Family Trees of the Multiverse: Bat Family
The last of my Multiverse Family Trees!
And due to the family's size, it got split into three trees, for clearer visualization. The Wayne/Kane family for one, all the Robins and their parents, siblings and children got their own, and due to Dick's messy multiverse-life, and the fact that the majority of his kids are Babs' kids, Dick and Babs share a third tree.
As always, color-coded. However, due to just how big this family mess is, I'm not listing all the colors. Just the three key colors:
Black represents current Prime Earth continuity, red indicates a character or relation is from the New Earth continuity and orange stands for the Pre-Crisis continuity (-> if it says [New Earth] beneath the character in red but the frame is black, that means the character was first introduced during the New Earth continuity and continues existing; if the frame-color matches the label, then the character is exclusive to that era/Earth).
Some notes for additional clarification since things are MessyTM:
Terry and Matt McGinnis are technically biologically Bruce's children, since Amanda Waller altered their father's DNA into Bruce's. I don't know how to visualize that in a family tree and since they are his adopted children in later comic continuity, they go into the adopted children section.
Usually, when parents have various names throughout incarnation, I just indicate that by color, but in Jason Todd's case, Joe and Trina as the Flying Todds are very different people from small-time criminal Willis and his wife Sheila, so Jason gets two sets of parents on the tree.
Barbara Gordon's backstory is a mess; she was first conceived as the biological child of Jim and Thelma in Pre-Crisis continuity, then became the biological child of Jim's brother Roger and Thelma, who got adopted by Jim and Barbara Eileen and to whom Sarah Essen was a stepmother, however in Gotham Noir, Sarah Essen is her biological mother. Also, Babs has three different middle names - Lee in the Gotham TV continuity, Kathleen in the Killing Joke movie, and as of the Prime Earth continuity, she got the middle name Joan (before that, she was just Barbara Gordon).

I know, people like different tropes and fanon etc. etc.
However, I would love to see more of the Star Wars fandom make a big deal about Leia's adoptive parents, Breha and Bail Organa. I mean, they're amazing people and I see a lot of amazing content about them, don't get me wrong! But in concerns to Leia as a person and her actions.
Leia became the Huttslayer and this is narrative gold because her father and her grandmother had been slaves under that particular Hutt in the past. But let's not ignore the fact that she grew up the man who knew Palpatine was a Sith Lord (and seen his friends and children murdered because of it) and still ran a damn resistance under his very nose. Leia grew up knowing she would be Queen of Alderaan and what that meant - if you pay attention to EU canon, she had to undergo three trials in order to be declared heir, trials which had almost killed her mother when she was a teenager. Leia is the biological daughter of Anakin Skywalker and Padme Amidala and that is a part of her history, but the parents who raised her and loved her were two people who knew full well the price of fighting against tyranny, and did it anyway.
And her biological father is part of that tyranny. I believe Shmi Skywalker would look at her granddaughter and be proud but I believe that Darth Vader can't say shit about it, not when he has managed to enslave and terrorise so many more people than Jabba the Hutt ever could.
I would love to see more of the fandom discussion around Leia to be how she's upholding her parents' legacy when killing Jabba the Hutt, and I mean the parents she knew and loved, who worked to end evil like Jabba. Not the man who helped it thrive.
(This is referring to many posts and fics, although one sparked me to finally post this. But like I said, everyone enjoys fandom in their own way.)

I'm sorry, and I say this as someone who loves a lot of books with an accidental pregnancy in them, but like...
If you're writing a contemporary romance set in the now times, and your heroine gets knocked up in like a one night stand, and she isn't like, specifically crazy and attempting to get pregnant by a random, if she's genuinely not at all trying to get pregnant or planning on a pregnancy...
I'm not saying you have to have her consider an abortion, but the idea of her being like "this is all hunky-dory", even if she wants a baby in the long term, is INSANE
Like... in this economy? In this current world? In a reality wherein even if you don't typically support abortion, you know you can't have one even if it threatens your life depending on where you live? Not second-guessing your accidental pregnancy or having negative feelings at all is INSANE and to me it makes your heroine unrelatable, even if she was knocked up by a random billionaire who later swoops in and takes care of her
I mean, I know someone who recently got pregnant by accident, and she was with a man she was planning on marrying and kids with in the long term, they lived together, they had a dog together, the proposal was discussed and right around the corner... and she wasn't happy and she wasn't immediately sure she was going to have it. She decided to in the long term, but she was like, SOBBING when she found out. Because it's a big deal and even if, after some contemplation, you're super happy about having the kid, it's at min OVERWHELMING.
idk I just... that's bad writing imo.

these people with their austin butler stanning… pls. He is literally blond. Also the criteria we’re working with here includes things like “does this man have the type of family trauma that makes him hot in a scary way” and “how many decades of pining does it take for him to lose his mind entirely” meanwhile he’s been giving bland performances since before he was it-coupling with vanessa hudgens at coachella. He wants so bad to be sexi and unhinged but the gods assigned him high school track team energy and he just can’t shake it
Just because this man looks like he would cheat on you doesn’t mean he’s (the blog previously known as) iskariot material, people!!! You lot are flunking out of hot bitch class rn!!
the blog previously known as iskarieot thanks u so much thats exactly the energy level I was missing. what a devastating read of him. I hope he's scalped so bad he never dares to step in front of a camera again <3

Until I was like in high school, I didn't know that pheasants were real, and birds. Now you might be wondering why that matters... well my uncle and cousins hunt and one time they were talking ab going hunting for pheasants. I laughed, thinking they were fucking around and joking that they were saying 'peasants' but with a lisp, and that they were like haha we're gonna hunt people.
It would be another 5 years at least before I realized my mistake 😭

there's something about being an artist or creator of things from feelings and thoughts that formed from the inside of me that really fuels my girl gender feelings. I think the only comparable euphoria I get is the smell of my hairspray and the feeling of being clean after a shower (<- uses 50 products)

You'll do anything to protect what you have left
I am constantly posessed by this one OC and her story, the SMP ended months ago but I love this bastard so much.
