overpacks. has a checked luggage just barely within weight parameters, as well as a carry-on AND a backpack. he packs for every scenario, every weather type, every activity

he's the one that bought everybody's ticket and holds onto them for safekeeping. he's also got one of those airline SkyMile credit cards, so he got everyone a pretty good deal regarding expenses!

brought one of those neck pillows since he gets stiff pretty easily when sitting down for too long. also brought one of those cooling eye masks and comfy socks. bro is the plane equivalent of a passenger princess

Your phone buzzes on the bed. The drone is muffled slightly by the pillow it’s under. You finish fixing your outfit in the mirror and sigh. 

The material was ever so slightly wrong today. Normally it was fine, but now the feel of it just irritated you. But this was the seventh outfit you’d tried on and honestly if you were going to make it to the restaurant by 8pm, even with Jake’s ingenious driving, you had to leave now. 

You pick up your phone, glancing at the screen as you unlock it. 

One message. 

From one of your friends you were meeting up with. Probably something along the lines of ‘see everyone soon’. Usually you were excited to see them. They were some of your oldest and dearest friends, and you loved their company. But today it just felt off. Getting dressed up and going out. Eating at a semi expensive (for your budget anyway) restaurant that you didn’t even like that much. Putting on your ‘social interaction face’. It all just seems far too exhausting. 

Your eyes widened as you read the messages on the group chat. 

‘Can’t make it, stupid traffic at the tunnel! Been stuck for 50 mins and haven’t moved!’

‘I can’t either, babysitter fell through!’

‘So sorry everyone, maybe it’s for the best, I’ve got a horrible headache and was gonna power through, but maybe it’s best if we reschedule?’

The last message had you at-ted. 

‘It’s that okay with you? Sorry you let you down! <3’

Relief floods your veins and you hastily type a, ‘no worries, let’s reschedule’, adding several happy face emojis out of paranoia that your message could be misread, before you wish everyone well and to have a good evening. 

Jake hears you throw your bedroom door open, but doesn’t glance up from where he’s slouched over your armchair reading. It’s one of those bodice-ripping paperbacks from the 80s with the fabulously illustrated covers. Jake’s guilty pleasure. While he knows that Marc and Steven wouldn’t care, and most likely wouldn’t be bothered at all by his reading choices, he also very much does not want them to know. A feeling he’s sure he should try to unpack at some point.

Jake didn’t even flinch, half absorbed in his book and half used to your dramatic flare.

“Oh?” He glanced up at you and paused, a small frown of interest crossing his face. “You don’t have a top on.” 

“Exceptional observation skills Lockey.” 

He smirks. 

“Guess what?” 

“You’re embracing a new life as a nudist?” 

“The meal’s cancelled.” 

“What?” 

“The meal’s cancelled. You know cancelled, as in not happening.” You grin.

He gives you a playful look and swats your upper arm softly with his book. (His middle finger pressed inside to keep his page.) “I know what cancelled means, why?”

“Traffic, no babysitter, and headache.” You list the reasons as you count them on your hand excitedly. 

He smiles. “Really weren’t feeling it today were you?”

“How could you tell?” You say playfully. 

“Well, you kicking the door open to tell me was a good give away.”

You laugh.

“Plus, you really were leaving it pretty fine to get there on time.” He slips his bookmark between the pages and puts the book down on the floor before inching forward, he wraps his arms around your waist and gently pulls you into his lap, giving you plenty of time to step back if you wanted to. “I know how much being late makes you anxious.” 

You snuggle up to him, wrapping your own arms around his shoulders and kissing his cheek. His day old stubble rubs against your skin. But this sensation is comforting. Like home. 

“So you letting it get to this time without us going, or without you telling me off for reading instead of putting my shoes on.” 

“I don’t tell you off.” You grumble, your words muffled by how your mouth is pressed against his neck. 

Jake laughs. “Playfully.”

You tut affectionately. “Alright, playfully.” You adjust your position on his lap, getting comfortable. 

“So, what do you want to do tonight?” He presses a light kiss to your temple.

“Hmm, how about… pizza and you can read some of your smutty book to me?” 

He laughs again and kisses your lips. “Sounds good.”

Jesus fucking Christ, guys. What the hell??? So my little inspiration post for this fic popped off which is crazyyy! We are now 202 birdwatchers! THANK YOU SO MUCH!

A little disclaimer for this fic though: Uni has just started, meaning that my spare time isn't as much as it used to be. Because of this it'll take significantly longer for me to write fics I'm actually proud of and want to be read by you guys, so please bear with me, alright?

I made this fic a multi chapter one because I have too many fun ideas AND most importantly to relieve some pressure off myself.

So, I know it’s kind of nerdy for My Hero Academia to make this research but I’m being very curious about UA Teaching Staff. According to translations of class 1-A school schedule (made by aitaikimochi) we have at least 7 lessons of English at one studying week (6 days) for only one class.

So, if we consider Yamada Hizashi aka Present Mic working as an only teacher for only HERO COURSE which are 6 classes with 120 students (more or less depending on how many students Aizawa or other teacher expelled) with DIFFERENT types of difficulty (English and English 1), and plus, we assume that he teaches all 6 classes for 7 lessons a week, it means 42 lessons at week. The lessons long for 50 minutes (50 mins x 7 lessons = 350 mins or ~5,8 hours a day). It results that he works for 35 hours per week. But okey, teachers need to have lunch, so he takes a 50 mins to eat. But do not forget hours to check students’ works, mark them, write reports on all his students, add out-of-school schoolwork and etc. Approximately, he works for 38-40 hours at week. That all means he practically lives at UA for 6 days.

The question is how he works at Radio Station at Friday (if he works there only at Friday!) and patrolling as limelight hero, having interviews, podcasts and other media activities?

All these calculations cover his job as an ONLY and ONLY English teacher for ONLY Hero Course. He physically cannot work as English teacher for other Courses.

So it means we have a LOT more staff at UA. And if we assume that we need like 4 teachers (1 for each course), it still too much because Hizashi teaches for only 6 classes, and there like 9 classes each other Course (and it’s like 53 hours per week) — it’s fucking impossible. So we need at least 6 teachers only to teach ENGLISH. Did you count Mathematics? It’s 8 classes for class 1-A on week. And I don’t think that Ectoplasm really teaches that much. And do not forget about Homeroom teachers (we need 33 Homeroom teachers, but ok they are working as subject teachers too).

So let’s count together how many teachers are actually working at UA. And do not forget to add teacher’s assistants. It’s so crazy.

(There’s no way UA is a private school without any government help, because school would go broke only on teachers :D )

a/n— i love this trend sm, this is just in my opinion so uhm, yea also this is my take on the "okokok" and "lalala" trend. wrote this in like 50 mins i think cuz i was scrolling through tiktok and all to get some info/ideas.

✧ they're an "okokokok" type of person. (slightly) introverted and calm. they don't mind listening to you rambling, if anything, they love it! if you ever stopped talking because you thought they weren't listening or anything, they would immediately pause what they were doing, their face softening. ✧ they would ask if everything is alright and/or tell you continue. if you don't, they would start with asking what happened after where you stopped and of course, your eyes light up and you continue telling your story, rambling about what happened that day, what you felt and etc.

✧ or, alternatively, you could be rambling about your day, something that happened significantly, and he would be staring lovingly at you, his eyes boring into yours, watching as you talked with your hands... he may or may not have been paying attention to your words, rather, your adorable face—you cheeks began to warm under his intense gaze. and so you stop talking because your brain can't literally function. and he may or may not have teased you about it &lt;3

✧ just because they rather listen to you doesn't mean he doesn't chime in or add comments there and then. he also responds and might even talk more than you, but he still loves to listen to you.

✧ they're logical and serious. never the one to mess around in public (only with you privately). if you ever feel shy to ask for food or anything he's already asking it for you (ugh my heart)

✧ he's exceedingly chill. could care less about other people OR care about them but only thing for sure is that he cares about you more.

✧ he's your "lalala" to your "okokok"/"lalala", you two are like THE duo!!!! although they do speak more than listening, he will always be there to listen and help you through your hard times!!! their first thoughts is to make you laugh, of course.

✧ just like the "okokok" type of person, if you're too shy to ask for food or something that you really like he's already up and going to the counter AND getting what you want :))

✧ they overthink everything like!! 24/7!! and may be a hopeless romantic!!! i can see them being very caring and loving <33 rambles about anything you could possibly imagine.

In a post you reblogged, it said "we could lose Monkey Wrench already if not enough eyeballs get on it."

Does that mean you would halt production on the show entirely if views don't pick up? Or would you just have to release episodes at a slower pace?

There are two contingency plans I have set up in case things still don't pick up;

1 - We release eps over a much longer period. Like with Ep 2, I only had money for our voice actors, sfx and music. I did about 95% of the animation (with Greg and Wright pitching in because they're great folks) that 18 min ep took around 7-8 months solo (on top of doing NDA freelance work). The only reason ep 3 is coming out so fast after 2 is that we actually had the money saved up from merch sales and new patreon pledges to be able to hire 50+ people to be able to make it.

2 - We go the animatic route. And honestly I'm really favoring this one as I'd only have to animate the really fun parts and everything else can be keyframes, similar to those simpson/MW shit post vids I posted a while ago. It also harkens back to my old OCT days. Mmm the nostalgia~ This method is much more affordable (we'd still have voices and music), I can tell this story faster and move onto the other two stories I'm working with on the side.

Indie animation is brutally expensive and it really does suck that fans have to foot the bill with either patreon, merch purchases or just showing it around. Youtube ad rev is dirt nowadays and I'm not resorting to sponsorships as that'd completely deflate and devalue what we're trying to do. I have been considering doing a kickstarter type thing for ep 4, like what the good folks at Lackadaisy did, though I'm doubtful we could raise the $150k needed for one 25-30 minute episode. Could be worth the risk, though, we'll see.

This stupid story will be told one way or another! Either way, at the end of the day this IS just a cartoon show. We're not curing cancer or anything, it ain't that serious.

1 euro every 40 mins-1 hour of footage to go through, which is what I call a 'footage fee' (why? because capping 20 episodes to get 500 icons due to you having specific requests on which aesthetic you want is far more time consuming from capping 5 episodes to get you 500 icons because you want all sorts of shots and expressions and actions), then:

TYPE 1: unedited square/rectangular icons: 2 euros every 100 (0,02 per icon)

edited square/rectangular icons: 3 euros every 100 (0,03 per icon)

TYPE 2: edited square/rect. ones with ONE type of border: 4 euros every 100 (note that borders means anything from lines to glowing to shadows to dots and effects)

TYPE 3: edited square/rect. ones with max 2 borders or TYPE 4: edited icons that aren't squares or rectangles, but no borders: both are 5 euros every 100 if the type 4 are unedited, 4.5 euros every 100

TYPE 5: non-squares but they get one border: 6 euros every 100 but 30% discount on the footage fee

TYPE 6: any shape of icon with multiple borders: 7 euros but 50% discount on the footage fee

TYPE 7: the extra customizable icons with blockquotes or a background and borders, which we'll need to discuss (and obviously my backgrounds tend to be colorful like the rest of what I do): 8 euros every 100, but footage fee starts after 10 hours and is 50% off.

Also also. Speirs definitely would've been in the thick of it during that tense scene in Bastogne where Roe was ordered to wait back while we hear men being shot in the distance. He does not give a fuuuck. Roe is like. an angel of mercy. Telling dying men they're gonna be OK, it's not that bad, or sharing coffee & chocolate during downtime. Speirs is like. an angel of death. in that u think ur approaching death, gunfire everywhere, bleeding out, blacking out. & then u see Speirs looming over u lol

I feel he'd be the type u want around when the going gets tough (esp bc his light-fingered tendencies would translate to medic!Speirs miraculously always having whatever he needs on hand. AU where Roe finds his scissors 3 mins into the episode bc he asks Speirs, who has. well. enough pairs lol) BUT. terrible bedside manner 😅 although that could improve over the course of the campaign idk

THE CO-MEDICS SPEIRSROE DYNAMIC WOULD HAVE TRUELY BE SOMETHING ELSE, THAT STUFF COULD HAVE GENERATED MYTHS

You get injured in easy company and there starts a 50/50 on who's gonna come to the rescue

ALSO THE POINT YOU MADE ABOUT HIM BEING SOME SORT OF ANGEL OF DEATH. YES. Even tho him being there would actually mean you've got a chance of making it out alive, since he's a medic, he would definitely still be associated with an omen of death

Also on the topic of his kleptomaniac tendencies resulting in him having scissors, i raise you the birth of so many damn myths about how all the medic supplies Speirs has were pried from the bodies of dead Germans, not to mention what they'd say about how he gets plasma

Allover I think the comfort you could find in Speirs being your medic definitely wouldn't come from his demeanor, but rather from his extreme reliability. Like you're on the ground behind German lines but this mf could come and get you (btw with this I'm NOT saying Roe isn't reliable/less reliable, we love doc in this house, he's perfect <33)

Lastly, Speirs gentle hand caressing is the equivalent to Roe's snap at Winters and Welsh, and on this topic I think he would kinda soften towards the end of the war and end up being able to provide a fraction of the same comfort Roe does

-- Favorite singer is Nat Cole King, I mean like have yall heard him. Francis seems like he would like his tone of voice and the loving nature of his songs. This remind him of Anastasha, mostly and his songs are very easy to play on His piano. (yes, I did sit down for like 45 mins listening to different artist in the 40s, 50s, and whatnot.)

-- Grew up a middle child, which is why he's so reserved and quiet. Doesn't really like the spotlight on him and lives his quaint life by himself satisfied.

-- Favorite color is scarlet, this is his favorite color because of strawberries, the color itself reminds him of his mother's garden, and the sweet smell the berries gave off during the summer.

-- favorite fruit is strawberries, he likes the sweet taste they give off, and his mother had a small garden full of strawberries before she died. (They were the sweet Charlie ones.)

-- His favorite song is, 'Pretty Little Angel Eyes' by Curtis Lee, which was the song playing in the background when Nacha told him she was pregnant. And was also played throughout Nacha's pregnancy, and in the hospital room, while Francis held her hand while she pushed Anastacha out.

-- He does call Anastasia "Ana" for short, which she doesn't mind unless someone else does that not Francis, she even got snappy at Nacha for calling her that.

-- Took piano lessons as a child. Still has that skill but typically doesn't like to flaunt. Has a humble old piano in his apartment he plays but very softly to not disturb his neighbors. (My turn: Anastasha, also likes listening to him play songs on it, usually falling asleep to them.)

-- Big softie for animals, when he does his milkman runs around the block, he definitely pets the local strays and feeds them spare crackers he may have packed for lunch. He wishes he could keep one but doesn’t really have the time and plus the apartment complex doesn’t allow pets because of doppel precautions! (I'm ignoring this whole sentence.)

-- Hes a bit (Very) messy. but if he's not sleeping throughout the day, he definitely makes an effort in cleaning his place up and making a proper meal for himself. On overwhelming workdays though, his clothes are scattered everywhere and it's quick and easy meals for dinner. (My turn: I Think Francis is honestly very messy, Anastasha helping clean up bit when he has her over. the only thing that would be clean is her room, and his bedroom wouldn't be as dirty but still dirty as the rest of the apartment.)

-- Barely socializes with neighbors. He isn't necessarily buddy-buddy with any of his neighbors, however, there is some acquaintance with Angus and Izaack (mainly because of their extroverted personalities, they must be known by everyone in the complex!). -- Super shy about physical affection or any type of affection. It would take a good while for him to make any sort of first move. He would do a little secret admiring from afar just to warm up to it. Nothing too intense. Consider leaving a rose or a nice compliment on the front desk while no one is looking. Definitely had to be hyped up by Isaack to go through with it.

ok so ive been making this 1/4 bjd of an oc (the succubus i posted a while ago) as a side hobby lately. ill post pictures once i finish everything, but basically what happened was i needed to spray seal all the unstrung parts after blushing them. so i was taking a bunch of wooden kebab skewers and stabbing them into a cardboard box to hold up the parts in the air. (that way i can spray them while holding the skewers, not touching the sealant & have them dry in the air etc etc.) well of course while stabbing them into the box i got a little careless and did it with my arm over the previous skewers andddd... bam theres a skewer stuck in my hand! thank god it didnt go all the way through but it was about 1-2cm in and after pulling it out i had this huge hole in my right hand lol! afterwards (and still kinda now) I can't put much strength into it and it hurts if I do too much. i probably hit a nerve or something!

its crazy though bc a ton of other bad stuff happened right after (that's way too much to talk abt) but i ended up having to get IV's in both my wrists at the EC which made my hands even more unusable 😔 I'm doing way better now but bc of all that, the skewer incident really became the least of my worries!

I am always a promoter of jojo!!!!! its so funny you say that though, because i had the exact same interaction w my best friend who's also a lesbian. (she was the one i spent 50 mins in voice notes explaining the plot of part 4 just with the change that kira's a lesbian now LOL) if u love yuri and wanna get into jojo i STRONGLY recommend part 6!! its prison lesbians!! you really don't need to watch the previous parts to watch it, most of everything u can pick up on by context clues. it's my absolute favorite part, and the way women are written in it is really good!! i got my friend on it and she loves it despite knowing nothing of jojo before.

i love jojo so much but i must say that especially in the early parts, the women are either nonexistent or badly written. its only when you get to part 6 that they get fully fleshed out (and really well i gotta add)! but even despite that i really really love jojo for all that it is!! its such a unique show and you get so many unique and interesting moments that u really can't see anywhere else. i mean who else has a plotline where u have to fight vincent van goh made from a stand called bohemian rhapsody!? its crazy! (and ofc just know that jojo is a fighting show first n foremost, so while there can be some subcontext that makes people ship characters, there's not that much actual romance, much less queer romance between characters to speak of ☝😌)

i would definitely recommend part 6 if you wanna see strong, complex female characters with an amazing plotline. and if u like mystery with a patrick bateman-type villain, part 4 is still really fun to watch (ESPECIALLY if you watch it while imagining kira as a lesbian <33 )

Ren: He literally LOVES HIS FRIENDS it's so insane like HE CAN IMAGINE MARRYONG ANY OF THEM even if it's a joke he can see himself married to his friends and he denies godhood for them and for everyone. He gets beaten up and thrown around by cops for his friends. I don't think he'd ever accept the false reality in 3rd Sem because he loves his friends so much and if he gave them agency once he will do it 100 times over.

Morgana: kitty kat :3 I like how he learns to put his ego aside throughout the story and accepts the fact that he Does need the thieves. I love the scene where he admits that the PTs are his place to belong. He's such a hardass for most of the game but really he's just a little guy. "tch, whatever, you guys are the only idiots who wanna keep me around! You'd be nothing without me. Now let's go get a celebration dinner we need refreshments"

Ryuji: HE'S SO SWEET AND KIND!!! HE LOVES HIS MOM!! HE'S A TRUE PUNK!!! he's the coolest mf the thieves have around he's legit THE reason the thieves exist in the first place. If it wasn't for him yelling out Kamoshida's codewords no one would've met eachother. He's willing to put himself on the line for his friends because he CARES he cares about everyone. He's not Ren's kind of selfless but he's his OWN kinda selfless and I love him for it.

She loves people so strongly that it saves them. She's headstrong and badass, and despite it all she wants to reclaim what was stolen from her. Sure, Atlus fumbled the bag with her writing, but her wish to take back her femininity and use it as her weapon? So real. Ann I love you so much

Yusuke: MY GUY!!!!!! Unironically, I love how weird he is. That's the face of a guy who is unafraid to be himself. Granted, all the thieves learn to be so, but him? He's literally called weird and eccentric, sometimes to his face, but he just keeps at it! He loves the arts, he loves the world, he is so in love with Life and the people in it he wants to capture it all on paper. He's curtsy, he's flamboyant, he's eccentric, he's weird, and he wears it all with a badge of honour. He's also so pretty like have you SEEN him

Makoto: I really like how she breaks free from those she used to please. Her awakening is one of the most cathartic of the game for this reason. Her biker outfit is fantastic for her, it's legit the coolest fucking thing. BUT ALSO! As an ex-people-pleaser myself, learning and internalizing the fact that you owe Nothing to no one at all does feel like that yk? "Makoto the sycophant is gone" is a raw fucking line for her and I love it. She isn't my favourite, but god damn it she's a certified Cool Cat

Futaba: HER. God where do I begin. Her quick wit, her intelligence, her hacking prowess. Her palace resonates with me a lot (I mean, who wouldn't in this day and age?). Being so deep in a hole that you doom yourself to die in it because you think you deserve it. But the way she handles it? Even if the thieves did part of the work (at her behest), ultimately SHE'S the one in power. SHE'S the one in control. And the way she learns that? WHEN she learns that? The whole conversation with her shadow before the bossfight is so fucking cool. The way she feels indignated, her shadow telling her to, indeed, Be Fucking Upset that these nobodies treated her like crap, validates her anger, and just. "No matter what you say to me, I will LIVE!" is probably my favourite line from the whole game hands down. It means a lot to me, Futaba herself means a lot to me, I love her, I admire her, she's so awesome

Haru: HER REBELLION!!!! The way she stands up to her dad is so amazing. I wish the game had given her the spotlight before the bossfight, but what we got was so good (if insufficient) I loved it. Important to mention, also, the fact that she uses her kindness as her weapon. Have you seen how she treats Akechi? She's respectful, curt, she's one of the first to say he should join them in the fight against Shido. She may hate him, but she remains calm. She remains kind. Akechi probably thinks she hates him and should, thus, treat him wrongly. But no, she is kind. Anyway Akechi aside I love her PT aesthetic she's fuckin ROCKING that hat with the vulture feather. I love her.

Akechi: he's so well written that as much as I want to hate him i cannot. His writing dude. He's made me cry. He's made me want to rip my screen apart. He's such a character. I love how his desire for freedom overtakes so much of the narrative. Think about it: he goes along with the Hitman business, with the murders, with shooting Okumura, with shooting his rival best friend Ren, all because he wants to be FREE. He wanted his MOTHER to be free, or whatever remained of her. He wanted to avenge her, to avenge himself, even if it meant dying he, wanted to have Something for himself. He wanted to, for the first time in years, make a Choice. A choice that Mattered. These ideals, while selfish in execution, are what makes him murder, attempt to murder, and refuse the fake reality in the third semester. Fuck being happy, he wants to be Free.

SUMIRE: oh my god. Ohhh Jesus fuck. Ohhhh. My god. Oghf god. I know I'll write a manuscript for just her but I WISH i finished royal myself. I've avoided as much dialogue as possible to get the gut punch myself on my own, I only got to the Rumi parts of Maruki's palace but that's IT. I'm starved. I need to finish Royal.

Sumire. Where do I even start. She feels so real to me...The jealousy, the self-hatred, the longing to be anybody but yourself to be liked, the admiration and clingyness towards the first person who wishes to lend you a hand (+ it becoming so strong you almost build your own self around them), the disdain towards superficial words of support, the loneliness she feels towards her emotions ("you'll never understand how I feel!"), the inferiority complex, the stubbornness to fight for a delusion you upheld for so long because of reality being so frightening to face alone. Even if Atlus fumbled the bag with her too, in all honesty, being 16 is just. Like that. I get it.

Sumire is far too kind to those who don't deserve it. But she isn't stupid, she KNOWS a bitch when she sees one and honestly? It's a crime how she didn't get to have a 1 on 1 with Maruki. Even if she's the one who sked for it, He ruined her. She deserved to be more upset with him, i don't care what anyone says.

Also, it's amazing how high her confidence can go. During her fake awakening, "Kasumi" decides she's had enough of people stepping over her, treating her like a failure. She reminds the world that "I am Kasumi Yoshizawa!" and that she's willing to fight for her place in this world. Her rebellion surges from her wish to not be shoved aside and pupettered anymore, not be treated as a gossip-target or a tool for good rep, but as a person. Sumire, on the other hand, fights to learn this herself. She fights to believe this, to drill it into herself that Sumire Yoshizawa isn't worth being forgotten about. She fights on to believe that Sumire Yoshizawa is worth more than what her brain believes.

But in the end, both versions of herself wish for the same thing: to live. To live proud, stand tall, to remind the world that Yoshizawa isn't just a pretty name on a golden trophy, a tag on a wooden toy, or the name of a science experiment. To remind all of them and herself that Sumire Yoshizawa is a name worth fighting for. And a name she won't forget ever again.

In my fish room, I use two types of racks:

Heavy-duty racks for larger tanks (from B&Q in the UK, but similar options are available in all countries) and compact racks for smaller setups like 6.6-gallon tanks & shrimp jars (from Amazon).

Both are simple, cheap storage racks!

Rack Material

Stainless steel: Rust & mold resistant = my top choice.

Wood: Works well but depends on the build quality.

Plastic: ❌ Too flimsy from what i’ve seen.

Stick with stainless steel or wood for durability and peace of mind.

Shelf Material

Many racks come with MDF shelves, but MDF can warp when wet.

Replace MDF with plywood for better water resistance.

OR be extra careful during water changes to avoid spills! 🌊

Size Your Shelves Measure your tanks and add 50% more space for tools, accessories, etc. Example: A 100x50 cm tank = a 150x75 cm shelf.

This ensures everything fits comfortably and makes maintenance easier! 🛠️

Load Capacity

Double the volume of your tank (in liters) and ensure the rack supports that weight (in kg).

Example: A 25L tank needs a rack with a 50kg capacity.

This accounts for water, substrate, fish, and equipment.

Rack Placement

Choose a strong, level floor (concrete is ideal).

Avoid windows to prevent algae (use blackout curtains if needed).

Ensure access to a power supply or use plug extenders.

Strategic placement = fewer problems later!

Assembling the Rack

Follow the manual! Most modern racks are tool-free & quick to assemble.

Time yourself—it took me <20 mins to build one for my smaller tanks.

-RANDOM RANDOMING:- Bad part: Now I always try to keep in mind the worst case scenario for anything so I'm somewhat prepared for it when it hits, leads to a lot over overthinking. I tried to sleep at 22:50ish and got into a dream in 5 minutes. I lived a whole new life in the dream and it wasn't a good one. It was me being extremely introverted since my childhood days and managed to make almost no friends, the only loved ones in my life were my grandma, my parents. Then it turns out I've been having a bad day(in the dream) and then I find myself in a car with all my loved ones. We then get into a car crash which kills everyone but me. OFC this wakes me up. Only 50 mins or so have passed(23:40ish). I then avoid sleeping for a bit and sleep early in the morning. Fucking bullshit , the dream resumes from where it ended. I receive the insurance money the next day of the funeral. Then I meet relatives who I can already imagine are drooling after the money. After this it keeps skipping to 1 month later, 3 months later, 6 months later, 1 year later and 3 years later. All the while I've developed trust issues and have not been able to form any new bonds and am basically alone. Finally one day I find a girl who I immediately click with (not romantically btw, just as a good friend and get into her circle too). I finally want to live and be happy, I've got good company, I've started doing a lot better financially too so don't have to rely on the insurance money. Ig it's only a few days since I've met them. Then when I'm on my way back home in my car, happy about how life has changed and overjoyed about my new will to live.... I get into a fucking lethal accident. I don't know who or which car hit me or how I died cause I instantly woke up after that. It took me another 20 mins to process this shit. Fuck them goddamn dreams and people wonder why I'm awake all night. Still I decided to be cheerful with a simple game of luck. I've got around 47 different types of songs all in one playlist and named it 'Fluctuations'. I spot 'Attention' by Charlie Puth in the middle of the playlist. I go, "I'll click 'Shuffle Play' and if that song plays, things will get worse today, if it's any other songs I'll do my best to cheer up." I click 'Shuffle Play' and ISTG it plays 'Attention' by Charlie Puth. WHAT ARE THE FUCKING CHANCES, I'll tell you it's 2.0833% , that how much luck was required to fuck me over. Then I proceeded to go to my classes and meet with friend, turns out she's in the next class and as I'm about to enter the class I get a full on flashback of the dream which makes me wanna not enter the class anymore cause it's not really pleasant. And turns out the universe is not done fucking me. When I reached the centre the lyrics were , "Cause every time I open up, it hurts So I'm never gonna get too close to you Even when I mean the most to you In case you go and leave me in the dirt" When I'm about to enter the door and the flashback plays it went; "But I'm just a tourist to you" and it was the end of the song. This song played after the above one. I decide to shuffle I decide to start the playlist again and start walking to my class and take some time off instead and this fucking stroke of luck , MY FUCKING GOD.... It goes, "I'm way too good at goodbyes (I'm way too good at goodbyes) No way that you'll see me cry (no way that you'll see me cry)" I almost lost my last shred of sanity.
