20 Feb 2024 EDIT: Slight retcon; I don't think Ren would be self aware that he's in a game, per se. He's aware that he can prevent information from being revealed and change the course of the narrative — which might seem strange if he really thought about it (Like... No one else has shown signs of having this ability...) — but he doesn't know that his world is a "video game" or that the player exists. I hope this makes sense!!

rereading TGWCM while working on the final chapter and tbh the progression of reader finally figuring out her and König are friends after 55k words and then getting dicked down and dirty while telling him she loves him before the sun can even set is so iconic of her. this bitch is always 0 to 100 ain’t she.

princess simon chapter 3

“Your hair is so long,” Simon huffs in a quiet laugh, not maliciously like when his mum points it out. 

Simon delicately unclips the plastic butterflies from her hair, and reattaches it on either corner of Wille’s temples, holding his hair away from his skin. He just about resists the urge to shiver at the soft feeling of his hair being parted gently, blinking as he stands still stupidly, letting Simon sort his fringe out.

Wille stares at Simon’s concentrated eyes, with the lack of better things to look at. Deep molten chocolate brown, with a little frown in between her eyebrows. It’s mesmerising.

He has never seen Simon’s face this close up before. Simon’s nose is an interesting shape, with a soft rounded tip that Wille has the urge to pinch. And her lips - pink and plump with a miniscule scar in the corner that Wille is dying to hear the story behind. Wille suddenly remembers all the questions he has been hounded with, by all the other princes and August and even Erik, about whether he and Simon have kissed yet -

Hmmm, now that Jiren had mentioned it..yes, Videl was definitely stronger than Gohan. While the half-saiyan would prefer to avoid battle at all cost, Videl would jump into the fray fearlessly. It was definitely one of the reasons his poor heart could not help but fall for her. 

Master Roshi on the other hand had heard what they came for, and if it were just for animals he didn’t see why they couldn’t just along any other coast or island to see animals. He wondered if it would have been a good time to ask them for a favor, to fly into the city and get him suitable reading material, something he could NOT go into complete detail because of Pan’s presence..he had some decency left in him after all.

However, soft noises of concern left the turtle hermit as he was lifted into the air quite easily by the giant before him. Pan herself was cheering from the lift she had gotten herself considering she was bound to Roshi by hand.

Gohan stood behind Jiren and could only express a sheepish grin, there was no..animosity coming from Jiren so he knew his daughter was quite alright, he just didn’t think Jiren would have been THIS direct in his approach to see and pet a turtle.

“He’s inside!! Dang-it when you put me down make sure you do it gently..these old bones aren’t what they used to be you know.” Roshi argued wiggling just a little whilst Pan continued to giggle.

Upon hearing the commotion the ‘star’ of the show made his presence known by slowly sliding into the room from his undershell. A large and brown sea-turtle that even had more energy than the average animal they would ever encounter in the wilderness. “What’s going on…who’s calling m- OH!!” There was a shocked gasp that left his lips the moment his eyes were on Jiren.

“OH there you are, hey Turtle. There’s someone I’d like you to meet, Jiren and Jiren that’s Turtle, he’s a sea-turtle that knows a little bit of martial arts. I’d even say he’s the strongest of his species. Go ahead, pet him but be gentle.”

With a slight pout, Olivia slouches against the reception desk and stomps her foot. Her eyes hadn't left Teo and Elanor's figures the moment she walked into the library — that is until you stepped out from the employee's lounge with a new tester product from Kiara in your hands.

Almost immediately, Olivia turns her attention towards you as she slams her hands on the counter in excitement.

"And you... That gloss looks way too good on you to go to waste!" You don't miss the way she eyes your lips curiously. The scowl on her face could've been mistaken for resentment, though her next words only seemed to contradict everything. "Wait... I know that tint— Is it Creston and Co? ...Could I try some? Please!"

With a grin, you gently cup Olivia's chin and lean in. Her eyes widen at your sudden proximity and a small gasp leaves her lips — clearly, she wasn't expecting you to do that — though she doesn't seem to move away. In fact, Olivia only seems to lean closer... Close enough to stand on her tip-toes and press her plush lips against yours.

Something sweet melds with the taste of your own fruity gloss, and you find yourself leaning in for more. Olivia happily obliges, tilting her head to the side with practised ease and gently reaching out to bury her hands in the front of your jacket.

The kiss deepens the moment you feel something warm against your lips, and just as you are about to reciprocate, you hear a deep grumble of someone clearing their throat behind you.

Conan.

Flushed, you pull back almost immediately while Olivia sends you an impish smile. You don't dare to look behind you, though you somehow know that Conan has already retreated into the very same staff lounge you emerged from previously.

"Hehe! Thanks for that!" With Teo now long forgotten, Olivia grabs one of your hands and gives it a gentle squeeze. "Hey... Wanna head to the pier after your shift? I think I'd like your attention all to myself now."
