Natlan is literally the worst thing Hoyoverse has ever created, and for so many reasons, but they somehow made it worse by k!lling off the only good character from it
#idgaf if Mavuika died her design and lack of personality was ass#Capitano was the only character/thing from Natlan that actually had good lore good design and a good personality#anyways I need to rant abt why Natlan sucked ass now#there’s obviously the r@cism I don’t even think I need to explain that#“But culture is more than skin tone!” so there’s this thing called cultural appropriation right#I don’t understand how people can defend Hoyos racism after this#What they did with Natlan is like going “I like your food and the way you dance and sing and your clothes and hair. But I don’t like you”#and ofc there’s the shitty writing#the lore was actually the most boring thing ever and it was so corny at some points#+ a lot of the characters (ESPECIALLY chasca) had no personality#And the way it looks. Both the characters and environments#even the few characters who don’t have garbage designs (Kinich Mualani that cat lady idk her name) had the most bland designs ever#I feel like I’ve seen them so many times before like they were so unoriginal#especially Kinichs’#why is he themed off pixel-y video games?? it doesn’t make sense so those even exist in Teyvat??#and the environment is horrible too#Natlan is a nation of war and have been at war for 500+ years at that point#But you can’t tell that by the world exp#It would’ve been better if maybe the sky was a bit darker or if there were corpses littering the ground#Or if there were a bunch of abyss camps set up and abandoned towns/villages#or if the few habited areas has a bunch of defenses put up to protect themselves from the abyss#I’m being dead serious when I say Natlan is so bad I’m actually considering uninstalling the whole game

Is it just me or do new-engine video games feel like they're getting worse rather than better. Like yeah the textures and physics and FX themselves are improved, but at the same time why does it feel like I'm playing a game from 2001. Something's wrong here.

on that subject, obsessed with today when i was like "hey guys, can you two stop playing the jumping game for now because it's giving caden a headache" and my 6 yr old cousin is like "you mean 'me'. it's giving 'me' a headache, because your caden". it's like yeah man ur right. my bad . and then they stopped jumping. it was awesome
#the thing is like. the jumping hurt my headright away#but i let them do it for a while before they told them to stop. and then they did#and i think thats part of it too. for somw things you have to wait and let kids have whay they want for a while before swooping in and#asking for them to stop#so they dont feel super controlled#and like. as an autistic person I HAVE TO DO THAT ANYWAY USUALLY#there's so many adult people out there who i have to put up witj their noises because i KNOW if i ask for them to stop theyll get mad#or even on a lesser extent. like as an autistic person w my sorta issues. you have to a let a lot of things go that are genuenly painful#and stressful. bc if u ask people to do things too much they often get upset. even if theyre overall nice#same with kids#but with kids you get to ask them to stop way more and you get to ask earlier than you would with most adults#like. ill be trying to put up with somethinf and struggling and get to the ppont where im visibly shaking and stuttering and on the verge#of tears#and the mere request of 'could you turn the tv ofd#still gets whole ass adults telling me im entitled and bossy#meanwhile child will hear 'thats making me feel bad' and theyll hear that and theyll think about it#and often times theyll stop#and even when they dont they dont insult you!#and people still say little kids are annoying????#when i tell a little kid 'could you turn the sound off on the video game or take it to another room the sounds its making are upsetting me#they LISTEN.#adults have a strong tendency to#use the ironicallt imature logic of ' i like this thing. so it dosent matter if it is upsetting you. i like it so i want to have it. even#though we are in a shared space together. i wont change what im doing because i want to do the thing i like. and thats more important than#not upsetting you. because doing the thing i like makes ME feel good.'#like. litterallt this mindset is easily more promient in adults than small children 100% . on god#and its just about the most childish thing ever.#its understandable. but its immature#and with something this simple its silly people cant let that go. its not complex at all. its stop making noise it is hurting me. easy

Btw I played Paper Mario 64 recently and just finished it last week, three takeaways from it:
1. Bowser is a delight of a character no matter the game, he’s hilarious and I love how hard he’s trying when “courting” Peach.
2. Peach was the absolute MVP of that game and amazing proof that you don’t need to know how to fight to play a vital role in a story.
3. The Kolorados need to divorce already.
8.5/10 Really good game!
#Super Mario#Paper Mario 64#Flor talks#I could write a more in-depth review talking about each chapter; each partner; the combat system etc#but I'm being merciful for once#could be a potential video idea though#especially since I went with finishing the game 100%#also I wanted to write that Kolorado's wife need to divorce his ass but in reality they both want different things#the divorce should be mutual#another takeaway I could've put is that the condor from Mario 64 is apparently trans#he uses he/him pronouns but can lay eggs with babies in them; Goombario points it out in his tattle#(I actually did write this post 2 days ago unlike the previous ones made over a month ago)
