Why did you choose your URL? My IRL nickname is Mel and my middle initial is C. Combined, it sounds like Mel-sie. Those of you that are pronouncing it with a hard S are technically wrong but that’s okay. I think most of you probably imagine it as Mel-Zee at this point. 😂

How long have you been on Tumblr? I've had this specific Simblr account since May 22nd 2020, so almost two years now. I had a personal trash tumblr before that I’ve since abandoned. I’m sure it’s been over five years since I originally joined the platform.

Why did you start your blog in the first place? I wanted to share my sims content, write stories and meet other simmers. Mostly I wanted a place to dump all of my sims screenshots.

Why did you choose your icon/pfp? I really need to update it since it isn’t autumn anymore... but Winona is one of my favorite sims and I thought an orange/autumn theme would look cute. That was last September.

So far my favorite sim to date, Lila! She moved to the city with her high school best friend, Luka Crowe.

Didn’t have much CC yet when I made them so yeah, same clothes for everyone lol

It didn’t really take that long until they ended up falling for each other. Though, being new to the city and not really knowing anybody, they ended up seeking comfort from each other.

After a couple of months living together, Lila ended up getting pregnant with Luka’s child.

Luka’s an excited father to be!

They can’t get enough of each other.

While they were attending the festival, this happened between Lila and Frost! She was already in her 2nd trimester.

And the affair continued when he visited Lila in the guise of helping her buy toys for their kid with Luka unaware of what’s happening under his nose.

And yeah, to her surprise (and mine tbh!!) Lila and Luka are expecting twins!! But more importantly.. they seem to have a spark between them. 

Also. She also had a one night stand with Tom Peeping LOL

Fast forward to a couple of months later, Lila, in a bid to start fresh and after giving birth to the twins, had asked Luka to move to the countryside. So cue family photo! (fail! fam photo bc there’s white stuff -LOL- that I didn’t know how to remove even though she showered already. tip: to remove it, just use the sink to wash the sim’s face!) Anyway, poses are fun but they take lots of time to set up!

For what it’s worth Lila really was trying to change being more hands-on with the twins and nightly she would read one of the kids to sleep along with Luka.

The twins (who are default blonds when wearing their other outfits besides the everyday option) and their grown dog. They all seem to be settling down alright, and Lila enjoys cooing and fussing over them, particularly her son.

Trouble is.. Frost had found Lila once again. He had invited her to meet up and ‘talk’ things over but then...

The talk ended in woohoo. 

That was the end of that. Or so Lila thought. After two months of not getting her period, she took a pregnancy test and found out that she was with child again. To cover up her tracks, she ended up sleeping with Luka who was still unaware of her infidelity.

They’re quite an active couple so he didn’t think it was weird at all for Lila to be so proactive.

After a late night, they ended up chatting and talking about their kids and other random stuff.

Riddled with guilt, Lila called up Frost as she has already made up her mind: She was choosing Lukas over him.

Before she could speak though, Frost had wrapped his arms around her and they ended up having one last tryst.

after breaking up they still had these smirky faces on which I thought was funny!!

... but yeah, I probably won’t be able to resist drama and I think once Frost realises that the kids are his, he’s bound to drop by to visit his children.

Lila telling Luka that they’re expecting another bundle(s because surprise! Twins again! I didn’t really use any cheats - not that I’m aware of anyway!! - so second set of twins in a row). 

Luka was overjoyed. He asked Lila to change into something more well, at least not be in her undies!! And he proposed!

Lila accepted!

And they exchanged vows then and there.

Their dog’s really clingy! All throughout the little ceremony between her owners, she was there... napping.

Luka listening in while Lila reads a book to their son. 

Tom Peeping dropped by as well. And.. well, when the kid ended up wandering off, Lila and Tom ended up having some afternoon fun together.

Again, Lila told herself this was the last time that she was going to fool around and that she’s going to turn a new leaf.

A couple of months passed by.. and then a new set of twins arrived! This time the set of twins are both girls. Luka’s in love with their new babies, Lila still hasn’t divulged the truth and she doesn’t really have any plans of telling Luka the truth anytime soon, afraid that it would ruin their relationship.

That’s all of my (usable!) screenshots so far for this save! This isn’t really a legacy or anything since I use cheats (for simoleons as well as to max up their bars, esp now with the house being packed with toddlers!), but I think I’ll be playing this save file for a little while longer and probably post updates here. The story basically writes itself tbh!

It’s my first time having mods like MCCC and wicked whims and. They really are game changers! Thinking of downloading more mods like them!

(i don't know why i'm telling you this but for boy names i love Liam🥰 and if i had twin boys i think i would do Liam and Peter though i am not married to the name Peter.... anywho)

HAHAHAHA THE 24 HOUR NOTIFICATION- i think i have around 1030 hours on sims? but i've had it since 2019 lmao (reading the screenshots, yes u are 100% a genuis, i take screenshots too but on anon you can't upload them so i just read them and retype what i wrote lmao) i think the university experience in the game is fun, but time consuming and it's all work imo. idk why i do it so often tho 😭😭😭

and agreed!! when you're making good money in the game you have to find other ways to make it interesting. my cousins who play it just continously do "motherlode" and i'm like.... then what do you do in your game?? it just sounds boring to me... my current sims household, i had a famous comedian sim, her name was dylan, aND SORRY IM LAUGHING SO HARD WHILE WRITING THIS BC ITS A GREAT EXAMPLE OF THE UNI THING UNLESS IM JUST DUMB, she went to college for communications when i wanted her to be a comedian and when she graduated i realized that degree did nothing for the career 🥲 so yeah, i think i'm just dumb. but she had a kid in college, guy didn't stick around and she was pretty broke HA but then she got married to this (great) guy named steve, made good bank, had 5 more kids (two sets of twins and one more lol) but then she passed. uhm... yeah that's still an open wound . lol i'm kidding, but when you get rich like that, you have to find a way to make the game interesting and i chose a million kids.

So after 5 days of anxiety (✌🏼) i posted mine this morning bc last night i realised that i didn‘t even know why i was having anxiety so i just posted mine today. I‘m loving falcon and winter soldier so much but when i was watching an episode the week before last week (?) my laptop broke😭😭😭😭 during the scene where the dora milaje came at the end my laptop just shut down? i used to be one of the people who‘d just do motherlode motherlode motherlode and just... what did i do? Why did i do that??? But not anymore lol. Like I said i haven‘t played sims in a few weeks but i‘ve been watching a few legacy challenge let‘s plays and usually i play with the aging off. So my sims just don‘t age 💀 but i could (should) turn aging on so that it stays exciting and i have limited time and everything. and once i get bored with my current sims i can just make them have kids and continue playing as their children when they get older- like recently i remembered that i haven‘t played the acting career in ages? and i haven‘t had a shop in ages? and i think you can even become a vet right??? like those are definitely some things i want to do in the next weeks!!! Legacy Questionnaire

Thought this would be fun to do so I can look back on it after a few more generations pass and see how some answers change. This can also be done as a ‘send me a number’ game so if you want to do that you can find the original post by @melien​, here. Inspired by @an0nymousghost​, you can check out their post here!

1. When did you start your legacy? What inspired you to do it?

I started this Legacy on March 28, 2019. I usually do challenges where there are a lot of rules for each generation but I wanted to start something where I could do pretty much what I wanted and play a little bit more out of my comfort zone. And I’d seen a lot of amazing Legacies on Simblr that made me want to do my own and post it.

2. Are you following any strict rules there or just play how you want?

Nah, I’m basically just doing what I want.

3. Post the oldest picture you have from your legacy save.

The first ever Sharp house. Originally created by lilsimsie but I gave it a renovation. It’s up for download if anyone wants it!

4. What’s so special about your founder that you wanted to start a legacy with them?

She wasn’t really special to be honest. I just finally made a Sim that I managed to enjoy playing enough to not give up and start a new family like I’ve done a few times before with Legacy Challenges.

5. Favourite generation(s)

Generation 1 was probably my favourite. Which makes it sounds like I’ve enjoyed the family less and less as the challenge has gone on but that not the case at all. I think it’s because even though it was only a little over a year ago, I have a bit of nostalgia for that generation? Idk, I’m weird.

6. Favourite heir.

Probably Harper, the Gen 3 heir. 

7. Favourite spare.

Either Abi from Gen 1 or Jordan from Gen 3. 

8. Favourite spouse.

Alessia, the Gen 4 spouse. I’m gonna be really sad when I have to move on to Gen 5 and stop playing her.

9. Top 5 favourite legacy sims.

10. Top 3 favourite couples.

1. Safiya and Milo - the OG couple of this challenge. I have to stan. 2. Jordan and Jackson - kinda look like brothers but I just love them so much. 3. Eli and Alessia -  currently playing them and they’re so cute.

11. If you ever did any story lines, what is the one you’re most proud of?

I’m not a huuuge fan of making big story lines for my Sims but sometimes I have little things in my head about the Sims’ personality or their motivations for doing certain things that someone looking through my legacy won’t know because I don’t necessarily put them into my posts to make a huge story.

12. Any memorable moments?

Mango, a cat from Gen 2, randomly going into labour. I literally don’t know how she got pregnant.

13. Any funny moments?

None that I can think of. That’s upsetting.

14. The most unexpected twist in your legacy?

Some of the kids were unexpected twists - Harper and Hazel weren’t supposed to exist and neither was Eli but I have a problem with making my Sims have too many kids. 

15. Favourite name used on your sims?

I remember being very excited about naming Gus. And I love the name Sonny, especially for a boy. For surnames, I was really proud of Nair and Lane, even though they’re pretty basic lmao.

16. Who of your legacy sims you can relate the most to?

I don’t really relate to any but if I had to choose it would either be Abi or Harper.

17. Do you usually get attached to them or just play without deep thinking?

I get kind of attached in that I love looking back at old screenshots and remember how fun it was to play them but I don’t cry when my Sims die or anything like that because I usually have other Sims that I can move onto and focus on. And like... if I really wanted to see a Sim again, I probably have them saved somewhere.

18. Any surprise babies? What was the story?

Not really a surprise because I made it happen, but Harper and Hazel were not part of my original plan for Generation 2. I planned on Faye only having 2 kids but I was bored and when that happens I usually cure the boredom by having more kids, which I’m trying very hard to stop doing because after the excitement of having the baby is over, I can be even less interested in playing than I was initially.

19. Who of your sims has the best style?

I feel like none of my Sims have the best style, they’re all pretty generic, but if I had to choose... Jordan or Harper.

20. Who is the best genetic mix of their parents?

This is definitely a flaw of The Sims 4 and its shitty skin tones but I quite like that Max and Jordan (who are twins) have a slight mix of their parent’s genetics. Max has Harper’s hair and Cheyanne’s skin tone. And Jordan has Cheyanne’s hair and Harper’s skin tone.

Again, this shouldn’t be a thing. The kids should have a skin tone that’s in the middle of what their parents’ skin tone is but I just thought it was interesting when I noticed it.

21. Is your legacy berry, vanilla, banilla, or a mix of those?

Vanilla in the sense that they aren’t berry sims but not vanilla in the sense that I use a lot of CC and some mods.

22. Have you ever done another legacies apart from this one?

I’ve started a few, two of which I began posting on here but then deleted because I didn’t like how they were going. I was 100% expecting to give up with the Sharp family as well but it’s going pretty good so far.

23. How many generations are you aiming for? When you reach a certain milestone, are you going to continue playing or just wrap up the whole thing?

If I lose interest at any point and genuinely get bored of the Sharp family then I’ll probably stop at the end of whichever generation I’m on but ideally I want to complete 10 generations. I might take a Sim born in the final generation and use them in another legacy/challenge I start as a spouse or something but I’ll stop with the Sharp Legacy after 10.

24. Have you ever done any other challenges with your sims from the legacy?

At some point I probably will use someone from the Sharp family in something else but so far I haven’t. I will be using a Sim from another challenge/family in Sharp Gen 5 though.

25. What do you do when you feel uninspired playing the legacy?

Either stop playing The Sims 4 altogether or play another challenge/family for a bit.

26. Have you had your sims die? Which death was the hardest to take?

I’m on Gen 4 so a lot of Sims have died at this point, all from old age. So far, Harper’s was probably the hardest to take.

27. Do you have this one OTP that stands out among the other legacy couples? Tell us about them!

Jordan and Jackson. I don’t know what it is about them, I just love them so much. Sometimes I wish I made Jackson the heir. I knew that for Gen 4 I wanted to live in Sulani and do Island Living stuff but I didn’t mold Jordan into an Island Living type of Sim so it wouldn’t have fit very well.

28. Have you had a sim who you grew to like?

Eli was very unplanned and I had no idea what to name him and I was like ugh why did I do this but now I love him a lot. Originally, I named him Casper.

Bailey was also very hard to name. I’ve always really loved her, it’s just the name that I’m not sure about. I like the name Bailey but something about Bailey Sharp isn’t my fave. And Sonny and Bailey don’t go together that well imo. But at the same time, now I couldn’t imagine her having a different name so... idk.

29. Have you had a sim that you fell in love with right away?

I’m always obsessed with the first born in a generation so - Abi, Hanna, Max & Jordan, Sonny

30. Do you choose your heirs yourself or make heir polls?

I have thought about making an heir poll when I’m not sure what I want to do for the next Generation but so far, I’ve managed to figure it out so I haven’t needed a poll.

Also, when it comes to choosing an heir, I usually like to choose when they are still a child so I can kind of mold them into what I want for the next Generation as they’re growing up. So making a poll would be hard because the people voting wouldn’t know my plan and I wouldn’t want to give major spoilers for what’s to come.

31. The first legacy memory that pops up in your head?

Safiya going to a cafe to make friends but she ended up just sitting alone drinking coffee. Or when Cheyanne and Harper went on a date and Harper died...

32. The hottest sim?

Gus, Max or Brandie

33. The prettiest sim?

I feel like I’ve been very lucky with this family because all the kids have been really pretty but if I had to choose, probably either Abi, Hayley or Jordan.

34. The most unique sim?

I feel like all my Sims are pretty basic to be honest. If I had to choose... maybe Jordan? I’m not sure. 

35. Have you had any sims that remind you of someone?

I’ve never really thought about it, so I guess not.

36. Do you use other people’s sims in your legacy?

I think most of the Sims I’ve used for this Legacy are either pre-made Sims in the saves I’ve been using or I’ve made them. I don’t think I’ve specifically downloaded anyone from somewhere for my Sim to marry. I probably will do that at some point though.

37. Imagine if you had a chance to meet one of your sims. Who would it be?

That’s so weird for me to imagine but if I had to, either Jordan or Harper.

38. Do you have that one generation you wish you’d done differently?

I love Brandie and Eli so much but I sometimes wish Harper and Cheyanne had Max and Jordan and then were done with babies because 2 generations in a row with 4 babies is a bit much.

I’m trying to make each generation a bit different and focus on a pack. Gen 1 and Gen 2 were both fairly generic but Gen 3 had a university theme for a while and Gen 4 is Island Living. Gen 5 will probably be a mix of Island Living and Eco Lifestyle (if I can be bothered to figure out how to properly work Eco-Lifestyle).

On Sunlit Tides: Reflections

So, I stole this idea from notjustabooksims to do a reflections post when I saw her gen 2 wrap-up post a few months back. This won’t be nearly as in-depth, but I just wanted to write up a lil something, and also talk about my plans for after OST. 

This has been, without a doubt, the best and most rewarding experience I’ve had writing a sim story thus far. I’ve had others, and completed (2?) of them, but in the past I’ve found my experience being constantly marred by bad interactions, or feeling pressured to move the stories or characters in directions which I hadn’t planned. OST was the first story that I stayed genuine with through to the end, and had nothing but positive responses from all of you, and I’m incredibly grateful for it. What started as a silly foray into exploring the Island Living EP turned into a 7-month long adventure, and I had so much fun with this story at every point. Even when I took breaks or went off and did other things in the midst of it all, I still kept wanting to come back to it. Now that’s it’s completed, I get so nostalgic over the earlier chapters and just what it was like to be in those moments. I loved building all of the sets for this story, and I feel like I’ve learned a lot from this in terms of workflow that I can hopefully apply to new stories moving forward. 

Just for the fun of it, a few statistics from the story for my own records (approximate):

I’m very sad to be retiring the OST world and characters, but I’ll still likely feature the sims sparingly on my main blog. I am, however, happy to be moving on. As much love as I have for this story, the amount of time I’ve dedicated to the project has been absolutely monumental. It consumed large portions of my days and overall mental space and I’m just really looking forward to a break. Which leads me to what happens now that the story is done? Will I be doing more stories? Will this blog go dark? 

Well, for now, and for a while, my plan has been to take a good, long hiatus from simblr. Likely I will be pretty quiet here on Simlit for the time being. I have a few meme things and ask tags to catch up on, but once I finish with those I will be jumping back over to my main for further posting. I don’t plan on doing much in the way of sims content for right now. I just want to relax, play my game at leisure, and that likely means I’ll just being doing interiors or sim pics sparsely when I feel the desire. I think I’ll take a couple months before I commit to something this heavy again. In the meantime, I plan on catching up on all of your stories and posts that I’ve let fall to the wayside while I hyper focused on my own project. Hopefully I can be generally more interactive now that my time is freed up. 

I’m also planning on doing massive pose dumps; I have tons of stuff in my story folder that I need to get organized and edit up a little bit, and I can post it over on my pose library for those of you who are on the list. Anyone reading this who is a mutual, interactive reader, and is interested in my sims 4 poses (and who are not already on the list obviously), please send me a private message. I’ll probably post some previews and things for you guys to yay or nay, because I’m not sure what all is worth putting up for download and what isn’t. But that’s neither here nor there. 

As of right now, I don’t have any plans or desire to continue the OST storyline. I do have a sequel outlined in the event I ever change my mind, and I set up the ending to allow for me to weave it in if I so choose, but that’s for Future Jade to parse out. Current Jade needs to sleep for 86 years and my interest as far as what story I’ll be posting next (because yes! there will be one!), will be an entirely new project. Having this secondary blog has allowed me a lot more freedom to do and post what I want without feeling boxed in, so I think I will definitely do another story once I’m good and rested. I’ve already started outlining and doing a bit of writing on it, but I will try to pace myself with it, because I just won’t have as much time to dedicate to the game overall this year. But! What I can say is that it’s going to be high fantasy and here be dragons.

My final note to close out all this babbling (sorry for the enormous post!) but I just want to absolutely thank all of you from the bottom of my heart for reading and following me over these months. I’ve met so many new people through writing this story, gained new amazing friends, and grown closer with old friends. This has been a wonderful experience reading your reactions and replies. Just seeing everyone getting so involved and invested in my crazy characters could make me cry. I feel absolutely blessed to have you lovely people as readers. You are all honestly the best of simblr, and that’s a fact. I’ve never been the type of person to want a lot of notes or followers. I prefer to have a small group of close friends, and I feel like I’ve finally found that here on this platform and it is a liberating feeling. I wouldn’t have had as much fun or as much dedication to finishing this project if it wasn’t for all of your support, and I just hope you can understand even a little bit of my gratitude. So thank you for reading, for putting up with me, for all your wonderful comments and interaction, and I hope to see you the next time around ♥

Current Activities in Sims 4 #6

So here, I’m going to do a sort of character spotlight. After a little blurb, and a Read More break because there’s a LOT of images in this.

Around the time the Star Wars patch came out and killed several mods, I decided to create a new world. My first and original one after ~90 hours was becoming a bit cramped (I had about 12 custom households spread around. Still plenty of lots to move into but still). The ‘big’ ones updated quick and I just took it as a sign to start anew, with some makeovers. My first world also had sims and families that didn’t have the luxury of all the clothing options I do now, so there’s also that.

So my first madeover family is Relmyna and Ameel.

Their narrative is that they are two artists helping each other out. Relmyna is a magic’d bloodline but mostly human artist who funds most of the household. She has a legit job as a painter. Ameel is... an alien. She’s all about the music, and so far has remained unemployed as she builds up her fame by DJing at certain hotspots. She avoids her disguise because she thinks that helps her get famous faster. On a narrative basis, she’s right. Mechanically, this means nothing. Just gotta deal with that “embarassed” moodlet every so often. Their main gameplay loop is Relmyna getting a shitton of money and upgrading their household. Which right now is about two or three satellite buildings.

They barely enter the main house, by the way. Anyway, Ameel spends most of her time practicing instruments. She’s maxed out on DJing and Guitar, and pretty high in singing. Like 9 or something. She’ll work on Violin next, and maybe Piano. I’m not sure what any of that will really do for her, it just suits her narrative. Here’s some proper headshots. I won’t be following this same format with every Sim, just kind of figuring this out as I go.

So here’s one of my newest concepts, Kassandra Sun. She was originally darker skinned. She started as a Dark Elf/Dunmer from TES like thing but that ashy black skintone doesn’t really ‘work’ with the animations. They look a bit blobby, and that’s probably why the community is complaining about some of the darker skintones in the game. I made her more human-dark and realized she looked like three of my other characters (very close to Relmyna with different hair) so I just Caucasian’d her up.

She’s my first foray into the acting career and so far I’m enjoying it, though it’s hard to tell how much fame I’m actually getting out of it. She’s a B-lister right now and that’s a pretty good place to be, some of the 3 star perks are very useful. Like how you can skip auditions and costuming and go straight to the role. So that’s cool. I’ve also clearly given her some elven/magical descent because I’m a slut for those Plentiful needs potions. Her current house is an upgrade from a starter but is mostly just a full prefab with an extension to put her relevant stuff. She paints on the side because I’m a slut for that painter money. She adopted a kitten named Kelly, whom I will manually age up in a season or two (I have aging disabled because some of my technically immortal character concepts were becoming elders without me noticing).

Now here comes my self insert, a trans girl named Livia Jones. I’ve talked about her in previous posts but nothing has really changed except her wardrobe. Even her default outfit has remained the same because I LOVE it and want it in real life. Pretty sure I have the pants at least.

She has a pet cat named Jailbird.

Interestingly, she does not have the “mischievous” trait... that I can remember. I just liked the outfit. I will say this version of Livia slightly differs from my first world’s Livia, but probably not for very long. Right now she’s a writer and with a writer’s job. In the previous world, writing was a side gig (like it is IRL) but was a professional gamer as her actual job. I might actually be going back to that eventually but I’ll go down the Author career for a small while. Her royalties are up to ~3500 right now and that’s not bad, but I also liked the idea of streaming and I want to get back to that. It’d be closer to RL, but without all the money, fame, and success. Which is why I love this game. This is Malia Tilo.

My attempt at an islander and mermaid, and eventually I want to delve into the eco mechanic of the island. She has a cat named Moana.  I’ve tried a couple different things with her, like living off the grid but there’s something generating 2 units of power and I can’t fucking find it. I also experimented with the Naturalist thing from Wicked Whims but they tend to keep dressed when you’re on other Sims so it doesn’t really amount to much beyond some basic level titillation. I dress her fairly skimpily (given that the island is naturally hot) so she gets some Naturist skill over time anyway. I haven’t played her much, even in my first world, because there’s not a lot going for her to interest me. Healing the island is a slow endeavor, and being a mermaid means I can’t farm up all those Plentiful Needs potions unless I get a spellcaster to move in with her, so in turn it makes running around the whole island an irritating affair. She has 583$ to her name and an easel at the ready but... Just not really in the mood to play her. So here comes The Matriarch.

She should have a cat named Lazarus as well, which is an oversight on my part. I’ll work on it. Lorewise, she’s one of my oldest and most complex characters. Not much has changed for her in World 2, so I’ll just take some screenshots I already have:

She’s much nicer than she looks. She has -some- extra outfits and accessories now but that’s her main look in general. I also found a lighting-type tattoo over her body which simulates part of her curse. The idea is that she was overcharged with some chaos magic a long time ago in her plotline, thus the fucked up face and bad teeth. The stuff you see on her face (typically a vampire thing) also goes through her entire body. I couldn’t find anything that does quite what I have in my head but... it’ll do.

I haven’t done much on her in World 2 yet, but I plan on downloading some type of black magic job mod so she can get to work proper. None of the odd jobs or anything suit her concept so I need something reclusive... 

...like painting. Don’t judge me.  That’s all for now. I still want to make a university student and engineer. I’ll get there eventually.

2019 HIGHLIGHTS

2017 highlights / 2018 highlights

I'm doing the yearly collage for the third time and it's really enjoyable to see what I've been up this year!

This was an absolute best year of my life. I've experienced so many new things that I never thought would happen to me, made a lot of new friends, travelled to new places, gained plenty of confidence, was doing better mentally, and understood my true calling. Let's see what it was like in the sims.

2019 was a Carnet year, that's for sure. They've become my OTP that will be really hard to top, and yes, they were "The Special Couple" from 2018 highlights post, which makes me very emotional. In 2020 they'll finally start becoming side characters, and Cloudberry together with her spouse will be taking over, which I'm super excited for because they have a lot of potential and I just know I'll feel strongly for them (and, as I mentioned before, the storylines are connected)

I returned to the Maples and finally completed the gen 2 story that I've been thinking about for ages! There were moments where I completely gave up on ever doing it, so I surprised even myself when I went through with it.

Occasionally there were the Lilygreens and the Fletcher reboot, though I aspire to move faster with the latter, like I mentioned in my simblr goals post. Hopefully, 2020 will be the year.

While making this post, I noticed that I made plenty of new sims and they were all so cute, and I'm becoming even happier with my style.

Speaking of these collage pictures, you might notice they're in a weird order - yeah, they are. The thing that changed about my simblr experiences is that I don't post things in perfect order as I play anymore. Sometimes I can do a photoshoot and post it months later. I can play a legacy and hoard screenshots for ages before I feel like it's a suitable time to share them. This is actually why the last collage is solely photoshoots - I've been playing my legacies for the last few months but never got to post these updates on my blog, so I guess they'll count as 2020 screenshots. Maybe it's a downside of having multiple legacies. There are some end of 2018 ones in the first collage anyway, for the exact same reason.

This time, I decided to include some stuff that was never posted on my blog. E.g. couple/character photoshoots that were originally spoilery and later I just forgot about them, and some future Fletcher reboot sims in the second collage (they were all in the original legacy, so not too spoilery, perhaps). There's also a pic or two that I probably shared on Twitter but never on here. With some of them, I don't even know why.

Buuuut, if we talk about spoilers, here's a little game for those who's attentive to my legacies... I dare you to spot three characters that were unseen before! Hint - one will be important in the Twinkles (and I even mentioned them in this post, though not by name 👀), and two are the kids of the major characters in the Maples (who were already born in game, just not posted yet). If you manage to find them, I'll love you forever.

Thank you everyone for the great 2019, and for your constant support! I can promise 2020 will come with new exciting stories, lovable characters and epic ships. If you read everything, you deserve the world... and maybe, while we’re at it, you have some 2019 memories of my blog that you'd like to share? The Face That Fills My Dreams || Favorite OC || Obviously Haven. I literally see her in my dreams I’m not kidding. I love this bitch so damn much she completely changed me not only as a writer, but as a person. Find you a character that changes your outlook on life, that’s Haven for me. It ain’t WWJD it’s WWHD (what would Haven do)

#RelationshipGoals || Favorite Couple || WAVEN! WAVEN! WAVEN! This couple means so much to me. I dedicated pretty much all my time to these two. They’re my favorite couple I’ve ever written, and the only couple I not only want to continue writing after they get together, but follow them through the rest of their lives and journey together. They’re the perfect couple in my eyes and I genuinely fear I’ll never love a couple as much as I love them.

My Spot || Favorite Place in Game || Ya bitch loves Sulani. I wish I actually played the game and managed to really see Sulani for what it was, but the time I spent there I loved. The shoot I did of Haven was one of my favorites!

From The Ground Up || Favorite Build || Haven’s room is probably what I’m most proud of. I dabbled a lot in building and decorating this year, but nothing has made me so proud than her room. Even now I’ve been using a lot of builds by other creators because I can never fully capture what I want to, except for Haven’s room. It’s such a representation of her and I fucking want it to be my room god damn it.

Let’s Celebrate! || Favorite Holiday || So I’ve never really done holidays or seasons in my stories before, and I just started with these past few posts of the fall season. I just posted my scene for the day before Thanksgiving and decorating for Christmas was so much fun! I’ll be doing a small time skip with a montage of the holiday festivities of the Morris’ and Bradley’s and I can’t wait! I also just love Kirby and Maddie in this shot, as both of those are dogs I’ve had (Maddie is still alive and kickin it tho) and it really shows their personalities even though they never knew each other in real life.

Your Dark Side || MM vs. Alpha || So I’m an alpha bitch and I always will be, but that doesn’t mean I don’t love MM. It brings out a new side of me creatively that I love to mess with. I think it’s obviously that my MM sims are made by a primarily alpha simmer, but it’s still so fun!

WTF?! || Favorite In-Game Outtake || I don’t play much in game but I got this shot of River dancing from the last scene and he just looks SMOKIN’.

Never Released || Favorite Never-Before-Seen Screenshot || I had my !future Waven kick and I took some shots of them I wanted to use for after they got married. I loved editing this shot of their hands with their wedding bands. Tbh Wade is the one in the relationship that started doing everything with his left hand just so people would ask about his wife LMAO boy’s wanted to marry her since they were kids

Treat Yo’Self! || Fave CC Creator || I’m an alpha hair and preset SLUT, Haven is made with mostly presets, and I loved this hair by @antosims so much I changed Haven’s hair mid-scene lol, and the retextures by @shimydim literally save my life.

Competitive Spirit || Favorite CAS Challenge || I LOVED making over my old sims, and Sawyer here was my absolute favorite to do. I think she’s so gorgeous but at the same time still looks like her original self even though she’s completely different. She’s so pretty I only changed her lip shape a tiny bit and everything else was skin details.

Sharing Is Caring || Favorite Collaboration || My favorite collaboration is absolutely any Havinch scene I do with @cosmosim! Finch is such an important part of my story and Haven’s arc, and his friendship has had such a big influence on the plot. Our roleplays get a little crazy sometimes LOL but they are always fun and such a great way for us to connect our characters. One day me and Grace will write a canon couple that will actually end up together cause tour characters always have such amazing chemistry.

I loved loved LOVED this challenge and really encourage everyone to try it!

Jaiden - Jett - Angel - Ira - Bianca - Blodwen - Pixie

I was tagged by @simmancy​!  I tag @quietlysimming​, because she said she wanted to do it, and anyone who wants to!  Info on my founders under the cut!

Jaiden Braidy: Jaiden is a founder who I’m not sure if I’m going to post.  He’s a single dad of Twins he loves very much, with dreams to be a famous author.

Jett Dawson: Jett is a shy, goth teen with a long history for me.  Jett and Tobias were the start of what myself and a couple friends called the “Gay Plague”, where any male sims I made were autonomously gay.  I had been playing as Tobias, and he had a wish to go to the museum for a bit.  I took him there and found him talking to Jett, and Tobias was a sim that wouldn’t autonomously talk to his own family, so I had to keep up this friendship.  But the story is more interesting from Jett’s perspective, I think.  Fun fact, the original name for this story is “Stereotypes”!

Angel Dove: I think Angel’s story is an improvement so far over my last attempt at a BPR, though I do intend to one day finish the Prisms.  Maybe.  Angel was is actually my third attempt at a BPR, and I’ll explain that later.  Introverted, but determined.  She knows who, and what, she wants, and isn’t afraid to get it.

Ira Kelly: Ira is actually from a challenge I planned to start but never finished!  Ira was to be my founder for the MV Legacy!  I may still eventually start posting his story, as I did a lot of planning for it.

Biana Pallette: Bianca, Bianca, Bianca...  From my first BPR that never was.  You can see I reused some of her facial and body designs in Pixie’s bestie, Briella!  The most interesting thing about her is that her versions of Royal and Romeo were named Adonis Blush and Galateo Huntley and they looked like this(Yes, Galateo does have a manbun and no I don’t remember why.):

Blodwen Prism: Def the founder I’ve spent the most time with.  Looking back I have a lot of problems with her character and thus Royal’s and Romeo’s.  During Runaway Founders I started to address it, but I never really did it right.  Royal was too forgiving and Romeo I don’t think even really had a reason for sleeping with her in the original line other than it was required.  Did she feel like she had to for a good review?  Was it just lust?  Did she seduce him???  If I ever did her all over again, I probably would try to the cheating plotline make sense.

Pixie Glenn: My darling, my baby, my favorite, Pixie.  Pixie was originally just for me to play around with DU and RoM, but I ended up adoring her and the people around her, and now her story is going to go past her, and possibly past that generation!

Long time no replies. Yeah. Last week, I couldn’t do them on Sunday. I couldn’t do them on Monday either because I was in Prague all day and got back home at midnight. I thought I’d do them on Tuesday but then I didn’t feel like it, and then there was school stuff and other stuff and yeah here we are, it’s another Sunday. I don’t think anyone cares that much though :D

I’ve been working on Rose Legacy all weekend. It’s been so much fun. Right now, I’m halfway through the first part of it, the part that’s focused on quadruplets. I had a phase a few days ago, I was thinking about switching to ts3 again and I felt like I didn’t actually want to do it for some reason. Probably because I’ve been posting ts4 for months now and switching games after such a long time has always been kinda weird. It was always the other way around though - I posted more ts3 and less ts4. Eh, you don’t care :D Now I’m excited for posting that legacy again. I still think of them as of my “mascots” to be honest, they’ve been here since before I had a simblr. Anyway, January 2019. Roses are back. It’s gonna be great. I hope.

Another thing no one cares about, it snowed for the first time today and it hasn’t melted yet. I’m so happy. I'm like a child when it comes to this, really.

It’s been two weeks and I’m still thinking about it. It has really been the best thing about high school so far, and I doubt anything will top it. We finally got the video of the prom on Friday. I haven’t been able to watch it but I hope it’s good :D

Can I just say I’m glad it came off like this. Bittersweet. I kind of wanted that, to be honest. Not in the “yasss I’ll make my followers cry I’m so evil hahaha” way though. Idk it’s hard to explain.

It’s different from other legacy couples, in my opinion, and I’m here for that. It’s kinda refreshing. I mean, usually people love the heir, love their spouse, want them to get together. This one? This one is something else.

I’m not saying I’m gonna make all my heirs assholes from now on, don’t get me wrong. But it was fun to try something new :D

Is it a holiday? When there are holidays in game, there was a bug where, if you had a loading screen for any reason (even CAS) sims would come home from work and school.

Nope, it was a regular day. Still a better bug than the current one :/ I thought I’d start playing gen 3 but I don��t want my sims to age up when I enter CAS. I know there’s a fix for it now, I’ll probably look into it tomorrow.

Oh yes. I think I prefer the dying animation in ts3, where they just sort of turn into ghost. The ts4 animation might be more realistic, but the ts3 one is just...beautiful, in a way. Sad but beautiful.

This, for me, was also very bittersweet. Because it’s awesome that he finally realized he has to be there for her, and it’s great that he finally cares, yay character development...but December had to die for him to realize. That sucks.

I have to say something else here...at this point, you’d think I would make them interact more. I didn’t really. I don’t know why, but I didn’t. So really, who’s the bad person here? I’d just like to say that from here on, they were closer, they spent more time together, even if I somehow didn’t show it. Past me, you’re stupid, this was such a big part and you ruined it.

Combusto Apocalypse: Ch. 4

In which I am a Complete and Utter Buffoon and lose over half of my screenshots!

The background of this Beatles-esque screenshot looks kinda of weird because I hadn’t bothered to fix the skies, but whatever.

I had intended to take more screenshots this time around and play a little slower, partly to keep myself engaged and partly so that I wouldn’t go back and read this in a couple months and be bored by the amount of birthdays in each chapter. But alas, it was not meant to be - at some point fraps closed during the college years and all I am left with are pictures taken with the shitty in-game camera. I’ll use a couple pictures taken in game for some major things that happened, but beware my friends... they’re not pretty.

So when we last left off, all the Combusto kids had made it to college with no money and a half-built house that they couldn’t even walk into because I couldn’t afford stairs. Woops.

Everyone grew up well except Ava for some reason, and after this point I frequently confuse Ava and Holly for each other. Douglas grows up into orange once again, Elliot dresses like every boyfriend I had during my first two years of college, and Theo is just kinda there.

Everyone goes to the library immediately once I’ve realized my mistake so that they can get final papers in before their needs plummet.

I kinda wonder if this is supposed to be code or something. Maybe papers just look like that in simlish.

Everyone is a bunch of babies and won’t skill so I must resort to red hands for the millionth time.

Of course, they don’t have a shower on the home lot, so what’s a poor college sim to do but sponge bathe butt ass nude in the public restroom?

Luckily there are grills all over campus, so where there’s not a cafeteria there’s still a source of food.

Desperate for cash, Holly and Theo play for tips at the... club? I don’t remember where this is. Or if instruments are allowed, actually... damn it!

...

After some extensive googling, the rules state that sims may not purchase select instruments, but they don’t say anything about using them on community lots. So I think it’s okay.

Elliot immediately spends his cousin’s hard earned cash on a drink at the bar. Grr. Useless! Now you’ll just have to pee a lot!

“What? What’s college without irresponsible spending on alcohol?” 

Douglas unsurprisingly drifts toward the bubble bar. What did I tell you?

“I suddenly feel the urge to tell every person I meet about how much I love this kind, kind flower!”

Ugh, freshmen.

I don’t know what it is about Theo but I hate looking at him. 

Get out of here, you demon!! Leave my boys alone!

The Combustos all wander over to the Gym, where it looks like the worst of the default Maxis clothes have culminated. To be fair though, there are quite a few people who dress like this at my school.

Ava for some reason has her custom hair back when she works out, and spots Kevin Bear (or something) across the way. Look at that smile! 

Kevin accepts her advances right away, and even though he’s a playable he seems alright. Hmm, if you play your cards right you’ll be living in a mansion outside of the Apocalypse lot, kid.

I thought that this was really sweet - everyone took a plate from the cafeteria and then they all sat together. Aww, family! Well, except Elliot. I don’t know where he went. 

Holly tries to earn some cash by working as a barista, but it isn’t going well. People keep coming up, ordering a drink, and then leaving it on the counter.

The Resident Streaker™ comes up to some random student and does this... 

...and when he runs off she just smiles! What a load of garbage, who coded this? In what universe would this be the correct response? Will Wright you perv.

Alright folks, it’s about to get rough. Bear with me through the in game screenshots.

Everyone passes their first year with a 4.0 thanks to a lot of coffee drinking and cursing on my end, and it’s finally enough to furnish the house a bit. Not enough for a floor or wall paint, but hey, you take what you can get.

Sophomore year comes and goes, and all of the kids re-roll. I don’t remember as what because I didn’t write it down and don’t feel like opening the game, but all that’s important is that Theo rolled as family and Holly rolled as romance. Much more fitting for a sim with one nice point.

Lexie keeps dropping by and ringing the doorbell and then immediately leaving. What, you want to reconnect with your kids now that they’re grown? Tough!!

The Llama barges in frequently but surprisingly never causes any problems. He just kinda reads and then leaves. A perfect target for a certain romance sim...

“Me?”

Yes, you! I think! I’m actually not sure if that’s you or your sister in this picture!

Alright, well that backfired pretty quickly. They woohoo’d and then he randomly ran onto the lot while she was flirting with a certain ugly someone. I’ve subject myself to a generation of tipped over garbage cans, great.

Holly is the pickiest romance sim ever. Come on, you have two bolts for that dude!! Stop complaining!

Everyone gets into a groove after a while. Days are spent skilling...

...and nights are spent making friends, woohooing for grades and random family visits.

And then there’s this incredibly calm cheerleader, who only every comes over to look at some invisible art piece on the very back corner of the lot. 

Yep... sure is a... neat poster there.

Then this lovely lady walks by, and she looks like the perfect woman for Douglas! No, I don’t know why. I just kinda like her vibe. She seems like a distant relative of the Addams family.

First kiss didn’t exactly go very well, but they made up later. Douglas isn’t exactly a ladies man.

Holly, however, has quite the opposite reputation.

“You know, 10 body points go pretty far in the bedro-” “Yeah whatever, as long as you don’t get mad later and stay a family friend so everyone can top their careers I don’t really care.”

Then this... dazzling creature walks by. He falls easily for Holly’s romancing, not unlike the others. And they have THREE bolts for each other!

Picky, picky! Three bolts and still no smile, huh? Jeez, I don’t know how I’m going to find you a spouse. (She got caught cheating but I can’t for the life of me remember who was involved.)

Anyway, then everyone graduated, moved back home, blah blah blah

And Holly tops Architecture with ease! Yaaaaay now we can start rebuilding the house!!!!

With Architecture lifted, we can now build outside the 8x8 lot, build fancy houses, and buy (somewhat) fancier furniture!

Phew, that was the last of the in-game camera.

Theo visits the local business center before taking up a job as CEO only to witness a brutal zombie takedown in the restaurant. 

“Snore.... I’m so smart.... zzzzz”

Not much has changed back at home.

Oh jesus christ. I forgot I had replaced the social bunnies. Bonus old man butt.

Holly does what romance sims do best and builds up that sweet, sweet family friends number. I haven’t picked a spouse for her yet, though. No one’s really caught my eye.

I lost the pictures, but Theo and Ava top Business and Athletic on the same day!! We can now move stuff around, carry more in inventory, sell stuff without restriction, and start our own business! Woooo!

As soon as they topped their careers, they moved out and proposed to their respective partners. Theo married some rando from college and Ava married Kevin! Well, tried to marry him. He won’t move in for some reason. But whatever! I’ll fix it later.

Through the magic of boolprop, Theo and his wife Solveig have two kids back to back...

and uh... I don’t remember their names. Oops. But now there’s some non-townie kids who may come home on the bus with future generations!

And with all the potential building restrictions gone, it’s finally time to say goodbye to the Poorly Planned Cement Square. One last look at the inside so you can all get a feel for how badly I organized the furniture...

IT’S FINALLY HERE - the get-to-know-me-followers-gift-tag-thing I have been talking about for far too long! I’ve put way too much time into this but I’m really happy with the end result, and I hope this lets anyone new here get to know a little bit more about the simmer behind the plumbob that runs this crazy little blog 💕

As this is a followers gift (x2!!) I just wanted to say thank you to anyone and everyone who has ever followed or supported me - I love you all so much, as well as the simblr community! I’m going to be tagging all those who have been even more than that, whether they are friends, people I have chatted to, people who have inspired me, have been super active or just friendly in general, so if you are tagged at the end of this post, know that you are extra special to me and you are the best!! 😊

The first actual screenshot of this post shows five pictures that actually exist in my house - or as close as I could get them to look like the ones irl! You can consider the other screenies (5, 6 + 7) to be more based on memories and experiences, as well as just showcases of things about me! This is going to be a hefty and long post so I’ve put under the cut for you beautiful people. With all the admin stuff out of the way, let’s get right into it! ✨

1. ‘bright as a jewel, beautiful as a flower’ ~ Hi. You probably all know me as panda, p or the elusive A from the gallery (not A from PLL, I promise 😏), but of course, I’m not actually called panda, as that would be a kinda cool but unfortunate name. I have disclosed my name to a couple of people over message, but never publicly so...Hi. My name is Amber (it’s actually Amber Rose surname but Rose is a middle name, so I usually drop it when introducing myself, and thus explaining the quote so often used by mother to explain the name). Anyway, good to finally introduce myself to y’all! The picture above is obviously not when I was born, as I definitely didn’t come out looking that fabulous 17 years ago. No, this is an edit done by Grandma of my christening, 5 months after 05/09, my birthday. Of course, I don’t remember any of it, but it happened in my mum’s childhood-home-local-church, at the time almost an hour away from where we lived.

2. ‘splish, splash, splosh’ ~ By the time I turned two, we moved closer to my grandparent’s on my mum's side, who didn’t live too far off the coast. We lived more centrally in UK prior on the outskirts of a city, so moving there (or back, in my mum’s circumstances) to a rural and much smaller community was a big change. I personally can’t even remember my time in the city, as I was so young. I do remember our times on the beach after we moved. We’d go very often, and we’d play in the sea, make sandcastles, walk our old dog Sam... the pictures above were taken in one of the colder months during this time - and was taken and edited by my grandma once again.

3. ‘she smiles because she is my sister, she laughs because there is nothing i can do about it...’ ~ Not too long after the move, my one and only sibling, my sister came along. I think it’s fair to say that although I have always disliked her, found her incredibly annoying and referred to her as the spawn of satan multiple times, there is some love there. We do occasionally get on very well, but other times it’s like there is a war going on between us! However, things do always resolve themselves... but not for long 😂

4. ‘although i cannot see you, i feel your presence near. i will hold you close in memory, till I drop my very last tear.’ ~ In December 2013, my grandma passed away after battling cancer for many years. This was the first death in the family, and the first death of someone so close to me I had experienced. Although it sounds super big headed, as her first born grandchild I always her favourite, and even though she was very traditional, we were always very close. I’ve always been quite unemotional, so it didn’t really hit me she was gone until I was making shortbread biscuits in FT, and I broke down. Most people thought that it was because my biscuits went so badly... The photo here was taken on the same day that photo 3 was and before she got really ill, and I’m almost certain that the quote is from a poem I wrote in a card for her coffin.

5.  ‘divorce isn’t such a tragedy. a tragedy is staying in an unhappy marriage.’ ~ This photo is more of a what-if, as we went on many camping holidays when we were a family. In mid-2013, my mum and dad separated, and finally got officially divorced last year. The family was pretty much broken when my sister and I were born - my dad was always very restrictive with money, and we always only had the bare minimum we needed to survive, let alone live a good, happy life, even though we had plenty of money for that. My parents would constantly argue and fell out of love because this - so things had to change. I know that the splitting-up of parents affects most people in a big way, but this has never affected me that much. I feel as though I have never had a relationship with my dad, even though I lived with him for most of my life. Now, both of my parents have moved on and are happy in new relationships - I only see my dad a couple of times a month and have never met his new partner. But none of this has changed me, and to be honest, I think everyone in my family is a better person because of it.

6. ‘aspire and achieve’ ~ School has obviously been a massive part of my life. I followed the same line as most kids in England up to secondary school. I did a year at my local secondary before I moved over to another school, a bit further away with no one I knew attending but much smaller with higher ratings. Moving there was the best decision I ever made. I improved academically and socially, gaining loads of new friends and skills.Last year, I sat my GCSEs, and came out with 5 A*s, 3 As, and a B - I couldn’t have been happier. I’m now attending a large city college to do AS levels in English Language and Literature, Sociology, Geography and Film Studies this next summer, and even though I’ve only been going for 3 weeks - I’m loving every second of it!

7. ‘my face looks like the moon!’ ~ It’s been a long journey to finding myself, and I have changed so much as a person over my 17 years. I used to be really shy, never look at people when they spoke to me... but now I’m probably too confident, as I always let my opinion come first 😂 My personality type is INFP-J and star sign Virgo - both of which apply extremely strongly to me, and basically any description you can find of either is always highly relatable to me. I’ve always been unique and individual, not following the crowd, as well as a bit of a geek - a perfectionist, intelligent, organised and thriving on the Internet. However, I do have a girly side: one part of me that has stayed since I was young was my self-consciousness about my body, and I certainly have acne (which is subtly in the picture), not in such a bad way that I need to take medication, but it has bothered me for a very long time (show by the direct quote for this selection of screenies 😂).  I feel as though makeup is a fun and effective way of making myself look how I want, and although I’m not into as much as I was, I still love it! I also love to read, and have way too many books that I have bought and have got round to reading due to school texts, as well as clothes and fashion!

8. ‘always classy, never trashy and a little bit sassy’ ~ These final screenies are of me at my prom this summer just gone! My whole look was inspired by Clary from the Mortal Instruments, as well as Grecian style as I knew I was going on holiday to Crete only a few weeks after! Although it pissed it down all night, it was a great event and a huge celebration for not only completing and doing well in my exams but also how far I have come as a person in the last 4 years especially - my achievements, my friends and my personality as a whole. I’ll miss my old school and friends, but I’ll never get anywhere if I don’t move on - university, seeing the world, falling in love - I want to experience it all. College is the first step, and who knows what will happen from there. But I’ll never forget where I’ve come from and the people and events that have made me the person I am today 💫

The first mistake (4th post)

Well I guess she isn’t out of my life just yet. So before continuing the story I’ll update you on what’s happening now. It’s interesting to me that for someone who can’t keep a promise Anthea sure doesn’t like being accused of being deceitful. That was a bit of a recurring thing in our discussions. I’d send her some money then she’d ghost me and I’d be convinced she scammed me and accuse her of it. Then almost immediately she’d come back saying she wasn’t scamming me. Well that happened again. After the last post when I said she had just sent me the two emojis I didn’t mention that I replied to that saying I’d only listen to what she had to say in person. I saw she read that message but didn’t reply. After a couple of days I decided to tell her about this blog saying she’d have to use a different name and pictures to trick another man. Well that got the response I’ve come to expect from her. Her immediately replying saying she didn’t trick me and if me believing she was fake helped me then so be it and she did care about me. It made me laugh a little because she keeps trying to convince me in text that she cares about me but won’t keep the promise she made to meet me.

Another thing before continuing with the story. I’ll say that Anthea is the only woman I’ve given money to without meeting them. Like I’ve said before I’ve had other women try to get money from me through online dating but they usually try early and sound very fake. I believe Anthea to be everything she’s told me it’s just she won’t keep her promise to meet me. But she has no guilt about the money she took from me without keeping that promise.

So the title of this post is referring to the first time I gave her money. I had told myself multiple times while online dating that I’d never do it. So it was a lot of arguing through texts before I agreed to do it. Her reason for asking was because she was tired of waiting to save up for a new phone to do the video call with me. Like I said before we had lots of normal conversations and some sexy ones. So I was tired of waiting too but would have kept doing so. She sent me a screenshot of the phone she was going to get from Amazon and said she only needed another $82 to get it. The phone cost $199. She couldn’t afford it because she said she lives on a very tight budget which also makes it hard to save money. I think we argued for an hour or more before I agreed to send her an Amazon gift card. The arguments from my side were that we could just meet but she kept going back to being scared to meet due to her previous bad experiences. It was a very hard decision to make for me and I’ll tell you my reasoning for doing it. First, is that I have to admit that I’ve had no luck with women. I’m not good at meeting them and the few dates I’ve been on just weren’t a good fit. My ex wife and I were great friends but had no chemistry in the bedroom. At that point I really liked Anthea and I also liked that she could be someone I could take care of. I guess I’m a little old fashioned that I like the idea of taking care of the woman I’m with. Second, it was a relatively small amount of money for me. So the loss to me if she just took it and stopped talking to me was insignificant. Really the reason it had been hard to do it was I thought I was going to lose her after giving her the money. Not because it was a hardship for me to give it to her. Third, I did kind of want to see if all our talking had just been to get this little bit of money from me. So I sent it thinking that would be that. She didn’t ghost me for this first time but of course there had to be a twist. She didn’t get the phone activated right away so I wanted to know why. Well you can probably guess, she needed more money to activate it and get a new SIM card. Shocking, right? Well she said it’d be another $100-$150 dollars because she had to switch phone plans to do it. She didn’t ask for that money and she didn’t want my help for it. She said she didn’t want anything more from me until we met so she’d just have to wait until she got paid at the end of the month. She said she didn’t realize that switching the phone would cost more because it was so different from her old phone.

Well I think that’s a good place to end this part of the story. Before closing this post out I’ll explain the photos. These were ones she sent me because at a certain point she was convinced that I didn’t know enough about her to meet. So she wanted to show me parts of her that she thought might scare me away from her. She told me how she likes changing hair color a lot and had a bunch of tattoos which apparently some she’s not proud of. As well as having a pet rat. I told her that I loved those quirky things about her and that it just made me want her more. I meant it and still love those things about her. To be totally honest if she met me I’d still want to be with her. Really breaking her promise to meet me is the only thing she did to hurt me and that can always be fixed. I know I’m a fool but she got to me.

I’ve been tagged by both @simmeronnie and @amphorasims, so I thought I’d put the answers on one post. Also this way I won’t have to make up twenty questions.  It’s behind a read more, because it’s pretty long.

Rules: Always post the rules, answer the questions given to you, then write 10 questions of your own, and tag some friends.

Simmeronnie’s questions:

1) What’s your least favourite sims expansion?

Island Paradise? Maybe? I don’t know. All of them bring something I need in my game to the table, and I can’t decide, which I need less. 

2) If you could meet one of your sims, who would it be?

I think... either Bertie or Jay, who hasn’t been introduced yet. Bertie because he’s nice and friendly and sweet, which technically goes for Jay too. Jay’s also so fun and positive. The problem with meeting any of them, is that I’m so super shy, and they would technically be strangers. I think Jay would actually be able to break the ice though. Bertie, idk. He probably could too... maybe, but I’d be embarrassed around him, cus I made him my simself’s husband. 

3) What would you do/talk about with the sim chosen above?

I have two things I talk about. Video games and fandoms (the sims being grouped in the video games), so probably we’d talk about either of those. As for do... I think we could watch shows, play video games, or dance and listen to music. Jay’s really active though, so we probably have to go to a park to entertain him. We could play around on the playground, which I’m not sure would interest Bertie, but I would totally be down for that.

4) Do people you know in real life know that you have a simblr?

Yes. My sister is even following my blog, but her blog isn’t a simblr. 

5) Do you create playlists that remind you of your favourite sim(s)?

Uh... no. I think it would be neat, but I’m much too lazy for that. I do think about my Ocs while I listen to music though.

6) What’s your biggest sims-related achievement?

Oh dear. I don’t know. Maybe when I discovered how to place triangle shaped floor tiles, lol. 

7) How often do you play the sims?

It depends. Sometimes it’s every day. Other times it’s lucky if I play it once a week, or once every two weeks.

8) Do you like actually playing the game or telling stories through sims more?

I don’t think I have the talent for telling stories through the sims, so I only play the game. 

9) Do you have a sim who you think deserved more love from you? Who is it?

Well, my sims that are not fandom related certainly would like to be played more, so I would say all of them. 

10) Why did you create a simblr?

I made my tumblr account because I like the convenience of having everyone I was following in one place (I was just bookmarking blogs before), and I thought, why not post my own sims. It also gives me a creative outlet. 

Amphorasims’ questions:

1. How did you find out about the Sims series?

My sister showed me some fandom based sims, sometime before 2013. Maybe a couple years before. I think the fandom was Batman, and Bruce parents were hanging around as ghosts. I don’t know.  I’m very sure it was the sims 3, though. 

2.  When did you first start playing the Sims? (Any iteration counts)

Technically, I think I played the sims 3 first on a cousin’s computer... I don’t really remember when. As I said before, though, I think it was sometime before 2013, but I’m not sure.

3. Funniest simming moment or glitch? (Show pictures if you have any!)

I had trouble deciding, but I think this...

4. Which is your favorite: Sims 1, 2, 3 or 4? Why is it your favorite?

Sims 3, obviously. I like it because of the freedom of the world, the graphics being at just the right spot between being super realistic and cartoony, and the create a style tool.

5. Supernatural sims or normal sims?

Supernatural sims! Especially if they aren’t connected to a fandom.

6. Who shot first: Han Solo or Greedo? (Sorry. Currently watching Star Wars and had to ask :P)

I have watched the Star Wars films (all of the first two trilogies and the Force Awakens, except for the last half of the third of the prequels), but I don’t remember this particular scene. Sorry. :p

7. Your favorite life stage?

Young adult/adult... but it’s tied with toddler. 

8. Favorite sims death?

I didn’t show it, but Bendy died once. It was pretty sad and a little pathetic. First he stayed out in the sun for way too long and fainted. Then he couldn’t sustain his thirst bar with just the plasma packs. He ended up dying of thirst in his sleep. Then the Grim Reaper spawned in the room beside where his body was, and his ghost ended up outside in the hall. It was very unexpected and tragic, with a little bit of stupid. I exited the game without saving after that, but here’s some screenshots I took.

9. Have you ever made a simself?

Yes, and here she is.

10. Your favorite traits from the game?

Insane and neat. Insane because they’re interesting to watch. They’re always doing such random things. Neat, because they clean up after themselves.

Gameplay Replies

I’m so annoyed! I worked on a document for like four hours last night, saved it to my Google Drive, and then printed it at work today. BUT it hadn’t synced so I printed an old version THEN I saved it, thus undoing all of my work. And the document was for a meeting so I looked like a real jackass (luckily it was a one-on-one with my sympathetic boss). So now I have a bunch of work to redo. I just wanted to vent.

Richie Rich Haha!!! I remember when I was that age and going to see The Dark Crystal - we queued for hours and got to the entrance to be told "It's full sorry!" So we went to Mcdonalds instead :D OK day 5/10 :D

Omg, The Dark Crystal—I saw that when I was about six and it made me cry. XD Still a good movie. And McDonald’s is the next best thing to a movie (as a kid, of course).

Wow, I’m torn between “wow, that’s crazy!” and “wow, that’s badass!” Honestly I don’t think it’d be TOO hard to steal a police car, because I’ve noticed several times that officers have left them running or unlocked.

I haven’t! I honestly haven’t played that many traits. I need to make some sims with traits I’ve never used (dramatic is one of them).

These are really fantastic - and can be used for more than just pregnancy testing; letters, a ring, a baby hamster :p all of these could fit with these poses. Nice job!

Oh wow, a ring could possibly work with some of them…I’ll need to test it out. A baby hamster would probably be a little squished, though.
