How would look cultists (Old faith) Look in your Cotl band au? And bishops? And how they Role change?
I NEED ANSWERS
Tumblr media
Heres their full ref sheet!
Ive made a bunch of doodles and art (under the #cotl band au tag) but i'll be planning to make more art of them! Theyre very dear to me..
I'll write some stuff down here about the characters
Keep in mind this au is not related to scott pilgrim 馃槶馃槶 just cus i drew lamb in that poster doesnt correlate to the show pls thank you!!
So since its a modern au, Some stuff might not be similar to the original lore in the game such as the bishops injury and what not lol
-
Shamura - multi purpose
They learned to play a lot of instruments at a very young age, and passed their talent to their siblings. Shamura thought of teaching them only as a hobby, not fully knowing well that they'd form a band.
Shamura couldn't finish their education because they needed to be the one providing for their younger siblings. They work as a tailor.
But despite it all Shamura is still very wise and smart.
Shamura is 31.
-
Kallamar - keyboard and backup
kallamar's voice has always been my favourite because of how soft and melodic it sounded in the game. So not only is he a keyboardist, but also a backing vocalist too.
He's in a polyamorous marriage. Two wives and 1 husband. (Kallamar also has a son.)
And because of his family, kallamar couldn't attend in majority of their band practices
He's hard of hearing. Knows sign language.
Kallamar is 27.
-
Heket - bass
Heket can speak, but prefers to appear mute to the audience.
She speaks using sign language. Everyone in the band knows sign lanuage.
Heket is currently in college learning mechanical engineering.
She's bisexual. And currently dating someone. (Not revealing who just yet)
Sozo and Heket are very good friends. Enjoying tea time together and talking a lot of things. Mostly about mushrooms and family.
She's 22.
-
Leshy - drummer
Leshy and yellow cat (named Fian in this au) are dorm roommates and best friends. Some believe they are more than friends.
All his chaotic energy and anger goes to banging on those drums. Shamura thought it was meant to be.
Leshy studies biology. People didnt believe him when he revealed he's one of the top students in his college.
He has a really good memory. Memorized the drums layout immediately after losing his vision.
Hes 20.
-
Narinder - lead guitarist
Dropped out of college to focus on the band. Bad decision really.
Aym and Baal were the only nerdy fans to get close and have a sweet relationship with nari. Like he's their uncle.
Narinder and Lamb used to date when they were 20. They broke up because of miscommunication (and many more reasons). they are in good terms 3 years later.
Lamb had moved on from their relationship, but nari hasnt.
-
Lamb - Lead singer
Lamb can do a death metal scream, dont let that innocent look fool you.
They were recruited in the band by narinder and became the leader.
Ratau adopted Lamb
Lamb's songs are somewhat religious and has a cult vibe. But sometimes they focus about relationships and struggles.
Lamb and Goat are really great best friends. Maybe even more than best friends.

馃挍Alokit, my golden boy馃挍
A while back I made some paper bust doodles, which I have currently all stored on my OneDrive for later drawings! I might start a second little series of daily activity busts of my Allmentaly OCs. Seeing how I wanna show more simple or daily life activities of my main WIP, this might be a good start of it. Helps you get a glimpse of what daily life in Draja looks like and helps me get more art of my beans (I wanna get as many own-made art for them as possible, cause I love drawing them :3).
What do you think? Is that a good idea? Once everyone from my Main WIP got one, I'll continue with my WOF AU OCs! These fellas have some neat stuff going on as well.
And now to this post's topic (since I don't really have much lore to drop, besides Alokit being a tea drinker): Art goals for the rest of this year!
As I mentioned a while back, I wanna continue Christmas in Draja! Seeing that I haven't made any progress for it in one year is both sad and motivating at the same time! I'll probably start the next sketch wave for it in December. Who knows, maybe I manage to finish both parts this year's XD Second things I wanna finish this year are the YCHs, my owed art (very specifically the two scenes!) and part 1 of my secret project. Let's see if I'll finish all these in my set time period (I doubt it tbh, seeing how slow I tend to be, but I'll stay positive for now :3)
So, what about your art goals for the remaining 1 and a half months?

First of all, how did I not realize it was you TreeofWords!! Welcome to Tumblr. Glad to have you here finally! :D
40 Fic Writer Ask:
How many fic ideas are you nurturing right now? Care to share one of them?
Do you write your story from start to finish, or do you write the scenes out of order?
If you could write the sequel (or prequel) to any fic out there聽not聽written by yourself, which would you choose?
Would you ever kill off a canon character?
Hello! I am here. You all have lured me to Tumblr like a stray cat with treats. Thank you for the asks!
How many fic ideas are you nurturing right now? Care to share one of them?
I have about 3 that are actual ideas instead of cloudy blobs of inspiration. The first is a short Kasjory and Gorrik/Taimi thing that I want to drop on Valentine's Day and that I'm actually drawing an art piece to go with! I want to make an Aurene fic that involves her talking to and coming to terms with her extended dragon family through her magic, but I'm waiting for the Soo-Won legendary set to drop so I can get a better feel for her character. And finally, I have ideas for a sort of sequel to Left Behind set in Season 4 and following Kas and Jory's travels through the desert: one part action road trip, one part relationship drama.
Do you write your story from start to finish, or do you write the scenes out of order?
I usually write start to finish so I can use the cool parts I want to write later in the fic as motivation to slog through the boring parts. For longer stuff, it's also helpful for me to have the earlier parts set in stone so I can build off them later. Very occasionally, I have written down a later scene that was just crystal-clear in my head and that I was afraid I would forget later.
If you could write the sequel (or prequel) to any fic out there聽not聽written by yourself, which would you choose?
This is hard for me because usually I don't want to write someone else's fic - I want them to write more of their fic! A large part of why like a particular writer is their technical style, and I feel like I can't really replicate that (not that it's impossible to copy someone's style, it's just hard and I don't really like doing it). If I had to choose, there is this great Miyani and Zommoros fic by Arutyh called First Winter in Lion's Arch, which has some interesting djinn lore in it. I would write a sequel or prequel to that (maybe how the two of them met?) just so I could use the lore.
Would you ever kill off a canon character?
Sure, though I'd make sure I specified it as an AU and tagged appropriately and all that. I have Procreate doodles of Marjory as an Awakened simply because I got bored and thought it might look cool (sorry Jory).

this is something that held me back posting stuff for YEARS, and yet interestingly the second I started actually going into lore, plot, character dynamics etc, I actually got reception for my work. if you barely post about something, only to drop the finished project a couple years later, without some knowledge into marketing or advertising chances are it'll flop. you need to build that interest and reel the audience in, and I'm not sure if this is a common opinion, but if I'm following a project I'm interested in but i already know the plot beats for from doodles or concept work, that actually gives me much more incentive to follow the final thing along, because saying "the protagonist does this in order to defeat the villain who is actually his father!" and then seeing how those events play out and what came before it in the final project are two different things - and equally as exciting!
it's also more fun and interesting to be able to post stuff instead of thinking "but I want to keep it mysterious :(". over analysing whether a doodle or short writing piece or test animation or anything will reveal too much information might make it a negative thing to work on. ultimately posting work as you go will be more successful and interesting in the long run because there WILL be people who will experience the final project for the first time - who will then be thrilled to find out there is plenty of prior concept and draft work leading up to it!
it's always different for us smaller artists to try and throw out projects out there than an established author. if you hit it big, then it would make sense to keep it more secretive for the big reveal. until you have a big enough audience, have fun just saying what happens as there'll always be people wanting to know more and see how it comes together!
