though im not really sure if they're really the same genre anyways and its been almost a year now and i still cant get over how nct 127's boom makes me feel 💕

out of touch, out of time by @/by-moonflower // i read this months ago and my heart literally still sinks whenever it even crosses my mind. i don't think i've ever been so emotionally impacted by a fic before and this is my go to rec for anyone who wants to FEEL something. i don't wanna go in depth as to spoil it, so i'll just leave it at that for now.

outlasting the universe by @/by-moonflower // you know what i'm just gonna link their entire masterlist because all of their works (even the short drabbles) are just literary masterpieces. the way they write makes you feel so alive?? and everything just speaks for itself and is so authentic. they make you feel like you're wandering amidst a ghibli film, periof. authentic is the best word i can use to describe their work and this fic is just the definition of beautiful.

bluff and nonsense by @/thepixelelf // THIS FIC. it's my go to rec overall. it was so memorable had such good flow and just genuinely so genuine?? i have no other words to describe it, it's just so ,,, lovely. the plot takes you on a journey and it's woven together so seamlessly.

in a span of three months by @/viastro // i won't be surpprised if you've read this one already because this author is a true staple in the carat writing community and honestly all of their works are simple timeless. this one really hit the mark for the me the most though and i finished it all in one sitting.

wish by @chocosvt // goodness i'm a fan of hoshi fics aren't i? this one was also really memorable for me and i have read it several times!! friends to lovers but they really made the trope their own and added lots of twists and tadbits that gave it so much charm!! i would also rec this as a starter fic for svt :))

Rules: Answer all 21 questions, let the one who tagged you know you answered and then tag your writing pals!

I was tagged by the amazing @justsomebucky forever ago and I’m sorry I’m lat to everything but here are my answers. :)

The Works:

1. Which is the imagine you’re most proud of? Oh, gosh. I might have to say In the Arms of Justice. I’m still kind of amazed that I finished it and that I pulled it off with very little planning initially. heh. Leave This Town kinda has my heart, too.

2. Which is your least favourite? Hm. I guess maybe Karaoke Night? It was one of my first one-shots and I like some things about it but I could definitely do it better now. Ah, well. Never hurts to have a reminder of where you started.

3. If you were to recommend one to read to your mum/mom? My mom has actually read the first part of Mini Matchmaker and she liked it. She said it reminded her of a Hallmark Christmas movie, which I’m totally fine with. haha. She wants to read more but I’m hesitant. For good reason.

4. Which one would you consider re-writing? None. I figure I wrote them at a certain time for a reason and I’ve improved over time so it’s okay to recognize that and move on.

5. Biggest regret in an imagine? Typos after posting, of course. As far as plot lines and stuff? None that I can think of.

6. Biggest success with an imagine? I think In the Arms of Justice was the first where I got a lot of comments and interaction, which was fun and exciting. I wasn’t sure if it only meant notes, considering the next question...

7. Your imagine with the most notes? Cheap Thrills. One of my late night ramblings that turned out to be pretty fun. :)

8. Your imagine with the least notes? Eh. One of my drabbles, probably.

9. What do you think makes a good imagine? Tips? Passion. I really think it’s important to love what you’re writing because it shines through to the readers. It’s important to have proper grammar and spelling as well. With reader inserts, keeping the reader vague helps as well. WE all want to be able to slip into the story easily.

10. When’s the next update on your works? Just started a new Lumberjack!Steve series! The Night We Met updates every Monday at 3pm EST. :)

11. Number of followers before you started writing and after? When I changed my URL and focused on Marvel, I think I had 160 followers? Now I have over 4k, which is just amazing. I am in awe of all of you lovely people. <3

1. Which character do you love writing for? Bucky and Steve mostly, but I love to branch out. Tony is fun and always a challenge. I hope to keep growing as a writer and stretching my skills.

2. Which character do you dislike writing for? None so far!

3. What’s your favourite AU to write for? I don’t think I’ve written a lot of the same AU specifically. I do have two food-related series in the works that are AU. A restaurant and then a bakery fic, both AU. Does that count?

4. What’s your least favourite AU to write for? I don’t think I could ever do supernatural or horror AUs. <----stealing the previous answer, I agree. Not my wheelhouse.

5. What do you hope never gets requested? I don’t take requests so...

6. What do you wish was requested more? See #5

7. Thoughts on writing Smut/POC/Curvy/MxM/FxF? I wouldn’t say never, but highly unlikely. I’ve thought about a curvy reader and still have notes from an idea I had but we’ll see.

8. Which account is your biggest inspiration in writing? So SO many. I can’t even list them. I’m so inspired and uplifted by countless wonderful writers that I’ve had the privilege of encountering. This is a wonderful community and I’ve met some of my best friends here. I will be forever grateful.

9. How long have you been an imagine writer for? Since July 2016, I think. So, a year and half?

10. Any upcoming secret works? Quite a few, actually. :D Some I mentioned a while back in a “Future Fics” post that I still hope to get to, but right now I’m just going with what inspires me.

anyway this is a hella long post lmao s o r r y

2. name your favourite books; why are they your favourite books and do they affect your writing?

my all time favourite is To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee which like,, I feel like it doesn’t really affect my writing but it definitely reignited my love for literature which I guess consequently led to me getting back into writing??

also the A to Z of You and Me by James Hannah literally ripped out my heart and stomped on it and I’m seriously pretty sure I finished it within a few hours of starting it. That one probably does affect my writing because it’s very angsty but also in terms of style it’s pretty fragmented which is kinda the direction I tend to go in so!!!

I’m yet to make it past the first chapter but the style of Anna Karenina by Leo Tolstoy is,,, everything

not technically a book but I’m a theatre major so ofc i’m gonna include a play!!! 4.48 Psychosis by Sarah Kane ripped my heart out, tore it to pieces, threw it on the ground and stomped on it (also side note it took me a solid week and a half to recover from watching it performed live). the style is so abstract and disjointed and strange and fragmented but it’s so so perfect and absolutely heartbreaking (also big ass trigger warning if you’re thinking about looking it up)

ALSO i got about halfway through before life got in the way so I didn’t get the chance to finish it but I absolutely adore the style of Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury and like,,, fun fact I’m actually related to him so ???? i guess writing runs in the family ????? and yeah there are some small parts of that book that I read and thought ‘this sounds like something i would write’ just because i feel like we have pretty similar styles4. why do you like writing? what inspired you to put paper to pen?

I guess I haven’t ever really been happy just living one life or doing one thing at a time so,,,, I write 6. tag any writers that you want to collab with!

hoooooo boy um ?? literally ?? everyone??? but specifically @elsaclack @startofamoment @kasuchi @peraltiagoisland and my girl @johnnydora but for real i wanna write with EVERYONE 8. how many wip do you currently have? which one is your favourite as of the moment?

HA HA HA HA HA for real I literally have like,,, 4 Big Major Fics in the works and then like 11-12 little drabble things also in progress (and by in progress I mean I’ve thought about them and done absolutely nothing else)10. describe your writing in five sentences or less.

sentences suck imma do dot points

- I can’t write chronologically and the beginning of a story is usually the last thing I do

- I have a tendency to write ‘moments’ as opposed to actual full fledged stories if that makes sense? like I find it so much easier to write little ‘scenes’ or slices of life so i often use quite a few time jumps because i find it so difficult to write the stuff that occurs in between big moments

- i always spend so much time and so many words describing the littlest details because those are what i think are most important

- literally everything i write has a song associated with it and i can’t write without music

- i either use really long super flowery descriptive sentences, or sentences with like 3 words in them. there is no in between

12. what do you associate with each of your stories? with your writing in general?

I mean I’ve only published two (2) things on here/ao3 so far but like I mentioned before the music thing so I suppose i associate particular songs with each of my stories?

but also like in general all of my writing comes from a really intense emotional place and like, even if I’m unsure of how my?? mental state?? is doing at a particular time, it comes through in my writing. so if i suddenly only wanna write fluff i know i’m doing okay, whereas i kinda have to be sad to write something angsty like the hellfic14. write a personal history/mini autobiography/author description that you don’t mind sharing.

Neighbourhood Watch by Lally Katz is the first play that actually made me cry just by reading it (like, I didn’t see it live, I cried reading the actual text) because god there’s so much emotion and so many issues that it deals with that are very close to my heart and it reminded me a lot of some people I’m very close to so!!!!18. make a playlist for people to listen to if they want to understand you.

HAHAHAHH WELLLLLL i was meant to be doing nanowrimo this month but then some Things happened so it hasn’t really gotten done. my biggest writing goal at the moment is to make some soliddddd progress on the hellfic (it’s all planned and a lot of the next chapter is written i just,,, can’t make the words work atm) so!!!

Weekly Voltron Fic Recs #41

This is two and a half days’ worth of recs. I had to make a list or it was going to be obnoxiously long. I’m slowly catching up to all my open tabs, but it’s taking some work. You may notice a lot of Lance birthday fics in this post. My writing time has also taken a bit of a hit, unfortunately. Next chapter of The Godsent Wanderer is languishing at nine hundred words. (The Adventure Zone’s finale dropping today did not help.)

Rules: You can find past weekly rec lists here, and non-list recs in my general fic rec tag. Also follow @maychorianrecs for individually tagged posts, the easier to search and reblog. This is stuff I like, and I have a huge bias toward Lance, hurt/comfort, and general fluff, in that order. Gen unless otherwise noted. Please comment on the fics if you read and enjoy them!

Who is in Control? by WildWolf25 Words: 13,995 Author’s Summary: Shiro wished more than anything that they could go back to those days, full of catching grasshoppers on sunny afternoons and rigging up elaborate Goldberg machine-style boobie traps around the house to drop water balloons on Matt’s sister. Back when the biggest conflict they faced was Shiro trying to convince Matt that they couldn’t build a life-sized, fully-functioning robot for their project in the elementary school science fair. Back when their hands were covered with grass-stains and dirt rather than blood-stains and scars. Back when both of them had two hands made out of flesh and blood, rather than metal and wires. (Matt is turned into a weapon by the Galra. When he is “captured” by Team Voltron, Shiro and Pidge help him come back to himself) My Comments: Heartwrenching but satisfying way to bring Matt into the Voltron fold. Be aware of the tags. This fic gets pretty dark at times, though it’s all viewed through memories, which gives it some distance. Wonderful to see Katie and Matt reunited, as well as Matt and Shiro. Shiro says some very important things to help Matt after all he’s been through.

Hugs and Besos by Ninja_Librarian Words: 5,504 Author’s Summary: “Well, there’s only one planet that has Varadero beach, pizza shack looking over the water and the garlic knots and… my mom’s hugs…” She didn’t believe a word the Garrison officials told her. After all, she knew her son better than they did. My Comments: Gorgeous, beautiful, perfect Lance’s mom POV. All of the backstory is so sweet and fits Lance perfectly, and I can just feel the love coming off the page. Wonderfully satisfying conclusion, too.

the best day of the year by FluffyBlue Words: 1,709 Author’s Summary: Lance forgot about his birthday, but his team certainly didn’t <3 My Comments: Aw, so sweet. Show that boy some love. What a good team.

not so little after all by victuri Words: 2,542 Author’s Summary: How to successfully create an alliance: bluff your way through a diplomatic meeting. It helps if you’re afraid. My Comments: Good gosh, I adore Lance and Allura developing a mutually benificial relationship. It took some work, but he gave her the confidence to be absolutely MAGNIFICENT here.

Birthday Surprises by A_Zap f Words: 2,948 Author’s Summary: On a certain day, each of Team Voltron finds themselves the recipient of a package. It doesn’t take them too much to figure out who’s leaving them anonymous birthday presents. Pretty much a 5+1 fic of the times members of Team Voltron are given a birthday present and the time they decided to return the favor. My Comments: Ahhh, this is so cute! I adore Lance being kind and thoughtful to his teammates and getting that love back in return. Beautiful fic.

Too Soon and Not Soon Enough by hufflepirate Words: 6,506 Author’s Summary: Remix of oldmythologies’s Lost in the Fog, which is AWESOME and should probably be read first. Shiro is gone, and none of the remaining paladins know what to do about it. When the rest of the team visits Black to talk to Shiro, Pidge listens in, but can’t bring herself to face the lion - or the place where Shiro vanished. Not until she’s ready to bring him home. My Comments: Completely fabulous alternate perspective and expansion on another amazing fic. I loved Pidge’s perspective on everything, and extended reunion scene at the end was so so so good. SO GOOD. Ahhh, it made me so happy, I can’t even tell you.

Hold Me Close by SerenePhenix Words: 2,221 Author’s Summary: Keith was not made for the cold. My Comments: Poor Keith. Good thing he has his team to take care of him.

Day 2: Hypothermia by GemmaRose Words: 1,781 Author’s Summary: Downed in a shuttle during an ambush, Coran must survive a blizzard with only his wits, centuries-old survival training, and what meagre supplies he can scavenge from the wreck. My Comments: HURT CORAN! So rare, so precious. Great characterization, he felt very steady and strong even as he sort of accepted that he was probably going to die. Super glad he didn’t, of course. The team can’t do without him.

Rockabye by SerenePhenix Words: 2,171 Author’s Summary: Pidge has to stop the bleeding and is terrified. Coran is there every step of the way even when hundreds of miles away. My Comments: GAH, this fic is intense. Love Coran being the rock Pidge needs, even from far away, keeping calm and talking her through it even while I am positive he’s freaking out on the inside.

dead battery by babitty Words: 3,345 Author’s Summary: a drabble that popped into my head so i sat down and wrote it out real quick. I’m sure people have done this or smthn like it already but fuck it. Lance brought his phone into space. And when Pidge finds out the battery is dead, she helps him out. Bc he’s family. I wasn’t sure what to name Lance’s sister, but i think Mari works??? I honestly don’t know, i may change it even though this is just a drabble. also this is not pidgance at all, i’m rlly hopin that’s clear enough Edit- so apparently mari is canon and I’m real good at guessin names lmao My Comments: Really cute fic. I love Pidge helping Lance fight his homesickness, followed by all the team bonding as they look at the pictures on his phone. The second chapter made it worse, or maybe better. Poignant and heartachey, but sweet.

To Light The Way by A11e_B00klover Words: 13,169 Author’s Summary: When her father dies in mysterious circumstances and leaves her alone with nothing but questions, Allura sets out to find the truth, come what may. Or the time Allura decides to go Sherlock with her family-friend Coran and the five friends she makes in the process. (for the Voltron Gen Minibang 2017) My Comments: A little slow to start, but there are some great ideas and fantastic characterizations in here. Fun modern AU where the team forms a Leverage-type crew to battle corporate corruption and find the truth. I could do with more.

Nobody Learns by SassafrassRex (Serbajean) Words: 30,570 Author’s Summary: He knows there was a time, before he was at this camp. *** Wiser people than Matt knew to steer clear of stars, dreamers, and all other fantasts. *** It’s a pretty strange fate, that Matt had played supporting cast in the story of his own life. *** If they try and they win, you’ll hate them for how they leave you behind. If they try and they fail, you’ll hate yourself for having to tell them let go of their pipedreams. *** “Could mean you need some better friends” – And Shiro has got to know how punchable his face gets whenever he grins like that. *** Shiro’s got it in his head that he could be selected for the Kerberos mission. Matt wishes he would give it up now. Before he burns himself out. *** Written for the Voltron Gen Mini Bang, with the wonderful artist, dylogger!!! Also prequel to All-Pervading Corruption My Comments: This is a prequel to a previously recced fic, but it stands alone fine. This fic is STUNNING. I love the characterization for Matt and Shiro. All of the backstory makes a lot of sense, and their friendship is so strong, weathering a lot of storms along the way. With this kind of background, it not only makes sense that Shiro would sacrifice himself for Matt, but it feels inevitable. All of the “current day” stuff in the prison camp is very harsh and hard to read, though, so beware. In that context, all of their college day shenanigans gain a kind of golden edge to them. Those were the good days. They just had no idea. It was hard at the time. But Matt is strong, and he’s a survivor, and he fights. He fights so hard. Amazing fic. The art complements it perfectly.

Earth Isn’t So Far by safety_dancer Words: 1,356 Author’s Summary: “Geez, Hunk! You scared us! I come running, thinking maybe Zarkon had teleported his ugly self into the- is that a cake?” My Comments: I really love all the presents everyone gave Lance in this one. They were so thoughtful and sweet.

Gift Me the Stars and Night Sky by Not_Jazz Words: 1,299 Author’s Summary: Lance never asked for anything. He was happy to just have his family. So, his family decides to surprise him. Or: Lance’s Best Birthday Ever My Comments: Gah, this is ridiculously adorable. The story about tiny Lance made my heart hurt in the best way. What a little sweetie pie, and I’m so glad he has his space family to be with him now.

What We Least Expect by inkbadger Words: 1,712 Author’s Summary: When Lance forgets it’s his birthday, he doesn’t take it well. So he retreats to the Blue Lion. But his team aren’t about to let him celebrate his birthday alone. That’s what family’s for, right? My Comments: So sweet. Everyone cares so much.

Candlelight and Supernovas by Faequeen40 Words: 12,614 Author’s Summary: Deep in space, Lance is really missing his family as his birthday comes up. The Voltron crew go about trying to throw him a birthday party. My contribution for Lance’s Birthday Week! My Comments: I really love how long this is and how everyone got their moment to shine. All of the bonding was sweet and lovely, and everyone put so much EFFORT into making sure Lance had a good and happy day. So heartwarming.

Wild Boys by Cocopops1995 Words: 13,437 Author’s Summary: Shiro wakes up back in Galra captivity. But he’s not having any of that this time. This time he’s determined to escape or die trying. Along the way he meets up with some familiar faces, some more unexpected than others. My Comments: Really fun action fic featuring BAMF Shiro and rebel Matt, among other things. A much more enjoyable way for Shiro to get back to the team than we see in a lot of fics, haha. All of the reunions were top-notch.

Summer Days (Drifting Away) by Atalto Words: 2,630 Author’s Summary: The team take a break from Voltron to regroup and recharge for the final fight against the Galra. Pidge discovers that she doesn’t really like alien beaches, no matter how human they are. My Comments: I expected fun in the sun and got emotional hurt/comfort and cuddling. I’m not complaining at all.

Little Fingers Hold the Tightest by Utsukushin (UserFromPluto) Words: 12,817 Author’s Summary: After the final battle with Zarkon, the Voltron team begins a desperate search for Shiro, but not even Slav’s ramblings on quantum realities could have prepared them for what they find. Shiro has been turned into a child–a bright-eyed, scarred little boy with one arm and no memories–and although they try their best to accommodate the change into their already-chaotic lives, no one quite anticipated just how challenging it would be. My Comments: Ahhh, this fic is amazing and adorable. Tiny Shiro is so cute, but he’s still getting flashbacks and nightmares and needs a lot of care. All of the paladins interact with him in the sweetest ways, and the art is beautiful, too.

The Burden of Adrenaline by spitfire00 Words: 1,329 Author’s Summary: Pidge carries an injured Shiro out of a hostile situation using pure spite alone. My Comments: PIDGE! What a badass! This little fic got my own adrenaline pumping, for sure.

It’s Like a Lithium Ion by F-117 Nighthawk (F117_Nighthawk) Words: 5,314 Author’s Summary: On their way to the Balmera, Keith runs across a homesick Lance and tries to comfort him. Then he finds Pidge and accidentally gives her an idea and gets roped into helping. It’s a win-win though, because in the end he’s found a way to help Lance. My Comments: Such a sweet fic. Love everyone working together to try to communicate with Earth so the kids can have a way to relieve their homesickness, and Keith was a darling for sticking it out.

Oh, Won’t You Comfort Me? by Ironic_Swag7782 Words: 2,123 Author’s Summary: Crash landed on an icy planet, one broken kit of armour, damaged lions, Lance getting dangerously cold? Shiro could safely say this mission could have gone better. My Comments: I’m always up for Shiro and Lance huddling for warmth. They’re both trying so hard to take care of each other, even in bad circumstances.

Flirting Lessons by sinelanguage Words: 2,099 Author’s Summary: Allura consults her worst– and only– flirting expert for advice. My Comments: Super cute fic with the worst pickup lines ever and Lance being a good wingman. Somehow it all works out in the end. I love Lance and Allura’s friendship.

Lean On by SerenePhenix Words: 1,712 Author’s Summary: Allura tries to complete a mission while feeling anything but perfectly well. My Comments: Short, sweet sickfic featuring dizzy Allura, smart Lance, and protective Coran.

Magnesium Fires by MoonlitWaterSunnyRiver for Mellisah Words: 1,328 Author’s Summary: In retrospect, wandering into a haunted house with no backup had been a bad, bad idea. But it’s amazing how much time you have to consider these things hanging in midair with a poltergeist deciding whether or not to munch on you. Poltergeist: 1. Keith Kogane: 0. Things Pidge can hold against him: too many to count. My Comments: This is so fun and funny and cute. Keith is just trying so hard, but it’s a good thing Pidge is capable of saving him.,

A Leg to Stand On by Aclyr, hufflepirate Words: 26,526 Author’s Summary: Hunk has never wanted to be in charge of anything, but when he gets stranded on an unknown planet with a concussed Shiro, light-years away from where they were supposed to be and unable to contact the rest of the team, he has do it anyway. A galaxy away, the rest of the team is short on resources and shorter on personnel, but they’re not about to let Hunk and Shiro go without a fight. (Story by hufflepirate, art by Aclyr) My Comments: Everything about this fic is utterly perfect. Hunk is anxious, but a badass anyway, and concussed Shiro is like a confused baby chick who needs to be herded back to the nest several times. The frantic search the others go through to find them is very suspenseful and heartwrenching, and you can just feel the tension and stress everyone is struggling with. Great action, great characterization, great emotional moments. I love it to bits. The art is also amazing.

Day 1: Fever by GemmaRose Words: 2,141 Author’s Summary: With Shiro missing and her Paladins scrambling to find him, Allura can’t possibly justify taking a break. My Comments: Short, sweet sickfic featuring fanting Allura and protective Coran.

Have Faith. by halelujah for InsaneJuliann Words: 2,750 Author’s Summary: Four times where the Black Lion reassures the Paladins that all will be well, plus the time she’s reassured herself. My Comments: Post Season Two fic with a really sweet characterization of Black. Hunk is particularly adorable, as well.

hope of a better tomorrow - VLD fanfic remix for babitty! by volleycatnika for babitty Words: 3,190 Author’s Summary: How the five paladins missed Earth and came together to comfort each other (a 5+1 fic). My Comments: Lovely team bonding fic.

Fics with Season Three spoilers under the cut. After this list, I will no longer be tagging spoilers, since it’s been two weeks now since the season came out.

What’s my name? by greenglowsgold Words: 3,538 Author’s Summary: No one ever knows who they’re going to be until they are. Names don’t always work forever. She doesn’t know who this is, but he isn’t Shiro. My Comments: Season Three spoilers. I love Pidge’s journey here, and this would be a clever way to deal with the Not-Shiro problem. Her stubbornness and determination in the face of everyone else’s disbelief is perfectly her.

You’re Brave and You’re Loved by Talking_Bird Words: 6,464 Author’s Summary: Shiro is gone, but the universe still needs defending. When Keith becomes the new Black Paladin, the team assumes Allura will replace Keith as the Red Paladin. It doesn’t quite go like that and Lance has some insecurities to overcome. My Comments: Season Three spoilers. I honestly liked the way the show did it, but I this version is nicer, with Lance getting some much needed encouragement and love. Mild Klance.

Things I Have Been Reading - June

It is the end of June already! During our little heat wave over here I found it difficult to sleep which did kinda suck BUT it meant I stayed up until the wee hours of the morning reading some awesome fics, some of which I present here to you in this list.

For more fic recs feel free to follow my @girl-next-door-recommends which is a blog I set up fairly recently to keep track of all the great stuff I have been reading. I also have a tagging system to make it easy to find your fandom amongst the many.

So, without any further pre-amble, here are my fic recs for June 2017…

Supernatural:

All That Remains - @thewhiterabbit42 has broken my heart with this because it feels all too real and that kills me. I do sometimes worry that if Gabe came back to us then this is kinda what would happen.

Let’s Swayze This Mother - @emilywritesaboutdean You, Dean, Sam and Cas decide to search for Gabriel, it does NOT go as planned. Well, like it would ever really go as planned. This is a clever fic and you should go read it, you won’t be disappointed.

Getting to Know You - @melonshino-writes Definitely a writer to watch if this one is anything to go on. You all know I love my fluff and this is so lovely it gives me a warm and fuzzy feeling because it is kinda believable, not a perfect love at first sight deal (which I also love btw) but a really good portrayal of Dean.

Hold The Line - @lipstickandwhiskey Holy Hell Batman! Dean in this is hot hot hot and if you are looking for protective Dean with some NSFW thrown in then this is the fic for you.

Mon Ange - @wayward-mirage Cas... cuteness... fluff... squeeeeeeeeee!!!

Last Night - @wayward-mirage is an absolute legend in my eyes and her writing always hits the mark (hehehe that’s a bit of a Pelly joke) so this Crowley fic was so perfect I didn’t even know I needed it until I read it. You can tell how much I liked it because of that sentence ran on. Go read it.

Icarus and the Sun - @avengersandlovers I adore Sam Wilson and there is a distinct lack of fics for this gorgeous man so please read, like and comment on this fabulous fluffy smutty piece of Sammy. Show some love people.

Lost My Heart to You - @jurassicbarnes This Mini Drabbles Series is super cute and I adore floofy Bucky.

A Lesson in Love - @buckyywiththegoodhair This series has made me laugh and cry and pulled out my heart, stomped on it and crushed it into a million pieces and then laughed as the wind has blown the dust away leaving me with a sense of inevitability that this truly was the only way for this series to end. Damn I love it. Broken Bucky is like catnip to me.

Our Little Secret - @4theluvofall Steve is a dick, Bucky get in there!!! I may be a little too involved with this series for my own good (especially as I am a SteveGirl) but it is really really really good.

Business Partners - @knittingknerdy A Tony series that has me addicted and searching for more Tony. Absolutely perfectly written Tony, I can hear his voice in each of his lines. Fantastic work here sweetie.

Love Me Honestly - @brighterlights has written a sequel to my favourite ever series, For Your Convenience. Bucky is still super cute and a little cocky, reader is still awkward and I can’t wait to see how they will navigate their new relationship together.

A Bunch of Softies - @imamotherfuckingstar-lord can do no wrong and this little Quill fic is another tour de force. I take my hat off to you and stand to applaud yet another fabulous fic and I know you will take my compliment incredibly well as always x

Pulse - @tomhollands I am writing this through the floods of tears that this fic is making me cry. Seriously, I am shedding my own tears here and there is no sign that it’s gonna let up. BUCKY WHAT ARE YOU DOING!!!!

Stranger Danger - @canumoveyourseatup-no Clint and Tony make me wee laughing. This is something I can totally see Clint doing the adorable fluffball.

A New Hope - @littlemisssyreid Tony and Star Wars, how could I not automatically love this fic? Also it happens to be brilliant!

Forelsket - @howlingbarnes I am stuck deep into the SoulMateAU deal right now as you can see by some of me other recs and this one kinda snuck up on me but as I find it hard to say no to a Steve fic I started at the start and very quickly fell completely in love with this series.

Star Trek:

Getting Stuck in a Jefferies Tube with Scotty - @youre-on-a-starship BRAVO. I have a soft spot for Scotty and am more than happy to get stuck in a Jefferies Tube if this is how it pans out.

Star-Crossed - @vintagevalentinexx is very aware of my writer crush on her and this series is awesome and sluffy and smutty and angsty and wonderful.

Any Other Way - @imamotherfuckingstar-lord – Still my favourite when it comes to Bones. As someone who would be right there in the chair next to Kirk I kinda like the idea that Leonard would react like this.

The Part That Counts - @youre-on-a-starship writes some of the most addictive Scotty I have come across and I would like to thank you for that. It’s a beautiful thing.

Other Fandoms and Fics:

One Year - @antlers-inallofmy-decorating Gaston! This series is coming to a mighty fine and very tense conclusion so if you’re not already up to date on this one go and binge!

Sugar and Spice - @bloodstained-porcelain-doll Richard Speight Jr as my very own sugar daddy? This fic had me hooked from part 1 and I may need to go take several cold showers.

Ready Steady - @dont-hate-relate-pls I am a Rich Girl stuck so deep in the Robbie Trash it is unbelievable and this series is feeding my Team Rob side perfectly.

I have faith in you - @kittenwritesstuff I have dipped my toe into the Potter fandom and I would like to hold this up as an example of the fabulousness that I have found there. Fluffy Snape may be my new weakness.

The Plan - @mutantimagines Raph being awkward and Donnie being sneaky. Man I love this.
