My silly character thoughts before bed are that I think it's kind of funny that I sort of imply that cambions can be these catastrophic characters, these world killers and god eaters. but Clark hasn't reached that point and probably never will because he's very stable to a degree. (and also hard to rp that power level lbfr)

he's very conscious of his limits of control and there's certain parts of himself that he refuses to touch on or practice because they could be so dangerous. and I compare him a lot to David from Legion as being sort of the antithesis to him. you know David is this super powerful but unstable. kind of a wildcard.

but at some point I think that sort of controlled character that's scared of pushing limits like Clark gets to be just as dangerous as the character that just doesn't have those boundaries or can't see them or can't stop at them like David. and I think that's kind of neat to think about. it's just one giant circle of dangerous and dangerous potential, even though they're two completely different character archetypes and different in how they approach their traumas n triggers etc.

And even if they didn't don one on– their pen still moves to document the death of their family, friends and fellow colleagues who were cruelly targeted by the zionist occupation during this time.

My friend Siraj Abudayeh ( @siraj2024 ) is a journalist...

He is a writer too and before October 7, he used his gift of writing to help those who were in need. He wrote mostly about charity work back then, and it is somewhat of a cruel irony that today he has been put in the position of having to appeal to the free world for their humanity. Siraj says, "In this war, I became a needy person"

Update. — 3rd October 2024

Well, helloo. If you're following me and reading this then...you must really hate me for my lack of activity on this blog. I apologise for that. Doing a masters degree really kicks my ass, and leaves me with no time to write. But Golden has never been dead or abandoned, it's very much always at the forefront of my mind.

And, for that pure reason, I know it's a story I haven't been 1,000% happy with so the story is going through some major changes. Probably, the first is that it's being rewritten. A (somewhat) new plot written with whole new software—we're making the move to Twine.

My reasoning; I've spent over a year learning the coding which makes me want to rip my hair out. I get to have a lot more ownership over my work, the customisation options are stellar, and you guys will get to read it for free.

The reasons for rewriting has been because I want to fix the cringey writing from when the story's first demo was released. It's mostly from the earlier chapters, but then the thought of plot changes came to me and I wanted to implement those. Realistically, the majority of what's being rewritten is what I had planned for book two—so I'm just bringing that forward. I'll update the synopsis closer to the release of this rewrite.

The changes (which can be subject to change): I'm getting rid of the university idea (though you can still choose careers that are related to those degrees from the options that'll be given) (e.g., if you liked the nursing student option, then your MC can work as a nurse). I'm thinking that the MC will already know about the supernatural world to some extent—there'll still be a lot of suspense and mystery and things to unravel, that was always going to remain. And, in this rewrite, my thought is that the MC and the gang will be working at a multi-agency organisation — called The Everbrook — where the aim is to bridge the gap between humans and supernaturals. To make the world run smoothly, so to speak.

The ROs are the exact same! No changes to that—the only change is that them and the mc will somewhat know of each other already. The genre is the same. MC is still as they are, a Lehsian socialite with a pretty (yet peculiar) birthmark. The parents will have much, much less of a role, but they'll still be mentioned here and there.

This seems like a load of word vomit, but I feel like these changes will improve the story. I'm hoping that it'll make MC less of a spare part in the story, allowing them to have more autonomy in the supernatural universe, especially with their enhanced skillset.

I've done the customisation in terms of the UI layout for Twine already, and it should be mobile friendly too. With that done, I've started writing and I'm a few thousand words in. A lot of what I've written in the ChoiceScript version can still be used, but also getting back into writing a story from scratch is something I'm looking forward to.

I feel like this is a bittersweet thing because yay to a new and better story, but also the time it's going to take to get it out. I'll debate whether to release the whole ten chapters, or do a few chapters at a time, like splitting it up into chunks (releasing three chapters now, and three chapters later on).

Another reason as to why I've taken so long to mention this, other than learning code and the rewrite, is just the whole process of this being a little nerve-wracking. The whole thought of a rewrite of something I've put so much effort into is scary, but it'll be worth it.

I'll accept any questions you've got, and I'll create an FAQ regarding all of this too. But, most importantly, you're in the loop of how this is progressing. I really appreciate everyone's kind words about this story: loving the ros, re-reading it, still sticking by my writing—it means a lot. So, thank you and I hope the future of this story is what you want and more.

Kissing is... awkward... but if you're not new to this blog you guys already know that won't stop the reader from trying. She may not be able to kiss back. She may also adopt a different means of affection to make up for that. But her screen flickers for just a moment everytime you press your lips to her screen

Complete-ish Guide To Settings You Might Want to Change

These instructions will be for desktop, because the settings are easier to find there. You can do the same on mobile, but it might be in different places.

Dash settings

Your dashboard is broken down into several feeds, including "Following" and "For You".

"Following" is primarily the posts of people you follow, "For You" is algorithmic.

If you just joined, "For You" is default, if you're a longtime user it's "Following". You can change this in the settings on the right

A lot of longtime users will tell you that the Following feed is where we spend most of our time. But try out all the feeds, and see what you like most.

The settings that are settings:

To start, click the settings gear under the account icon (the abstract person head).

This should take you to the General tab. Key settings:

Community Labels: By default anything NSFW is silently hidden. You can change how each subtype is handled.

Hide Additional Mature Content: If you have an iPhone disable this or it'll hide every post from you on the off-chance it contains porn.

If you're under 18 as determined by the birthdate you entered on signup, you can't change these. (If you want them on, you'll have to make a new account and lie)

Under the "Dashboard" tab, you can enable timestamps, which is mostly just nice information to have. sometimes a post is from 2010 and you can be like wow.

The next four probably have the biggest impact on your tumblr experience, so I'm gonna do a breakdown.

Best Stuff First reorders your "Following" to have popular posts at the top. Disabling it makes your feed chronological. I like it off, but up to you.

Include Stuff In Your Orbit and Based On Your Likes put various content from "For You" into "Following". Personally, I disable them to keep "Following" purely posts by people I follow, and then switch between feeds to get what I want.

Followed Tag Posts will put content from the "Your Tags" feed into your "Following" feed. Since you can go to the separate tags feed, I usually turn this off (it tends to show me a lot of duplicate posts), but up to you.

Under the "Notifications" tab you can tell Tumblr to stop sending you emails.

I'd recommend disabling all the emails--if you get a bunch of replies, Tumblr will happily send you dozens of emails, and you don't need that.

Notifications is the push-notifications in-app/in-website. The mobile app, for some reason, has a much better interface for controlling these, including the option to only get activity-notifications for mutuals. You can leave these on, or turn them off if you find the flood of notifications is distracting.

Tumblr News is a newsletter, it usually just has content from @fandom and the other staff-run recap blogs.

Conversational notifications sends you more emails.

Under the "Tumblr Labs" tab you can enable a bunch of cool beta tests.

I particularly suggest Reblog Graphs, What you Missed tab, & Popular Reblogs tab, but they're all fun to try out. A lot of these are honestly better than the For You dashboard.

For each blog you have, you can customize it's Blog Settings. Beyond things like setting an avatar or description, there's a few settings that are fun.

Custom Theme gives you your own subdomain at [blogurl].tumblr.com.

This makes your blog easier to search, and a lot of 3rd party tools depend on you enabling it. It also makes it easier to link your posts to people who don't have tumblr accounts.

You can completely customize the CSS/HTML/Javascript. you can go legitimately crazy. It's not a requirement, but if you want unlimited flexibility, go wild.

On the contrary, if you wanna run a more private blog, you can disable this and then hide your blog from search results/non-registered users.

Likes and Following are public by default. I like to turn these off so I don't have to worry about like, "what will people think if they see i'm following [...] or liking [...]". But it's also fair to keep them public if you'd like.

The other Blog Settings are important but pretty self-explanatory I think.

Finally, there's some useful tools I like:

XKit Rewritten - A bunch of scripts (like RES for Reddit). The one I really like is "mutual checker", which shows at a glance which blogs you are in mutuals with. Which is such a good feature it's included in the mobile apps by default i think.

siikr.tumblr.com - Tumblr search is bad, and google's indexing of tumblr blogs is worse. Siikr will find any post you've made on your blog. Because disk space is limited, only use it to search your blog, and if you're tech savvy consider running a local copy from source.

Hello! My name is Lovesick and I am a fanfic writer (shocker, I know) and this post is to tell you a little bit about myself and what to expect on this account! I have been writing for the past 12 years and I have my Bachelor's of Art in Creative Writing as my secondary degree.

I am currently really into Arcane and will be posting mostly that as well as other various fandoms listed in my masterlist linked above. My requests are currently open but understand that I work full-time and I am also a grad student, so writing fanfic isn't my top priority lol.

This blog is my first ever attempt at writing smut. This is more of an experiment for me to see how I could write it. Please understand I’m still learning.

DISCLAIMER

I do not condone any of the actions done in my fanfics. I am also saying to not romanticize these actions in individuals in real life.

I understand fully that yandere can be seen as a slur(?) to people with BPD (Borderline Personality Disorder) and it is not my intention to mock those with the disorder. This blog is strictly for fun and nothing more.

GENERIC ACCOUNT RULES

As most fanfic writers do, I have a list of rules you must follow:

I. NO MINORS

This is an NSFW blog, get out.

II. DO NOT RUSH MY WRITING

I have a life outside this blog. Working full time while being a graduate student is a lot of work. I will try to be consistent with uploads as I understand people want the next chapter asap but understand that I have a life.

III. I WRITE WHAT I WANT TO WRITE WHEN I WRITE IT

At the end of the day, this is my blog and I will post what I want when I want (not to be rude lol). Just understand that I will not do every request sent to me or immediately post chapter after chapter of a fic. Sometimes it could be weeks to months. Understand that please.

IV. DO NOT REPOST MY CONTENT WITHOUT PERMISSION

I do not mean like the reblog function, I mean copy-pasting my fics onto another site or using my art without permission. Just so you know, I am a witch and all my fanfics and art are protected with a protection spell, so I wouldn't test me if I were you. (damn that sounds mean, sorry lol)

V. DO NOT USE MY HEADERS, BANNERS, AND IMAGES FOR YOUR OWN USE

I don’t know if y’all know this, but I make all the headers, banners, and images for my fics and account with ibisPaint. They take a lot of effort and I would appreciate if no one would reuse them for their own fics.

REQUESTING RULES

If you are interested in sending a request, please follow the rules below.

I. NO RUN-ON SENTENCES

I know this is a weird rule, but I am neurodivergent and run-on sentences make it hard for me to properly understand the request. Simple requests would be preferred such as: Character: [CHARACTER NAME] Fandom: [FANDOM NAME] Concept: [yada yada yada] This would help me a lot to better comprehend your request and I would be more likely to do it!

II. BE CONCISE AND CLEAR

Please don't ramble for a while about possibilities, just give me the basics of what you want the fic to be so I can at least get some creative liberty.

III. NO STRICTLY FEMALE READERS

I know this is weird, but I feel like there is an oversaturation of fem!reader fics. I am fine with a AFAB reader, but there will be no specifically female reader fics (I'm a trans man and writing female readers makes me dysphoric as well)

IV. NO NON-SMUT REQUESTS ON THIS ACCOUNT

I'm Elliot, a teenage loser who runs this blog.

I'm not pro anorexia, sh, or any other harmful illness, I believe everyone deserves to get help. I don't want my posts to get traction I just want someone to hear me scream. It is hell and I wish I could recover but I am unable to. Basic info

•I'm a transgender man who uses he/him pronouns

•I have a restrictive ed (undx) somewhere between bulimia (c/s), Anorexia (restriction), and EDNOS (b/r cycles and not uw) I'm partially recovering currently (eating more and gaining muscle back)

•I sh, I don't post pictures nor do I encourage it.

•I've been told I possibly have autism (mom won't let me attempt to get tested) and I struggle with social cues, tone tags are appreciated but not necessary (unless I need more context)

•Dx EDS, I don't currently use mobility aids except for my orthotics

•Possible OSDD or P-DID system (again not dx) I mostly cofront when I do switch. Feel free to interact with the others but PLEASE do not interact with any young ones, it's a matter of preference and safety.
