technically yes, but I just use it to host unlisted videos for embedding, so there's nothing, like, public on it. :') sorry! I basically don't post anywhere except here and occasionally on pixiv (in case it's not obvious, I suck at social media).

#god help me if i ever have to rely on it as a career because i will immediately die #i like being in one place where people can follow or block as they choose and not have to keep blocking me everywhere #fediverse seems like it would be ideal for that but i haven't seen any that have the thing that i really like about tumblr #which is that tags can work both as a cloud (like if i tag something as 'art' it shows up in the tag feed for 'art)#and also isolated (if you come to my blog and click the 'art' tag you can see only my posts tagged 'art')#(if there's a term for that i do not know it)#i might just be missing if there are any like that though #the people who i tend to look to for this kinda thing are mostly interested in straight-up twitter clones #which is...let's say less than ideal for posting art or organizing anything #so at this point if tumblr goes down i'll probably just take it as a sign to quit social media entirely ( ᐛ )#(my apologies i did not mean for this to turn into a tag novella)

idk if it's because my mum worked in a tv magazine or what but all the media wars and backstabbing and stuff happening behind the cameras is so so interesting to me

#just saw what happened yesterday in la revuelta ojalá se muera el enano pelirrojo #so for non-spaniards here's a crash course on the situation (i could do a post about media groups in spain cause it's a lot)#there's this one late night show that's been on air for about 15 years called el hormiguero #it started fine (i used to watch it with my family when it started)#but soon there were some issues that people were seeing #especially concerning the presenter (who's also the head ofthe show) pablo motos #and his attitude with female guests he'd interview #basically being very weird and gross around them #apart from that in the last year he started to get very political in the show #he invited right and far right leaders while refusing to do so with the left wing #started making monologues at the beginning of each show critizising stuff the left had done or said #and finally included a debate segment in the show in which he invited liked-minded people to discuss politics #this has directly affected his audience. my dad is a fan of el hormoguero and i've seen him turn more right wing every year #so. last summer RTVE (national broadcast company) announced they were gonna do a late night show presented by david broncano #it's hard to describe everything here but basically broncano already had a late show called la resistencia in a streaming platform #it has always been very popular with young people and it is quite left wing #the new program made by RTVE was called la revuelta. it is exactly the same as la resistencia #before it started airing people were sceptic that broncano would be able to defeat motos' hegemony #BUT. ever since it started aiting in september it has consistently been getting more audience than el hormiguero #who would've known people were tired of the redhead bastard #anyways. apart from this. different celebrities on ppdcasts have been saying that in order to promote their product they are forced to go #to el hormiguero even of they didn't want to #there's also rumours of pablo motos blackmailing people (mostly comedians) who make fun of him #and now to what happened last night. i don't watch tv so i just saw it on twitter #broncano opened the show saying that they were sorty but they had no guest tonight #they had this one person but 30 minutes before shooting the people from el hormiguero had called him #he was originally going to go both to la revuelta and el hormiguero #but the guys from el hormiguero called him to tell him that if he went to la revuelta he couldn't go to el hormiguero #el hormiguero is bigger than la revuelta so. he had to cancel #broncano went on to say this had happened before and that's why he was talking about it

There's nothing more viscerally and irrationality upsetting to me when I 90% agree with a take someone has but there's one bit of the interpretation that I don't agree with and it throws off the vibe of their statement. Because I can use my logical brain to be like "complexity and nuance exists and I can agree vehemently with aspects of their analysis but disagree with some specific one, since while it changes the intonation of the analysis, it does not change the overall thesis". But in the most primal part of my brain it's like Grug not like internal contradiction. Paradox make Grug uncomfortable with self. And it's like what the fuck Grug

I would consider when I made this blog (Oct 2022) to be when I joined the Sunny fandom, tbh!

Really tried my best to be normal about this show for awhile and keep most of my shit to notes app, private accounts or texts.. but they got the better of me in the end

#ask #i really just casually posted and engaged on reddit for the longest time #the fandom put me off for the longest time bc it seemed like most people were playing in fanon and only cared about shipping #like first of all i didnt care that much about shipping i just wanted to talk about canon and the individual characters #which no one seemed to care about #and also i wanted dennis to manipulate mac for sex while the fandom was constantly whining about how dennis was too mean to mac lmfao #so i kept my distance for awhile #but then oomf told me that was mostly a twitter thing and i should come play here #so i did #then i slowly brought my shit to twitter #i also used to be soooo normal about rcg #i would wake up monday mornings and listen to half the podcast on my way to work and save the other half for the commute home #and get annoyed and stop listening when theyd go on stupid tangents #what a blissful life...#now i feel sad when we dont see a current photo of glenn in over a month #real mental illness

i'm thinking about when i received anon hate and was accused of being a cesare hater and it had me giggling because why would i even waste effort and a second of my time making gifsets of him? but it seems like stating that he was incredibly insecure when it came to his father's love for him (similar to juan with how he feels that cesare is the one rodrigo counts on), and the difference is that his actions exhibited various forms of abuse and that a deeper analysis would reveal that his actions stemmed from negative qualities and beliefs (which is hot btw), on the other hand, juan's efforts (though he could be an obnoxious loser with a cocky assholish façade) were genuinely driven by a desire to impress his family and protect them, albeit in a misguided way (before syphilis, gangrene, and opium fried his brain and turned him rabid).

cesare wasn't given the 'from zero to hero' trope; instead, he was depicted as turning from an innocent, genuine young man who did everything for his family (especially his sister) to a power-hungry and ambitious man who didn't need to justify his wrongdoings to anyone, even if it meant throwing his family under the bus for political gain. françois arnaud deeply loves and cares for cesare borgia, and if he can recognize that his character is vicious and his portrayal is inspired by machiavelli's 'the prince' and embrace it, why can't people enjoy analyzing it? i have always been drawn to dark media and i'm totally not interested in watching a show with perfect people doing nice things, instead, i'm tuning in for our pretty megalomaniac princely main guy with leather and divine curls committing all the atrocities <3

#me following somebody and immedietly forgetting their existence since they dont really post under whatever tags that currently interest me #before i made a tumblr account waaay back i would just go to spesific blogs i found pretty to check what they post for a long time #mostly fashion/aesthetic stuff at the time #i still go to spesific blogs sometimes like its a website to check on something spesific (but i dont follow them? idk why lol)#i guess i was a blog reader and a frequent (fandom) forum visiter/poster before i found tumblr and it happened to somewhat allign with thos #habits. yall are still blogs to me not accounts ^^#i used have two separete tumblr accounts one for more art stuff/traditional paintings one for just fandom things (zayn hehe)#i think thats why i dont scroll much anymore because when i want to see something here i just want to see that. not varied other stuff #i would curate my basic art blog on my account on laptop and just scroll on my empthy fan account on my phone to check up on things #i always say this one good thing about twitter is being able to have seperate timelines/following list/likes for your different accounts #that you can switch easily from your current device!!! let me curate my timeline more goddamit lol
