just saw the barbie movie and honestly i can't believe there aren't more posts about Gloria??? like i understand that it was The Barbie Movie and Barbie is the main character and it's About Her, but it's only about her because it's actually deep down about Gloria
#mj talks#barbie 2023#i don't know i just think that Gloria was the actual heart and center of the movie#a woman felt so out of place in her own life and left behind by the passage of time#that these feelings brought to life and forever changed someone in another dimension#like. Gloria's loneliness is the only reason any of this happened#and her love and kindness and continued grasp on hope is why anything got solved#yes barbie had an incredible transformation and you love to see it!#but can we please talk about Gloria?#the woman who still has enough childlike wonder in her to keep a barbie at her desk#the woman who makes up funny ironic dolls to deal with her own overwhelming emotions#the woman who hears that barbie is real and IMMEDIATELY decides she needs to help her#i loved the moment when she said she was going to help barbie because she wanted to!#because she never gets anything she wants anymore and this is something she wants to do!#YES we are going with barbie to barbieland. NO i am not going to feel ashamed about it.#Gloria shows that we don't have to be ashamed of our interests and our femininity as we age#keep that childlike sense of wonder! hold on to that imagination!#idk i just had a lot of feelings about gloria

âwhoâs afraid of little old me?
you should be,â
She remembered when she was little when she would wake up so early even the birds hadnât uttered a morning chirp, her stomach grumbling because she usually hated the fancy stuff they had for dinner and ended up leaving it on her plate. She remembered thinking her mother would be no use, that Elizabeth would tell her to go straight back to bed, even if she whined and cried that she wanted breakfast, remembered thinking Louise, the au pair that usually took the morning shift, wouldnât be in for another hour or so, and she certainly wasnât tall enough to reach the cabinets yet.Â
Which left her with Emily.Â
Nineteen year old Emily, who was already in and out of the house with college, her hair a box dyed black, singed from all the crimping and hair spray. Emily, who liked to take her to the park even if she pretended she was too old, who played Barbies with her and helped her cut all their hair off probably because she figured that was better than her constant urge to do whacky things with her own locks. Emily, who had never wanted a little sister really until Elizabeth had brought home the carrier and suddenly she had never loved ten chubby fingers and toes so much.
She remembered waking Emily up, usually by pulling herself up onto her sisterâs MĂśtley CrĂźe themed bedding and prodding at the girlâs shoulder until she stirred, how Emily would lead her down the long, ornate hallway into the kitchen, when the only sound in the house would be their bare feet padding along the cold tiles. How Emily would yank two bowls out of the cupboard, tipping a generous dose of coco pops in each of them, back when they were full of sugar and real chocolate, not the healthy crap they sold nowadays.Â
It would just be the two of them at the breakfast table, crunching on their spoons, five year old Bugsy no doubt dribbling the brown milk down her chin and pyjama top, but she was happy. Because she had her big sister.
She stared down at the dregs of cocoa that whirled into the white milk as the cereal sat there longer, because she was only picking at it really, and it had nothing to do with the fact she was almost certain they had changed the recipe since she was little.Â
âI was thinking,â She said after a moment or so, while Spencer pottered around the kitchen, fixing them both a pot of coffee that she usually was usually bouncing over to grab at this point in the morning. Except today she felt sluggish, lost in that maze of thoughts that only Spencer could really unpick, and the second sheâd started speaking his head whipped over the counter to where she idly stirred her breakfast, âAbout what you said when Gideon⌠We could probably afford to start looking at buying a house soon, what with the mortgage rates dropping,âÂ
She looked up at him hopefully, hoping he couldnât sense the hesitation on her breath because he usually knew what she was thinking before she said anything, and for once she wished he didnât have that crazy ability to read her mind, only to see him with a small if not saddened smile.Â
When Gideon had passed, Spencer had gotten in his head that they needed to leave the apartment, that if the Jason Gideon could have been caught unaware, then they werenât safe either. Of course he hadnât meant it, at least not entirely, but Gideon passing had spun the logic half of his brain that spouted the statistics that they were no more in danger now than they were before heâd gone, but still it was something heâd been thinking about. A house meant more space; more space meant they could stop tripping over each other's laundry, meant they could get the bigger shower theyâd always talked about, maybe even a tub. A house meant the garden he knew he always wanted Niko and Sergio to have now they were grey around the whiskers and couldnât run so fast.Â
âI think thatâs a great idea,â Spencer said, picking up their mugs of steaming hot goodness and carefully stepping towards her, gently sliding the drink over to her as the liquid sloshed and threatened to dip over the edge, âIs there any place you want to look?âÂ
He left his own mug in favour of circling his arms around her shoulders and pulling her in for a soft hug, her head falling beneath his chin where she sat on the barstool.Â
Kissing her hairline gently, she heard him inhale her shampoo scent, and she plonked her spoon back in the bowl to wrap her arms around his waist, squeezing herself into every crevice that they werenât already touching.Â
âI donât care,â She said, tilting her head to look up at him with love sick eyes, only to see him already besottedly gazing at her, and she guessed by the way his lips draw up at the corners that he didnât realise he was still smiling, âAnywhere with you is good enough for me,âÂ
He looked down at her in that way he usually did, expression soft and sweet and entranced, but she saw the traces of worry in his gaze, âYou feeling okay? Today is going to be⌠hard,âÂ
Bugsyâs expression faltered slightly, and she turned away to push her face into his stomach so he wouldnât see the doubt lingering in her eyes. She nodded anyway, even though she knew he would catch her in the lie.
After Scratch, Hotch had ordered her to take three months off for a psych evaluation, had granted Spencer at least a month of holiday to watch over her because he knew Reidâs head would be all over the place with worry if heâd returned to work without her. It was like asking Garcia to leave her computers and fluffy pens at home; it just wouldnât work.Â
By the time she was cleared to come back, despite the recurring nightmares of that day still eating away at her sleep, Hotch had set her up to work solely from the office, strictly no field work.
He liked to think it was for her own safety, for her own good since he saw the way she pounded coffee like it was juice while Spencer lingered around her with a worried stare. But if he had to be honest with himself, Hotch couldnât get away from the things Scratch had made him see just as much as she couldnât. He couldnât escape seeing her throat slit like she was a lamb for slaughter, the life leaving her eyes as she faded away. And it was the thought of her carotid artery spraying over his boots that made him want to lock her up in bubble wrap and never let her go.Â
But that was feasible in their job, not really. So desk duty it was.Â
âYou donât have to go with us into the field, you can always stay with Hotch and Garcia,â He offered, stroking her hair behind her ear and tempting her to look back up at him with gentle fingertips under her chin, and when she saw the unease in the muddy hues, she squeezed him tighter, knowing the past five months had been just as hard on him.Â
âNo, I want to,â She protested gently, her hands weaselling under his shirt and onto the warm, soft skin of his back, pawing at him like a cat trying to settle. âIf youâre being made this womanâs number one target, I want to be there on stand by,âÂ
And he couldnât really argue. Because no matter what frame of mind he was in, even if it had been him captured and tortured, he would never let her go out as bait and not be there breathing down her neck.Â
He sighed, the urge to protest stuck in his throat and all he could think to do was bring his lips to hers gently in a soft kiss, because his resistance to her being put in the line of danger would only be futile.Â
She hummed into the kiss, his hands skirting over her back and she swore she would be content if the rest of her life was spent in Spencerâs arms, in the warm mornings at their kitchen table just the two of them, and the idea of that last part spun her stomach into turmoil all over again.Â
What if he freaked out? No, scratch that, he was definitely going to freak out. Spencer hated change, hated having things dropped on him, and Diana was already getting worse with the symptoms of Alzheimers she had begun presenting. He had more than enough on his plate as it was, and she knew she was the only thing that could keep his head from exploding with the worry, even if she was sometimes the cause of it. Heâs always been a worrier, and part of her despised herself for the fact that he had shot out of bed every single night sheâd been in the midst of a night terror, when the room spun and Peter Lewis seemed so real and so close and she woke up screaming. Because sheâd brought him enough stress and trouble, and now she had an extra helping of it dished up and ready.Â
It wasnât one of those things she could keep to herself, not even if she so desperately wanted to sit on it and mull it over for a few months. She needed to tell him soon.Â
Spencer looked down at her eyes, the way theyâd glazed over slightly, and he wished he could crawl into the space where her thoughts bounced between one another if it meant he could figure out what had gotten her so twisted up the past few weeks. She hadnât been herself entirely since Scratch, but she had been getting better. Sheâd started getting more sleep, seemed less jumpy when they were in the quiet of their apartment, and part of him thought maybe that was why she wanted to look at houses. A fresh start. And yet overnight, sheâd had this guilty look in her eye like she was suddenly a million miles away, and he hated it. Bugsy had never been distant, which seemed odd to think considering she was burying her hands and face into him like she had no intention of letting him leave. But there was something in the depths of her brilliantly big mind that seemed to hold her tongue for her.
He kissed her again, hoping it was all in his head, hoping she wouldnât keep things from him because it was them and they always told each other everything. Even if it was gross and weird and inappropriate, everything.Â
And he thought maybe it was because he was going on a date with another woman, using himself as live bait to flirt and charm and seduce an assassin in order to take her into custody without fuss. Yeah, that was probably it. He couldnât say he would be all too pleased if it had been the other way around and he would be watching her ravish another man even if it was just for the job.Â
That was definitely it. There couldnât be anything else.Â
âYou know I love you,â He said as a statement, yet she nodded as though it was a question, and he kissed her again because heâd regretted not doing it a hundred times a day the second heâd seen her in that closet, regretted not seeing the fact she was more than likely uncomfortable with her boyfriend of two years wining and dining a murderer. âWhatever I say when Iâm there with her, you know I love you, more than I could ever love anything else,âÂ
He seemed so sincere, his eyes turning into that soft puppy like frown, and it only served to drive the knife in deeper as she nodded, her hands wrapping into his hair and pulling him down to kiss her again, this time just a little harder like his lips could wipe away the pit in her stomach. Because it was Spencer, and she was lying by omission, and god did she need him to know how much she loved him before things went wrong and they changed and-
âWe have a little time right?â She said, his hands taking the hint as they pulled her to her feet gently, cereal long forgotten in a chocolate slush, and his hands reached down to cup her ass in the way he was more than used to doing now. Didnât stop him from blushing however.Â
âY-yeah we have time,â He said, and she barely let him finish his sentence before sheâd claimed his mouth again, not that he was complaining. She looped her fingers through his belt buckle, stepping backwards with his guidance towards their bedroom, and he hummed through a moan when he felt her run the other hand through his already messy bedhead, tugging on the ends of his curls gently.
âGood,â She responded, with a drop of that natural Bugsy cheekiness he was used to, and the sound of it made him smile. Maybe it was just the job after all, âI think I need a demonstration on just how much you donât mean whatever you need to say to her,âÂ
He smirked, because she was more like herself than she had been in days, and god was she pretty when she smiled at him before they had sex, like she knew what was coming, like she knew what she did to him. He wouldnât be surprised if she could hear his heart thumping in her ears just as clearly as he could.Â
âI think youâll need multiple demonstrations,â He said, his fingers looping in between her buttons on her trousers and popping them apart softly because theyâd done this before, rushed it so they werenât late for work, and ended up ripping good jeans, âGather multiple sets of data before you draw a conclusion,âÂ
He kissed down her neck and her small laugh became a moan, âI think itâs pretty much the only way, Doctor Reid,â
He laughed, and she felt it against her pulse, the sound of it making her shiver as he shoved the door open with little remorse for the way it slammed into the wall. And she made a promise to herself that once theyâd caught their UnSub, she would tell him, even if it meant all of this would change.Â
â
He arrived at the restaurant five minutes early, his suit steamed and neat, a single red rose in his hand. His skin was already crawling at the idea of flirting with another woman, but Spencer knew none of it was real, knew he was just doing his job. Still it didnât diminish the desire to glance where Bugsy and Rossi were sat in a booth, because heâd seen her in that red dress a thousand times before, and yet it still made his jaw drop the second he saw her in it. Â
The brief had been black tie, something to fit in with the five star restaurant, and god had she delivered. He ought to have protested, told her that she was too distracting and maybe insisted she stayed in the office if she looked so striking, but then again she could have worn a bin bag for all he cared, he would still be fighting the urge to look over at her.Â
He chose the seat with Bugsy at his back as to eliminate his urge to stare at her, because Dave could keep her safe, the rest of his team could watch her, he had to trust that.Â
He lay the rose on the other side of the table, fiddling with the other parts of the cutlery to make sure everything looked perfect, even though in his mind he was thinking of all the things Bugsy would have been saying if she was his date tonight. She probably would have made a comment on his suit (she already had before theyâd even stepped out the hotel, just as heâd given her arse a quick squeeze with cheeks even more crimson than her dress because she looked divine), probably would have offered to go to the in-and-out down the street instead because she never cared about splashing out on dates, just being with him was enough.Â
Adjusting his jacket a little, he waited, trying to keep his head far away from his girlfriend, although that was much easier said than done. He couldnât remember what his brain was like before it was filled with thoughts of her.
The ring sat in his sock drawer, buried in one of his older pairs that he hoped she wouldnât go after since heâd made the mistake of putting it in with his boxers and almost got caught within a day when she went to steal some ready for bed and heâd chided himself for the sloppy work. He knew he wanted to ask her, thought he might even bring her to a fancy place like this, maybe prepare a small speech that attempted to tell her how much she meant to him even though he knew there wasnât enough words for such a thing. Would he hide it in the cake? No that would be cheesy, she found cheesy overdone. Would she even like it done in public? No, she would hate that, he would wait until they got home, maybe even try that thing sheâd wanted to do in bed for a few weeks, and then when they were done-
âSpencer?â A woman appeared at the table, a woman who by all accounts was objectively pretty, yet he felt that small kick of victory when he recognised her from the FBI database.Â
Cat Adams. Assassin. Mastermind. UnSub.Â
âCat?â He said with practised naivety, and this time he forced all thoughts of his loving girlfriend from his head like they were about to be tainted by the woman standing in front of him, âHi,â
âHi,â She replied, her grin too bright and sparkly for anyone to ever guess she was a killer though he supposed that was the point,
âHello, itâs nice to finally-â He cut himself off when she leaned up to hug him, her face drawing closer to his suddenly and she looked like she was gearing up for a peck on the lips. Forward. Much more forward than heâd given her credit for, and his stomach flipped in discomfort as he leaned away, âOh s-sorry, I have kind of a germ thing,â He excused, which wasnât a total lie.Â
Also my girlfriend is sat ten feet away and I can already hear her clenching a fork ready to ball your eyes out like a melon, he wanted to say, though he kept his snark to himself.Â
âOh, sorry,â Cat said, holding her hands up in surrender, and looking up at him with what he knew to be false innocence. But he played along, because the sooner they caught her, the sooner he could be done with the entire thing.
âIâm kinda weird with hugs,â He explained, his face boyish as he gestured her to take a seat, because at least then he could put some distance between them, âPlease, sit down,â
She smiled dizzily, slipping her jacket off to reveal a blue dress that accentuated her pixie short hair, her collar bones that could cut glass, her small, sleek figure, and she adjusted her straps as an excuse to divert his attention to her breasts.
âThatâs like the oldest trick in the book, get some new material, bitch,â Bugsy mumbled under her breath, drowning her venom in sparkling apple juice disguised as champagne from where they sat in a dark corner booth and Rossi chuckled, shaking his head.Â
âI wouldnât worry about boy genius having a wandering eye, kid. Reid is more devout than my mother on Easter Sunday,â He said, picking at the starter theyâd ordered as a way to seem busy. She hummed, diverting her attention into her chicken salad, making sure she wasnât looking at the happy couple for too long as they talked awkwardly, âDo you think you could take her?â
âI know I could take her,â Bugsy responded in a clipped tone, and Rossi sniggered, and they heard Tara and Derek do the same down their earpieces.Â
âIt was a joke,â Cat said, to something they hadnât quite caught, though by the looks of it they were still just making small talk, âA bad joke,â
âNo, no, it was funny,â Spencer said reassuringly, and he chuckled, though Bugsy knew off the bat it was fake because she loved making him laugh and it sounded nothing like that. They fell into an awkward silence and she could hear Spencer scrambling for things to talk about because if she walked away their lead to the other assassin went right with her.Â
âCan we start over? Hi, Iâm Cat,â The woman said, fixing her skirt with a shy smile. She certainly didnât seem like a killer, Bugsy thought, where she glanced at her in her peripheral. She certainly was pretty, spritely even. A little too eager to kiss a guy she just met.Â
âHi, Iâm Spencer,â He replied, in that nervous tone he usually got when she flustered him.Â
âIs it true you have three PHDs?â Cat asked with, well, cat-like eyes flicking between sly and seductive, and Bugsy could see how any man who wasnât as smart as her boyfriend would fall for the act.
âYes, thatâs true. I do have three PHDs,âÂ
âWhatâs your favourite book you read last year?â She pressed and Bugsy sipped her juice to stop herself from answering for him.
âIâve honestly never read a book I havenât loved,â He said, deflecting the subject, while his girlfriend smirked into her almost empty plate.Â
Demons by Fydor Dostoevsky, she corrected to herself because she knew heâd gone back to it more than a handful of times.Â
âTell me about your wife,â Cat went in for the kill, her timid smile morphing into something wicked as she watched Spencer squirm.Â
And the second sheâd said it something had reared its ugly head inside him. Because try as hard as he might, all he could think about was Bugsyâs face and that damn ring.Â
âIf you donât mind, Iâd erâŚâ He cleared his throat, wondering why it was so difficult to get through a single conversation when theyâd ran through the plan a million times. He knew she would ask, and yet all he could do was get defensive thinking about Cat damn Adams setting her hands on the woman he wanted desperately to marry, âIâd rather not talk about her,â
âMight as well get it out in the open right? I mean, itâs why weâre here,â She said smugly, like that innocent bounce in her step had wiped right away, revealing the murderess underneath, âHow long have you been married?â
âFour years,â He lied, though he thought back to JJâs wedding that same amount of time ago and how beautiful she looked in her dress and her cast and how heâd wished it was theirs.Â
âWhen is she due to give birth?â Catâs eyes narrowed at the man, pushing her hair behind her ear in a playful manner.Â
Bugsy stopped, licking her lips and hoping Rossi wasnât watching her as she finished off the last of her sparkling juice, raising a hand to a passing waiter to order a second round.Â
âYou having another one, Grandpa?â She said innocently, despite the stink eye he gave her and nodding to the non-alcoholic beer heâd ordered.Â
âWatch yourself,â He said as the waiter retreated, and she snickered into her meal, âGrandpa will knock you on your ass,âÂ
âYou would never, Hotch would hate that kind of paperwork,â She said setting her cutlery on the side of her plate to signal she was done, âHR would have a field day,â
âI wanna hear you say it,â The line crackled in their ear as Bugsyâs drink arrived at the table, and she couldnât help but think the womanâs seductive voice could easily pass for a call girl. She chanced a quick look over at their table, her heart rate spiking when she saw the woman all but eye fucking Spencer with a bit of her lip, like the thrill of the chase was half the fun for her, and Bugsy felt the disgust settle in her stomach.Â
âTo have her killed,â Spence replied, and she looked away then, the bitterness settling on her bottom lip in a sneer. She didnât think for one second that Spencer would think the woman was alluring, it didnât make him flirting any easier to watch.Â
The UnSub smiled wryly, looking down at his arm, âLet me see your ring,â
Spencer froze, holding his hand out hesitantly, the feeling of the gold band entirely alien on his finger even though he was trying to get used to it for the sake of the case. Catâs hand shot out like a snake striking, holding his ring in between her perfectly manicured fingers, her eyes roving over the jewel.
âYou know what that is?â She said with contempt, shaking her head, âA noose, only it doesn't kill you all at once it kills you slowly, day by day,âÂ
And he couldnât have disagreed more, in fact the only thing that was killing him was the fact he had been dumb enough to wait so long to propose to the woman he loved more than life itself.Â
Spencer Reid, dumb and in love.
âYou ever feel that way?â She said, ripping him out of his thoughts, and he nodded wordlessly, sighing for effect.
âI feel that way all the timeâ Except his every day was spent wondering just how he ever got so lucky, how he managed to fall in love with the same woman who gave him apple cake when he couldnât remember the last real meal heâd had because he was three months deep in an opioid addiction and having her look at him like he hung the damn cosmos.Â
âTake it off,â She ordered, and Spencer tried flashing her a surprised if not charmed smile, though his hackles were slightly raised, âAs a sign of your commitment. To me,âÂ
He bit his cheek, knowing better than to argue back if he was playing the part of the down beaten husband, and began twisting the gold ring off his wedding finger, handing it over to her expectant palm.Â
âIf she sticks to the pattern, sheâll take him to a secondary location and then kill him.â JJ observed, sipping on her mocktail in her own fancy, ruffled dress, shooting Tara and Derek a look where they played the part of a sweet couple on a date.Â
âIâd like to see the bitch try,â Bugsy said through a wide fake smile, her face showing no symptoms of anger except the flash of teeth.Â
âDonât worry sweetheart, weâre not letting it get that far,â Rossi added, and the two of them clinked their drinks together in a ringing chink, âHotch, do you two have a visual?â
Penelope confirmed with a few taps of her keyboard, and Hotch nodded as Spencer confirmed with a small flick of his eyes he could hear the feed, âAlright, all agents stand by. Dr Reid will give the green light, donât move until we have it,âÂ
âTwenty four carats?â Cat asked, twisting the ring in between her fingers with a smug grin like she already knew the answer.Â
âYeah,â Spencer replied, looking down at the band and back up the soulless dark hues of the black widow woman.Â
âTwenty four k times⌠four years. Means this ring should be dinged and nicked, but,â She huffed, reaching into her purse under the table, and Bugsy damn near spat out her juice when she heard a gun load through the mic, âThis sucker is brand new. Youâre not married.â
âWhat was that, was that what I think it was?â Penelopeâs stressed tone rushed through the ear piece, and the sound of it plus the smell of the chicken sheâd just eaten made Bugsyâs stomach turn again.Â
Except this time she felt it coming up into her throat, the same way sheâd found herself feeling queasy for a few days. Spencer had thought she had a stomach bug, had tried to get her to stay home with some mint tea, but this was more than the last few times. It was like her anxiety clenched her gut in a tight grip and twisted painfully, and she lurched forward, slapping a hand over her mouth.Â
âKid?â Rossi said, his brows frowning at the expression on her face, and she immediately began untucking her napkin from her chest.Â
She needed to make it to the bathroom now, hoped on everything that the sudden movement didnât distract where Cat held a gun to Spencerâs midriff beneath the table.Â
âWhat is she doing?â Morgan hissed into the mic, while Hotch and Penelope began barking protests.Â
âOh, good lord, Bug, stay down, you donât know what that psycho is going to do!â Penelope squealed, watching Bugsy rush out of the booth seat, a hand firmly over her lips, and Aaron brought a hand to his head, a splitting headache forming at the sight of the youngest agent rushing for the bathroom.Â
âPrentiss, what are you doing, you could blow your cover,â He snapped, though there was no anger there, and she could only switch her mic off for what was about to happen, knowing the team had much bigger things to worry about.Â
Bursting the doors open, she dived for the nearest stall and fell to her knees, head in the bowl before she could hock up her guts over the floor, and then came a horrid retching sound.Â
Spencerâs eyes widened at the table, hearing his team yelling out orders at the one person he couldnât keep track of, and it took everything in him not to turn in his seat to investigate for himself what happened for her to flee the safety of the table, or go after her even. Because even if he wanted to, even if he needed nothing more than to make sure she was okay, he couldnât move an inch. Not with the gun being pointed at all of his important organs by the experienced killer with a smile.
âDo you know why Iâm so good at my job?â Cat asked in a sweet tone, her eyes cold and calculating as she cocked the gun beneath the seat.Â
âBecause you kill without compunction or remorse,â Spencer bit, the flirty look in his expression long gone the second heâd heard the rest of his team calling for his girlfriend. He needed to keep his head, Bugsy was safe so long as she was far away from the woman pointing the gun at him. Having the weapon aiming for him he could deal with.Â
âThat only gets a girl so far in life,â Cat agreed with a nod, her jaw setting in a hard clench, âNo, itâs because I think through every possible outcome and then I plan accordingly,â
And Bugsyâs stomach seized hearing her voice so cold and viscous, and she would give anything to hear her partner flirting with that bitch of a woman if it meant she knew he was safe. She emptied her stomach again right as she heard their UnSub speak once more.
âYou see, I didnât walk into your trap. You walked into mine,â
And with that Bugsy gave another hurl.
â
âSpencer, why did you take time off from the FBI?â Cat insisted, her voice nails on a chalkboard, and he felt the apathy on his face flick into slight annoyance.Â
Bugsy. Because Bugsy had been ill, because she hadnât been sleeping, because she hadnât been herself for a few months, because his mom had gotten worse, because they needed him.Â
Spencer would take the bullet before he ever told her about Bugsy, because he knew for a woman who loved male attention, telling her about the girl he loved most in the world would only draw a big target on her back, and he would never dare to put her at risk. Never again.Â
Not a single hair on her head, heâd promised. Not even a scratch.Â
âYou can ask me as many times as you want but Iâm still not going to tell you,â He snipped, making sure to keep his face expressionless if he really wanted to sell the deal that she was a nobody to him.
Her mouth tightened in frustration, âThen youâre cheating, and I donât like cheaters,â
âYou donât get everything you want just because youâre pointing a gun at me under the table.â He stated blankly, his team waiting on bated breath to see if they needed to send in their back up since JJâs cover had already been blown. âYouâre not the first killer to point a gun at me, youâre not even the first woman to point a gun at me. Sorry.âÂ
Catâs smile shifted into something akin to a snarl, and she leaned forward on her elbows, and Spencer matched her challenge with cool ease. âYouâre really gonna take this all the way, arenât you?âÂ
And Spencer smiled wryly, because her composure was collapsing beneath her, âYeah,â
âSo am I,âÂ
âDave, go,â Hotch ordered, and Rossi drew his gun beneath a napkin, shuffling to his feet, âPrentiss, where the hell are you?âÂ
And she knew she was wasting time, but her stomach had picked the worst time to flip. Perhaps it was the anxiety, or the pressure of a gun being pointed at her love, or maybe it was bad chicken. Either way her mouth felt like it was stuffed with cotton, her legs weak where sheâd crouched on the floor, and she chided herself for not being able to pull it together when Spencer needed her.Â
And as if her nerves werenât rattled enough, she heard Spencerâs mic mute out, and she knew then that the time for sticking her head in the bowl and screaming at herself to get up was over. Spencer was in trouble. Two of their agents' cover was blown. With Tara and Derek sitting the opposite end of the restaurant, he was alone if Cat Adams decided to pull that trigger.Â
Spitting the rancid taste from her mouth into the toilet, she reached up for the flush, wiping her mouth with a handful of toilet paper.Â
âHotch,â She tuned in, and she heard the sighs of relief as he and Penelope seemed to both ease slightly at hearing her voice, âIâm back, howâs Rossi?â
âHis coverâs blown, heâs heading out to find JJ,â Hotch responded, his heart rate in his throat the second heâd heard her sound through. He knew it would be unfair if he pulled her from field work for another three months, but the second sheâd disappeared from their screens, heâd already began thinking of the excuse he could give if it meant he knew she was kept out of harmâs way, âWhere are you, are you hurt?âÂ
âNo, no, just,â She cleared her throat, leaving the stall and heading for the sinks, âBad chicken I guess,â
Taking a handful of cold water up to her mouth, she swilled the liquid around to try freshen herself up, sputtering it back into the sink and running the back of her hand over her lips.Â
âDo you need to get out of there?â Hotch asked, the concern thick in his tone, almost as clear as it was on his brow as he leaned in to Penelopeâs monitor, âLewis and Morgan have got eyes-â
âNo, Iâm not leaving him out there,â She protested, leaning over the sink with an exhausted huff, âI canât head back to the table, sheâll know I was with Rossi,âÂ
And as if she had spoken a plea to the universe, one of the waitresses waltzed through the bathroom door carrying glass cleaner and a bunch of fresh toilet paper under her arm, smiling sweetly at Bugsy who seemed like any other patron of their restaurant.Â
Her eyes snapped over the girlâs body, figuring she was about the same size, perhaps a tiny bit bigger than herself, she almost audibly heard the click of the idea and before she knew it she had reached out to grab the girlâs attention.Â
She just hoped it worked, because otherwise the scolding she was going to receive from Hotch wouldnât be worth it in the slightest.Â
âHereâs what Iâm gonna do, Iâm gonna penalise you by adding ten minutes because I actually did learn something important.â Cat said with a smirk, her finger flicking over the clock on his phone as she prolonged the countdown, and Spencer squirmed where she shuffled closer to him, close enough that their knees were touching and he could feel where the toe of her heels were teasingly stroking up his calf, like threatening him and his team for information was getting her off. He felt filthy, like heâd need a dozen showers before he fell into his girlfriendâs arms, and part of him considered skipping the whole dinner and speech, asking her the second he saw her again if she would be his wife.Â
Because this, having another woman so close, was making him sick.Â
âOh really? Whatâs that?â He snapped, his patience wearing thin as his lips pressed in a straight line.Â
âYour back up, I flushed them out,â She replied with a smirk, looking around the room with an arrogance Spencer wished he could wipe right off of her face, âItâs just me and you now,âÂ
âHi, how are we all doing this wonderful evening?â A chirpy voice came from the end of the table, slamming two menus down between them hard enough that their attention snapped to her immediately. Spencer felt his eyes morph into horror, though he fought hard to hide it, as he saw a familiar face, the same one that had been running through his mind since, well, forever. Her red dress was gone, replaced with a maroon shirt and a black pencil skirt, her hair tied back in a neat bun and she had a pen pushed behind her ear for good measure as she smiled at them tightly.Â
Bugsy had really done it this time.Â
âMy name is Emily and Iâll be your waitress. Can I get you started with some drinks?â
â
âPrentiss, what in godâs name have you done?â Hotch barked, as she waltzed behind the bar, ignoring the looks from the barman that clearly had never seen her working there before.Â
âIâm making sure Spencer has back up if she decides to get trigger happy,â She bit back, snagging a pitcher of water from the fridge and two crystalline glasses, placing them on an upturned tray.Â
âAnd what happens if she gets trigger happy towards the waitress that wonât leave them alone?â Morgan snipped, shooting her a look where their table faced the long, walnut coloured bar that wrapped around the back of the establishment.Â
âWell then, I guess we pray thereâs a doctor in the house that isn't Spencer,â She huffed, plastering a fake smile on her lips, and carefully shuffling the tray onto her palm, âYouâre going to have to take me out yourselves if you think Iâm leaving him there alone,â
And they huffed, Hotch running a hand through his hair. Because they knew she wasnât kidding. God help the man who tried to stop Bugsy when she had her mind to something.Â
And with that resounding silence, she listened to Spencerâs mic, hoping to catch a foot in to the conversation.
âYou should have seen right through me the moment you walked in, but you didnât,â He said, and she didnât need to take a glance at Catâs face to know she was getting more than riled up. Why was she here? What happened to staying with Rossi where it was safe? It was her first day back in the field, what was she doing? He didnât think heâd ever been so angry, though he knew if he scratched the surface of the feeling heâd find it was fear. And unfortunately for the woman sat opposite him, heâd stopped pulling his punches because of it. âYou couldnât. Because you canât get to the man you really want to hurt, so you need to hurt every man who reminds you of him,â
Catâs face flashed with what he could have sworn was hurt, before her eyes steeled back over and she shrugged nonchalantly, as if he hadnât hit straight home, âThatâs kind of boiler plate psychology, isnât it? Iâm just another girl with daddy issues,âÂ
âYouâd be surprised how many killers do what they do because of their parents,â He snapped back, because he couldnât dare take his eyes from their UnSub, no matter how desperately his gut told him to check on Bugsy. âIf itâs so boilerplate, let's test that theory. How hard did you look for him?â
Her mouth screwed up in bitterness, âVery hard,â
âAnd how disappointed were you when you realised you will never find him?â Spencer drove the knife in deeper, watching Catâs resolve fade under his hateful stare, âYou needed some other outlet for your rage and for a while this worked, but it also tripped you up,âÂ
And Bugsy stopped, because Spencer always had a way of saying the exact right thing that made her brain tick into genius, like everything about him made her the best version of herself even if he didnât mean to. That was what tripped her up. Her father.Â
âHotch, itâs her dad,â She murmured, flashing a couple of customers an easy smile as she took the plates off their table, because Cat would catch on way too fast if she seemed to be the only person not be doing a job, âThatâs what she wants, thatâs her endgame,âÂ
And there was only a single second between them, before Hotch caught up to that wonderfully big brain of hers, âSerial killers with an endgame will do anything to get to them, even if it means taking themselves down with it,â
âWhy would I make you sit here for thirty minutes?â Catâs voice crawled down her ear piece as she burst through the kitchen doors, dumping the plates at the pot wash and looking to where JJ and Rossi were talking with the manager.Â
âBecause youâre stalling,â Spencer said, though he didnât have that usual tone that told her he was sure of himself, and she knew from the direction it was going that something was missing. Theyâd missed something, otherwise theyâd have Cat in cuffs by now.
âThen you donât know me at all,â She hissed back, and Bugsy shook her nerves out through her fingers, peeking at where they were sat through the thin glass pane on the door, âDo you think I would show up here without an escape plan. Or is that just what another girl with daddy issues would do? Maybe if you hadnât fallen victim to your own gender bias, and yes all men have gender bias, even you Dr Reid, you would have recognized that your entire strategy was based on one faulty detail. Can you see it?âÂ
Spencer paused, his frown shifting on his face, âYouâre not here alone,âÂ
âAnd my partner? Less paranoid than you think,â She said, and by the sounds of it the smirk was back on her face, and Bugsy fought the sneer twitching at her lips.Â
âYou planted a bomb in the building,â Came Spencer's response, the grave realisation setting all three agents into motion. JJâs head whirled to where their youngest stood by the door, her eyes widening at her partnerâs words.Â
And for a second she wanted to beg Bugsy to take cover outside, to get out while she still could, because it had been a miracle the last time a building had exploded around her and sheâd only broken a few bones. JJ didnât think she could stand to grieve her for good, not the girl who had already gone through so much for them. All because they had missed it.Â
But she knew better, knew Bugsy would fight tooth and nail to stay if Spencer was still in the building. Knew that that argument would only be futile, a waste of time, because the Prentiss girl was not leaving.Â
âWeâll go check it out, you stay put,â JJ ordered, drawing her gun to her side as Rossi did the same and Bugsy nodded, âDonât do anything stupid, donât draw attention to yourself, Spencer knows what heâs doing,âÂ
And Bugsy paused before she answered, choosing to give them a slow nod because she already had a good idea of what her next move would be, and it absolutely did not involve staying put.Â
Like hell she would stay put while he was there.Â
With that, JJ and Rossi turned on their heel to head for the stairs leading underneath the building, and Bugsy picked the tray back up, right as Lewis burst through the revolving doors, a serious look on her primped face.Â
âWe need to evacuate,â Tara said, and Bugsy nodded, flicking a look behind her to where the rest of the kitchen seemed to be waiting on their order, because the second JJ had flashed the FBI badge, they had frozen.
âYou get the customers out safely, Iâm going to buy us some time,â Bugsy said, and Tara watched her slip through into the restaurant, the tray pressed against her stomach.Â
This was stupid. Stupider than sheâd ever been, but her thoughts struggled to make sense whenever Spencer was in trouble. And it was like she saw the splash of his brains against the table, the same way sheâd seen it in Lewisâs house all on the ceiling, like she could see now just what his organs would look like when Adams shot him however many time in the abdomen.Â
She couldnât think like that. They would be okay, they would figure it out together, they always did. They always managed to put their heads together when they were in trouble.Â
Being in danger together seemed like a much better bet than having to watch the love of her life killed in the middle of this damn restaurant because she hadnât done anything. She wanted to do everything with him for the rest of her sorry life, and if that meant sitting at the nozzle end of a pistol with him, then so be it.Â
She just hoped he would forgive her quickly.Â
âAll we want to do is-â She heard Spencer begin, the other waiters filtering out of the kitchen with shaken looks on their faces, as they carefully slipped their patrons the bill that had already paid off, asking them to leave calmly and quietly.Â
âMinimise collateral damage, I get it, Iâm not mad,â Cat snapped back, rolling her eyes, âItâll give me the cover I need to slip out. I just need to know itâs clear, so do me a favour and tell your boss that nobody leaves until its safe for me to do so,âÂ
Spencer chewed his tongue. He couldnât let her leave, not when they had her so close, not when they were pursuing Penelope, not when they were so close to catching the woman responsible for so many kills.Â
Spencer hated losing, he hated knowing that she was about to get away because he had been too wrapped up in his overwhelming thoughts to figure out her plan, too busy fretting over the two women who meant the most to him to think ten steps ahead like he usually did.Â
Heâd been sloppy, even though he knew he should cut himself some slack. His fiancee, girlfriend, had been tortured, his mother facing a different kind of terror in her mind altogether. He hadnât been thinking about work, heâd been thinking of the house they were going to buy with the picket fence and the porch swing and the mortgage, and the damn ring-
âWell?â Catâs goading voice ripped him out of his reverie, and he huffed in defeat, âSpencer?â
âYou can leave,â He murmured, the agitation scratching at his skin because he was struggling to think of a final card to play. He was usually so good at games, usually won every single one of them. But his head couldnât settle when Bugsy wasnât near, when he couldnât make sure she was safe.Â
Cat shuffled out of the side of the booth, her eyes flicking across the restaurant for her contact, and Spencer had barely opened his mouth in protest before he watched the UnSub walk straight into a waitress, a false smile slipping on her face as to not raise alarm.Â
âIâm sorry, I wasnât watching where I was-â And yet his breath hitched when he spotted the hair heâd ran his fingers through just that morning yanked into a bun, the lips he could kiss for an entire lifetime curled in disdain, the body he worshipped refusing to move out of the way for the woman in a hurry.Â
And it seemed Cat only realised that the woman who had brought them water wasnât a waitress at all, despite her plain face that had faded into the background, despite the fact Spencer hadnât given her a second glance; Only when she heard a gun cocking behind the serving tray at her stomach did the fake smile drop from Cat Adams face.Â
Because she hadnât flushed out Spencerâs back up. Not while Bugsy was still alive and breathing.Â
âSit back down,â Bugsy growled, keeping her tone low but with enough bite that Catâs eyes narrowed to hide the surprise.Â
âWell, well, seems I hadnât planned for everything, I thought a pretty face like you would know better than to pull a gun on a woman with her finger on the big red button,â Cat said wryly, though Bugsy caught her eyeing up her chest as if to be checking for a bullet vest, âMove out the way, sweetheart. You donât want this to get ugly,â
Spencerâs jaw flexed as he ground his teeth, though he kept his breathing even. What was she doing?Â
He didnât care that he had no more power over her than anyone else on the team, he wanted to drag her out of the room himself if it meant she would stop throwing herself in the way of danger.Â
âUnfortunately, sweetheart, thatâs not happening.â Bugsy snapped back, her expression melting into something rogue, something teasing as she leaned towards Cat with a challenge in her eyes. âYouâre going to sit back down, and Iâm going to show you exactly why you should have accounted for a pretty face like me,âÂ
âYouâre stalling,â Cat snickered, trying to push past the waitress, who wasnât a waitress at all but an FBI agent, only for her hand to shoot out and grab her wrist, tossing the tray on the table.Â
Spencer felt his heart lurch into his throat as he saw both of them pull their guns to waist height, a blink and youâd miss it kind of movement, and it was like heâd seen the game set and matched then and there.Â
Bugsy wasnât backing down. And neither was Cat.
âI make it a habit of knowing what kind of women are going on dates with my boyfriend,â Bugsyâs hand tightened around her wrist, watching the surprise flicker in the womanâs eyes, and she scoffed, âWhat? You really thought all that flirting and nervous glances were real?â
And the woman said nothing, her ego clearly a little hurt, though Bugsy was just sticking to the profile, and the profile said she revelled in male attention.Â
âCat got your tongue?â Bugsy snipped through a grin, even if her chest was pounding at the feeling of the gun pointing at her abdomen, âWell, lucky for you I have a present for you. On the condition you sit back down and play my game,âÂ
âYou think Iâm going to fall for that shit?â Cat seethed. It was one thing to outsmart a man, that was fair game, that was easy pickings for a woman like her. But a woman, a woman who seemed to love playing with her food as much as she did. That was different, âWhat is it, a reduced sentence? The good TV in my two by four cell? You can keep dreaming, I donât want your worthless promises,âÂ
âIâd hardly call your daddy dearest worthless,â Bugsy mused, and she watched Catâs expression falter, âA dead beat drunk maybe, but worthless? A little harsh considering you waited so long to meet him,âÂ
Cat paused, eyes flicking over the womanâs face for any signs of a lie, âYou have my father?â
And Bugsy smirked, âDo I look like Iâm bluffing?â But her face was set in stone, and Cat hated to admit she seemed too confident to be lying, âWhy donât you make this a little easier for everyone and sit back down. Iâm not done with you yet,â
The murderess scowled, her shoulders straightening as she ripped her wrist out of Bugsyâs grip and retreated back to the booth.Â
And it was only then that Bugsy looked at Spencer, his eyes wide in a horrid mix of terror and rage, and it was a sight she swore she never wanted directed at her again. But she couldnât leave him, he had to understand that. Because if all the bets were off, if all the cards were dealt, she knew he would need to be dragged screaming from the building before he left her to deal with a hostile UnSub alone.Â
And Spencer knew that too, of course he knew that. Yet it didnât diminish the sickening worry bubbling up in his chest as the women sat down at the table, and their game had a playing field.Â
âSo, I take it this is the darling wife you wanted killed,â Cat sneered, and Spencer didnât dare take his eyes off the woman with the gun, even if Bugsy did have one pointed right back at her, âI donât blame you, Iâd want to be rid of her too,â
And they both knew it was a dig, a stab in the interest of getting them both riled up. But it wouldnât go far. Because despite the anger Spencer felt dwindling in his chest, he always worked better with her. Like a puzzle piece in the tangle of his mind had clicked into place, and suddenly they were a team again, and she seemed more like herself than she had in months, an ease about the way she leaned back in the plush seat despite the fact her finger was resting on the trigger.Â
âHave you ever played Catâs cradle?â Bugsy asked her, knocking her knee against his as if sheâd heard his thoughts. They were together in this. Together. Even if the building went up in flames and bullets and the plan went to shit. Just the two of them, the way theyâd always been.Â
And he felt himself ease back too, something akin to security shifting over him. They always were safer together.Â
Catâs eyebrows raised as Bugsy dodged her comment, âWhat, do you want to braid my hair like sixth graders, too? What about it?âÂ
Bugsy shrugged, reaching over with her free hand to the glass of water sheâd set down for the two of them, âThe way I see it, Cat, you have got those little paws caught in yarn and are scrambling to get out of it,â She chuckled, taking a quick sip, âNow, if we were to let you go, youâd end up walking out of here scot free, and who knows, might even blow up the whole building anyway. But, if we help you out of this little tangle youâve got us all in, then maybe we cut a deal that doesnât involve all of us going out in a ball of flames and champagne. Sounds good right?â
The womanâs lips pursed tightly, her head tilting in annoyance, âAlright. Get on with it, no one likes a show off. How did you find my father?âÂ
Bugsy smirked, âWell that was pretty easy once you have access to the files we have. We traced your birth record to a Daniel Adams, who did in fact leave the country in 1987 but returned in 2012. Based on confidential records in rehabs and sober living houses, which in turn pointed us to flophouses and soup kitchens.âÂ
The brunetteâs eye twitched, like the girl had just spat in her face, which was what it felt like, and she felt the taste of her own medicine was just as sour as sheâd always presumed.Â
âHe couldnât put twenty four hours together sober, sweetheart,â Bugsy summarised, shrugging her shoulders as if it was no big deal to her, just another bum on the street, âYou can probably imagine our surprise to find that he lives here in DC,â
âWhere?â Cat hissed, and Bugsy snickered, shaking her head and taking another sip of her water.Â
âIâm an agent, not a miracle worker. It wasnât that simple,â She replied, boredly tracing her finger over the restaurants emblem they had printed on the napkin, âI found him on the street, showed him your picture and said Iâd like to ask him some questions about his darling daughter,â
Catâs lip pulled down in annoyance, her matt red lipstick smudging with her pout, âAnd?â
And perhaps Bugsy was being cruel. Perhaps she was playing into the profile that indicated Cat needed someone to match her wit and zeal if she was going to listen. Men, she could squash like bugs. Bugsy, ironically, not so much.Â
Perhaps she was thinking about how sheâd reached into Spencer's pants to retrieve his gun, and wanted some of what she was saying to hurt.Â
âHe didnât even know he had a daughter,â Bugsy said simply, with a small shrug of her shoulders, and she watched the womanâs onyx brown eyes glisten with unshed tears as the realisation crashed on her, "Didn't really seem to care,"
âHe-he didnât remember me?â Cat asked, the tease that had been there half an hour ago wiped clear from her tone, and Bugsy shook her head.Â
âNope,â She said, popping the last syllable, âAlcoholism really rocks your brain. Sorry, honey,â
Adams scoffed, shaking her head with venom, âYouâre not sorry. Sorry is what people say when they donât understand,â
And Bugsyâs brows raised, a bitter empathy flicking in her gaze. Quick, but not so quick that Cat didnât catch it, and she shuffled in her seat.Â
âOh,â Their UnSub paused, the trodden down look on her face rekindling with interest, âBut you understand, donât you? What, does your father like a good beer or ten, princess?âÂ
Bugsy snickered emptily, âOfcourse I understand,â She said, leaning over the table to hold the womanâs glare, because like hell would she back down just because Cat was treading on home ground, âI havenât spoken to my father in five years. He picked the hot wife and holidays to Aruba over his little girl and he thought a new pony or two would make up for all the times he forgot Christmas. I canât even remember the last time he sent me a birthday card on time, and yeah he was a bit of a mean bastard once he'd had a whiskey,â She shook her head with contempt, and she felt Spencer knock his knee against hers gently, but she only watched the viper woman with careful eyes. And to her shock, Cat seemed like she understood her, like she had some kind of respect for her telling the truth. âDonât look so surprised. Iâm very good at making sure old guys like that get whatâs coming to them. Or is that just what another girl with daddy issues would do?âÂ
Catâs face seemed to shrivel in frustration when she heard her words repeated back to her, âIs that really why you came here today? To help me?â And Bugsy tilted her head, knowing their UnSub was running out of time, that her window of opportunity was closing with the patrons of the restaurant getting antsy to leave. âDo you know how many men have told me they want to help me?â
Letting her expression smooth into empathy, she leaned forward, her tone dropping into a hushed murmur, âThat may well be true, sweetheart, but from where Iâm sitting, Iâm not a man,âÂ
And Cat paused, something like regret drifting over her face, before she spoke again, âDo you want to know how that worked out for them?âÂ
And with that, JJ and Rossi watched the C4 chargeâs switch to green, indicating their line was live and ready to blow.Â
âHotch, she just armed the bomb,â
Bugsyâs expression dropped an inch, the sight of it making Catâs lips curl into a cheshire smile.Â
âYouâre not the only one with a loyal partner, honey,âÂ
But the Prentiss woman was quick on her heels, watching Morgan and Tara rise from their place at another booth, heading towards a woman sitting at the bar on her phone, and she forced her lips together to stop herself from looking too smug to cause suspicion.Â
âIt seems so,â Bugsy agreed with a nod, handing her gun off to Spencer beneath the table.Â
If he was confused, he didnât show it, probably because he trusted that big brain of hers with everything in him, even if he was mad enough he could feel the annoyance oozing from his hot cheekbones. Yet to the rest of the restaurant, Cat Adams, included she hadnât moved an inch.Â
âBut, there is one thing I can guarantee about this partner of yours,â She said, leaning over to pour herself another glass of water casually.Â
Cat hummed in content, âOh, right? Whatâs that?â
And Bugsy smirked, barely raising the glass to her lips as Morgan pounced on the Bomber, ripping the phone out of her hands and causing the patrons around her to yelp, âSheâs sure as shit not as clever as me and my husband,âÂ
Catâs head whirlled around to see her partnerâs face slamming into the hard wood of the bar, Tara yanking the cuffs from her belt, and she barely had time to flick back to the two agents facing her before a pitcher of ice cold water was thrown in her eyes, her thick mascara running down her cheeks and blurring her vision. Spencer dove over the table and grabbed her gun from her grasp as Bugsy ripped her out of the booth with rough hands.Â
She threw her to the ground in the few seconds she was disorientated, her hands tightening around her wrists as make shift cuffs, and she saw Spencer hurrying to grab the real things from his pockets.Â
âThat was a cheap shot, youâre a cheater, you said youâd play fair,â Cat barked, her cheeks pressing against the rough carpet as the agents cuffed her, ignoring her protests and shoves.Â
âHoney, this is me playing fair,â Bugsy snapped with a cruel smirk, âYou threatened my friends, you stuck your hand in my boyfriendâs pants, and pointed a gun at him. Believe me I could have done so much worse,âÂ
And with that Cat Adams was hauled off the ground by the two of them, as they led her out to the police van waiting outside the restaurant.Â
â
The doors pulled open, empty, and Catâs face dropped, because her only silver lining on the entire outcome had been that sheâd be able to meet the dead beat dad that ran out on her.Â
That agentâs face had been so genuine as sheâd said it. It had seemed so real, and yetâŚÂ
âYou lied to me,â She said as Bugsy set her down on the bench, Spencer pulling another set of handcuffs from his belt and the two of them looked up at her, her lashes lining with disappointment.Â
âIf it helps, we really did try to look for him.â Spencer said, his tone blunt because she had a crazed look in her eye he didnât like one bit the second she stared at his girlfriend.
And even though she was the one in chains, heading for prison for a twenty year sentence at the minimum, she laughed. Cackled.Â
âIt doesn't matter anyway, I still won,â She said, that venomous gaze turning to Spencer because she had learned atleast two thing in the time sheâd been sat with the two agents that ruined her life.Â
One. Spencerâs mother had Alzheimers, that he hadnât been lying about. That she was sure was too real to be a story heâd pulled out his ass.Â
Two. The girl wasnât phased by insults or bites or cruel words directed towards her. Yet when it was at SpencerâŚ
âHow do you figure that one?â Bugsy said, her brow furrowing as she shook her head at the woman.
âIn ten years, Mommy dearest wonât remember anyoneâs name,â Bugsyâs head shot up at that, her lips curling into a snarl, and she forced her fingertips into her palm to stop herself from throwing a slap at the womanâs face, âBut Iâll remember yours,âÂ
Bugsy darenât react, no matter if her chest boiled in anger at the womanâs callous words. Spencer had to give that information up, give a small bit of his soft underbelly to get the woman to trust him enough not to shoot.Â
And she couldnât exactly blame him when he rose to his feet, darting out of the van with a clenched jaw, because the day had been an entire shit show, and she knew by the growl of annoyance he let out that their was a big conversation looming over her head, one she could only see ending in a fight.
It was just the two of them in the van, Cat entirely bound to her seat, and her painted lips had pulled into a grin the second heâd stormed off, her sleek eyes snapping to Bugsy who looked ready to slit her throat.Â
âOh, come on Princess, it was tit for tat,â Cat shrugged as if she didnât seem destroyed, âYou took my dad from me, I guess I had to do the same for that hubby of yours,â
Bugsy looked down at her, swallowing her rage with a purse of her lips, feeling her breath rattle with unfiltered animosity.
âYouâd make a shit profiler, for what itâs worth. What you profiled about him was all off,â She snarled, stepping away from the woman and looking down at her as if she was shit on the bottom of her shoe, âAt least heâs going to make a better father than the bum who would rather sleep on concrete than know you,â
And with that she slammed the doors closed behind her, darting off on Spencerâs heel.Â
+1. The one where she tells him.
She saw his stress lines, the way the dayâs events had weighed heavy on him. He sat on the sofa, his shoes thrown by the door after a tense drive home, and she'd found a space on the coffee table in front of him.
He was quiet, he had never been quiet with her, not in the years since theyâd kissed that first time in her room. He wasnât one for the silent treatment, she knew that much. Yet he was just that. Silent.
âAre you mad at me?â She asked, her voice that of a child as her brows scrunched together in worry. She felt the words bubbling in her throat, the thing sheâd needed to tell him for a week gnawing at her tongue, crawling itâs way out, only she worried that after what she had done, he might just be ten times more annoyed at her throwing herself in the line of danger.Â
He stayed quiet for a moment, and she thought this might turn into their first real fight in the two and bit years theyâd been together. Her skin went cold at the words that loomed over them, and she knew by the way he sighed alone he was pissed.Â
âYou canât do that,â He said, his voice a restrained bite, and he shook his head for good measure, âYou canât put yourself in the way of danger again, I canât do that again, not after Scratch.âÂ
Her throat closed up with tears, and she glanced at him, her fingers itching to take his warm hands in her own, her body begging to preen into him, have him kiss her and tell her he wasnât mad, that he still loved her, that everything was okay. But he wouldnât. Not because he didnât feel any of that, of course he still loved her, but the wet that lined his lashes told her all she needed to know. That seeing what Scratch had done to her had scared him enough that even the idea of her coming close to a hostile UnSub with a loaded gun, that straying from the plan that was designed to keep everyone safe, had tipped him into a grey area that had him both wanting to hold her close and never let her go whilst yelling at her in that broken cadence to show her just how hurt he was.Â
âIâm sorry, I just-â She choked, her eyes becoming watery and pathetic and she hated crying during arguments, not wanting to look weak but that was exactly how she felt. Weak. Like she had no backbone to lean on because she knew she shouldnât have intervened, but the snake-like woman undressing her boyfriend with her eyes while cocking a weapon at him had pushed her over the edge.Â
âOh, youâre sorry, that makes it much better,â Spencer shook his head, furrowing his brows and it was only when he leaned forward that the salty hot tears dribbled down his cheek. âYou- you canât just do that, Bugsy, you know that right?â
She nodded, the words building in her trachea like word vomit, like she wanted to scream the confession at him that she should have given him the second sheâd found out. âI know, Iâm sorry,â She said again, her words entirely warbled with guilt because sheâd never seen him so distraught, and she thought back to the horror that had spread on his face when sheâd sat down.Â
âYou canât do that to me, sweetheart, do you understand?â His tone had shifted, something a little softer and he grabbed her hands tightly when her shoulders hunched together, and she leaned forward to try to hide her cries in her lap, sitting silently like a scolded child, âWhat were you thinking? You just got back into the field today, you could have been hurt, you could have gotten someone else hurt-â
âI know, I know, Iâm sorry,â She sniffled, her expression truly guilty, because everything he was saying was exactly true, she could have gotten him shot. âI didnât think, I wasnât thinking, I just was worried thatâŚâ She trailed off, her heart rate spiking when the words almost slipped from her tongue. She couldnât tell him, not like this.
âWhat?â Spencer pressed, because he didnât like the look of whatever had just passed over her face, and she shook her head in denial, âBug, tell me,âÂ
âNo, I canât,â Her breath clogged in her chest, coming out in a shaky rattle, and it was then that he leaned forward even more, trying to dip his head down to catch her eye, "Not like this,"
âPlease tell me,â He begged, his eyes still stinging where another wave of tears threatened to burst at the seam when she shook her head again, her chin pressing down into her chest because he hated this. He hated arguing with her. âIâm sorry I yelled, I didnât mean to, honey, I just got- worried.â
âI know,â She said quietly through another sniffle, rubbing her cheek on her shoulder to dry it, âI know, Iâm sorry I didnât think it through I just,â She took a deep breath, because she knew she needed to tell him, knew there was no more running from it.Â
He lifted a palm to her cheek, his thumb skirting under her eyelashes, and he forced himself together because he could never stand to see her cry, not when it was partially his fault, âWhat?âÂ
âI just canât do this without you,â She murmured, her heart in her throat, and it only made it difficult to swallow. She chanced a look at Spencer, his eyes wet and red and worried as she continued, âI canât be the one to tell this kid their dad died because I didnât do anything,âÂ
âWhat..â He started, his brows immediately falling into a frown as he looked at her. She swore she could hear every single contraction of her heart muscles in her ears, the blood rushing through her veins making it sound like waves crashing on a shore right in her eardrum.Â
âItâs still fixable,â She jumped in, before he could say anything, like she needed to justify immediately what sheâd said, or even just talk to fill the silence because she hated not knowing what he was thinking, âItâs only five weeks along, I still have time to⌠fix it-â
âFive weeks- you-youâre pregnant?â Spencerâs eyes were wide, with horror or shock she had no idea, nor did she want to find out judging by the way he had turned pale, reading between the lines, âW-What- fix it? Is that what you want to do?âÂ
She stopped, because he seemed to be keeping a lid on his emotions, trying his hardest to sound calm and somehow that made it all the more worse. Because she would rather him get angry, or get frustrated and tell her this was too soon, or tell her there was no way he was ready to be a father, because at least then the pressure of it wasnât on her back to decide for both of them.Â
But he would never, and she didnât know why sheâd ever second guessed him. He wasnât yelling, or turning away, or leaving her the second things got tough, because it was Spencer. And Spencer would never. Spencer gave her the choice of what she wanted to do.Â
She stopped, her lungs suddenly feeling just that bit tighter, as she shrugged pitifully, and she thought this was perhaps not the most ideal way to tell someone youâre pregnant, âI-I donât know, I thinkâŚâ She stopped, because what did she think? Sheâd been so wrapped up in worrying about what Spencer would think, worrying about his mom and her nightmares and Cat God Damn Adams that she hadnât even let herself entertain the thought of a little them.Â
But if she said she didnât like the idea of a little boy with Spencerâs hair and glasses and smile, if she said she couldnât see the photo album his mom had handed her full of pictures of their kids butt naked and watering the flower beds, she would be a liar.Â
âI think⌠it would take a lot of work, I mean itâs a baby for christ sakes, Bugsy, of course itâll take work,â He nodded slowly as she chided herself, but she felt his hands tighten on hers, and the tiny gesture gave her the encouragement she needed. She took another breath, that boy with brown curls and her eyes in a jedi costume flashing through her head, âBut.. I think having a mini you is everything I could have ever wished for,âÂ
His lip quivered for a minute, and she worried sheâd said the wrong thing. And thenâŚ
He smiled, wider than sheâd ever seen him, like she could count every single one of his teeth, and she copied him despite the way a frog leapt into her throat, and she saw his eyes line with a fresh set of tears.Â
âReally, weâre really doing this?â Spencer asked, quietly, like someone could hear them, or perhaps he couldnât believe himself even as he said it. He thought his chest was about to explode, thought his heart could never love someone so much as he loved her, thought it would never beat the same way again as it had before heâd been told he was going to have a baby with the woman heâd been in love with for nearly nine years. She nodded, her shy smile turning into something happy, maybe even excited as he pulled her in for an achingly sweet kiss, his hands cupping her cheeks as he kissed her lips over and over and over again, ignoring the salt that trapped in her skin, and he realised then he had started crying just as much as she had. Two wailing saps sitting in their living room, happier than theyâd ever dreamed they were allowed to be. âI love you, I love you, I love you more than anything, I was so stupid, Iâm so sorry I shouted-âÂ
She chuckled, shaking her head, and drawing him back in for a long, silencing kiss, âI was stupid, very stupid.â Bugsy said, the weight lifting off her chest like a dumbbell had been moved, and she could breath again. Because Spencer kissed her like he wanted to merge their bodies into one, like he didnât care for breath anymore as long as he had her lips on his, and she couldnât help think if that was what he thought of her too, âNo more being stupid from either of us. Kidâs got to have at least one smart parent,â
He smiled, enough joy in his eyes to make her think she was handing him the universe. And yet that was exactly how he felt. Like everything he dreamt of as a kid, when he was in his room wishing his dad had stayed because sometimes looking after his mom was tough on a twelve year old, or when heâd held Henry for the first time and thought maybe he wouldnât be terrible at it by the time it was his turn.Â
He looked at Bugsy, the idea of their kid growing inside her, about the size of a petit pois pea at five weeks, and Spencer damn near felt like heâd won the lottery.Â
And all thoughts of Cat Adams were gone from both of their minds, the viper woman she wished she had gotten a good right hook to when sheâd had the chance entirely unimportant now.Â
Because they were going to be a family, more so than they already were. And Bugsy felt as though she couldnât love Spencer any more than she already did, but she could love his baby more than sheâd ever thought possible.Â

chiliâs angels
summary: carlos canât say no to his little girls, leaving him with some explaining to do on media day + a little insta au at the end ď¸
words: 806
a/n: this one was in my drafts for a while but i brought it out for @thatsdemko and all the dad! carlos girlies out there. i know there are a lot of you! tagging @vamossainz55, @sainzcaleruega, @monzabee, and @diorleclerc just because. feedback is much appreciated as always. hugs and kisses đŤśđź
When Y/N found out she was pregnant with twin girls, Carlos was over the moon. He had been raised by a vivacious mother and alongside two sisters, who despite driving him mad as a child, had become his closest confidantes. Carlos stopped wearing the Tom Ford cologne you once loved when it started to trigger your nausea. He rushed to a nearby drive-through at midnight solely to satisfy your craving for fries and a milkshake. And when your shoelaces needed tying, he was always there to help.
âI feel like Iâm asking way too much of you,â you spoke. He smiled and gently caressed your growing belly. "Never, mi amor. Taking care of you and our girls is my purpose now," he said tenderly. "You're an amazing mom already, and I can't wait to see our daughters grow up with the same strength and love that you have."
You had held off on naming the twins because you strongly felt you owed it to your daughters to meet them and get an actual feel for their energies. Together, you spent an evening brainstorming a list of potential names, Carlos voicing a particular preference for their names starting with the same letter. Labor proved to be more challenging than anyone had ever prepared you for, leaving you drained once it was over. Carlos cradled the newborns in his arms, softly uttering their names, "Melina" and "Mila," while his gaze shifted from one little face to the other.
Flash forward, and your twin daughters thought the world of their dad. You loved getting to see Carlos in a new light, your love for him only growing as you watched him interact with your girls. "Can we go outside and play? Please!" Melina and Mila were like the Energizer Bunny times two on the rare weekends when Carlos was home. Although he rarely said no to them, they were both feeling under the weather, so he shook his head. "How about we stay inside and do some drawing?" he suggested.
"Can we paint your nails? MamĂĄ always lets us," the girls asked, their eyes widening as they edged closer to him. Carlos paused for a moment, thinking, what harm could it do? Eventually, he nodded in agreement. The girls knew exactly where their mother kept her nail polish kit and eagerly fetched the equipment. "We have Barbie pink and Ferrari red, just like our cars," Melina said, holding up the bottles with her pudgy fingers. "Mama wears the red one when we watch you drive on TV," Mila chimed in. He assumed Melina was referring to the little toy LaFerraris he had bought the girls on their birthday. He loved watching the girls as they raced in their garden, a tangible sign they had inherited his passion for cars.
"What's that thing you always say, PapĂĄ? For the Ferrari?" Mila looked up at her dad with chocolate brown eyes. "Forza Ferrari, mija," Carlos replied. Before he could even pick a color, Melina grabbed his hand and started painting his thumbnail bright red. The girls both had a hard time staying within the lines, so Carlos took it upon himself to clean up the edges. After they were done, he was instructed to place each hand under the UV lamp. He couldnât help but wonder if the nail polish would come off easily later, but he soon noticed the excitement of being nail artists had worn the twins out. He picked them up and gently laid them down for a nap.
As Carlos boarded his flight to Hungary, he realized that his red manicure was not coming off without a fight. He absentmindedly picked at his nails, silently wishing his wife had been there to offer him the mini nail file she always carried. With media day approaching, he knew that people would definitely pick up on his vibrant nails.
"Nice nails, Carlos. Whose handiwork is this?" Natalie, a familiar face, pointed at his hands with a smile. Carlos chuckled and replied, "Oh, this masterpiece? My twin daughters painted them. I just donât know how to say no to those two." He shrugged, shaking his head.
"Well, here they are to say hello.â The TV presenter had organized a surprise Zoom call with Y/N and Carlos' daughters, who had been nicknamed "Chiliâs Angels" by his fans.
"Buenos dĂas, mis hijas. I hope you're feeling better," he greeted them, waving at the camera. Melina proudly held up her mom's hand, showcasing her red nails. "Look! You and MamĂĄ match now!" she exclaimed. Carlos winked at his wife, grateful for the little moment of connection despite the distance.
"Forza Ferrari, PapĂĄ!" Mila squealed, waving goodbye. âThey really are my angels, all three of them,â he thought, setting off a mental countdown of days until he was back in their arms again.

LITTLE LADYBUG
nico rosberg x wife! reader x ( platonic! ) oc daughters
⥠how ruby rosberg / little ladybug came to be!
ŕ¨ŕ§ are you guys liking the little rabbit and little ladybug works? theyâre becoming my favourite to make, i love feeding the fellow nico rosberg lovers <3 posting this before i go to sleep so super sorry for any major errors ^_^
⥠related smau available here, related hc available here and here | view my formula 1 masterlist here
reading music recommendations: all to you by kitty craft - daydream by gunter kallmann choir
⥠when you told nico you were pregnant for a second time, he was over the moon
ŕ¨ŕ§ you told him late at night, he was moping on the couch because he still just couldnât accept that his little rabbit was growing upâŚ
⥠little rabbit was already asleep in bed and you two were just cuddled up on the couch, watching a show, your hand stroking his hair, kissing his shoulder, doing your best to comfort him
ŕ¨ŕ§ he was so in his own head that when you blurted it out, he didnât even realise what you said at first
â oh, thatâs nice miene liebe⌠wait, what did you say? â ( he sat up so fast you think he mightâve pulled something in his back )
⥠heâs SO excited for the rest of the night, heâs like a kid that canât sleep the night before christmas
ŕ¨ŕ§ he just keeps giving you kisses and telling you how he canât wait to hold the baby in his arms and decorate a nursery again
⥠you decide to tell little rabbit in the morning because nico already just canât wait to start preparing things and you know he couldnât keep it a secret if he tried
ŕ¨ŕ§ you guys eventually go off to bed, nico wearing the biggest smile youâve ever seen <3
⥠spooning in bed, while he thinks youâre asleep, he starts gently tracing patterns on your stomach despite not having a bump yet
ŕ¨ŕ§ then you hear him start quietly mumbling too, talking to the baby about how loved theyâll be and how theyâre going to have the best big sister they could ask for and the most beautiful mother
⥠did you cry a little? absolutely, but you made sure to not make it noticeable, wanting him to feel like this moment was between him and his second baby and them onlyâŚ
ŕ¨ŕ§ you fall asleep soon after with the strongest feeling of love in your chest
⥠in the morning while having some breakfast in bed, courtesy of nico, he carries his little rabbit in ( her giggling and playfully kicking at him ) and places her on the bed before sitting next to you, getting ready to tell her sheâll have a baby sibling soon
ŕ¨ŕ§ nico is the one to tell her, of course he is, he canât sit still and it just comes out
â youâre going to be a big sister little rabbit! isnât that exciting? youâll be the best big sister ever hm? â ( he canât even get the words out without smiling )
⥠at first, sheâs a little confused⌠how? will they be delivered tomorrow? she doesnât really understand⌠but nico explains to her how her little sibling is very much still growing in your stomach and itâll be some months before she can see them
ŕ¨ŕ§ but sheâs so excited! she really wants it to be a girl so that she can play barbies with her
⥠nico is excited that sheâs excited and it just turns into a big cuddle fest on the bed with her asking many questions about how it works and if she can help name them
ŕ¨ŕ§ both of them treat you like a porcelain doll in the months after telling them⌠you think nico was protective? somehow, little rabbit is even more careful around you! her personality is just his X10 <3
⥠she doesnât even like to see you on your feet, always gently leading you by your hand to the couch or a seat in the garden while nico watches with a smile, he taught her well
ŕ¨ŕ§ one thing you craved a LOT during your first pregnancy was fruit, mainly strawberries!
⥠and when rosie was old enough to eat fruit, strawberries turned out to be an all time favourite for her too which would likely be the same for the new baby
ŕ¨ŕ§ nico figured there was a pretty big possibility the same thing would happen with this pregnancy so a couple days after you told him you were pregnant again, nico decided to do some gardening with rosie and plant some strawberry plant seeds in the garden, strawberries ready to be eaten would likely be there by the time the new baby was a toddler
⥠fast forward a couple months and youâre really starting to show!
ŕ¨ŕ§ and this is when some issues ariseâŚ
⥠rosie was excited
ŕ¨ŕ§ but now things are really starting to come into perspective for herâŚ
⥠what if papa doesnât love me anymore? heâs only going to love the new babyâŚ
ŕ¨ŕ§ what if they donât have time for me anymore? all their time will be taken by the new babyâŚ
⥠nico knows something is up with his little rabbit right away, he knows his baby better than anyone
ŕ¨ŕ§ you guys sit her down on the couch one day and ask her whatâs wrong, why she looks so upset lately and when she tells youâŚ
⥠nico is a wreck! he cannot believe what heâs hearing from his little rabbit
ŕ¨ŕ§ him not loving her anymore? not having time for her anymore? he hates that his first baby, the baby that made him feel a type of love heâd never felt before and brought him so much happiness, has been feeling like this and almost wants to cry :(
⥠you both immediately shower her in kisses, softly calling her a silly girl and cuddling her, telling her how sheâd always be their little rabbit and theyâd never not love her or not have time for her
ŕ¨ŕ§ you decide to spend the day doing whatever rosie wanted, which wasnât much, she just wanted to cuddle with you guys in your bed again and watch a movie, just like when she was little
⥠and so you do, you three get into the king sized bed with your little rabbit curled up between you, her head on nicoâs chest and her legs over your lap while she watches cars
ŕ¨ŕ§ you and nicoâs intertwined hands lay over her and nico kisses her head every few minutes, it didnât take long for you all to fall asleep, the serene environment lulling you all into a deep sleep, staying cuddled up for the rest of the night until the sun came up
⥠for this pregnancy, you and nico decide to find out the gender before the baby is born, just to know if you should pull all of rosieâs old baby clothes out of storage or not
ŕ¨ŕ§ nico and rosie are both SO sure itâs a girl⌠nico says he just has a feeling in his heart and rosie just really wants a sister so itâs probably going to be a girl right?
â i can feel it, miene liebe! itâs a girl, i know it, weâre getting another little girl â ( you swear he was born to be a girl dad, heâs so excited )
⥠spoiler alert: they were right! when you got the ultrasound with nico by you side, holding your hand, and the nurse told you it was a girl he got the most cheeky smile on his face!
ŕ¨ŕ§ well, it was cheeky for about a second before turning really warm and full of loveâŚ
⥠and donât even get started on when you told rosie! she was wearing the same excited smile for about two weeks after you told her before finally calming down
ŕ¨ŕ§ but hey, youâd be lying if you said you werenât looking forward to seeing nico be a girl dad again ( thatâs an understatement, him being a cute girl dad to your little rabbit is what got you pregnant again, you jumped his bones almost every night )
⥠eventually the time comes and your water breaks, thankfully rosie is spending time with her grandparents on nicoâs side so she doesnât witness the panic and disorganisation of getting you to the hospital ( yeah, you really hadnât learned from the first time )
ŕ¨ŕ§ this birth happens much faster than last time and youâre so thankful for that! you donât think you could handle a birth like rosieâs againâŚ
⥠nico is still just as emotional as the first time though, a soft smile on his face and tears dripping down his cheeks before his baby is even crying
ŕ¨ŕ§ you want to laugh but manage hold it in, just waiting for your girl to be placed on your chest
⥠when she is, nico immediately points out two birthmarks, one on each side of her back⌠just like a ladybug with dotted wings
â oh, look at that⌠youâre like a little ladybug, hm? our unique little ladybug â ( now itâs your turn to cry, you just love him so damn much )
ŕ¨ŕ§ nicoâs parents eventually make it to the hospital with rosie in tow, sheâs practically bouncing from wall to wall, just wanting to meet her little sister already and when nico lifts her up onto the hospital bed next to youâŚ
⥠she just fell in love with her! staring down at her baby sisterâs small face resting on your chest, she knew she had a future friend for life
ŕ¨ŕ§ nico absolutely cannot get over his two children being so close! his little rabbit and little ladybug, his babies, the children that brought him so much joy!
⥠seeing them bond just fills him with this sense of comfort, knowing their bond will be forever unbreakable, constantly thanking you for giving him two beautiful children and a life of eternal happiness
ŕ¨ŕ§ when you return home from the hospital, itâs damn near impossible for you to get ruby out of nicoâs armsâŚ
⥠he just really wants to cherish her being a newborn as much as he can, knowing that eventually sheâll grow up just like his little rabbit did and he wonât be able to fit her in his palms anymore :(
ŕ¨ŕ§ he still absolutely loves dressing his girls up, especially little ladybug ( mainly because little rabbit doesnât really need help getting dressed anymore ) and she has SO many dresses and onesies and bows with ladybug patterns on themâŚ
â how was i not supposed buy it? it has ladybugs on it, itâs so cute, miene liebe! yes, i know she already has a lot of clothes but just⌠â ( he goes on a ramble about why he just had to get this dress, he simply couldnât not buy it for his little ladybug, no matter how full her closet it )
⥠since you guys kept all of little rabbitâs old dresses and shoes, little ladybug wears them a lot and it nearly makes nico cry seeing his little ladybug in her sisters old baby clothes!
ŕ¨ŕ§ whenever his little ladybug wears one of little rabbits old dresses, he always talks to her about where he got it for her and how it reminded him of her, always making sure his little rabbit knows he still loves her so much
â my little rabbit! did you see little ladybug wearing your old dress today? you know i bought that because it reminded me of your eyes, oh you were so cute in it and now sheâs so cute in in too⌠what did i do to deserve such perfect daughters, hm? â ( rosie gets embarrassed whenever nico talks about what she was like as a baby but in a few years, sheâll think back on it fondly )
⥠heâs also actually really good at doing their hair! i mean, maybe he canât do all of those eccentric braids but if they asked, heâd definitely stay up all night watching tutorials on youtube <3 anything to make his babies happy
ŕ¨ŕ§ whenever nico is away commentating f1 events, heâs guaranteed to mention his little rabbit and little ladybug at LEAST once
⥠heâs just so proud of his little family and wants everyone to know how amazing his wife is and how adorable his little girls are
â well, my girls are doing great back home! little ladybug was a smooth birth so my beautiful wife is thankfully recovering healthily and sheâs settling in fine, little rabbit is just happy to finally be able to see her little sister â ( the bright smile he has on his face whilst talking about them could be enough to blind someone )
ŕ¨ŕ§ you guys got little rabbit her own rabbit for her 6th birthday!
⥠because sheâs young, she could not decide on a name so, while quietly laughing between yourselves, you and nico suggested britneyâŚ
ŕ¨ŕ§ and it was decided! britney the rabbit was the newest member of the rosberg family
⥠rosie loves her rabbit so much, always walking around the house with britney cuddled in her arms and nico loves seeing his little rabbit so happy with her own little rabbit
ŕ¨ŕ§ something youâve never gotten over is how both of your girls are carbon copies of nico, both look wise AND personality wise! itâs like you gave birth to his twins and youâre just so in love with your little family
⥠when ruby is old enough, her and rosie start using the tree swing that nico built for them in the back garden!
ŕ¨ŕ§ nico just watches them through the kitchen window sitting on it together, gently swinging back and fourth, giggling between themselves whilst you wash dishes and he holds your hips from behind, placing gentle kisses on the nape of your neck and murmuring words of endearment towards you
⥠yeah, this is the life he always dreamed ofâŚ

(S/n) - Sister's Name
When (S/n) dropped off Ophelia, the first thing (Y/n)âs six-year-old niece did was run to ReneĂŠ , wrapping her arms around her aunt as she clung on excitedly. It was the first time Ophelia had visited since (Y/n) and ReneĂŠ Â moved into their own place now that they were married. âAre you sure youâre okay to watch her over night?â (S/n) inquired, chewing on her bottom lip as Ophelia flung her body from ReneĂŠ Â to the toy chest in their living room, something put there due to them knowing she was coming. They were the types of aunts to absolutely spoil their niece, and that was evident by the toys overflowing in the toy box.
âOf course,â (Y/n) smiled, ruffling Opheliaâs curls gently. She was always down to watch the girl. Since they moved, they had been a bit busier and hadnât been able to visit yet. This was the perfect excuse to spend time with their favorite tiny terror. âWe are going to order pizza for dinner, watch Opheliaâs favorite movies, play with toys. You have absolutely nothing to worry about. You deserve this night out with your husband. So, go have fun. Iâll send you several pictures of all the fun weâre going to have tonight.â
(S/n) hugged (Y/n) and ReneĂŠ Â gratefully as she made her way over to Ophelia. She crouched down before hugging her daughter, despite her being uninterested due to all the new toys. âBe good for your aunties,â she kissed her cheek gently before heading towards the door. âBye, everyone, I love you all. If you need anything, do not be afraid to call.â (S/n) spoke before finally exiting. (Y/n) locked the door behind her, not because of (S/n), but because of safety. She looked over at Ophelia who was engrossed in the Superman action figure, who she paired up with a President Barbie from the Barbie movie.
âOphie,â she called, sitting beside her niece. It took a moment before the girl looked over at (Y/n) with a big, curious grin that exposed her dimples. âAuntie ReneĂŠ Â and I have a surprise for you. Do you remember that princess dress that you wanted? We got it for you in the guest room. Would you like to check it out, sweetheart?â
Ophelia nodded excitedly as she followed her aunts to the bedroom. ReneĂŠ Â put Opheliaâs purple unicorn suitcase in the room before picking up the green, sparkling dress. âItâs so pretty! Like Fiona,â she absolutely loved Shrek after (Y/n) and ReneĂŠ Â decided to make sure that she was cultured and understood what true cinema was. Ever since then, she has wanted a sparkling version of Princess Fionaâs dress and a pet donkey. Hence why she had a Donkey stuffed animal on the bed alongside the dress. âDon-kay!â she squealed excitedly, pulling the stuffed toy into her arms.
âWe have another surprise for you,â ReneĂŠ Â said as (Y/n) helped Ophelia into the dress. âWe have made snacks from Shrek, and we are going to watch all the Shrek movies.â Ophelia wanted to watch all of the movies the last time they were together, but they didnât have the time. This time, they were going to have a sleepover and they got various snacks, healthier than not as requested by (S/n), to keep her on theme.
Ophelia was ecstatic. For someone who could bounce off the walls, she was an amazing movie watcher. She loved sitting in between (Y/n) and ReneĂŠ Â during all of the movies they watched together. (Y/n) ordered the pizza as ReneĂŠ Â set out the snacks. There were green apples with ogre ears poked into them (thank you Etsy), gingerbread men talentedly put together by one of (Y/n)âs friends, pretzel sticks cleverly renamed Swamp Logs (thank you Pinterest), and water with green food coloring that they deemed to be swamp water. Ophelia was absolutely living the life.
As the three sat together, lounging on the couch, (Y/n) couldnât help but look over to ReneĂŠ Â with a smile. They had waited patiently for the movies to end to share the news with Ophelia. She would be the first in the family to know what they were going to tell Ophelia. She was going to help them tell everyone else. As Shrek the Third ended, (Y/n) knew it was finally time. She was a bit nervous to tell Ophelia, but she knew that this idea was amazing.
âHey, Ophie,â (Y/n) got her nieces attention. (Y/n) took a moment to think about how she wanted to tell her, ReneĂŠ Â putting a hand on her shoulder softly. âYou know how in this movie, Shrek and Fiona were having babies?â She questioned softly, wanting to explain slowly since she knew this was a big announcement. Ophelia nodded with a grin. âWell, I am also going to have a baby.â
Ophelia processed this slowly, in her own time. After all, she was only six. âSo, then Iâll be an aunt, too?â she asked, looking at ReneĂŠ Â who was behind her. She wasnât understanding completely, but that was perfectly fine. (Y/n) and ReneĂŠ Â wanted to take the time to explain this to her. They knew she was probably going to have several questions.
ReneĂŠ Â grinned a bit at the question, gently putting a hand on Opheliaâs shoulder. âEven better,â she smirked playfully, âYouâre going to be a big cousin. Which means, when (Y/n) has her baby, youâre going to have another friend to play with dolls and action figures. You can even show them Shrek. But, first, we need to ask for your help. Only you can help us.â She explained to the curly haired girl.
As the two explained to Ophelia more about the baby and told her about the plan, they gave her a shirt. It said âWorldâs Best Big Cousinâ in pink font. When (S/n) went to pick up Ophelia the next day, that was the shirt she would be wearing as she ran to her mom and dad and gave them a big hug. She was taking the idea of being a big cousin as seriously as a six-year-old could. She loved the idea of having a little cousin to play with, her own baby. Though, they did have to explain that her baby cousin would be at their house and not hers.
âOh, you got her a new shirt,â (S/n) said before gasping loudly. She looked at her younger sister in shock before passing Ophelia to her husband carefully. She then threw her arms around (Y/n) and ReneĂŠ Â happily. âI am so happy for you, too! Please let me be there when you tell Mom and Dad.â
(Y/n) hugged her sister back as she gave Ophelia two thumbs up. âEven better, we have Captain Princess Ophelia, her new big cousin title, to help us.â She told (S/n). They wanted to make sure Ophelia had a big role so that she knew her aunts still loved her. This was something that (S/n) noticed, appreciated, and loved as she held onto her sister.
âYou two are going to be the best parents,â (S/n) expressed happily, wiping away the tears from her face then (Y/n)âs. âI canât believe I didnât even notice. We just went out the other night and you refused your favorite night drink: a margarita.â The group shared a laugh as they got to working on how they would tell (Y/n) and (S/n)âs parents.

Hello! Soo I was wondering if I could request a RemusxReader oneshot/blurb with this scenario. Hear me out:
Reader openly talking to the girls about her crush on Remus she as had for years and just being so casual talking about how much she likes him and thinks he's amazing and hot, and how much she loves him (practically me simping for Rem) and she isn't embarrassed cuz she's known Lily and Marlene for years and they're used to talk like that and tease each other kindly (they usually do it to Lily). But they don't know that Remus and the boys are "accidentally" listening to their conversation.
Lmk what you think! Thankyou ly, byebye <3

"[y/n] are you free tonight? or does loverboy has to take you away before midnight?" marlene said, linking your arms together as you two walked inside the common room.
"yes... why?"
"charms."
"charms?"
"assignment."
"oh-"
"yes."
"charms assignment that you need me to help you with?"
"obviously,"
"ah fine," you eyes slowly averted to the smile of none other that remus lupin. your mind goes fuzzy all of a sudden. he was joking and laughing with james in front of the fireplace. "he looks so happy today," you whispered to yourself, smiling.
"aww, you care about his happiness! just make out already," marlene said, wiggling her thick brows.
"that's one step beyond. not ethical," you shook your head in a mocking manner. "where's lily by the way? is she up here already?"
marlene shrugged as she opened the door to the dormitory, letting the warm air hit both of their faces.
later that night, you were helping marlene out on the charms essay and let's just say... it wasn't going as planned.
"marl, it's not how it is. you have to read the whole thing first then make your own summary about it so professor flitwick won't accuse you of plagiarism."
"but there's too many! why isn't there a charms to shorten paragraphs," she whined like a child on the sidewalk when their moms didn't get ice cream.
"liliana, help me over here. marl doesn't want to read,"
"i doing my eye mask, can't stand up," she reasoned stupidly.
"eye masks stick to your under eyes. yes you can stand up without them falling off. i wish remus was here, he can probably summarise four pages in just two minutes, he's incredibly smart," you closed your little tired eyes.
"if remus was here, he wont be teaching me anything, he would be too busy with you," marlene scoffed, although she is teasing.
"that's right," lily agreed. "remember this morning when [y/n] dropped mashed potatoes on his head? he didn't even blame her! he was blushing."
"also in dada, didn't you see remus was basically mumbling a mantra to be partnered up with [y/n], that's so sweet," marlene continued in a teasing voice, her charms assignment completely tossed of to the side.
you think to yourself, a conversation about remus late at night is way more interesting than charms. so you didn't budge. "aw yea he did, i saw," you cheeks turned crimson as you smile.
"isn't he just so... beautiful? i never look at anyone- except for my barbie dolls when i was five- this way. he is just right in every way."
"mhmmm keep going my love," marlene replied, after noticing a slight crack in the door with the marauders behind it. they were appalled when marlene saw them but marlene stays quiet, sending a wink their way.
at first, they were up here because james wanted to return lily's hair clip in which the boy slyly stole during class for this moment. but the others insisted to go up to see her reaction for some reason.
remus wouldn't complain though. he got to hear what the girl he loves for so much has to say bout him when he's not around.
your back was facing the door with your legs crossed over your chest and you hugging them. "his face may be pretty, but i think his heart is way prettier. for god's sake he holds my hand when i was anxious for that history presentation! he knows my needs so well."
"yes, that's so kind of him," lily urged for you to continue so she can tease you about it the next morning in front of remus lupin.
"and the best part is, remus respects women! he treats me like how i treat the girls and women around me. that's the hottest thing a guy could ever do," you dazed out, burying your face in between your kneecaps.
"ugh we love a respectful king, don't we girls!" marlene said purposely loud so remus can hear the conversation wide and clear from the door. his eyes were basically making heart eyes at the back of your head, his smile is like he had just won a contest and to hide that would be so dishonest.
"i told you to get her on a date sooner, she is the one!" sirius nudged remus rather harshly, but he was too focused on you.
"but what i don't like about him is the fact that he thinks he's not worthy of anything. he is. he deserves the biggest apology and happiness there ever was. he is like a moon river. i would roll my ship at night just to see the sparkles that he got. my huckleberry friend."
"isn't that enough to confirm that [y/n] loves you back, remus?" marlene shouted, her vision straight to the door.
your eyes widened in panic as your blood rushed into your cheeks. was remus hearing all of this? oh no freaking way- he can't be!
the door swung open, revealing the marauders who were standing with their jaws on the floor.
"i'm going out," lily spoke up, slipping out the door with james running after her like a lost puppy.
"you better do something," marlene winked at remus as she pushed him inside the room. remus nodded numbly, processing on what just happened. marlene was already dragging sirius down to give their friends privacy.
"hey, can i come in?"
"gosh i'm so sorry you heard all of that! you don't understand how embarrassing it is for me right now. i wish to disappear!" you scrunched your face, mortified by what his reactions may be.
"listen, uh, what you said were- it really makes me happy that you think of me that way because... so do i! i've been scared to say anything because i just- wasn't sure if you like me that way or not..."
"well, you heard it... what am i going to do now," you whispered the last part under your breath.
lucky for remus, he's got super hearing powers due to his lycanthropy so he heard that as clear as the sky is blue. "we can do what girlfriend and boyfriend do," remus answered shyly, playing with the end of your blanket that dropped from your bed.
"excuse me ma'am, you haven't asked me for dinner yet and now we're girlfriend and boyfriend?" you said in a joking manner to ease the tension out.
"okay let's do baby steps. come here, m'love, want to hold my girl," he opened his arms with his eyes closed. does he even know how cute he is right now?

WIP Wednesday
So this is the Tommy calls Buck "Buck" fic, that deals with Margaret because I'm obsessed with the idea of Tommy being a little bit bitchy toward Buck and Maddie's parents. The beginning is the snippets that I wrote for the ask game the other night then I added to it a bit so it's all in one place.
tagged by the lovely @desert--moonchild
Tommy's never said this to Evan's face but he really, really dislikes his parents. He and Maddie commiserate, when they visit and bother to see Evan, about the condescending way they say 'Buck,' about the little digs and comments about his relationship with Tommy. He finds he has to bite his tongue more often than not. This visit happens to be for Jee's 5th birthday and, at the moment, Tommy's watching Evan play Barbies with her. Jee giggles and Evan laughs and Tommy watches fondly. But it's also then that he overhears Margaret's comment to Maddie where they're standing behind him. "I wonder if he'll ever grow up," Margaret says, like she's a long-suffering mother and Tommy seethes. He doesn't think Evan heard her, he's still happily playing with his niece. So he turns to Margaret and says, "I can attest that he's plenty grown, thank you." Maddie damn near does a spit take of the drink that she'd, unfortunately, chosen that moment to take a sip of. Margaret's face goes red and Tommy inwardly grins, but works to keep his face outwardly pleasant. "And just what does that mean?" Margaret splitters. "Oh, you know, just that he's a thirty-three year old man, in a dangerous job, in a relationship with another person for the last two years. I'd say that's pretty mature, don't you think?" Margaret is looking at him with an expression akin to polite hatred when he feels Evan wrap an arm around his waist. âWhat are we talking about?â he says brightly, kissing Tommyâs cheek. âOh, nothing much,â Maddie breaks in and Tommy can see sheâs struggling mightily not to laugh, which is good because he was afraid for a minute that he might have gone too far. Not for Margaret's sake, but he probably shouldn't start something at a five-year-old's birthday party. But from the look on Maddie's face, he's safe. âTommy was just telling us how great you are.â âHe is,â Tommy agrees. âHeâs my favorite person. He worked hard to help organize this party too.â Evan shrugs a little shyly and Tommy marvels at how much different his demeanor is when heâs around his parents, as though heâs trying not to take too much space. âIt was fun.â âYou did a good job,â Maddie says fondly. âI helped a little too,â Tommy says, which is true. âRight, Buck?â Even Maddie looks surprised at that. Evan blinks at him slowly. Then says, âYes, you did, and, no absolutely not on the name.â Tommy looks at him innocently. He knows he's going to have to explain himself later, but he's almost looking forward to it. âSure, baby.â Margaret looks extremely confused.

Can I request a fluffy Joseph Quinn x fem! reader long oneshot where reader wakes up and hears laughter and finds Joseph in their daughters room playing with her and as reader watches them she reflects on how she met Joseph when she took her niece to a Comic Con to meet him and it was love at first sight?
The Alchemy
Joseph Quinn x Fem!Reader
Summary: Seeing Joe with your daughter, you couldn't help but look back on the first time you met him. That one normal day you dreaded so much that turned into something so beautiful and important, almost like a golden daylight you never knew before.
Author's Note: I barely write any fics that involves with kids, so this is a rare one for me. Somehow, I enjoyed it! :) Comments are always welcome!
Wordcount: 5.3K
Letting out a deep breath, you smiled at the work that you just finished. Organizing the living room and the kitchen every day was getting harder, but you werenât complaining. It was the trails that your toddler would leave behind. Her stuffed animals, puzzles, books and Barbie dolls. After putting them all back in the bin, you finally sighed in relief, ready to just crawl under the bed covers and be in Joeâs arms.Â
However, laughter and giggles echoed down the hall and caught your attention. Looking at the time, you realized that it was late. Well, late for your daughter to be up at this hour. Walking down the hall and into her bedroom, you found Joe, still in his work clothes, on the floor playing with Rosie.Â
âHi! Iâm Miss Bunny!â Joe used his baby talk, letting the stuffed bunny hop in front of Rosie.Â
âBunny!â Rosieâs fingers were on her mouth as she used her other hand to point at the stuffed bunny.
âMiss Bunny thinks itâs time for bedtime!â Joe let the stuffed bunny dance towards Rosie, who giggled happily.
You leaned against the doorframe and smiled, watching Rosie laugh as Joe tackled her with the bunny kisses. He then reeled her in his lap and attacked her with kisses all over her face. Rosieâs brunette curls were all disheveled the moment Joe pulled away. He laughed softly, stroking his daughterâs hair as she wrapped her tiny arms around Joeâs neck. She laid her head on his shoulder and yawned softly, while Joe caressed her back.
âMy little Rosie.â He murmured, giving her a soft kiss on the forehead.Â
âDaddy⌠love.â Rosie said, yawning again.
âI love you too, darling.âÂ
Joe started humming softly as he rocked Rosie in his arms. As you watched them, you couldnât help but remember how you and Joe first met. If someone would have told you back then that this was going to be your future, you probably would have laughed so hard at how ridiculous it would sound. It was something you never knew that could happen in your life.Â
Ever.
It started one Friday afternoon when your sister came knocking on your door. You sighed as soon as you saw her car outside the window. You love your sister. You really did, but you were tired of babysitting her daughter every time she needed to go do something. You had your own life too, and you were stressed out at work already.Â
âWhat is it?â You asked as soon as you opened the door.
Camille gave you a shy smile as your eyes shifted towards your niece, Zoe, who was sitting at the passenger seat of Camilleâs car. The window was down, and she was occupied with her phone. Your niece was 13 years old and somehow, your sister always wanted you to watch her.
âNo, Camille.â You shook your head before she could say anything. âIâm not babysitting tonight. I had a long day at work. I donât have the energy to deal with kids right now.â
âNo, no.â Camille shook her head. âIâm not here to ask you to babysit. Itâs just that⌠this weekendâŚâ
You raised your brow at her, leaning your body against the door frame and your arms crossed in front of your chest.Â
âWhat about this weekend?â You asked.
âYou see, thereâs this comic con convention in the city, and Zoe has been begging me to take her because her favorite celebrity is going to be in it, but I canât go this weekend because I have this project at work.â Camille let out a deep sigh. âI was wondering if you could take her, please?â
âNoâNo!â You repeatedly shook your head. âA comic con? No way! Thatâs way too crowded for me and you know I hate that! Besides, Iâm not a fan of those things.âÂ
âYou donât have to be a fan to go,â Camille explained. âCan you please just take her? She has been asking for this. She has been wanting to meet this guy. She really likes him.âÂ
âItâs a guy?!â Your eyes widened. âWhat does she know about liking a guy? Sheâs like five.â
âSheâs 13, honey.â Your sister tilted her head at you. âHeâs a celebrity named Joe⌠something. I donât know, heâs from this show called Stranger Things.â
âStranger what?â You furrowed your brows and shook your head again. âNo, no. What am I gonna do there?â
âJust please accompany her? Iâll pay for everything. Your gas, both of your food and even your admission ticket.â
You sighed, shifting your eyes at Zoe, who was now looking at the both of you. She had pleading eyes, and you knew she was silently begging you to say yes to accompany her.
âDo I have to stand in line to meet this man?â You asked, shifting your eyes back to Camille.
âI donât think so.â She shrugged. âI guess it depends on their age rules, but you literally just have to accompany her. You donât have to interact with anyone.â
You rubbed your forehead and scrunched your face as you agreed. Your sister should be glad that you love your niece or else, you would have said no to this, and she wouldnât be able to convince you at all.
Camille smiled, pulling you into a hug and said, âThank you!â
You pointed your index finger at her, raising your brow and said, âYouâre paying for all of this. Iâm not spending a single dime.â
Camille nodded her head and said, âOh and⌠um⌠can you please not smoke in front of Zoe?â
You were taken aback by her little comment as you gasped softly. âYou smoke in your household, Camille!â
âNo, I havenât!â She argued. âI havenât smoked in years.â
You sighed, shaking your head in disbelief. Why was she acting like she was all innocent?
Camille took a step forward, touching you by the forearm. Her eyes were practically begging as she said, âI know you smoke when youâre stressed, and I know the crowd stresses you out. Itâs just that Zoe is growing older, and I donât want her to be picking up those kinds of habits.â
You scoffed, âSpeak for yourself.â
âI know.â Camille admitted. âShe doesnât need to be like me before.â
You rolled your eyes and nodded at her as she gave you another thankful smile before walking away. As your sister slid herself back into the driverâs seat, you saw Zoe smiled at you and looked down at her phone. In just a second, your phone vibrated in your pocket and saw Zoe texting you a thank you as the car pulled away from your driveway.Â
Entering back into your place, you flopped yourself on the sofa and sighed. You didnât understand how your sister could have a daughter and could barely be there for her. This was why you told yourself that you could never have kids. There was too much time and needs that you needed to sacrifice just so you could take care of them.Â
Shaking your head, you googled the show Stranger Things just to at least know what this was all about. You scrolled through the list of cast and saw two men that have the same name as Joe. One with long thick straight hair and one with curly long hair. You wondered which one Zoe was so fond of. Not really caring about it, you exited google and spent the rest of the night cuddled with your blanket on your sofa, watching your shows.Â
However, when Saturday came, you were dreading to get up. It was way too early and why were comic cons started at 10am? It was a Saturday! Who wanted to get up that early for it? For what? For an autograph and a picture?Â
On the way to your sisterâs house, you grabbed yourself a cup of coffee and when you arrived, you found Zoe already waiting for you on the front porch. She looked excited and nervous at the same time. She had a backpack with her, and you furrowed your brows as you studied the outfit that she was wearing.Â
When did your sister approve of this sort of outfit?
In your opinion, you didnât think it was bad. However, in your sisterâs eyes? You knew she had an argument with Zoe this morning when she saw that t-shirt she was wearing.Â
âHellfire Club?â You tugged on Zoeâs shirt lightly as soon as she slid herself on the passenger seat.Â
âSo, your mom was okay with you having a picture of the devil on your shirt?â You raised your brow at her, making Zoe roll her eyes.
âShe doesnât know it.â Zoe shrugged. âItâs from the show. Itâs not really the devil, Auntie.â
You chuckled softly, âSo, this is not like a cult thing?â
Zoe sighed and said, âNo, itâs not! Auntie, I thought youâre the cool Aunt. I thought you would be cool about this?â
âI am cool about this!â You argued, tugging on her shirt lightly again. âLet me see.â
Zoe turned her body to face you as she looked down at her shirt and gave you a proud smile. You chuckled softly, poking her stomach softly.
âI actually think you look pretty cool.â You smiled before finally driving out of the driveway.Â
Zoe smiled as she scrolled through her phone. For a moment, there was a comfortable silence between the two of you as you entered the freeway and made your way to the city. You looked over to Zoe and saw that she was scrolling through the website of the comic con.Â
âSo, whoâs this Joe guy, anyway?â You asked, interrupting the silence.
You saw the grin on Zoeâs face widened as she focused her eyes on the phone of her screen. Not a minute later, she held up her phone with a picture of a guy. He was wearing the same Hellfire Club shirt, long curly hair and had tattoos.Â
âThatâs him?â You laughed. âWith the perm and everything?â
âThatâs just his character. Heâs wearing a wig.â Zoe slumped on her seat, sighing.Â
You laughed softly, shaking your head. You continued to focus your eyes on the road as the skyline of the city slowly appeared in front of you. Zoe looked out the window for a moment, and you couldnât help but glance at her. You saw the frustration in her eyes as you bit your lower lip. You didnât mean to upset her over a picture, and you could tell she was going through something else.
âHey,â You reached your hand over, patting her lap. âIâm sorry. You know Iâm just teasing you.â
Zoe turned to you and nodded her head. âItâs just that⌠he already gets so much hate online, you know? Heâs such a sweet guy, and I wish people were nicer.â
You couldnât help but smile and squeezed her hand lightly. âPeople just donât have anything to do with their lives thatâs why theyâre being like that.â
âYeahâŚâ Zoe looked down at her lap. âMom just doesnât understand it either.â
âWell, you know how your mom is.â You rolled your eyes. âSheâs too stiff and strict. She got that from your grandma.â
Zoe let out a sigh, setting her chin on the palm of her hand as she looked out the window.Â
âOh, câmon. Cheer up. Youâre going to meet him soon.â You gave her a reassuring smile.Â
Zoe gave you a nervous smile, nodding her head. She took your hand in hers and squeezed it lightly. As Zoe grew older, she was more comfortable sharing things with you than Camille. It wasnât like you didnât scold her about certain things. Camille was just too strict, and she never tried to understand that Zoe was growing up, and she was in a phase where she was experimenting different things to learn more about herself.Â
Arriving at the convention center, you walked in with Zoe and immediately saw a crowd of people already. It took about 15 minutes just entering the building, which you didnât understand because you both were here before it even opened. Your eyes studied the room, looking at the people dressed up in different characters. You wonder how long it took them to dress up like that. They all looked really cool.Â
âOh, over there!â Zoe tugged on your arm, pointing towards the corner at the back.Â
Your eyes immediately saw the big banner that had a picture of Joeâs character with his name plastered next to it. Grabbing you by the wrist, Zoe dragged you quickly towards it, stumbling and bumping through the crowd.
âOkay, slow down, Zoe.â You said.Â
âI canât. The photo op is supposed to be at 11.â Zoe explained. âItâs already almost 10:30. I wanna be in line already.â
You took a deep breath and your eyes widened immediately as soon as you both arrived at the booth. The line was already long, and you followed Zoe all the way to the back and sighed. The crowd was making you anxious, and Zoe being in a panic and nervous mode wasnât helping you either.Â
âHow long is this going to take?â You asked.
Zoe shrugged. âIt starts at 11. Maybe an hour or so?â
Your eyes widened. âOkay, how about this⌠Iâll be right back.â
Zoe tilted her head at you, a brow raised. You swore whenever she gave you that look, she looked exactly like your sister.Â
âYouâre already stressed? Are you gonna go out for a smoke?â
âNo.â You immediately answered as you made a face. âIâm⌠just gonna look at stuff⌠outside. The city skyline looks nice.â
Zoe kept her brow raised, knowing the fact that you were lying in front of her face.Â
âMhmâŚâ
âJust stay here and if you ever move, just text me where you are.â You pointed your index finger at her. âDonât go anywhere far. I swear to god, Zoe. Your mother is going to kill me.â
Zoe rolled her eyes as you walked away. Walking through the crowds, you found two sliding doors that walked out to the balcony. The skyline of the city was right in front of it, and you couldnât help but admire it as you took out a cigarette from your purse and lit it up. You exhaled a sharp breath, puffing out the smoke when another person joined you.Â
Glancing to your side, you watched as he fumbled through his coat pockets. The cigarette was tucked between his lips, and he looked like he was looking for his lighter.Â
âGreat.â He murmured under his breath, taking the cigarette that was between his lips and exhaled a sharp breath.
Taking your lighter from your pocket, you took a few steps towards him and handed it to him. As he gazed up at you, his chocolate button eyes immediately caught yours. A small gasp was caught in your throat as you stared at him for a moment. As he slipped the lighter from your hands, you felt his touch on your fingers and suddenly, you felt something sparked inside of you.
Almost like the chemicals in your brain have changed.Â
âThank you.â He gave you a shy smile before lighting his cigarette.Â
You nodded your head, giving him a faint smile as he gave you back your lighter. You noticed the English accent that slipped through his voice and wondered if he was just visiting town.Â
A comfortable silence surrounded the both of you for a moment before he interrupted and said, âOverwhelmed?â
You chuckled softly. âI donât like the crowds.â
He nodded his head and blew a puff of smoke into the air and continued, âMe too. Gives me anxiety.â
You gave him a soft smile and looked towards the view of the skyline in front of the both of you. Then, you glanced over to him again.
âYâŚYou work for the convention?â You asked.
âUmâŚâ He laughed softly, scratching the back of his head. âI guess you could say that.â
âI donât know how you do it. Working and dealing with all those crowds?â You shook your head. âItâs why I choose to work in an office.â
The man chuckled softly, putting his cigarette out and said, âI guess so but after saying hi and taking pictures with them, itâs sort of worth it.â
You furrowed your brows at the small comment that he just made. For a moment, you were confused as to what he was talking about. You looked over your shoulder and through the glass windows and saw the banner that was literally underneath Zoe before slowly looking back at the man in front of you. You felt your cheeks flushed when you realized who it was. Putting out your cigarette, you let out a small laugh and shook your head.
âWhat?â He asked.
âMy nieceâŚâ You laughed, turning to face him. âShe would kill me right now if she knew who I was talking to.â
He gave you a wide smile, âIâm guessing you donât watch Stranger Things?â
âI actually didnât find out about it until just yesterday.â Your cheeks flushed again.Â
You didnât know why you were feeling embarrassed. There was literally nothing to be embarrassed about. You just didnât watch the show nor knew him at all. That was all. It wasnât a crime or anything.Â
âIâm just accompanying my niece because my sister canât seem to show up for her daughter lately.â You rolled your eyes. âI donât know why she would have a child if she canât even take care of her. It was like she just doesnât even care. I mean⌠Zoe is literally growing up so fast, and she doesnât even realize thatââ
You glanced at him and saw an amused smile that was tugging on his lips. You bit your lower lip and looked away for a moment.
âAnd⌠Iâm ranting to you. Iâm so sorry.â You laughed softly, playing with the lighter in your hands.Â
âItâs okay.â He grinned widely. âI totally understand. One of my mates back in London is sort of the same. He tends to leave his kids to his sister, and I honestly feel like he doesn't care at all.â
âYeahâŚâ You looked down at your fingers.Â
âBut I think itâs cool that you accompanied your niece to meet me.â Joe gave you a warm smile that suddenly made your stomach turn. âNot many people would do that, especially for a convention like this.â
You pursed your lips, giving him a small smile as you kicked the metal railing softly with your foot. Your head hung low, and you could feel your heartbeat race faster. Why was it all of a sudden, you were feeling a little shy?Â
âIâm Joe, by the way.â
He held out his hand and right before you could shake his hand, your flustered self dropped the lighter on the floor. You let out a nervous laugh as Joe picked it up on the ground and handed it to you. You introduced yourself as you took the lighter from his hand, feeling his touch against your skin again. Once again, you felt the electricity sparked inside of you, and you couldnât explain what it was.Â
âNice to meet you.â Joe smiled.Â
âYoâŚYou too.âÂ
âI should get back. I have fans waiting for me.â Joe made his way towards the double doors.
âOf course.â
As he walked away, you turned your back towards the double doors and slapped your palm on your forehead, feeling so stupid and embarrassed. You didnât even know why. You were never nervous when it came to talking to men, so why were you all flustered towards Joe? Was it because he was a celebrity or was it because you didnât even recognize him, and you had the audacity to rant about your personal life to some stranger?
Shaking your head, you made your way back inside the convention center and waited for Zoe to finish off her photo ops with Joe. You sat in the corner and watched everyone around the center for a moment, before you occupied yourself with some work on your phone.Â
âAuntie!â Zoe called out, running towards you. âLook! Look!â
She squealed, handing you two printed pictures of her and Joe. You smiled and stared at the picture. One of the pictures was Joe hugging her tightly and the other one was them doing peace signs, and his tongue was sticking out in a goofy and dorky way.
âWas he nice?â You asked.Â
âYes, he was so sweet! He said that he liked my shirt, and he called me darling.â
You laughed, taking the pictures from her. âHere let me hold this for you, while you prepare to go get his autograph.â
âOkay.â Zoe fixed her heavy backpack, but you were quick to grab her gently by her straps.
âZoe, youâre struggling with that. Let me hold this for you.â You said, sliding her backpack off her shoulders.Â
As you set the backpack on the table in front of you, you helped fix Zoeâs shirt and just in time, Joe had walked by. Your eyes caught his as he gave you a warm smile when he passed by. Zoe was literally bouncing off her feet, while you were trying to fix her shirt but it was no use, she wouldnât stay still.
âZoe, sweetheart. Calm down.â You said, squeezing her arm softly.
âIâm gonna go!â Zoe said, walking away from you.
âOkay, text meââ You sighed and rubbed your forehead.Â
The rest of the day was slow. After Zoe had received her autograph from Joe, she had dragged you into his panel, and you sat there the whole time, watching him. His expressions and how he interacted with his fans. He was sweet to all of them and you were lucky enough to be sitting in the front row. Your sister truly had spent a lot of money for Zoe to get that VIP seat. You couldnât help but wonder every time Joe glanced towards you, if he was thinking about that embarrassing conversation that you two had earlier.Â
âYou know, heâs only two years older than you.â Zoe had told you later that night.Â
Since you had a long exhausting day running around with Zoe, you decided to abuse your sisterâs credit card and took you and Zoe to a nice restaurant. That stress level from the crowd and making sure Zoe didnât run off got you craving for steak. Something that you knew your sister was going to shake her head and roll her eyes. You couldnât help but grin at the thought of it. Camille always had teased you all her life so when you had grown older, you kept giving her a payback every chance you got.Â
âSo?â You raised your brow.
âSo? I saw him looking at you during his panel.â Zoe shrugged, playing with the mashed potatoes in front of her. âWhy did he keep glancing at you?â
âWho knows.â You took a sip of your wine and continued eating.Â
âMaybe he found you pretty or something.â
You barked out a laugh, shaking your head. âZoe, stop spending so much time on the internet. Itâs rotting your brain.â
âWhat? It could happen.â She shrugged and ate the mashed potatoes.Â
âZoe, heâs an actor.â You made sure that she understood it.
âYeah, butââ
âExcuse me.â The server came by your table, smiling at you. âThis was ordered for you.â
She sets a bottle of wine in front of you along with a slice of tiramisu cake in front of Zoe. You straightened yourself on your chair, wondering who the server was talking about. Following the serverâs gaze behind her, you saw Joe sitting across the room. He was with another man, who looked like his friend or something. The man sitting next to him was literally grinning ear from ear as he nudged Joe on the arm.Â
âOhmygod.â Zoe gasped.
Your eyes widened as you saw Zoeâs expression turned into a panic mode. You felt your heartbeat race again when you saw Joe get up from his chair and walked towards your table. Zoe grabbed you by the wrist, and you swore for a 13 year old, she could snap your wrist in half from the way she was gripping it.Â
âZoe.â You gave her a look and a warning voice to calm down and behave herself.Â
âHi.â Joe smiled at you. âWe meet again.â
âAgain?!â Zoe exclaimed, shifting her attention to you.Â
You squeezed her hand softly under the table to calm herself down as you smiled at Joe. âAre you stalking me?â You joked.
âAre you sure youâre not stalking me?â Joe retorted back.
âWell, I was here first before you, wasnât I?â
Joe was silent for a moment before shrugging and nodding his head in agreement. A small laugh escaped from him before his eyes turned to Zoe.Â
âHi.â He grinned at her. âNice to meet you again.â
âYou too.â Zoe smiled excitedly. âIâm such a big fan.â
âThank you.â Joe nodded before turning to you again. âMay I?â
You nodded your head as he pulled up a chair next to you. You wonder if you were dreaming. You wonder if this was real, and you certainly wonder how the hell Zoe was just talking about this and now, it was happening? Was this some sort of prank? Were you on camera right now? Glancing towards your niece, she focused her attention on her food, but she was practically giddy on her seat.
âYou didnât have to do all this, you know?â You said, pointing at the wine and the tiramisu cake.
âActually, itâs a little thank you.â Joe cleared his throat. âEver since our conversation earlier, I couldnât help but think about how I never had a conversation like that in a long time. You know, something real and genuine?â
You nodded your head towards the man that was sitting on their table. âHe doesnât give you genuine conversations?âÂ
Joe looked over his shoulder and laughed softly. âHeâs my manager. Most of our conversations involve work.â
âAh,â You nodded your head in understanding. âWell, Iâm glad I was able to give you that.â
âWell, I was hoping that maybe we could continue more conversations like that.â
You bit your lower lip as soon as you felt Zoe kicked you on the leg under the table. You clench your jaw from the pain that you felt. You swore Zoe was going to get an earful from you later on. As you continued your conversation with Joe, he had given you his number at the end of the night, and Zoe was practically excited and giddy when you both returned in the car.Â
âYouâre literally the coolest Aunt.â Zoe had told you later that night when you had dropped her off home. âThank you for coming with me today. It really means a lot.â
You smiled as you helped her slip her backpack on. âYou know Iâm always here for you, Zoe. I know I get busy at times but if thereâs any problem or anything you need, Iâm a text away, alright?â
Zoe smiled, wrapping her arms around your waist and embraced you. It was that night when you realized that the reason why you were always so irritated with Camille for bringing Zoe for you to babysit was because you cared too much about her. You didnât want Zoe to have a distant relationship with her mom because she was always busy with work. You wanted Zoe to have a safe and healthy relationship with her family because she deserved so much love and happiness in this world.Â
âHey, I didnât know you were there.â Joeâs voice snapped you out of your thoughts.Â
Rosie was fast asleep in his arms as you smiled and walked towards them. Joe was still sitting on the floor, his hand gently caressing Rosieâs back. She had her head against his shoulder, face pressed on his neck.Â
âWhat are you thinking?â Joe whispered.Â
âYouâŚâ You smiled, rubbing Rosieâs back softly. âZoe.. and Rosie.â
Joe smiled slightly, thinking about Zoe. He couldnât believe she was almost graduating high school now. When he first met her, she was this energetic 13 year old. Now, she was almost a grown adult and more energetic and smarter than ever.Â
âHer graduation is coming up pretty quickly.â Joe said.Â
âYeah, sheâs Valedictorian of her class. Iâm so proud of her.âÂ
Joe got up from the floor and walked over to Rosieâs bed and set her down gently. He covered her with her blanket, tucking her in comfortably before setting the stuffed bunny next to her. Turning to face you, he wrapped his arms around your waist, giving you a soft kiss on the lips.
âIf it wasnât for Zoe, we wouldnât be here right now.â Joe murmured.
You let out a soft hum, wrapping your arms around his neck. âThatâs true⌠We wouldnât have Rosie either.â
Unwrapping his arms from you, Joe looked over his shoulder and stared at Rosie, who was fast asleep. He knelt down next to her bed, softly brushing her brunette curls away from her face before placing a soft kiss on her hair.
âI donât know where I would be without the both of you.â Joe smiled.Â
Kneeling down next to him, you placed a soft kiss on Rosieâs forehead. When you were pregnant with Rosie, you and Joe had promised each other that no matter how busy life gets, you both will always put her first no matter what.Â
âI love you both so much.â You whispered.
âMama?â You gazed down at Rosie, who fluttered her eyes open.
She reached her arms towards you as you smiled and picked her up in your arms.
âGet some rest, sweetheart.â You rocked her softly, while Joe rubbed her back.
As you set her back down on her bed, you felt Rosieâs arms tightened around your neck. You chuckled softly at Joe as he shook his head.Â
âIn bed with us it is then.â Joe stated.
Walking out of Rosieâs room, Joe followed behind you, turning the lights off and went to freshen up as you settled Rosie on the bed between the both of you. You tucked her in the bed before you went to change into your pajamas. Not moments later, Joeâs arms wrapped around your waist, hugging you from behind.
âThat dayâŚâ Joe kissed your cheek softly, turning you around to face him. âWhen you started talking about Camille, and I saw you all flustered, I knew that I wanted to get to know more about that girl that I met on the balcony.â
You chuckled softly, running your hands down his chest. âIt was the first time I ever felt something like that to anyone. It was like the chemicals in my brain twisted and turned into something I never knew before.â
You wrapped your arms around his neck, kissing him softly on the lips. Joe pressed your body against his as he kissed you deeper and hungrily.
âIt was like suddenly, everything was golden. Like I saw colors I never knew before.â You said once you pulled away from the kiss.Â
âYou and Rosie are my life.â Joe murmured. âYou both are everything to me.â
He softly caressed your cheek with his thumb before taking your hand and took you to the bedroom. As you settled on your sides of the bed, Joe wrapped an arm around Rosie, giving her a kiss on her forehead again before moving over and giving you a quick kiss. With both of them like this in your bed, you couldn't help but thanked your little stars for bringing Joe into your life, and you certainly thanked your little stars for letting your sister dragged you to that comic con with Zoe.Â
Who knew that one day that you dreaded so much turned into something so important?Â
Who knew that was going to be the beginning of your life forever?Â
The End.

BONUS [ RP STONT ] â confessions of an idiot (irl)
miny/n's 100 day anniversary for their... 'relationship'.
WARNINGS ; low self-esteem, fluff, gay ppl being gay
y/n liked minji. a lot.
she liked the way her eyes turned into crescents when she smiled, and the way she whined whenever the older girl teased her too much. she liked the lingering smell of pine whenever the younger idol hugged her, or the way minji's arms felt like home.
but like many things, minji came with flaws. one of which being her choice in movies (if you could even call it a 'movie').
y/n cuddled into minji, rolling her eyes once the main lead of the 'kissing booth' entered the frame.
she could feel minji tense up against her, making the older girl frown. how was minji attracted to someone named 'noah'?
grumbling, y/n found herself pulling away from minji. "he's not even that cute."
"huh?" minji's head snapped towards her, trying to pull the other girl closer. truth be told, minji hadn't been focusing on the movie at all. her brain was scattered everywhere, going through all the things that danielle, haerin, and hanni had helped the older girl plan. "what are we talking about?"
y/n fought back a blush, resting her head onto minji's shoulder. "that noah guy."
"oh." minji looked at y/n, and she felt like she was gonna explode. "i guess so."
y/n hummed, focusing on the movie in front of her and minji wanted nothing more than to kiss the girl in front of her, watching as the light from the tv made the older girl's eyes sparkle. the younger girl felt herself smile. the idol didn't know how she managed to find y/n, but she couldn't help but thank the universe for leading her to the girl.
minji wondered if this was what love felt like.
"minji," y/n whispered, the credits rolling as the younger traced her side profile with her eyes. "can i tell you something?"
"yeah." minji said, her voice barely a whisper. "yeah, of course."
"you're a great person." y/n smiled at the girl, eyes full of warmth. "but that movie was ass."
minji leaned back, pouting slightly.
"it was not!"
y/n bit back a smile. she didn't understand how minji could be so adorable without trying.
"it was. the entire concept of the movie was unrealistic," y/n explained, choosing to ignore the way minji rolled her eyes (because why did y/n care about realism when one of her favorite movies were barbie and the nutcracker?) "and why would they ride a motorcycle out in the rain? why was that other guyâ"
"his name was lee." minji grumbled, and y/n struggled to not kiss the idol right there.
"why was lee so possessive of her, anyways?"
minji squinted her eyes, not noticing the smile that y/n was giving her. "didn't you say kazuha-sunbaenim was possessive of you too?"
"i mean, yeah," y/n nodded, her cheeks hurting. "but she'd never prevent me from dating you."
minji's eyes widened. she swore her heart stopped beating at that very moment.
"...huh?"
"for example!" y/n rushed, not realizing her tongue has slipped. "i mean."
minji nodded, biting the side of her cheek. her heart was beating erratically, and she suddenly found herself relating to every love song that was ever made.
"you're lucky you're cute, kim minji." y/n whispered, the lights still dimmed from the movie. minji was sure she was going to explode any moment now. "why do you like it so much anyway?"
y/n watched as the younger girl looked around, almost as if she was looking for an excuse to avoid the question.
minji locked eyes with her, and the younger idol sighed.
"it, um..." minji could feel her cheeks burning red. "it reminds me of us."
y/n squinted. "like the main girl and the guy with the last name with the first name?"
minji shook her head. "i meant elle and noah."
"am i noah..?" y/n couldn't help but frown. "he's crazy and insane! is that how you see me?!"
y/n could feel a pit of guilt brewing in her stomach. from what she noticed, he was overbearing, sometimes even borderline scary. even though he had the right idea, it never made up for the fact that he scared y/n.
y/n didn't want to be like her dad.
"no! of course not!" minji shook her head, her eyes widening. "it's embarrassing."
"it can't be worse than being compared to that guy," y/n grumbled, minji wrapping her arm around her waist.
"they're like us." minji whispered, ignoring the glance that y/n sent her. "they kinda hated each other at first but he ends up making elle the happiest. he makes her comfortable, like nothing matters. that's how you make me feel."
the older girl looked at her, watching as minji waited for a response, eyes anticipating a response. if y/n didn't know any better, it was almost as if minji had confessed her undying love to her.
"oh." y/n pushed down a giggle. "okay."
"he's nice to look at, too." minji muttered, turning back to the tv as she searched for another movie to watch.
y/n rolled her eyes before looking back at the girl, a sly smile on her face.
"kim minji, are you saying i'm nice to look at?"
she was going to die today, and it would be y/n's fault.
"what?"
"oh my god, kim minji..." y/n couldn't stop herself from giggling, hitting minji's arm lightly. minji suddenly felt conscious about the space in between them. "if you wanted to ask me out, you should've just told me."
y/n knew that minji would only see her words as a joke, but she couldn't help but mean it. sometimes, like right now, y/n wished she would just tell minji, even if it meant ruining their friendship.
"unnie, please." minji struggled to get out, the words nearly getting caught in her throat.
"you're so cute." y/n sighed, resting her head on the taller girl's broad shoulders.
the two scrolled through multiple movies, sitting in silence and basking in the presence of each other.
y/n hummed, listening to minji as she muttered the synopsis of each movie they passed, and she was glad she was in the same universe as kim minji.
"did you like my gift?" y/n asked, minji's eyes furrowing as she quickly skipped the horror section.
"yeah." minji nodded, sighing as she put the remote down. "i should've gotten you something, too."
"it's okay." y/n shook her head. as long as minji was around, that would be enough for her. "i just wanted to get you something this time. you always take good care of me, even though i'm the older one."
"i like taking care of you." minji's hand flinched as she looked at y/n's hand near her thigh. "you deserve it."
"i believe you." y/n said truthfully, grabbing the younger girl's hand with a squeeze. "i like taking care of you, too."
minji looked y/n straight in the eyes. a million thoughts ran through the older idol's mind, every single one being about the girl in front of her.
kim minji was everything y/n had ever wanted, and y/n hoped that minji felt the same way about her.
"minji?"
y/n could feel her heart in her ears.
minji tilted her head. "yeah, unnie?"
the room filled with y/n's voice... coming from minji's phone,
the older girl glanced at the phone as minji scrambled to find it, cursing at herself for letting hanni touch it.
"is that..."
"no, it's not!"
minji was going to kill hanni the next time she saw her.
"that is my voice!" y/n sucked in her laughter. minji was clearly embarrassed, and the older girl didn't want to make her feel worse.
"wait," y/n paused, her voice in the background slightly distracting her. "are you getting me another cake?"
"what? no?" minji lied, her face stoic. y/n continued to stare at her. "okay, maybe. how'd you know?"
"you did it last time." y/n looked at the floor, minji's phone under the table. it wouldn't hurt to tease the younger girl a little more. "are you gonna turn my voice off orâ"
minji groaned, shutting it off before standing up.
"i'll be right back."
"do you need help?" y/n asked, standing up with her.
"no!" minji panicked. she needed to revise what she was going to say in her head. "i'm okay!"
"are you sure?" y/n asked, her grin turning sinister. "i can always use my voice toâ"
"unnie!" minji covered her face.
"sorry!" y/n giggled, sitting on the ground as she smiled at the taller girl. "you're so fun to tease, kim minji."
minji took a deep breath, and y/n couldn't help but feel bad. the younger girl was bright red. y/n was sure she was gonna die from overheating if she kept going.
"i'll be right back."
y/n nodded, watching as minji walked down the hall.
"don't make me wait too long, kim minji."
"i won't." minji smiled like it meant something more. "i promise."
minji entered her room, leaving the idol in the dark.
as she heard the door click, it took everything in y/n to not scream. her heart was about to burst, and it was minji's fault. y/n didn't understand how she could feel so intensely for someone she hated months before.
minji was someone she hated. she was someone who reminded y/n about her shortcomings. y/n was never pretty enough, never consistent enough. she was never minji. every time younger girl took a breath, it was a punch to her gut. she would never be someone like minji, and she used to hate it.
but she didn't need to be minji, she just needed to be herself and slowly, that was becoming enough for her.
(she had told chaewon the same thing earlier that day, and the older girl cried so hard that she had almost puked.)
she knew there was a chance that minji didn't like her. she was kim minji, after all. she deserved the world, and more. y/n knew she could give it to the girl if minji would let her, but sometimes it didn't work out that way.
y/n wanted nothing more than to love kim minji the way that she felt loved by her.
"god, i'm losing my mind." y/n whispered, staring at the moon through the curtain.
"unnie."
minji could feel her hands shaking under the cake as y/n turned around, the entire room dark except for the candles and the moonlight.
y/n smiled. "minji."
"happy 100th anniversary." the younger girl whispered, setting the cake down slowly. she could feel her nerves slowly starting to creep up. "sorry i took so long, i couldn't find the candles."
liar, minji thought to herself, you rehearsed in front of the mirror the entire time.
"don't worry." y/n looked at minji, and minji swore to herself that she wasn't going to back out now. "at least you're back."
"wait," y/n took a closer look at the desert in front of her. in the corner, two macaroons were stacked on top of each other, one a brown bear and the other a wide-eyed puppy. "is this supposed to be us?"
"yeah." minji could feel her chest swelling up in pride as she took a picture of y/n inspecting the cake. "sorry if it looks off. haerin tried to eat the one that looked like me."
"it's okay, i love it." y/n never felt more seen in her life. "it's perfect."
minji couldn't stop looking at y/n as took pictures of the cake, happiness radiating from her body. the younger girl smiled, moving to sit next to y/n.
"make a wish, unnie." minji whispered.
y/n turned her head. "do it with me."
"but it's your cake?"
"but it's our anniversary."
minji smiled, and she was sure that y/n could see right through her. "are you sure?"
"yeah." there weren't many moments in life when y/n was 100% confident in her decisions, but she's never been more sure until now. "i'm sure."
the room turned silent. both looked at the candles, reliving every single thing that lead up to this moment. minji could feel her stomach churning, the adrenaline rush making her sigh loudly.
i hope to make her this happy forever, the two thought.
closing their eyes, they prayed for their wishes to come true.
"happy anniversary, minji." y/n slowly opened her eyes, her eyes finding minji immediately, the moon framing the younger girl's face perfectly.
it was now or never.
"happy anniversary, unnie."
y/n bumped her arm as she leaned forward, squinting as she tried to find the mini-thems. "i wonder what the macaroons taste like."
"unnie."
y/n took a closer look. the bear had the same eyes as minji, and the dog had the same smile as her. "it looks like us!"
"unnie." minji tugged on y/n's arm.
y/n turned to sit back down, worry evident all over her face.
her eyebrows furrowed. "what's wronâ"
"promise to not talk until i'm done?" minji breathed out. "please."
y/n nodded.
"okay."
"when i first met you, you were sitting next to yunjin-unnie." minji smiled at the ground, her hands fidgeting as she tried to calm herself down. "you were eating a sandwich, laughing at one of the stupid jokes she made. you were wearing sweats and an oversized shirt that looked like a souvenir from australia. i remember you looking over at me, and you smiled. you hated me after that class, and i didn't see you smile again."
y/n nodded, remembering that day clearly. before, she had considered it the day that her life was ruined. now, she couldn't help but thank hybe for leading her to minji.
"i would see you in the halls between practices, or out with the other trainees and i hated it." minji looked up, the words caught in her throat as y/n listened to every word the girl said. she cleared her throat. "i hated how you avoided me. i hated how you glared at me whenever i was near you.
"i think what i hated the most was that i couldn't make you smile again."
minji watched as y/n's eyes softened, and suddenly minji forgot all the words she had rehearsed a mere ten minutes ago.
but she couldn't stop now.
"i'm not good with words." minji shook her head, y/n nodding along with a teasing smile. "i'm not someone who knows what they're feeling in the moment, but i know that when you smile at me, or when you're near me, i feel..." minji felt love. she was sure of it. (but not now. not yet.) "and maybe you won't believe me, but i can feel it whenever i'm around you. unnie, you make me feel so many things that i don't even understand."
"i like you, unnie."
suddenly, it was as if the world became quiet.
y/n didn't know what to do. all she knew was minji was in front of her, her eyes sparkling like first day they met. the moon painted her face, and y/n was sure that she's never seen anything more beautiful than kim minji in that exact moment.
"please say something." minji muttered, y/n's eyes staring right at hers. "i feel like i'm about to die."
"are you done?"
y/n liked minji a lot. her bad movie taste, her over-the-top planning, the way she cared for her, the way she made her feel like she was enough.
"i think sâ"
y/n leaned forward, her lips suddenly on minji's as her hand found its way to the side of the taller girl's neck. minji's eyes widened for a moment before her entire body relaxed.
the warmth of minji's lips made y/n smile against the girl's. kissing minji felt exactly how y/n felt around her.
minji was comfort in every single way.
y/n pulled back, her face flushed as minji blinked her eyes open, not a single thought behind the girl's eyes.
"you're so cute when you're nervous, kim minji." y/n whispered, stroking the side of minji's neck with her thumb. "i like you too. i'm sorry for hating you. i promise i'll smile for you more, okay?"
minji nodded lightly, before leaning in this time, wanting to taste y/n once more. y/n giggled at her eagerness, feeling minji's arm wrap around her waist.
y/n could get addicted to this.
pulling back slightly, her face still close to the other girl, y/n muttered against her mouth. "does this mean we're really dating?"
y/n felt minji tense up, her arms dropping from her sides.
"oh my god." minji covered her face, finally realizing what happened.
she had kissed kim y/n. no, kim y/n kissed her. kim y/n liked her back. the girl that was in front of her under the dim lights of her living room, face tinged red liked her back and kissed her. they were dating.
oh my god, minji touched her mouth, her eyes on y/n. oh my fucking god.
minji stood up stiffly.
"minji?"
"i'll be right back." minji managed to squeak out, her voice shaking and her face burning.
"minji, where are you going?" y/n watched as minji walked into the closest room, hearing a loud squeal after the door clicked shut.
y/n was losing her mind, but god, she liked kim minji so much.

I hate the Xander-Willow cheating plot line in season 3 as much as anyone, but I canât help but feel like it also makes complete sense.
Xander and Willow (and Jesse, forever ignored by the narrative) were friends long before Buffy showed up in Sunnydale. Willow talks about how they havenât always been as close in The Pack, but they have been a distinct and present part of each otherâs lives since close to when they began forming memories they would take to adulthood. Xander stole Willowâs Barbie when they were five. Xander thought Willow set a fire to get him fire trucks when he turned seven. These are people who were as enmeshed in each otherâs lives as people can be. And they both feel it slipping away. I think Xander is conscious of it in a way Willow isnât, what with his âwho am I going to call every night, and talk about what we did all dayâ revelation in Becoming. Willow, his Willow, wakes up and calls for Oz.
And Willow? She gets mad Xander is with Cordelia, and a large part of it is her crush and a part of it is their We Hate Cordelia Club. But part of it is, I think, the fact that they are no longer the people who call each other every night to talk about what they did all day. They used to be the kind of inseparable friends who had (almost) no secrets between them, crushes and abuse not withstanding. And now, there is a space between them. And that space comes from growing up, but I can see where growing up in this way, for these two characters in particular, is painful. And that particular pain of this particular loss can be interpreted by teenagers as romantic affection.
I ache for you now that youâre not around - it must be love. I see you in formalware, and I remember youâre going to be with someone who isnât me. The space that used to be mine now belongs to that someone else. And instead of recognizing it as the normal pangs when your relationship is no longer the *most* important, Xander and Willow assume itâs attraction.
It also explains how (and why) their dalliance disappears the second theyâre caught. Because they love each other, and they want that closeness back; but the loss of their partners - the people they actually romantically love - throws those feelings into sharp relief. They know they donât love each other in the way they assumed, but only when itâs too late (for Xander, anyway).
And I hate to bring it back to their families, but I do think a huge part of what makes Willow âWillowâ, and Xander âXanderâ, and Willow and Xander a âWillow and Xanderâ is the fact that Willow is neglected by her parents and Xander is abused by his. It must be that much more frightening to feel like youâre losing the person who loves you unconditionally, who pays attention to you, who stands up for you and checks on you and constantly makes space for you in their life. Xander depends on Willowâs care, and Willow depends on Xanderâs attention and protection. Losing that, for these potentially ephemeral high school relationships, would be itâs own kind of horror.
Like I said, I do hate this development, and I do think there are more reasons than just the above (Willow has wanted Xander for so long; Willow has felt overlooked for the Cordelias (and Buffys) of the world and now she is being chosen; Xander is jealous of Oz and possessive of Willow). But the above makes sense to me, character-wise. Itâs not what I would have done to make room for Cordelia to leave, but itâs not outside the bounds of who Xander and Willow are, in these moments.
#buffy the vampire slayer#willow rosenberg#xander harris#btvs meta#Iâve seen this critiqued since it aired but it has always angered and made sense to me in equal measure

Jang Wonyoung Perspective Reading
Disclaimer: No facts, just interpretation of the cards and messages I get.
I still wanted to get through my favorite male Kpop idols before I dive into any girl group members, but she was on my radar and she is known as a controversial Kpop figure, be it good or bad, she is talked about and sought after, so thought I get to her. So, of course the song Barbie Girl by Aqua came up for me. On the surface she can be depicted as such. In Korea she is the standard of what people would like to look like whether you agree or not. I do feel there could be more to her story. I hope it isn't as creepy as I think it may be, but we'll see, now to the cards.
Okay, well, this may go the route I was expecting. There is a lot of shame and guilt she feels. She got both the cards of gilded regret and down cast pride. This could be due to hate comments she gets. She may also get comments by people around her that make her feel like shit. Now with the is this me card, she doesn't particularly know who she is. Has she got plastic surgery? It is like she has no sense of self and maybe looks at herself and doesn't know who she is. She is molded to how they wanted her to be. Man, the Barbie Girl reference makes even more sense. She is just confused as to who she really is. There are things she has regretting doing and that she feels shame in. Now with this Bride in a Cage card, the person on the card is rather thin and frail, kind of a shell of themselves, practically dead inside. She may never feel good enough. I am getting the message body dysmorphia from the card, just the messenger, not saying she has it. It is like she thinks about is this really the direction I want to go. She has kind of morphed into their puppet is what I am getting. It is like she is a clone of herself. Who she was she isn't anymore and who she is now, she isn't sure, like she asks herself who am I? What do I think? She isn't sure.
There is like an inner battle with herself. This unwillingness to accept part of herself, probably more so her flaws. She fights anything that goes against her image, not sure what that means exactly. I can also see this card as people fighting for her attention. She prefers the solitude and being alone away from all the distractions. She can pretty much be a loner. There is a secure base she has made for herself, to keep her safe, she does her best to keep to her image. She does not want to fail, look weak, or show any cracks. There is a sense of forgiveness she has for others for maybe what they have done or said to her. I say she is more forgiving to them then maybe herself. Well, the card I didn't want to come out, but was expecting to come out was the traumatized card and that came out. I got hints of this in the Dark Mirror reading. She dealt with some sort of trauma, now is it the mean comments, the surgery she may have to go through, or some sort of abuse, not sure I want to go there. She is trying not to get angry, upset or frustrated about what has been done to her, but to rise above and keep her cool. I have to take deep breaths during this reading, because I am getting what I expected and I wanted to be wrong, now I still can be, but energetically, something is off here. I just want to say when someone gets traumatized, they tend to dissociate to help move on and not relive the past or situation. Like I am getting that wasn't me, that was someone else, this is kind of a coping strategy, this is what I am sensing, no facts.
Okay, love these cards here. I wanted to see a bit more positivity here. She has a strong divine feminine energy. Is she follows her intuition and connect with her spirituality and use her creative energy she can very move through this and gain success in her own right. She may be already doing this. She seems to be spiritually guided and protected at the moment that can help guide her in the right direction. There is something good for her to come out of her terrible past and things she may have faced. As long as she keeps kindness in her heart and communicates from the heart and does not allow this to harden her or make her into a villain, so what I am getting is you know how victims can being villains and repeat the cycle. This tells her to keep kindness within her, so she doesn't turn into that in whatever form that it would be for her. Like she can go on a path to being very nasty and cruel to others, possibly a bully, but she doesn't have to go down that path, hurt people do hurt others, but it doesn't have to be that way. She can break that cycle.
There is some spiritual growth she needs to and can learn from what has happened in her career. She may have had to face the challenges she has to obtain the growth she needs on a personal/spiritual level, but if she dealt with any sort of trauma/abuse not a great lesson to learn as a human. On a spiritual level it makes sense, but no one wants that on a human level, that is a terrible experience to go through. Her life mission is to gain spiritual lessons through her work. Now with this House 8 card, the keywords on the cards are about transformation and Karma. I read it as transforming Karma, so whatever karma she may have, she can transform it and break that chain of cycle.
Both these card numbers come to 11 from this spread. 10 is a closing of a cycle, so I see 11 as a new chapter and beginning for her. To release the old cycle and start new. They are asking her to trust things as they are and that things will align itself for her. To trust that things will work out for her. To kind of look at the big picture. They kind of, I say they, because I sense this is more guidance from the collective/guides, even though she won't see this, they may want us to know lol It is like they want her to look at this from a spiritual perspective to look to why it happened for her, but no to her, very hard to do that on a human level though. They are asking her to be more gentle, soft and kind, once again, to not get too hardened, cold and harsh from what she experienced. Okay, walking in circles here, now ended it with Tarot.
Okay, this 5 of Swords is very telling, a lot of keywords here, so she may be falling for the trap of being cruel to others, or this is done to her, or it is cycle. The keywords on this card are argumentative, hurtful comments, conflict with others, avoidant, challenging to be around and pushes others away. I feel these all apply to her. I feel she tends to keep her distance as much as possible, but can get triggered and say mean things, but this can also be done to her. See, now with the Libra energy, this is like the opposite energy, a need to please others, do what they are told. I can also get the vibe with certain Libra's is that they don't really know who they are, they kind of mold themselves to what other people want them to be. I can see that with her. So, on one end she could say hurtful things, but she always finds a way to make peace, she may be the one to always apologize, even if she isn't in the wrong. Now with the Queen of Pentacles, she is successful and abundant in her own right. Her career is very important to her. She values her career. This may be something she puts above anything else. She would do anything to hold tight to what she has and what she earned. There is a nurturing and giving aspect to her as well. I feel this woman earned and worked hard for what she has achieved and has been through a lot of shit to get there, so I give props to her for that.
Okay, that went how I expected it, of course the first parts were a bit hard, but there were some highlights here. I just hope she works on healing and listens to the guidance to be gentler towards herself and others. Happy I did this, quite fascinating.

just found this song a week or so ago, and i canât help but think of ellie every time i listen to it.. itâs called âshe calls me daddyâ by king mala⌠if you could write a fic based on it i would fxcking love itâĄ
She calls me daddy - (ellie williams x reader)
Hi anon! Firstly this song fucking slaps??? It low-key reminds me of moth to a flame by the weeknd just lesbian edition. Anyway I hope you enjoy <3333
This story is based off the song She calls me daddy by King Mala! If you can please listen to the song as you're reading:)
Pairing: ellie x fem!reader
requests are always open, feel free to leave one or just send me a song and I'll take it from there:)
Warnings: cheating, men, homophobic parents
Summary: You might be engaged but you still always go back to Ellie
wc: ????
She's a little bit psycho
But she follows
When I call in the middle of the night
It might be a little superficial
She plays with the boys
But she comes home to me
Little fucked up but I think it's official
'Cause she might be your girl
But she's calling me daddy
"Hi Els" she heard you talk with a hushed voice. A smile spread onto Ellies face at the sound of your voice.
"Can you come over? I miss you" Ellie admitted.
"I miss you too" she could hear the smile in your voice.
God why did you have to be so fucking cute?
Ellie couldn't even see your face, but she can imagine the blush that spreads across your cheeks. The way your eyes crinkle anytime she says anything to you.
She knew the affect she had on you, but if only you knew what you were doing to her. It's embarrassing to even think about it.
"I'll try to come..." you started.
Excitement filled Ellie, as she thought of everything the two of you could do. You could watch a movie, or she could do your hair.
Oh! Maybe you can paint her nails-
"but Josh is here so I'm not sure" you finished your sentence.
The joy Ellie felt moments ago fell flat at the mention of your fiancè's name. She wanted to groan whenever you mentioned him in any conversation.
Why do you care so much? You don't even love him.
You quickly said goodbye when Josh called you to join him and all Ellie could do was wish she was him.
He gets to spend time with you. He gets to see you everyday, he gets to spend the rest of his life with you.
What does Ellie get? A few hours with you before you are called by your dear future husband. Hushed calls and quick texts.
No, Ellie didn't deserve this at all, but yet she stayed because she couldn't get enough of you.
As much as Ellie pretends to be in control of your relationship, you were the one that had the final say. Whatever you wanted, she would do.
It's kind of fucked up if you think about it.
The way you're playing the perfect daughter and the perfect wife while you would always come back to Ellie that same night. How you would take pictures with your fiancĂŠ, and soon after send Ellie pictures no one but your so called spouse should see.
It never bothered Ellie. Because she always knew that you belonged to her, and even if you were getting married nothing would change that.
She's mine
She wears a collar with my name
Secretive but not ashamed
She's mine
But I never tie her down
They always come around
Mine
Does he know that you call Ellie when he falls asleep? Does he know the type of pictures you send her? Does he fucking know how bad he is in bed?
Ellie wonders if Josh suspects anything. Hee probably wouldn't. He's so fucking stupid anyway.
He doesn't even know what your favorite color is. But Ellie does. Ellie knows everything about you.
The amount of times you've cried over your math homework. The amount of stuffed animals you had in your room.
Did Josh even know how much you loved Barbie when you were younger? Of course he doesn't.
Ellie let out a sigh when she saw your phone light up.
She gently reached over your sleeping figure, to grab your phone, trying not to wake you up.
When she turned the phone on, a picture of you kissing Josh appeared as your lockscreen. Ellie gagged at the photo, before she checked who sent you a message.
It was from the "love of your life", the message read 5 simple words: "when are you coming home?".
Ellie scoffed when she saw the text.
Is he really this fucking clingy?
Ellie replied "no! Sorry baby, I'm staying over at a friends house!"
Josh didn't even ask who. All he did was left you on seen.
Wow.
'Fucking nonchalant bitch' Ellie thought to herself.
She put your back onto the side of your bed as she lay down to face you. Ellie gently brought her hand up to remove the hair from your face.
Was this going to be it? Were you going to lie to your family your whole life?
Ellie didn't know the answers to these questions. And she knew even if she asked you, you would always reply with "I don't know Ellie" or "I don't want to think about it".
What happens if your affair gets exposed? Do you guys get to live a happily ever after?
In the past, before Josh was even in the picture, you and Ellie faced this same issue.
The two of you were madly in love but you could never be together. Everything you did was in secret.
Ellie liked to imagine that the reason why she never asked you out was because she could never stay committed to one person.
Back in college, Ellie remembered how'd she'd bring a different girl back to her dorm almost every night. But as soon as the sun rises she'd chase the girl out and she'd end up going to your dorm to cuddle.
She would always assure herself, that the reason she never told you back then was because she thought she would cheat on you. Like she did in all her previous relationships. But she knew that was a lie.
She'd been in love with you since the sixth grade, she was just in denial of her sexuality and she was terrified of your parents.
Ellie continued to stare at your sleeping face, as the light from the moon shown in.
If only she knew the situation the two of you would be in now, then she would've fought harder for you back then.
You should see their face when they finally realize
That she plays with the boys
But she comes onto me
Wanna change her mind but I get unwise
'Cause she might be your girl
But she's calling me daddy
You always knew you liked girls. Ever since you were a little girl. Your parents believed that only man and women could fall in love with eachother. You couldn't tell utter the word "gay" infront of them.
How were you supposed to live a lie? How were you supposed to pretend?
You fell in love with Ellie when you were 15.
The day the two of you lay on picnic blanket eating dry pieces of bread because Ellie forgot to bring toppings. You remembered you told her a stupid knock knock joke and Ellie laughed at it.
She always laughed at everything you said. Even when it wasn't funny. You looked at her that day, as tears fell from her eyes at the amount of laughing she did.
You realize you liked her a little more as a friend.
In a gay way.
When you were 17 Ellie kissed you.
And god you thought it was magical.
It felt like fireworks exploding. The world around the two of you blur as your lips passionately danced together. It felt like how all the romance novels described it.
You knew since that day, since that kiss, that what you and Ellie had was real.
The two of you started dating soon after.
Your biggest fear was that your parents would've found out. You'd be sent to boarding school, Ellie would be taken away from you and you'd be treated like shit for loving someone.
Unfortunately your worst fears soon became a reality.
Your mother had walked in while you and Ellie shared a quick kiss, and all hell broke loose.
Your mother ran in yelling, pulling you away from Ellie.
She blamed Ellie for making you this way. She used to say Ellie brainwashed you. But if only she knew. If only she believed you when you told her, this was love.
Your mother held you in her arms, as you reached out for Ellie. And soon after that, Ellie was kicked out and banned to come to your house or anywhere near you.
You were sent to boarding school and for the rest of your life your parents made you feel like shit, they made you feel worthless because of your sexuality till Josh came along.
The only reason you agreed to even consider getting married to him was so that your parents thought that you would be "healed".
After you were sent to boarding school you lost contact with the women you loved. All the men you've been with never compared to Ellie.
And even when the two of you reunited, you both knew your story wasn't over.
The love you shared was stronger than anything.
And as you stood infront of the mirror, wearing your wedding gown, all you could do was imagine that Ellie was the one waiting for you and not Josh.
In the mess
She's responsible
Change her mind
It's impossible
Close your mouth
You, catch a fire
Watch the girl get
What she likes
Ellie stood up as the wedding music started playing.
The crowd erupted in cheers as you walked down the isle.
Ellie looked toward your husband to be, the grin on his face made her sick. She wanted nothing more than to get a chair and to hit him in the face.
Ellie watched as your father left you with your husband. That should be her standing there. Not Josh. You should be the one walking to her, she should be the one you wore that dress for.
But yet you stayed true to your parents and you chose to walk down the isle to get married to someone you felt nothing for.
She watched as she fake smiled, she watched as you said I do and as you said your vows.
"You are mine for a lifetime" Josh spoke as he finished his vows. No you weren't. You weren't his.
She watched the lips that she has kissed so many times kiss another person. The pit Ellie felt in her stomach grew heavier, it felt like she could vomit at any moment.
The second you and your husbands lips touched the crowd cheered and screamed. Chants of your new surname filled the room as you locked hands and faced the crowd with your new husband.
A smile spread across your beautiful face, as the two of you started exiting the church.
You and Ellie locked eyes, as you made your way out of church. You gave her a small wink. A smile spread onto Ellies face.
That wink gave her hope.
Just because you got married doesn't mean you have to stop seeing eachother.
You've always been hers.
You don't need a ring to prove it. You don't need a wedding to prove your love for eachother.
Even though you were married Ellie had nothing to worry about, because she knew at the end of the day you'd be calling her daddy.
Authors note: a less depressing one for the first time in a while lmfao, but don't worry your regular scheduled angst will return in my next post;).... remember you are loved and to always be kind, my requests are also always open. I love you all!
Yours truly,
Zia <3

A tantrum in the baby cot
Franco Barbi x mum!reader
warning : outlast level of dark themes, dom/sub undertones, slight injury, kiss, comfort, pain kink, nickname : Ma'm, Mommy
Summary : A tantrum can always happen during turn-based data collections, but this adult baby's tantrums calmed down pretty quickly, just not this time. Before any more bloodbaths were caused, a solution had to be found and the only thing that would help was to put the baby in his cot and call his mum to look after her little boy.
info : So the third work for Franco the cute little one also this one was fun to write especially the oversized crib for him and I wish you all a lot of fun and see you next time :)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Kids aren't they cute? Children, some say, are the joy of life, the joy of a family, the joy of a mother and the son for a father. A child is something special, born out of love between mother and father, nine months later, with blood, screams and love, something alive was born for her, for the doctors and guards around her, and for him too.
Each of them was born this way but something didn't seem quite right with one of the good moments since his birth, growing up without a mother, not breastfed at her breast, not loved and not kissed.
The only thing the son had received in young adulthood was the seat of his next mother's high heels kicking him and pressing him to the floor as his hips rubbed against the ground as he , ,,Not worthy of my body" as she had told him, the spit mixed with the blood from his runny nose on the floor and he could be the happiest son he could imagine.
But was it a âwrongâ childhood that had led him to this area, this dock, or to her? He didn't know, she didn't know and it seemed only the manager could know but he hadn't met him, probably just another police pig like the son of a police whore type who always charged the air too much and made his nice suit seem uncomfortable.
He didn't want to fill the air with electronics, he wanted to pollute the air with blood, to see where the teeth dug into the walls and bodies, something he could do every day, going out of his room and doing his hunting, ,,Hanging like rags here bloodlessâŚwhere are the next ones? Hey, I'm talking to you fuckers!" the man's screams could be heard through the large facility as his bloodlust was probably not satisfied by five victims.
As he went round and round looking for new victims, new meat and, above all, new tops for his milk bottles, the management slowly realised that it was time to put the baby to sleep by forceâŚor so they would have done if one little thing hadn't gone wrong.
One little thing in which she had underestimated him and Franco only needed three shots, ,,New fuck toy nice" he rejoiced as the ammunition in the form of teeth and bones drilled through the uniforms and a kick against the door and a shot with the Lupara was one of the most dangerous experiments free, free in search of his mother.
A mother lashing out on the other side of the building not wanting to be abused again, ,,Oh! My baby boy is going to kill you" she said as she cried out her personal doctor some older man with a nurse who gave her the cocktail mix of hormones every fortnight, a cocktail pill injection mix of hormones she knew she would never get back to normal inside.
Just because she was the mother she loved, a woman for the baby, a hormone-reacting glass with tits or whatever they called her, nothing more to her doctor than a means to an end with which he could roughly handle ramming the needle straight into her skin and leaving the odd blow on her.
But for every injury, Franco was only more outraged as he seemed to sense what was happening to his mother and this time it was probably just too much, ,,You'll be pierced, cut up, drained and mutilated," she said as she saw the bright flashing light of the orange lamp on the wall she had already figured it had something to do with the experiments.
When she saw the uncertain look on the woman's face, she had nothing but laughter left, knowing that it would only be minutes before she was back in the game, back at his side and finally able to love someone again, ,,Mother! Mother!" the three of them heard the distant screams in the operating theatre as shots and footsteps were heard.
The nurse fled screaming and the doctor retreated with a warning look, they both knew that in the end the organisation could always kill them both, patience only lasted until they had him under control again but why not act a little.
The metal shackles came off automatically and she got back to her feet, the dark dress on her, blood running down her arm and the bruise from the blow visible on her cheek, she dragged herself out of the room in pain.
,,Oh-Oh my babyâŚF-Franco! Mummy's here!" she cried, dragging herself along her cheek, leaving a small trail of blood as she looked for him, knowing that he was somewhere nearby, that he could smell her, that the pills were specially mixed to make him smell her, that he could smell her blood, her excitement, her fear and her lust, everything of hers that was hisâŚif she wanted it.
It only took a few more minutes before she saw the bright dirty blood spattered suit, the shotgun and a worried look, ,,Ma'm!" he cried out as if everything he held dear had just been burnt in front of him he almost fell to his knees in front of her and clung to her, ,,You-you're all right!" the kidn gave his gun back in its holster and he looked at her, crying more and more with each injury and looking more and more vengeful.
But she put a hand on his cheek and he could feel the warm blood on it spread slightly, Franco cuddled her hand as if he hadn't seen her for years as if every touch was something he got something from whether it was love or excitement it didn't seem to matter it seemed the same.
,,I'm fine, my baby's here nowâŚbut you know, look around," she told him, her posture, which had been limp and pained before, straightening and completely absorbed in her role, her hands firmly on his shoulders, her gaze roaming the cameras, a look that told her kind-hearted observers that she had him under control.
He felt himself momentarily diminish as his fingers played with the buttons of his suit, almost casually stroking his midsection before he said more calmly, ,,It's messy but-but I was worried," he protested, turning to face her as she hugged him from behind, her arms wrapped around him, he felt her soft breasts against his back, her lips over his lips and he felt a shudder as he heard her voice against his ear.
A voice he would give anything for, something he wanted to follow, ,,Yes that may be but you're still a naughty boy, you know a nice boy doesn't throw a hissy fit when he can't find his mum do you?" she asked her finger running down his side along the leather of his belt and smirked as she felt his half-hardness Franco just nodded and his gaze drifted to the floor.
But she didn't allow this for long, lifting Lupara from his leather waffle belt she warned him with a hiss as she walked ahead and Franco followed her, his hands holding onto the fabric of her dress probably stroking her thigh again and again she knew that he wanted her, that he wanted to be a good boy and that he wanted her love but he would have to wait a little longer as the pair walked back to his base.
,,I've tidied up just for you and a drink,knew that something as pretty as you were just waiting for it" he said, chuckling almost effusively at his words as he closed the door behind her and the click was heard as his mother and lover made her way to the double-sized cot and lay down on it.
Watching her Franco with an amused grin, a young man a grown child hastily trying to grab the drinks and get back to her while she had long since tended to her wounds. ,,Here Mummy," he said happily, handing her a martini glass with dark wine in it, which she took from him with a smile, the gun still in her hand.
The wine was a little older, not that it spoilt the taste, on the contrary, it only seemed to taste better here in this shithole, her home away from home, as she closed her eyes in pleasure and tried to enjoy the alcohol.
A pleasure that remained for a few moments when Franco turned to her, the grown-up baby always had his well-deserved sleep in the cradle, but mostly alone with nothing but toys, milk and his own desires, but now she was there.
He downed the wine in one go and let his hands wander up her thighs, fingers stained with blood and dirt staining her skin, ,,Mhh I want little more of you?" he asked sighing as he ran his tongue over the cold blood on her arms, almost enjoying the puncture holes from which he would get a few more drops of her insides, her so warm soft insides.
Her eyes narrowed for a moment at first she wanted to tip the wine over him but what mother could say no to such sunshine, let him continue, she leaned back into the pillows feeling him wanting more and more, trying to get at her blood, his hands awkwardly reaching up her body.
To the point where she let him do it as she pressed Lupara to his chest, ,,Of course a greedy little impotent disgusting gnome gets moreâŚif you do well," she said, seeing how for a fraction anger at the insult surfaced as she let the end of the weapon wrap from his chest down to his centre and increased the pressure on it, he was already nothing more than a whimpering little thing nestling against her, kissing every part of her body.
The grunts and whimpers were like pleasant music to her next to the constant screams and insults as he lay half on her body his head on her chest sighing as he felt her heartbeat aware of her inside and out ,,May I Mommy?" he asked his voice innocent though she saw exactly what he was capable of and seeing him like this the mighty Franco Barbie begged pressing against her waiting for her to pull her dress back on.
Putting the gun aside yet still pointing it at him she gave him a gentle smile placing a hand on his cheek before ,,Of course such a protective good boy" she said proudly as he pulled back the fabric covering her breasts and she saw the glint of excitement, arousal and love in his eyes as he immediately latched onto one of her nipples to massage the other.
He chuckled as she let out a pleasurable moan, the gun pressing further against him with each passing moment saying if he did even one wrong thing he would push her off, the pain of her fingers caressing his skin the praise he needed, the pleasurably disparaging look she gave him making the blood rush to his loins, ,,Thank youâŚMa'm thank you," he murmured only letting go of her breast for a moment to acknowledge her gaze. She saw the faint glimmer of her own breast milk on his lips greedy as a little baby he never seemed to want to let go of her.
The look he was always under, under which both his sides were, she always had him on a leash even though he would bite her to death, she was his everything, she was the wife, the mother he had always missed and he was the son she never wanted and yet always needed.
She pressed him closer to her, stroking his back from time to time as the gun pressed harder and harder against his chest, knowing that if he wasn't tough enough in the coming moments, hours, who knows what days, she would shoot his heart out.
A thought that only excited him more and he slowly rubbed himself against her, ,,Oh someone's all excited then, we have all the time in the world don't we?" she asked threatening not to get an answer as she grabbed his nakcne and yanked him away from her.
Francos lust veiled gaze narrowed in pleasure as he felt the blow it was only the first one that night it wouldn't be the first time that moment he was petulant oh and it wouldn't be the last time they both stained the cot together with blood, bodily fluids and ammunition because at the end of the day every child needs love after a tantrum.
đĽ DAYLIGHT!
summary: when Y/N thought that love was black and white after the betrayal in her last relationship, but Chris in a Hockey match, makes her change her mind, seeing that love can be golden, if it's with the right person.
warnings: lil sad, but fluff!! mentions of betrayal, kisses & kisses!!
pairings: brunette!reader, fem!reader
masterlist!
THIRD PERSON POV
It had been exactly two months since Y/N had broken up with Jaden, after finding out that he had betrayed her.
The feeling of contempt that the girl felt for the blonde and the sadness she felt in her heart was huge.
She felt too insufficient, thinking that love was not for her, but it was beautiful, love was too beautiful. But all this time, Chris was there, advising her, helping her, Chris was always there for the girl, saying how amazing the girl was, and how enough she was.
Y/N felt safe in Chris' arms, just like Chris felt safe in Y/N's arms.
Now the girl was going to another of Chris' games, where she would meet Matt, Nick, Madi and Nate on the spot.
As soon as she arrives they all greet her, taking seats together in the stands, watching the brunette train. He looked perfect, with that helmet on his head covering a large part of his face, while wearing those sports clothes specifically for Hockey, where there was his name on his back and the number 3.
He wore ice skates and held a bat as he slid on the ice as if it were simpler than walking. He moved the stone throwing at the minigoal.
Soon he took off his helmet and was going to drink some water and rest before the match started, as soon as the brunette sees the girl, he gives a wide smile, going quickly to her giving her a hug.
Chris stuck his face around Y/N's neck exhaling his unique smell that he loved so much, causing slight chills in the girl's thoracic spine.
They moved away and turned to the other 4 people who were with them.
ââ Bitches, go to get a room! ââ Nick said with a disgusted tone, when the others agreed.
ââ Couple, we don't want to hold a candle at the moment! ââ Matt says making Chris and Y/N bleed at the same time.
Chris cleared his throat and started talking. ââ I need to go play, guys, wish me good luck! ââ The brunette said leaving the stands going to the ice field, but before, he turns around and kisses Y/N's forehead, now going to the ice field.
The game had started a few minutes ago and was 0 to 0.
Until Chris made the first point of the match, making all the fans of Chris' team shudder with happiness, after the brunette scored a beautiful goal.
He came to her direction in the rush, calling her quickly to the place he was.
She was a little shy, and when she got there Chris asked for the microphone and started saying.
ââ Y/N, I know how much you have suffered all these times because of the betrayal, which may still be recent, but I need to tell you, now, that I am completely in love with you, since I met you in the 3rd grade, where you forced me to play with your barbies even though you knew that I hated, and really hated it, but I loved the fact of being with you, being making you happy, girl, girl, you are everything I always wanted from the first moment I saw you, this can be tacky as fuck, but I am crazy about you, and unfortunately I never accepted it, after all, you know my extreme fear about relationships, but when I think of you, all this fear disappears, but the difficulty I had to accept that I love you, made it too late, and unfortunately you started dating a son of a son of a bitch who had the audacity to betray someone as beautiful, sweet and kind like you, he was stupid, very stupid, and I know the fear you have of being betrayed again, but I want you to try this for me, I want you to be my girl, do you accept? ââ The sweet words that Chris said to the brunette, made her start crying with happiness and emotion, realizing that it was never Jaden, or anyone else, but that it was always Chris, it was always him, in everything, he was always there, and he always loved her, just as she loved and loved him.
Everyone who watched the game was filled with love with Chris' words for Y/N, everyone, including Y/N realized how innocent and naive Chris' love was, and how intense it was.
The girl just couldn't say anything anymore, she just hugged the boy waving that she agreed to be his girl.
Chris hugged the girl back, everyone applauded the beautiful moment, where he recorded the deep and beautiful love of Chris and Y/N.
They gave a kiss that conveyed love, a lot of love, a love so true, as if the two were soul mates, and no one doubted that the two were such.
Chris gave the girl one last kiss returning to the game, while Y/N sat down again with her friends, who played with her, and wished congratulations to the girl for her new relationship.
The game ended with 5-1, with Chris guaranteeing the last point of the victory.
The brunette returned to his beloved and kissed her again, he was addicted to the taste of his beautiful lips.
ââ You are mine, and I promise to show you that love is beautiful, and that you deserve to feel it, my princess. ââ The boy said with a smile on his lips hugging her tightly.
ââ I love you so much, this was amazing, everything was amazing, you are amazing, I am so lucky to have you in my life! ââ The girl says with a cute smile, and soon left a soft kiss on the brunette's lips.
Eternalizing their love, and showing that love is not black and white, but golden.
That sounded too cute omfg đđđđ
to make things brief cause I suck at organizing what I have to say, the live action was definitely Somethingâ˘.
Cast: 10/10 kinda biased personally but yall can't take this from me
Gordon as Aang and Dallas as Zuko were the standouts imo. Gordon needs some direction on line delivery and the angstier scenes but overall he's very charming and I'm so proud of him for getting so much exposure!
Ian as Sokka was great, I just wish he was allowed to be more...messy? like Sokka pretends to be chill and all that but he's actually dramatic so I hope that gets improved in the next season if there is one
speaking of improvement, Kiawentiio as Katara brought out a softer side to the character but sadly diminished her spark and passion. I like that Katara now actually feels like a younger sister, it makes sense within the context of the story that Sokka and Gran Gran would shelter her after what happened, but as someone said, her anger is so central to her character and I just wish that got shown more. It's more of a script and direction problem tbh, if you look at Kia's interviews she has the sass and feistiness Katara needs
Lizzy as Azula is great, the writing is a bit clunky though so she did the best she could with it. Can't really comment on Mai and Ty Lee yet because they're kinda just there but it's a nice setup
Maria as Suki? perfection show stopping never the same she is a queen and I love the tidbit of Suki backstory which she never really had in the og show. I love her being such a loser around her crush we love to see girlfailures girlfailing. I wish the writers didn't make them KISS though đ slowburn ftw
the adults were great
Writing: 6.5/10
There were genuinely good moments and I love the concept of mixing up certain plot points to condense the story
But they just suffered from too much Telling instead of Showing WRITERS PLEASE LISTEN TO THE CRITICISM YOU HAVE TIME TO IMPROVE PLEASE
Omashu, mechanist, and Jet plot mixing as a concept was fine, but it dragged on and my friends and I got bored of it. I like it in theory but if it was going to take THAT long couldn't they have just separated one of those storylines for a different episode?
I appreciate that they tried to develop the water siblings' relationship by making them the stars of the Secret Tunnels, but I would've changed the way they "conquered" the problem (really? badgermoles respond to love? cute in theory but like why). If anyone's watched Barbie: A Fairy Secret there's a part where Barbie and her frenemy accuse each other of why their friendship failed, and it helps them make up and breaks the curse put on them. So that's what I would've done, force them in a life or death situation in which they have to say the unsaid things, maybe hug it out and boom
The way they handled Koh and the Spirit World was a Mess⢠but the effects were decent
Zhao meeting horrible ends in every incarnation is so deserved
Yue having more agency was a welcome change AND I LOVE THAT SHE WATERBENDS. Then waterbends even when the moon is gone. It's such a nice visual nod to the fact that she has the moon spirit within her
That said, the show could definitely use more visual storytelling, less weird dialogue. Like it's so strangely common for shows or adaptations these days to exposition dump. Like they did not have to make Yue say that the ocean spirit was angry, literally just show me the dead moon fish and I'll get the idea. Then Iroh says "That's Wrath" that's just redundant now isn't it
I like that they saved Katara bringing Aang out of the Avatar State until last even if it could've been done better
HOW DARE THEY MAKE ME LIKE HAHN HE WAS A JERK IN THE SHOW BUT THEY MADE HIM A GENUINELY GOOD CHARACTER. Yes to brown men not being portrayed as jerks but also in the original it was a nice contrast to how far Sokka had come because Hahn reflected who he used to be. But live action Hahn </3
I like that they showed the deaths and blood. I wanted a live action that was both lighthearted but more realistic when it came to the injuries and death, and that'd kind of what I got
Other thoughts + overall
You can tell they put so much heart into this show, watching the bts, the bending boot camp with the correct martial arts, the easter eggs, the nods to the comics, the beautiful adaptations of Cabbage Merchant and Secret Tunnel nomads, there's so much passion behind the show it's a shame it suffered in its writing
which is why if they read reviews and criticism from the bigger name fans (TheAvatarist, HelloFutureMe, etc.) it would really help them improve for future seasons! The cast is stunning already and they have great chemistry (hopefully gets improved too!)
The live action is just a different angle to the show. And I'm saying this as an Avatar fanâthe original wasn't perfect, either. I had some problems w it but the overall show was genuinely so good and heartfelt, those problems weren't glaring enough to put me off (unlike The Dragon Prince, sorry). The live action definitely wasn't perfect, but it tried to give us a new look into Avatar. Again, no adaptation will ever be a 1:1 remake and none should be. Where's the fun in that? But while the show is so full of heart and with actual fans working behind the scenes, I doubt if they listen to any criticism that they can't pull this off better next season.
dilf Dave Mustaine who is jealous of the reader because she goes out with a guy her age, and dave has slow, possessive sex
YASSSS WE LOVE DILF DAVE
So basically Dave is readers bc and reader goes out with her male best friend whoâs her age.
Iâm so sorry if this is short Iâm in a bus rn I have to be quick
Warnings: unprotected p in v, bit of a overstimulation, fluff and angst if you squint your eyes, age gap
____________________________________________
Today I went out with my best friend Ethan. When I told Dave about this he wasnât very happy but he let it slide. I came home, tired and pretty happy either way how the day went. I opened the door and my eyes met with Daveâs ones. He looked at me with his arms crossed.
âHello to you tooâ I said. Putting my coat on the coat rack.
âHow was hanging out with that douche bagâ he asked, a bitchy tone in his voice.
âHeâs not a douche, and it was funâ I said walking past him. He harshly grabbed my arm and yanked me towards him. He looked⌠I couldnât figure out what he was feeling at the moment.
âPrefer other guys over me? Is it because of my age? Am I too old? Am I not hot enough?â He asked in a somewhat disappointed tone.
âNo! Dave⌠youâre perfect. He doesnât mean anything⌠weâre just friends. I donât like him in that wayâŚâ I said trying to reassure him.
âYeah⌠you sound faker than Barbie.. Iâm gonna show you who you belong to.. Iâm gonna show you who fucks you the best.â And with that he dragged me after him in the bedroom and threw me on the bed. He was quick to strip down until he was naked. He started to stroke his semi hard cock in front of me. That was enough to turn me on.
âStrip. Nowâ he demanded. I obeyed and took all of my clothes off, my body full on display for him. He grabbed my legs and put them over his shoulders. He filled me completely with one thrust, making me cry out. His moves were slow⌠and it was making me crazy.
âDave⌠please⌠please go fasterâ I whined hoping he would pick up the pace but he just chuckled and continued to move painfully slow.
âThatâs what you get for hanging out with that Jack⌠Jason⌠Alex⌠whatever the fuck his name wasâ he responded.
âBut it meant nothing⌠please DaveâŚâ I whined again.
âBegâ he said. âBeg for my cock.â
And with that I begged one more time, squeezing my walls around his cock. His hips twitched and his pace fastened. He went faster and faster until his pace was so fast I didnât think I could last him for long. He continued with his inhuman pace until a small coil formed in my stomach. I looked down at my belly and saw the small bulge appearing and disappearing over and over again. My coil soon snapped and I came all over his cock. He didnât stop though. He went faster.
âOhhh⌠Dave stop.. please..â I begged for him to stop. But I realised something. He didnât cum yet.
âJust a little more⌠oh good girlâŚâ my hands moved to his belly trying to push him off, but it didnât help. He went even faster and spurt his semen into me. He collapsed on top of me and cuddled me, kissing my tears away.
âIâm sorry baby⌠I get really jealous because I think Iâm not enough⌠I just wanna make you feel loved and happy..â Dave said, panting
âItâs okay⌠but I would never leave you. Because I love you.â I replied.
âBut Iâm not done with you yetâ
