hi!!!! i have!!! i actually had quite a few thoughts on miguel's character and his role as an antagnoist and miles overall character progression through the movies but i unfortunately did not tag them 😭
#in the end i think tldr miguel is over antagonized and so is jessica drew#and miles is my son#i loved loved loved how he found his footing as spiderman in this movie#as more than just a role he plays but as an integral aspect of his identity#he IS spiderman!!!! nobody can take that away from him regardless of whether or not it was a mistake or not#and as you may or may not know i always enjoy narratives about fate/destiny packaged into meta commentary about storylines#it was overall a very enjoyable movie i rewatched it in theatres like 5 times 😭😭#mossmurdock

hi! could u write some headcanons bout ml boys’ fav movies/genres and their dislikes? tysm ❤️
Boys' and girls' favourite film genres:
Hi !
I hope you are well !
Here is the headcanon you requested, I hope you like it.
Have a good day and take care of yourself! ^^
Vladimir :
Vladimir doesn't watch much television in general. You could even say that he hardly ever watches it. It's also very difficult to take him to the cinema, he is startled by cars and trucks. As a result the only time he set foot in a cinema was for the release of Titanic and he hasn't been back since.
However, the boys have already convinced him to watch films and series with them. And he loves period dramas, like Pride and Prejudice for example. He doesn't know whether he prefers the 1995 series or the 2005 film. The series is more historically accurate but... he finds the 2005 Darcy much more... sexy. Well, he totally denies it, because he is not completely crazy about Darcy. He swears to anyone who will listen. He also often watches Operas with Raphael on TV, he likes musicals much less.
He passionately hates the action and war films that Aaron loves and he doesn't understand how anyone can like it at all. It's loud and violent, the story is not coherent. In short, he doesn't see the point.
Béliath :
Beliath likes films and series in general (it helps him to flirt more easily at the Moondance). He also goes to the cinema quite often, either to accompany Raphaël, or to see a film with Ethan (he doesn't particularly like the films Ethan loves, but if accompanying him is enough to please the youngest, he won't be denied).
At the manor, he is a big fan of romantic films and watches them with Raphael most of the time. He has seen Titanic, Twilight, but also The Fault in Our Stars several times. He also watches a lot of Christmas soaps with Raphaël. You can often hear them talking about the last movie they saw together in the living room.
He doesn't like action films that are too brutal. He finds them easily boring and he thinks they are inherently lacking in class. Seriously, since when can a man covered in mud and sweat be considered sexy! He wouldn't even let that kind of man touch him, he'd send him to the shower first.
Ivan :
Along with Ethan, Ivan is one of the most TV-watching boys in the manor. He wishes he could go back to the movies more often, but the other boys stubbornly refuse to let him do so for fear that he might attack someone there. So for now, he just watches the films on his computer.
He has a great preference for cartoons, be it Disney or Japanese animation. Unfortunately, he is the only one in the manor. His favourite Disney movies are without question Hercules and The Lion King. For Japanese animation, he has a big preference for Wolf Children, but especially for Your Name, he has seen this film more than ten times, but he will always continue to watch it if he gets the chance.
He also watches a lot of superhero movies like Marvel and DC. But he much prefers the Marvel ones. His preference is for Spiderman.
Aaron :
He rarely watches television, like Vladimir. But that's because he finds it very difficult to sit still for more than an hour. That's a good definition of hell for him, so the only reason he goes to the movies with his roommates is to please them.
His favourite films are action films and horror films, gore films don't bother him, he loves SAW for example. As far as horror movies are concerned, he really enjoyed the first two Conjuring movies, much less the last one which he found boring. He also watches a lot of war re-enactment films.
Also, he discovered Games of Thrones not long ago and he loves it!
He doesn't really like most comedies, but that's mainly because he has trouble understanding why this or that situation or joke would be funny and is constantly having it explained to him by Beliath or Ethan.
Raphaël :
Raphael does not watch much television, although he does enjoy it. For example, he goes to the cinema quite regularly to see old films with Beliath or Aaron.
He loves all romance films and especially romance films set at Christmas. He finds them so beautiful and romantic. He loves to see people falling in love. He could easily stay up all night watching them when it starts snowing outside. This makes Ethan despair as he is the one who enjoys them the least. He also watches a lot of ballet and opera since Beliath showed him that you can have it on TV he wants to watch it as often as possible. He finds it really convenient to be able to watch them from his sofa without having to go out on the town to do so.
He really doesn't like horror films. He's a little reluctant to admit it to his roommates. But horror films usually keep him awake at day. He can't help it, he starts to be suspicious of all the noises he hears.
Ethan :
Since he and Ivan are the ones who watch the most television, there are many kinds of films and series that he enjoys. His only exceptions are the cheesy romances that bore him quickly, war films and gore films. He sees a lot of blood when he treats others, he doesn't want to see more on TV.
His preference is for crime films and series and science fiction films. He prefers detective films and series where he can try to find the culprit during the course of the film, rather than those that immediately show who the murderer is, so he doesn't really like series like Columbo and Criminal Minds for example.
As far as science fiction films are concerned, he has seen all the Star Trek series, as well as all the Star Wars films and series. He has a strong preference for the latter, although he won't mind watching another episode of Star Trek: The Next Generation if you ask him.
DC movies, even if he is often disappointed because he prefers comic books.
Neil :
He doesn't watch television... or so he says. He almost automatically falls asleep in front of a television anyway, even at the cinema. It's quite amusing to see him resist sleep, to have several nose dives, and then to fall asleep suddenly. Even though he has a lot of trouble watching a film in its entirety because of this.
He has a clear preference for all films with power plays, whether it's to get the throne and become king, or simply to become president, or director of a big company. (Although he often thinks he would do much better than any of the characters). So he likes Games of Thrones quite a bit.
He doesn't particularly dislike any one kind of film, but there are some films he doesn't like which can be summed up as: Any film that has a mad scientist doing atrocious experiments on other people. He won't watch it, he won't even go near the television. Seriously, he doesn't want anything to do with that kind of film, even for all the money in the world.
Farah :
She doesn't often get to go to the cinema with the pack of wolves and anyway, it's quite rare that everyone agrees on the same film to go and see. Mostly she goes to see family action films or comedies.
On television, she especially likes animal documentaries. Especially those about the sea and the ocean. She is a bit afraid of the deep sea but she is always amazed to see what goes on underwater.
She doesn't like historical re-enactment films both because she knows very well that "it didn't happen like that at all" but also because she finds them frighteningly boring.
Léandra :
She rarely goes to the cinema. It's not the most convenient place to chat up. You have to stay quiet for more than an hour to watch a bunch of clowns acting like idiots. So, no, it's not her thing. After that, she quite likes to take the prey she has spotted in nightclubs at cinema to have a little more fun with them.
Despite this, Leandra loves horror films. More because she often finds them completely stupid than because she is afraid of them (they are also very convenient to get people to bond with her). She has a strong preference for those that include demons in their scenarios after all succubi are demons, and she loves to see how humans portray them.
Léandra doesn't really like mushy romances, she leaves that to her little brother. She often finds the characters at best uninteresting and at worst stupid.

Being Thor and Loki's Little Sister and Dating Peter Parker Would Include...
Notes: wow I haven't written a marvel one in a long time pls don't read too much into the timeline lol I know things overlap but just go with it (:
Warnings: none... I think ??
Word Count: 3.6k (sorry its a bit long for a write like this but I couldn't help myself)
You managed to do a decent job at keeping your relationship under wraps from your brothers for quite some time
Of course every other member on the team knew before the two of you even begun officially dating
Peter had spent three months ranting and raving to Tony Stark about how cute he thought you were and how much he liked you
Tony insisted time and time again he should tell you but Peter’s fear of rejection was much too large for him to find the courage for that
Unbeknownst to him,
You had spilled about your crush on Peter to Wanda and Nat almost a week after living in the compound
Being the only other girls there besides Pepper, it was easy to confide in them
Day after day you would wander to Wanda’s room and lay on her bed and gush about how handsome Peter was and how kind of a heart he had
Wanda found it adorable
And Bucky, Steve and Sam had placed the pieces together after days on end of watching Peter and yourself flirt like school kids in the gym during training
Even after being frozen for years, Steve recognized the look of smitten on Peter’s face when he talked to you
Bruce on the other hand had to sit through most of the kids talks with Tony in the lab so he figured it out fast
So when the two of you finally confessed your feelings for one another and Peter asked you out, there was only one road block holding the moment back from perfection
Your brothers
You and Peter shared the news with all the other team members expect the two, possibly most important in your case, members
You’ve been close to your brothers since you were brought into this world so it wasn’t like you didn’t want to tell them
It was more or less how overprotective they could be that made you bite your tongue
And as nervous as you are, Peter is 1,000% more worried about your brother’s finding out
Like honestly can you imagine how petrified Peter would be to tell Thor and Loki you two were dating
He’d purposely walk in the opposite direction every time he saw either of the two for the first week
Couldn’t stop fumbling with his words when he spoke to either of them
Like he was terrified
It’s sort of a cliché to have protective older brothers but older brothers who were also both Gods ????
Peter felt like a deadman walking
When the day finally came that you did tell your brothers about your relationship with Peter, it was absolutely cringe worthy
Peter had been coming home to the tower after a long day at Midtown High School when he spotted you the second he stepped foot out of the elevator
His excitement had clouded his judgement as he failed to check and see if the coast was clear
“Y/n! Hey!”
He nearly tumbled over his own feet as he rushed over to you
His face was gleaming with happiness and for a brief moment you felt a smile creep to your face until you were pulled back to reality by his hand reaching out to grasp yours
Your eyes widened in shock as you stared at Peter and before you could warn him to stop, he had planted a soft kiss on your cheek
That adorable smile was glowing from his face as he reached down for your hand only to fall once you pulled your hand away
He gave you a look of confusion, clearly surprised by your lack of response
But when an awkward cough sounded from behind him, he suddenly knew why
Peter didn’t have enough time to make any sort of a move when a husky, all too familiar voice spoke up,
“Hello, man of spiders. May I ask why you just kissed our little sister?” “Oh shit- I uh, well you see I…um...she had something on her face so I uh…”
Loki would snicker in amusement at seeing the boy squirm and prolong his torture “So you kissed her?” “Yeah…” “Hm, there something you’d like to share, little one?”
It wasn’t exactly the way you were hoping to break the news to your brothers
But it was certainly one way of doing it
The rest of the night was filled with awkward tension as you and Peter had to confess the truth to your brothers, who then made you share the news with the rest of the team
Thankfully, the rest of the team pretended they were just hearing about your new relationship for the first time, seeing as no one wanted to deal with an angry Thor
Now let’s get into your relationship with Peter
Peter Parker is the most caring person in the universe
Honestly
And dating him certainly came with it’s perks
You can expect to wake up every morning with a fresh coffee and a pastry on your nightstand, courtesy of Peter
He’ll also write you a sweet little ‘good morning’ note with a sketch of spider-man hanging from a web
(( he’s actually pretty talented in the doodling department ))
Makes cute sketches of him as spiderman and you as a princess ( vv fitting)
But also draws you as a total badass saving the galaxy bc… well you are
Count on him to be the first person to greet you when the sunrises and the last person to wish you a goodnight when it falls
Gets Mr. Stark to buy you an iphone so he can teach you how to use it
Has your name as “goddess” in his phone
The first thing he does is teach you about texting so he can pay you in imessage games
Refuses to play you in battleship since you somehow have crushed him every single time
Gets slightly annoyed with the overwhelming amount of random photos you snap of him
But he knows its all new to you and finds it irritatingly adorable
Loves it when you walk home with him from school
Will also keep reminding you that you shouldn’t have walked alone all the way to Midtown High School alone
Peter often forgets that you’re Asgardian and can protect yourself just fine
But it’s so cute how protective he is
He’s very observant and notices nearly everything
Like when you’re feeling a bit homesick
He picks up on it right away and will ask Thor and/or Loki for advice
Or when you start to become bored and tired at one of Star’s parties
Peter made his way over you before you even had the chance to turn and search for him
He’d escort you back to your room and lay with you until he was positive you had fallen asleep
Kisses to the top of your head
Is the boyfriend that will take your makeup off for you if you wear any
(( and sets yours lashes on the nightstand so neatly and labels which eye they were on cause the poor boy doesn’t understand ))
Spends weeks learning how to master the intricate braids that adorn your head
It’s so cute cause he’ll sit and look up Youtube videos and try to learn how to make the different braids and is just so confused but so determined
Taking Peter to visit Asgard
“Woah- this place looks like something from Lord of the Rings! It’s awesome!” “Lord of the Rings? I’ve never met that God.” “Uh, no, it’s a movie from Earth. We can watch it when we go back.” “To Midgard?” “Midgard? No, to New York.”
Loves it when your people refer to you as “Princess Y/n”
For some reason it makes him blush
Will tell everyone back on Earth that he’s dating a princess
I could def see Peter getting annoyed and frustrated with the Asgardian men trying to flirt and win your heart
Although that’s something that already belong to Peter
And even though Peter trusts you entirely
He’s still insecure from time to time
Especially when he sees how much taller and stronger Asgardian men look in comparison to him
But he finds reassurance in the feeling of your hand in his and the gleeful smile adorning your face as you show him around your homeland
Attempting to help Peter study
Although you’re not much help to Midgardian school work “Peter, darling, I don’t have a clue what a watergate is and I haven’t an idea how that could be scandalous.”
Maths however you excelled in
And Peter was thoroughly surprised to find you had the sequence of PI memorized to the one hundredth number- and in song form
Holding your hand 24/7
Endless cuddles on the couch
And when you’re walking around together, he does that thing where he swings your hands and back forth
Movie theater dates… at the tower b/c your brothers feel the need to be in close proximity the you guys at all times
Trying ice cream for the first time with Peter at two in the morning
One of Peter’s favorite things to do with you is take you through a walk in his world
At least three times a week Peter and you will walk around the city and find new things your Asgardian self has yet to experience
Like pizza
New York pizza to be exact
And hot chocolate
Ice skating at Rockefeller Center once the weather got cold
Loves to take you for drives in the more woodsy land of New York once fall set in and the leaves began to change
But by far his favorite thing is showing you Midgardian films and movies of all sorts
He loves that you don’t judge him for nerding out over his love for films
Not to mention you actually sit and watch Star Wars with him
(( maybe it was the whole space element but Peter was just thrilled you liked it ))
But then he shows you ‘Alien’
And it was an instant regret
It took him the rest of the night to convince you that the movie was fake
You made him sleep in your room just for reassurance
Your favorite out of the films Peter played was called ‘Toy Story’
Buzz Lightyear reminded you of Thor
In terms of TV shows
F.R.I.E.N.D.S. which quickly became your guys comfort show
Parks & Rec too “That Andy fellow looks an awful lot like Starlord, don’t you think?”
Peter refuses to let you watch Black Mirror
After the whole incident with Alien
Black Mirror didn’t seem like a good idea
Constantly teasing from the rest of the Avengers
Tony just can’t help it
He loves tormenting the two of you
Especially when Thor and/or Loki are around
“Hey Peter, I thought I saw you go into Y/n’s room last night but I didn’t see you leave until the morning. Heard a lot of noise too- thought Y/n was getting attacked. What was that about?”
Or
“Kid, I got you those condoms you asked for. How’d you manage to run out of that last box so quick? I just bought it for you a week ago!” “Messing with you, they’re just sugar packets- Thor put Peter down right now!”
Aunt May absolutely adores you
Always tells Peter how sweet you are and is constantly inviting you over for dinner
Lets you two have sleepovers in his room at her place
As long as the door stays open
Peter can’t stop laughing when you compliment May on her ability to make an amazing bowl of cereal
She thought it was a joke seeing as she burned dinner the night before to a crisp and laughs until she’s in tears
And you’re literally sitting there so confused, clearly not understanding the joke
Peter then takes you on a trip to a grocery store for the first time to show you a whole aisle full of cereal
It is then that you realize Aunt May didn’t hand make the fruity pebbles
She still laughs about it to this day
Befriending Ned and listening enthusiastically while he gives you a full speech on the franchise Star Wars
And his rant on how terrible Star Trek is in comparison
Is shocked when you ask questions out of genuine interest
Ned immediately takes a liking to you after that and asks Peter daily to invite you to hangout
Whenever Stark adds an upgrade to his suit, you’re the first person Peter shows it to
He shares quite literally everything with you
As do you to him
The rest of the Avengers love gossiping about you guys
Nat and Wanda have already started planning the wedding and Pepper has the perfect venue in mind, much to your brothers dismay
For some reason
Thor and Loki are always within reasonable distance, enough so they can keep an eye on you but also give some sense of privancy
Thor is def always the first one to step in
“Peter, please remove your hand from my sister’s behind.” “Oh uh, ye-yeah… sorry, Mr.Thor.”
Loki would find Peter amusing
He loves to mess with him whenever given the chance
“Ah, Peter. Good to see you. I’m sure Y/n informed you of our task today. Very impressed that you offered yourself as the sacrifice to the aliens-” “Wait, what? Y/n?!” “He’s kidding, Peter.”
Everyone in the Avenger’s tower knew Peter was lactose intolerant and knew the repercussions of the boy consuming any sort of dairy
(( he physically cannot leave the bathroom for a full day ))
Yet Loki regularly will swap Peter’s specially labeled almond milk with a jug of skim milk just for the hell of it
There’s something so hilarious to him about the look of panic and alarm that smacks abruptly across Peter’s face as he quickly stumbles out of the kitchen to his room
It keeps him laughing for days
You’ll just shoot your brother a look of disapproval, clearly certain it was his doing
“Loki, why did Peter run off?” “Not sure, darling sister, maybe he’s got one of those stomach bugs. I’ve heard Midgardians are prone to them…weak bodies and such.” "You switched out his milk again didn’t you.” “I haven’t the slightest clue what you’re accusing me of, little one.”
Thor is a bit more hesitant on accepting your relationship with his fellow Avenger
He trusts that Peter would never harm you
Although he did not trust that you would never be harmed because of Peter
It was risky enough that both your brothers were big names in space, as well on Earth, however
Thor knew Loki and himself were capable of protecting you but Peter?
He was just a kid, in Thor’s eyes
However the one thing that kept him from telling you this was seeing how happy Peter made you
As your older brother, Thor trusted your judgement and tried his best to be accepting of his little sister dating
And as much as he wanted to deny it, he saw crystal clear the care and love Peter gave to you and he wasn’t willing to break that for you
Still
Thor is the type of brother to barge into a room and shove himself between Peter and yourself without warning
This man does not care at all
At least Loki has the decency to give you two space as a couple
Thor does not
He is constantly third wheeling on your dates and will ‘accidentally’ walk into rooms he knows you two are in claiming he forgot something
Not that he ever grabs anything,
He’ll usually just stand and stare at the two of you until you either leave the room or ask him to leave
To which he always answers,
“No.”
But with a smile
A smug smile
PDA is something he will never be okay with
Thor will yank Peter back by the collar every time he sees his lips on yours and glare at him, “Man of spiders, I know you’re in love with my little sister but kissing her infront of me is too far.”
And Loki will physically gag just to piss you off
For the most part, your relationship with Peter is nearly perfect
It would be entirely perfect if you weren’t constantly worrying about him dying on a mission or getting hurt
But still, just like any couple, you had your moments
And when you did fight, it was typically over Peter’s safety or him not wanting you to tag along for a mission
Your common way of dealing with conflict was the silent treatment
Which is pure torture for Peter
Not only does he miss the sound of your voice
He misses having you around
Seeing your smile
Hearing you laugh from something he said
He felt terrible everytime
He’d go to Tony for advice and spend hours rambling on to him about how sorry he was for yelling at you and for adding to the fight
Tony would half listen while he worked away on a new system and suit, offering a ‘yeah’ and ‘hmm’ every few seconds which pleased Peter who thought his mentor was fully listening
And after almost two hours of his non-stop talking, Tony Stark had reached his limit
Setting his wrench down on the metal table with a thud he turned around to face the young boy
“Kid, why’re you saying all this to me and not her? I mean, I’m all ears but I’m also not Y/n. I know we’re both good looking so I can see why you mixed us up, but you should be talking to her right now.”
Similar to Peter you also had someone to confide in when the road got rocky
Loki had always been the one you shared all your secrets with
As children you were attached at the hip to both your brothers but Loki a smidgen more than Thor
Your father, Odin, had Thor at his side 24/7 growing up
While he was busy learning the ropes to ruling Asgard, Loki and yourself run amuck causing trouble left and right through the royal palace
Through the years of bonding Loki become your best friend, and you his
So when trouble struck in paradise, your older brother was the one you ran to
He’d welcome you with open arms and a questioning gaze
Loki is by far the best listener in your family
Instead of telling you what to do, he asks what you want, which is a refreshing change
After a long talk with Loki you’d search the tower high and low for Peter while ironically Peter was doing the same thing
When you did finally make-up, it felt like coming home
The apologies were so sincere and genuine
You’d end up having a sleepover in your room watching 80’s films that Peter claimed were ‘iconic’ and laying in his arms
And that’s where you felt complete
Fights never occurred often but bickering ???
DAILY
You two bickered playfully over everything under the sun
Like who’s the better superhero; Ironman or Captain American
Or
Debates between living in New York and living in Asgard
Loves to pull up Midgardian inventions and ask you to guess what it is “Princess, what do you think this is?” “Oh! Oh! I’ve seen this one! Tony has one in his kitchen!” “Okay, so what is it?” “Yes, it’s a chicken nugget maker!” “It’s actually an air fryer but we only ever make chicken nuggets in them so I’ll give you a half point.”
Peter sneaking out of your room at the crack of dawn and sprinting to his
As much as Thor and Loki liked him and supported the relationship
He was sure they’d both team up to murder him if they caught him sleeping in your bed
Steve and Tony, who seem to be incapable of sleep, have watched him tiptoe out of your room numerous times but they only share a look of amusement then go back to their previous discussion
Playing hide-n-go-seek and tag on rainy days at the tower
Cuddling in Peter’s bed while he asks you to tell him stories about Asgard
Loves hearing about your childhood and what it’s like to grow up with siblings
Is fascinated when you tell him about Heimdall
Stealing Peter’s hoodies
Especially his Midtown High School ones
They’re insanely soft
Sweet little kisses throughout the day
He's just so sweet and gentle
Loves getting to hold you and snuggle in his bed
Most weekends you spend lounging on the couch with Peter’s head in your lap while you play with his hair
Other times you’re sitting next to Peter on his bed watching him play some video game and asking a million questions “Who is that man, Peter?” “That’s me, he’s the main character of the game. That’s Mario, babe.” “You’re not Mario- you’re Peter.” “No, the main character of this game is Mario, I’m just playing him.” “Oh… and what is that green dinosaur creature?” “That’s Yoshi!” “Adorable.”
Making out between games
In terms of... y'know... sex
Neither of you were keen on rushing the process
You had tip toed on the line multiple times yet never fully crossed it
Until you had decided to make the first real move after being together for about five months
You trusted him with all your heart so it wasn't exactly scary, but rather exciting
He had a way of making you feel safe, comfortable, and loved all at once
Lets be honest, Peter nearly fainted the first time he saw you naked
And still, no matter how many times the two of you have sex,
He worships every inch of you like it was your first time all over again
You couldn't have asked for a better lover
Dating Peter means a new adventure everyday
You’re constantly learning new things about each other and from each other
Despite coming from two very different worlds
You’ve never felt more connected to a soul until Peter came along

Graduation Beach Party | Peter Parker x Male!Reader
Request: So in this plot the Midtown Seniors Graduates (a.k.a Peter, Male!Reader, Ned, MJ, Betty, Flash, Teachers maybe, etc.) are having a Graduation Beach party to Huwaii organized by the Midtown school. It's kinda like the movie Spiderman: Far From Home, but different. I think I saw a post about Peter being insecure about his weird rip body but reader find it hot. So basically Peter is to scared/shy to show off his body with his shorts swim suit when he's going to swim with people around, even more scared/shy when his crush reader is going to see him like this. I mean, everyone will be shocked to see Peter that has a rip body even reader but found it attractive. @coledrawsstuff
Words: 3301
A/N: I wasn’t sure how graduation parties went, so this is my take on it 😉
Peter dreaded this day would come. In more than one way. He wished he'd protested to the idea of going to Hawaii. Hawaii wasn't bad. Not in the slightest. But the plans that were going around scared him in the simplest ways. And the moment he feared most was just around the corner. Laying flat out on his bed, eyes plastered to the ceiling, thoughts far beyond the room. Within a few hours, the final party would be taking place right outside the hotel. From his room, he could hear staff preparing. Bringing out the barbeque, drinks, and all that was needed.
"Dude." Ned said while pulling Peter's fingers from his lips. "Don't bite your fingernails."
"Sorry… I' m-..." Shaking his head, followed by a long sigh, Peter raised himself onto the edge of the bed. Catching the last few rays of sunshine over the balcony as the sun began to set on the horizon. "I don't know. I'm not much of a party guy. Maybe I-"
"No, Peter!" Ned said, cutting him off mid-sentence. "Don't you think about it! This is the greatest day of our lives. I mean, look at this place. Look at those beautiful dancers out there." He said while staring down onto the beach, watching the scarcely dressed staff girls carrying torches and flower necklaces. "Go...Go… change…" Ned mumbled, trying to reach for Peter behind him, while being completely captivated by the girls. "-and get ready for the party."
"Do you think…"
"Sorry!" He exclaimed. "See you in a bit, Peter." Ned darted for the door past all the luggage on the floor. "That cute girl just winked at me. I'm so going to ask her to dance with me."
Peter listened to the door close softly into the lock as his mind wandered away. Peter found himself lost in his own thoughts again. Worrying about things no other kid of his age ever thought about. Every since becoming Spider-Man, his body had changed. At that age, everyone does. But Peter changed more than average. He grew stronger, and gained an additional mass of muscles. All he could think about was how he could explain it. Yet, he couldn't. His excuses always revolved around this internship and playtime with Ned and you. He'd never even set foot in a gym. Let alone exercise. Flash was bound so something. And he always timed such remarks in front of the group.
Peter felt incredibly insecure about all of it. The way he looked. The way he felt. He couldn't explain anything. And that made it worse with not being able to respond well to Flash's taunts and annoying quips. Even thinking about going on that photo shirtless made him cringe.
"Peter?" He whipped around, feeling caught as he heard you knocking on the door. "Ned said you were here."
"I ehm… yes...." Rubbing the crook of his neck. Panic hitting him as he sat there. Running over to open the door to you. Peter felt his heart skip more than one beat. Seeing you standing there. No shirt, just swimming shorts and slippers. Peter had a crush on you for a long time and found himself struggling. Day in, day out. Finding the last few months even harder than it already was.
"You ok?" You asked, following Peter into the room. "You seem... on edge?"
"Did Ned say anything?!" He quipped as he turned around. "Did he?"
"No-no, you're just sweating all over." Pointing to the glistening on his forehead. "Let's jump into the sea before the picture. Still have plenty time."
"I forgot my swimming shorts." He said. "I... c-can't..."
"Oh, well I got a spare one."
"W-W...What? You bring a s-spare?" He stuttered, cheeks turning red as he began to feel the nerves in his system go in overdrive.
"Yeah, I'll get 'em. I'll be right back."
Peter had just dug his own grave even deeper now. He was trembling all over at the thought of wearing his crush swimming shorts. Hastily walking back and forth, hands in his hair. This time he couldn't think of a lie or a bad excuse.
"Here, it may be a little bit too big. But if you tie up the strings, you'll be fine." Peter sat at the edge of his bed, looking at the colorful shorts, sighing deeply.
"(Y/N)..." He said in a low voice. "I'm not… I… I don't feel comfortable about it."
"Don't worry." You chuckled. "I washed it before packing."
"That's not it." He jumped to his feet, walking back and forth with a hand combing through his curls. "I… d-" Shaking his head without finishing his sentence.
"What's wrong…?"
"I don't want this photo to happen. I don't want any of it!" He yelled out angrily in a waterfall of words. "I hate it! The whole thing. And-"
"Peter!" With both hands, you grab his shoulders. "Calm down! What's going on? Did something happen?" His big puppy eyes stared in yours for a moment before rolling his head down.
"I… can't say." Pulling himself free from your grasp. "You-… Y-You wouldn't understand." Plopping himself on the edge of the bed.
"If you don't say it, I certainly won't." You crouch onto your knees, hoping to level yourself with him, catch a glimpse of his eyes. "Please let me, Peter. We'll keep it between us, if you like."
Peter felt the butterflies buzzing in his stomach. How he loved you. Sitting in front of you. Everything he ever wanted, so close. He wanted to tell, but not risk it. Yet, and the end of all this, there was a good chance they wouldn't see each other again. The thought of it alone brought him to the verge of tears. For so many years, Peter had found a friend in you; and more. The things he had in common, the laughter, the jokes, the science. Even the simplest things. Through the years, he had grown fond of you. And in his eyes, the biggest mistake of all, a growing passion for you. To such an extent, he didn't want to sleep in the same room in the hotel. Be near you for too long.
"I need you to be honest (Y/N)." He looked up at you, the red circling his eyes. "Promise me."
"Peter… I…" Your heart skipped a beat seeing his eyes watering like that. "Of course. I will. I promise." You said resolutely. "Always."
"I-I… I... don't feel comfortable... going without... a shirt on." He mumbled. Even as he said the words, he felt embarrassed. "It's… It's... difficult to understand. And everyone's out there. And… And… y-you a-are..." Peter buried his face into his hands, overcome by shame and worries.
With Peter, you always had to choose your words carefully. He wasn't quick to anger, but he is smart. And to convince Peter to do something, you either had to have a well-thought-through plan. Or trick him. You couldn't win an argument with him. "What is bothering you? Is it a scar?"
"N-No… It's different..." He sighed. Hunching together more and more. You sat in silence, wondering what troubled him. "I shouldn't look like this (Y/N)! Not on my age." He suddenly veered up from the bed. Aggravated and annoyed by his thoughts. "See!?" Lifting the hem of his shirt, revealing abs. You were taken by surprise how well built Peter was for his age. The abs were nicely sculpted and well developed. "Everyone's going to talk about it (Y/N)!" His eyes welled with tears, on the verge of spilling across his cheeks. "I… I can't do it."
You raise yourself back up again and approach Peter. Standing there, sobbing on his own. "Listen to me, Peter." Placing his forehead against your chest, you let your fingers rake through his brown curls. "Hey…" You whisper softly, trying to get his attention. But even in this situation, Peter tried to avoid your gaze. Placing your hands on his cheeks, you gently lift his head upwards. Up close, Peter was really something. Your heart fluttered, as you couldn't help but smile. Not because of his misery. But he looked so cute. Even now. "Peter, listen…" You said softly. His big eyes finally connecting with yours. They were puppy-like. So precious and impossible to not feel his emotions spilling over to you. With the pads of both thumbs, you gently wipe away the tears from his eyes. "Look at me." Finally, able to catch his full attention. "You do... look good, Peter." You said. "You always have."
"Y-You only say that because… I… wanted to h-"
"No-No-No…" You cut him short. "I said that… because I mean it. Now, go change into these shorts. And then let's have a look." Handing him several flower necklaces in various colors and lengths. You pull them back before Peter grabs them. "But only if you want to."
"I don't see the point…" Shaking his head, disappointed. "B-But…Give me a minute." He said, disappearing into the bathroom. The time Peter spent in the bathroom was enough to feel flustered by his image. If the last months weren't already challenging enough. The point where you couldn't stop thinking about was already crossed. Peter looked so good… Both outside, and inside. And that thought kept repeating in your mind over and over again. You had to tell him.
"(Y/N)" Peter calls again. Waking you from your thoughts. Hearing the door unlock. "Can you come look?"
With a mission in mind, you lift yourself from the bed. Feeling the nerves in your legs. You were shaking. And quite heavily so. You take a few deep breaths before you walk into the bathroom and see Peter standing in front of the mirror. Peter's gaze was elsewhere but looking at himself via the mirror. Too shy or scared to do so. Peter looked nervous, and you too felt like it. The moment you stepped in, there wasn't a glimpse shared between the two of you. So you slowly approach, and take a stand behind him.
With a slight shudder in your breathing, you try to focus. Keeping your eyes on the necklaces, with good intention. Peter had simply thrown every size and shape on. But you couldn't help but stare, if only stealing a few glances in-between. His pecs and abs. His shoulders. He looked stunning. His hand grabbed yours, out of the blue, when you tried to remove a necklace. A moment of tension that forced eye contact. It's that glance you give to each other, knowing how close you finally were. You could feel him shaking through and through. Hands warm and sweaty. "Wait." He spurted, slowly letting your hand slip from his fingers, and leaned towards the door, turning the little knob. "First, what do you think?"
"Ehm… Well, locking the door might not-"
"You said you would be honest." He turned around, watching you with big eyes. "Please (Y/N)..."
Your heart pounded in your chest. Blood boiling, but in the right way. It's there you realized you had never seen him without a shirt longer than maybe half a second. In the changing rooms, he'd always take the corner. Change within a heartbeat and disappear. "L-Let's remove some of these…" Removing the necklaces one by one. It felt tense. The way you incidentally brushed your hands against his skin.
Peter looked fantastic. Again those broad shoulders. His chest was big. So well rounded. So full. And that sixpack. Your throat was going dry the more you looked. "You… eh…" A shuddered breath left you, as you wanted to think of something to say. But you couldn't. Captivated by his eyes. That innocence. That sweetness. All the things you were going to say, washed away by his cuteness.
"(Y/N)... ?" Peter asked, feeling his blood pounding between his ears. He was as nervous as ever before. Being this close to his friend. His crush. He could hear his irregular breathing. See the blush on his cheeks. And most importantly, Peter sensed it. Your heartbeat. It began to race the moment they had the discussion earlier. Peter could feel his rapid heartbeat when he laid his head to rest on your chest. But now, it was the only thing he could focus on, as it went crazy. Crazy for him. He knew.
"H-How do… do y-you feel?" You asked with a slight unintentional tremble in your voice. "That's... the most important."
"Say it, (Y/N)" Taking a step closer. "Just be honest with me." His eyes looked red, almost as if on the verge of tears. But it wasn't without a smile, a growing one. "P-Please..."
"I don't know… how to say it… Peter." You mumble, holding both his shoulders and averting your gaze for a moment. Swallowing the lump in your throat. This could be it. After all this time. "But… if this... might be the only last chance… like this… the two of us… then-"
"Who says that?" Peter cut you off. "We still have the ceremonies and-..."
"And then we part-…" Your voice broke as you said the words. The thoughts alone had wrecked you for months. And the nerves had taken their toll. "-we part ways, Peter." Feeling the tears shimmer in your eyes. The fear showed in Peter's eyes. He knew what you were talking about. And he clearly felt the same. "I… I don't want that." You whispered to him. "I… don't…"
"A-Are y-y-you sa-.. s-saying that…"
"I've always liked you, Peter." The heat rushed through your systems. Felt weak in the knees, as you instinctively pulled Peter closer to you. Inches away from his lips. "More than anything. And today hasn't changed a thing. If only… it made it worse. Peter… y-you… make me-"
"I've had a crush on you for so long…" He outright confessed. "-t-t-that I can't think straight when you're around (Y/N)."
"I want you… to know… that… that… I love you, Peter." You stammered. "I love you." Breathing heavily, staring into his puppy eyes. With your trembling hands, you lift a necklace from his chest, and over his head, taking the last step in his direction. Peter pinned between the sink and you. Your noses almost bumping into each other, as you both showed a growing smile. It's a silent exchange of glances. But you both knew what needed to happen. You lean into him, gently landing your lips on Peter's. They're so soft and warm. Inviting to a degree, you've never felt. Your heart fluttered. And for that brief moment, in that kiss, the world fell away around you. Holding his body, leaning into you, meeting Peter's loving eyes up close.
"Peter…" You kissed him again. "You are absolutely beautiful." He was so flustered to a point Peter couldn't say anything. Only staring into your eyes. "With and without clothes." Returning the kiss to you before cradling his head in the crook of your neck. "Inside and outside." Kissing his hair. "Don't you forget that."
"Thank you (Y/N)." He quietly whispered, peppering small kisses to the skin of your neck. His arms holding you in his embrace. It's intimate at first, as the barrier finally had fallen. But as you stand there, together, it felt more than that. Reassuring and calming. Swaying in each other's arms, peppering small kisses onto each other. "I'm so happy…" He said, looking at you with red lines eyes. Rubbing the first tears from his eyes with the back of his hand. "I… I… love you (Y/N)." He smiled broadly. "I w-wanted to tell you... B-But… I never knew how to." Hugging himself tightly against you.
"Nor did I, Peter." You admitted. "It kept me awake for so long. The thought of leaving-…" Shaking the thoughts from your head, you tighten your arms around Peter. "Not anymore."
"I love you so much (Y/N)." He smiled. "C-Can… I… kiss you… again?" He stuttered but held back for a moment. "Oh, man... I'm still shaking all over." Looking at his trembling hands. "You make me so nervous… I… I…"
"Please, Peter…" You silenced his lips with your finger. "Kiss me until the nerves go away. And then… keep going." Peter's eyes sparkled as he cupped your cheeks. Taking your lips on his again. This time with confidence and power.

"And… that's how it happened." Peter beamed from ear to ear. Waiting for May's reaction as she held the picture in her hands. It showed the group picture on the beach in Hawaii. With the sun going down in the background, and everyone dressed in the right style. In the corner, top left, back row, stood Peter, together with you. Both their arms around each other. And as the photographer looked for the right moment, Peter had focused his spidey-senses. And leaned in. Kissing you on the cheek, just at the right moment, immortalizing the day forever. Peter had never felt so proud as in that moment.
"Peter! I'm so happy for you." May said. "I love it. It's perfect." And even before Peter realized halfway continuing his story about how funny and loving you are, she had driven her scissors deep into it.
"May!" Peter called, jumping up and over the couch, scaring her in the process. "What're you doing?!"
"Calm down, sweetie." She said with complete calm in her voice, patting Peter on his cheek. And continued to cut further into the picture. "I'm getting rid... of all these people… I don't care about. See?" With great care, she cut a frame around you and Peter.
"But… But… you love these pictures?"
"I do. And this is the best one." She reassured him. "I need these two close to me." Holding the small squared picture of Peter and (Y/N). "You two are the cutest." She smiled, pulling Peter in for a hug. Followed by a kiss on top of his hair. "I love it."
"You haven't met him yet…" Peter said as if she was overestimating you. "He could be-" As he was disturbed by a notification on his phone.
"No, Peter." May continued while he read your message. "He's cute. I can see it. You did good." Ruffling through his hair. "I haven't seen you this happy before." She chuckled as she tried to get Peter's attention again.
Peter felt amazing. He couldn't keep his eyes away from the picture. It held so many good memories for him. Thinking about you made him glow and seeing you in the picture even more. He felt the butterflies stirring his insides again. A blush warming his cheeks. Peter was absolutely crazy about you. "Yeah… He's great." He smiled, biting his lower lip. "But May... he wants to meet up. What do I do?"
"What do you want?"
"Well, I… I... want to be with him, of course… and…" Peter said with a slightly shaken voice. The smile on his face growing as he thought about you. "-and… you know…"
"Of course you want to." May said with a smile, knowing exactly what her little boy meant. "Now, Petey, send him a message back. Let him come over tonight." Pulling Peter's eyes up from the phone as she pulled the boy's face up by his chin.
"But how-?" Peter panicked slightly. "How do I look? How should I look? What if-"
"First Peter." May interrupted, trying to stop him from rambling. "First, you're going tell me all about him." Peter's eyes sparkled as he thought about you. And how you could spend the night together. He wanted nothing more. But how he should approach it, that was another thing. He never dated before. And in a way, he felt like it was a date. May led Peter back to the couch. "Then we're going to come up with something special for tonight. Just for the two of you."

A/N: Okay so I feel way more comfortable posting this chapter after I said I wasn't going to post the rest. Let me know if this cringy, I love feedback.
------------------
The day was Friday and it was the same as any other day, Charmaine was back home from her class, Peter was getting out of school, the team either train or helped find the location of the Hydra base that held the scepter. One month after the avengers been staying in the tower. The relationship between Charm and Bucky was growing every day, at times they act like a couple without even noticing.
"Did you enjoy dinner?" Charm questioned while washing the few dishes that were in the sink. Bucky walked over placing a kiss on her cheek and putting his dirty plate in the water.
"I loved it, that lobster mac and cheese was amazing."
She blushed at the comment and his boldness of him kissing her on the cheek. He winked then walked over to the couch sitting down beside Sam, joining him in the movie that was playing. Bucky let go of the nervous breath he was holding, he seemed confident on the outside but on the inside, he was scared as fuck.
Charmaine wasn't no easy girl that he would flirt and take home the same night in the '40s. She was the girl that he wants to get to know fully, learn the little things about, be himself around. So most time he was around Charm, he was nervous as hell praying that he wouldn't say something dumb.
Charmaine hummed one of her favorite songs while cleaning up the last dish thinking about a certain long-haired brunette. She turned around coming face to face with spiderman who was hanging upside down. The 21-year old let out a yelp clutching her heart.
"Peter don't do that !! What the hell dude."
"You okay Charm?" Bucky questioned from the couch looking over at her. He saw Peter hanging down so his concerns washed away. "Oh, Peter just scared her."
"Yeah, you alright?" Sam asked as well not taking his eyes off the screen, ignoring what Bucky just said.
"Sorry Champagne, I just came back from patrol and I rushed in here before you left to ask you this. Can you make brownies? I wasn't here the last time you made them and everyone said they were good. " Peter rambled as he let himself come down, sitting on top of the perfectly clean marble countertop.
"They were!" Sam chimed in.
"See! I want to try them." Peter pout poking out his lip.
"I be spoiling you guys I swear. I'll make some just for you Peter." Charm groaned playfully, opening the cabinet grabbing the brownie box. "Get your ass off my counter, I just cleaned it."
Peter hopped off happily," So? You and Bucky?"
"Peter if you continue to say something about that topic, I'm not making the brownies." She warned looking in the fridge for the eggs. Maria walked in from the elevator with a serious face grabbing everyone's attention.
"They found the base. Cap said suit up and meet them in the lab in 5. Peter, Happy is downstairs waiting for you."
Everyone nodded and Charm hugged Peter. Tony had let slide with one of his kids going on the mission, not both so Peter was going home until they got back. She kissed his forehead.
"This mission shouldn't take long, I'll be back to make your brownies. Be good for Aunt May."
" I am Champagne, be safe and please come back. "
"I will Petey. I'll always come back."
-----------
Charmaine walked in beside Sam as they were the last two to join the rest in the lab. She found a spot beside Scott. Everyone was in full armor ready to go except Bruce and Tony because you know.
"Glad of you two to finally make it," Tony said sarcastically then started swiping away on his tablet. It projects a hologram of what seems to be Rome. "We are going to Rome. Intel tells us that hydra has a camp in the countryside."
The hologram shows a huge vineyard with a building that looked abandoned with little buildings surrounded.
"Inside sources tell us that the person who is over this organization called M.A.Z.E is supposed to be visiting any moment now. We're taking down two operations at once so be prepared for this mission to be one of the hardest." Maria said reading something off her tablet. Charm snuck a glance at Bucky who was in his winter soldier attire. She hoped that this mission wasn't going too hard for him.
"Brief explanation. Stay focused at all times, take out as many as you can, feeling overwhelmed? Walk it off. Get in, Get out. Anyone that has the chance grabs the scepter." Steve spoke with determination.
"When we get there we fight anyone that comes our way. Sam or Stark will find a way to get us in. Charm you stay by someone at all times okay? first mission and we don't want to lose you."
"Gotcha." Charm nod her head understanding his rule.
-------------
Inside the quinjet, she sat beside Bucky. Both had their mask off to communicate with each other. Everyone was in either their own zone or in a conversation. Bucky closed his eyes so he could converge on how to not lose control of himself, he didn't want to completely turn back into the winter soldier.
"You like my suit?" Charmaine asked softly taking him out of his trance.
Bucky turns his head giving a smile, "I like it. You make it look good and very badass."
"I feel like a badass." She jokes making them laugh. As their laughter died down, Charm grabbed his hand pulling it in her lap. "Are you okay about this whole mission? I know history with you and hydra isn't really that good."
"I should be good, I just don't want to be captured again, you know? Steve and I are still working on me not reacting to my trigger words. It's hard but it's working. Plus I got you fighting by my side so we are going to be the coldest duo."
"Well I'm not going to let that happen, you protect me so I'm going to always protect you . If you don't mind, I could help with the trigger words? I'll be there to hold your hand or something." Charm said with quiet empathy giving him a soft smile. " Coldest duo? Well, this mission should be over in no time. When we get back can we finish watching Legally Blonde? You fell asleep before it started leaving me up by myself."
"I'll check with Steve when we do it the next time, I wouldn't want you to get hurt if anything happened," Bucky said nodding his head towards Steve. " And I told you that I was tired! You didn't listen and put on the movie anyway."
"I'm not going to get hurt and I thought you were playing!" Charm said in defense then calmed down. "Hey, Bucky?"
"Hmm?"
"I'm always going to be here for you okay? You mean the world to me and I don't want to lose you under no circumstances." She said holding his hand to her face. Charmaine looked him in the eyes, showing that she was serious. A world without Bucky is a world that she can't live in. She needs him.
His hand opened and Charm cuddled to it. Bucky looked at her in admiration rubbing his thumb against her cheek. He admits it, Buchanan was head over heels for her,"You mean the world to me as well so don't think you're going anywhere. You're my lucky charm."
In the next four hours, they had arrived Rome's countryside and everyone prepared for landing. Charm stood next to her dad as his Iron Man suit connects over his body. Before his helmet covered his face, Tony turned to Charm.
"Kiddo, be safe alright? Don't get hurt or anything."
"I will." She reassured and he kissed her forehead. 'Now thinking about it Tony has a weird way of expressing his feelings' Charmaine thought to herself. The doors to the jet opened and Steve spoke up, "Stark, Sam you're up!"
-------------------------
A/N: I am not good with action so skipping to the juicy part.
-------------------------
Charmaine ran down the hallway trying to find the exit to the big building. Thor didn't retrieve the scepter and they were still looking but time was winding down. She ran into this room where there were big computer screens on the wall with a closed-cell in the corner.
"Ahh, I have been looking for you." A female voice came from behind her making Charmaine turn around swiftly. "I'm Mazikeen and you are going to be on in my unit."
The room filled with tension as they circled each other not losing sight of one another. "Unit? I'm not going to be anyone's slave. Let alone let you lay a finger on me, so let go of that stupid ass idea you have." Charmie snapped holding her fist up. Mazikeen winked getting in defense mode as well.
"Snarky? I like that. Let's do this shall we?"
She swings on Charm who easily blocks it. The two fight hand-to-hand combat for a couple of minutes, none stop. Charmaine was getting tired but she held her weight up. She kicked Mazikeen on her back, placing her foot on her neck. The Demon grabbed her ankle smirking then rolled over making Charm fall on her side. She gets on top, pulling out her knife.
"This won't hurt one bit. Well, maybe just a little."
"Anyone have eyes on Charmaine? The building is going to blow in 3 minutes." Tony's voice came through the comm.
"I'm busy at the moment!" Charm yelled pushing Mazikeen's arms up so she wouldn't get stabbed in the face. The dark skin girl moved one of her hands to the side grabbing the demon's hair yanking it.
Mazikeen fell off and it gave her enough time to get back to her feet. Charm kicked her to stay down but Mazi grabs her foot mid-air then twist it making her body twirl, falling on the ground.
"I will have you to myself and make you my eternal flame. Right along with the other 3 elements. You are going to be the most powerful." Mazikeen leans down grabbing her hair yanking it making Charmaine cry out in pain. The demon moved her mouth close to Charm's ear with a sinister smirk.
"I'm going to have you kill anyone that stands in our way."
A guard's body flew in the door from someone kicking him through. Bucky walks into the room angrily seeing Mazikeen holding a handful of Charm's brown hair.
He runs over punching her in the face making the demon drop his lover. Bucky grabbed Mazikeen by the neck with his metal hand dragging her towards the closed-cell.
The bounty hunter's eyes widen from the pressure that was on her throat, she hit his arm repeatedly but that didn't do anything. Bucky flings her into the closed cell like she was discarded trash.
Charm sits on the ground rubbing the back of her head, the words haunting her mind. Bucky goes back over to help his best girl onto her feet.
"We need to out of here now."
But it was muffled because of the mask. She nodded putting her weight on him as they walked to the exit. On the roof, the two ran to the middle.
"We're on the roof! Bring the Quinjet!" Bucky yelled taking off his mouth cover. Charm was hunched over trying to catch her breath, she literally just fought 5 minutes straight now she doing a full-out run. She needed more exercise.
The explosion sounded off and the building shook. Just in time, the Quinjet hovered down lowly so they could get on. A huge crack in the roof separated the two.
The building was going to collapse.
They looked around frantically as Charm's side start to slowly but gradually fall.
"Jump!" Bucky yelled, holding out his hand.
Charm did as told, not even second-guessing, leaping off the fallen building. She catches the side of the broken roof, barely holding on with one hand. All she needed to do was use her upper body to lurch her forward so her other hand could grab his. Bucky bends over, reaching for her hand, not taking his blue eyes off her brown ones.
Charmaine's eyes were filled with fear, feeling herself slowly losing grip, "I can't reach it!"
"Use your strength, Charmaine. Grab my hand!"
"I can't, Bucky; my body is too tired. I feel myself slipping!"
"Charm, grab his hand! Bucky, you need to need to grab Steve's hand. That building is going to collapse any second! He will pull you guys up." Natasha said in the comms but was ignored by both.
Bucky leans forward more without noticing that he might fall himself, "I'm not leaving without you charmaine. grab my hand!"
"I'm trying!" Charm yelled when she tries to lift herself; it aches in pain. She drops her hand down in pain. Tears clouded her vision as she knew this was it; Bucky stared at her scratched-filled face knowing what she was thinking. He shook his head; He can't lose her, not now, " No Charm, you're leaving with me!"
Charmie could feel the building she was holding on to began to fall, sobbing; she looked into Bucky's blue eyes one last time. "I'm sorry Bucky."
"No Charmie, you have time. Just grab my hand! P-Please." Bucky yelled as tears clouded his vision. "You're my lucky charm. I need you!"
The building collapsed, and his feet slip from under him. A hand grabs his keeping Bucky from falling in the rubble; Natasha lowered it down in time just for Steve to grab the back of his armor from falling with her.
"No!" Bucky stared in horror watching Charmaine screamed, falling into the explosion reaching out for him.
Steve gasp as tears fell down his face seeing the horrible fate of his sister.
There was nothing either could do.
With the help of others, Steve pulled Bucky into the quinjet.
Bucky laid on his stomach sobbing with heartache.
Tears weld in Thor's eyes as he saw that Charmaine wasn't on the jet. This didn't seem real to him; he couldn't accept it, "Where is Charmie? Why isn't my sister on this jet?!"
"Steve, where is Charmie?" Natasha asked, slowly getting up from the pilot seat as Clint took over. Her heart raced, hoping that he would say that Tony has her or something. Bruce grabbed her waist, but she snatched away from his touch.
"Natasha, sit down."
"Don't tell me to sit down! Where is she?!"
Steve couldn't say anything as he drops to his knees, breaking down. Sam catches him before he hit the floor. "I got you man."
The jet doors opened as Tony flew in; he raised an eyebrow to see the team in tears. He was getting files in this underground room but got out in time just as the building collapsed. He noticed someone was missing.
"What's going on? Where is Charmaine?"
No one answer, which made Tony panic.
"Where is my daughter?!"
"Tony, she died; she f-fell into the explosion," Scott informed him while wiping his tears. Her falling replayed in Bucky's mind like it was his personal hell. Charm reached out for him, and he couldn't save her. He failed.
Tony's world crumbled as tears blurred his vision looking around the jet as if she was hiding, "What? Barnes tell me he's lying! Where the hell is my daughter!"
Bucky sat up now with his knees to his chest; he couldn't stop crying no matter how much he tried. He lost the one person that meant the most to him other than Steve, the person he saw a future with. His best girl is no longer here.
Tony sat down in a seat in disbelief; for once in his life, he cried. He completely broke down, not being able to hold it. She filled the lonely hole in his heart; everyone he ever loved was gone, and the person who made him happy.
Was gone too.
------------------
It was evening time when they got back; they had been gone all day.
The living room was silent; the avengers sat down sulking and mourning. Bucky squeezed his eyes tightly closed as the memory of her falling hit his mind like a truck. Tony had his head in his hands, just letting his mind run all over the place. The elevator ding, and a frantic Peter walked out looking for Tony.
"Mr. Stark, I'm here! What happened? Is everyone okay? Are you okay?" Peter rambled, walking into the living room. He noticed everyone's sad behavior, then looked around for Champagne. "Guys? Did something happen? Where is Charmaine?"
Tony gets up from the couch, going to Peter, engulfing him in a hug. Peter hugged back, shock that he did that but was still confused about what happened. "Mr. Stark, what's wrong?"
"She n-not co-coming back, kiddo."
"H-huh?"
"I'm s-sorry, kid."
"N-no, you're lying! This isn't a joking matter, Mr.Stark; everyone can put smiles on their fucking faces, and Champagne can pop up from under the couch." Peter said abruptly, pulling back from Tony's arms; doing a 360 to look around for a camera. Steve rubbed his hand over his mouth to keep from crying again.
"Queens, it's not a jo-joke."
Peter's face reddens from anger and sadness," She said she was coming back! She promised! What happened to her?!" Charmaine promised without even promising him because she always comes back. Peter prayed that this a sick ass joke; she was his best friend. Him and Her against the world.
"She fe-fell into the explosion Peter," Bruce said sadly; with that, Natasha broke down in his arms. Peter wasn't taking this well, and that broke everyone's heart even more.
"N-no guys, stop this, pl-please."Peter cried, shaking his head, then he looked Tony in the eyes. Her father nodded his head as a way of saying that it's true. Peter broke down mentally, " My Champagne is su-supposed to be here with me. My best friend is.."
Tony pulls his son into his arms; tears threaten to spill.
Peter sobbed his heart out.

2:43 a.m.
Bucky's body lurched forward after grabbing the gun that was kept under his pillow for 'emergency purposes' raised at...
Steve.
"Bucky, drop the gun. It's me."
"Shit, I'm sorry, Steve." His fingers slowly lost grip of the gun, and the weapon dropped to his lap. His chest drew up sharply with each breath as he tried to control his rapidly beating heart. Steve sat on the edge of his bed.
"It's fine Buck, you were yelling, so I came in here to see if everything was alright."
"I should be fine."
"Okay, I'm going back to bed and try to get some sleep before my morning exercise." Steve sighs, getting up from the bed. He wasn't getting any sleep at all, but he didn't want to tell Bucky that.
"Steve?" Bucky called before he could leave out the room. Steve stopped in his tracks looking at him.
"Yeah?"
"Can you stay with me and watch Legally Blonde? I was supposed to watch it with Ch-Charm when we came back, but..."
"I'll stay Bucky; I don't mind."
Bucky gave a small smile getting out of bed, grabbing some pillows and the comforter. Steve grabbed his laptop from the desk to find the movie. 5 minutes later, the two super soldiers were lying on the floor, eyes glued to the computer enjoying the movie.

As a child who was raised by a single mother this one was both a challenge and a joy to write. I hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed writing it. This takes place like a week before TFATWS

Getting used to the modern world wasn’t that much of a struggle for Bucky, but the civilian modern world was a different situation. He still felt himself looking over his shoulder as he walked. He had locks on all of his windows and a sliding bolt on his front door. He had three phones, a burner he showed his therapist, a smartphone for keeping track of the news and talking to friends, and a third one that was exclusively for communicating with Wakanda. The last of which was a mixture of conversations with Ayo and memes from Shuri.
His therapist was pushing him to make friends and to try online dating. She later told him to ‘play tourist’ and explore what his locality had to offer. Something about it possibly introducing him to new people and at the very least ‘make you more interesting’.
So every week he went to a different place. He started with the Brooklyn Museum, having gone there for field trips as a kid. It was definitely more interesting now as an adult. The next place was the Brooklyn Flea, where he managed to get a record player and some records from when he was a teenager. He smiled fondly as the old tune played through his apartment, bringing back memories of flirting with pretty girls at the soda fountain and beating up bullies with Steve (Well, FOR steve at this time)
This is what lead him to be out in Brooklyn Park’s Harbour View Lawn on a Thursday Evening. They had this event called ‘Movies with a view’ that they did in the summer. The idea of being alone in a crowd of picnic-goers didn’t seem that appealing, but when he saw they were playing the original Dumbo, the same one he took his little sister Rebecca to see when he was 16 years old, he couldn’t pass up seeing the animated masterpiece on the big screen. Besides, if he got too uncomfortable no one would bat an eye to a man leaving an open-air venue.
He put some snacks, a drink, and a book(One of the ‘Lord of the rings’ series as he had been catching up)in his backpack and set out. He arrived early so he could sit on one of the benches. People from all walks of life arrived around him. Families both young and old, older couples searching for nostalgia, lovers looking longingly at each other, groups of friends looking to fill an evening, and so many children. The lawn had filled up so rapidly as people descended onto the grass, laying out their blankets and pulling out picnics they had prepared at home and purchased moments before from their favorite grocers. There was an undeniable excitement in the air as the sun was setting. Despite the fact it was the people watching that had him caught up, Bucky hadn’t noticed the small child walking up to him until she was less than a foot away from him, staring at him with big e/c eyes.
She wore a summer dress with a cardigan protecting her shoulders from the sun. Her hair was pushed back in a hairband. She was holding a yellow teddy bear that wore a silver t-shirt and a red cape and had gone limp from a combination of lost stuffing and age.
“Hi,” Bucky said, clearly uncomfortable. “Are you okay?” She walked up and sat next to him. He shifted away from her slightly, aware that this may look odd to any by-passers.
“I know who you are.” The little girl whispered to him.
“Do you?” Bucky asked, trying to remain calm. It was just a little kid, but she was freaking him out a little bit. For all he knew, this small child could be a member of some new black widow program. She smiled widely, revealing she was missing a front tooth.
“You’re Captain America’s best friend!” she half-whispered, half-squeaked in excitement. “Me and my brother saw you at the museum!”
Bucky couldn’t help the nervous laughter that came out of him. He felt himself relax at the kid’s excitement. “You saw me at the museum?” he faked intrigue. He knew there was a display on him in every Captain America museum.
Her hair bounced as she nodded. “There was a big picture on the glass and it said that you were dead, but my brother said you weren’t dead. And I thought he was being stupid, cause,” She looked around and then leaned in a little closer as if telling Bucky a secret “He can be really stupid. He didn’t even know how to tie his shoelaces until he was ten! But I’ve known how to tie my shoelaces since I was six!” She boasted.
“That’s amazing. since you were six? How old are you now?”
“I’m seven and three quarters.”
“Wow, you’re a big girl.” She nodded with a ‘yep’. “But you’re not big enough to be on your own, kiddo-”
“I’m not on my own, I’m with you.” She interrupted him. Following the trend of interruptions, a boy ran up to the two of them, holding a picnic blanket in his arms. He wore blue board shorts with a Captain America t-shirt and Iron man themed sneakers.
“Y/D/N what are you doing?! Mom is looking for you!” He yelled at the little girl. The two looked remarkably similar to each other.
“Look!” she ordered, pointing at Bucky. The boy looked at Bucky and his mouth dropped open, looking like a fish. Bucky wanted to laugh at how cartoonish it looked.
“You’re Captain America’s best friend.” He exclaimed though he couldn’t be heard that well over the chatter of people settling down and the movie being set up. “I knew that you weren’t dead, even before you were fighting Iron Man in Germany. That was so cool, Iron man was all pew pew and Spiderman was all thwish twish and you were in the middle all pow pow” The blanket had since fallen to the ground as the young boy got caught in his excitement and started recreating the movements with the sound effects, punching the air for Bucky’s punches, waving his arms around wildly for Wanda’s magic. Y/D/N looked on bored as he continued his display “and when the dust cleared you and Cap were gone, like dust in the wind.” He recounted epically, waving his fingers in a sideways motion.
“I told you he was stupid.” The little girl commented.
“You’re stupid!” he shot back. Before anything could escalate, Bucky gently put his arms between the children.
“Hey now, let’s not fight. If I have to call the Avengers they’re gonna be mad.” Bucky spoke. He really hoped this would work, and that they wouldn’t continue to fight in hopes of bringing the Avengers down to Harbour View Lawn. The movie started then, music playing out over the crowd rendering the crowd quiet.
“Mom is gonna be worried.” The boy stressed out loud
“What’s your name, son?” Bucky spoke to the boy
“Y/S/N.”
“Okay, Y/S/N. Here’s what we’re gonna do. Spread that blanket there.” Bucky motioned to the empty patch just a step in front of the bench he was sitting on. “and you two will stay here while I go tell the event people that you can’t find your mom.” The two kids spread out the blanket and sat on it. Bucky passed them his backpack and asked them to take care of it so they wouldn’t runoff. He found an event organizer and told them the situation, describing the kids. He returned shortly, the two kids not having moved as the movie played on a screen in front of the open water. He sat back down on the bench just behind the kids, paying more attention to them than the film.
“I’m hungry,” Y/D/N complained.
“That’s what you get for running off.” Y/S/N shot back at her.
“Do you like oranges?” Bucky spoke up behind them. Y/D/N nearly launched off the blanket as she yelped ‘yeah’ back at the man, twirling to look at him. He opened his bag and pulled out his orange, passing it to the little girl. Unprompted, the little girl asked her brother if he wanted half, which he happily accepted. “Sorry I don’t have another.”
“It’s okay, we share all the time,” Y/S/N explained, shoving an orange slice into his mouth.
You are a good ten minutes into the movie when a panicked woman is lead over to them by an event organizer. She runs to them, falling to her knees as she scoops them into a hug. “Oh, my babies.” She sobbed. “You scared me so much.”
“Mooom!” The boy groaned.
She rapidly thanked Bucky and the event organizer, who took their leave once they were reassured that the situation had been handled. “You are both in so much trouble!”
“Can we be in trouble after the movie?” The girl asked.
You were about to order them to get up and leave when Bucky spoke up. “I’ve been able to keep a good eye on them from up here, and there’s plenty of space.”
The joint chorus of ‘pleases’ from your two kids won you over. You sat down next to the man. You two could barely see each other in the dark, but he seemed nice. After all, he had reunited you with your kids.
“Thanks again for keeping an eye on them.” You whispered. “I hope they didn’t give your group too much trouble.”
“No,” he answered quietly “They’re good kids.”
“Not good enough,” you muttered. “They’re excitable, but that just means it’s never boring.” Bucky watched as Y/D/N turned around and pulled a full net of oranges out of your bag.
Watching the movie with company was definitely better. A comfortable silence fell among the four of you, only broken when you had offered him a couple of the bite-sized chocolate bars you had brought. The kids laughed at the movie, your little girl even cheering on the animated elephant. She threw her hands up in a cheer when he successfully took flight, making the two adults chuckle.
“Told you they were excitable.” You giggled.
“Me and my little sister were worse when he first saw Dumbo.” Bucky admitted. “We were on the edge of our seats the whole movie.”
“How else can you enjoy a movie!” you posed the rhetorical question.
Bucky had to admit he thought you were lovely. Just enough seriousness and playfulness rolled into one. So when the lights came on at the end of the movie and he saw how beautiful you were he felt his heart race a little. You were already cleaning up while your children told you how great the movie was. He gathered his stuff and went to slip out when Y/D/N called out to him.
“Where are you going?”
“The nice man probably has places to be-” you began to lightly chastise the girl when you finally saw who you had been sitting next to throughout the movie. “You’re…”
Bucky held his breath. It was one thing the kid’s thinking he was amazing; you were a grown adult. Someone that possibly knew of his history and most likely thought ill of him. He waited for you to say his old mantal, possibly with fear or anger. Instead, you smiled gently,
“James Barnes.” You spoke. A moment later you flustered slightly. “I’m sorry. I work at the Museum of the City in East Harlem. We just did a big-” you stopped yourself before you could ramble onwards. “I’m Y/N L/N.”
It was a breath of fresh air to have someone react to him in such a…human way. “Please, call me Bucky.” He smiled warmly as he fixed his bag on his shoulder. “Can I walk you out?”
After your section was cleaned up the four of you walked out, with the two kids walking ahead of you. Despite how late it was, they still had energy. You had been left to take care of your daughter’s stuffed toy while she chased your son around the park space. “What you said about your sister,” you started, trying to keep an eye on your two kids despite how eye-catching the man beside you was. “I’m guessing that was back in the forties?”
“Yeah. Me and my little sister Becca went to see it. Me and Steve took her to see Snow White and since then we’d see all the cartoon movies. Every time we’d run home and beg our parents for extra allowance and bunk off school so we could see it before the other kids.”
“Captain America and the Winter Soldier…loved Disney movies.” You chuckled. “It sounds like some click-bait title.”
“We didn’t even have to beg that much, looking back,” Bucky recalled, shaking his head. The memories of Steve having an asthma attack outside the theatre because they’d run so fast to get there in time. Becca would pull him in by his shirt while he was still wheezing so she wouldn’t miss the opening cartoons.
“According to the display, you two were quite the pair.” You replied. “They were probably just happy to have you off the street and not causing trouble.”
Speaking of trouble, your two kids came bounding towards you with an angry swan on their heels. “Mommy!” Your little girl shrieked. The swan had given up its chase but the two still charged, Y/D/N colliding right into you and Y/S/N going behind Bucky to use him as a shield.
“I think that’s enough wondering for today.” You passively suggested. Y/S/N agreed as Bucky put his arm around the young boy and keeping it there as you walked and talked. You came to the exit of the park. “I’m this way,” you said.
“I’m the other way,” Bucky admitted. The two kids said goodbye to Bucky, clearly sad to be parting. You thanked him again for what he had done and turned to go with your own goodbye. “Before you go,” Bucky stopped you. “Could I get your number?”
You were instantly shocked. Your mouth opened and closed limply for a moment. “Are you sure?”
Bucky was slightly taken aback at that question. “Why wouldn’t I be?”
“I have two kids?” You said, almost sounding like a question.
“He knows that, mom.” Your son groaned. He looked absolutely bored; your daughter had newfound excitement.
“And I’d like to get to know more about you,” Bucky spoke. You chuckled nervously, looking away for a moment as you felt your cheeks flush then looked back to the tall man.
“I’d like that too.” You confessed, stepping forward. “Gimme your phone and I’ll put it in.”
Without a second thought, he pulled out his smartphone and watched you put your phone number in. “All setup.” You passed the phone back with a smile.
To say the two of you were riding on cloud 9 for the rest of the night would be an understatement.

Yo Momma
Masterlist
Gender: Female
Pairing: Peter Parker x avenger!reader
Warning: None
Was just randomly thinking about how each avenger would react to a yo momma joke, hence the name of the one-shot
There's like 0.2% of fluff in this really it's just an avengers crack fic
(Starts in the first Thor movie)
---------------------------------------
You first met Thor of Asgard when you were just nine years old.
Of course, you hadn't known who he was at first. No one did. He was just another new face at the little diner your mom loved until he smashed a mug on the floor while yelling, "This drink, I like it. ANOTHER!"
Your mom always taught you that it was rude to stare, but at this point the entire diner went quiet as everyone watched the man with long blond hair who, though he was wearing normal clothing, looked so out of place.
Even once the diner went back to normal, you couldn't keep your eyes off of him.
"Mom, that man's weird," you whispered as you watched the brown-haired woman in front of him attempt to explain why crashing a cup is wrong, which he was obviously not seeming to understand.
"Don't stare, [Y/N]," she said. "I don't know what his deal is but we're not trying to find out, okay?"
"Okay," you replied, still finding it hard to keep your eyes off of the strange man.
"Now I'm gonna go to the restroom, alright. While I'm gone, stay in your seat and mind your business," she ordered. "I don't need to come back having to rip you from the hands of a giant."
You nodded. "Yes ma'am."
The second she left, you looked back at where the man had thrown the mug to see that no-one had picked it up. Frowning, you walked over with your hands on your hips. "Excuse me," you said, tapping the man on the shoulder, gaining his table's attention.
The brown haired woman smiled. "Awww, hi sweetie!"
"Are you going to clean that up?," you asked, pointing towards the mess on the floor.
In return, he scoffed, pushing your hand off of his shoulder. "Go away, little girl."
"My momma says you look like a giant," you noted.
Another woman at the table, this one in glasses, snickered. "Well, she wasn't wrong about that."
The strange man rubbed his chin as he looked down on you. "Little girl," he called out with a small scowl. "Have you no mind of who I am?"
You tilted your head. "Uh, what?"
The brown haired woman laughed nervously. "I already told you, Thor, or whoever you think you are.. no one knows you here."
"Thor's a weird name." You crossed your arms and gave a childish glare. "And you have a weird voice," you added.
Thor rolled his eyes, somehow becoming as emotionally invested in the argument as you, a child, were. "You're a weird, tiny, little girl."
You stuck out your lips. "You're mom's a weird, tiny, little girl!," you yelled back before walking back to your booth. Once there, you turned your body around in your seat. "In fact, your momma's so ugly, she went into a haunted house and came out with a job application!"
"Oh, shit!" The brown haired girl and her friend laughed as they watched Thor's face turn red.
"You keep my mother's name out of your filthy mouth, you-"
Your mother walked out of the restroom and grabbed your hand to leave the diner. "Come on, [Y/N]. Ready to go?"
You shot a shit-eating grin back to Thor's table, having gotten away with your little bout of disobedience, before turning back to your mom. "Yes ma'am."
If only you knew that diner experience would come back to bite you in the butt much later...
~~
You were sixteen when you met Thor of Asgard, again.
"Don't be nervous, kid," Happy told you as you watched the elevator numbers go up. "They're not really that intimidating. Plus, we just got a new kid and he's your age, so you'll be fine if you just keep your head on straight."
"Okay," you mumbled, tapping your foot on the ground anxiously.
It wasn't long ago when Iron Man found you while he was flying through New York. He hadn't even noticed you at first, but the pure energy radiating from you was jamming J.A.R.V.I.S.'s system and well, normal people don't just have pure energy radiating from them.
You discovered your power when you were twelve years old. It was something you hid, until he found you and decided that you didn't need to hide it anymore. Where he would take you, you could actually be yourself, powers and all.
You were going to be meeting the Avengers. You were going to be an Avenger.
"Seriously," Happy groaned. "You're actually heating up the entire elevator. Calm down."
"Sorry," you said, only just then noticing your fingers were lighting up. You took in a deep breath, focusing on calming your nerves. But there was one thing that was just bugging you.
The day the Avengers first saved the world, it was broadcasts EVERYWHERE. Everyone knew who they were.
And it totally was more than just a simple shock to you when you recognized the face on your tv screen.
The guy literally bashing aliens to smithereens was the guy who was at the diner. The guy who'd saved the earth several times since then was that guy.
And you joked on his mom right to his face.
"Question."
"Shoot."
"Does Thor have good memory?"
Happy's brows drew together at the random question. "Uh, I dunno. Why exactly?"
You shook your head nervously. "No reason."
The doors of the elevator opened and you were met with the largest, more than likely most expensive living room you've ever seen (and will ever see) in your entire life.
Sitting on the couch was a teenage boy. A really cute teenage boy in a striped button up shirt. At the sound of the elevator opening, he turned his head from the tv screen to look over. His eyes lit up in recognition at seeing you and he immediately ran over.
"Um, hi!," he greeted. "My name's Peter. Mr. Stark told me to give you the tour when you get here." He held his hand out for you to shake.
The second your palms touched, he immediately pulled away, a yelp of pain coming from his lips. "You're hands are like- REALLY HOT!"
"Oh, sorry!," you said, giving an apologetic smile. "I'm just really nervous."
He held his hand carefully, holding it by his side. "So I take it you have fire powers or something?"
"Pure energy," you corrected. "I can manifest it from my body into these really big blasts and stuff."
"That's super cool!"
You blushed. "Thanks, but I'm still learning to control it. If I get too emotional, it gets pretty bad."
Peter smiled, placing his hand on your shoulder (which was covered up with clothing). "Well, that's what we're here for, [Y/N]. To get better."
He led you down the hall, showing you different rooms and all the places you were allowed to go in. You even had a room of your own. One you could customize however you wished. Needless, to say, you knew you'd enjoy your time there.
And on top of it all, Peter turned out to be just one big ball of perfection. He was sweet, he listened, and holy crap was he cute.
"So," you asked. "What's your power?"
Peter's mouth curved into a smile. "Follow me." You followed him to a room that wasn't too far from yours. You chuckled, noticing how giddy he was being as he unlocked the door.
He led you into the room and you gasped as the first thing you laid your eyes on was a big Spiderman graffitied onto the wall of the room.
"Holy cow, dude. You're Spiderman!"
"Yep," he answered with a smirk. "Oh! And now that you're one of us, that means you get to make a name and have a cool suit too! You're gonna love it here-"
"Parker, is that the new recruit?," a new voice broke in.
You noticed that Peter immediately stood up a bit straighter, so you followed suit as you looked at who the man was. "Uh, yes sir, this is [Y/N]."
Your eyes went wide. "You're Captain America!," you gasped.
He nodded in return. "Steve. Nice to meet you. Come on, come meet the rest of the team."
You gave a nervous chuckle as you walked forward, following wherever Steve was leading you.
"Hey," Peter said, nudging you in the arm. "Relax. They'll be really nice."
You nodded. "Mhmm. Hey, question." He turned, giving you a helpful smile. "Does Thor have a good memory?"
He chuckled. "That's an oddly specific question. Any particular reason you ask that?" Peter looked at you jokingly. "You didn't flip him off in the street or anything, did you?"
You shook your head. "Nah. Not exactly."
Peter gave you a questioning look as the two of you followed Cap into a large dining room.
You looked around and there you saw every single avenger you'd ever heard of. Hawkeye eating a turkey burger. The Winter Soldier and Falcon seemingly playfully arguing over some tv show. Tony frickin' Stark running his fingers through some little girl's hair. Black Widow sitting at the dinner table having a peaceful conversation with some guy with glasses that you couldn't recognize.
And of course, Thor sitting in a seat facing away from the door, nursing a mug in his hand.
Just like last time, you thought. You sucked in a breath. Fuckkkk. Please don't remember me.
"Hey," Peter whispered. "You're getting really hot right now. You should relax."
"Oh," you said, taking another deep breath. "Thanks."
Tony looked over from where he was sitting. "Well don't just stand there. Introduce yourself, [Y/N]!," he yelled.
And slowly they all turned towards you, even Thor. His eyes met yours and your eyes met his. His face lit up in recognition and immediately all of the words fell out of you as you found yourself running to him.
"I'm SO so sorry okay?!?!? Look, I know I KNOW- believe me I do- that I was SUCH A JERK b-but... you gotta UNDERSTAND okay???? I was only NINE and I was stupid and dumb and would say just about ANYTHING at that age - but I mean you gotta admit that youwerealsokindofajerktoo- BUT I MEAN THAT'S TOTALLY FINE OKAY??? IT HAPPENS. IT'S NATURAL!! But like please PLEASE DON'T SMITE ME Mr. Thor I'm SO SORRY I'll literally do ANYTHING!!"
You were breathless when you finished your frantic apology, staring desperately at the God of Thunder with large 'please don't kill me' eyes.
The rest of the room was silent, everyone either waiting expectantly for what was next to come or silently conversing with their eyes, all basically saying to each other 'what the heck was that'.
Thor stared back at you, his expression unclear.
"Thor, anything to say to that?," Tony called out, having no idea what had just happened but being extremely amused nonetheless.
The long, blond haired man furrowed his brow and slowly placed his mug down on the table in front of him. He looked back at you and smirked.
"Tell him the joke," he said, pointing at Tony.
"What joke?," Natasha asked.
Thor chuckled. "When she was a smaller human, this girl and I met at a diner. She spoke very rudely of my mother. It wasn't until Jane explained to me what a 'your mother joke' is that I fully came to appreciate it."
"Dude, you joked on Thor's mom?!," Peter exclaimed, half-shocked, half-amazed.
Thor looked back at you. "In retrospect, it was quite hilarious."
You stared back, jaw hanging in shock. "Y-you're not gonna kill me- I-i mean, you're not angry?"
He laughed as he pointed towards Tony again. "Do him!"
You looked to Tony who was sitting back in his chair, holding his arms up in a "bring it on" fashion. "Uh...um, your mom's so ugly..she-ah.. she went into a haunted house and came out with a job application..."
Peter gasped. "You said that to THOR?!"
You blushed. "Look, I'm not proud of it either okay?"
"Oh we're gonna get along nicely, kid," Falcon, who you would soon come to know as Sam, snickered.
"So do you actually do anything or are ya just a smartass?," Rhodes quipped, causing you to immediately mumble some choice words under your breath.
Tony nearly cackled. "I'm sorry, what was that?"
"Nothing," you lied.
Peter coughed. "[Y/N], your eyes are kind of glowing."
Bucky looked to Bruce. "I think you're gonna have to work on anger with her or something, bud."
"No wait really, what'd you say?," Tony said, still laughing.
You shook your head, but everyone was staring at you again. Ugh, might as well.
"...your mom's so old I told her to act her age and she died..."

Moved On
“Oh yeah. You’ve already met him and Im going to need my gi- my friend to help me stay calm because I know I’m not going to like him. So get dressed because you can't wear my clothes to her house.” He smirked and added, “even though you definitely pull off the look.” You rolled your eyes and groaned knowing very well you needed to go and help him through the evening for Gemma’s sake. He laughed knowing he won the argument. “I kind of like the friend card.”
You didnt say anything just took off his shirt and tossed it to the floor. Friends? Really? Is that all we are? Do friends do that? What even was that? Why did I even let that happen? Questions flooded through your mind as you were fixing your hair. You had thrown on a pair of leggings and a hoodie, the hoodie Harry had given you because he accidentally shrunk it in the laundry and it no longer fit him. Harry had thrown on a t-shirt and found his pants but he was sitting on the edge of your bed thoughtfully watching you. “What?” you asked turning around to face him.
“Nothing...” he mumbled standing up. Harry had decided to gain an attitude on the way to Gemma’s and you were not a fan of it.
The two of you walked up to Gemma’s door. You were standing slightly behind Harry, your heart racing fast. You were nervous and on top of that you were worried about what Gemma and Mical would think of you being there with Harry and not Tom. Would they be able to tell what just went on with Harry? Would they care? Would they figure it out and tell Tom? What would Tom say? Questions were overtaking your mind and Harry was looking at you concerned. “Sorry...did you say something?” you mumbled looking at back at him.
“I asked if you were ready...” Harry looked at the door and you nodded. He slowly knocked and Gemma answered the door almost immediately.
“Harry tell me how it takes you so long to get here. I called over 30 minutes ago...(y/n) lives 5 minutes away..there is absolutely no excuse.”
“I do have an excuse actually. (y/n) was the one taking forever to get ready.” Gemma looked at you, realizing you were actually there with him.
She smiled and pulled you into a hug. “(y/n)! I’m so glad you're here! Is Tom here too?”
“N-” you were about to answer but Harry cut you off with an eye roll.
“No, why would he be here?”
“Well they are dating...I assumed he would be here too.” Harry shot you a look. You hadn't really had that conversation with him yet and you could tell he was now pissed hearing it from Gemma instead.
“Well he’s not here.” Harry pushed past Gemma without another glance at you and made his way into the house. “Where’s this boy at Gemma. I want to get this over with.”
Gemma looked at you confused and you sighed walking in behind her. “He went to pick up a pizza for everyone..he should be back soon.”
“So then why were you on my ass about being late. He’s not even here”
“Well had you been here 25 minutes ago he would have been.”
“Well I wasnt here then and he's not here now there shouldn't be any judgement on my arrival time if you expect me to-”
“Harry can I talk to you for a minute?” you interuppted not giving him a chance to answer. You pulled his arm and dragged him into the guest bedroom. “What’s the attitude for?”
“Why don't you ask your boyfriend? ” Harry snarled. You took a step back and looked at him. You had no idea what to say. He angrily laughed and turned to walk out.
“I was going to tell you. I-”
“Were you? When? When we were having sex? After? When we got to my sisters house? After you realized you had moved on”
“Okay Harry look- I was going to tell you, it just never came up. I didnt really move on and it’s not like we planned on having sex and Tom only asked me yesterday...I didnt even formally accept-”
“But you were planning on it?”
“Yes.” you squeaked out. He didnt even look just walked out, leaving you alone. Tears threatened at your eyes and you sat on the floor trying to calm yourself. Gemma cautiously walked in and knelt next to you.
“Feels like we've been here before.”
You laughed, shooting snot out of your nose as tears fell down your cheeks. She rubbed your back and you looked over. “I’m sorry I ruined your night.”
“You didn’t, if anyone other than Harry did it was me. I shouldn't have brought up Tom when you and Harry walked in with that look.”
“What look?”
She laughed and wiped a tear, “did you and Harry not have sex before coming here?”
Your face burned red and your mouth dropped. “Wha-”
“(y/n)” she laughed. “Harry was glowing. Literally more confident and happy than I have seen him in months. You were too. I mean you a little less than him but also I’m guessing you were feeling a little torn?”
You nodded and wiped your nose. “I did what Harry did to me...I cheated on Tom and and I didnt even regret it.”
Gemma nodded and smiled, “That’s because your heart has always belonged to Harry. It didnt feel like cheating right? It felt natural like it was supposed to be there.”
You nodded and thought about it. Harry was always the one. You could fake your feelings for Tom all you wanted but it never felt the way being with Harry did. You loved Tom like a brother. Harry was the one you wanted to have kids with. You never really connected the dots until now. You had been so mad at Harry for breaking your trust but you had never stopped loving him. You looked at Gemma. “What do I do?”
“I think the best thing is to let him calm down and then try explaining everything...”
You nodded and sadly smiled. “I’m going to go. I need to talk to Tom about everything anyways and I don't want to be the one ruining your evening while Harry tries to get to know Mical.”
“Sure you don't want to stay for the drama?”
You laughed, “I think I would cause more drama than watching it.”
She smiled, “Something tells me that may be the case right now.” You stood up and took a deep breath.
“Thanks Gem, as always you know just what to say.” You hugged her before walking to the door. You opened it revealing a smiling Mical holding a large pizza.
“(y/n) what a lovely surprise!”
“Hi Mical!” you smiled warmly. Harry who was lounging on the couch had wandered into the door frame and was watching everything unfold.
“Are you leaving already?” Mical asked confused.
“Yeah, uh” you sniffled and gave a small smile. “I was actually on my way out to Tom’s.”
“Ah lovely! Would you care for a slice of pizza first?”
“No- thank you though...I really should be leaving.” you stepped out the door and turned around looking at Gemma. “Thanks Gem.” you said with a nod.
“Anytime love, you know that.” Your eyes caught Harry’s one last time, they burning into yours as Gemma closed the door. You took a deep breath and jumped in the car.
You arrived at Tom’s late. You didnt even know if he was home or awake. You knocked on the door and his roommate opened with a surprised look. “(y/n).”
“Hey, sorry its late is Tom home?”
“Uh yeah come on in, Tom!” he yelled. Tom came walking down the stairs with a smile.
“(y/n)!” he hugged you tightly and smiled. “What are you doing here?”
“I just wanted to talk to you..” you had tears in your eyes and Tom’s expression changed.
“Are you okay?” he asked ushering you to the couch. “Do you want me to make tea?”
“No-no. Thats okay really I’m okay.” you sat down and wiped your eyes. “I uh I just wanted to say- to say I’m sorry.”
“Sorry? What for?”
“Tom, youre so amazing. Youre talented, nice, caring, and not bad to look at either..” you laughed and looked into his eyes. “But-”
“But I’m not Harry Styles.” he finished. You looked surprised. You looked at him and slowly nodded slightly confused. He sighed and looked at you sadly. “I kinda guessed that was coming..you react so much differently to him than to me. I mean tonight when he got here the whole mood shifted. Youre almost like drawn to him. I’ve never seen it before. I wish it was you and I but a part of me knew I could never replace that, and that's okay..”
You were crying now. He was rubbing your back. “I’m sorry Tom. I really do love you its just- its not the same with Harry. I wish you were the one I had these feelings for. It would make everything so much easier.”
“Love is never easy.” he joked.
You nodded and he hugged you tightly. “(y/n) you need to tell Harry how you feel. You need to explain it. You also can tell him if he hurts you again, he will have to deal with me, your neighborhood SpiderMan.”
You laughed. “We can still be friends right?” He grinned and held your hand.
“Of course, we still have to finish the SpiderMan movies.”
You hugged him and stood up. “Thank you. You really are amazing Tom. Youre going to make a girl really happy.”
“I hope so, maybe when I have more time.”
He walked you to the door and kissed your cheek. “Bye Tom.”
“Bye (y/n). Good luck, and tell him how you feel.”
“I will...eventually.” He smiled one more time before closing the door.
You took a deep breath. That went way better than you had expected. You decided to go home. After showering and changing clothes you climbed into bed. You wanted to call Harry, but you didnt want to interrupt his evening with Gemma and Mical. You opened a text to him and attempted a few different things before throwing your phone at the foot of the bed. You decided it was better to let him cool off all together so you turned on Netflix and started watching Outerbanks. Before you knew it you were sucked in, watching almost 3 episodes in a row. You heard a noise downstairs at your door and froze hoping you had locked the door. What if someone was looking to kill you because you had your dads compass... Ridiculous, yes but the thought crossed your mind. Eventually the noise went away but you still grabbed your phone in case you needed to call 911 at some point in the night. You decided you had enough murder mystery for the night and turned off the tv, leaving only the light of your phone in the dark. Harry was still on your mind. You wanted him to not be mad at you for so long. You wanted to tell him everything. You decided against your earlier judgement and texted him. *Are you still mad at me*
You turned off the phone and waited, your heart pounding. Every two seconds you checked for an answer, disappointed there wasnt one. You watched the read receipt come on and got anxious for the response you saw he was typing. But then the text bubbles disappeared. You waited another minute for the text but soon realized he was ignoring you. Your heart dropped into your stomach and you turned off the phone. Clearly he was still mad at you. You had drifted into an uncomfortable sleep, tossing and turning all night.
In the morning you woke up feeling exhausted. You turned and opened your eyes, surprised to find Harry sleeping in the chair across from you. You jumped a little bit and your heart actually felt like it had stopped.”Harry?” you mumbled, sleep still in your voice.
He shifted, opening his eyes and brushing the hair back form his face. He looked at you, his face red.
“What are you doing? How did you-”
“You left your door unlocked.” you could hear the sleep in his voice, it made it 10x deeper. “I needed to see you, to talk to you...but you were sleeping and you looked so sweet I just couldn't wake you.”
“Harry-”
“No, stop.” He stood up and walked over, sitting on the bed next to you. “I’m sorry. I’m sorry for overreacting last night. I’m sorry for taking my frustration out on you. Thats not how a friend treats another friend and we aren't anything more than friends so I had no place to talk.”
“No, Harry.”
“(y/n) just accept my apology. I don't want to lose you...you're a- you're a great friend.” He swallowed and looked at you. You sat up, running your finger over his cheek.
“I love you.” he leaned into your hand and smiled.
“So you still want to be friends?”
“No.” you looked at him and his head fell with a sad expression.
“I understand.” He stood up and began walking you. You realized what he was thinking. You jumped out of bed and ran to him, pulling his wrist towards you.
“Harry. I don't want to be your friend because I want us back.” He stopped, slowly turning to face you.
“You want us back?”
“Yes. I want you and me. I want us to go back to how things were before. I want to love you the way I did before. I want to kiss you whenever I have the chance. I want us to be forever.”
Harry didn't even say anything, he just smiled and kissed you. You reached your arms up around his neck and he lifted you up. Your lips never left his and he grinned whispering, “I love you.”
“I love you.” you kissed him back, drowning in the feeling of his love.
“So Tom?”
“Is out of the picture.”
“And us?”
“We are whatever you want us to be.”
“I want us to get married.” you stopped and looked at him. His green eyes were twinkling.
“What?”
“I want us to get married.”
You smiled and kissed him again. “Okay.” All of your conflicted feelings had disappeared and a feeling of content had replaced them. You knew Harry would always be the one and there was nothing more you wanted than to spend the rest of your life with him. You knew your feelings would never fade. That much had been proved in the last few months.
He smiled, kissing you again. “Okay.”

In Case You Don’t Live Forever - Chapter four
Pairing: Peter Parker x Venom!Reader
Warnings: cancer, sexual assault
Chapters 1 2 3
Not to be dramatic, but that dinner with Peter and May added twenty years to my lifespan. We laughed and talked all evening. After dessert, Peter walked me to my room like a proper gentleman.
“You really don’t have to walk me home. I live right across that hall.” I teased. I was glad he did though. I wanted to spend every minute I could with him. I never wanted this night to end.
“I know, but I wanted to make sure you got in okay. You never know what dangers can be lurking in a hallway. Henry could’ve been around here and you and your feet would’ve been defenseless. You think I could live with myself if something happened to you?” Peter reasoned. I laughed loudly and unlocked my door. I took my time unlocking, partially to extend our time together and partially to hide my massive blush.
“Thanks for dinner, Parker. I had a good time.” I said slowly. Was a flirting? Maybe a little. Peter licked his lips and rubbed his neck.
“I had a moderately alright time.” He said nonchalantly. I laughed and shoved him a little.
“Fine. I had an amazing time. We should do this again.” He said. The hope in his eyes knocked me out.
“Definitely. But at my place next time.” I said.
“Deal.” He stood there for a moment, just staring at me. I stared back. I could see pale freckles on his nose and around his eyes that I hadn’t noticed before. The longer you look at Peter, the better he got.
“Goodnight, Y/N.” Peter said finally. I sighed. Well I’ll be damned. Parting really is such sweet sorrow.
“Goodnight Peter.” I answered. We gave each other one more giggly smile before I closed the door, completely missing the victory dance Peter did in the hallway.
“Alright. You ate. Now it’s my turn. Let’s go eat some assholes.” Venom cheered. I grimaced.
“You couldn’t have phrased that in a worse way.” I commented.
“I mean, let’s go eat some men who are assholes.” Venom corrected herself.
“Alright alright. Let’s go. But, they have to be a total asshole. We can’t just eat a dick.” I said.
“And you think what I said was bad? Listen to yourself.” Venom retorted. I rolled my eyes.
“I heard it. I meant we have to eat someone who is really, really bad. Not just some random jerk.” I defended.
“I think what you really meant is the only dick you want to eat is Peters.” Venom snickered. I stopped in my tracks.
“VENOM!” I screamed. I could not believe the mouth on this girl.
“I’m only kidding. Let’s go. Your liver is starting to look really, really juicy.” Venom warned. With that, we climbed out the window and prowled the streets of New York.
It wasn’t long before we found a man harassing a woman. They were both tipsy, but she seemed drunker than he was. He kept putting his hands on her, despite her protests. Every time she tried to push him away, he’d only try harder.
“Come on baby.” He purred. She shoved him and stumbled along.
“Leave me alone. I don’t want you.” The woman slurred.
“Yes you do. You wouldn’t have worn that tight dress if you didn’t.” The man said. Ah yes, logic. He grabbed her butt and she smacked him. He angrily pushed her against a wall and covered her mouth.
“Asshole?” Venom asked.
“Asshole.” I confirmed. Venom and I did our usual tactic. I’d start off as me and kindly ask the gentleman to leave the lady alone. When all else fails, we become Venom and eat the bad guy. Venom and I weren’t cold blooded killers. If a problem could be solved with words, we would do it that way. But there are a lot of bad men on the streets who don’t take no for an answer. And we catch bad men.
We tore the man away from the lady. She ran away screaming when she saw us as Venom. Most people do. At least she was safe. The man on the other hand suddenly lost his tough guy stamina and resulted to begging for his life.
“Should we eat them honey?” Venom asked me, loud enough for the man to hear. We did that little thing we do when half our face is Venom and half our face is me. People get a real kick out of it.
“No. They probably taste like shit.” I answered. The man cowered away from us, begging us to leave.
“I’m sorry. I’m so sorry. I won’t do it again.” He pleaded.
“I never much liked the taste of perverts.” I said again.
“Me either. Plus, he’s so puny. He’s probably disgusting.” Venom agreed. We were dragging the man along. He was definitely getting eaten, no doubt about it. At least, there was no doubt, up until we heard the sound of feet landing on the pavement behind us.
“Hey, big guy, didn’t anyone ever tell you that people are friends, not food?” A young, muffled voice said from behind us. We turned around and saw a man dressed in a red and blue…suit? He had on a mask with pointed white eyes with black rims. To top it all off, he had a spider symbol on his chest. He looked ridiculous. And that’s coming from a seven foot goo monster from outer space.
We somewhat recognized him. Before I moved to San Francisco, there was talk about a so called “Spider-Man” roaming the streets of New York. As a real reporter, I didn’t pay attention to trifling and trivial news reports like men dressed in costumes who returned lost bikes. I focused on real stories. But the man standing in front of us was different than the Spider-Man I once knew. The old one wore baggier, softer clothes. Pajamas, almost. This guy had on a skintight body suit. It was like the old costume, but upgraded.
Spider-Mans eyes grew comically wide when we turned around.
“What are you?” He asked. We could hear the terror in his voice. Under his mask, he was probably trembling. He sounded so young and terrified. It filled our heart with joy. After all, this was our very favorite question.
“We…are venom.” We answered. Never gets old.
Spider-Man took a step back. His legs shook slightly. The man took this as an opportunity to get up and run. We quickly ran after him, but we were suddenly covered in a sticky white substance. It wrapped around our legs and we fell to the ground. Spider-Man ran up to us, wiping his hands on his suit. He was out of breath. From the floor, we could see the man getting away. Anger coursed through our body.
“I can’t take credit for that. I got that from this really old movie, The Empire Strikes back. It works every time.” Spider-Man huffed. We had enough of this. We easily broke out of the sticky stuff and grabbed the unsuspecting Spider-Man by the throat. We lifted him up by his neck and stared into his covered eyes. We could hear the sounds of him choking through his mask. Now, we weren’t a monster. But we weren’t a superhero either. This stupid kid had let an attempted rapist get away. We could only hope we scared him enough not to do it again. Spider-Man had managed to thoroughly piss us off. And now, he was gonna pay.
“You let him go.” We growled. Spider-Man hit the hand around his throat in an attempt to break free. We laughed. His feet were dangling off the ground. He was defenseless.
“You can’t eat people.” He choked out. He was still struggling to break free.
“We can and we will. Since you let our dinner get away, looks like you’ll have to take his place. I hope you taste better than you look, Spiderman.” We gave him our devilishly grin.
“Please don’t eat me. I’m just a kid.” Spider-Man begged. Venom tried to keep going, but I pulled back.
“Venom, put him down. We can find someone else. We can’t eat this guy. He’s too young.” I said calmly. I prayed Venom would listen. Spider-Man was right. He was just a kid. He had pissed us off, but that didn’t mean he had to die.
“I don’t want anyone else. I want him”. Venom answered. Spider-Man looked confused, seeing as he could only hear Venoms part of the conversation.
“Put him down. His suit probably tastes terrible anyway. Let’s go find someone else. How about we go find a smoker to eat? You know how much you love to eat smokers.” I argued.
“They taste like barbecue.” Venom replied. I could feel her mouth watering. Spider-Man was completely lost at this point.
“Let’s go. He’s not worth it.” I said.
“Fine.” Venom threw Spider-Man against a wall. Spider-Man began to cough and clutch his throat. Venom stormed over to him and grabbed his head, making him look at us.
“If you ever bother us again, we are going to eat both of your arms, then both of your legs, and then we are going to eat your face. Do you understand?” We asked.
“We?” was all Spider-Man could get out.
“We. Me and my girl. She saved your life tonight. Don’t except it to happen again. Next time, you’re dead.” Venom warned. With that, we ran away into the night, leaving Spider-Man behind.
After eating a man who we saw steal money out of multiple homeless mens cups, we climbed up my apartment building and sat on the ledge of the roof. The sun was starting to rise and Venom and I wanted to watch. I transformed back into myself and watched as the sun made its way up the horizon.
“What are you doing up here?” I heard a familiar Queens accent from behind me. I smiled immediately and turned around.
“Are you stalking me Parker?” I asked. A bashful smile broke across his face. He looked ethereal in the early morning sunshine. I bit my tongue to keep from giggling. He was too damn cute.
“You’ve got it the wrong way around. I lived here first. This had been my spot for years now. You’re the one stalking me.” Peter remarked. His voice sounded horse, like he had strained it. He moved slowly, almost as if he was in pain. He swung his legs over the ledge and took a seat next to me. Our thighs just barely touched, but enough to send sparks though my body.
“Is this really your spot? I’ll leave if you want.” I said. I didn’t want to impose. Peter put his hand on my shoulder to keep me from getting up.
“It’s our spot now.” He said matter of factly. The sun light up his profile. I could see how tired his eyes were. I wondered what late night adventures kept Peter Parker awake. Peter stared out into the New York City skyline and sighed with content. A gentle breeze blew his brown locks and ruffled our clothing. Everything was quiet. Everything was…good.
“Hey, are you an orphan?” I blurted. I’m not even kidding, I almost jumped off the roof right there. And I probably should’ve. No, actually, Peter should’ve pushed me off. It’s what I deserved. Who the HELL asks someone you just met that question? Who asks that question at all? Does anyone even use the term “orphan” anymore? Is this Annie? All these questions swarmed through my head as my cheeks managed to burn the brightest shade of red they ever had. Peter snapped his head to me and tried to say something but I cut him off.
“I only ask because…well I am. An orphan, I mean. And I saw the pictures in your apartment with the candle and you kinda have that…orphan look to you. No offense! It’s not a bad thing either. I probably have the same look. Plus, you live with your aunt and I didn’t see anyone else come home. Of course, maybe they just weren’t home the one night I was over. Not that it’s any of my business anyway. I’m sorry I asked. It was a dumb, dumb question and I’m a dumb, dumb person and I-“ My excessive rambling was cut off my a soft chuckles on Peters part. I looked at him confused. It wasn’t the response I expected.
“You’re not dumb. You took down Carlton Drake at 19 years old with no help. I wouldn’t call that person dumb. I’d call her brave, smart, even heroic. And all the best heroes are orphans. So to answer your question…there was a question in there somewhere right? I think so. Yes, I am an orphan. I live with my Aunt May. I used to live with my Uncle Ben too but he passed away.” Peter explained. I covered my face with my hands.
“Your uncle was Ben Parker. I should’ve known. May mentioned his name at dinner. I wrote an article on him when it happened since I was still living here. All my friends and I created a club in school to protest the lack of gun regulation in America after that. I’m so stupid. I should’ve known. I’m so sorry, Peter.” I said softly. Peter gave me a soft smile.
“I really appreciate you doing that. I’m really upset over the lack of gun regulation too.” He was quiet for a moment. “My Uncle Ben used to write too. He was always trying to get me to write for the school newspaper. It wasn’t my thing though. I prefer taking pictures and videos. You’re a really good writer, Y/N. My Uncle Ben would’ve loved you.” Peter said earnestly. My eyes almost filled with tears. I smiled at Peter and scooted closer to him.
“Thank you for saying that. I bet I would’ve loved him too.” I said. Peter looked down at his hands which were dangerously close to mine. I wasn’t bold enough to hold his hand, though I desperately wanted to. Instead, I put my head on his shoulder and looked out at the sunrise. It was a simple, innocent gesture. He and I were both awkward and knew it. It was the safest thing I could do without something going terribly wrong. Peter rested his head on top of mine and sighed. It was a happy sigh. We sat in comfortable silence for a while.
“I didn’t know you were an orphan.” He said softly, not wanting to disturb the peace. I nodded, still nestled in his neck.
“My mom died giving birth to me. She had a brain tumor and had to go off of chemo when she found out she was pregnant with me. Her body became too weak and they had to do an emergency C-section. I survived, but she didn’t.” I looked down at my hands and played with my fingernails. I felt a familiar lump on my throat.
“She never even got to hold me.” I choked. My dad told me that once. It made me sad every time I thought about it. My poor mother. I can’t even imagine. You carry a baby for nine months and don’t even get to hold her. And every worse, you die and never get to see her. Never get to name her, hug her, watch her grow.
“I’m sorry Y/N.” Peter whispered. He gingerly laced his fingers with mine. I watched as he did it and didn’t try to stop him.
“It’s weird. I never knew her, but I miss her everyday. I wish we could’ve had a conversation. Just one would be enough. My sister used to tell me the most amazing stories about her. I felt so guilty for taking her away from my sister. I’ve felt guilty for 19 years.” I said. My mom wasn’t something I often talked about. It was too painful to relive the past. I hadn’t even told Andy the full story. But I felt safe with Peter. I felt like I could tell him my whole life story.
“You don’t have to have known her to miss her. I bet she misses you too and she never met you either.” Peter said. I smiled at his kind words.
“My parents died in a plane crash when I was nine. My Aunt May and Uncle Ben raised me ever since. They never told me the full story though, of the crash I mean. After everything that’s happened to May, I don’t think I can ever ask. I wish I knew though. I wish I could ask them myself.” Peter confessed. I appreciated him opening up to me more than words could say.
“What were their names?” I asked. Peter smiled proudly.
“Richard And Mary. Richard and Mary Parker.” He answered. I smiled against his chest.
“That was my sisters name.” I said.
“Was?” He asked.
“She died two years ago. She had the same brain tumor my mother had. It nearly killed me to lose her. She was my best friend. She still is. I call her sometimes when I need help and it always clears my head.” I confessed. I had never told anyone that before. Peter was drawing secrets out of me without even trying.
“I do that too. Well, kind of. I write my parents letters all the time. I put them in an envelope and everything. Then I put them in a box in my closet. I like to think the read them.” Peter said.
“I bet they do.” I replied.
I rubbed small circles into Peters hand with my thumb. He squeezed my hand gently. In that moment, I could’ve sworn he was mine. Like we were an actual couple that had been through hell and back together. Like I’d know him all my life. Peter looked me in the eyes and for the first time, I felt like someone really saw me. The real me. Not the orphan me, or the ex-fiancée me. Not even the venom me. He saw Y/N L/N, and he didn’t turn away. His brown eyes stared right down into my soul. I felt insecure suddenly. I knew my soul wasn’t a pretty place to see. Certainly not pretty enough for Peter Parker. But Peter didn’t seem to mind. I’m pretty sure he set up a camp in my heart right then and there. I got this feeling all the sudden. This feeling that told me Peter and I were meant to meet. That we were always meant to be in each other’s lives. To protect and love each other, like real people do. I swear I’ve always known him. We just met, but I’ve known him. And he’s known me. Peter didn’t feel like a stranger. He wasn’t someone I met on accident. He and I were destined to be. Just be. No matter what we were. This rooftop didn’t feel like a place I’d never been before. This rooftop felt like home. And Peter made it feel that way. Or maybe it wasn’t the rooftop that felt like home, it was just Peter. My cheeks burned up when I realized what was happening. My heart fluttered and my lungs felt like they were in fire. I knew it. Every fiber of my being knew it. All my senses came alive at once and in that moment, on that rooftop, my heart looked into Peters and said those two words.

“You have such nice and well behaved kids, Kim,” your boss said to your father, Jin, your brother and you all smiling and bowing, “You raised them well.”
You three acted like you were the most wonderful kids a father could ask for.
But once you were in the car back home? You revealed your true colors.
“No, give me..- Dad! Jin stole my headphones again!”
“They're my headphones! You stole them from me first!” Jin argued, “And besides, they look better on me anyways.”
Your father sighed, trying to ignore the ruckus that was going on in the back because he knew it would pass in a few minutes anyways.
It was always like this between you two, has been ever since you were born.
You bickered, you fought, you pulled the hair of the other one, but in the end you still loved each other unconditionally.
In the end you fell asleep against Jin's shoulder, your older brother putting a blanket over the both of you, since Jin seemed to be asleep as well from the way he was almost drooling.
“We should record this and show them how close they are when they're asleep,” your brother chuckled, to which your father could only nod and smile as well.

“Happy birthday, son,” your parents had bought Yoongi weird stuff that you knew he would never use. They've been doing this ever since he was a kid, because they thought they might be able to make him be interested in other things than music.
As always, Yoongi said thank you and was kind, but you knew deep down that he just wanted to be left alone again.
“Okay, okay, I'm the last one,” you gave him your present with a grin, “It's something you and I talked about a few weeks ago.. something you really wanted.”
The only thing he could remember was equipment for his own studio that he was trying to assemble.
“You didn't..-” he quickly unwrapped it, only to find..- “A doll? A fucking.. Annabelle doll?”
“Yeah, so it'll remind you of her when she's gone,” your other brother laughed, but that stopped when you threw a pillow against his head. Hard.
And while you and him started fighting and your parents desperately tried to get you two to stop before one could kill the other, Yoongi returned to his room with slight disappointment.
He had thought you might have remembered him saying it..
But as he walked into his bedroom he found that same item lying on his desk with a note: “I know mom and dad don't like it when you buy new stuff for your studio so I didn't want them to see it. Put it to good use, brother. You're the best thing this family can show off. I'm proud of you. Always.”
A big smile spread across his face.
“Thank you,” he whispered.
jung hoseok
“Mom and dad told me you don't want to eat,” Hoseok walked into your bedroom with two cups of Ramen, “So I thought we could eat Junk Food and you could tell me what's going on.”
You wiped away your tears with your sleeve and slid to the edge of the bed, immediately wrapping your arms around his arm to hug his side.
“He's not interested in me.. he told one of his friends who told one of my friends that he's interested in someone else.”
Hoseok should have known that this was about a guy.
He sighed deeply and put the cups down, before wrapping an arm around you, “(Y/N), guys who you need to chase after are not guys that are worth it. You are kind, smart, beautiful and you don't need to go after a guy that clearly doesn't see any of that. You deserve better than that..”
“But all of my friends have boyfriends or girlfriends.. I'm the only one who doesn't.”
“So what? You're still young and even if you never have a boyfriend or girlfriend, that's okay too. You do not need a partner to be happy, sweetheart. You're enough of a person to love yourself and be happy with yourself. And let's be real.. with me as a brother, you have your hands full anyways.”
That made you choke out a laugh, cuddle closer into his side and let out a sigh, because you knew he was right.. he was always right.
kim namjoon
“This is so boring,” you whined, your parents shushing you since they wanted to listen to what the tour guide had to say.
Namjoon laughed, unfolding the map in his hands and walking closer to you.
“Want me to give you a tour? I can explain it all to you too.”
“Oh god, yes please,” you wrapped your hands around his arm, ready for your smart brother to enlighten you in a positive way, “Tell me something interesting.”
“Well, someone died here a few years ago from a terrible, terrible curse..”
You narrowed your eyes at him and cocked your head to the side, “Your horror stories scared me when I was five, Namjoon. Not anymore.”
“Are you sure?” your sister snuck up on you and pinched your sides which made you scream and jump, your parents shushing you once again.
“Oh, I hate you! I hate you both! Mom, Dad! They're being mean to me again!” you ran up to your parents, your mother scolding you for being so loud, but Namjoon and your sister just chuckled.
“She'll never grow up, right?” your sister asked.
“Not really. She’ll always stay our little angel,” Namjoon said with a fond smile.
park jimin
“Listen, Jimin,” you opened the door without knocking, finding him sweating, standing in the middle of the room, “I love you and I support you with your dreams, but if you don't turn that fucking music down, I will literally kill you.”
“The competition is in two months, (Y/N). I need to practice.”
“You've been practicing for three months straight. And you're not the only one who needs to do work in this household, I have homework to do as well.”
“No you don't, I know you finished earlier today,” he wiped off his sweat with a towel, “You just want to watch Spiderman again.”
“Listen to me, Tom Holland is superior, okay?!” you pointed your finger at him, but Jimin just laughed and walked over to you, hugging you despite your protest.
“Ew, you're disgusting, get away from me.”
“I love you, sis. And don't worry, I'll take a shower and get some rest for today, okay?”
“Fine,” you watched him walk towards the bathroom and right before he entered you asked: “Want me to pause the movie?”
“You know I do.”
You grinned from ear to ear, sprinting back into your bedroom to wait for your brother.
kim taehyung
You were on family vacation, your parents already asleep, the only ones up being you and Taehyung, since your brother and sister had already fallen asleep on the couch next to you.
But you didn't dare to sleep.
Because that horror movie that was on would keep you awake for the next ten years.
“You should have said you didn't want to watch it, (Y/N),” Taehyung chuckled as he wrapped his arm around you to give you comfort.
“Then they would have made fun of me,” you poked your sister's side with your foot who just snorted once and then made herself more comfortable.
“But they're asleep now. We can watch a Disney movie if you want..”
“No, it's okay,” you tried to stay strong and be brave, but those jump scares were getting the best of you and without taking no for an answer, Tae just switched the movie to a Disney one.
And when he found you smiling happily a few minutes later, he knew he had made the right decision.
“Never change, (Y/N),” he kissed the top of your head.
jeon jeongguk
“I'll kill you for this, (Y/N).”
Your parents were out to have their date night, your older brother staying at a friends' place, so it was only Jeongguk and you. And while your parents had specifically told you NOT to go out and do anything stupid, that's exactly what you had been doing.
There was a festival in town and you were dying for some cotton candy and roller coasters. And Jeongguk would rather be in trouble than let you go there on your own.
However, now that you were on your way back, he was getting nervous, thinking his parents were probably already back home and would notice you were gone.
“Stop being such a pussy and just hurry up if you want to be home before mom and dad,” you weren't running, but you were walking fast, your brother right beside you.
“We could have played video games, could have ordered food, but no, Ms. 'I want to get in trouble' had to sneak out of the house in the middle of the night.”
“I didn't ask you to follow me, Kookie, you did that all by yourself.”
“Well, what the hell was I supposed to do, huh? You were clearly..-”
But as you arrived at the front door, your parents were already standing there, both of their arms crossed in front of their chests with disapproving looks on their faces.
And then you had the audacity to point at your brother and say with a pout, “It was Jeongguk's idea.”
“You little..-”

minor inconvenience
Pairing: Peter Parker X F!Reader
Request: Combined @astrospideys & @spideypeach ‘s milestone celebration prompt (”a kiss. for good luck.”) with an anon request! “Hello dear! If you don’t mind can you write about peter and his childhood bestfriend being more than friend, but Peter is in dilema because he realized he wanted more but he doesn’t want to put the reader in danger because he’s spiderman. You can decide whether the reader knows Peter is spiderman or not. Thanks a lot!”
A/N: I’m truly sorry to everyone that this is so late, school’s been kicking my ass. However, I’m kind of proud of this one so I hope you enjoy! :)
Warnings: Fluff.
Word Count: 2k
---
Peter Parker wasn’t one to get distracted during school. In fact, he prides himself on being a great student; one who rarely failed tests. However, he’s noticed that his mind starts to wander whenever he’s around Y/N L/N. They’ve known each other since they were in the first grade and have practically been attached at the hip. Their friendship grew stronger as the years progressed, but Peter couldn’t help but yearn for more.
He remembers May teasing him about how close they were ever since they started to hang out. He’d constantly deny her claims by calling her ‘just a friend,’ but do friends feel their heart leap at the mere sight of the other? Peter’s been stuck in his own thoughts, thoughts of her, for the past few months trying to convince himself that it wasn’t a crush. However, his heart said otherwise.
He wanted to confess his feelings for her so badly, but there was a minor inconvenience to his idea. Y/N had no idea that he was Spider-Man. Despite telling each other everything, he failed to mention his alter ego. It’s not like he wanted to hide it, he just didn’t want to endanger her.
So with that, the bell rang as Peter headed out the door and to his locker. “Parker!” a voice called out. He turned his head and found the girl of his dreams stepping towards him. Her eyes seemed to sparkle, vibrance and sunshine practically radiating off of her. “We’re still on for tonight? Your place?”
“I don’t know, I was thinking of going to Delmar’s,” he trailed off, jokingly. She feigned a pout, crossing her arms. “Rude. To think I was going to bring you some gummy worms-”
“Hm, I guess that sweetens the deal.” Y/N rolled her eyes at the pun, “What? Is my own presence not enough for you?” It is. Peter’s mind went foggy, trying to recover from his thoughts. “I’m joking! Now get to class, I’ll see you later.” She nodded, “I’ll let Ned know. Later, nerd.” Y/N turned before disappearing into the midst of students and left Peter with a lovestruck look. He had completely forgotten Ned would be joining them.
---
“Hey, you know how we’re studying tonight with Y/N?” Peter asked, poking at the tray of food in front of him. Ned nodded, taking a sip of water. “You mean like we always do every Thursday?”
“Well yeah, but this time it’s different. Would it be able to be just me and her tonight?”
Ned quirked a brow, “Why? Wait a minute,” he gasped “are you finally dating? Why didn’t you tell me earlier?” Peter’s eyes bulged out his head, frantically shaking his head before hushing his friend who may have been a bit too loud. “Because it hasn’t happened yet! I was kind of trying to make that happen tonight.”
“No worries, I got you. I’ll let her know that something came up. But you owe me.”
“Anything!”
“Help me rebuild the death star.” Peter shrugged, that wasn’t too bad.
“Wait rebuild?!”
---
The minute Peter got home, he ran to his room. He took in the sight of opened drawers and papers strewn across his desk. He glanced at his watch. 5 PM. She’d be here by 7. He huffed, knowing that he had a lot of work to do.
---
May set her purse down by the couch and slipped off her shoes. “Peter, I’m home!” Silence. At first she didn’t think anything of it, before seeing that the living room was in pristine condition as if it was a hotel. “Peter?” She opened the door to his room that was now organized; every single item had its place. “I’m not complaining, but is there something going on?” Peter turned from the mirror and to his confused Aunt, “Y/N is coming over.”
“She always does, but this cleaning thing is pretty foreign for you.” Then it all clicked in her head. “Are you finally going to ask her out?” Peter’s eyes wandered to the wall, still extremely focused on adding the right amount of gel to his dark locks. “What no it’s not like that,” he turned to his Aunt “but if I was going to ask her out...does my hair look okay?”
---
His phone buzzed, and he saw a notification from Y/N.
On my way! :) Attached was a photo of her holding the large bag of gummy worms to her head. He smiled to himself, that was definitely her new contact photo. Right as he locked his phone, he got a call. “Requiring back up! Robbery three blocks away-” Damn it. He let out a sigh, but slipped his suit on. “May tell Y/N that I’m going to be a little late!”
“You haven’t told her that you’re Spider-Man yet?”
“No! I just- it’s complicated. I gotta go!”
---
Y/N knocked on the apartment door to reveal Peter’s Aunt. She smiled, welcoming her in. “Hey, Y/N! Peter said that he’d be running late but feel free to make yourself at home. I have a few errands to run, so you’re in charge!” Y/N shot her a thumbs up. “Don’t worry, Peter running late isn’t anything new anymore.Thank you, May!” She breezed out the door and Y/N set her things down in Peter’s room. “Wait a minute.” Peter’s room was actually neat?
In all ten years of knowing him, he had never been one to tidy up. Not that he was a slob, he just lived in organized chaos. Without the clutter on his shelves, she could finally see the photos in the picture frames. There were a few of him and Tony, courtesy of the Stark Internship, one with Ned, an older photo with May, but one stood out the most.
A photo of her with Peter during their freshman homecoming. Neither of them had a date, and May thought it would be cute for the two of them to go together. Little did he know, that was the day Y/N started to fall for Peter Parker. Sure she had always loved him platonically, but something changed in high school. His chocolate eyes were always gentle and the way his brows furrowed whenever he concentrated was enough to make her swoon. The only thing stopping her from admitting her feelings was the reason that she was sure he didn’t feel the same. Not only that, but what if it made things awkward? So she compromised, keeping her feelings to herself.
Minutes turned into hours and Peter still wasn’t back yet. It was already 10, and Y/N decided to make herself comfortable. Surely he wouldn’t mind if she borrowed one of his sweatshirts?
---
Peter slowly opened his window, before jumping into his room. For some reason, everyone decided to commit crimes at the same time. He froze, seeing Y/N lying in his bed sleeping. He frowned, feeling guilty that he left her all alone. Peter scrambled for his clothes and looked around. Now where was the sweatshirt he left out?
“What the hell?” he heard a groggy voice call out. Y/N was now wide awake, staring back at him. A spandex suit clung to his legs and his face paled.
“Okay-”
“I knew it! So you are Spider-Man!” she exclaimed in glee.
“No- wait you knew?”
“Well I thought you were and I asked Ned, but he said no very unconvincingly. So there’s that.” Of course she knew.
“I’m sorry for ditching you, wait is that my sweater?” He smiled to himself, and winced before clutching his side. Y/N choked, but noticed that he was in pain. “Yes, but I don’t think that matters right now. You’re literally bleeding and oh-” Past what just happened, she noticed that he was shirtless. Her eyes lingered longer than they should have, before dragging him to the bathroom to find rubbing alcohol.
The wound burned, but the mere sight of her seemed to dull the pain. “You know this reminds me an awful lot about the first time we met.”
Peter sat down on the hardtop at school, with a small lego set in front of him. He had just watched his first Star Wars movie with his Uncle Ben last week, and ever since then he had been enamored by each of the characters and spaceships. For his birthday, he got a small tie fighter lego set and he brought it to school so he could assemble it during recess. He didn’t have many friends, but he was okay with that. A fellow group of first graders approached him and snickered, “Where are the rest of your friends? Oh wait, you don’t have any!” followed by giggles. He ignored them, it wasn’t anything new after all.
“I’m talking to you, dork!” The kid in front of him let out a yell before letting his small foot crush the legos underneath. “No!” Peter whimpered. The pack of bullies started to laugh even harder before they heard a high pitched voice yell. “Stop it!” A little girl with pigtails stomped towards them, “You’re not being nice! Leave him alone!” The blonde kid scoffed, “What? Are you friends with this dork?” She stood in front of a frowning Peter and crossed her little arms, “He’s not a dork! He’s my friend! Go or I’m telling the teacher!” At that, they all scrambled. The little girl turned back to Peter who sniffled. “Hey, I’m Y/N! Can I help you build your spaceship?” Y/N smiled wide, showing off her missing front teeth. Peter wiped away his tears with his sleeve, “Okay, do you watch Star Wars?”
“Yes! It’s my favorite! Do you want to be friends?”
“Yeah.”
Both of them were brought back to reality, a smile dancing upon their faces as they remembered what had happened years ago. “You were cute back then.” Y/N smirked, “Are you saying that I’m not cute anymore?” Peter tensed up. Uh oh. “No, not at all! You’re not cute,” her face fell “That’s not what I- You’re very pretty.” He dug himself in a deep hole. “Well thank you, Parker-”
“You’re also really nice, and funny, and smart. You’re a great person, Y/N.” He huffed out. Now or never, right? On the other hand, Y/N looked down, trying to hide the child-like grin on her face. “I wasn’t aware that it was compliment time-”
“I think I like you. Well not think, I know I like you. I have for a while.” He felt her touch slowly slip away. Great, he thought, you screwed it up. “Did I make you uncomfortable? I’m sorry-” Y/N got up to quickly press her lips to his. It was short, but he could feel the passion and intensity.
“You talk too much.” Their heartbeats echoed in their ears.
“Wait so you like me?” She nodded, a blissful smile on her face. “For the longest time, I just thought you didn’t feel the same way.”
“I didn’t say anything because I didn’t want you to get hurt because of my job.” He stated, looking into her eyes. “That’s a risk I’m okay with taking.” He tentatively kissed her again, resting his hand on top of hers. “I really like you, Y/N.”
“I like you too, Peter Parker. Now, just because you’re cute doesn’t make up for the fact that you haven’t helped me study for the physics quiz tomorrow.”
---
Y/N and Peter strolled through the halls hand in hand. They approached Y/N’s next class; physics. Both of them stopped by the door with a smile. “Relax, you’ll ace this.” Peter spoke. She bit her lip, “You’re just saying that.” He grazed her hand with his thumb before planting a kiss on her cheek. “Not that I’m complaining, but what was that for?” she smiled.
“It was a kiss. For good luck.”
“That’s cute, I’ll catch you later.” Y/N entered her class, while Peter stood in the hallway. “When did that happen?” Ned called out, but Peter was too enthralled in his own bliss to answer back.
He fell for her hard, and he was okay with that.

Meet & Greet ch 6
Chapter 5 <-- Series Masterlist --> Chapter 7
Pairing: Tom Holland/Reader
Summary: You missed out on a Tom Holland meet and greet, but a stranger, who you are pretty sure is a Tom Holland lookalike, rescues you from your pity party for one.
Word Count: 2,028
Warnings: More smut, but that’s not all this time!
A/N: I originally intended this to be nothing but irredeemable porn, but then the beginning of feelings happened, and I just went with it.
You were a bit nervous that someone would see you with Tom in the hotel and take a picture to post online. You didn’t want him, or you for that matter, to get the level of hate that tended to happen with those sorts of things.
“You’re checking out early. Was there anything wrong with the room?” the hotel desk clerk asked.
“No, it was fine,” you quickly answered, stumbling a bit over your words. “I just had an, uh, unexpected change of plans.”
The clerk tapped at the computer keyboard in front of her. “Since you didn’t cancel with 24 hours notice, you’ll still be charged for the room for tonight and tomorrow night. Is that okay?”
“Yes,” you agreed, desperate to get this over with and far away from the hotel.
“Now, I’ll need the key card, and we can finish checking you out.”
“Shit,” you muttered to yourself. Tom had taken the key card to grab your suitcase. You thought of all the online hate you could create for what amounted to an extended hookup and decided it wasn’t worth retrieving. “I, uh, lost it.”
She seemed unimpressed. “There’s a surcharge for that.”
“That’s fine,” you said, not really caring how much it was.
As she was tapping the keyboard, you were tapping your foot.
“Okay, you’re all checked out now. Have a nice day.”
“Thanks, you too.” You walked out to the parking lot, night air still humid and heavy from the rain. You quickly glanced around to see if anyone was paying attention to you. Fortunately, no one seemed to be.
You walked to the right side of the car out of habit before you realized that the seats were reversed here, and hurried over to the passenger side to get in. You shut the door behind you and heaved a sigh of relief.
“I have the keycard.” Tom held it up.
“I told them I lost it,” you confessed.
“Why?” he asked.
“I was afraid someone would take a picture of you with me at a hotel and make all the wrong, well, I guess technically right, assumptions. I don’t want you to have to deal with that.” You stared at the floorboard.
“No one was paying attention to us,” he reassured you, taking your hand and stroking his thumb over the back of it. “It’s sweet of you to be concerned, and before we get there, no one camps outside of my apartment late at night to take pictures of me. I’m not that famous.”
You couldn’t help but laugh a little, then looked up at him. “I’m sorry. You must think I’m being silly.”
“You’re not. The paparazzi is an issue sometimes, but they don’t follow me everywhere.” He let go of your hand and started driving. “I’ve been with girls after I was cast as Spiderman without it being in the tabloids. Just have to have some discretion.”
Curiosity got the better of you. “So you don’t lead a life of celibacy?”
“Hardly. I was serious, though, when I said I don’t hook up with every pretty girl I meet. There’s been…” He paused in contemplation. “Maybe half a dozen or so, in the past couple of years? The last one was a few months ago at a party after I had a drink too many. I don’t usually enjoy one night stands as a rule.”
“So a longer-term friend with benefits?” you ventured.
“Something like that,” he agreed.
“You were willing to break your rule for me?”
“Sort of. It was probably presumptuous of me, but you had no concrete plans, and I thought you might be willing to spend a couple weeks with me instead of a couple hours,” he admitted.
“Not really presumptuous.” You glanced over at him. “I’ve had a crush on you for ages.”
“Am I living up to all your hopes and dreams?” he asked cheekily.
“I definitely imagined you’d be a less generous lover. I figured that being a movie star would have made you feel more...entitled? I’m not sure if that’s the exact term I’m looking for.” You shrugged.
“No, I get it. There are definitely some actors who let it go to their heads. I’ve heard plenty of horror stories. I try really hard to be the same person I was before Marvel came into my life.”
“I didn’t know you then, but you seem completely grounded to me.”
“I’m glad, although I have almost two weeks left to disappoint you.” He smiled over at you.
You weren’t sure you’d ever get over his smile. It made your knees weak. Well, really, he made your knees weak. You weren’t sure how long you watched his profile in the dim light, but it startled you out of your reverie when he parked.
“Okay, we’re here.”
You both got out of the car. You couldn’t help glancing around to see if there was anyone watching. He retrieved your suitcase from the trunk, carrying it for you.
“Such a gentleman,” you commented.
“I try,” he replied, drily.
You walked up to his door, and he paused. “Before we go in, you might end up taking back what you said about me being grounded.”
“Why would you say that?” you asked, curious.
“I have some Spiderman memorabilia.” He paused. “Not a ton, but, well, enough.”
You laughed. “That’s not a big deal.”
“You say that now.” He unlocked the door and ushered you in.
You walked in and looked around. There was a modest amount of Spiderman memorabilia, but it didn’t bother you. If you were in a movie, you’d want your merchandise, too.
He walked into the kitchen and grabbed a takeout menu. “Tell me what you want, and I’ll place the order.”
“You don’t have to get me dinner,” you started.
“No, I insist.” He handed you the menu.
You glanced over it, picked out your favorite dish, and gave the menu back.
He tapped at his phone for a few minutes while you watched idly, and then turned his attention back to you. “Should be here in around 45 minutes.”
“What can we do for the next 45 minutes?” You glanced over at his TV, wondering if people in the UK had Netflix or Hulu.
“I might have some ideas,” he said from behind you.
“Oh?” you wondered aloud.
“Actually, quite a few ideas.” He wrapped his arms around you, sliding a hand down your shirt to the waistband of your pants.
You were definitely on board with whatever ‘ideas’ he had in mind, but 45 minutes didn’t seem that long. “You can’t answer the door naked.”
“Who said anything about me being naked, darling?” He drew out the last word at the same time he slipped his hand inside your pants and panties.
“Oh god,” you moaned.
“Already so wet for me,” he commented as he slid a finger through your slick folds, rubbing circles around your clit without actually touching it, teasing you. “I can’t decide whether I want to get my mouth on that delicious cunt of yours again, or fuck you with my fingers and tell you all the filthy, filthy things I want to do to you for the next 13 days.”
“Please,” you begged, not caring what he chose, as long as he chose it soon.
“Bed first.” He led you to his bedroom. You kicked off your shoes and lay on his unmade bed.
He made quick work of taking off your pants and panties. “I’m gonna try something, but tell me to stop if I hurt you, or you don’t like it. Okay?”
“Okay,” you agreed.
He nudged your thighs apart and slid on his stomach between your spread legs. You draped them over his shoulders, soft material of his shirt against your bare skin. You stroked your fingers through his silky curls, and it definitely felt nicer dry than wet.
Like the last time, he dove in eagerly. His tongue quickly found your clit, and this time, he didn’t seem to want to tease you. He sucked your clit into his mouth again, flicking his tongue over it, but this time he didn’t stop.
Your orgasm hit quickly, and you felt a single finger press into you. It felt bigger than his tongue had, and definitely deeper, and a bit more uncomfortable. You didn’t really have time to process the feeling before he crooked it, and pleasure sparked in you, sharp, bright, and incredible.
You screamed his name and bucked hard against his face, fingers tangling in his hair and unconsciously tugging it.
He didn’t stop until you stilled, and then pulled his face back, finger still buried inside you. His face was glistening with your wetness. He was breathing hard.
“Are you alright?” you asked, concerned.
“Yeah. Looks like you like g-spot stimulation.” He moved his finger and crooked it again.
The spark of pleasure returned, and your hips thrust involuntarily again.
“I might be able to get you to squirt. We’ll see. How does my finger feel?”
You thought about it for a moment. “It felt really big and really deep at first, but now it just feels good. I think I might want more.”
“Maybe another finger?”
“Yeah. I’m a little nervous, but I trust you.”
He collected some of your wetness on his middle finger and pressed it gently against the index finger, still buried in you. You sharply inhaled when the tip breached you, pressure turning to a bit of pain and an uncomfortable stretch.
“Do you want me to stop?” he asked, stilling.
You gulped, knowing that his cock was never going to fit in you if you couldn’t even take a couple of fingers. You knew you didn’t have all the time in the world with him, and you wanted to make the most of what time you had. “No, don’t stop.”
“You’re doing so well, love, absolutely perfect. Just a little more.” He worked his middle finger in slowly, rubbing soothing circles on your hip with his free hand. “I promise it’ll feel much better soon. You’ll be taking my cock in no time, sweetheart.”
Although they didn’t spike your arousal the way he called you ‘darling’ did, the pet names made your heart flutter. When his palm finally bumped into your skin, you breathed a sigh of relief. After giving you a little time to adjust, his thumb started rubbing your clit in unhurried circles. The stretch and ache were still there, but you stopped noticing as much when your arousal flared again.
Your orgasm came quicker this time, but no less bright or intense. While you chanted his name between moans, he thrust both fingers in and out. He gradually built up speed, brushing your g-spot every few times, and driving you absolutely crazy.
The pleasure distracted you from the uncomfortable stretch when he occasionally scissored his fingers slightly. The stretch soon became a satisfying fullness, something you definitely wanted again. You were very, very glad your previous fears had been unwarranted.
“Such a good girl for me.” He withdrew his fingers as your orgasm subsided. “Did I hurt you?”
You shook your head. “No. It hurt at first, but then it felt really good.”
He started to lick his fingers off slowly again, making sure you were watching. “I love the way you say my name when you cum. I want to take you apart for hours, get you off on my fingers, my mouth, my cock, until we lose track of how many times you’ve cum, but I still don’t think I could get enough.”
Your already pounding pulse found its way to your clit again, and you couldn’t help the whine that escaped you.
“I promise I’ll take such good care of you, darling. I’ll-”
The doorbell rang.
“Shit.” He quickly wiped his face off on the back of his hand and adjusted himself in his pants. “You can get dressed again, and we’ll have dinner.” He paused for a second, thoughtful. “Or don’t. I’ll leave it up to you.”
He hurried off to answer the door, leaving you lying on his bed, utterly and completely sexually frustrated.

How to Watch Marvel's Movies in Order
Marvel Studio is a famous American film producing company specialized in directing and producing movies of superheros. It’s parent company, Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) produces web and TV series, comic books and short films. All over the world, people are Marvel fans and crazy to watch each production of Marvel.
Marvel has copyrights of the main superhero characters and every movie the character remains with unique characteristics in terms of their power and weapons. Marvel’s Universe is out of imagination.
Marvel studio movies receive an average of 64 nominations and awards per movie.
Most of the climatic battles that are seen in the Marvel studio movies among superheroes and villains rely heavily on computer generated effects. As we all know, each movie that Marvel studio makes has a signature shot of a cameo appearance of the late Stan Lee (the writer of many original comics). The first movie released by them was in 2008 but it all began in 1941. Most of the Marvel studio movies can be found online on streaming services like Amazon, iTunes and Disney+.

Marvel movie’s success is has four core principles:
(1) Select for experienced inexperience.
(2) Grasp a stable core.
(3) Need for challenging the formula.
(4) Foster customers’ curiosity.
Marvel Studios believes in granting directors majority of control in areas where they have the most experience. In order to balance the ideas, new talents and voices which are brought into each movie, the Marvel studio holds on to a tiny percentage of people from one to the next. The support and footing provided by them allows Marvel to maintain continuity among products and to give birth to an attractive community for fresh talent.
It has been noticed that Marvel movies portray differing emotional tones, that is the steadiness between positive and negative emotions conveyed verbally by its characters. Analysing the experience of Marvel shows us that franchises gain from continual experimentation.

familiar stranger (part two).
After losing the past six years of your life, nothing has been normal. But with the help of loved ones, you’ve been reacquainting yourself with your life, piece by piece. After your first visit with your therapist, you decide to reach out to the one person who would know you better than you know yourself: your husband.
Trigger warning: Mentions of depression, panic attack

If there was one thing were still confident about, it was your ability to cook. Although maneuvering your everyday surroundings proved to be a challenge, being in the kitchen was as familiar to you as the back of your hand. Minseok had even watched in awe from the kitchen island as you flitted back and forth, hands just as dexterous as ever. While your mind had forgotten, your hands had managed to remember.
After managing to shoo Minseok out of the apartment and clean up the kitchen, the butterflies began to set in. They had gone almost unnoticed while you cooked, all of your attention focused on making sure the food tasted good instead of melting down at the thought of tonight. But now in the silence of Minseok’s apartment, there was nothing left but to wait for Jongdae.
You rushed over to the restroom, fixing any hairs that were out of place. Even though were sure that as your husband, Jongdae had seen you in worse states of dress, you still wanted to at least try to look like you had everything together.
A muted knock could be heard at the front door, the bobby pin in your hand slipping onto the floor as you flinched in surprise. “Crap,” you muttered to yourself. You picked the pin up and left it behind on the counter, your hair now the least important thing on your mind.
As you neared the door, you tried to take even, steady breaths like Dr. Suh had advised. Undoing the lock, you slowly eased the door open, peeking out from behind. “Hi, Jongdae.”
Jongdae greeted you with a bashful smile, one hand coming up to briefly touch the shell of his ear. “Hi. Am I too early?”
“No, you’re right on time! Come in.” You stepped back to let him in, closing the door after him.
As he slipped off his shoes, Jongdae brought his other hand out from behind his back, revealing a small bouquet, purple flowers interspersed with smaller blossoms of white. “Oh, I brought flowers.” He held it out to you, an awkward bit of laughter falling from his lips.
Immediately, you gasped in surprise, giving Jongdae a small thank you as you gingerly lifted it out of his hand. “Lavender! My favorite,” you cooed as you breathed in the bouquet of flowers. You took a closer look at the smaller flowers. “What are the other flowers?”
“Jasmine.” Jongdae watched you with a knowing smile, only looking away for a second as he slipped on the extra pair of house slippers by the door. “I’m glad you like it.”
“I love it! Thank you, really.” With another appreciative sniff, you gestured over to the kitchen. “Are you okay with fish?”
“Fish sounds great, I’m starving.” Jongdae followed after you while you looked for a vase to drop the flowers in.
You paused, eyes wide to look at Jongdae over your shoulder. “Do you have any allergies?”
“Nah, I’ll eat almost anything. Do you need help?”
“I’m fine, but thanks! Dinner’s already made, I just need to plate it.”
Jongdae shifted uncertainly from foot to foot, wanting to help out, yet knowing that you were more than capable. He wasn’t necessarily bad at cooking, but compared to you who did this for a living, his dishes seemed fairly basic.
The two of you sat down at the table, the new vase of flowers set in the middle. “Thanks for cooking,” said Jongdae. “Seriously, you didn’t have to go to all this trouble.”
“It wasn’t any trouble at all! I just hope you like it.”
Without any hesitation, Jongdae took a bite of his food, humming in content as his face lit up. “This is really good, Y/N! Seriously,” he added upon seeing your skeptical glance.
“You don’t have to overreact,” you teased, digging into your own food. You were pleased to find that Jongdae hadn’t been wrong — to be honest, this was pretty delicious. In the midst of your self-critique, you completely missed how the corners of Jongdae’s mouth curled up in a grin. “You know, this is the most I’ve felt like, well ‘me’ all week. Weirdly enough, I feel more like myself when I’m cooking.”
“I’m glad to hear that,” he spoke up after a couple of bites. “I know it’s been hard on you.”
You shrugged. “It hasn’t been too bad,” you replied unconvincingly, voice trailing off at the end.
Jongdae put his fork down, one hand about to reach out to you before he stopped himself. Although you looked exactly the same as you did a week ago, everything was different now. He couldn’t expect to be able to hold you, to comfort you the way he always had. “I’m sorry,” he consoled you.
Shaking your head, you tried to stop the pricking of tears in your eyes. “I can’t imagine its been easy for you too. I mean, to have something like this sprung upon you out of the blue, it’s insane. Sometimes I still feel like I’m not fully awake yet.”
Jongdae hummed in agreement. “I feel like that too, sometimes. Is there anything I can do to help?”
“You’ve already been really helpful to me.”
“I have?” Jongdae’s eyebrows lifted dramatically, drawing a small giggle from you.
“You stayed with me in the hospital, and you even brought some of my things over here. And you came over today too.”
“Y/N, that’s nothing. I would have done those for you, regardless.” Jongdae’s voice had taken on a more serious tone, eyes shining with an unspoken warmth.
“Because you’re my husband?” Your gaze dropped down to your left hand, still ring-less. You didn’t miss how Jongdae’s eyes followed yours as well, his Adam’s apple bobbing as he swallowed.
“Because I care about you. No matter whether you remember me or not.”
You sighed, shoulders slumping. “You’re too sweet. How did I ever find someone like you?”
Jongdae laughed aloud, even as his cheeks turned pink and he tried to hide his smile. “Thanks, but I think I’m the one who’s lucky here.”
“As weird as this sounds, this feels like a first date to me.” Now you were the one to become a flushed, embarrassed mess.
“I guess it kind of is.”
Dinner completely forgotten, the two of you shared giggles over the absurdity of it all. A first date with someone you were already married to? It was practically unheard of.
“Where was our first date?” you asked, chin resting on the heel of your hand as you leaned forward.
Jongdae’s face took on a far-off look, as if he could see it all right there before him. “We went to go see ‘The Winter Soldier’ together.”
“Who?”
“The second Captain America movie. Wait.” Jongdae’s mouth fell open in horror. “You don’t remember it. Oh my god, you don’t remember any of the Marvel movies since then.”
“How many have there been?” you asked, stupefied as to why he was making such a big deal out of this. “Isn’t Iron Man the only one everyone cares about in Marvel?”
Jongdae leaned back in his chair, resting his hands behind his head. “Wow. This is surreal, holy crap. You need to watch the rest of the movies. Like, now.”
“Now? Can it wait until after dinner?”
“Oh.” Jongdae had already jumped up from his seat, ready to pop in a DVD until you stopped him. “You’re right,” he added sheepishly, rubbing at the back of his neck. He sat down, quickly getting over his embarrassment as he gave you the basic rundown of what had happened to the Marvel universe in 6 years. To be honest, you didn’t know who half of these superheroes were, but it was cute to see how Jongdae was geeking out about them.
In the midst of Jongdae giving you the basic rundown of “The Winter Soldier”, you frowned in confusion. “Wait, I don’t get it. Why is Spiderman here? I thought Tobey Maguire was Spiderman. Did they bring him back?” Your eyes widened. “Oh, wait! They made a new one with that one guy! Uh... Andrew Garfield? The British guy, right?”
Jongdae snorted, covering his mouth with a napkin. “Well, I mean, he is British. But no, this one is played by Tom Holland.”
“Who?”
“Another British guy. But trust me, you’re gonna love him.”
And as unorthodox as it was, Jongdae decided that instead of watching the Marvel movies in order, you two would start off with Spiderman: Homecoming. Of course, you were extremely confused as you sat watching it beside Jongdae on the couch, but he had been right — you loved this kid.
“I think he’s my favorite Spiderman,” you whispered as you leaned closer, shoulder brushing against Jongdae’s.
He chuckled softly, crossing his feet underneath him, socks rubbing against the couch. “You’ve said this before too.”
“Good. I didn’t think I’d be this interested. Is there another one?”
“Yeah, it came out this year. But Disney and Sony had some sort of contract conflict, so there’s no more Spiderman movies lined up.”
You gasped, and Jongdae barely fought back a laugh at your reaction. “No way! When did this happen?!”
“Pretty recently. A lot of people are pissed about it.”
“I’m pissed, and I just found out!”
At that moment, Minseok walked back in to see you completely dumbfounded and staring wide-eyed at the screen while Jongdae was still trying, and failing, to hide his giggles. “Alright, what did you do?” he yelled out.
“Min! Disney killed Spiderman!”
Jongdae was literally hunched over at this point, shoulders shaking with heaving laughter.
You scowled at him, reaching out to tickle his neck, Jongdae yelping in surprise. “Hey, this isn’t funny! I just found out about this, and of course Disney had to ruin it.”
It only took Minseok one glance at the TV to understand what you were talking about. “Really, Dae? You know how worked up she gets about Spiderman.”
“No regrets,” Jongdae choked out, wiping tears from his eyes with a last chuckle.
Minseok walked over to the TV, crouching down with one finger outstretched towards the DVD player. Immediately, you and Jongdae both shouted out in protest, Minseok flinching back as if he had burned. “What?!”
“You can’t stop it now! Tom Holland doesn’t even know who Vulture is!” Jongdae protested.
“I don’t even know who the Vulture is,” you piped in.
Rolling his eyes, Minseok stomped over to the couch, taking the empty spot on your other side. Soon enough, all three of you were fully immersed in the movie. And of course, when it was finally revealed who the villain really was, Minseok and Jongdae shared a high-five behind your back as you gasped loudly in shock.
But much too soon for all of you, the movie came to an end, and the three of you were reminded of how late it had gotten. Minseok yawned, stretching both arms out above his head. “I’m gonna go shower and head to bed.” He poked your cheek as he got up, along with a playful tug to Jongdae’s.
“Thanks for having me over,” Jongdae spoke up quietly, more to you than to Minseok.
“Of course. Thanks for enlightening me on the entirety of the MCU.” You had learned a lot more about superheroes in the last couple of hours than you had ever thought you would.
Minseok slipped away, proud of giving you two some alone time again while Jongdae shook his head with a smile. “It was nothing — especially since I got to see your reaction all over again.”
“Was it the same as last time?”
“Hmm, maybe better? You weren’t this worked up in the movie theatre.”
“Have we seen all of the Marvel movies in the theatre?”
“I think so. We might have missed a couple, but we have a pretty good track record.”
You thought for a second, fingers playing absentmindedly with a hole in your jeans. “Will you watch them with me again? Since I don’t remember?”
Jongdae was speechless, brows raising before he was beaming with that ever-radiant smile. “Of course! Just give me a call whenever you want, and I’ll come over.”
“That sounds good,” you replied softly, thinking back to the way both of you had been sitting side by side, sharing in the laughter brought on by a simple movie. “I’d really like that.”
Jongdae’s eyes had softened as well, knowing all too well what you were thinking. He had been with you for five years, after all. He reached out, hand initially going to cradle your cheek until he remembered that this was all still scarily new to you. Jongdae paused before poking your cheek mischievously like Minseok had. “I’ll see you around, then.” He got up to stretch, his hands high above his head as he yawned. “I should head home.”
You caught a glimpse of his stomach before looking away, clearing your throat as you got up. “Do you want to take some leftovers?” In your usual fashion, you had made more than enough servings than needed.
“Can I really?” Jongdae looked like an eager puppy, even in his tired state.
“Of course!” You went to search for some tupperware to put the food in while Jongdae looked for his jacket. He found it in a wrinkled lump on the floor, probably from having slipped off the couch earlier. As he picked it up, he noticed a few picture frames perched on the coffee table close by. One was of you and Minseok as children, wearing swimsuits and walking hand in hand as you played at the beach. Another held a family photo of your wedding day, you and Jongdae seated side by side with countless family members from both sides surrounding you. Jongdae picked up the frame, a thumb running over your face as he thought back to that unforgettable day.
You peered out from the kitchen, the silence in the living room making you curious. When you saw what Jongdae was looking at, you came over to look as well. “Minseok put those out,” you said. “He thought they might help me remember something.”
Jongdae turned around, half embarrassed at being caught, and oddly enough, a bit guilty as well. He placed the frame back down, hand much more unsteady than before. “Have you? Do you remember anything?”
Now you were the one freezing up with guilt. No matter how many times you thought about what Dr. Suh had shared with you at your first session, it was still hard to keep that ugly voice back at bay. That same voice came to haunt you in the dead of night, at your lowest when you were made even more aware of how alone you felt. Almost imperceptibly, you shook your head, unable to look Jongdae in the eye. “No, I haven’t.”
Jongdae couldn’t help the uncomfortable tightening in his chest, like all of the air had been sucked out of the room. It wasn’t your fault, and he knew that, truly he did. But it still hurt to know that while the two of you were making progress in the present, there was still work to be done on your shared past. “Do you want me to send you some pictures I have back at home? I don’t know what Minseok’s showed you already, but we’ve got a bunch of pictures and videos saved on the computers.”
“Really?” Minseok had done his best to fill you in on the missing years, even reviving his long-abandoned Facebook account to show you pictures that had been uploaded to the website. However, most of them had been of you and Jongdae from a third perspective. “I’d really appreciate that.”
Jongdae tried his best to put on a bright smile, and while you only had a week’s worth of memories of him, you could still detect the slight sadness lingering on his face. “I’ll email them to you, or something.”
He left soon afterwards, bidding you a soft good night while you told him to drive safely. Now alone in the living room, you were reminded of how much life the room had held not even an hour earlier. You had caught a glimpse of what married life must have been like: playful conversations across the dinner table and on the couch, sweet smiles exchanged here and there.
Switching the lights off and plunging the room into darkness, you walked towards your room, passing your bouquet of flowers that Jongdae had brought over.
“The search for the perfect mattress continues. Mattress number 15.”
“Dae, stop. Vlogging isn’t your thing. And this is only like the fifth mattress we’ve seen.”
A loud gasp. “Hey, don’t kill my vlogging career before it even starts.”
The camera was lifted, showing an unfamiliar version of yourself perched on the edge of a bare mattress. Other shoppers walked back and forth behind you, each one on their own search for a mattress in the store. You shook your head with a smile at Jongdae’s silliness, even as he stifled his laughter from behind the camera.
“Well? How’s this one?” he asked.
You fell back against the mattress, hair splayed out beneath you as you closed your eyes. “Hmm,” you thought, rolling onto your side. “I like it. Come try it out, Dae.”
With a grunt, Jongdae flopped onto the bed beside you, the camera view going blurry for a few seconds. When it finally refocused, it was on your face once more, your eyes still closed as you faced Jongdae. “Ooh. I like this one,” he said.
Opening your eyes, you quirked an eyebrow. “You’ve been saying that about all of the mattresses.”
“Because it’s true!”
“You can’t like all of them, you need to pick one!” Now you were giggling, and Jongdae’s hand came into view, going over your shoulder and pulling you closer to him. The camera wasn’t even filming you anymore, only picking up footage of people’s feet walking across the wooden floor of the store.
“Grown-up shopping is hard,” Jongdae said.
“Wait until we get to the big stuff, like a refrigerator.”
Jongdae groaned. “Why are there so many kinds out there? Is there really someone out there who really needs a touchscreen on their fridge?”
“Shh, I’m sleeping,” you mumbled.
“You can’t sleep in the store.”
“Stop bothering me and go back to your vlogging,” you teased back.
“Oh crap.” The camera lifted once more before turning off, the screen going black.
In the present, you stared at your laptop screen, face reflected back to you in the blank square of the video player.
Jongdae had followed through with his promise, sending you email upon email of videos and pictures from the past six years. He had even brought your laptop over so that you could go through the ones you had saved as well. Thankfully, you remembered your laptop password — but only because you used the same five passwords on rotation. Good for your amnesiac brain, not so good when it came to potentially getting hacked. You had made a mental note to change the password later.
For the past hour or so, it had been nothing but constant searching through files and emails. Nothing had managed to bring back any recollection of your missing memories, but you were still hopeful. A lot of the videos were taken by Jongdae, tiny snippets of your daily lives like the playful shopping trip you had just finished watching.
You clicked the video player closed, bringing up a file of clips on your laptop. Luckily, it seemed like all of your videos and pictures had been meticulously organized into files based on year, and then month. You had started off by looking at things in chronological order, but you were steadily growing tired and wanted to watch something that would have more meaning to you. Or rather, you if you could remember it.
Based off of what Minseok and Jongdae had said, you had gotten married in 2016. You clicked on the folder, going through each month until you finally found it — another file labeled “Wedding Day”.
You clicked on it, surprised to see how much content was inside. Immediately, you clicked on the first picture, one of you and Jongdae standing side by side. Jongdae had one arm around you, smiling down at you while you were busy fixing his tie. The next picture was of you, glancing over your shoulder with a smile while Jongdae spread out the fabric of your train. Your hand came up to trace the line of your dress through the screen. And yet still nothing, no spark of recollection.
Picture by picture, you made it through most of the content in the folder until reaching a video. Your hand paused on the mouse pad as the title caught your eye — “Wedding Vows”. With bated breath, you considered ignoring it and continuing your search for a less emotional video. But at the same time, you wondered if this would be the one to break through the block in your memories.
Upon first click, the camera was focused on you and Jongdae standing only a few feet away, both of you hand in hand. Your back was to the camera, while Jongdae stared at you with tears gathering in his eyes.
“Sweet Y/N, I am truly the luckiest person in the world because I have you in my life,” Jongdae spoke. “You keep me grounded, keep me from leaping before I think. But more than that, I’m thankful for your everlasting kindness. I’ve never met anyone who had a heart half as generous, as selfless, as beautiful as yours. You light up my day — you have ever since we first met. You’re also the stars in my night sky, watching over me even from afar. I still can’t believe that I get to be yours. I love you, forever and ever.”
Although you couldn’t see your face from this angle, you could see how your hand came up to wipe away Jongdae’s tears. It lingered on his cheek, and Jongdae closed his eyes, letting his face rest in your hand until you pulled it away.
You cleared your throat, and even through the video, you knew that your legs must have been shaking like crazy. “I love you, darling Jongdae.” You paused the video, struck by the sweet endearment you had given your husband. “Darling,” you repeated to yourself, the word surprisingly not as foreign to you as you expected.
“I love how full of life you are, how you always know exactly what to say. You encourage me to try new things, to take the risk. With you by my side, I’m never afraid. I love getting to be the one to fall asleep and wake up by your side, to comfort you when you’re feeling down and know that you’ll do the same for me. I’m so thankful for your everlasting support. You have been the light in some of my darkest nights, and I want to be the same for you. You have a heart of gold, and I will treasure it for the rest of my life.”
Someone in the video sniffled, and you watched as Jongdae kissed your forehead with a smile, even with your veil in the way. The video ended, and you searched for more clips of the day.
You watched as the next one showed you and Jongdae slipping your wedding rings on, and then Jongdae lifting your veil. He wiped at your cheeks with his thumb, whispering something that you couldn’t hear. The crowd in the video cheered as both of you kissed, your hands at the nape of Jongdae’s neck while he held you close to him in his arms. When you finally separated, you pressed another kiss to the tip of Jongdae’s nose, the two of you giggling to yourselves.
There were videos of the two of you dancing, of laughter over shared secrets as the night wore on. When the last video ended, you were left stunned, but thankfully with more answers than questions.
There was no doubt that you had loved Jongdae — you had even been able to tell after your dinner together. But seeing these videos gave you visible proof that you had been happy with him. It was hard to imagine you being unhappy with him, especially as you peeled back the layers in both your personality and his. Jongdae practically radiated joy, and this joy was extremely infectious.
But did you love Jongdae now? Could you ever love him the same way you once had?
Sliding your laptop off of your lap, you got up from where you had been sitting on your bed. Your wedding ring lay in the back of a drawer, still in the bag you had received from the hospital. Slowly, you took the ring out, gauging yourself every so often for some sort of natural instinct — an impulse to put the ring on. But just like the other time you had tried to put it on, you couldn’t bring yourself to actually do it. There was still no immediate reaction, nothing that told you that putting on this ring was just as normal as brushing your teeth everyday.
You sighed, shoving the ring back into the bag and slamming the drawer closed. Why weren’t you remembering things? You had waited as patiently as you could, always keeping in mind that it might take a while for your memories to come back. Now, you were forced to revisit the fact that maybe, your memories were lost forever. It seemed more and more likely that you would spend the rest of your life with a six-year gap in your mind.
You were terrified of mentioning this to Jongdae and the rest of your family. They were all confident that everything would turn out fine, that you would eventually have all of your memories back. If you didn’t make any progress, you would feel like you had let everybody down.
Dr. Suh was able to pick up on this during your next session, although it took some careful prying and a lot of patience before you opened up to her.
“I still think that it’s too soon to give up,” she said. “It hasn’t been a month since your accident and your mind will likely need more time to fully recover from the trauma. But,” her eyes softened, “Even if your memories don’t return, that has nothing to do with you or your efforts.”
“But I feel like I should have had remembered something by now. I keep looking through old pictures and asking Minseok and Jongdae about things. Nothing brings back even the tiniest bit of a memory. What do I do if I never get any of them back?”
Dr. Suh reached over to her desk, grabbing a folder and looking through the contents. “I was doing some research. There’s a man in America named Scott Bolzan who lost 46 years of memories — quite literally his entire life at the time.”
“His entire life?” you repeated.
“Everything. He couldn’t remember meeting his wife, having children. He even forgot what the concept of a birthday was.”
“That sounds horrible.” You thought it was bad enough to have no recollection of the past six years, but 46 years? Compared to this man, you had it lucky.
“It definitely seemed like it. He and his wife tried the same tactics that you’ve been using: looking through old pictures, talking about things that happened in the past. But no matter what they tried, nothing came back.”
“Is he okay now?” You were practically on the edge of your seat, praying for a happy ending for this man.
“He still doesn’t remember anything from before his accident, but he’s been happy living with his wife and family. He even wrote a book about his experience.”
“But he’s okay with that? With not knowing who he was before?”
Dr. Suh tapped the tip of her pen against her leg as she thought. “I believe he’s come to terms with what’s happened, and has made the most of his condition. That’s not to say that he isn’t happy — he’s said that he fell in love with his wife all over again. He cares about his children, and loves them like he did before. It was a hard and taxing journey to get to that point, but he’s thankful for having made all of this progress. Of course, I’m sure if he had the chance, he would want all of his memories back. But he didn’t give up on living his best life, even after he knew that he would never be the same person he once was.”
You picked up on what Dr. Suh was hinting at, but that was easier said than done. It was hard to imagine yourself being okay with the way you were now, your mind a blank slate and relying on everyone else to fill it in. “I’m still scared. I’m terrified to go around for the rest of my life with a huge chunk of me just missing, the part of what makes me, me.”
“But you’re still here — your personality, your current thoughts and beliefs. Even if you don’t have your past with you, that doesn’t mean that you can’t continue to live now, in the present. I can’t promise you that it’ll be smooth sailing from here on out, but I want you to try also focusing on what’s here now, instead of focusing only on what you may have lost in the past.” Upon seeing your hesitation, Dr. Suh gave you a knowing smile. “I’m not saying that you have to give up on trying to regain your memories, but I don’t want you to become so fixated on the past that you lose sight of what’s important to you now. It’s a blessing that you weren’t more seriously injured in your accident, and I know that this seems like the end of the world, but you still have so much out there ahead of you. You are the writer of your own life story, Y/N. I want you to be happy with yourself, with your life.”
Feeling a wave of emotion starting to well up inside of you, you took in a shaky breath before managing a tiny nod in agreement. “I’ll try.” Your throat felt dry all of a sudden, parched mouth making it hard to speak. “Do you have any water?” you rasped out.
The therapist got up from her seat, heading across the room until you couldn’t see her, a wall blocking your vision. She returned, water bottle in hand and held it out to you, lid already uncapped.
Barely managing to get out a thanks, you took the bottle from her hand, only taking a few short sips in between trembling gasps of air. You let the bottle rest in your lap as your closed your eyes, trying as best as you could to calm down.
“Take deep, slow breaths,” you heard Dr. Suh say from beside you. She counted as you breathed in, numbers a flowing mantra to your ears. Dr. Suh waited until it seemed like you had calmed down, no longer gasping for air but taking steady, calming breaths to self-sooth. “Are you feeling better?” she asked.
Opening your eyes, you were surprised to see her crouched beside you, still a respectable distance away, but close enough to be of support. You nodded, all too aware of the perspiration lingering on your skin, how the dread that had filled you up minutes ago was now slipping away. “Yeah, thank you.”
Dr. Suh took her seat again, watching you carefully until it seemed like you truly were feeling better. “Do you have any exciting plans coming up soon?” she asked by way of distraction.
“Umm, well, I’ve made plans to meet up with some friends. I asked Jongdae to come with me.”
“Are they friends that you remember?”
“I remember Kyungsoo really well since we went to culinary school together, but I only know a little bit about Baekhyun. Jongdae told me that we kept in touch with them often though.”
“That’s good. How do you feel around Jongdae now?”
“I feel more comfortable around him. I asked him over for dinner and we ended up watching a movie too. I can see why I liked him so much. I feel safe and happy around him.”
“I’m glad to hear you say that. You do seem a lot happier than the last time we met.” Dr. Suh glanced at the clock. “Is there anything else you wanted to talk about?”
Your eyes fell to your ring finger, thoughts going back to the times you had tried to put the ring back on, without success. “I feel guilty about not wearing my ring. Jongdae doesn’t ask about it, and I haven’t said anything, but I know that he notices. I just feel weird about wearing it, it’s just strange to think of it being my ring.”
“And that’s completely fine. You’re getting to know who he is, who you are. It would be unfair of anyone to expect you to wear the ring if you felt uncomfortable about it. This is your decision to make. Take your time, there’s no rush. If or when you feel ready to wear it again, you’ll know.”
“What if I’m never ready though?”
“That’s fine as well. You don’t have to justify the way you feel about this, Y/N. The ones who care about you, who love you will understand this as well. Even if you decide that the life that you had before isn’t the one that you want to live now, the people who support you will be there every step of the way.”
“Even Jongdae?”
Dr. Suh nodded, no trace of deception in her smile. “Even Jongdae,” she answered, genuine in her response.
Even more surprising was the fact that you knew this to be true. You might have still been learning about Jongdae, but everything about him screamed sincerity. You nodded in agreement, feeling slightly better. Standing up to leave, you gathered your purse and jacket. “Thank you. I’ll see you again next week.”
“Y/N?” Dr. Suh called out as you reached the door. “It’s not selfish to want to be happy.”
You hesitated before nodding once more, murmuring a soft goodbye as you left.
As you waited at the bus stop, you ruminated over Dr. Suh’s last words. You had been feeling better with each passing day, but still incomplete. Perhaps it was time to stop waiting for happiness to come to you, but to search it out instead.
“Are you sure we’ll get there in time?”
Jongdae bit down on his bottom lip as he stared at the traffic ahead. “I hope so. I forgot how busy this road gets, even on a Tuesday.”
Currently, the two of you were on your way to meet up with Kyungsoo and Baekhyun at a cafe to catch up. You hadn’t had much contact with either of them since leaving the hospital, but you remembered that they had sent a bouquet of flowers once they found out you were staying with Minseok. Kyungsoo’s writing was the same as always: right to the point, letters written out in an elegant script. Baekhyun was much more effervescent in his writing, many exclamation points peppered here and there. Other than that, they had given you space until you reached out to them. It was through this simple act that you knew they really understood you and your need for time to heal, something you appreciated deeply.
“I can text them and tell them we’re running late,” you offered.
Jongdae sent you a grateful smile, hands still tensed over the steering wheel. “Thanks.”
Baekhyun replied right away, assuring you that it would be fine — Kyungsoo was still weighing the merits of every drink and dessert on the menu and taking forever to order.
You and Jongdae both laughed over this, such a particular trait of Kyungsoo’s. Although you and Kyungsoo were both culinary experts, he took his job much more seriously and was constantly on the hunt for the best of the best.
“Kyungsoo seems just like I remember him,” you said with a giggle.
“Food obsessed? Yep, that’s him. And you, to a similar extent,” Jongdae replied with a grin.
“Me? When?”
“We went out for a fancy dinner when you got hired at April & Flower a long time ago. There was this strawberry matcha cheesecake that you fell in love with, and you tried recreating it for like a month.”
Your mouth watered at the mention of this heavenly dessert. “Was I able to?”
“Yeah, I mean I thought it was practically spot on, but you were convinced that something was missing. Although that didn’t stop me from begging you to make it every once in a while,” Jongdae joked.
“God, please tell me I saved a recipe.”
Jongdae gasped aloud, making you flinch in your seat. “Holy crap, I can’t believe I forgot.”
“Forgot what?”
“Your cookbook.” Jongdae was still wide-eyed, mouth open in surprise at whatever he had just realized.
“I have a cookbook?! Like Martha Stewart or something?”
This snapped Jongdae out of his reverie with a burst of laughter, his lips turning upwards as he chuckled. “No, although I think yours is better. You have this huge notebook of recipes you’ve written down. I mean, you only started writing in it a couple of years ago, but there’s a bunch of recipes in there. I can’t believe I forgot about it.”
“Well, if it makes you feel better, I forgot about it too.”
Jongdae shook his head with a smile. “Ever the comedian. Maybe the cookbook will help you out. Do you want me to drop it off sometime?”
You shrugged, glancing at the clock on the car console. There was no telling how long you guys would be out with Kyungsoo and Baekhyun, and you felt bad about making Jongdae come over just to drop off one thing. “Is it okay if I come over to pick it up today? Since we’re already out anyways,” you reasoned.
”Yeah, of course! We can get it after this,” Jongdae replied quickly. “You’re always welcome to stop by, it’s just as much your place as it is mine.”
“Thanks.”
The rest of the car ride was silent, neither one of you knowing what to say next. The midday sunlight shone through the car windows, sending panes of light across your legs as Jongdae drove.
“Have we been to this cafe before?” you asked.
“Yep. You’re gonna love it, they make really good brick toasts.”
“Brick toast?”
“Yeah, they’re these huge slices of toast with a bunch of toppings on it. Fruit, whipped cream, chocolate, you name it.”
You felt a rumbling in your stomach, a hand immediately moving up to cover it. “I’m getting hungry just thinking about it.”
Jongdae shot you a sympathetic glance. “We’re almost there.”
And sure enough, in a couple of minutes the car was pulling into a small parking lot. There were tables and chairs arranged under the yellow awning of the cafe, and you could spot a couple of waiters bustling to and fro inside. A shock of pink hair next to one of the windows caught your eye.
“Is that Baekhyun?”
Jongdae followed your gaze before grinning. “Yep, that’s him.”
“And that’s Kyungsoo? His hair is so short,” you exclaimed.
“He’s kept that same hairstyle for the past year because he says it’s easier to take care of. Maybe I should do that too, but then again, I don’t know if I can pull off that look,” Jongdae said wistfully, running a hand through his hair.
You turned to look at him, studying his face. “I think you’d look fine, no matter what hairstyle you have.”
Jongdae’s cheeks started to turn pink, his tongue caught between his teeth as he smiled shyly. “Thanks.” He cleared his throat, reaching for the door handle. “Come on, let’s go eat.” Jongdae stepped out of the car, and you followed suit. As soon as you had the door closed, you noticed that Jongdae had come around to your side of the car, an arm offered out to you. He raised an eyebrow, waiting with a smile.
You took it with a smile of your own, letting your hand curl around the crook of his arm. Walking together like this, it was easy to forget about everything that had happened to you, all of your worries that had been plaguing you for weeks.
To pretend that you were a woman, out with her husband.

A/N: the flowers in the bouquet that jongdae brings over have special meanings! lavender is meant to stand for devotion while white jasmine stands for sweet love. also, the case of scott bolzan that dr. suh mentioned is a true story! I was trying to look for real life cases to reference, and this guy just really went through the worst case of amnesia you could imagine. at first, I was going to mention the real couple that the movie “the vow” is based off of, but they divorced in real life so there was definitely no way I was gonna include that when I want the opposite for jongdae and y/n LOL

i realized something // peter parker
request: peter is a baby and i love him ANYWAY maybe one where the two of them get into a fight (they're friends, obvi) and they avoid each other for a few days but then she gets in trouble one night while she's out and he saves her (she knows he's spiderman) and they apologize and it's cute and fluffy
please don’t plagiarize my work!
word count: 1,627
Peter was acting unreasonable. Incredibly unreasonable.
As you stood there, opposite to him, completely silent as he practically yells at you, you try to rationally think of why. What did you do so bad that it upset Peter this much? And the answer was -- nothing. You didn’t do anything.
“I don’t understand why you’re getting mad at me,” you mumble, cutting Peter off as you shake your head. His lips remain parted as his eyes zone in on your own and you throw you hands up in the air, clueless as to what was wrong. “It’s one night, that’s all.”
“It’s our night,” Peter argues, the words slipping past his lips before he can stop himself. The moment he realizes what he’s said, his cheeks warm slightly and he quickly sputters out; “I mean, it’s movie night! You know, the night we always get together to binge watch whatever crap movie we can find. Can’t you go out with your date some other night?”
Your brows furrow, your eyes narrowing as you shake your head. “He’s busy tomorrow and the night after,” you explain, shaking your head. Sighing, you take a step towards Peter, reaching out for him in hopes that he’ll understand. “It’s just one week! Then, next week, we can go back to our regular routine. Can’t you understand?”
Crossing his arms over his chest, Peter’s expression hardens as he shakes his head. “No, I can’t.”
“Peter,” you call, your voice desperate. “I really like this guy.”
You miss the way Peter’s body tenses at your words. As you stand there, practically pleading with him to understand and be supportive, you’re oblivious to the discomfort and jealousy that floods Peter’s entire being at the thought of you going out on some date with some other guy when you’re suppose to be back at his place, watching movies with him. You’ve always been oblivious to his feelings.
At Peter’s lack of response and the tense silence that floods you, you suddenly find your hurt shifting into anger. It’s one night, an important night for you, and your supposed best friend can’t even be excited for you?
“Fine,” you huff, taking a step back from Peter. “Be mad at me, see if I care. I’m going on this date tomorrow and you can’t stop me.”
You turn without even letting Peter get a single word in. As you turn your back to him, walking off, you miss the way Peter’s shoulders fall and his face eases into an expression of regret as you watch your fading figure. His hands fall limply by his side as you storm off, and though Peter had been burning with anger moments before, now all he feels is guilt.
He let his emotions get the best of him, and he’d hurt your feelings in the process.
-
Two days after your date, and you and Peter still weren’t talking.
Your date had gone anything but well, and you realize that the boy who’d asked you out didn’t click with you at all. Everything he’d said, you’d disagreed with strongly and every time he did something, you found yourself churning with disgust. And all you could think about your entire date was Peter and your fight with him.
In hindsight, you should’ve just listened to Peter. You would’ve had a much better night.
That didn’t mean you were willing to be the first one to talk to him, though. Whether you regretted going on that date or not, Peter had been out of line. And you weren’t going to talk to him until he realized that and apologized for it.
But that also didn’t mean you didn’t miss him. You did, a lot. And because of your stubbornness, you found yourself walking home alone that night after school. You’d stayed late because of volunteering, and normally, when you stayed late, and sometimes even if you didn’t, Peter always walked you home. Now, you found yourself walking down the darkened streets of your neighborhood alone, gripping your backpack straps tightly as you speed-walked home.
You always felt a little iffy being out this late, especially by yourself. Before you’d never had to worry about it, but now...
Just as you turned the corner, the final stretch of street before you reached your home, you felt a hand fall on your arm. It elicited a gasp from your lips, the hand of the arm halting you to a stop and then spinning you. What could’ve been considered surprised easily turned into fear when you found a gun pointed to your chest and a man, hidden by his hood, stood in front of you.
Your lips parted, eyes wide, as you felt your body freeze, unsure what to do.
“Give me your bag,” the man demanded, his voice gruff. You notice a slight tremor in his movements, but whether he was afraid or not, didn’t matter. He still had a gun pointer at you, therefore the advantage. “Give me your fucking bag or i’ll kill you.”
“P-Please,” you stammer, holding your hands out before you. “I don’t-”
“Give me you fucking bag!”
Feeling your entire body shaky, you reluctantly pulling your bag over your head, hesitating on handing it over to the man. As your gaze flickers upwards, meeting only a hood, you decide to try pleading once more. “Please,” you whisper, “I don’t have that much money-”
“I’ll kill you! I’ll do it!”
To emphasize his point, the man takes a lunging step forward, pressing the gun against your chest directly. Letting out a shaky whimper, you nod, allowing your bag to fall in the man’s hands. He takes a step back in response, keeping the gun pointed at you as he begins searching through, knocking down your notebooks and textbooks to the ground, not giving a shit about them.
Then, just as he grabs your wallet, the man is sent forward, the gun clattering to the ground. You stumble back in response, your eyes falling on the gun for a moment, before raising, searching for the offender. Your lips part when you find Spider-man stood before you, or in other words, Peter Parker.
He kicks at the man on the ground, rolling him over onto his back as the man lets out a loud groan. You squint your eyes slightly, getting a good look at the man who’d pointed a gun at you seconds before.
Setting his foot on the man’s chest, Peter, or Spider-man, leans forward, voice low; “don’t move,” he orders, “i’m calling the cops.”
He steps back, picking up the gun, before pulling out his phone. As he presses the phone against his ear, the police instantly responding, his eyes fall on you, through his mask of course, and you find yourself frozen in the spot.
Once he’s done, he ties the the man up against a fence, jumping off without a single word. You watch him soar through the air, body still shaking, but unable to move, the distant sound of police sirens growing nearer.
-
A few hours later, after everything and your back in your room, getting ready for bed, you hear two knocks against your window. Even before looking, you have no doubt in your mind who it is and upon turning around, you find Peter staring back at you, palm pressed against the window.
You quickly open up your window, stepping back to give him room to climb in. The moment he’s on his feet, he shuts your window behind him, turning to you as an awkward silence surrounds the both of you. You hug yourself, curling into yourself slightly as glance down at your feet, unsure of what to say.
“My parents are asleep,” you finally say, your voice eerily quiet. “They were a wreck after everything, so I told them to go to bed early.”
Peter nods, taking a step towards you; “i’ll be quiet then.”
You nod as well, swallowing thickly as you briefly meet his eyes. “Thank you,” you mumble, licking your lips as you feel your heart pound against your chest nervously. After days of not speaking to Peter, you’re not exactly sure what to say. It used to be so easy talking to him, but now, you find yourself speechless. “For, uh, you know, helping me back there. I don’t know what I would-”
“I didn’t want you to go on that date because I like you,” Peter interrupts, causing your lips to part in surprise as you finally meet his eyes. His cheeks are red slightly, but he takes a step towards you in determination, closing the distance between the two of you. “I don’t just like you, I think i’m in love with you. i didn’t want you going out with some guy, because I wanted it to be me taking you out on a date. I should’ve said something that day, and i’m sorry I didn’t.”
“Peter-”
“But seeing you today,” Peter cuts in, a deep frown marring his lips. “With a gun pressed against your chest... It made me realize that you could’ve died without ever knowing how much I love you. So that’s why i’m telling you now, because I need you to know.”
Silence echoes once more, and once again, you find yourself unsure on what to say. Then, realizing that you don’t need to speak to get your feelings across, you lean forward, cupping Peter’s cheeks and pressing your lips against his own. It stuns him for a moment, before he returns the kiss, wrapping his arms around your waist to pull you closer.
And when you pull back, the both of you breathless, and Peter leans his forehead against your own, you smile up at him.
“I love you too.”

Masterlist
------------------------------
Reality ceased to set in, even while attending your father’s funeral.
Your mind couldn’t process a single thing. It was like being stuck in time in a bubble while everything else was going on around you.
You couldn’t even give a eulogy. You couldn’t give anything. Not a shoulder to your more than loving step-mother, not to the little sister you just found out you had, not to Happy.
You didn’t even listen, not to that recording he left. It felt like muffles and your eyes felt as though they’d forever be foggy with tears you couldn’t seem to shed.
You couldn’t feel the distraught boy coming up the stairs to sit next to you on your bed.
You expected muffled words again, but he laced his hand into one of the ones in your lap. It was only then that you looked up at him and you felt a tear escape your eye.
His own eyes were red-rimmed, filled with sadness, but still, he gave you a watery smile, the best smile he could muster in such a time.
“It’s gonna be okay,” he whispered, “You’re- we’re, gonna be okay.”
You don’t know why a laugh escaped your throat, but you do know that you couldn’t help stopping the tears that came after.
They fell faster than ever, sobs after sobs escaping you while Peter held you close to his chest. You could feel his own body vibrating, trying to hold it together for you.
“S’not fair,” you cried, muffled by his chest, “He’s not supposed to die- She doesn’t do stupid stuff like that- S’not fair!”
“They saved the world,” he gripped your shoulders tighter, “They-,”
He cut himself off, too choked by emotion to continue.
You pulled your head away from his chest and looked at him, his face saddening impossibly more as he saw how distraught you were, “What’s the point if they aren’t here now? They’re dead. Peter, they’re not supposed to die. They’re the earth’s mightiest heroes, they’re Avengers, they can’t die.”
His mouth opened and closed, before deciding he’d let you finally begin to mourn.
“We weren’t just supposed to come back for Na- for her to just be dead on some other planet. I wasn’t supposed to come back and find out my dad’s just dead-,” your voice got louder and you stood up, “-after the last I saw him was before he got on a fucking spaceship to go to some other planet to stop a stupid fucking alien!”
Your breathing became irregular quick and you hunched over to place your hands on your knees.
“I can’t breathe-,” you inhaled sharply, “I can’t-,”
“Hey,” Peter spoke softly as hurriedly made his way to your side, “It’s okay, it’s-,”
He cupped your face with both hands to make you look at him. “Hey, look at me. We’re gonna do this together, okay? In and out, do it with me.”
Muttering in and out with each breathe, he watched you mimic his actions until you eventually calmed.
Peter brushed stray pieces of hair away from your face. “Hey.” He attempted to smile as your eyes searched one another’s in despair. “You’re okay. We’re okay.”
“It’s not fair,” you hiccuped as you attempted to shake the head that was in Peter’s hold, “It’s not fair!”
“I know.” Peter’s forehead connected with yours.
“But-,” Peter eyes closed before he realized he couldn’t even find a way to reason with you, you were right, “I know.”
What seemed like an eternity, but in reality two minutes, later of the both of you standing there and attempting to silently comfort one another, Peter spoke up, eyes still closed and forehead still connected to yours “Thor says they went to Valhalla. S’one of the realms. Heaven.”
Your eyes opened and you looked at Peter’s closed ones wearily, “Can he…”
“I don’t think so.” Peter eyes opened. “I don’t think anyone’s supposed to mess with that type of stuff.”
“I didn’t mean-,” you huffed.
“I know what you meant.” Peter softly smiled, not necessarily even directed at you. “It would be nice to know if they’re okay and happy.”
Your eyebrows furrowed and you let yourself smile a little. “Doesn’t mean they aren’t.”
Peter ran a thumb across a tear that slipped. “They’re gonna be happy wherever Valhalla is and we’re gonna be happy. It’s gonna take a while and it’s gonna hurt for a long time. I don’t think it’ll ever stop hurting but, we’ll make it through, Y/N. I promise you.”
You let out a genuine laugh through the tears that kept going no matter how hard you tried to stop, “You realize I’m not gonna let you go out there as Spiderman for a while, right?”
Peter chuckled in return, “I wasn’t gonna let you out of my sight anyways.”
