He slips into a deeper sleep than he has in ages and wakes to find Remus sitting cross-legged on the floor, gently swinging the little brown bear back and forth. His big, russet eyes meet Sirius’s, and he beams.  “We still need a name for him.”  So the bear is a recent development, then. That’s helpful. “What about Teddy?”  Remus chews his lip thoughtfully. “After Ted?”  “No...” No stuffed bears named after Teddy Roosevelt in this world, then. ”Just think it suits him. Teddy bear.”  “Teddy bear.” Remus smiles. “I like that. Do you like that, Teddy?”  The bear cub squeaks with what could easily be either dismay or approval. Remus takes it as a sign of approval, kissing the bear’s—Teddy’s—cheek and tickling his tummy. Sirius wanders over to the mirror, casually studying his artfully unkempt hair and beard. He looks healthy enough—his arms well-muscled, his belly comfortably padded for winter.  “‘Why Prince Sirius, you’re the fairest of them all,’” Remus teases. “When you’re done admiring yourself, can you help me up?”  “Think I’ll take my sweet time if that’s how you’re going to ask for my help,” Sirius quips easily, scooping up the little bear in one arm and offering the other to Remus.

i don’t care how ooc it might be but i truly fully believe teddy was a traumatised harry’s salvation postwar. he kept that boy alive. physically AND mentally. harry will literally do anything for him and nothing is ever too big or too much for his godson.

i’m thinking of—harry, parenting teddy, wondering about how easy it is (it’s not, really. he’s a child bringing up another child. but take away the nappy changes and the constant crying and the keeping a living being other than yourself alive part, and it really is easy. bc he loves parenthood. loves teddy. so much) and wondering why remus never wanted this. how he could have given it up so easily. it’s honestly just really sad? like makes him hold teddy tight and never let go? primarily i think he just pities remus at that point.

i can ALSO see harry being offended, not on his behalf, but primarily on teddy’s. because this wonderful, amazing child should’ve not had his father attempt to walk out on him, shouldn’t have had to grow up an orphan but that’s what it is. i’ve only read one fic w a similar premise but i rly need more where harry is just. mad at remus postwar for his treatment of teddy lmao.

If this were an elaborate scheme to get me to listen to a song at random this is how you’d do it, link it back to Ben 10 (or some other on of my fixations, thank you NSR fandom for TheFatRat’s Electrified), though it might be my headache or my dislike of songs that are glorified broken records but I… :P don’t like Ancient Aliens (fitting for my loathing of the conspiracy itself). Either way though I do see the vibes in the lyrics, probably my preferred Ben 10 x Ancient Aliens combo, at least it doesn’t try to claim the work of ancient Egyptians were the work of tetramands only call THAT fake by sourcing it to the bumbling of the galvan duo Blukic and Driba-

Your ask reminded me of a song that I’d often connect to Ben 10 - Alien Boy by Oliver Tree, if you’ll allow me to exchange songs with you - and the lyrics always made me think specifically about omnivoracious, but “I’m an alien among the human beings” stood out to me. I don’t know where that ranks on the take scale nor if it makes the song any good (roast me, it’s only fair for what I’ve said), but the power of ‘making everything about the character’ has lead me to wilder journeys that i can’t remember woops eto bleh

the peanut butter cult, who live in the peanut butter desert, summons the peanut butter god by sacrificing a member of each of the 3 races (teddy graham, peep, gummy worm)

note the cult leader pictured in the first image, the altar visible in the second image, the frontal view of the peanut butter god in the third, the crowd of onlookers (and horror of the peanut butter god) in the fourth, and the summoning circle most clearly visible in the fifth and final photo.

this is what my family does to celebrate mother's and father's day: we make horrifying cake creations. the plan initially was to do a beach episode but now we're gonna do that next year
