all this and i forgot to say im still thinking about lake nowhere and think it's honestly a masterful homage to schlocky slashers
#funny timing how close i watched it to blood of the tribades — which also is a homage to retrohorror but doesn't stick the landing#they drink from different sources and i dont have as much repertoire with slashers than vampires but it's fair to compare them imo#i mean i have watched a fair amount of slashers (and giallo) but i dont feel like i know them as intimately#still the passion of lake nowhere shows through#i could honestly even lightly compare it to x. that'd be less fair to x however
