Ghost Princess!Jazz design
So, since I'm posting chapter 24 of Friendly Neighborhood Vigilante, finally these will see the light of day!!!
Designs and drawing by the amazing @herbatahleb!!! I commissioned him these drawings so I could visualize the suit in my head better; and also so peeps could see what I'm talking about!
Thank you so much Hleb!
Alt version that was scrapped during the design process and me rambling about design ideas under the cut
So the Idea was that in this AU Jazz was trained by Pandora and the dead Amazon warriors in the greek afterlife.
Jazz doesn't use guns, not because of morality or anything, but because she sucks ass at shooting and is like the moment she hits the trigger it doesn't matter where she was aiming, she will cause an accident/hurt someone. (Weapons she doesn't have to actually aim are kinda okay, but you have to be ready for her blowing up something)
So she compensates and uses a lot of long range weapons, with her mom's staff being the one she uses the most. The staff has 2 settings: spear, which she uses for a more aggressive approach (think Okoye and the Dora Milaje from Black Panther)
and War Mode, with the War Mode is the one that is in the final design. I sent Hleb a bunch of reference pictures and the lance is based on Ares' lance in Destripando la Historia (a spanish youtube series)
My general idea is that Jazz is inspired by the war god because she herself had to become one for Danny. She's one of their best strategist but she is also vicious in battle and the best at hand to hand combat and most versatile weapons-wise.
Her suit is also red because it stands out in the Infinite Realms. She makes herself a target so she can attract her enemies to her, since she can't fly or doesn't have a means of quick transportation during battle.
Armor is made for speed and agility, and it's charmed so it enhances her natural ghostly abilities and physique. Her arm pieces can project an ecto shield for defense.
For the crown I had a few references, but mainly Wanda's headpiece in MCU
But also I wanted to include some kind of high fantasy crowns for her, because that's her crown as a princess. While Danny has the black metal one that's constantly on fire, Jazz would have this armor headpiece and only the "tips" would be on fire and then the actual crown appears out of thin air as a fire circle over her head.
For me this detail was important because it showed: first, how for Jazz her crown IS part of her armor and how deeply entwined being a princess is with being a warrior while Danny can be the king without the warrior; and second, to represent how "fake" as a ghost princess she is, since she's not actually dead-dead, because only 2 singular points are actually metal but the rest comes and goes and doesn't anchor to anything.
We also used a bunch of references of Kassandra from Assasins Creed Odyssey
For the boots and other details I really just sent Hleb a bunch of pictures from the Wonder Woman movie Amazonian armor design
Anyway that's all my rant. I'm very happy with the final design and Hleb was very kind to sit with me and let me be specific about what I wanted. Love you, darling!

i just want what's best for you. — miles 1610 x reader
summary: no matter how much miles may love you, you still have to get through his mom for you two to be together. first impressions didn't go so well, and now... now you're starting to think she's right about you. but somehow, you both come to an understanding, and... eventually, an understanding can be made between you two. pairing: miles 1610 x gn!reader genre: slight angst + comfort word count: 2,045 request: Could you do a miles (42 or 1610 or both) x reader where his mom isn’t to fond of her but, it’s only because she doesn’t want to see him get hurt. And reader considers breaking up with him and his mom overhears and feels bad. a/n: hello lovely anon !! omg this was really fun to do ngl, I WILL BE SO CRUSHED IF THIS GETS FLOPPED RGHHHHH i will cry bUT ANYWAY I HOPE YOU LIKE THIS, AND SORRY FOR THE CRAPPY SPANISH AND PROBABLY OOC RIO, I'M SORRY, I TRIED...........
(reblogs are greatly appreciated, it helps get my content out there! if you guys like what you see, please reblog it too <:D)
meeting your partners' parents is never easy; it can be fun, if their parents take a liking to you and are amicable--maybe if they see you as family already for them, then you've hit the jackpot. though, in your case, you couldn't be any worse off than that. you did a few things that miles' parents didn't approve of, a few things that didn't settle right with them or made them slightly cautious about you. be it due to how you look, your lifestyle, your manner of speech and nonchalance around them, how you try a little too hard or not enough to get on their good sides--whatever it was, it didn't make them entirely fond of nor trust you, especially with the fact that you were dating their son and they have made it very clear to him: "no dating until you're 25".
they eventually gave in to miles' persuasion that he was 'old enough' to be dating, to be asking you out and going out with you, and being able to spend time with you without having to hide from his parents where he's been and what he's been doing. his father had to vouch for him, after he made miles swear he and you wouldn't be doing anything stupid nor hide anything from them, and though he trusts miles... he has little faith in you, seeing as how you two hardly speak and only exchange nods, glances, and greetings whenever you're around at miles' place. jeff isn't much of a problem for you, though, he's since accepted that his son loves you and that he wants to be with you--but miles' mom, rio, still hasn't come around to that fact.
in complete honesty... every time rio looks at you, you feel like she's glaring at you, staring you down, sometimes outright judging you in her head. miles swears she doesn't mean anything bad with how she looks at you nor how she speaks, even though she may sound dismissive around you. you try to believe miles, even though it does sometimes come off that rio wants nothing between you and her son. but that whole blind fantasy came crashing down around you during dinner one night when rio confronted miles passive-aggressively and a bit subtly on why his grades seemed to be going down and why some nights, he's out of his room when she comes in.
you were going to speak to miles in the kitchen, ask him if he'd like to watch a movie tonight in his room since you two hardly have time for each other these days, but you stopped in your tracks when you heard rio and miles' voices in the kitchen, sounding as if they were arguing over something. you crept close to the doorway, knowing that eavesdropping on their private conversation was wrong, but you wouldn't have stayed if you just didn't hear rio utter your name, followed by: "i don't even know why you picked them, but mijo, i... i have no reason to believe they're not the reason why you're so distracted these days. don't you think that, maybe... they're a bad influence on you?"
a cold stinging feeling shot up your body and spine as you heard rio talk about you like that, with your eyes widening as you realized what she just proposed to miles: she thinks you're a bad influence on her son. miles defended you, however, claiming that he hasn't even been able to see you for days at a time, that you're busy with personal stuff and school--that you aren't a bad influence on him, none of this is your fault. rio tried to hear miles out, but none of it was computing to her; in her eyes, her son was a good boy who couldn't do anything to disappoint her, maybe do a few wrongs here and there, but he'd never let something like a bad performance at school progress, and he would especially quit sneaking out at night after the first few times, right?
"mom, i'm telling you, they're not involved with anything bad, i'm not involved in anything bad! i just... look, i'm..." miles stuttered as he tried to explain to his mother all these anomalous occurrences and his behavior recently, and due to this hesitation, rio's resolve to pin the blame on you had only gotten worse. "mijo, look at me. please, just... tell your mom the truth. i don't want you to get hurt, to jeopardize yourself and your well-being all for some... person you like. what is it you're doing that's distracting you? is it them? it's gotta be them, otherwise you wouldn't–miles! aún no he terminado de hablar, jovencito, vuelve aquí!" rio called after her son as miles had enough and ran off out of the kitchen, feeling frustrated that his own mother couldn't even believe him that neither of you were up to anything bad. if he lied again, she'd be pissed; and if he told her the truth, she'd be even more pissed, it was a lose-lose scenario for him that had no good solution. at least... not one he'd like.
you crept up the stairs and knocked on miles' door, calling out to him in a soft voice. miles opened the door a crack, and once he verified it was indeed you, he opened the door wider and faced you properly. before you could get a word out, he immediately wrapped you in a big hug, burying his face in the crook of your neck. "man, babe, i'm... oh, am i glad to see you..." he whispered as you hugged him back, a little saddened at what you were about to tell him, about to do to him.
miles pulled away eventually and welcomed you into his room, closing the door behind you two as you he told you could sit down by his bed, as usual. you hesitantly sat down next to him, tensing up a little as you took your seat on his plush bed. he looked over at you with concern tinting his eyes; he reached out for you as you looked down to the floor, away from him. "hey, babe... what's wrong? did i do something, did something... happen?" he asked you as he brushed away the stray hairs on your forehead as you looked at him with sadness filling your frame. you breathed a sigh of reluctance as you fidgeted with your fingers, feeling that if you did this, you'd be doing him and his parents a favor--but on the other hand, you'd be crushing him to bits.
you took in a deep breath and finally exhaled after holding it in for a bit as you gazed back at him, with miles looking at you so anxiously and murmuring if you were alright, if he could do anything to help, but... this was all that could be done now. "miles... you can't be dating me anymore. i'm sorry, it's... my fault." you said in a quieted voice, though the way you said it sounded very vague, miles still felt incredibly crushed and confused by what you meant that 'it was your fault'.
a look of hurt dashed his face as he brought his hand upon yours and reassured you that, no, whatever you meant, it couldn't have been your fault. he tried to comfort you and help you realize that whatever was going on between you two, he'd make up for it. "is it... is it because we aren't able to, y'know, to... be together all the time? is that it...?" he asked you nervously as you shook your head, still looking away from him. miles heaved a little as he tried to calm himself down, rationalize first what could've been the reason why you wanted to suddenly break up with him after he just defended you in front of his mother without you knowing... or... or did you?
how could you explain to miles that a breakup isn't something you wanted, but felt was best for... well, not for you two, but for his parents to quit getting on his case? you didn't hate his parents, not one bit, you understood their concerns if you were in their shoes–but you didn't know what else to do, you couldn't stand seeing miles get chewed out by his own mother for your sake. you sighed as you tried to hold back your tears, as your throat flared up as you kept your sob in and shook your head. "it has nothing to do with you, miles. like i said, it's... it's my fault. i'm sorry, look, i don't... i don't think i'm good enough for you." you tried telling him without breaking down right then and there as miles kept getting his heart pierced in every which way with every word you uttered.
miles tried to understand, but most of all, he kept rambling to you how you both could make it work, he'll be there–it isn't... whatever happened between you two, it isn't your fault. miles teared up a little as he kept holding on to your hand, but his tears finally fell when you let go of his hand and got up to leave. "wait, love–!" he called out for you as you opened the door and, surprise-surprise, his mother was there by the door, listening in on you two with a sad expression.
you yelped when you saw her, with her yelping as well–miles yelped at the both of you yelping, and rio had to tell you both to calm down... no one need to break up with anybody. "i came to say that... that i'm sorry, mijo, and... i'm sorry i've been so cold to you." she said as she looked at you with guilt and remorse in her eyes and tone. she sighed as she leaned against the doorway and looked away from the two of you.
"i don't hate you, i'm just... scared, is all. i'm worried you won't love my boy as much as you say you can, because... i can't control either of you, i can't know what you both do at all times, especially you, miles." she said as she pointed at miles, with miles looking at her with a confused gaze. rio sighed again as she walked over to you and looked up at your eyes, placing her hand on your chin to get you to look at her square in the face.
"i'm sorry if i made it seem like... it was your fault my son hasn't been honest with me–" she said as she shot miles an angry look, "–but you have no fault in this. i'm sorry, just, mother instincts got out of hand." she apologized as you smiled and nodded. "it's okay, mrs. morales..." you said as she smiled. "you know, i kinda like you a little better now. 'mrs. morales', finally..." she said with a smile as you chuckled, with rio telling miles he can still be with you and go out with you if he promises never to sneak out anymore and to get those grades back up.
miles nodded as he told his mom he has to talk to you, alone. "okay, but no locked doors–" "yeah, yeah, got it mom!" miles called out from behind the door as he closed it on her. you rubbed the back of your neck as miles looked down at the ground, the both of you feeling really awkward but pretty relieved at the same time with how that 'breakup' between you two was very short lived.
miles cleared his throat as he began to speak, but you rushed up and hugged him, murmuring how glad you are that you didn't have to leave him. miles reciprocated your hug and whispered back to you he'd never let anybody–not even his own parents–get in the way of him loving you dearly. he was just glad his mom, though very slowly–started to realize you weren't a distraction to him, but someone he cared about.
he understands all she wants is the best for him, but... maybe now was the time he decided what was best for him on his own, and that'd be with you by his side, letting him love you wholeheartedly.

Journalism delenda est, continued
If Fox News really were the right-wing hate-machine that Democrats love to imagine, Fox could spin off a channel with a name like Blacks Behaving Badly, which would be simply continuous coverage of murders and rapes committed by blacks.
Blacks Behaving Badly could easily get 24-hour material of constantly new crimes by giving merely an hour to each black murder or black rape, because blacks commit those crimes about hourly in America. (Compare the way left-wing press is still bleating about Emmett Till.) The information on BBB would all be true, of course, and the channel would be dedicated to covering some matters and not others, which is inevitable because every TV channel has to make some decisions about what to include of the millions of events that happen every day.
It would still be a wicked, shit-stirring, hate-inciting, no good, very bad, racebait channel with a chronic shortage of redeeming features, whose selective coverage would be obviously malicious.
I bring up this hypothetical construct as a point of comparison for the wicked bit of shit-stirring racebait and so forth that recently came out of Reuters in real life: a special report on how U.S. leaders have slaveholding ancestors. Chronic shortage of redeeming features.
Shoddy's line pretty much sums it up, but let's look at the special report a bit more.
In a special bit of adding insult to injury, it violates usability guidelines by hijacking scroll commands (mousewheel, arrow keys, etc) before we get to the main content. Here is the page as it looks when it first loads:
And here is the page as it looks after I hit the Page Down key:
These self-important theater kids made a fucking unskippable opening cutscene out of a fucking webpage. The Down arrow key does nothing here. The Page Down key pressed a second time merely advances the gradually revealing text by two lines, while changing the image's highlight. Page Down should skip me past the fucking image-video-hybrid-animation and move me down the page.
Then we get to the content. I shall excerpt and quote full paragraphs here.
More than 100 U.S. leaders – lawmakers, presidents, governors and justices – have slaveholding ancestors, a Reuters examination found. Few are willing to talk about their ties to America's “original sin”
Everyone Has Slaveholding Ancestors.
I can forgive the tweeter for being space-constrained and having to drop terms that can be inferred from context. The text in the full report (not headline), a page down, has no such excuse. Perhaps you say "it's obvious what they mean from context", but I assure you, it is not in fact obvious and the clarification further down is not the obvious one.
Many lawmakers need look no further than their own family histories to find a much more personal connection to slavery in America, a brutal system of oppression that resulted in the deadliest conflict in U.S. history.
Second deadliest, unless something very odd happened with WW2 since last time I checked. (Perhaps they're using a special metric like "deaths on American soil", I imagine.)
In researching the genealogies of America’s political elite, a Reuters examination found that a fifth of the nation’s congressmen, living presidents, Supreme Court justices and governors are direct descendants of ancestors who enslaved Black people.
And here's a clarification of "slaveholding ancestors", three fucking pages into the special report: ancestors who enslaved the Reverentially Capitalized Race. Doesn't count if they enslaved Persons of Pallor.
Except that paragraph is still wrong, descriptively and normatively. We'll see further down in the report that it's not counting the Africans who enslaved other Africans, such as Ayuba Suleiman Diallo. Or the extensive history of Islamic slavery, which via Andalusian intermarriage to the Spanish royal family and from there to the American colonies, results in a great many more descendants of people who enslaved persons-of-the-favored-race. Reuters put a great deal of work into studying a subject it frequently contradicts itself about the bounds of.
In addition, President Joe Biden and every living former U.S. president – except Donald Trump – are direct descendants of slaveholders: Jimmy Carter, George W. Bush, Bill Clinton and – through his white mother’s side – Barack Obama. Trump’s ancestors came to America after slavery was abolished.
This is racebait, journalism delenda est, everyone who wrote this should be banned from public communication.
Two of the nine sitting U.S. Supreme Court justices – Amy Coney Barrett and Neil Gorsuch – also have direct ancestors who enslaved people.
Everyone has direct ancestors who enslaved people.
I am going to keep harping on this for as long as Reuters keeps playing fast and loose with words. This special report online does not have the space constraints of a physical newspaper, nor does it have the time constraints of having to report on urgent news with a deadline tomorrow. It is written by supposedly professional wordsmiths with alleged editors and so-called fact-checkers. It has the leisure to get things right. It's welcome to use shorthand after getting things right (and preferably noting the shorthand), but Reuters has not gotten it right yet and will continue to contradict itself.
South Carolina, where the Civil War began, illustrates the familial ties between the American political elite and the nation’s history of slavery. Every member of the state’s nine-person delegation to the last Congress has an ancestral link. The state’s two Black members of Congress – Senator and Republican presidential candidate Tim Scott and Representative James Clyburn, a powerful Democrat – have forebears who were enslaved. Each of the seven white lawmakers who served in the 117th Congress is a direct descendant of a slaveholder, Reuters found. So too is the state’s Republican governor, Henry McMaster.
I assure you that everyone involved here has forebears who were enslaved and is the direct descendant of a slaveholder. If you're going to contrast the two, get the specifics right.
This is racebait, journalism delenda est, everyone who wrote this should be banned from public communication and have a finger cut off as a continual reminder of their sins.
There's a bunch of specific people and degree of relation listed. I'll skip past them to see where Reuters is fucking around again.
A Reuters/Ipsos poll for this report suggests that a politician’s links to slavery might sway some voters. In a national survey, almost a quarter of respondents – 23% – said knowing that a candidate’s ancestors enslaved people would make them less likely to vote for that candidate. That number rose to 31% among respondents who identified as Democrats, and 35% among Black respondents. What’s unclear is how significant the topic is compared to race relations more broadly or other hot-button issues such as abortion.
Bold mine, Reuters really cannot keep this straight, this does not match their previous special report statements, and it also doesn't match the wording that was actually used in the poll. The poll respondents weren't given this whole special report for implicit context when they were asked:
“Would knowing that a political candidate’s ancestors or family members owned slaves in America make you more or less likely to vote for them?”

911 s1e3 Part 2 (part 1 here)
Abby has a brother! That was unexpected, she has been struggling so much to take care of her mom alone (especially before Carla) that I thought she was an only child.
Why doesn’t he help out at all? He seems nice enough and cares about their mother if he’s looking at memory care facilities for her. Does he live far away?
Also how is Abby going to take this? Not well I’m guessing
Ouch this hits home closer than I expected. My grandma can’t walk anymore and needs someone to help her take care of herself so my aunt took on the role of main caretaker.
She’s the one who takes care of her because she’s her only child within no children of her own. She does everything for her, barely gets out of the house and we always jokingly call her a saint.
So yeah, I can definitely relate
This is also very true! Sometimes the people who sacrifice the most are the ones who complain the least. Doesn’t make their sacrifice any less real.
And he doesn't help out because he has a family and children and is just too busy. Understandable but unfortunate.
Am I… supposed to feel tense? I didn’t believe for one second that he could die and I think there’s a 0.0001% chance he won’t recover.
It’s a bit weird to put such hard hitting character moments (Athena's daughter, Chimney) at the beginning of a show, when you haven’t really built a strong attachment yet
Another thing that unfortunately happens irl too. But I have to say I like recognizing real life events and cases, it makes things feel more realistic (it has happened quite a bit in these first few episodes, I wonder if it's a regular thing?).
Also I HATE when subtitles put “speaking [insert language]” instead of traNSLATING WHAT THEY ARE ACTUALLY SAYING WTF
Fortunately I speak spanish! The man said “help me, please! My son is not breathing”, “breathe, son”, “you need to breathe, Javi” and the woman said “god please, my son”.
Fortunately Javi is okay!
… really?
Are you really gonna answer your phone after you JUST did cpr on a child and are still on the job? And I just praised the show for being realistic lol
Also Abby told Buck about her mother!
The way Abby describes having a loved one with Alzheimer’s is breaking my heart, it’s very well done
Also this conversation is really interesting! I can see both of their points of view and I understand why Buck gave her the advice he did (makes sense with everything that’s happening this episode), BUT I think it was the wrong advice.
Abby is clearly taking on more than she can take but loves her mother and feels guilty sharing the burden with someone else (even if that someone is professional help). Buck doesn’t understand all this so he basically reinforces the idea that she does have to put herself second and shoulder her mother’s illness herself no matter what. He does this with no ill intent, he just doesn’t understand the situation.
Like you can see how defeated Abby is when she hears Buck’s reply. It’s what she feared she would hear. It confirms that she IS a bad daughter for feeling tired and considering putting her mother in a memory care facility (which she isn’t just to be clear). It’s the last thing she needed.
I have to say this exchange really highlights how different their life experiences are (she gave Buck awesome advice when he was in need because she understood how he felt, but he wasn’t able to do the same for her because he has never been in her shoes).
Bobby and Tatiana talking? Unexpected but really interesting
In any other circumstance the word “family” would have been appreciated but here… you can see her want to run away
Oh boy
They’re making Tatiana much more… human (?) than I expected. I thought they were gonna make her really uncaring or mean for no real reason, just because that’s what the plot needed, but she actually feels like her own character with a background and a worldview that influence her actions. She’s not being mean for meanness sake, she realizes what her absence looks like and how she’ll be judged for that but can’t bring herself to pretend anyway.
Also “either I say yes or I’m some kind of monster” is such a female experience, I feel for her.
That being said, Bobby is also right: you don’t have to be in love (or in a relationship) with someone to show compassion and care and empathy. It’s about decency.
I can really see both of their points of view which is the last thing I expected.
I'm putting this whole bit in because damn it hit hard. Having such a real and raw scene with Tatiana of all characters was really unexpected.
I still think that she should follow Bobby's advice and visit Chimney in the hospital, but I can't say that anything she said here was wrong.
WHY AM I GETTING EMOTIONAL ABOUT A CHARACTER I'VE KNOWN FOR MAYBE TWO MINUTES
This scene was just written really well okay? Acted well too.
I love how soft and non-judgemental Bobby is. Unfortunately Tatiana won't budge.
Okay the scene is over and oh boy was it a roller coaster of emotions! After watching it all I still think Tatiana should go visit Chimney at the hospital at least once. Everything she said was understandable and made sense but at the end of the day she's still Chimney's girlfriend and Chimney cares for her; if not out of love than she should be there for him as a kind human being.
NOOOOO CARLA WE LOVE YOU WE WOULD NEVER GET RID OF YOU I mean I do think a facility is the best option and that would technically mean no more Carla but I LOVE YOU AND WANT YOU TO STAY
Owww she's so nice and kind, recommending the facility even if that means she'd be out of a job 🥹
I thought the writers where gonna use this as an excuse to add drama but I really like the genuine approach they're taking
Mmmmh I knew Buck's comment would make her take a step back :\
I mean, the reasoning makes sense but it feels like that's the reason she used to convince herself more than anything. She clearly loves her mother and wants to spend time with her but she could have done that with the facility too.
OH SHIT
This is Athena looking for her daughter's bully, I don't even have to see her to know
There she is
Athena... please don't do anything rash... I know you're angry but PLEASE for the love of god..... YOU'RE IN UNIFORM TOO
Oh thank GOD she held herself back. I honestly expected murder
Not that those eyes promise anything good but still
(part 3 coming I have no clue when)
P.S. I haven't been able to post these comments as quickly as I would have liked (blame my job) but in the meantime I have been watching SO MANY episodes. I take notes while I watch so that I don't forget my thoughts and theories.

Judging the songs that made it into the final because i am full of rage*
*not to be taken seriously
Armenia: you know what? good for her. good for her. the song didn't strike me as a qualifier at first listen, but the performance convinced me. it's really cute! the vibes here are impeccable. rosa dealt with a mild inconvenience when tearing down those post-its that might have ruined her performance otherwise and i think that's the mark of a good performer (sunny stop saying "perform" challenge). it's giving "indie coming of age movie soundtrack", and i mean this as an absolute compliment. they've dealt with the fact it's a ballad giving the scene a dynamic gist and that's very smart of them actually. go rosa!
Greece: alright miss Billie Eilish go off. i actually like this song a lot? it has a very pop sound i enjoy. i feel like the jury will appreciate it. the performance is a bit underwhelming, to be honest –not for Amanda's voice, her voice is excellent– but the stage is very empty. the chairs are cool and all but i hope they can bring something else before the final because they could get a really good result
Iceland: i am sorry cowgirl sisters but this is one of the songs you use to get a pee break. it's SO boring. who voted for this. like i don't wanna be excessively mean but this puts me to sleep and ballads in Eurovision need to die. i guess it's sweet if you squint. idk Iceland usually produces my favorite hits and this is pretty much sleepy time. it's going to place terribly in the final and I'm gonna be sad for them but i don't think they should've qualified
Lithuania: :/ at least we get to hear Lithuanian right? because this is boring as all hell. at least it's different to what we usually see. sorry Lithuania i love you guys but this ain't it it's sleep inducing i don't like it at all :( bring back the discoteque
Moldova: HEY HO LET'S GO FOLKLORE SI ROCK AND ROLL i love my folk grandpas and their violin. oh this song is so fun i like it so much. so Eurovision. they're unapologetically fun and i love that for them. this is the kind of song i like for Eurovision, folklore and fun. anything else doesn't keep me engaged. honestly Moldova always puts out the BIGGEST hits i don't know how they do it but I'm so proud of them for this!! it may not do extraordinarily well in the final but they're going to be a blast and that's what matters
Netherlands: Dutch is SO beautiful but ballads make me want to actually block my ears with wax. I'm here to have fun and forget, not to cry my eyes out. if i have to make a concession, though, this is definitely the best ballad this year. her voice is incredible and so is the song. the jury is going to eat it up and leave no crumbs
Norway: YUMYUMYUMYUM PEAK EUROVISION YES. GOOD. always trust Norway to go fucking insane and keep the spirit of the contest alive. i love this song it gives me so much serotonin and the little dance is so ridiculous i LOVE it. the Spanish commenters having to say "they come from the moon and were founded two million years ago" was the embodiment of Eurovision energy and spirit. we're here for shits and giggles! give us the shits and giggles! congrats norway, this is a top 10. also if subwoolfer unmask themselves in the final and they're the Ylvis brothers in disguise I'm going to be INSUFFERABLE about it
Portugal: lesbian rights okay but what the FUCK is this doing in the final. actually what the hell Portugal you know i love y'all, you're my neighbors and i cherish you but. well at least it's something different. i love the song but not for Eurovision, at all. despite its lack of life, it's very elegant and very very beautiful and heartfelt. like i said i love it but. what's it doing here
Switzerland: Christmas song why are you here. as one of y'all said in my replies, "it's giving Salvador Sobral but like. bad" and you're SO right its message is necessary but it's BORING. one of the few songs i actively dislike. c'mon Switzerland baby you're better than this. i know you. last year the formula was perfect, with a ballad that had rhythm and you ALMOST WON. why did you send this next. ballads *clap* need *clap* to DIE *clap*
Ukraine: STEFANIA MAMO MAMO STEFANIA literally the best fucking song by FAR it's going to win by a landslide and i am going to yell the chorus every time it plays. not to be dramatic but i love my mom so it makes me cry as well as bang my head incessantly. what a song. dare i say, a winner. they seem to have repeated the Go_A effect, which i felt they weren't going to be able to do easily, but they passed with flying colors. Slava Ukraini y'all they've got this in the BAG
Extra:
Italy: talented, brilliant, incredible, amazing, show stopping, spectacular, never the same, totally unique, completely not ever been done before, unafraid to reference or not reference, put it in a blender THIS SONG. this song gives me the CHILLS (get it, because its title is Italian for "shivers"). this is how you do a ballad in Eurovision. god it's excellent. oh my god. i am obsessed? i have been since it was chosen in Sanremo. i won't get over it. ti amo Mahmood e ti amo Blanco bellissima canzione and all that my Italian is shit but just enough to scream this song out like it was the ANTHEM of my COUNTRY (which has no lyrics but anyway)
France: go Breton witches go! i am legally forbidden from admitting France ever does anything right (/j) but this song is SO cool. very important of them to send a song in Breton! this is what Tanxugueiras would have been if sent to Eurovision, but a bit better. their voices are fascinating, the male singer is hypnotizing, the rhythm is VERY Celtic which, as a person from a fellow Celtic region, i appreciate immensely; but also NOT boring and very dance-able. i love it with a passion. this is what Eurovision should be: putting our culture in display, celebrating our diversity and differences. one of my top songs for this year, but don't let the french find out >:)
anyway justice for latvia

Summer Heat
Description: Female reader imagines what being with some of Chicago's finest might look like. Kelly Severide. Jay Halstead. Antonio Dawson.
Warnings: 18+ only, oral sex (fem receiving), brief mention of spanking. Smut language?
If you read this and like it, please comment and reblog. Please.
Summer Heat
The Chicago summer air was heavy. Inside the 21st precinct was almost as stifling. Either the air conditioning can't keep up with the high temperature, or the outdated unit is on the fritz. You realize it quite possibly could be both. You suppose it doesn't matter as one point remains the same: there's no relief from the summer heat.
To make matters worse, things are unusually quiet for the Intelligence Unit. You and the team are stuck at your desks getting caught up on tedious paperwork. Everyone is desperate for interruptions.
Adam stands suddenly, volunteering to pick up lunch. Antonio tells him it's only nine and a disgruntled Adam sits back down in his chair.
The day drags on. So far you have attempted paperwork, rearranged the contents of your desk, made yourself appear busy without really doing anything, taken two bathroom breaks, and actually worked on your paperwork.
A sigh escapes you. You're bored and hot, itching for anything to break up the monotony of this day.
You catch a sudden movement from the corner of your eye and spot a familiar face.
Kelly Severide from Firehouse 51 is bouncing up the stairs. He nods in greeting to the others in the bullpen. Before you can get out the question as to what he's doing here, he shoots you a playful wink and heads straight into Voight's office, closing the door behind him.
Maybe it's the heat. Maybe it's due to boredom, but despite being at work you can't help but imagine Kelly giving you that same wink right before he brings his lips to your entrance planting a kiss right there. Then his mouth dips down, his tongue darts out licking at your folds. His stubble brushing against your sensitive skin and his tongue finding your sweetest spot, causing you to moan. Kelly wouldn't bother fighting back a chuckle. He'd slip a finger inside you and work it vigorously giving you immense pleasure. He'd continue to lick and suck at your clit, pausing only to say how good you taste. Another finger would slip inside you and Kelly wouldn't stop until you climaxed. He'd feel you start to shake and would encourage you to come with words and actions. Your hips would involuntarily buck against his mouth, but Kelly would be unbothered...
You cross your legs desperate to feel any friction. The door to the office swings open and you nearly jump. Kelly catches your eyes and you think you blush.
"See ya around, y/n." He waves a hand bye to the others.
"Mhm," is all you manage to mumble before he disappears down the stairs.
Jay questionly looks at you from his desk. But you shake your head. You grab a hair tie from your wrist and grab your hair to put in a high ponytail desperate to keep it off your neck.
"You look like you could use this." You look to see Jay now standing at the side of your desk, offering you a cold bottle of water.
'Thanks," you smile as you reach for it. You place the bottle at the nape of your neck before cracking it open and taking a long sip.
Jay leans closer to you. Despite the heat, his hot breath tickles your skin. "Sure you're okay?"
"I'm fine," you lie. As Jay makes his way back to his desk your mind wanders again. This time to Jay.
His lips drop to the spot on your neck behind your ear as he presses a sensual kiss there. He's just told you how fucking beautiful you are and you can still feel his breath on your skin. His hands would roam your body. His calloused fingers feeling rough against your soft breasts but his touch would be gentle, cupping each one, massaging them and lightly pinching your nipples. A delighted moan would escape you and you would straddle him. You envision Jay helping you lower yourself onto him. As you adjust to his size, he sucks and nips at your neck and collarbone. Your hips would steadily rock against him. While you might be in control of the speed Jay would take advantage of the position. His hand and mouth are taking turns engulfing your breasts, fingers pinching your hardening nipples, tongue encircling the sensitive peaks. His actions eliciting more pleasurable moans from you. You would build a faster rhythm, almost aching with desire. His other hand makes its way to your ass, smacking it lightly. The stinging sensation would only turn you on more. Your hitched voice telling Jay you're about to cum would cause his light eyes to grow dark with lust. His hands urgently attach themselves to your hips as he helps you rock against him harder and faster until...
Antonio calls your name, pulling you out of your daydream. Your head whips in his direction. "What?"
A smirk plays at his lips as he carefully looks at you. Fearing that he can read your mind, you blush. Of course you're being ridiculous; there's no way he could know what you were just thinking about your colleague. Your eyes carefully dart to Jay, who has his head down in his paperwork. You look back at Antonio. You're not sure, but you think his smirk has grown.
"I asked you if you had an extra file folder." He stands at his desk, arms crossed and it's impossible for you not to notice how the stance emphasizes his perfectly chiseled arms.
"Uh..umm, yeah. It's right...Um, here," you answer, clearly distracted, pulling out your side desk drawer, rummaging through files until you come across an empty folder. Antonio's eyes never left you, but now you feel Jay's on you again. You glance at him, but seeing his bemused expression, you quickly look back in your drawer. Pulling out the folder, you extend your arm, finally offering it. "Sorry, Antonio." He takes it from you grinning, but doesn't say anything, which is for the best because once again you're preoccupied.
You can't help it. You really like how his name falls from your lips. An...ton...i..o… An...ton..i..o. Oh! You imagine calling out his name over and over. His large dick would fill you completely and he would expertly drive it in and out of you. Your moans of pleasure mixed with his name would only encourage him and you just know he'd be calling you mami or nena. And that would almost be enough to send you over the edge. One of your hands would grip his muscular shoulder, nails undoubtedly leaving marks as you dig into him, attempting to bring him impossibly closer. Your other fingers would lace themselves in his short hair and tug. His thrusts somehow manage to hit you deeper. Your back would arch further into the mattress and the slight change in position would cause your name to come out of Antonio, followed by a few swear words in Spanish. This would, of course, turn you on even more. Antonio would be able to tell by the way your eyes fluttered shut but not before you saw that smirk of his. He'd purr into your ear, telling you how good you felt and that he wasn't anywhere near done with you yet. His words would trigger your release, your walls clamping around him -
"Alright, all of you get outta here, we're done for the day," your sergeant's gruff voice interrupts you and you're embarrassed to admit you never even heard his office door open.
Upon Voight's dismissal, you all but jump from your seat more than ready to leave the precinct.
Jay easily catches up with you. "Hey, y/n, wait. Let's go to Molly's for a drink. You can tell me what's been on your mind all day."
"Uh…"
"I just got a text from Gabby," Antonio's voice calls out from behind you as he slowly approaches the two of you. "Said she, Casey, and Severide are already there. Looks like everyone is wanting a cold one after this scorcher of a day. So, what do you say, y/n….you coming?"
Antonio's choice of words cause you to blush and you mentally curse yourself. Jay and Antonio watch you waiting for your response.
"Yeah, I'm coming- I mean, yes I'll go to Molly's." You quickly walk away, leaving the two men behind. You wonder just how long it will take for you to be able to look either of them in the eyes again. This was going to be a long night.
Stupid summer heat.

Problematic Faves Cliffs Notes: Harvey Dent/Two-Face
Batman (1980) #329
Summary: Once a crusading district attorney that worked alongside Batman and Jim Gordon to fight crime – now the duality-obsessed super criminal known as Two-Face.
Harvey Dent also serves as a dark reflection of Batman's own struggles living a dual life with conflicting identities.
Main Goal: To enact his own justice whilst committing crimes.
Fears: Uncertainty, himself in general [the things he's capable of, specifically], losing control, his loved ones dying, his darker half discovering Bruce's secret identity [Detective Comics (2016) #1021], Renee Montoya's rejection [Batman: No Man's Land, novel], and the Joker [Joker (2008), only].
Mindset: Sees himself bound by fate and its will. As a result of Harvey's black-and-white worldviews, he considers his two-headed (scarred on one side) silver dollar a truly objective instrument of justice due to it only yielding two simple, 50/50 outcomes at the end of every coin toss.
"Some people go to the beach to forget their problems. They can watch the waves for hours. I understand the fascination.
There's a pattern – then there is no pattern.
It's the same with the coin. We want it all to mean something – we want to find the pattern – but in the final analysis, it's just waves."
— Harvey Dent, Secret Origins Special (1989) #1
•••
"He was always interested in the law – some might say obsessed. Man's law gave order to Harvey's world – they delineated the parameters of right and wrong, good and evil. They gave him something to believe in."
— Gilda Dent, Secret Origins Special (1989) #1
•••
Hugo Strange: Let's go back further, you were a rising star, a beacon of light for this city. A white knight riding in to save it with the Dark Knight not far behind.
Harvey Dent: You can leave him out of this. He is wrong. They all are. No one understands the beauty of fate's hand. I am grateful to Falcone. He gave me a clarity; a purity that few will know. Everything boils down to a simple choice, this way or that way, good... or bad.
Hugo Strange: Do you really believe that?
Harvey Dent: How could I not?
— Batman: Arkham City
•••
Batman: If you pull the trigger, how are you different from the Roman?
Harvey Dent: That's Jim Gordon talking. You know the system doesn't work. That justice can be decided like the flip of a coin.
— The Long Halloween
•••
"You thought we could be decent men in an indecent time... but you were wrong! The world is cruel. And the only morality in a cruel world is chance. Unbiased, unprejudiced, fair."
— Harvey Dent, The Dark Knight
•••
"Life's a lottery, Holman. It's chance that decides who lives and who dies. Who gets cancer. Which kid is born with spina bifida. Who gets run over by a truck.
This [the coin] is what decides whether or not I blow your wife's brains out."
— Harvey Dent, Joker's Asylum: Two-Face #1
Teen Titans Spotlight (1987) #13

Yes yes yes spec Spidey is so good I'm so glad you're watching it! Imo it's the best adaptation. I would love to hear all of your thoughts on it!
Lmao I was planning on not commenting on it to avoid clogging up people's dashboards (also the reason why I've taken to making all the liveblogging of one issue into a single post instead of little comments), but hey, if you insist! I mean, if you really twist my arm!
I am enjoying it! I'm only on ep 6 but I'm definitely enjoying it!
Honestly, the one TV show where the opening credits aren't only watchable, they're (ugh) enjoyable! The song is so great I kinda wonder if it doesn't affect my opinion of the whole show.
The action, especially the web-slinging, is so good! They really have a handle on Peter's agility.
I already know some of the beats they're gonna hit, partly because I got spoiled, partly because I caught some of it when I was younger, but there's stuff I still wonder about. Is Flash gonna get a bit more sympathetic, like in the comics? I don't mean post-Gwen's death and Harry's capture levels of sympathy, but I did notice that he's quite a bit more aggressive than he was in the Ditko era, so I wondered if they're gonna balance it out with his admiration of Spidey and the few sparks of decency he showed back then, too. Then again, he hasn't tried to disguise as someone Peter believed to be a dangerous criminal in order to scare him, or led the whole class to Peter's house so they could see how he beat him up, so. It just seems like they traded some of his particular dislike of Peter for his sense of overall nobility, you know?
Eddie Brock being Peter's "bro" was a huge surprise! Didn't see that one coming at all. I do know that some beats will remain the same, so I wonder how he'll make the change into Venom.
I am kind of upset that they made Hobie a mean jock. At least make him a nice jock, like Rand(y)! Oh, well, there's still 20 episodes for him to redeem himself. Do I think it will happen? No, but a girl can dream.
Between the Raimi movies and this show, this was the decade of making Ock sympathetic, huh?
Norman's voice is sooooo evil.
I usually dislike when retellings try to sort of compress all the origin stories? You know, like Spider-Man Chapter One? This time, though, I'm digging it. I think it's because it's a whole new thing instead of something that would replace the old stuff.
I think they hit a nice compromise between not repeating the origin story (even though it hadn't been done that many times by then) and honoring Ben with the first episode. It showed both his emotional importance, since both May and Peter talked about him, and how his death affected them practically. Like, the first episode opens to an unbalanced household for the Parkers. I think they're gonna show it anyway, eventually, too?
Gwen's more bearable than she was originally, but she's a bit peripheral, isn't she? At least, she has been, so far. Of course, they had to set up an introduction for Peter as well as at least one villain each episode (in that sense, streamlining it with pre-existing minor characters like Marko and O'Hirn [I JUST realized that's a pun for horn] was pretty genius), build up the Big Man reveal, and have a Peter subplot to balance the Spider-Man one for each episode, it's no wonder she's been kept on the sidelines a bit, even if she'll be a major love interest later. It's not like she can contribute much to the action plot, like Harry.
That said, I also don't like her voice acting - I don't know why tbh. Or Mary Jane's, for that matter! I've only heard the jackpot line, so far, but that's like, the line you don't mess up. I don't know, she might redeem herself. it just seemed too whispery.
That said, making Liz latina, both in looks and in how she speaks (I mean, I'm not sure I recognize it as a Spanish accent, but I wouldn't, would I? I just speak it), paints a potentially interesting picture of her social standing. I mean, in the comics, while still nicer than Flash even before she got a crush on Peter, she was also very much her own girl - outspoken, resolute and a leader. Also very rich. There haven't really been any reference to her economic background, yet, but her accent brings the question of how long has her family been settled in New York, as opposed to the 616 Allans, who had a fancy hotel that had existed at least long enough for Ben Urich to have taken her wife dancing there.
Making Martha Curt's partner was a good call, as long as it lasted. It did away with the passivity of her old role without losing the effectiveness of having someone to worry for Curt. I do wish they'd had him befriend Spider-Man, if only because I liked that friendship in the comics, but I understand that they had to streamline a lot of things. Still, it would've been an interesting contrast of not trusting Peter but being one of Spidey's only friends. I wonder if he'll come back. I wonder if any of the villains will come back.
There's something so funny about Peter just. Shooting his shot with a 20 year old Betty. His game was impressive enough in the comics, but the guts here.
Poor Sally. First they kill you, then they whitewash you and make you a mean girl. I mean, she wasn't a saint or anything, but, you know.
I think that’s all for now lmao.

RNM 2x06 - Sex and Candy
EPISODE SUMMARY:
Maria’s (Heather Hemmens) investigation into her mother’s disappearance leads her and Alex (Tyler Blackburn) to the home of a mysterious boot maker named Travis (guest star David Anders). Meanwhile, on her journey of self-discovery, Isobel’s (Lily Cowles) night out leads her into the arms of someone unexpected. Finally, after making some major scientific strides, Liz (Jeanine Mason) is dealt a devastating blow. Geoff Shotz directed the episode written by Rick Montano & Vincent Ingrao (#206). Original airdate 4/20/2020.
DETAILS:
Max and Isobel's fight:
Lights start flickering when Max starts getting aggressive and then get brighter as he gets more worked up.
The first attempt to expel it seemed like he was causing an earthquake. He blew out all the windows in the gym, knocked Isobel down, and there was shaking. But it didn't seem to go beyond that room - no damage is seen when Michael arrives or around town.
Note, after the earthquake thingie the lights go out
His hands are doing the electric power thingie and THEN he also grabs the lightning.
I think Isobel used her telekinesis to stop it and then push it away, which seemed to work...but if so then why couldn't Noah do that last season?
Was it the sheer volume of electricity? There was definitely MORE than with Noah.
Michael uses his telekinesis to manually reset Max's heart. This is very smart of him. Note that he's using his own heart/pulse to get it right.
They are using the antidote to Liz's serum to try to heal Max's mind.
Michael says that they've been giving him antidote injections for three days (time jump).
Three days of antidote and no new memories for Max.
Isobel remembered her blackouts within a few hours of getting injected with the antidote in 1x10.
Note: Liz hesitated using the antidote this way in 1x10 because Isobel could still be dangerous and they didn't know about the 4th Alien yet. There doesn't seem to be a similar hesitation with Max. Because Liz trusts him more? Because him forgetting her is more personal? It's not like there isn't a chance that Max is still dangerous…
Maria arranged a Mexican market in the Pony parking lot to subsidize her income.
Buffy the Beagle is Forrest's dog!
Maria comments that the meteor shower makes animals act strange. And humans too.
Forrest and Maria are organizing an open night mic at the Wild Pony. Free drinks for performers.
Maria clearly approves of Forrest and Alex getting to know each other. She smacks Alex for his awkward flirting.
The bootmaker's farm is about an hour outside of town.
The Science:
Kyle and Steph are watching a "surgical separation of craniopagus twins".
Craniopagus Twins = twins attached at the cranium/head. (Aka not a heart surgery).
"Did you know, ever since 1947, twin births in Roswell are higher than the national average? Maybe it's aliens."
Speaking of awkward flirting…. "You're just my favorite person I can't stand."
The Spanish:
Le cambio una bolsa de chiles para mi papá...for the free fries next time you come to the Crashdown.
Liz is bartering. She says basically, I'll trade you a bag of chiles for my papa for free fries next time you come to the Crashdown.
Note, the captions for this are wrong and use the Spanish word for grasshoppers instead, but you can clearly hear Liz say chiles. Thanks to @rosaortecho for pointing that out to me.
Max says:
I'm trying to eat clean. Uh, tiene carne seca sin como se dice, preservativos.
He's trying to say, basically, does the jerky have preservatives.
Quiere carne a sin preservativos?
Basically, you want meat without condoms?
Lo siento. Uh, no lo entiendo.
I'm sorry, I don't get it.
Él quiere decir conservantes.
He means preservatives.
Gracias. Estoy embarazado.
Thank you. I'm pregnant.
Michael asks Max who he's texting. Max says everyone has been messaging him but Cameron is the only one who hasn't responded, which isn't like her.
Wildly curious who he was texting though. It's not like he's a social butterfly. His mom? The sheriff? Who? As I pointed out to some friends the other day, he spent his 21st birthday getting trashed with his SISTER. This is not a trait of a guy with lots of close friends.
Just as another note, Michael says he ghosted her. When exactly was that? Yes, Max ran out on her in the middle of a handy in 1x03, but they addressed that the next day. She "broke up" with him in 1x07, but they were still good right up until she left town.
Isobel:
"Does he seem different to you?"
Alex and Maria playing "Never have I Ever" in the car. Good way to do background on characters.
Maria has never cheated on a boyfriend
Alex has never been in a real relationship. Not even "Kellie Sommer-something".
Alex says that whenever he was with a woman he was trying to disappear. Except for Sophomore year after Battle of the Bands. Seven Minutes in Heaven in Haley Moore's hall closet. Alex and Maria kissed and it was Maria's first kiss (and boob graze). She always thought she'd marry Alex. Had to come up with a new plan after he came out.
Alex says "I did too."
"Kissing you in that closet was the first time in my life that I enjoyed touching someone."
Max picks up Liz for their first date…
Just as a note, Save Tonight was the opening song in the pilot of OG Roswell. During the "oh, Max Evans is staring at you again." exchange between Liz and Maria. So, it might go well with new beginnings or something ;-)
The Science:
"Psychogenic amnesia limits retrieval of stored memories, but if we light up your limbic system and gustatory cortex with some familiar signals…"
"Your milkshake might bring all my memories to the yard?"
**Note, second reference to this song in the context of Liz bringing Max milkshakes. First was in 1x06 by Isobel. Hmm. 1x06 and 2x06… maybe they should crack this joke in 3x06 too.
"Sometimes when people wake up from comas they have different personalities, different tastes even…"
Everything you ever wanted to know about psychogenic amnesia:
But, my main takeaway is that it's a specific type of amnesia where there's abnormal memory function but no brain damage or other clear cause of it.
Limbic system:
Basically the part of your brain that stores emotion, behavior, and long term memory.
Gustatory cortex:
Basically the part of your brain that processes taste.
Maria compares Michael to Chad because he starts fights and lies. Alex disagrees and lists ways that he was doing good things:
He lied to protect his family from Alex's family.
He shouldered the burden of a murder he didn't commit for ten years so that Isobel didn't have to.
He pushed Maria away to protect her - which might be a good thing too because of all his baggage.
First Date:
Max went to Ranch camp one summer and dislocated his shoulder while trying to read Lord of the Rings on horseback. #nerd.
Liz references the gala as not their first date, but there was also the desert in high school. I guess she doesn't count that either.
Side note: Cam and Liz talked about him peacocking in 2x03, but that kinda felt out of character at the time to the Max we knew. This Max DOES seem like he's peacocking a bit. Got dressed up, taking Liz horseback riding. He admitted to trying to one up whatever they did together before. Just an interesting (to me) observation.
Liz looks panicky when Max suggests truth serum (because Science!Liz probably could make truth serum), but once she realizes he means whiskey she's like, "oh yes, that's fine." Oh Liz…
Diego details:
They were engaged just last year
Liz left without saying goodbye
Bioengineer
They were working together on the Denver study
They would come home and keep talking about work
He had ideas to help improve it
They both spoke The Science
He pushed her to get better at The Science
When the funding was cut she realized she loved the work more than him
Liz couldn't figure out how tell him that so she packed her things in the middle of the night, hit the road, changed her phone, and blocked him on Facebook.
**This is the first time LIZ has mentioned social media. Interesting given the crap Maria keeps giving her about it!
Travis and fresh warm milk. What is up with it??
"Nice ring. Does it keep you from burning up in the daylight?"
David Anders introduces himself as Travis.
Just as a point of interest, Maria researched enough to find the bootmaker, figure out where he lives, but she didn't get his name???
Vampire Diaries/Originals reference.
Travis says he can't help with car stuff.
The milk was from a cow named Jennifer. He milked her for the last time today. (Creepy).
Weird contradictory statements from Travis:
"You're the best thing I've seen in a long time."....
"Mm, I'm sorry. So many customers and all their ugly faces get all sewn up and stitched together in my mind."
"Yeah, that's the woman that bought them boots. While back. Nice lady. She paid cash."
Second reference to animals behaving strangely during a meteor shower:
"Meteor shower's got my girls singing a bit off key tonight. Jennifer, she likes a good lullaby."
"Okay this guy is going to turn us into skin suits." (OG reference? Or just general sci-fi?)
Meteorchella at Planet 7 (Coachella-style party during meteor shower?) with any excuse to add sparkles!
Kyle says he's at Planet 7 because he's trying not to hang out with people from high school.
Isobel says she's trying to have fun without feeling like prey.
Don't think the details of Kyle/Isobel dancing matters all that much, but as a point of amusement I'll share that in the panel on Tuesday night they shared that Lily whispered something different to Trevino on every take...And they got progressively dirtier to the point that she finally felt like she crossed a line and profusely apologized. Also the lick was a Lily addition.
Max's confession about killing the drifter:
Kind of an interesting thing, comparing the first version of the drifter story in 1x06 to the 2x06 version. 1x06 was more dramatic, but 2x06 was more personal, I think.
1x06
"There are moments that define our lives, and there are moments that divide our lives. Incidents that separate us into two different people: who we were before and who we will be after. Forever…One day we were children and the next we were something else. I was a killer. Michael an accomplice. And Isobel...Isobel was broken."
2x06
"I killed a man once, on a camping trip. This drifter came out of nowhere, attacked Isobel. I wasn't even thinking. I killed him. With this. I arrest people who kill people. Most of them usually regret what they did. You know, you can just tell that they're forever broken. It's like a piece of them dies with their victims. So when I could feel that darkness, like I had to kill, I wanted Isobel to let me die. Because I couldn't risk hurting even one innocent person. Cause life just wouldn't be worth living."
Kind of an interesting narrative choice to confess to murder on a first date and then have the girl just brush it aside.
"No, it just hit me why you're so happy and idealistic, and I feel like an idiot. You are that way because you don't remember me. It's a clean slate. It's like when you got out of the pods with whatever memories you had erased it's probably for your own good."
"Last I heard you were the love of my life."
"Your cohorts, they left out some details. Cause if you had your memories I'm positive the worst thing that's ever happened to you is connected to me. And I can't bear the weight of making you remember that again."
**Note, second time this has been implied. Last time was by Michael in 1x08 regarding the alien symbol.
"...it's gotta have some connection to us right? Maybe it was something we saw somewhere before the crash."
"Sorry, are you, Max Evans, acknowledging that we must have had lives before we hatched out of the pods? You never want to talk about home."
"Hey, Roswell is home. Look, I'm sorry man. You're right. I've spent a lot of time not talking about where we come from or why we're here. Keep thinking I can pretend the past away and just be normal. But if Isobel's blackouts are some alien thing, then I need to know more. Okay, and this symbol? That's all I have to go on. I mean don't you think it's strange that we don't have any memories? I mean, no parents, no language. We weren't infants, man. We were seven."
"I just figured our memory faded. Over 50 years in those pods. Maybe it was just time. Or maybe whoever put us in those pods doesn't want us to remember."
Travis and Trevor's house...with added bonus of his ring that Alex comments on.
Leather ribbons/strips on the wall are for (from?) Hayley and Gertrude. More cows, I presume.
There's also a framed Purple Heart on the wall next to a photo of Travis?
"War really messes with a man's mind. Gets it all twisted up.
Timeline issue!! Alex says Mimi was missing for 3 weeks, but according to the clearly established timelines in 201-203 it was 4 weeks (or a month ish). I wrote about this here:
Maria put her jacket on a scarecrow to trick Travis. And did she leave it there?
(Answer: yes. She doesn't wear it for the rest of the episode. Smart of her, actually).
Michael sees Trevor come out of the house and is about to shoot him. Maria immediate knew it wasn't Travis and threw herself in front of Michael's gun
Trevor shoots Travis.
A bullet from the Crashdown shooting falls out of Max's journal. Does it look like it has blood on it? Or maybe just ketchup? If it's THE bullet it would make a lot of sense that he kept it hidden - evidence that Liz was shot. See this comparison between one of Wyatt's bullets in 1x02 and the one Max finds in 2x06
"Sorry about my twin here. He's had a rough go."
"Combat does not make you an axe murderer."
"No, it wasn't the combat. It was the R&D. If a paramilitary group ever asks you to take part in a study, you run the other way. He showed up a few weeks ago. Locked me up out back. Lucky y'all showed up when you did. Gave me a chance to escape."
R&D is a military acronym for Research and Development. (Aka...The Science.)
Priscilla - the cow Mimi's boots were made from.
This is literally the only direct information gained about the boots from this little sleuthing excursion.
Well, and that Mimi paid cash, which isn't like her.
Side note - I didn't really know what Paramilitary meant, so just in case any of you are also not good with military stuff, Paramilitary groups are like private armies. Like, I dunno, the private security firm that Jesse and Cam discussed in episode 2x04. 👀
Male doctor operating on Steph clearly states:
"All right we're approaching an arterial junction."
A female doctor replies and its less clear. What I hear is...Blood gasses are back? Anyone else hear something that makes more sense than that?
He replied something like...the stint through here
She says something about pH levels.
Max admits that he didn't know what would happen when he decided to bring Rosa back. He just wanted to fix the worst thing that ever happened to all of them.
"I can't believe we were Shyamalan'd by an evil twin."
I think Alex is referring to the twist ending? Or maybe just the insane axe murderer stuff.
M. Night Shyamalan wrote and directed the Sixth Sense, Signs, Split, etc…
During this scene is the first time we see Michael's tattoo… it's on his arm. I struggled with getting a cap of it, but I know there are gifs going around.
I had every intention of detailing the dialogue in the trailer scene, but before I could get to it, Carina posted the script, so I didn't think it was a good use of my time. Here's the script:
The next morning, Alex calls the Sheriff from outside the trailer for an update.
The Sheriff tells him that Travis and Trevor burned their home and ran...weren't caught by the sheriff. Which means we may not have seen the last of them.
The Spanish:
"Oh my God. Dios mio, Max. I took off your pants before I even said I love you. I'm some kind of zorra."
Dios mio basically is Oh My God! So Liz really was spiraling. She went, "Oh my God, Oh my God..."
Zorra - female version of Zorro. Basically a vixen, bitch, prostitute… the internet has all sorts of fun words that it translates into.
"I call this one Visceral Werewolf Part 2, dedicated to my boy Chee Chee, may he rest in peace."
Can we have more Bert? Bert is the best. Also kudos to his goofy friend who is wayyy too excited about this.
Forrest's slam poem:
Locked up for days,
Time slipping away,
On my knees I would pray to break free from this cage.
But bargaining for keys, you forget hidden fees.
And wishing for what you’re missing ain’t the same as living the dream.
And now I’m fighting to stay on this side of the cage.
Even though I know a part of me wishes I’d stayed.
Ain’t no prophet or rebel or savior or devil
Could have predicted, fought, cheated or leveled.
A life with potential that’s squandered,
A comfortable cell is a question I ponder.
Am I a free man or a prisoner wanderer?
Max's memory flash:
Young Max, chained to the ground as described in 2x03.
Max looks scared.
He's dressed all in white like the 1947 aliens after the crash (As shown in 1x12 and 2x03).
He's in a cave or something like a cave.
Holes in the wall are glowing an orangey red color.
The ceiling is like the alien ship material with the alien symbol in it.
A figure approaches from behind him, bends down, and places a hand on his shoulder.
It mirrors the figure approaching Nora in 2x03 and touching her shoulder before burning the military men...probably the same person? Noah? The stowaway? Someone new?
After the figure touches Max, he looks at the hand, and then a red glow lights his face.
MUSIC:
1. Xocoyotzin Herrera "Esperanza"
2. Jose Luis Lepe "La Carreta"
3. Eagle Eye Cherry "Save Tonight"
4. Lousiana Red "I Done Woke Up"
5. Whissell "Magnetic"
6. Stop Dead "Alchemistress Dance"
7. Orville Peck "Turn To Hate"
8. Kim Petras "Close Your Eyes"
9. Orville Peck "Queen Of The Rodeo"
10. Moontricks "The Fall"
11. Years & Years "Hypnotised"
12. Jordan Critz Feat. Birdtalker "Through Your Eyes"
This time I couldn't find the Whissell and Stop Dead tracks on spotify - however the Stop Dead track is referenced at being by Chelsea Dawn in the closed captions. Which I did find. Trying to confirm this. Let me know if anyone else had better luck!

ENGLISH TRANSLATION (by me)
LOSDELAMUSICA.COM 19/11/20
https://www.losdelamusica.com/articulo/conchita-wurst-me-encantaria-colaborar-con-ruth-lorenzo-amo-tanto-a-ruth-y-es-tan-gran-artista
Conchita Wurst: "I would love to collaborate with Ruth Lorenzo, I love Ruth so much and she is such a great artist!"
Conchita Wurst is back and she's never gone. It has changed and evolved since we heard “Rise like a Phoenix”. Now behind her is also Tom, who is embarking on all kinds of projects, like his recent collaboration with Ricky Merino on "Smalltown Boy".
We had the pleasure of interviewing Conchita and below we have his answers on his appearance at Eurovision, his new album, his new stage as presenter and some curiosities like his dreams to be realized.
After your stint and your victory at Eurovision in 2014, now that time has passed, how has that influenced your new music? Are you still seeing as much impact?
I believe that all musical development is an evolution and that everything that comes from the past influences the present and the future. Winning the Eurovision Song Contest and all the attention that came with it allowed me to live the life I live today. And I think I felt a lot of pressure at first to be perfect and do everything right, and now a few years later I feel more mature and genuine and I have no intention of thinking about what other people might think. I'm just doing my thing.
“Truth Over Magnitude”, T.O.M, what does this record mean to you? Why does it have the initials of your name (Tom)?
It means that I appreciate the truth and being myself more than the celebrity. You understand? Being famous or a celebrity is fun and all, but in the end it doesn't mean anything to me. It's no good if you don't live the life you want to live. "Truth Over Magnitude" is very personal, so it fits very good as an album name, and abbreviated as TOM, it also shows that this album is much more my personal self than Conchita.
Your projects do not end there. You recently launched a collaboration with Ricky Merino, how did you receive the proposal?
I love collaborating with other artists and seeing what we can do together. Ricky contacted me and sent me his version of "Smalltown Boy", which I loved. So of course I said yes when he asked me to record a reissue of the song together.
Is the career or the fame of an artist important for you to collaborate with him?
Obviously it's flattering that a famous person wants to collaborate, but again I think it's “Truth Over Magnitude”. I really wanna like what the other person is doing, I wanna like the voice and the whole vibe, that's more important than the fame. I would never work with a super famous person that I don't like. And I've worked with people in the past who weren't very well known and we still do duets and projects together.
Which other Spanish artist would you collaborate with?
I would love to collaborate with Ruth Lorenzo of course, I love Ruth so much and she is such a great artist! And I think there are so many talented Spanish artists that I don't even know! Send them all to me and we'll do something together! (Laughs)
You also sang with Anastacia, do you want to edit one of her songs in the studio and release it as a single? Which?
I would record all of Anastacia's songs with her! She's an amazing singer, such a kind and friendly person and I think we would have a great time together in the studio!
Why do you think we need an example like you to follow for the LGTBI + collective? Are you proud to be a reference?
I don't like to think of myself as a point of reference, honestly, and I've never seen myself as an example. I like to think of myself as a guy who does his thing. But yeah, sure, I know I'm an example in people's heads, not mine.
Hope a lot of people will see that you can do whatever you want as long as you don't hurt others. If you want to be a bearded woman, be a bearded woman. If you don't want to be the bearded lady anymore and want to make electronic music, then do it. You only have one life, and I hope that's what people see in me: the motivation to love their own life and their fantasies.
You also worked as a presenter this 2020 on German TV, what about the experience in 'Fame Maker'?
You know? I love hosting TV shows especially when they're live because it's so much more fun than pre-recording and recording stuff over and over again. And “Fame Maker” was the first live concert I did this year where there was a real audience, it was also very nice. Having instant reactions is very important, not only for me as a presenter, but also for the jury, the artists and the entire production team.
Being a program where you can see but not hear, does the image matter more or are there other deciding factors?
Seeing the artists without listening to them was really interesting and fun. Of course, it also makes you aware of how quickly we judge someone by seeing them for a few seconds. But you can't see the talent, you can't see people who can really sing and have a great voice.
You might be able to see if they have some experience on stage. But it was also the fun of this show, anyone could guess it and it was full of surprises all the time!
How important is the image to you?
Image in the sense of how you look, your hair, what you wear is of course very important in the entertainment industry. Not just in situations like a cover shoot or during a three minute live TV show.
I think everyone knows what it feels like to look in the mirror and say, “Wow! Today I love myself a lot ”, that gives you a lot of confidence. Likewise, we all have days when we feel like wearing jogging pants and not leaving the house. I think the appearance and image can help a lot with the confidence and the way other people notice you. Use them to your advantage!
And now that it seems like every dream is impossible, do you see yourself in the middle of the Super Bowl in a few years? You would like it?
Haha, they still haven't called me! Of course, the Super Bowl is one of the greatest entertainment shows in the world and every year we see how Americans are crazy about having a massive experience.
At the same time, I like to watch the Eurovision Song Contest because, if we're being honest, it's our European Super Bowl and we don't have to watch a lot of sports to finally enjoy it. (Laughs)
What can we expect from Wurst in the short term?
With the pandemic, it has been a very difficult year for artists around the world, and I fear it will still be some time before we can enjoy concerts with crowded audiences. The closures in Austria have made me think about things I would like to do in the future, I have been working on some creative projects and looking forward to sharing them with my fans, when possible.
But don't be fooled, of course I also spent days at home doing nothing and being lazy; I think it's also something that unites us all. It's also okay to be lazy sometimes.
Thank you very much for your closeness and for answering questions so extensively, Conchita. We wish you good luck and success.
Check out the latest single with Ricky Merino on 'Smalltown Boy' below, then one of Tom's most recent singles, 'Hit me':

I was thinking of a prompt where Holden doesn't eat when he's stressed out or exhausted; it's just the furthest thing from his mind. Bill notices one day and cooks him a well-balanced meal and makes him eat every bite. Holden is speechless because no one has ever been so thoughtful and kind toward him before.
This is so sweet 😭 I also relate to Holden in this aspect a lot because I tend to get very focused on what I’m doing (usually writing lol) and forget to eat for hours at a time. I love the concept of Bill thinking about this, and wanting to take care of him in the most basic, essential way possible. Thanks for the prompt!💕
By five-thirty, the BSU basement is deserted, and nearly everyone has gone home for the day. The single light at Holden’s desk casts muted, white light across the stacks of case files, and the crime scene photos arranged in a neat row at the top of his desk. He has two notebooks - one for victim observations, another for the preliminary profile - and both are filled with three pages of scribbled notes so far.
They’d arrived back from a two-week long consult in Texas early this morning, and he’d been greeted with a stack of new requests that had accumulated during their absence. Keen on tackling the mountain before it grows any larger, he’d buried his head in profiles for the better part of the day, stopping once to eat some chips from the vending machine when the growling in his stomach became too incessant. Several hours later, the thought of eating has tapered off to a dull hum in the back of his mind.
Holden is so engaged in the profile that he doesn’t hear Bill approach until a hand on his shoulder jolts him out of his pensive reverie.
“Shit, sorry. I didn’t mean to scare you.” Bill says as Holden leans back in his chair, clutching at his chest.
“It’s okay.”
“You almost ready to leave?” Bill asks, shooting a pointed glance at his watch. “It’s getting pretty late.”
“I’m almost done with this.”
“Are they expecting it back tonight?”
“No.”
“Then it can wait ‘til tomorrow.” Bill says, giving Holden’s shoulder a nudge. “Come on.”
“I’m this close.” Holden says, pinching less than a half inch of space between his thumb and forefinger.
“You haven’t moved from this desk all day.” Bill says, gently taking Holden’s pen out of his hand and setting it aside. “Have you eaten?”
Holden starts to nod, and Bill casts him a stern frown.
“Other than vending machine snacks?”
Holden purses his lips, gathering an irked glare. “No, but it’s fine. I’m not that hungry.”
Bill shakes his head, and silently begins putting all of the crime scene photos back in the folders.
“What do you think you’re doing?” Holden asks.
“Making you give yourself a break.” Bill says, snatching the two notebooks from in front of Holden and flipping them shut.
“I wasn’t done with that.”
“Holden.” Bill says, firmly, “This is not up for debate.”
Holden narrows his eyes. “Are you seriously pulling rank on me?”
“I’m saying this as someone who cares about you, not your superior, but if you want to see it that way, sure.”
Holden tries to hold onto his scowl as Bill tosses aside the folders, and pulls him up from his chair by his hands.
“We just had a very long two weeks.” Bill says, his voice softening as their eyes meet. “You need to give yourself a minute to breathe every once in a while.”
“Bill…” Holden says slowly, a coy smile creeping at the corner of his mouth. “Is this because we didn’t have time to have sex the whole time we were away?”
Bill sighs, his brow curling with an indignant frown. “No.”
“I’m horny, too, but we have a job to do.”
“Yeah, one you can’t do when you haven’t eaten all day. Now come on. I’m taking you home.”
Holden doesn’t protest again as Bill leads him out of the basement. As they walk across the parking lot to the car, the faint tremble in his knees and the ache in his stomach emerges from the hazy focus on work that he’d been clinging onto. He doesn’t want to admit that Bill is right, so he keeps his mouth shut as they speed down the highway towards home with his stomach growling the entire way.
Once they get home, Holden strips out of his work clothes and tosses them in the hamper while Bill goes into the kitchen. In his pajamas, he shuffles down the hallway to where Bill is rifling through the refrigerator and pulling out ingredients.
“We could just order out.” Holden says.
“What? Pizza?” Bill says, glancing past the refrigerator door with a disapproving glance. “I don’t think so. You need real food.”
“It is real food. It’s just not very healthy.”
“Exactly.”
Holden wanders further into the kitchen, scanning the items Bill has placed on the counter.
“What are you making?”
“You’ll see.”
“Can I help you?”
“No.” Bill says, “Go get a shower and lay down. I’ll get you when it’s ready.”
“That doesn’t seem fair.”
Bill pushes the refrigerator door shut, and leans over to plant a kiss on Holden’s protesting lips. “Let me do this. Okay?”
Holden holds up a defeated hand. “Okay. Fine.”
He retreats from the kitchen, and goes to the bathroom to get a shower like Bill had suggested. As he stands under the hot spray of the water and feels the tension begin to unwind from his shoulders, a wave of exhaustion washes over him. Every time they go on consult, they spend so much time on the ground that they don’t get very much sleep. He’s almost used to it by now, but it doesn’t stop him from feeling the impact - like some kind of bad hangover - whenever they get back into their own timezone.
By the time he finishes showering, a small whiff of the aromas wafting from the kitchen makes his mouth water and his empty stomach spasm with hunger. Tired and weak, he lays down on the couch, and lets his eyes slip shut.
It feels like the space of a second, but when Bill nudges him awake, Holden realizes that a half hour has passed.
“Come on.” Bill urges, dragging his docile limbs up from the couch, “Dinner’s ready.”
Holden leans into his arms, and rubs his hands over his face to dispel the haze of sleep. Stifling a yawn, he climbs up from the couch, and follows Bill into the kitchen.
“Wow, this looks amazing.” He murmurs, as Bill sits him down at the table in front of his plate filled with bread chicken, Spanish rice, and roasted broccoli.
Bill sits down next to him, and puts his arm across the back of Holden’s chair. “You wanna try to tell me again how you aren’t hungry?”
Holden casts him a limp smile as he picks up his fork and knife. The first bite of the chicken is juicy and savory, just enough salt against rosemary and thyme. A satisfied groan rises in the back of his throat as he chews and the flavor washes across his tongue and down into his empty stomach.
“Good?” Bill asks, bemused.
“So good.” Holden says, “When did you get to be such a good cook?”
“My mom taught me a few staples.”
“Mmm.” Holden mumbles as he tucks a bite of rice and broccoli in his mouth. “I’m impressed.”
“But are you hungry?”
Holden shoots him a begrudging glance. “Yes. Starving, if you have to know.”
Bill chuckles softly, and rubs a hand over his back. “That’s what I thought.”
Holden continues eating, wrapped up in the satisfying sensation of the savory meal hitting his stomach. He’s halfway through his plate before he realizes that Bill isn’t eating, only sitting at Holden’s side watching every bite go into his mouth.
“Aren’t you having some?” Holden asks, pausing to take a sip of water.
“In a minute.”
Holden blushes as Bill’s gaze clings to him, observing his unreserved chewing with a crooked smirk and a pleased glint in his eyes.
“Is this some new kink?” Holden murmurs, lowering his eyelashes. “Watching me eat?”
“No, I just want to see you taken care of. I have to do it since you won’t do it for yourself.”
Holden cheeks grow hotter, and he quickly tucks another piece of chicken in his mouth to rush past the sudden flash of vulnerability he feels under Bill’s scrutiny. They’ve exchanged raunchier words in the bedroom without him feeling this exposed; but no one has ever done something like this for him before - not just cooked him dinner, but made sure he ate every bite, and stuck to the task like it was some honor-bound duty.
“What’s the matter?” Bill asks softly as Holden lowers his head and rubs a quick hand over his eyes.
“Nothing.” Holden whispers, leaning over to hide his face in Bill’s shoulder. “Nothing. I just …. thank you. This tastes really good.”
“You’re welcome.” Bill says, curling his arm around Holden’s shoulder and giving it a squeeze.
Cradling Holden’s cheek in his other hand, he tilts his chin up into a soft kiss. His thumb strokes along Holden’s cheek and against the corner of his eye, smearing the faint remnants of moisture.
“I had no idea my cooking was that good.” He murmurs.
“It is.” Holden says, nudging another kiss against the corner of Bill’s mouth. “I think I want to marry you, and let you cook for me every night.”
Bill’s soft chuckle rumbles from deep in his chest. “Is that right?”
“Yes. And maybe breakfast too.”
“If you’re lucky.”
Holden smiles into another slow kiss before Bill pulls back, and waves a finger at his plate.
“Okay, keep going.” He urges. “I want to see you eat every bite.”
“Yes, sir.” Holden murmurs, sitting up straighter to take up his fork and knife again.
Bill’s hand absently rubs Holden’s shoulder as he finishes the rest of his food, and washes it down with a gulp of water.
“Ah, I’m stuffed now.” Holden says, leaning back and stretching his belly.
“Time for bed, I think.” Bill says, smiling fondly as Holden stifles a yawn. He rises from his chair, and urges Holden to his feet. “Come on, I’ll tuck you in.”
As soon as Holden crawls into bed, his exhaustion immediately overcomes him. He collapses into the familiar warmth of the sheets with a contented sigh.
Bill drags the covers over him, and sits down on the edge of the bed to nestle them under his chin.
“Aren’t you coming?” Holden murmurs, sleepily.
“In a bit.” Bill says, bending down to plant a kiss on his forehead. “Get some rest. You’ve earned it, okay?”
Holden nods, too tired to argue or agree. He’s already falling asleep by the time Bill turns off the bedside lamp, and drops one last kiss on his temple before sneaking toward the door.
“Bill?” Holden whispers into the darkness.
“Yeah?”
“I love you.”
“I love you, too. Go to sleep.”
The door eases shut, and Holden sinks down against the pillow with a happy hum. He never sleeps well when they’re out of town on consult. His mind is always racing with details of the case and plans of action, and he thinks he’ll never get a good night’s sleep again. It isn’t until he’s home that his body and brain realize again that he’s safe and cared for, that he can drift off to dreams without worrying about someone else dying. This time, it took less than a day for that relief to flood his veins, and he knows it didn’t have anything to do with the dent he’d valiantly tried to put in his overflowing paperwork today. With dinner warming his belly, Holden quickly falls asleep feeling happier than he’s ever been.

NOTE: Translator from Spanish.
A teenager committed suicide after a friend falsely reported him for abuse
It happened in Bariloche. The friend, a minor, admitted that she made the complaint in "a moment of anger and anger", and apologized.
An 18-year-old boy who had been accused of sexual abuse by his best friend - who later publicly apologized and admitted that it was a lie - committed suicide a week ago.
It all started at the beginning of December, when Agustín Muñoz , a native of Bariloche, participated in a march of women who, under the slogan "Never again alone, never quieter", gathered dozens of young people in the civic center to remember the women who died murdered and call for the end of abuses.
On that march a list of alleged abusers was read. It was at that time that her friend A. reported him for sexual abuse, leaving it in evidence in front of those present and later in a publication that went viral on social networks.
"In the middle of that march they shouted his name and he was stupefied." The first thing that hit him was to run home, he arrived that desperate day and told me what had happened to him, "said Silvina Castañeda, mother of Agustín, in dialogue with the Bariloche 2000 portal .
"When we went to look for the publication, it had already gone viral, I got in touch with this girl and reconsidered, we had a great affection with her and she apologized quickly to try to stop everything". In those messages her son's friend apologized and asked how they could fix it. "I do not want more quilombos," he wrote.
In her networks, Silvina published the chats with the young woman and the captures of the public request of apologies of A. "Today a girl scribbled my son on Instagram out of anger and now he does not know how to stop the ball," he wrote. "Playing with this is terrible, it is a mockery of all the victims of rape, abuse and humiliation . " He added: "And to you A. that we take care of you so much at home, I do not understand how you paid my son his friendship! Asking for forgiveness is not enough".
"It was a moment of anger and anger," the young woman wrote on her Instagram account, which is no longer active, to rectify her complaint . "I did not know how to see the limit of this." He also apologized "for defamation" and "for sending me more than once in his house flashing confidence." "You learn from mistakes and I sent them to you , " he concluded.
"We had a great affection with her and I think that was also the reason why she apologized quickly to try to stop everything," said Silvina, who also said that Agustín forgave A. "because they loved each other very much". However, the complaint did not stop viralizing and his son was depressed: "He was very bad, in bed, he did not want to eat".
On Sunday, December 23, in the same publication where she posted the messages of the young woman and the apologies, Silvina finally gave the news of her son's suicide. "My son died yesterday with his heart broken," he wrote.
This Saturday, the parents of Agustín published a video to request caution and containment regarding this type of denunciations.
"It is public knowledge that he took his life a few weeks ago ," said Silvina on the film. "Agustín is not there, it was a decision he made, drastic, drastic, he did not receive sufficient restraint, I ask him to become aware that we are playing with something very delicate."
"Here we are accompanied by young people who ask from the silence, from their company, to finish, to finish these escraches that do not work , " he said.
He concluded: "As a mother, as a mother, accompanied by her father, I urge you to take care of our children, to take care of our children because there can not be an Agustín more."
--------------------
Personally I think it's a damn shame. This is the same story has been warned about over and over again. It doesn't matter if it's rare or not. Even that rare exception is still an innocent alive that has been destroyed.
Also it wasn't no convoluted Illuminati-ish anti-man conspiracy.
It was just a simple moment of carelessness. She's simply acted without thinking and now her friend is dead.
Once the trigger has been pulled on a false accusation it is impossible to put the bullet in the gun.
I'll say it again. Even if what happened to this young man is indeed rare what happens is STILL UNACCEPTABLE !
The ends do not justify the means and this collateral damage mentality needs to end.
