So there are many finale/S15 fix-its that live rent-free in my head, but there's this one where Michael and Adam (some time after 15x08) meet Kevin and Michael goes 'What do you MEAN you can't go to Heaven bc you've been to Hell, this is bullshit, that rule doesn't exist, and what do you MEAN my father said this :('. Billie joins them (having kept an eye on Kevin, since she's not sure what the ghost of a former prophet might do, roaming the Earth).

They eventually team up with Billie to 'restore order'. This means going to the Empty to get the Shadow (and some angels) to help. It's a bit awkward to try and get a bunch of angels who grappled for power in Heaven (and partly killed each other) to help the guy who previously ran Heaven (and wasn't exactly the most popular guy - Michael is a lot of things, but he's not a people person). But Adam and Kevin help, pleading humanity's case and also going 'You know God wants to end this world right? Like, the one you exist in?'

The confession scene happens, but it's really Billie trying to get Cas to join their merry band of side characters who are plotting the death of the author - they knew that Cas would likely evoke the Empty deal when faced with Billie, so they could snatch him outside the narrative without Chuck noticing it's a ploy.

Michael actually goes back to Earth (leaving Adam's soul, reluctantly, in the care of his siblings - mainly Raphael, who is a bit shocked at Michael's character development but is being very brave about it) and 15x19 happens mostly as it did in canon, except the whole 'Michael betrays the Winchesters' thing is all part of the (aka Michael and Company's) plan. As in, Michael knows the Winchesters' plan hinges on him ratting them out to Chuck, so he does it, while also integrating his and the other entities' (Death, the Shadow, angels...) plan into the Winchesters'. (He thinks using Jack is, while not necessarily fair to the kid, actually something that could work, but depending on God releasing enough energy for it to work while fighting two mere humans is extremely stupid.)

So 15x19 goes on, except where Chuck would have killed Michael, Gabriel pops up and the two archangels have a show fight (Michael still pretending to be on his father's side). Then more angels come in, and Michael can finally join them to fight Chuck. More and more allies join, and at some point the Shadow comes in, managing to separate Amara from Chuck (the Shadow's domain is Emptiness and Amara is Destruction - they know each other, they may even like each other).

(At this point, the Winchesters are mere window dressing, not involved in the fight at all.)

Finally, it's time for Jack to do their thing. Chuck is defeated. A few people get to punch him. Kevin throws a rock. (He's been an angry spirit long enough to be able to do that now. Adam is not good enough at throwing stuff to even try, he'll just embarrass himself, but he does think about punching God once he gets back into his body. The thought is very comforting.)

When Chuck won't stop wining, Michael snaps him to the other side of the planet. Meanwhile, Jack is afraid of using their new powers (what if they do it wrong?) so the congregated archangels help, showing them their memories of creation to make them familiar with the concept. It helps, and Jack brings back humanity. They would like to make the world better, but are also not sure they want to be God - too much power seems to corrupt eventually - so they start coming up with plans to spread that power out over several people, maybe even places.

(I forgot to mention that Cas gets a moving reunion with his child. Even the angels are touched, though many of them don't understand a father-child bond like that.)

Ultimately, the day is saved. Gabriel starts a victory celebration. Adam goes back into his body, but not before everyone sees the way Michael and Adam look at each other. Heaven will need to be rebuilt, but with all the angels that were revived, they should be able to do it. Everyone looks at Michael for next steps but Michael really really REALLY doesn't want to be leader of Heaven anymore. Jack suggests a democracy. Anna, Gadreel and some others support that idea. Gabriel hands out margaritas and snacks.

The world keeps turning, and while it's not perfect... it's alive. People are alive. They at least have a chance at a better life.

a/n: hi🌻 i wrote this because I was researching ptsd, c-ptsd and the connection between them and depression, and I wanted to portray depression in a way that wasn't romanticizing it, fantasizing it, or making y/n cure it with a cup of hot cocoa. I know you don't just "wake up depressed" but I feel like with buckys trauma it could be triggered and come on quickly? if that makes sense? I hope this helps someone maybe feel not alone or less hopeless.

His mind is loud today.

The world around him is a wet towel that's been washed so many times it's lost its color, and he can't bring himself to care.

He lied in bed staring at the ceiling, watching the cool, midnight filter on his bedroom get cut through with warm sunlight.

It wasn't nice. It wasn't pleasant. It was another day, and today, he just didn't want that.

He felt stupid for sitting in bed– maybe guilty was a better word. He should get up, make himself useful, redeem himself, but the inflamed words in his head ached everytime he tried to think of anything.

What's the point?

He should go get breakfast, but what's the point? Why does it matter if he gets hungry? He should train, he should at least try to act normal, but he doesn't care. He doesn't care if he starves, he doesn't care if the blankets are hot and stuffy and disgusting on his skin.

He's just so numb. He truly doesn't have the energy to feel emotions today. His tank is on "E", and now he's empty.

His chest is so heavy. It's so heavy. His brow and lips are stuck in a frown, and his arm hurts so badly. Whenever he has a day like this, his arm aches like the day he got it.

Everything aches. His whole world is heavy and painful and it's suffocating.

The days of numbness and emotionlessness are the ones where he most feels like the soldier. Those are the days where he teeters on the line between Bucky and The Asset.

He doesn't feel like Bucky today. Not today. But then again he doesn't feel anything.

The only emotion he can welcome is guilt. He knows it's only a matter of time before all the avengers start noticing his absence, and start worrying about him. That makes him guilty. He feels guilty that Stark is letting him stay here, giving him food and a bed, and he has the balls to sit in bed and rot.

He feels guilty that he killed people, stole them from their families, loved ones. He stole their lives right away from them, and now he's just sitting here in bed, moping around like he's the one who lost something.

He doesn't understand how he was one of the deadliest assassins, he served in the war, he's a soldier, but today, he can't get out of bed. It's pathetic.

It takes hours for him to get out of bed, the alarm says it's almost noon. His brain runs on autopilot, taking up so much of his already absent energy. He goes to the bathroom, knowing it'll probably be the only time he's up today. He's proud of himself for making the walk there. It's the first taste of a real emotion today, it's almost nice before he's swallowed up by the darkness again.

The mirror in his bathroom told a horrible story and he didn't even recognize the soulless being looking back at him. He knows he should go down and at least get some water, show his face, maybe a snack if he can manage it.

He's forgotten the elevator ride as soon as he steps off. The world is still moving, still bustling outside like nothing's changed, it doesn't feel right. He feels like he's watching a movie, and he's the only one who knows something is wrong. It's so quiet, the walk to the kitchen feels like a walk through a museum, he's grateful he doesn't encounter anybody.

He gets a drink, the water tastes like nothing. He pours himself some cereal, and stares at it until it's soggy. It tastes like nothing too. He manages a few spoonfuls. He feels guilty about throwing away good food, so he just stares at it in hopes that it might disappear.

He wants to be back in bed.

Steve enters. He doesn't look like Steve. A cardboard cutout, or a bad drawing. He's unfamiliar.

Steve seems surprised to see him, Bucky knows that he knows something is wrong.

He gives up on the cereal, a sour taste in his mouth being the only thing that prompted another sip of water. It's silent except for Steve preparing his protein shake. He knows not to talk, he can sense the thickness and dark in the room. He knows his words won't cut through it, so he smiles and doesn't speak.

Bucky nods and abandons his cereal, aiming for bed again. When he occupies himself with walking or eating or just doing something, the screams in his head take over any other thoughts he would have. He sees them all in little flashes in his head. Every single person he's killed, everyone he's hurt, the flashes of blood, a gunshot, a final gurgling gasp, someone hiding under a desk, a neck snapping. He's almost glad he's numb today.

Every now and then there's a scene of him being beaten, him falling off the train, more of him being tortured and abused, insults in Russian, curious and demeaning eyes looking him over like he's a horse at an auction. These scenes hurt less than the others, but make anxiety well up in his chest and his lungs.

He knows he just needs to survive today. That's what Sam's told him, sometimes when it gets bad, you just gotta survive. Bucky forgot how bad it can be.

He's lived through 70 years of torture, beatings and mutilation, and right now, safe in his bed, he doesn't know how he's going to survive the next 24 hours. He knows it's just his mind, he knows things won't be bad forever, he knows there will be a day where he's happy again, he knows all that, but right now he can't see it.

So he survives. He lives through the minutes that last for hours, he lives when it gets dark and the scenes in his head begin to flash behind his eyelids. When he gets tired of breathing, he lives.

Tomorrow comes, and he's not healed. He's not "normal", but he's just a little bit better. He survived. He'll try his hardest to survive again today.

He lives for the moment when he'll be alive again, until then he'll survive.

Personally, I head-canon that despite being nice and stuff, Firestar does have limits on how far he can be pushed or if loved ones are in danger, and can go apeshit / feral / show a dark side he never knew even existed if push came to shove to protect his family

I actually had a plot bunny in my head for an au that during the fox trap scene, when Hawk and Bramble got too close to him during their fight, Firestar lashes out as best as he can and slashes Hawk's throat open with his claws because he didn't want Bramble to die, and Hawk keels over because the hit nicked his jugular ( how does that fit the blood spills blood prophecy I'm not sure yet )

I mean, we know Firestar has no way of knowing this but Scourge WAS his half-brother, and Firestar did to some cold blooded stuff like double kill Darkstripe by snapping his neck like a wishbone and like you said, nearly killed Tigerclaw during his coup attempt by scratching his belly to shit.

I can totally see him do a similar move that Scourge did to Tigerstar on let's say, Darktail if he lived past LH, because he's that much of a threat to the Clans and killed so many cats. Heck maybe Fire won't even know what he did until he notices Darktail is in his death throes, his paw is covered in blood, and everyone is either reacting like 0_0 or 'I always knew he had suppressed rage'

I just like thinking about Firestar going ballistic for once. He's been through the wringer. Gorsepaw, the cat he saved gets got by Tigerstar, his apprentince's leg gets smashed and destroys her dreams of being a warrior and eventually dies to a badger, and despite helping the clans ( bringing back WC, feeding RC with Graystripe during that famine, and bringing Cinder to help the sick cats in SC ) he keeps getting shat on for being 'soft and a kitty pet' and Onestar needs no explanation. He deserves to be violent for once. As a treat.

I also wished Fire just shut down that stupid trial for Leafpool before it started, saying he won't let this happen, almost every one here bar the kits fucked up in some way, and if they tried to go through with this he'll take Leafpool and anyone that wants to follow him and fucking off to the Kitty Pet afterlife which makes SC back peddle and let Leafpool in.

PS this is kinda related but I can't be the only person on this website that DOESN'T HC Firestar as small am I? I mean he's not big as Tigerstar but he isn't a midget like Scourge either ( not that having that HC is bad, I'm just wondering where it came from ) since Kitty Pet doesn't mean they are gonna be little. If anything, I always thought Firestar was at least averaged sized or just a touch bigger than average, and I'm pretty sure in Daisy's Kin ( could be wrong plz don't @ me ) a cat said he was huge.

What if during the fire scene, Firestar went back to the camp because he couldn't find his daughter and grand kits, overhears Ashfur ranting in front of his Squirrel and his terrified grand kits and Firestar sees red and just barrels through the flames and slams into Ashfur, making him fall into the flames and perish.

Fire leads his family to safety but they straight up saw him murk a cat with no hesitation. How would this change things?

Or Before the reveal, Firestar somehow finds out what Ashfur did, decides he has to take things into his own paws and he's the one who murdered Ashur by holding his head in the water until he stopped breathing, making it look like he slipped and drowned. Then acts 'surprised' when his warriors find the body.

Would any one find out what he did? And if so, how do you think they will react and will this change their perception of the TC Leader?

First of all, I believe Firestar would be more likely to just Yeet That Idiot into the fire than drown him. Firestar has killed and would definitely Shrek Ashfur for threatening his family, but to lure a cat (even a threat like Ashfur) to their doom feels more Tigerstar than Firestar. That’s what happened to Cinderpelt - lured to a trap meant to kill - and Canon Firestar would NEVER do that.

He sees Ashfur blocking Squirrelflight, blocking his grandkits - one Ashfur’s own apprentice! - hears the screams of a jealous fool, unrelenting in his hate. Firestar sees, and Firestar B U R N S. He throws himself forward, and with the fury of an angry father-grandfather-leader knocks the gray tabby into the searing flames. The yowls that aren’t muffled by the roar of leaping fire cut off abruptly. Firestar leads his startled but grateful family to safety, and speaks honestly when asked about the missing Ashfur. He went mad, Firestar says, and tried to burn his clanmates. I would have done the same for any of you. May he find peace inStarclan. Ferncloud and the clan mourn, and the when word gets out, that Firestar will still protect his clan from threats within, the Gatherings are tense. But eventually all settles, save for a wary unease in the dreams of traitors.

However, a Firestar who’s more…feral, so to speak, more protective to the point of violence? A Firestar who might have killed Tigerclaw in Bluestar’s den in revenge/to protect Ravenpaw? A Firestar that slew Scourge with no guilt? That Firestar definitely would Drown a Dirtbag, no questions asked.

He threatened my grandkits, my daughters, my Clan, Firestar says to the watching stars. As I slew Tigerclaw, as I slew Darkstripe, I slay this threat. He gathers his family to him, and opens the secret of the Three to them. Brambleclaw is wounded deeply, but knows that even if he had just found loner kits, he would have loved them the same. Leafpool shudders, offering to step away from her role, but Firestar tells her of Yellowfang and Brokenstar, and that no one - Starclan or Mortal - will judge her. Not while he’s here. Sandstorm agrees, and the group promise to stand strong together. Hollyleaf trembles at being a half clan cat, but Firestar gently teases her, I wasn’t even a clan cat once, what does that make me? She relents, and the family keeps their silence. Until Ashfur’s spirit descends into a Gathering, and brings his accusations. Firestar speaks truth - I killed one who would destroy our clan with his words, one who threatened his clanmates because he could not take NO for an answer. You can judge me when you find yourself here, with a threat from within. Thunderclan is split between confusion, horror, and pride. The other clans demand punishment, but the clouds remain clear, and when Firestar joins Starclan, Ashfur is nowhere to be found.
