#I'd rather not clutter the caption so I'll ramble a little in the tags #HitW is short but special to me as it represents and encapsulates some hard life experiences I was going through at the time of its creatio #Ofc in a more metaphorical manner! but. I have been very much enjoying reading people's comments and speculation as its been posting #the interpretations are so meaningful and varied and i love that and really want to encourage anyone to reflect on what it means to them #for me making this comic was a way to process and move past trauma. i feel like it ends anti-climactically but i wanted to be true to #where i thought things were actually going in my life moreso than to veer towards impact. ultimately im glad i managed to finish it #and for it to finish going public right before the new year? maybe i can see this as shedding that old pain in time to become something new #so thank you for reading for supporting and for still being here. lets wake up to 2025 with wind in our sails #Home in the Woods #my art #my comics #original comic #cw guns #cw blood #cw body horror

#dungeon meshi #kabru #laios touden #falin touden #Happy Thistle Thursday once again. Have I been holding on to this comic for several weeks? Sure have!#I forgot how long it takes for Chimera Falin to come into play.#I still really love my 'better drawn' art of her - unfortunately it was several weeks too early for the anime only folks.#Slowly getting the hang of drawing Laios. I don't know why I struggle so much but I am getting...somewhere.#Meta time: God damn I love how the chimera shows off the expertise and gap between Kabru and Laios.#The truth is: they are both *right* and they are both *wrong*.#This creature is a combination of monster and human and they only have the skillset to deal with one of those.#Kabru goes for all the human vitals - but she isn't human.#Laios tries to approach her as a monster and is struck down by the humanity he sees in her.#She is something new that defies what they *both* understand about the world. And that makes her such a perfect antagonist.#The damsel was the dragon all along!#...She is really so cute though. Terrifying! But adorable. I am so excited to see the boom of fanart for her.

i turn 24 today. To celebrate, I made this comic to be a spiritual successor to lead balloon, a comic in which I talked about the darkest period of my life so far.

A lot has changed since my 23rd birthday and this one. My priorities have shifted a lot, in ways that I think are mostly good. But i think the best part about today is that suicide has gone back to being a far away notion. I'm really lucky, and I'm grateful for that.

#you may be wondering why I put so much effort into this #I'm curious too funny how these things happen sometimes #anyways I think omega has jets on his back that would let him fly but consider: he wants to Look Cool #shadow the hedgehog #rouge the bat #omega e123 #sxsg #sonic x shadow generations #team dark #sxsg spoilers #sonic #idk how long I need to tag spoilers but I'll be nice #comic #having the camera shifted towards shadow for the middle bit was a Mistake #he is soooo much harder to draw than rouge asl;dkfj #like one degree off on the eyes and it becomes unviable I swear #except for profiles ironically that first panel was easy as hell #looking back on this I love how I Completely changed how I drew rouge's wings after the first panel #I think the difference was I just swapped refs and her character model was different lol #meanwhile I'm just blatantly cheating shadow's wings for the middle panel purely to fit them in at all #I truly love how oversized they are except for when I'm trying to make a readable composition #yet another reason he should've been back to the camera rather than facing it in the middle but so it goes #my art #doodles

How he intimidates the basilisk. General fascination with creatures and their behaviours.#This is a man who is would not be a furry per say but would own a fursuit for the fascination of the craft.#Laios is the guy in the forums rating people's hybrid fursonas for nothing but the love of creatures.#Dog Laios would use his powers to go into dog-free restaurants.#That human impression is so good. One might say 'Woah who's that confident hairy guy? Alright boss; in you go.'#He would be the no.1 customer of a New York Deli that has no legal business license but makes the best sandwiches in the city.#“Would Senshi run it?” I think he would also be a dog in this theoretical AU. Which...makes the scene even funnier actually.#A comic in which everyone is dogs was never something I thought I'd make but here we are!#Marcille is a borzoi (elf of dogs). Tolden siblings are golden lab-retrievers.#Senshi is a scottish terrier. Chilchuck is harder; I need to think on that one. Another terrier perhaps.#Happy Thistle Thursday once again. I hope this comic makes someone laugh half as much as I did while drawing it.

Pediatrician damian except he treats every kid with the same amount of respect and attentiveness that he would give an adult.

Pediatrician damian who will tell parents with barely concealed distaste to shut up when they talk over their children during an appointment.

Pediatrician damian who is always watching his patients, searching for if the injury they got from "falling" is actually just that or if the injury has to do with the impatient and anxious parents nearby.

Pediatrician Damian who cares so SO much about every kid and who he learns to be comforting and gentle for because he doesn't want to cause them any more anxiety before their flu shots.

Pediatrician damian who is still a hero at heart and who has kicked ass when his hospital was briefly taken hostage by rogues. Who immediately jumped into a fight because the crying of tiny terrified children echoed in his ears and he was filled with enough righteous anger his 10 year old self would stagger.

Pediatrician damian who does everything in his power to make sure every kid who needs it gets Healthcare.

Pediatrician damian who refers to his patients as his kids.
