Thinking about two Lloyd Dr aus rn

1. Is like a mercenary/bounty hunter(though he refuses to hunt dragons and oni) instead of staying at the monastery, because he needs money to buy food and supplies. So he starts doing bounty and/or letting people hire him. Though he doesn’t do jobs that kill people and/pr creatures at first, but over time he slowly starts taking them. But he only kills people who he thinks deserve it, so he’s a relatively good guy. He also doesn’t take jobs from clearly bad people, and doesn’t go through with a job once he realizes the person who hired him is bad.

But he still ends up finding Arin and Sora(and Ryu), and becomes their dad :). But oh no, he finds the ninja. And they aren’t supportive of the whole job, so that’s a big plot point. Oh and maybe Imperial (or however you spell it) try and hire Lloyd, another plot point. Arin and Soea get nervous thinking he’ll accept. Blah blah angst

He also looks like a bad ass, has horns because yes. Though his long hair hides it, because coolness. The kiddos love putting his hair up to reveal his horns and side shave. Oh, he also has dragon features like ears and a tail that he hides.(Fun fact: I gc them as dark green and black because his oni side is gold and purple. And I want them to be opposites but also really not)

Also the reason to me why he could not stay the monastery despite still being dumped there, is because he is traumatized. He doesn’t want to be in the place where he lived with his family. Because honestly, he doesn’t even know if they’re alive. And that thought alone convinced him to find somewhere else, now he didn’t settle far. In cause he did find the Ninja, but he hadn’t touch the place since he packed up his things and left. Just random check up’s to make sure no one tried to stay there. (This is just my hc for this au, you can have a different reason or him just not landing there at all. I honestly don’t mind if you don’t like the reason and go for something else, whatever you feel is right)

2. Is like an au where the events of the merge happen a lot sooner, and at the end of crystallized I hc Lloyd as 16(which is says on the fandom wiki but idk if that’s cannon or not). So instead of being in his early 20s Lloyd is like 14.

Because this happens before seabond, so Lloyd is 14. And trying to navigate the world(now to make this au line up, Arin and Sora are gonna be a bit older than they would be. So like 8-10)

And now Lloyd is a dad with two kids and a baby dragon, he has no idea what to do. And is on the verge of a meltdown 24/7 like dr Lloyd is.

Oh and he hasn’t unlocked his oni powers yet cause of the timeline, so angst anyone??

My main thoughts, as I started writing this fic, were "I need to talk about Dami's suicide". I refused to let it be, or mistaken as actual death. It's been a a draft in my docs since August 2023, as I wrote "Sweet Dreams". Eventually, the things I wrote - the things I NEEDED to (hear) tell - are in chapter 14. (you aren't a failure. You succeeded to survive.

It's not a bad thing.) ~ I didn't think I'll get so deep into trauma and suicidality in this fic. Especially not child suicidality.

In fact, I rewrote chapter 15 several times, to keep out the harder topics. But then I realised that, actually- (No one ever talks about it. ) We should talk about it. (Because it's there, and it's hard, and it's consuming). And so the whole situation with young!Damian. As I realised that, despite all differences, Dami and Damian do share some experience and major characteristics: their sense of honour, responsibility, violent upbringing. They both care deeply, but only those they consider "mine". They are very different, yes, but they both lacked stability and had lost their main caretaker more then once. They both had to grow up too fast. Taking more then they can handle.) They both experienced things no child should. (And I know it. I know how it feels. Sure, "they had worse". But suffering is subjective. Suffering doesn't care about others. You can't banish pain by telling someone "others have it worse! How dare you complain?"). And I thought - Dami had first tried to kill himself when he was 10, because he felt like there's no hope. That this was the only escape. Damian is 10/11. And he feels like a burden. (Suicide is one of the 3 leading causes of death in ages 7-24). Sure, it's different. But being a child is HARD. Adults usually don't think about it. When I was a teen, so many told me "this is the best time of my life" (If this is the best," I thought, "I don't want to see the rest of it". They lied, dear reader. My 20s are better, and so will be my 30s and 40s. I have silver hairs growing, and they reflect the lights when I look in the mirror. I have a crack by my lip and the start of crow legs by my eyes, that reminds me that I do laugh. I do smile. That things DO get better.)   The world is hard and chaotic, and trying to make sense out of it is demanding, frustrating, consuming job. We do it, slowly. It just takes time. ~ Dami had Alfred. Damian.... Doesn't even have Richard now. (And feeling lonely or isolated is a risk factor. Major life changes is a risk factor. Death of a loved one is a risk factor. Feeling like a burden is a risk factor. Damian had been screaming for help for a long time, in the only way he knows. He deserves to be heard.) ~ On a personal note: This fic (and series) had been a big part of my life in the last year. This brought me some stability and escapism in the hard times we've gone through (that are still happening). The writing process had been complicated and funny, hard and delightful, torture and pleasure. Thank you, reader, for taking the time to read it. Thank you for those who stayed here, who waited every week for a chapter (and waited patiently during The Big Crisis). Thank you for those who just found it, and might have read it in a single day. General:

1. Do you read fic? Do you write fic? I read more than I write. But if y'all are interested, here are my fics on AO3.

2. Favorite genre of fic? Romance (and comedy)!

4. Favorite pairing? I find myself reading mainly HideKane (Tokyo Ghoul) and KagaKuro (Kuroko no Basuke) fics.

6. Favorite fic (or one of them)? I have way too many! But I'll choose this KagaKuro fic called Rewards by ContraryBee.

7. One-shots or longfic? I like both. But I prefer longfics if the plot is too good to be short.

8. Do you read WIPs? Yes, but I always wish they'd be finished soon because some of the plots get to be so good!

9. What is the longest fic you’ve read? I've been on/off reading one that has like 60-something chapters.

10. Favorite trope/element/scenario in fic? (Childhood) friends-to-lovers!

12. What turns you away the most from a fic? I usually power through a fic regardless, but I suppose it would have to be when a character is so out of character.

Angst:

13. Has a fic ever made you cry? A few have gotten me in my feels.

14. What tropes/elements/scenarios get you the worst? Major character death, ones where my OTP don't end up together in the end, and cheatfics.

15. Do you mind when characters cry? Not at all. Most are human after all.

16. How do you feel about character death in fic? I don't mind it.

17. Any characters who you can’t stand to see in pain? My faves (obviously). I recall feeling for Kagami in three separate fics.

18. Favorite angst fic? One of them is this KagaKuro fic called i'm leaving this letter with no address (no need to fear the distance here) by liveonanon.

Porn:

19. Do you read porn or does it make you uncomfortable? Lol, most of my bookmarks are 'M' or 'E' rated for a reason.

20. Do you like PWPs? Yes.

21. How and when did you get introduced to smut fic? Any horror stories? I was just reading random fics that I had stumbled upon in anime directories or FF.net. I was probably 12-13? I can't remember. I didn't read them often.

22. Biggest turn-ons in fic? Embarrassing to say, but riding and breeding.

24. Do you have any dirty kinks that you’re ashamed of? Again, breeding.

27. Rough sex or gentle sex? Either is okay.

28. How do you feel about masturbation in fic? It's okay.

29. How do you feel about non-con and dub-con? It can feel icky sometimes, but I power through.

30. Favorite porn fic? This is one of them (a HideKane fic) called Mmmmm Boooooi by universealterations. It is a collection of drabbles for HideKane Smut Week several years ago.

AU:

31. Do you read AUs? Of course!

32. Favorite AU tropes? I suppose the usual ones: flower shop, coffee shop, tattoo parlor, idols, etc. For KagaKuro, I do like ones that involve their "alternative" jobs (Kagami as a firefighter and Kuroko as a teacher).

34. Do you like UAs (universe-alterations, when the main universe and characters are the same but one plot point/decision/outcome is altered)? Yeah, those are also nice to read, too. A few HideKane fics are like that (mainly focusing on "what ifs" taking place around their reuniting either in √A or :re).

35. Do you like high school and college AUs? Yes, they're fine.

36. Do you like crossovers? If so, favorite crossover? When I was younger, I loved them! I didn't read many though. Now, it kind of depends. As for a favorite, there is a crack story of sorts that my sister and I have been making up for years now, and it involves a slew of anime characters just simply interacting.

37. How do you feel about parent!fics/lovechildren? How about mpreg? I like them. In fact, three of my fics are implied mpreg for HideKane and I have a couple of headcanons for a couple of my ships having lovechildren.

38. How do you feel about genderbending? De-aging? Animalizing? Not really something I'm into.

39. Favorite AU fic? One of them is this KagaKuro fic called The Last Miracle by Alice Strife.

Fluff:

40. Do you like fluff? Absolutely!

41. Favorite fluffy tropes? Domestic living!

43. Do you like fluff on its own or in conjunction with other elements (angst, sex, etc.) It's nice on it's own, but I do like it with other genres as well.

44. How fluffy is too fluffy? Nothing is too fluffy! The fluffier the better! Some of my OTPs deserve all the fluff (*coughhidekanecough*).

45. Favorite fluff fic? One of them is a KagaKuro fic called The Polar Opposite of Cold Feet by courtingstars (FallingSilver).

Only 2 short shippy prompts all month! All 4 modern girls got a couple spotlights, various family cameos and backstories, a future prompt as is tradition, Zaine had a few posts, a few NPC-only scenes, a LOT of Endwalker, and even Ancient Icarus got a story, tying into 2021's "Destruct" prompt and how/why the siblings' souls have been connected through time and reincarnations.

A few of these are alternate takes on scenes I've touched on before, but it's interesting what a new prompt at a different time can get one to say, how we change as writers in what we focus on and how we say it.

This comes in roughly 300 words shorter than last year, at 18,493. The week of the 18-22 I had off work for my birthday, and that had the most 1k+ prompts, with a word count nearly double the other 3 full weeks. While the longer prompts are good, I'm really happy with how so many of the short ones turned out!

I was again trying to be realistic about my time, energy, not pushing free write days...and also working on an original writing project on the side, so I actually did do more writing over the month, just not FFXIV related!

(Also why some of my responses were in just under the wire...)

But this was a good break and exercise from that other writing, and let me try a few new things.

And comparing to earlier years--especially 2017 and 2018 when I was getting back onto the writing horse and feeling out my OCs--I feel like my growth as a writer, especially to be more succinct yet still evocative when needed, is evident. I've gotten a lot of practice in over time, and this challenge is one of the things that helped me get to where I can write an original story on top of my fanfic!

Breakdowns for funsies: Longest: 21 Grave; 1,652 words Shortest: 14 Clear; 106 words

Between 100-500 words: 1 Envoy; 2 Bark; 4 Off the Hook; 5 Barbarous; 7 Noisome; 8 Shed; 14 Clear; 15 Portentous; 26 Last; 27 Sole. Between 500-1000 words: 6 Ring; 11 Once Bitten, Twice Shy; 13 Check; 16 Jerk; 18 Fish Out of Water; 22 Fulsome; 23 Suit; 25 Call it a Day; 28 Blunt; 29 Contravention; 30 Amity. 1000+ words: 9 Fair; 12 Dowdy; 19 Weal; 20 Hamper; 21 Grave.

I didn't look at the totals until the end; I only checked some of the shorter ones during the challenge to see if they hit my personal "500+ words" cut off for adding a Read More to the posts.

"Grave" honestly could have been a lot shorter; I started the plot too early, and much as I like Zaine making one last visit to his childhood Nana, for the purposes of the challenge, I could have just focused on going to the lichyard to save myself time and energy, and wrote about the visit on my own another time. On the other hand, it's done now!

Not sure which is a favorite; there's a lot I like.

As usual, these will be revised at...some point (some more than others, probably) and added to Ao3, in my various series and threads.

Tbh I think people ask you too much sometimes. (Another anon) like I understand the concern over a dear fic that might not be finished, but I think it's necessary to give the writer the absolute time as much as they need. Another thing: I am a BIG fan of all of your works, and shamelessly, I am actually more obsessed with Nights at the museum than with FE, which is crazy because you posted like– 10 sentences of it? But I understand that you might decide not to work on it at all. I think you already have gave this fandom a lot, and it's not fair to stay away from your other hobbies for it. Writing fanfic is supposed to be fun, it's not a career. I think you deserve as much as rest as you need. And hey! I'm just a teenager who's recently dealing with college, you are a grown woman with a husband and a son. I can't imagine how difficult it must be to find time to write fanfics when you have real life struggles, especially because you truly make sure that every chapter is perfection, you put your heart into this, it's clear. I think people need to understand that there's a real person behind that username, not a robot.

It's just wild how much things have changed since I started posting FE? I was fresh out of school and my now-husband-then-boyfriend and I were long-distance and my job was the sort that gave me lots of mental energy for writing in the evenings. I just didn't have the commitments. Even after I got married, my husband worked crazy long shifts and I had a lot of time by myself to kill, and I was teaching so I had a lot of time during summer hiatus and during winter breaks just to write. A completely different world from the 24/7 responsibility of raising a human being.

Anyway, since you were so lovely, here is another snippet from Nights at the Museum:

Like clockwork, one of the dispersing museum-goers jostles into her and knocks her off her feet. Klaus catches her.

The girl drops her bag and clutches her side, sucking in huge, deep breaths from between clenched teeth.

“Are you alright?” he asks, pushing as much concern into his voice as he possibly can.

She looks up at him. Recognition flickers in her eyes for just a moment, there and then gone.

“Thanks for catching me,” she says. She tries to pick her bag up but drops it again and relatches her hands into the same place.

“Let me get that for you.” He swings her bag up over his shoulder and puts a proprietary hand on her shoulder. “You look like you need to sit down, sweetheart. Here.” He clears a path for her to the nearest bench and sets her down next to him.

She smiles for him, and that smile lights up the shadows in her young face. “Thank you. I don’t know what I would have done without some help back there.”

“Are you quite alright? You don’t need to go to hospital, do you?” He says it lightly, like he’s joking, but in actuality, he’s curious as to what she will say.

“Already been in the hospital. Don’t think they can do much more for me.”

What he wants in that instant is to ask her what for, but that information will have to come in time.

The girl takes a few more deep, steadying breaths. Then, she stands, and takes her bag back from him. “Thank you,” she tells him again, and waves goodbye to him before stepping out into the night.

Klaus watches her go, still feeling light-headed from the turn this night has taken.

When he has had a moment to collect himself, he pulls her wallet out from his pocket and studies the plastic driver’s license therein.

Ramblings: These are really random?? I don't have three dogs but I would like a life-like groundhog statue to put in my garden. My extracurricular activities involve doing whatever my friend is into at the moment. Lately it's been tennis but I've made a lot of excuses so I've managed to escape that so far. There’s so many jokes s1 Johnny makes that I can just roll my eyes at like. He’s supposed to be stupid, he’s supposed to have silly outdated beliefs, who cares. Some of them are legitimately funny to me, too. But then there’s like. 1-2 moments where I cannot help getting legitimately heated, and him calling Miguel an ‘illegal’ is the main one. Maybe it’s bc I grew up in the southwest us and so I’m extra sensitive to that shit, but that’s not fucking funny. It’s not. It goes so beyond “haha this guy hasn’t moved on from the 80s.” And yeah Johnny’s a white guy but if he’s spent his entire life in the valley he should have an idea, actually, what it means to call someone that, the violence and disruption it could invite into their life. He should know that.

Granted I think they should’ve just cut the line to begin with. Three white american guys writing a script of their karate kid fanfic don’t need to be making jokes like that. Especially since if it were meant to actually be an interesting character moment, Miguel would’ve been allowed to actually react to it. And feel something about it. But of course he doesn’t get to do that, bc his job is apparently to put up w Johnny’s backward (and intermittently racist) comments 24/7 without complaint.

("taako looks at him some type of way kravitz can't possibly begin to understand" sort of thing) but also like. sometimes a given scenario screams a certain guy? it's what's fun. mostly.

Bold of you to assume I have time to write.

When I first started it was during the height of quarantine and all my classes were online so I was able to write just about 24/7. Nowadays I struggle to find time to take a nap, much less write something. I can't find time for the life of me because I work 4 days a week and do school the other three. I could not give good advice on that because I havent even figured that out.

But I can talk about writing exercises!!!

Writing exercises are exactly like workout exercises. For athletic exercises, you have to format them to target a specific area one day and the another the next because you cant target everything all at once, its just not possible. Additionally, your exercises have to be geared to your body and your goals and no one elses, which means that no ones exercise regime is gonna work for you.

Writing exercises work the same way.

There are TONS of different writing exercises to choose from, even if you type it into google, theres so many:

Theres the tiktok ones where they give you a prompt and you just write---those are to practice the act of getting yourself to write with the flow and not stick yourself to one narrative. They're target is creativity.

Theres the ones where someone lists 5 random things (hairbrush, almonds, lightbulb, rain, + math) and you have to somehow connect them all into one cohesive story---those are to practice plot connection and brainstorming, thinking big picture from smaller thoughts.

Theres the ones where your given a dialogue prompt, those lists that float around tumblr all the time? Yea those ones----those are to practice, you guessed it, dialogue! Mostly character interaction and building up to that prompt.

Theres the challenges that float around tumblr too, (Whumptober, Kinktober, uhhh, other 'tobers?) where your given a word or prompt for each day of the month and your job is to do something with it. These challenges are to target omg, Quantity > Quality !!! They're used to get you out of your head and to just write, even if day 14 and 28 suck, you did it, and you probably learned something from it. This also targets lack of motivation and learning how to write even on days you dont want to, your writing feels like it sucks, etc.

For me, I use fanfic ideas as my own exercises because those ^^ just dont do it for me, I get bored and feel too constrained, it defeats the point. So instead, I take a step back and think about where I think my writing needs improvement.

At the time, it was my narration because holy fuck did I suck at narration in the beginning, my fics read like a college lecture (boring). So I thought about using Nightmare as a way to exercise narration in a story I knew wasn't gonna get a lot of traction anyway. Nightmare's plot literally follows the plot of a game, theres not much leeway for me to change it which means I get to look at the video game and really deep dive into visuals/imagery and narrating action in a way that is interesting/actually makes sense without needing to worry about plot at all.

I didn't need plot help, so why do an exercise on plot? Hence why Nightmare has very little plot (aside from, yk, the big plot coming up but oh well) outside of the game at the moment.

Then came me trying to branch out and learn how to write multiple characters at once (hello Exhaust and Exhaustion, my love). So I wrote a fic with that in mind.

Nowadays I struggle with dialogue because I'm really nervous about making a character OOC. So I thought of random fic ideas that were dialogue heavy (Self Care Day is all dialogue and its literally nonsense because Its just me practicing characters talking to each other) so I could practice.

Truly, writing exercises are exactly what you make of it, its honestly just writing with the purpose of practicing and experimenting with your style of writing instead of writing for the sake of telling a story.

Yes, all the fics above tell a story, but I didn't write them with that intention, I wrote them with the intent to grow. I also didn't stress about how it would come out either, the point of an exercise is to do it knowing it wont be perfect.

Thats the entire reason why youre doing it: to practice.

So that hopefully someday you can take what you learned from that exercise and use it in the future.

7. What is your deepest joy about writing?

I've said before that for me writing is about escapism, and one of the things I enjoy most is the ability to disappear into the narrative world; but I think I get the most joy from writing a sentence which just rings on the page, where the expression or simile or word choice seems exactly right. It gives me such a sense of achievement.

19. Tell me a story about your writing journey. When did you start? Why did you start? Were there bumps along the way? Where are you now and where are you going?

I've talked a little about this before, but writing really took me by surprise. I write non-fiction for my job and although I've always read a lot, I never wanted to write fiction - I saw myself as a reader, not a writer. Then when I was fifty I went to see The Magnificent Seven (2016) and was completely consumed by it, read all the fics which were being written in the first flush of the fandom, and inevitably, decided that I wanted to try writing a Mag7 story too. So I did, and I found that the writing process was so rewarding that I didn't want to stop.

In the beginning I found it difficult to write at length and I had a lot to learn about dialogue and the conventions of writing, but I just kept going (and was very fortunate to be in such a close-knit and supportive fandom, which gave me enormous engagement and encouragement) and learnt by doing.

Eventually I started wanting to branch out and write in other fandoms, though it felt like a betrayal at the time, and through Yuletide primarily I drifted into writing for more literary fandoms too.

Where am I going? Not towards original work, at least not as long as I'm trying to balance writing for work too. I write fanfic purely for enjoyment, and I've moved very obviously into gen fic in recent years too - I like to write about what-if ideas and feelings.

24. How much prep work do you put into your stories? What does that look like for you? Do you enjoy this part or do you just want to get on with it?

Zilch. Absolutely zero. What happens is that I have an idea which slaps me round the head like a wet haddock, and I just start writing it down. I scribble away, putting down as much of it as I can in a discontinous rush, then when I run dry I look at it and decide if I want to go through with the story - it's a commitment because I don't leave stories unfinished. If I decide to go for it I type it all up and begin editing and adding to it, and only at that stage do I start looking stuff up if I need to. It probably needs saying that I'm a very slow writer and I've got slower over time, because I edit and polish what I write so much. So there is work there, but none of it comes at the start.

I love you guys. I really do, but some of yall are taking my writing and updating once a week for granted so this is just a PSA.

This is a hobby. Writing fanfic is a hobby. It is a funy hobby and one of the two hobbies I have the other is sewing/quilting.

HOWEVER.

I am also a freelancer, a stay at home mom, and a single mom to twins on top of that. I've been a single mom since the day they left the NICU. I had preterm twin babies who still to this day have some behavioral problems that needs my attention.

WITH THAT SAID.

I am a freelance Editor, Beta Reader, Ghostwriter, and Proofreader. I have clients and a job that doesn't officially have a clock out period. I am doing something 24/7.

Writing fanfic is fun, an escape, and something I don't completely need to focus on. Yes I edit it and I give it the courtesy skimming before publishing. But I do not write and edit and proofread my fanfics the way I write and edit for my job.

This is to escape that.

So while I am so glad and happy you guys love my stories that you want more of it, just remember when you comment or private message me two days after publishing a new chapter asking me to update...no just don't do it.

Don't do it to anyone. Everyone has a life outside of this world of fanfiction.

Yes it fucking is Jessica. If I posted every chapter I have written for this story you would be confused. I dumpster write which means for the very first writing of a chapter I just slap down whatever I want to happen which ends up to be about 500-1k words then I edit that like 2-5 times before you have the chapters you all know and love with 3-4k words. Also I just wrote what? An 11k chapter for you little fuckers so relax a bit.

NOT ONLY THAT

I am renovating a home and helping my narcissistic mom with her hoarding lifestyle while also listening to her telling me my freelancing isn't a real job despite the fact I support my self and my family just fine while also giving my sister money on the regular because she won't ask our parents anymore because they make her feel guilty for needing to pay her heating.

(Sorry. I love her I do. She's my best friend when she's on a good day but that switch can be turned in 0.3 seconds I swear.)

There are only so many hours in a day. So many hours in a week. I need more than most of those for my job(s).

This isn't to say I'm not open to comments reminding me,

This is for the person who has religiously private messged me every week since the first chapter asking me to update two days after publishing and then messaging me every day until Tuesday night and messaging me every hour or two on Wednesdays until I update.

Last week when I didn't publish until Thursday she told me I had responsibilities to my readers.

I have never wanted to throw my computer out my window before.

Anyway.

Any updates on Stroopwaffels?

Hi! Unfortunately Stroopwafels is still bubbling on the back burner at the moment. I do have some of the epilogue written and a lot of it plotted out in my head, but I haven't had time to write any fanfiction basically since the end of September, when I finished drafting the Coven of Crows fic. All the time and energy I was able to devote to fanfic over the summer and at the beginning of this semester has disappeared into grad school things. I'm on the job market this semester, which for academic positions is very labor intensive. Every single application has different materials they want (teaching statement, research statement, diversity statement, writing sample, sample syllabus) and different requirements (page counts or word counts, topics to address, etc.). And even if they just want a CV and cover letter, I'm still researching their department/school and massively revising my basic cover letter to say how I fit their needs, which faculty I'd want to collaborate with, what classes I would teach, what new classes I could develop, what resources and initiatives I'd use or contribute to, etc. I'm also tutoring four days a week, doing tasks for my department as a Research Assistant, prepping my class for spring (from scratch--it's a totally new course, and it will be really fun but it's a lot of work), drafting a journal article due in March, and finishing my dissertation (in theory, at least--I haven't actually been able to work on it in weeks). So, y'know, generally living with 24/7 panic about how I can possibly get all of that done 🙃🙃🙃

I really appreciate that folks love Stroopwafels as much as they do, and I understand the worry that the fic will be abandoned and the desire to read the next bit. I promise that it's not abandoned, and I would much rather be working on it right now rather than any of this other stuff. But at the moment, I can't even juggle the work I actually need to do, let alone the stuff I want to do for fun. Thanks for your continued patience!

It's a world building and oc specific Deltarune AU I made, this other ask post is a good starting point,

it's also a lie and not just the basics and is too complicated even when it is TECHNICALLY just the basics - just overexplained ! enjoy my two writing styles on these two posts, by the way !

for stuff i havent explained there, i can go briefly over the main story (tho there's side stories, characters unrelated to the main story etc.)

it follows blank, an addison who lives with his best friend and adoptive sibling, berry. together they co-own a library/bookstore/movie stuff store! it's a chill place, and stands out from the rest of the cyber city aesthetic by being.. well.. more chilled out! it is a safe place that berry wants to keep that way for anyone who may need it. they're also next to a cafe, owned by a swatcling named mocha (owned by a friend). she is their adoptive sister.

maddison is another important character, he's the adoptive gamer bro to all of them. they grew up raised by mocha's parents, alongside with mocha's sibling, tired swatchling. yes. their name is "tired". are they tired? yes. but they're in the background, back to the main point

blank is.... more outgoing and has bigger dreams, and berry is comfortable where they are at and... well... severely neurodivergent coded after yours truly (so is blank. you fool. all of the 3 main addisons are just different parts of me projected on advertisement people)

he goes out to cafes, and he even performs stand up comedy! he always had dreams working in theater, but he's an addison. they sell things and have a natural urge to do it. (berry lacks it)

he becomes besties with spamton! they promised to each other that they'd be by each other's side together, as the underdogs. they'd help each other out... and one day they will be BIG! Together! and together they can help those around them!

well.. that's not what happened, did it?! not gonna go into detail, but hee hoo, spamton and the addisons mutually pretty much abandon each other and. blank has a mental breakdown. slowly! over time! one day he snaps at berry and... UH OH! turns out he has friends tied to the cyber city black market, and mafia, essentially! he goes on to buddy ol' clambert, the big bad boss of it all, and requests to buy a swatchling mask. maybe that will make him great, right? if spamton can cheat it, SO CAN HE!

well clambert is an asshole and sold him one thats badly corrupted on purpose! he literally wanted to kill blank with it! while walking back, in the middle of the street near to the library, blank puts it on and passes out, glitching and transforming as the fucked up mask does it's job. berry happens to walk by and sees it, and does te number one no-no of datapacks/swatchling masks - never EVER take it off from someone who's undergoing "installation". they tried that and it made things worse! they run off for help... but when they come back, blank is gone. he retreated back into deep dark cyber city to live there alone, to not let anyone especially berry see him like this. also going even wackier over spamton's fame, because this happens while spamton is still famous, before his own downfall

looksie where blank's own greed and disregard for others brought him, huh ? well. this isnt forever ! things happen afterwards. years later he is "found again" and theres a process of him meeting his old friends (and new ones as well)

together they plan tot ake clambert down, as he is genuinely pure filth and only cares for money and power. he ENJOYS bringing people down to make himself feel better and more powerful. he wants people under his control, and he wants to see them suffer. he keeps selling out these horrible corrupted masks and other things. . also blank just wants revenge he is angry and rage-filled basically 24/7. if it werent for the rules of the au, he WOULD have a body count

so that's ! a short view on the story

oh yeah also spamton gets the fanfic treatment and does not go with kris after the neo fight, he stays and is found and taken out of the basement. and so begins his very, very painful path to recovery and eventually meeting his old friends.

after all these years, him and blank are not that different are they? very different, yet the same in many ways

but also blank is now a 8'7 tall monster that wants to attack everything on sight and has pet rats in his hair. would you believe me that even that beast of a guy is still based on me ? yeah !
