2024 Villainās Festival: Jude Jazza Bonus Story Part 2 ā
Fan translation only. Not 100% accurate. Please expect grammatical errors. Cybird owns everything. Feel free to re-blog, but please do NOT post my translations elsewhere. *I don't know what happened today, but I was exhausted and for some reason, part 2 was extremely difficult to translate. I had to edit the entire thing three times, so I apologize if the translation isn't as smooth as it could be. But I hope you still enjoy our sadistic fairy in part 2 ā„ļø
In the meantime, Jude and I decided to have breakfast, so we visited a nearby park.
I sit down on the grass with a good view and take a bite of the bread that was just handed to me.
Kate: Mmā¦.delicious!
Kate: The bread served at Crown Castle is good, but I like the buttery flavor of the bread here!
Jude: Well, good for ya.
Kate: By the way, Jude, you know a lot about the bread I like, donāt you?
Jude: It's a basic part of business to learn people's tastes and preferences. Ya were just in my head because ya were being so loud.
Jude: Instead, there's no hope for ya, I'll take ya around on my own today.
(Jude is willing to spend time with me, even if it's for money.)
Jude would be able to forcefully take the necklace from me.
But instead of doing that, he is following the rules and trying to steal my heart.
(Jude is a man who keeps his promises, no matter what they are.)
Kate: Jude, I'm going to make someĀ Ā conditions for you to take my heart.
Jude: Conditions? You're so high and mighty, tellinā people what to do. Since when did ya become such a big woman?
Kate: Because the heart is invisible, so I think it's better to have some kind of clear goal.
Jude: Tell me.
Kate: Food that I will never forget, food that Iāll truly enjoy, and will want to continue to eat.Ā
Jude: Find thisā¦ā¦.
Jude: Thatās too many conditions.
Kate: Because with fewer requirements, you would find them too quickly Jude.
Jude: Tchā¦..Letās go.
From then until sunset, Jude took me around to various shops.
Jude: Oiā¦. You've got to stop this. Why canāt I pass the review?
Kate: Jude, It's true that the food at the restaurant you introduced me to is delicious, right?
Kate: However, if you ask me if I would go there myself, I would say...
The shop Jude introduced me to has slightly higher prices than the shops I usually go to.
Of course, the taste is guaranteed to be worth the price, but it's difficult to buy it myself so often.
(However, since he spent so much time introducing various things, I guess it would be better to let him pass the review...)
(It's already late and I'm getting full from eating so much...)
Kate: Jude, thank you for your time today.
Kate: Well, as a thank you for keeping me company all day, I'd like to give you the necklace... ....
Jude: Thatās different from the first condition. There's no point in acceptinā it like that.
Surprisingly, Jude did not accept my necklace.
Jude is very rule-abiding and disciplined.
(But I'd like to give something backā¦..)
(ā¦.thatās it.)
Kate: Jude, we've been walking a lot, so why not have something cold to eat at the end? My treat.Ā
I told Jude to wait for me and bought some ice cream from the street corner.
Kate: It's much cheaper than the food that you introduced me to today Jude, but...
I handed one to Jude, who accepted it without a word.
Kate: Hmā¦delicious! After a long day of walking, something cold and sweet hits the spot.Ā
Jude: Well, that's about right.
When I was looked at Jude from the side, our gazes collided with each other.
Jude: Isn't it bad manners to stare at other people eatinā?
Kate: Because I was so happy to see your āitās delicious faceā that I just couldn't resist, Jude.
Kate: It's cheap and easy to buy, so you can eat it like this over and over again.
Kate: Next time I eat it, I will surely remember today!
Jude: You're such a long-winded princess, aren'tcha?
Kate: What?
Jude: The conditions have been met.
I didn't mean to say much, but Jude chuckled.
Jude: Food that youāll never forget, food that youāll truly enjoy, and will want to continue to eat.
Jude: I've met all three. I wasn't told it was my job to find them.
Kate: Hahaā¦
Jude: There's nothinā to laugh at.
Kate: When we first met today, Jude had changed the way he spoke, and I felt very uncomfortable.
Kate: Justā¦.I'm so relieved to see that you're your usual self Jude.
Victor declared, "The supreme evil that steals her heart will be the winner.ā
The title of the greatest evil is worthy of the current Jude, who never gave up on winning until the very end.
Kate: Please. It's the necklace I promised you.
Jude: Hah....... I can't believe it took me this long to get here, I didn't attack this right the first time.
Jude: Ya weren't satisfied with the kind young man you see in romance novels.
Jude: You'll be happy if I torture ya like I always do, wonātcha?
Kate: Thatās an improper expression!
Jude: There's no such thing as an improper expression, is there Princess?
Kate: Itās differā¦.
I hastily swallow the denial that almost leaves my mouth.
(Because if I deny Jude's words now.ā¦.)
(ā¦ā¦I was satisfied, not because I like to be tortured)
(I liked Jude as he was, not as a nice young man.)
Jude: I knew it.
Mr. Jude throws a ridiculing look at me as I remain silent.
I gave my heart to an arrogant fairy who shot me with his gaze.

Casual reminder that to know the true amount of reviews an author get on ao3 you need to !
Divide the number of comments by the number of chapters (ex : 24 reviews for a 8/8 chapters story is 3 reviews)
Divide that number by 2 for the author's answers (so 1-2 reviews by chapters)
Big numbers are often just inflated, in particular for big stories ! There are never too much comments
(I know you know as a writer but your public is the more susceptible to care about leaving reviews. Also, would anyone be interested about a guide on how to write a review bc I know it's something people get stuck on)
Hi!
There's a few things I want to talk about in this ask, and I realize that you absolutely mean well, but trying to do breakdowns of comments or even kudos vs hits or anything like that is kind of... against the spirit of fanfiction? I think that's the best way to phrase it.
Comments don't get divided up evenly between chapters. Not necessarily. As a story picks up momentum, more people discover it and comment. Sometimes an author will drop all three chapters at once and people will only comment on the last one, etc. Some authors don't respond to comments, or are perpetually behind on them, so diving by two doesn't really work there. There's many reasons this doesn't shake out entirely.
But, moreover, I really want to encourage readers (and nonwriters I guess, more accurately) to realize that it doesn't matter how many comments a fic does or doesn't have. If you liked it and you feel led, then you should leave a comment. Obviously it's not necessary (and there are days where I'm brain-dead and I don't have the mental capacity), but comments on a fic are better than gold to writers.
There's not a magic number that means you have to leave a comment, or on the flip side, this fic has *enough* comments so I don't need to leave one. The spirit of fanfiction is that it's a fan service someone takes time to craft to share with the fandom, and you can encourage them to do it more by writing some nice words about their story.
Imagine spending hours and hours of your time working on something, thinking about it in the shower, talking to your friends about how to make it better, researching things online to make it better, editing down words, and when you go to share that--silence.
Comments are the lifeblood of fanfiction writers, it's how we know we're doing something that people like. Fanfiction is what keeps fandoms going when the source material dries up or goes on hiatus.
It's so so important to let writers know you like what they're putting out, or one day they might just stop. There is a point when we as writers get little to no feedback and start thinking, "What's the point? No one is reading this anyway." (This happened to me in the Dan and Phil fandom years ago). Now, I have a healthy view of my stories and I write for myself and my close friends (which is why i have such batty stories), but if my close friends didn't even want to read what I was writing, I'd just stop.
I've been very very blessed with a comment section in my time here in the DNF fandom. I've made friends through my comments, including a new IRL friend -- hi @czargasm.
Sorry, I'm not trying to be so preachy or single you out or anything. I think a comment guide would be really really lovely and something that could help a lot of people who would be willing to leave more comments if they had an idea of what to say.
As a writer, my favorite kind of comments to get are 1) in depth analysis, but of course that's a lot so, equally loved are 2) the "i was doing X thing when I saw you dropped a chapter so I ran here" and 3) "I made myself a treat to read this update" comment - extra points if you tell me what the treat was 4) A line you particularly liked or a story it reminds you of, etc.
Thank you for giving me a vehicle to apparently preach about comments. I guess I had a lot to say. Oops.
From the bottom of my heart, writers love comments. Nothing will make us write faster or better than knowing people are into out stories.

DOYOUNG ALBUM THOUGHTS
ok welcome to my album review rant today we're reviewing doyoung's album. it's a quite lengthy album too. tbh surprised at the amount of songs i actually enjoyed because ballards are usually a hit or miss for me, because i don't like hearing just straight vocals.
(im a doyoung stan i must stream yknow)
not going to review every song on the album bc i tuned out some of them... š
little light
upon first listen, i lowkey almost tuned it out, i'm sorry... but second time listening to it, since it is the title track, i'm paying more attention to it. the song is very j-pop coded?? in my opinion, the ballad-rock kinda vibe does fit doyoung and this was what i expected, but a teeny tiny part of me was hoping for a little bit more sm core style of music, with the experimental stuff, but this works too. havent watched the mv yet but i'll check it out soon, maybe look up the lyrics translation, cause songs have more meaning when you understand the lyrics too.
from little wave
tell me why it's giving mario kart... imagine listening to this while driving on rainbow road damn. no but this is such a car cruising driving song, and i pretty much liked it immediately upon first listen. the chorus is SO GOOD??? like doyoungs vocals shine on the whole album cause he's that talented but this one really demonstrates it i think. you can disagree with me lmfao idc. it's kinda giving 80s love ballad, and that's such a beautiful vibe of music i really like it a lot...
time machine
lowkey was a surprise to see mark and taeyeon featured on the album, but i actually really like this one. the vocals hard carried obviously, but mark + doyoung combo really hits hard lowkey they should do more stuff like this together. i'm a sucker for male-female vocal duets, so this one was so cute and sweet. i know why mark considers himself an "ARTIST" not a rapper lmfao. (also im waiting for mark's solo album...... SM PLEASE)
lost in california
THIS IS THE SONG I WILL BE REPLAYING OVER AND OVER THIS MONTH I THINK. hello it's so good why wasn't this the title track? it reminds me of "i don't think that i like her anymore" by charlie puth and that song hits hard. also the vibes are immaculate. seems way more sm core than ballad so obviously i prefer this lmfao... love the little harpsicord instrumental too that was so neat. sm pick ur title tracks better thanks.
rest
i got more appreciative of the song after the chorus came on, but it gives like jpop vibes?? jpop really has that hard metal/rock aspect, and this album has quite a few songs like that. all in all, this wasn't really a favorite favorite, but it definitely stood out to me because it wasn't a ballad lmfaooo. didn't add this one to my playlist but i do think it's pretty good.
dallas love field
this is so country coded guys...... and guess who actually listens to country? me anyways neat cause it's called dallas love field... but regardless i quite enjoyed this a lot, and seeing the country core vibes radiate off of this... like damn im gonna make doyoung cowboy edits soon just watch. (for legal reasons thats a joke im a doyoung stan don't come for me) the only weird part is the bridge, with all the voices chiming in, but other than that i like the phillips phillips vibes that remind me of my 2010s era.

i mean this in the nicest way possible because i truly love you, but i wish writers in general wouldnt try to force reader engagement. i often reply with feedback, but at the end of the day, you should be writing because you want to, not because you want validation. i dont know if its just me who feels this way, but when writers constantly mention needing feedback or they wont write/will stop writing a popular series, it feels like a threat. i dont want reading to feel like a chore, where i need to constantly be validating my favorites so they dont get taken away from me. i love you and your writing and i wish my likes were enough. sometimes i, as a reader, dont feel like engaging/leaving notes. sometimes i just want to read and move forward. i feel like many writers have turned appreciative comments from readers into an obligation.
again in no way is this meant to be hateful towards you, i feel like this can apply to many of my favs. i just needed to get it off my chest and hopefully assure you that we like your writing, even if there's less engagement. if you disagree with any of my points, please tell me/ask me to clarify. i dont want to hurt your feelings and i would love to hear from the writer's side!
hiii! no worries, thank you so much for being respectful and wanting to hear my opinion, as well. i know some people let these things out in the rudest manner possible, so i appreciate that <3
so, the reason i haven't been writing atm is because i lack the time and energy to write :') this year has been crazyyyy busy, so i just don't get to it anymore āĀ and since i've been away/less present for a while, i guess i also drifted away from tumblr, too, and then felt like people might've forgotten about taegularities, and then i wasn't sure if the effort would still be worth it (i get insecure at times, but that's a me-problem). now, the reason i (and many other writers) have this worry is bc writing requires an insane amount of energy and brainpower ā when i tell you that so many of us actually slave over just a scene or even a paragraph for ages š (example: the last cmi update was far shorter than what i usually drop, but it took me days to just edit one scene). we ache to write all the time, but life also gets in our way ā i barely get time to sit down and work on my fics these daysā¦Ā so when i do get time, i want to put it out there into the world and then see the reactions, tooā¦Ā i write for myself, ofc, but for you guys, too, so i can share that joy; or else i'd keep the fics in my docs, right?
and in that sense, when we write something in the rare free time that we get and that we hope others will love just as much as we do, we do seek some sense of validation, even if that sounds odd. it's like āĀ imagine you studied for a test for like 2 weeks, but then don't get the results you hoped for (which might be a weird example, but effort-wise, it's similar, even if fics don't affect writers' lives in that sense). i know there are many who just write and don't care for feedback (even tho i've seen even those who say this be sad about reader engagement which ā very valid), but i think that most who expose their soul and heart like this, do want to see people enjoying it/speaking about it/hyping it up. every creator, be it in the movie, music or art industry, loves to see reactions! and think about it ā most writers get so genuinely excited when someone sends an ask that doesn't say more than "i loved this so much!! you're such a good writer!!" which is insane?! like, i know that i do āĀ i get so happy and remember these comments 5ever, and it's a 2 sentence review as opposed to thousands of words. the effort here is unbalanced, but we still love it so much. and you don't need to write an essay, you never never do!! i swear, it's always enough to even get a few words or sentences <3 which, in the end, isn't a lot to ask for, you know?
i'm not saying i will stop writing my series. i would stop if it got 0 reactions OR if my life stood in its way too much; i'll keep loving what i write and write out of joy, no doubt. and tbh, i don't care about notes either. like, i remember "ruin you" getting way less notes than cmi but GOSH we had so much fun back then bc of the interaction and the craze made me so happy hahaha and yeah that's what it's essentially about ā community. does that make sense? it's tumblr where likes don't make a post circulate ā reblogs do, so yeah, unfortunately, likes are not enough :( i wish they were. i totally get what you mean, though. even feedback shouldn't be an obligation, but if you truly like somebody's work, it never hurts to send a tiny message. it really means the world to us when something we adore and are so proud of ā creating art, sharing our heart, wanting everybody to see this love ā is met with so much joy. and it's fics, you know ā we love love love writing, but it's something that can be read. and we want people to read it and we're legit sitting there like "š and?? aaaand?" lol it's so nice to know when someone truly appreciates somethingā¦ ofc you don't have to comment on my stuff, but i promise feedback makes a difference. it's why so many do leave :/ i hope that made sense!! once again, thank you for being respectful!! i love you, too, and am truly grateful that you're here and enjoying my stuff!! <3
#oof that got so lonkgdjkdajg#pls no one hate on this tho it's just my opinion!! i know everyone handles fic-writing differently#notes for rid š¹#anon

update on Review of the Killer print versions
Hello everyone who has followed me after my zine release. Thank you! You can expect other (hopefully) cool things from me about many things both niche and big, so look forward to that.
But about some things I'll be releasing probably tonight:
So what many of you might not know is that I finished playing Anthology of the killer, fell in love with it, and realized I needed to write something about it- esp when I discovered the bonus zine tucked away in the files. I realized that the steam release was in 14 days, and so i tried to do something I never do: finish something on a short deadline. This meant my life sort of became this zine outside of work (and inside of work. wouldn't it be cool if slime cooper ever stole time from work?? what am I saying), but even with dedication you end up running into time slipping away and things getting cut. 24 pages gets cut to 20 (which I will discuss in detail in the bonus features coming out in a few days) but the biggest thing to get shafted was the quality of the print versions. So let's really talk about this: I don't know jack shit about printing, in the way nobody knows jack shit about anything until they do it a bunch. So yes- those bleed versions are -bit- worthless since they will always provide no actual bleed on one side. Those black and white versions will look, well, strange. because they unfortunately use a lot of red, which will look very dark in greyscale. I also use a lot of flats because it looks nice in color, but in grey you really need images to have a lot more space (except for the black zones. Tbh I love wasting ink on a big blob of ink for contrast sometimes. I do it IRL all the time with my actual ink). In addition, it turns out printer settings that have booklet modes will force margins on the interior page side as well. It means I need to make versions of the pages that are pre formatted to print booklet mode, rather than relying on you to have a printer that does the hardwork for you. I was simply running out of time, and needed to get *something* out that could be printed.
Also it turns out if you don't bundle everything in a zip file, nobody downloads the readme. There was useful stuff in there!!! But I understand. I know why you wouldn't read it. I'm just shaking my head over here because i literally declare my love for you (yes you, reading this) in the readme. SMH, once again. So here is what i'm doing tonight:
extending the border trim of all pages so that way the master bleed version will ACTUALLY have room for bleed (1/8th of an inch around) for both formats.
Make new print versions that ALSO have the bleed room left in for Letterhead and A4, in case you felt like getting these professionally printed. I do all my stuff homegrown, so this truly is for in case you wanted to sell these. Which you totally can!! But I say that because I'm picturing someone actually thinking the thought "i'm going to print this zine read by about 150 people and print it for mega profit, and ill do this by spending 500 dollars at a print shop" and my brain instead pictures a dog dressed in a really cute clown outfit instead, because seriously who is that? Just print some printer copies and give them to some bookstores. Keep the money they give u so you can make the money on material back, and maybe buy some more cool artist's stuff.
Looking at all my pages and adjusting them by hand to be more economic for black and white printers in new separate Greyscale editions. This will include adjusting some colors manually, as well as doing that cool dot thing that printers do (well, i guess all printers do this just really finely) to save on ink. Plus the texture will look better on crazy cool looking paper. Seriously go visit a paper store. They make all sorts of nuts stuff. Read the manual for your home printer too- it can take a lot more punishment than you realize.
Correcting some egregious spelling mistakes. I am sorry. Lmfao. grant me this one indulgence since I literally gave everyone a free pass to distribute it.
Zip up all the print versions together in organized folders, along with and updated readme, including new instructions for all the versions as well as how to print these if you have a printer that doesn't do double sided printing. I glibly said "just go to library" in the original readme, but seriously. I had no clue how to do anything as a baby child and so i have deep sympathies for anyone in the exact position I was (not knowing anything+not having anything).
The in browser version might get updated as well. I'm not honestly sure tho... part of me is super against editing. but man those grammar errors on the paper doll pages are bad... lol anyways have fun with these. If you print them/ give them out you do not have to give me money- although i like money. well, i like not not having money, if that makes sense. but im already not not not having money, so thats why i'm fine with you all selling it- I'm not a starving artist, and I would rather u all get some of that not not not having money in your life so you can spread it around to artists who are! And if you print them, please show me pictures, esp if they go on a shelf or in a library somewhere. I love seeing things out and about. And once again, thank you for reading and sharing this online. This has crossed the threshold for everything else I've ever published as far as confirmed reads, and i've received a lot of kind words from a lot of kind folks about things I've personally agonized about trying to get right. Its validating. Its nice.
okay kids, you can go back to playing. thank you for listening to this old skeleton tell you some things about paper.

Hiiš his name is Atlas, I scripted him in my hogwarts Dr, my name there is stella <3
thank you!
Hi Stella!
Atlasās message to you:
Lyrics standing out:
āYouāre like perfection
Letās try to run away
Iām gonna make you mine
Youāve got me tongue tied
Every day itās the same
All the games that you play
Kinda like it this way
Move to the beat
All eyes on youā
So immediately, Atlas is saying he is captivated by you. He loves how you can light up a room without even trying. The little things you do mean a lot to him and heās honestly loving the little back and forth game you guys are playing. Honestly, though, he feels a little jealous. He doesnāt like to share and he feels protective over you. Someone in your DR is not treating you the best and he sees that. He doesnāt want that person to affect you and your light. He loves you and he needs you to realize what it is you do to him.
Lyrics standing out:
āThese bums is lagging
Iām starting to feel like a dungeon dragon
I know itās tough but enough is enough
Sweet as pie
Old ass pampers
Shoulda sent a thank you note
Wash your mouth out with soap boysā
This is really piggybacking off of the last song. Heās seeing someone treat you poorly and even causing you to think poorly of yourself. He doesnāt like this one bit. Iām feeling like this person may be an older mentor or a father figure. I know this is for your Hogwarts DR and I donāt know much about hogwarts, but I just heard the name Snape and I know thatās a character in it so let me know if that means anything. It seems like whoever this person is, they hurt you so much, it almost got to the point of you wanting to leave hogwarts. This pisses atlas off and he wants you to know heās willing to fight and stand up for you. He says āyou dont deserve thisā.
Lyrics standing out:
āTrust issues
Saying I donāt miss you
Getting older
See me as a kid on your shoulders
Youāve been my missing piece
Itās just anatomy
(I see you all dancing in a ballroom, maybe after you were really upset but he cheers you up)
Guess I meant less than I thoughtā
I didnāt know weather to include this or not, at first I thought it might have been a mistake, but as Iām doing this reading, I feel like this song represents you allowing yourself to open up to Atlas about your struggles with whatever mentor or just pressure your under and feeling like you donāt belong. Atlas says you always belong with him.
Lyrics standing out:
āWe got here the hard way
Iāll never take back the things I said
My Atlantis
If I knew that I could reach youā
The first thing I heard him say as I was listening to the song was, āI believe in us, and youā. I know this song seems like your relationship is going down the drain, but itās actually the opposite. Whatever it is that is causing you pressure right now and to pull away from Atlas in your DR is actually going to strengthen your relationship and heās reassuring you of that. He guarantees it. Heās saying āweāll be alright. Give us a chance.ā He was loving your allās back and forth at first, but now heās frustrated with it when you all clearly have something deeper. Heās ready for you to tell him what you want so he can be that for you. Heās saying ālet me inā. āDonāt leave when you donāt have toā, is what I heard. When he says he loves you, he means it. Iām seeing the picture of you and him in the ballroom again and now youāve snuck out, and having a serious conversation about this. Heās ready to commit but needs you to stop being scared.
The last thing I heard him say was ācome here/home and kiss meā
I really really hope this helped and resonated. Please take what did and if something didnāt, leave it to the wind. Please leave a review, I would greatly appreciate it, my love. Happy shifting!!!

9 people I'd like to know better tag
Thanks for the tag @moondust-bard!
current book: I'm about to start reading White Oaks by Jordan King for my indie author interviews/book reviews on my blog, and listening to The Weaver and the Witch Queen by Genevieve Gornichec because I have a road trip to a work conference tomorrow and so I'm going to put that on in the car.
Current fic: I'm not actively reading or writing anything right now, but I have an old friend in the Newsies fandom who's continuing to put out chapters of a 300K+ fic that I love called Something Worth Winning and so I've been meaning to catch up on that. PJean over on ff.net and I think she's got an AO3 now? It's been a while...
Currently watching: Twelve's run in Doctor Who and the Clone wars in rotation.
Next on my watchlist: I'm about the start the new Fallout show tonight! Eric's been playing through the games recently but we've put off watching the show until my edit was done.
Current hyperfixation: I had Rolling With Difficulty as a hyperfixation until I got buried in Runaways writing, so I lost interest for a little bit while I shifted focus onto my work, but I'm hoping to get back into it!
Favorite color: Greens of all sorts!
Sweet, spicy, or savory: sweet, I joke I'm basically a hummingbird in human form.
Relationship status: I just got engaged over Easter! I don't talk a lot about him here because he values his privacy, but my fiance, Eric, has been such a wonderful support through all of my writing and publishing endeavors. We're in the middle of wedding planning right now, and if all goes according to plan, we'll get married next summer, which is right in the middle of all the promotion and distribution work for putting out Runaways in October. It's going to be such a busy (and expensive) year, and I was like "I can push the book release out, I guess :I" but he refused to let me do that because he knows how important it is to me and encouraged me to plan a Kickstarter for the spring like an absolute madman. Yesterday I complained that the formatting programming software I like is only available for Macs but fuck apple and he started looking up how to install a virtual machine without a second's hesitation. He's so wonderful and I don't know what I'd do without him.
Last song: The Old Witch Sleep and Good Man Grace by the Amazing Devil
Last thing I googled: Stegosaurus dinosaur
Skill Iād like to learn: oh god so many. Top of the list right now is songwriting. I've got dozens of lyrics cluttering up my notes app and I'm dreadful at turning them into complete songs. Also Animation!
Best advice: Recently, I've seen a lot of people in my life struggling with the 20-something capitalist-hellscape 1st-world-problem flavor of existentialist-depression and look, it gets to me too, but you guy have got to relearn the virtue of gratitude. On one hand, toxic positivity sucks and you're allowed to bitch and moan about your situation, but doomerism feels infectious and there is so much to be thankful for when you stop and take the time to appreciate what you've been given.
I'm turning into my mom.

HAPPY PRIDE MONTH. #PrideMonthSeries
Let me talk about BL content creators today.Ā
We have often discussed about BL Series, the technical aspects of Filmmaking, and perhaps to a fair extent the controversies surrounding the BL industry. But I'm not sure if we have ever discussed about the kind of BL content made by fans from around the world.
I'm sure we have our own liking, depending on the kind of the content that's made, and how it interests us. Be it FMV (Fan Made Videos), Clickbait Videos, Reviews, or anything else,...thanks to every form of Social Media, every content creator has an audience.Ā
Unfortunately,...most of the audience lean more towards "Clickbaity" videos, that are purposely made to generate more views, rather than focussing on the content. I can take examples of various channels that would purposely make videos on either controversies about the BL actors, or their sexuality. And strangely,...fans too watch these kind of content, and give views to videos that isn't going to be helpful to the BL community in way possible,...but makes the content creator rich for sure.Ā
Not sure how many content creators take these things seriously,...but they can be sued for damaging the reputation of actors if ever the videos comes into their notice. And with Mew and Build's case,...it's been made pretty evident that actors do take things seriously, and can initiate legal actions against toxic fans, who instigate hatred for their own personal benefit or gratification.
So,...my questions to you are as follows:
What kind of BL videos you prefer to watch that's made by a content creator?
What is your view on those channels, the sole purpose of which is to only make "clickbait" videos (no matter the content), and generate money through views?
What percentage of BL content creators do you think are serious about the kind of content they make, and how it influences the minds of the audience?
Do you like the usual "Robotic Voice" used by many, or would you prefer a natural voice of a "Voice Over Artist"?
What do you expect from a BL channel that makes BL content?
Which BL channels would you recommend to your followers through this question? And why?
If you are given an option to suggest something to a BL content creator, what would your suggestion be, based on your viewing experience?
As a BL fan,...do you like watching short-form vertical videos or long-form horizontal videos
And,...what kind of topic intrigues you as an audience, that you really want a BL content creator to make a video on?
Thanks!
xoxo
Arjuna
Honest answer? I don't watch any BL content creation that isn't by the studio. I don't. I really, really don't. And I am absolutely not looking at any of the stuff that would clickbaity about the actors because I don't want to know anything about the actors except what they choose to share because that is their life.
What kind of BL videos you prefer to watch that's made by a content creator?
I mean, I guess the closest I get to this are the occasional edited music videos?
What is your view on those channels, the sole purpose of which is to only make "clickbait" videos (no matter the content), and generate money through views?
I mean... that's just what the internet has become. There are people doing that all over for every fandom, every trend, everything. Who am I to judge a part of the web I don't totally understand? People are gonna people and capitalism gonna capitalism.
What percentage of BL content creators do you think are serious about the kind of content they make, and how it influences the minds of the audience?
No clue. None. I have no idea. I don't watch them and I don't know anyone who does watch them so... no idea.
Do you like the usual "Robotic Voice" used by many, or would you prefer a natural voice of a "Voice Over Artist"?
Don't watch, don't know, don't care.
What do you expect from a BL channel that makes BL content?
To not watch it.
Which BL channels would you recommend to your followers through this question? And why?
I think y'all have figured this out by now.
If you are given an option to suggest something to a BL content creator, what would your suggestion be, based on your viewing experience?
Don't ask me for advice.
As a BL fan,ā¦do you like watching short-form vertical videos or long-form horizontal videos
None of the above.
And,ā¦what kind of topic intrigues you as an audience, that you really want a BL content creator to make a video on?
Analysis of the actual media? Even then, I'd rather read it than watch it.
I also absolutely support the actors in this and believe that anyone, content creator, media, or just fan, who makes public assumptions about actors should back the fuck off.
#asked and answered#sort of#i don't go here#i don't plan to go here#i don't watch video essays or care about actors

I am a generally anti-AI person, but in the use of fan translations, especially in the cases of menu systems in RPGs, I am wondering what your stance/what the conversation around using AI tools in fan translations are. Additionally, I'm incredibly hype for Naruto RPG 2!!! And I hope Code Geass progress is going well. I played and beat all that was translated from the old translation. I feel like that's a really special game for Code Geas fans. Thank you for undertaking it! xoxo love mom
Hey, it's been a while!
Well, first I feel that I should preface this by saying that these are just my (Phantom's) thoughts, so may not be representative of the team as a whole. Personally, I've never used generative AI such as ChatGPT for translation, but I have usedĀ machineĀ translators like Google Translate/DeepL, and I think they can be useful tools. They can produce results at great speed, and give ideas about words/synonyms to use. The problem is, I believe, when someone tries to use the raw output with little to no editing.
Machine translators are *usually* more reliable with nouns/short phrases (such as those you'd find in a menu), over sentences and paragraphs, but even then, they can still get confused. To take an example from Code Geass, if a machine translator were to be believed, the game-original charactersĀ Castor and Pollux (named after the mythological figures), would be calledĀ Caster andĀ Parax. As an experiment, I also asked Gemini (Google's AI assistant), which took it one step further, 'correcting' the Japanese input I gave it ćć©ććÆć¹ - parakkusu to ćć©ć©ććÆć¹ - pararakkusu, meaningĀ parallax, which is interesting. Unlike a human translator, AI/machine translators don't know if what you gave them is "correct", and can't pick up on whether information is missing (as can be the case when dumping scripts from a game).
So, I guess my TL;DR is machine and AI translators can be a useful and convenient aid, but they can't and shouldn't be used to replace humans. (Or used as an excuse to pay human translators less for "reviewing" machine translated text, for that matter.)
--
And thank you for your support! We're near the end of our to-do list for Naruto, so the wait is almost over!!
As forĀ Code Geass, there's currently only one translator assigned to it who has been busy as of late so progress is quite slow, but we're always looking for extra help! So, for anyone who is still reading and knows Japanese (or knows someone who knows!) why not consider getting in touch with us? :)

Yall. I'm here again. I may or may not have finished all your fanfics in less than a week whilst my Six of Crows book is collecting dust... You cannot judge me for this. It's a damn good fanfic that I have not been able to stop thinking about. You're really doing gods work. I don't know what my life would be like if Roads that cross didn't exist. It is so cute and my everything. You're a great writer at everything. I usually struggle with fics that have smut in them. Not because I don't like reading about it (The very opposite šš) but because I find it so hard to find something that speaks to me. When I do (like now) it is my everything. I think a big part of the problem is I feel a lot of authors just copy and paste the same smut scenes across however many chapters. Roads that cross, how do I say this kept everything delightfully fun, fresh and interesting ššš. Chefs kiss. Also I doubt I would ever get bored of these two.
I am so excited for the next chapter already. Keep doing what you're doing. This fic is so much more than just one thing, it has everything. Simon and Ambar are literally made for each other and you really have me believing in them, despite having still not seen the show yet.
Also I hope you're having a good day/night/evening/timezone appropriate period. If you ever need anything like prompt or romantic situation ideas, let me know because I have so so many. But respect if not because it's your fic after all!!
Lots of love, Jellie xx
Oh my Jellie Jellie bean, you are so sweet!! I wanna print this and hang it on my bedroom wall <3
(sorry for the nickname, I just think it's cute ksjdnf)
"I may or may not have finished all your fanfics in less than a week whilst my Six of Crows book is collecting dust... You cannot judge me for this." And I do not! I have all the Harry Potter books my parents gifted to me 3 years ago and the whole collection of Sherlock Holmes book that I bought myself because the box was pretty, and you think I've read any of that?? No šš I totally get you, don't worry.
"You're really doing gods work. I don't know what my life would be like if Roads that cross didn't exist." Oh my god, thank you!! kjsdnfls. That's is- wow. So heartwarming. So gratifying. It's the kind of words that keep me going. To be honest, I don't know what my life would be like without RTC either. It's been 5 years and it feels like a lifetime. I can't wait to finish the story so that I can focus on other wips, but I guess Roads will really be THE one even after I'm done with it. (I mean, with that word count? I might as well print it and bind it š)
"a lot of authors just copy and paste the same smut scenes across however many chapters." oh my god, who does that?? You've been reading the wrong fics, what is up with those people?? I always try to make each scene mean something different, explore something different, especially since in Roads they're just starting a relationship which means they're learning each other's bodies, what makes the other tick, they're trying different things just for the fun of it or because as their bond gets deeper they find new ways to express it. I'm so happy you think it's "delightfully fun, fresh and interesting"-- That's all I ever wanted.
(Btw, that sounds like a New York Times review on the backcover of a book and I love that šš)
I gotta admit, I'm not very confident on the quality of this story since I started writing it many years ago and I feel like the first 15 chapters or so don't reflect everything that I've learned since then. I've been working on editing those past chapters when I have the time, but there's still a long way to go, so I'm relieved that you managed to consider it good and engaging even with the... sometimes deplorable narrative choices I made back then sdkjfsn. (I gotta learn to be kinder to myself, I know; tell my perfectionism that.)
"Simon and Ambar are literally made for each other and you really have me believing in them, despite having still not seen the show yet." Oh my god, they really sound made for each other?? That's so sweet. I don't know if I ever thought that about them while watching the show. I mean, of course I believe in their love and I think they could be great together, but made for each other? Wow. It's so interesting that my writing conveyed that, it's very flattering. I'm so happy you've fallen in love with them through my writing š Now I'm scared you'll watch the show and go "Wait, this is how they act around each other?" šš Maybe it'll be very different or maybe they'll give you the same vibe, who knows, only time will tell š
I've read this in the morning but now it's afternoon! š It's taken me a while to type this. Thank you for offering your help š I think I have enough ideas for now (sometimes I fear I have too many as my wips folder gets longer and longer) but if the opportunity ever presents itself I'll let you know!
Eternally grateful, - C

ARC REVIEW: Deja Brew by Celestine Martin
3/5. Releases 10/1/24.
The Vibes: cozy autumn, a bit of celebrity, Groundhog Day
Heat Index: 5/10
The Basics:
Former celebrity chef Sirena (with magic) makes a wish for a "fix my life" do-over. Waking up, she finds that she's gotten itāand it gives her a chance to really get to know Gus, a reality star (with magic) who harbors feelings for her. The question is, will they be able to get it right this time?
The Review:
Okay, first off I want to say that if you love COZY and you love AUTUMN and light witchiness (this has been compared to The Ex Hex, and I can see why), this will probably be for you. I love autumn, and I enjoy light witchiness. Where it kinda lost me was the cozy. Obviously, I expected some cozy based on the premise. This? Is a lot of cozy.
The good news: This is very on trend and again, a lot of y'all will love it.
Celestine Martin has a real way with words, and I loved the descriptions here. Literally felt like fall leaves in a cup (or a book, I guess). The atmosphere is fabulous, the food descriptions are great, it's FALL FALL FALL.
Where I feel her writing could use some tweaking is in the dialogue. You spend a lot of time in the characters' heads, which felt like a space she approached confidently. It's not that the dialogue was bad. It just wasn't as good as the rest of the prose, and it did read a little young for the characters' ages and experience. (In general, I felt like Gus was a little too cautious about sharing his feelings with Sirena for, again, his age and experience. They're not babes in the woods, and I like that! I'd love to see it reflected more in the writing.)
And... I think where the book inched further away from four stars was in the pacing. If you enjoy a slow burn? You'll probably like this, again. I don't jump for a slow burn, but I can definitely enjoy it if done well. A slow burn does not inherently mean bad pacing. (And a slow-paced book can also be great!)
This is very slowly paced. It felt like, after a certain point, I was reading pure vibes. Which! Again! Will work for a lot of people. Ultimately, I felt like this could've used some chopping in the editing. We don't need all of this. In some ways, this may have worked better as a novella?
The Sex:
I found the descriptions of sex in this book... interesting. Again, this was a slow burn, and I personally didn't feel a ton of sexual tension beforehand (though there was emotional tension). Interesting doesn't mean bad here. But the descriptions are some of the more flowery ones I've read in a book set in a more contemporary world. It read a bit like what I would've seen in older contemporaries, or even older historicals. Again, not bad. Just unexpected, I suppose?
This will be someone's perfect fall novel, and I do love that it's a Black romance with some magic. God knows we need more of that representation in paranormal romance. But, it wasn't quite for me.
Thanks to NetGalley and Forever for providing me with a copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

I just finished reading your meta on the NineRiver audios and honestly at first I was feeling a bit hesitant because of how I got exposed to the naysayers' takes first. But glad I finally felt brave enough to peek under the cut.
I love how you point out that the Doctor is always unsettled with the concept of having a wife in any regeneration because it's not that they hate River (which I've seen was the conclusion of some after listening to the audios š«„), it's that they didn't think they'd ever be in a relationship, much more married of all things.
Also wanna ask if it's possible to have a clarification on the statement "River does not hide her infatuation". Unless it was used with a different meaning to what it usually has. Because by this point, she's past that infatuation stage? (Do we count Mels as the infatuation stage? I think early baby River could maybe count as infatuation stage too?)
Okay and the part where you point out that River barely notices the Doctor's new bodies is such a cool one because I JUST REALIZED IT. You know that thing where you ingest something but it takes you some time before said thing gets processed (usually by someone else pointing it out)? Yes, that's me.
Totally still laughing over Nine being "totally doing that kind of stuff with you, River, sans the guns" and around two regenerations later, he's totally doing that kind of stuff with River with the guns. He learned rather quickly that he has the tendency to give River what she wants lol (also headcanoning that Eleven had fashioned a hidden gun panel in the TARDIS console "just in case you need it River" but of course since we love angst he never was able to show it to her because she'd swanned off to the Library and he kept seeing her data ghost in the corner of his eye) (also could it be that the reason why Eleven is more "okay" sort of with her and her guns is because he understands her trauma and how having her gun around is sort of like her security blanket?)
Oh and Archipelago, my beloved. My heart hurt with Swipe Right, laughed a bit with Face of the Apocalypse, but damn, Archipelago. Damn. It made me bawl for a bit longer afterwards. I just love when Big Finish writers get DoctorRiver.
I'm gonna be dragging my heels a bit here though because although I originally went along with the QPR feels after my first listen (yes I listened to it again *ā \ā 0ā /ā *), then a moot on Twitter pointed out that Nine and River had definitely fucked in the middle of the time storm. And I was like "WAIT WHAT WHEN WHERE" because how? I mean they were covered in corals by that time yeah? And moot said it happened near the end when they were acting "like a couple again" (must be after Nine read River's diary and got to know her, understand her). River described their time together while writing in her diary and mentioned "and then finally we lay together again". I had thought it meant literally lying down together but River being River, it could have meant they had, well, fucked. I don't understand the how of it though XD but they're River and the Doctor so kudos to them I guess?
erm this was quite long sorry for that >ā .ā <
ever questioning, Tia š
Thanks Tia! I liked your Star-Crossed initial review too :) āI also love how this smashes any belief that River forces the Doctor to have sex with her or do anything that the Doctor is uncomfortable with.ā because YES. Yes, yes, yes. Anyway. A cut before I respond to each of these things.
1) Right?? Swipe Right could not have been more direct in repeating that the Doctor was bothered by the idea of marriage/relationships, not by River herself. The way writers give us aroace Nine, and some people can only see their ship war? Ah well.
2) Oh my god I totally misused infatuation ā editing that! How do words work haha. I was thinking along the lines ofā¦ āSomeone you can walk into your life and make you see everything completely differently.ā āHarvey said that to me. Oh, believe me, Captain. The Doctor has already done that to me, multiple times.ā Falling in love with the same person again and againā¦ like older couples who consistently put in the work to go on regular dates, lighting these new sparks with new experiences even after being together for decadesā¦ couples like the Doctor and River. (Oh, my sweet Mels. There is a thin line between infatuation and brainwashing </3 Personally, I would say student River was her infatuation phase ā researching him for positive reasons instead of murderous ones.)
3) River barely noticing the different bodies is so. <3 This corporeal form that is so tied to a human's sense of identity ā yet to River or the Master, itās no different than a particularly-physically-taxing change of clothes. Who hasnāt regenerated a few times? River gets to judge him for insisting on the face of a twelve-year-old. River gets to shoot off his hats. (Eleven radiating his āHow do you do fellow kids?ā energy.)
4) Oh yes, Nine and Ten were so self-righteous about guns. (River was so cute with Ten, too!) Ah, if Eleven had treated UNIT the way Ten had. Rory with his auton wrist-gun. Bad girl Churchill with his revolver. Miscellaneous Americans. I like to think the heart-to-heart over Wilfās gun coinciding perfectly with regeneration helped him get past it; Elevenās no-gun rule seems a lot more āgood men donāt need rules, today is not the day to find out why I have so manyā vibes. He doesnāt trust himself to use guns, but he does trust River ā he believes in her far more than she believes in herself. (That said, YESā I really love the idea of the Doctor being very supportive of young student River having her guns, so that she feels safe. Even if she has PTSD flashbacks/brainwashing relapses and tries to kill him, he couldnāt care less; his only priority is making sure she feels safe and comfy, when she can. I wrote a fic with that as a theme lmao.) (Why you gotta BREAK MY HEART (girl Iām glad you do). Eleven standing alone against the colorless, minimalist console, hands pressed over the secret gun compartment he prepared ā to show her how much she means to him ā paralyzed by grief, torn between the need to be near to her and the need to protect himself from further heartsbreak, listening to River move around the room. Do you think River had her favorite alpha-meson blaster in the Library? He'll never be able to retrieve it. Nardole's not going to know to grab a gun.)
5) Oh, Archipelago. The way it completely gets these two, from the glorious to the dysfunctional, to the root reasons they just work. Secrets call for trust; but trust without the need of secrets becomes something so beautiful. Also, there's something I appreciate about the handling of an aspect that seems to get confused (by those who speculate āit's not love, the timeline forced itā as per that infamous-ish Harbo Wholmes video (okay, it's infamous-ish to doctorriver fans. Harbo has some misses haha); like we need further proof having a wedding isn't the only way to whisper in your loverās ear). Nine's āDon't you wanna see what that's like to be with me, not cause it's preordained or prophesyed, just two people bobbing about taking it slow?ā leading to their sharing secrets no other Doctor and River had shared before. The exploration wherein ā far from their relationship being forced by the timeline ā the temporal constraints of the fixed points of their deaths actually mean they have to work even harder for the relationship to be what it is, yet they create together something cosmically beautiful out of tragedy (āyou know how much I use [the VM] to bind our lives together.ā).
6) Huh, yeah, āAnd finally, we lay together again, in the height of the darkā sounded to me about lying down too! I did get the impression that lying down was the default since the coral infection (at least for River). River does love her innuendos in their verbal dance of wit (aka flirting), but itās her diary, not the Bibleā¦ I think she would be more explicit than that, even if she is aiming for brevity! It wouldn't fit the vibe (in my opinion). As you say, they're barely able to move. And not that aroace people never fuck, but (personally) the idea of that here does leave the unsavory impression that River would've gone with it at the last hour while knowing it's not his thing, with the āwhether you know that or not ā whether you feel that or notā line coming afterwards despite the fact that he certainly āknowsā their future at this point, from front to back to front to back again. (Also āacting like a couple againā is so subjective since QPPs do a lot of things that are typically associated with couples? like the physical intimacy between River and Nine?) Not being aroace myself I will try to speak more generally to avoid speaking over people on a topic I'm not qualified to speak on ā but I think, at least, it would be very disappointing if it meant that ā I know that it means a lot to me (and I become very protective) when I see positively-represented aspects of my own identity that are rarely portrayed in a non-stereotyped light ā and it would indicate at best a major lack of miscommunication between writers after Swipe Right, or worse: if the implication was to uncritically imply his orientation could be altered by the right partnerā¦? Anyway: I still see it as queerplatonic personally, but thanks for pointing out that observation because I wouldn't have thought of that line! (Also, I can't speak for your twitter mutual, who I don't know, etc.)
Anyway, thank you for the ask! š
Love the SMALL CAPS and YOU ARE LEGENDARY for them.
#anyway. god knows I have a lot of headcanons about doctor who. it is late. I am going to go to sleep now.#doctor who canon is just so vast and importantly: contradictory#so there are many valid readings of lotsa things!#to me: I think it makes sense that these things change regeneration to regeneration#likeā every cell in their body changesā and given the different personalities- we know that includes the brainā#[insert nonsequiturs abt 10's thing for blondes and 11's for bad girls aka war criminals] [not that's a 1-on-1 comparison even slightly]#[and I know my readings are not the only valid ones] [okay I'll go to bed why am I always finishing this half asleep]#[I see most doctors vaguely in the demi & bi general vague spheres anyway] [aroace nine tho]#tw acephobia#tw arophobia#maybe. tagging just in case. definitely discussion of it is here#not about your ask- *I* just sorta went on an unqualified tangent abt it#and for this reason. I am leaving it out of the character tags. until probs in weeks or sumn when its older#words by seaweed#thank you for the ask tia!! xo

Not sure why this particular novel sells more than the other books, but it does. Not that I'm selling very many copies, and as you can see, I don't make much of a profit from the royalties. So, I hate to ask for this, because I'm worried people will try to tell me what they think I want to hear, than...well, what I really want to read as far as feedback. As disappointing as it might be to get a less than glowing review, it's better than the nothing I usually get. I get reviews even more rarely than I get a sale! I do read them and come back to review them once in a while.
I do believe that if I get this professionally edited and published, this story could be good enough to be on Netflix. I mean, if they did a live action version of the books He's Expecting Vol. 1&2 by Eri Sakai, I think mine would do just fine. I just have to get past the financial block somehow. I mean I'm broke and so far the price tag for just editing this book is roughly between $600 to $900. And publishing is just over $900. Then I have to sell no less than one thousand copies before a literary agency would even consider proposing my book to Netflix. My chances aren't good. I have the information, but not the financial backing to get it going.
And thanks to the enormous expenses of getting my work out there, I'm going to have to pick one book and likely let the rest fall to the wayside. I have published five books. Three art journals that no one, not even myself gives a shit about (well I do care a little bit) and two novels, Unexpected Cargo and Eden Symbiotic which were both experimental passion projects that I care about very much. Unexpected Cargo's the one I'm going to pick because it sells the most often when I do make a rare sale.
(I did buy both volumes of He's Expecting out of curiosity since I was lucky enough to have access to Netflix for a little while, so I did get to see the series. Not the best stories I've ever read, but nice enough that if Volume 3 ever comes out, I'd get it. The show got a lot of criticism, but I thought it was alright. My main point of complaint was that even with suspension of disbelief, if men were suddenly able to have babies, nature would never go halfway and they would be fully equipped for the job. In the book, men who got pregnant had to have cesarians to give birth. I guess the writer didn't think that particular point though. But I'm a bit of a science nerd, so I pick up on all kinds of random information about nature and biology.)
Anyway, the main point of this article, before I wandered off a bit, was that I want and need more people to give me honest feedback about my novel Unexpected Cargo. I'd love it read them on my Amazon reviews. I only have two there. I got a few in my DeviantART gallery where I treasure what I have. I have a couple on YouTube and at least one here, but I lost it...but not forgotten. Aside from this one comment, "This is shit," in a language I had to have translated and didn't recognize at all, I pay attention to all of them. It's because of the feedback I did get and put great value into, including the constructive criticisms I received that I began to realize that I need the services of a professional editor. So in depth feedback is valuable and the more I can get the better.
I have this hands-off policy for my work until I get some help, even when I have a few of ideas on how to make some small fixes to some small plot points here and there. I want...need someone who knows what they are doing to help me out. So, when I do get that help, I will also be keeping in mind the feedback I get from my readers. I stepped up my pace of Unexpected Cargo because more than one person said that Eden Symbiotic was too slow. I listen. I'm begging for more feedback and I'm always grateful for it when I do get it...even as it often frustrates me because people often leave it at, I like this, but not telling me why they liked it. I find that I value the feedback more than the pitiful profit I get from the rare sale.
So, please! Give me some feedback. I want to know what you think. Writing a book isn't easy and this was one of the more difficult projects I've ever done...the hardest being making an audiobook for Unexpected Cargo. Too bad the end result of that project was not as good as I'd hoped and that's why it only got posted on YouTube instead of being published on Audible as I had originally intended. Though I did hope that it would receive a lot more attention than it does.
Periodically I do look up my own books just to see if they get any reviews. I don't really expect anything, but I look anyway.

my dragons dogma 2 character creator review:
the system in place for face presets is interesting and you can get some pretty solid presets out of it, but it makes making a good face really hard to do on your own.
beastren are very cool, they are exclusively felines though and the ear options are pretty mid. you have to do a lot of tweaking in the nose area to get the face to proper snoot territory but it can actually be done. they are pretty clearly just a human with some fur on them though, 7/10 new faces meshes next time please and thank you.
hair options are wildly lacking and i'm not sure why since i feel like dragons dogma 1 had some pretty solid options in both long hair and short hair categories for both male and female characters. but there are a couple cool options wrt curly hair for black characters, and they actually look good in my opinion which a lot of games absolutely do not have good looking tight curls at all. too bad theres like only three face presets for black characters, hope you're good at sliders.
hair color options are also lacking but that seems to have carried over from dragons dogma 1 wholesale so i cant really say i'm surprised. however in dragons dogma 1 you could kind of make your hair a sort of teal blue, you will have no options for fun colors in this one so close your eyes with me and pray for mods. i went in expecting to be able to give a girl some green hair, did not materialize for me regardless of fiddling.
when i say making a human face look good is hard i do mean it's really hard, be ready to spend 40 minutes playing with sliders to get something that still kind of looks off. my advice, spend a lot of time picking your base head because you will be married to it once detailed edits starts. try to pick one which needs the least amount of fixing.
i think they did that thing where they scan a bunch of real peoples faces in and use those as meshes... i don't love it, but the presets do look like real people which i guess might have good appeal to people less set in the genre like i am, maybe we can get some skyrim bros playing this? i'm guessing this one will do well with souls fans, probably.
the graphics were very impressive to me, and the fur on beastren looks surprisingly good.

I was wondering if you would like to write a Magic Tree House fic request for me.
---
Well, you deleated this, but it still shows up in my emails.
And I kind of want to talk about requests.
To start with, I'm usually not great at compleating things in a timley manor.
People reading my ask responses have probably realised this, lol. I have so many partially written things bouncing around in my google doc's, and when I will finish them is usually based on many things such as current fixation, enthusiasm for writing, time, ideas of things I can do with them, the cooperation of the muse, procrastination, ect.
Asks, are in a lot of ways easier, as I bounce them with Eclipse, usually. Or idea bouncing in general, is fun, as we have done for other fandoms that haven't gotten as much attention on here as the death note ones.
Such as, for instance, the fun we had with the twilight ones. Or yansim, or KHR.
Or the persona (5 mostly) X Death note fusion that we haven't actually talked about on this blog, but have a bunch of notes and converstions between each other about it stored in the google docs. We call it PDN. Or sometimes P5DN. Mostly the first. It's set in P5 time, but other characters from the older games are planned to appear in it from time to time.
Secondly, I am flattered that you think highly enough of the fic to hope to ask a fic write request based on it, but also I have no idea who you are or what you liked about my writing. Which is important if you want to convince me to write something for you. I want to know where to focus. Also yes, butter me up a bit (or a lot) , it will help me feel enthusiastic about working on the project, which is a good motivator for probably having it done sooner rather then later. Writing is easier when you feel excited about it. Editing is not, but I hope that after the work I put into it, I will get a response to it. I think most writers share these sentiments.
I do not have a beta. My spelling might not always be amazing, (Sayu or Syau?), but I'm not good at being on time generally, and would not want anyone else to be waiting on that too.
So yah, if you have sent me an ask, or a request, sorry for the wait, and thank you for your patience. It will be ready when its ready.
Oh yah, while I'm talking about random people making fic requests of me, I should probably tackle this one (again)
"Hi. My question is, would you be able to write the story of Midoriya Izuku x Alice according to my idea. You don't need to know the whole bnha universe except for a few things (what is quirk, Midoriya Izuku character, Midoriya Inko character) from Wiki and that's it. The plot would have been set in Alice's time so the bnha canon is rejected so you have freedom then"
Very random request to find as a review to a "we know the devil" fanfiction, Guest. Thats a game with 3 named characters, none of them named Alice. In fact, I'm not sure which Alice you are refering to, as it's not exactly an uncomon name, with many characters across different fandoms sharing it with me.
So maybe that's something to go idea bounce with me in PMs on FFnet, if you are interested. I'm aware I'm kind of a lot, but you did ask, stranger, and I'm curious to see where it goes.
So long as we stay fairly polite, and you don't come in with an army of harassing sock puppets (the pokemon fandom was bad for this for awile. Hope its clamed down since) or go for suicide bait (a very rude guest, so I was able to delete them), or something else mean that I haven't thought of.
And some might make an argument for growing thicker skin ir whateves, but this is a hobby, it shouldn't make you miserable. That's just not productive to progress, or fun to take part in.
Overall I guess I feel really mixed, about getting fic requests. I'm intrigued and flattered, but also "I'll write it when I write it, if I write it. It might take years. " So I find myself hesitent to agree or commit, knowing that.
Asks, on the other hand, should not take a year. Can take months maybe depending on busyness and what the brain is focused on, but it will come.
