Hey Y’all!!

Here is the start of hopefully monthly updates. I know in my last update I said I was going to be more consistently here and active. Obviously, that didn’t happen lol. Trying to hold myself to that rn. So this is probably going to be the format for all of my update posts, just so they are easier to follow.

Refresh:

So I am almost completely done with the blog refresh. I think all that is left is updating links and getting some other posts (ex: theme days) made/redone. Most of that got put on the back burner due to how long they were going to take lol. But hopefully, over Spring Break, I’ll be able to get those done (no promises, another thing I’m trying to do, is be more realistic about what I want to get done by when so). 

Writing/Other Content:

Ik I said I’d write more. Once again didn’t really happen. Well, I have written a decent bit, but never finished anything. There is one fic that I am going to try and work on after this week (midterms lol) and have someone look over it (the first time I’ve had a beta reader, look at me go lol). Like the blog as a whole, I am trying to organize my writing, like requests and my ideas and what is going out when etc. (@ any of the other writers if you have any suggestions of what to/where to organize my stuff so it doesn’t get all confusing and mixed up you should def let me know). Speaking of requests, I am going to try and do at least two requests a month. That doesn’t sound like a lot but for me, that feels like something I can realistically do. I will be doing old requests first because even though they are years old at this point, I liked the ideas so I genuinely want to write them. I am still going to be accepting new requests (esp because sometimes that helps spark creativity/help with writer’s block so feel free to send in any ideas!!) but I will try to get those older ones done first. As for any other content (playlists, moodboards, IG edits, drawings, etc.) I am also taking requests for those so feel free to send in any of those requests too. 

Another Blog?!

As of rn the second hockey blog has not been “released”. I want to catch up on things for this blog before I throw that into the mix and try to grow that as well. I am hoping to add that sometime this summer. Also, I do technically have a sideblog already (@samistheman) which is normally where I reblog random things, and I don’t really have tags for that blog I just kinda willy-nilly reblog there (it used to be mostly PJO stuff but now that’s kind of here because of how much of it there is lol).

Life Update:

College is a lot rn. I’m doing 17 credit hours and tbh do not know what possessed me to do that. At first, I was doing pretty good, but now not so much. Like I said earlier I have midterms this week. If y’all didn’t know this, I’m shit at taking tests so not doing great rn. Thankfully one of my classes ends on Sunday so at least I don’t have to worry about that. I’ve had a lot going on in my personal life recently that is impacting a lot so trying to navigate that as well. I am moving out in May, which is yes months from now but there is still a lot that I need to do beforehand. Anyway, I’m going to a college hockey game on Thursday and I am super excited. I haven’t been able to go to a game since October. Also little fun update, I’m going on a weekend (work) trip to Boston. Super excited for that. I’ll be getting to go to a Celtics game and a Red Sox game (I’m a Royals girlie tho). I’ve never been to an NBA game so that’s for sure gonna be really cool. I’ve been to many MLB games before but this will be my first at a different stadium. Anyway, I think that is it for this update. Hope y’all are doing well!!

important announcements abt my askbox + 700 followers event. not proofread, so excuse any mistakes. use context clues.

firstly, i would like to thank everyone who sent their lewdings in my askbox. i appreciated it more than u know. i, however have a couple of problems regarding my askbox like holding asks for too long, not being inspired enough to write, forgetting my asks & etc. so asks tend to stay in my askbox for months. i keep telling myself not to feel bad bc it happens & i can’t force myself to write even tho i want. but i still do. so sincerely, i’m incredibly sorry for the asks that i didn’t do/get to. ik some of u work up a helluva courage to send to me, just for me not to do it. i feel like shit bc of it. to put it simply, i deleted all the asks in my askbox.

+ abt my askbox, i don’t like being perceived as mean, shocker right? so i force myself to put energy into my asks bc i don’t want my anons to think i’m being rude or disrespectful w how i normally am but it’s tiring. so tiring that i just close out of my askbox for the day. there are times where i just don’t feel social. so for now on, i will answer asks how i want & u don’t have to send any if u find me being rude. i will remember to use tone indicators where i see fit.

secondly, regarding my 700 followers event, idek. atm i’m not inspired to do it & is 80% close to deleting the entire event despite me loving every little bit of it. i took three days coming up w that event and spent even longer coming up w names for the habitats 😒 i’m not sure what happened to the inspo i had for the event. around that time, i just went into a big funk where i couldn’t write despite having everything that i need to write. it’s disheartening. i can’t keep making myself feel bad because once again, it’s out of my control. instead, i’m coming out w a hybrid collab for dom content writers. not gonna talk much abt that yet. but i want everyone to be prepared & i want everyone to actually do it. and not leave me nor any of u, hanging. (like i did) so i want to do it where it’s a comfy time for writers to add a drabble or two to their list of to-do’s. so it’s like, either my 700 followers event or the hybrid collab. i’m not doing both, not around the same time atleast yk? so, the 700 followers event will most likely be deleted.

okay! so as the title says, i’m going on a short break, just till April 13th.

it is, yet again, the end of the quarter and while my grades are not as terrible as before, but i do need to distance myself from online stuff and focus on school.

Your interactions mean the world to me, even the most minute things like reblogs make my heart flutter. I really do check the reblogs to see if anyone has left a tag. Single words and keyboard smashes mean the world to me too !! Before I was a fic writer, I was just a silent reader. I always admired writers for the worlds they craft, the characters they develop, and the plots they devise, all for it to come together in one cohesive work of literature. Now that I have a vague understanding of what that’s like, I know that it’s nothing short of strenuous. Words are so powerful, and although I’m a really sensitive sap, I’ve read so many things that hit me to the core, and now I’m sure to tell the authors how much I enjoy their fics. If they went through hours (perhaps days/weeks/months) of drafting, writing, editing, and formatting, a quick comment from the reader really doesn’t hurt !! It’s the most rewarding thing a writer could ever ask for. As an amateur author myself, being on the receiving end is the thing that keeps me going !! I promise you, I don’t take any of it for granted. Your words seriously resonate with me, and it’s a huge motivator for me !! I hope that in the new year, I can work on new pieces for you all (as much as I don’t want to make up excuses, juggling life is not easy as a student!!) I always say that I write for myself, and as true as that is, I want to share my stories with you lovely people !!
