Off this is even harder cause I know very few cat breeds and temperments but ill try based on a 10-minute Google search of the phrase cat breeds:

Surv: Maine Coon. This is very obvious. Surv is big, this cat is big and again I just love the idea of a big animal that's superimposing but is otherwise sort of complacent. It could be a force to reckon with but it would rather sleep just like Surv.

Banner: Ragdoll. Generic but popular, nothing special about them but also so many people imagine them as a standard cats. Sorta like Banner's outlook about things and themself along with it kinda looking a bit snooty to me despite how common it is.

Audi: Persian. This is simply because Audi to me embodies a lot of smooshed-face sorts of animals and animals with nice coats. Also apparently they are pretty affectionate towards their families and that's in line with Audi so go figure.

Vidie: Norwegian Forest Cat. Bro these things look cool and high and mighty and I think Vidie would own one named Dutchess or Strawberry Acai or some shit. It's got that face and build that tell me this thing is gonna knock over a vase and you'll apologize

Spamton: Devon or Cornish Rex. It would be obvious to make Spam a munchkin but I like the idea he is overall tiny, not just short legs. These cats are notorious for being small and I think their odd looks give them the same charm as Spamton.

Sorry if this doesn't feel as matching as the dog breeds but I realized I really don't know much about cats.

I strongly subscribe to the Clear Sky vitiligo idea, so I'd have them call it something like "Clear Sky's Clouds" because the condition is named after him.

In Fanclan groups who never had a Clear Sky, I'd think they'd call it something like "Climbing Clouds" because of how it changes over time.

hey so your notes on the internet safety post made me realize that we watched the exact same internet safety video as kids. and i found it! its a mcgruff the crime dog animation called faux paw the techno cat, and its on youtube

Yeah!!! Faux Paw! I remembered all the cat stuff so clearly with the cursor helper and the horrible cgi that I completely forgot that it was a Mcgruff the crime dog animation.

I looked into it, and it turns out that some reposts of the animation online cut out the McGruff part, so I probably watched a version without it and just forgot about it.

Also, it turns out that Faux Paw has multiple shorts made as recent as 3 years ago... but the animation quality has gone down a LOT.

And just quality in general.

Also, it's kinda racist. It takes place in China, and it handles it about as well as you think it will.

I think a detail that stuck out in this is probably the fact that whoever animates or draws this keeps giving Faux Paw 6 fingers. Like. When she points to say something, you can see a pointer, 4 folded fingers, and a thumb. This is jarring in normal contexts, but I think it's even weirder when a character was previously shown with 4 fingers (which is just the 4 digits on a cat's paw and no dewclaw)

Turns out! This is on purpose! Sometime between the original short and now, they decided to make Faux Paw a polydactyl cat! Which is kinda interesting, and I was gonna list it as an animation mistake above before I went on the official website to read about her.

Another fun fact! I googled Faux Paw to see if there was a former collaboration with McGruff and if there was more information on the production of the series. The first result I got was Faux Paw trippy/drug/high shirts that were likely a stolen design.

Which like, if it wasn't for my dislike of general "trippy" art and the fact that it's likely a stolen design being sold by a random quick cash t-shirt business, I would consider it. (The website itself is super iffy and relies on a lot of "buy now before it's gone!!" Tactics. It does have a lot of artists that work for the site and is not just a t-shirt printing machine like some sites... but the specific artist behind this trippy Faux Paw shirt has a lot of designs I've seen before. Since there's no dates on the designs, I can't confirm if this artist team is simply the mastermind behind every Spencer's shirt, if they're just taking designs, or some third thing. But that's a whole separate rabbithole.)

I also saw a listing involving her that was 2,000 dollars and was from a company called "Robotronics". I thought with a name and price tag like that, it was going to be a little Faux Paw robot or animatronic...

It was not.

You can see the extra fingers in the suit costume. Apparently, this is a website dedicated to making costumes, robots, and (for lack of a better term) merch about safety for children.

In the end, I couldn't find much information on the development of Faux Paw, her relation to Mcgruff the Crime dog, or the weird fall from grace (well. Whatever grace the original short had). If you simply google Faux Paw, you're gonna end up with a LOT of pdfs from teachers. But it seems like some form of internet safety is still being taught by some teachers. Yippee!

Basically: I did remember the name Faux Paw, but if you didn't mention McGruff the crime dog, I probably wouldn't have gone down this rabbithole. And I thank you for that.

Downey and Boggis are all about crime prevention. Cops aren't, by their very nature. They're reactive.

If the Assassins and Thieves' approach to prevention is colourful and florid—especially if you like the colour red—it is hardly their fault that this is what works best.

What culture are the members of Omatikaya inspired by? I mean what roots would they have in modern au. Metkayina is Maori inspired so I guess they could be considered as that origin but I have no idea about Omatikaya and Im terrible at geography 💀

As it is set in some weird world in between Britain and the US, in my head they are something akin to indigenous tribes from the US and the First Nations in Canada. I haven’t thought toooo much about the tribe’s backstory and that’s my bad for not knowing much about indigenous communities (there aren’t any in the UK) 🥰

its definitely less “official” than proper therapist, but the letter of recommendation for an emotional supper pet you get is in fact from a Real Certified Therapist (at least mine was, i checked), and it carries no indication of being provided through the website, so i doubt people would be like “oh this isn’t legitimate”

in general is it cutting corners? certainly, but it is a good option if you dont have access to/funds for a proper diagnosis, and if you genuinely think an emotional support animal would make your life better, its worth researching. i dont know if i’d call it “fake” per say, but it is for sure easier to fake than yknow a proper diagnosis, so i see why this would be an issue nonetheless. two sides to everything etc etc

oo, erm, please take the rest of my response in the context that i really have, maybe a collective of 3 hours worth of research on this topic as i was originally planning not to use an ESA site at all, and im not aware of the specifics of any experience using official, medical, therapy options.

im really glad that everything went smoothly for you, and i hope that more people can have access to treatment just as easily and with just as much documentation to prove it.

But the conduct surrounding the treatment of mental health is unfairly complicated so it's not unwise to be picky about which route one takes to receive the documentation and care they require. ideally, no one would have to worry if the letter they acquired IS legitimate and they could collect the proper benefits. unfortunately, i dont know if my school cares about my mental health more than their precious building so much so that they would dig around and find some critical loophole to keep my pet out

the research i DID do uncovered reviews stating that people had their pettable letters denied and in some cases there was fine print that prevented them from getting refunded. the question at the end of the day is do i trust the ESA site to give me valid documentation MORE than i trust my school to be OVERLY, even MALICIOUSLY nitpicky about the legitimacy of my paperwork.

and, i personally would have to be cautious since it's more than a simple drive my cat would have to endure but a plane ride too, and another one back if he's suddenly denied an ESA position, so i can't risk the letter having even one pitfall. i do hope you understand everyone's apprehension ^^ I will continue doing my research and hope that in the end i dont give my school one more reason to be even more strict with ESA especially for people who need them more than me (because there are, probably, people who poorly fake the papers and then make it harder for the rest of us as the other user is calling attention to)

Have you thought about how she would be constructed as a puppet? She has such an interesting body shape so I was wondering if you had any ideas about how she would move?

Shes 4 feet tall, she would most likely have two versions if she was a licensed character. she has similar hand movements to cookie monster, a person would be in control of her hands so she can do creepy hand gestures, that one's feet would probably be controlled with bars. She stomps her feet hard and moves like a frankenstien's henchmen type, kind of almost limping harshly

her head would be a wheel- still extra furry of course, but enough to give her a lot of movement when she walks, she also spins her head when she speaks- I'm not sure how her mouth would move, but there would be some sort of blinking mechanic in her eyes that would let the puppeteer blink one eye at a time, slowly like a reptile- I'm also tossing around an idea to make her pupils removable so you can replace them with other ones for character purposes. Her head on the top also opens to reveal a brain inside. there would be something for the puppeteer inside to press to pop it open.

of she was on movement and in person, it would take one person to move her, again shes 4 feet tall, her feet would be slippers for the puppetterr to slide into, one hand holding her head wheel and the other using a rod to maneuver one hand- her design involves her constantly grabbing at the cloth - that would be like a potato bag- around her, so that arm would be sewed on and not moveable.
