Haha sequel to this :) wip nowhere near finished but eyy. how do you tell your siblings who you've only over the last decade or two begun mending your relationship with that you and y'all's baby brother are hearing the song that means you have to leave forever haha

They might not know what's going on but the other three know something is up.... also yes in this story I'm creating here the Bishops all live together (Narinder accidentally started living with them a while after they began to repair their relationship)

In this au Lamb is distant with the Bishops (Bishops includes Narinder ftr), as they haven't let go of the "murdered my entire species and me, used me and betrayed me" thing, but they still favor the Bishops bc they're the only people in the entire world who understand the position they're in now (aka godhood). They are cordial towards the Bishops but don't spend much personal time with them, but they show their favor in having a pretty large house (compared to other families in the cult) with its own kitchen and everything, a luxury most in the cult don't have, and individual bedrooms built for them.

The Bishops spend most of their freetime together, though Narinder (and Leshy, to a lesser degree) do try to engage with the Lamb after coming to terms with their new lives but before realizing the Lamb isn't ready to socialize with them. They know they will one day, when they grow tired of being an immortal among mortals (in this world all the Bishops are immortal, not just Narinder). Unfortunately that day doesn't get a chance to come.

After Narinder explains to Leshy just what the song is, and what it means, it only takes a few days for them to realize it won't be ignored, and after a talk with their siblings who, for some reason, are still unable to hear it, they decide to take their final pilgrimage.

Lamb comes back from a crusade to find two of the Bishops gone, and when the Yellow Cat confesses that Leshy told them that he and Narinder had to leave... well. This does not please them. They and the Bishops (and the Yellow Cat) have quite an adventure ahead of them... seeing as none of them know where this glass shore the song speaks of is.

How tragic, getting to know people only when it's too late...

Some chapters I write in a linear fashion, and some I write very patchwork as the interactions and actions come to me out of order. While I've been doing pretty well at writing MMCK in a linear style, the fifth chapter's segments are all over the place, and I'll need to stitch them together as the main pieces develop. This isn't a bad thing — Regards was a very patchwork book in its writing order and it's my favourite so far I've written — but I'm more out of practice than I was back then. I haven't really, honestly committed to anything like this since I ended that unreleased project in mid-November.
