Tokyo Debunker OC lore dump!!

I made a Tokyo Debunker OC like all the other cool people in the fandom😼

I am no artist but I tried!!! it's hard to draw when you're a decaying zombie with rigor mortis :/

woo hoo time for a lore dump!!

Her name is Allister (just like me bc it's the best name ever!! defiantly not cus I'm bad with names!) and she's a member of Jabberwock (and by proxy, a ghoul)

Allister's stigma is kinda similar to Jin's? just a little. She can compel people to do things, but it doesn't work best on *people*. Her stigma works better on lower-intelligence creatures which is why she's so good with animals.

Also it's not apart of her being a ghoul, but shes immune to almost all poisons, venoms, and disease cus she's a special snowflake!! She often pesters Yuri to do research on this condition of hers so she has an excuse to hang around Mortkranken and see Jiro.

Allister is a transfer student from America. She moved to Japan after a certain incident... *foreshadows tragic backstory*...

Her special artifact is a butterfly knife that can shrink and grow. It's just barely sentient , so she can control it with her stigma. She often uses it like a boomerang. She also named her artifact "Billie"

Allister is incredibly researched in Cryptozoology and all matters relating to the undead. She's also pretty good with just regular zoology and biology, but she sucks ass in everything else.

She takes care of an anomalous octopus she claims was "gifted to her by The Mighty Cthulhu" (she found it while on a mission). Allister decided "this is my child now" and named the octopus "Kithy". Kithy isn't a baby kraken like Calamari, but he's relatively the same size. Kithy isn't dangerous at all, just very, VERY mischievous. Allister's stigma is why she's such a good candidate to be Kithy's caretaker and in Jabberwock in general. Though she doesn't really have to use her stigma on Kithy since he sees her as her mom anyways. She prefers to work with reptiles, but she loves all animals.

As you may have noticed, Alli is an emo kween 🖤🩸⛓️ She accessorizes to high hell (ignore that she doesn't have many in the artwork) and enjoys pushing the boundaries of the Darkwick dress code >:3

About that tragic backstory I teased a few paragraphs ago.... She left America because her vampire fianceé was murdered by her rival, Lucy. Lucy is this bitch that just likes to fuck with Allister cus she can. "haha I killed the women you were gonna have turn you into a vampire and marry". Typical Lucy shenanigans!!!

Allister, unlike me, is not a lazy decaying zombie, so she does her part to help around Jabberwock - mainly trying to pick up Ren's slack. I imagine the two of them have a sibling-rivarly-like relationship. Also their rooms are right next to each other so they like annoying the other with their music/movie volume.

Allister gets along with the other members of Jabberwock too - she gets along with most people. Except for the Sinostra members.... she despises them for being "the cool ones who get red in their uniform". She also doesn't really like Yuri that much but she sucks up to him anyways so he's more likely to let her hang around Mortkranken

Speaking of uniforms- Allister is constantly changing her fit depending on where she's doing. There's her school uniform, of course, and The Jumpsuit..., but she also has a casual fits she likes to wear when working around the park, usually made up of a band tee and jean shorts. Whenever she's loitering helping out at Mortkranken, she wears a cute little red velvet bodycon dress and a lab coat. Whenever she's out on missions, she goes all out on the wardrobe too. She's a little fashionista ✨

final tidbit of lore for her - Her favorite flower is the Spider Lily, which is also the nickname Towa calls her. There's a lot of meaning to spider lilies. Rebirth and renewal, eternal separation, paying tribute to the dead, and I think all of those really suit her.

I put a lot of love and crying over my lack of art skills into her, so I hope you guys like her at least a little bit 🫶🫶🫶

Okay so I'm making this here to not interrupt the flow of discord and to keep myself to something because I tend to do that better when its written down- it will pinned too

these are mostly to answer faq, updates to the blog, and maybe a lil fun section- using icons to help with tone but im trying for neutral positive

I do appreciate those who reached out and asked. (Ily you all for real), To answer I'm okay. I just been having weird brain things but nothing really bad pinky promise.

2) Why did you drop (x)

So I can't answer every person I dropped (Fly high all of them). But I was like feeling a bit overwhelmed, this isn't to say i didn't enjoy any connections i had more like "hey this a bit challenging" so I dropped some.

3) Will they return?

Wellllll some might some might not. But I think two-three right now is my max. When Lysander will return exactly time will tell. I'm sorry for a lack of clear answer.

Tdlr for this section, School and State Testing sucks, lifes a bit overwhelming and I kinda want to steer my focus on that. It was a really hard decision but I kinda had to do it you know

Okay so I'd say 5 because it really depends!!! Sometimes I love editing and it's a joy to retool what I've put down and other times it's this insanely tedious task that makes me want to cry lmao

It's honestly hard to say. Especially because I'm blanking. Given that a lot of my fandoms are set at particular times, I'd say hyperspecific details, e.g. what trees would be found in Los Angeles in 1987. The funniest thing is sometimes I do all that and end up not using any of it.

Jfirnrir okay so it's a bit convoluted lol but basically one of my earliest usernames was something like "mystical-cthulhu-has-yuri-swagic" or something ridiculous like that. I can't remember what I changed it to after that but I remembered thinking that I needed to keep some parts of the url for continuity-sake. This essentially turned into a game of telephone where I kept less and less of the URL before eventually "deciding" (I'll be honest it's actually a compulsion lmao) that I had to have "mystical" in my URL. And I made a new ao3 account in like 2020 (or 2021?) because I decided to get back into fic writing and I can never remember my ao3 username off the top of my noggin but it has sad girl in it and I decided when I started to post about my fics here that i should incorporate part of my ao3 handle into my URL for cohesion because people were always like "wait that's you? You're the person that wrote that" lmao. Sad Girl is because I'm naturally melancholic.

This is one of those lyrical, magical pieces that sticks with you after you read it. From the first words of the summary to the last words of the fic, the writing in this is like the light of souls it depicts: true and bright. I would recommend this to pretty much anyone, including people who aren’t YOI fans. I think about it a lot.

in which otabek is a (dog loving) criminal by sshibal

Otabek and Seung-gil’s ridiculous friendship, plus the tact that this fic revolves around Otabek sucking at lying and an illegal dog-cuddling enterprise, makes this one of the funnest things I’ve ever read. You can tell the author carefully pinpointed every opportunity to make the reader laugh, and then took it.

The Tale of Two Yuris by Thia (Jennaria)

I love fairytale AUs, and this one is special to me because of the style. It’s one part traditional fairytale, one part sly humor, and it makes excellent use of both Yuris.

It’s Phichit/Chris fake dating. At his sister’s wedding. Surrounded by people they have to fool 24/7. And if that doesn’t sell you, let me just say: this is some of the best characterization of Phichit and Chris I’ve read anywhere. It’s funny. It makes you feel like you’re actually at the beach with these two losers. If you don’t ship Phichit/Chris, this fic will probably convert you.

Crowned in Silver by Adelth

What would have happened if Viktor didn’t cut his hair? This fic turns that mysterious haircut into a chance to explore Viktor: his relationship with his career, with Yuuri, and of course: with himself. This is one of my favorite Viktor-centric fics.

I Like Me Better (When I'm With You) by whatsup_buttercup

I love omegaverse aus, I love soft, heartwarming romances, and I love it when the conflict in a fic is solely based on Yuuri’s inability to remember anything that happens when he’s drunk. This fic has all three and it knows how to use them. 

winner, winner by crossroadswrite

This fic takes a mildly hilarious premise and takes to the logical--and incredibly funny--conclusion. I also love that the author took one of Yuuri’s canon traits--he hates losing--and flipped it in the funniest way possible: clearly Yuuri is turned on by winning.

i long and seek after by kevystel

This take of Eros and Psyche is strange and twisted. It opens midway through the story and drags you in. The language is precise and evocative. This is one of those fics that I read once for pleasure and a second time to dissect, because the writing is so interesting that I want to learn from it.

Let's Say You Left a Lasting Impression by fmo

I remember the exact moment I finished reading this, because I immediately sent it to all of my friends. It features matching tattoos, the phrase “Cthulhu-level hangover”, an social media post that escalates, and also the phrase “the gorgeous Loch Ness Monster of the skating world”. This is one of those fics i have downloaded for a pick me up.

There was this ineffable way that the light kisses him, like the gods worshiped the very man that was standing next to him. Unreal. Too unreal.

The growling is back again, hungry, thrashing, Viktor gulps back more wine. Yuuri looks at him, smile soft enough to send Viktor hurdling over the edge.

“The view is great, yes?”

Upon the notes [Fluff] It all started with a dance on a sun-soaked balcony. Or maybe it was with the harsh smack of a door to the face. Or maybe it started with the adventures of a panty-thieving cat. Or maybe with a drunken kiss tangled in blonde wig hair.

Whenever it started, it doesn’t look like it’s ending anytime soon.Yuuri’s dancing on the balcony again and Viktor takes advantage.Yuuri’s singing along this time, turned away as he’s watering his flowers. Viktor props himself up on the banister, lazing his head on a knotted hand. Yuuri’s voice goes pitchy to match the song. It’s unpleasantly shrill, but genuine. Viktor warms. He slowly lilts his voice out with Yuuri’s, delights in the sound as the two become one on a note. Until Yuuri notices.

He jolts, spins around and spills the rest of his water over the side of the balcony. There’s a splash and somebody’s cursing him from down below, but he’s stuck, frozen in obvious mortification.

“Please don’t stop on my account.”

Or the Neighbor’s AU that got a little out of hand.

Cherry wood and golden robes [Fluff/Angst] When the up-and-coming Japanese wizard Yuuri Katsuki arrives in Sochi for his most important duelling competition so far, he expects to flub his duel, embarrass himself, and panic. He doesn’t expect to exceed his own expectations and gain a rival in the process.

Gentleman caller [Fluff/Angst] Late 1800’s* AU in which Victor Nikiforov and Yuri Katsuki are two men who are somehow both under the impression that the other is the suitor in their game of seduction.

Basically, two idiots enter into mutual pining and don’t understand that someone has to make the first move.

*Homophobia and sexism don’t exist in this historical AU because NOPE.

Let’s Say You Left a Lasting Impression [Fluff] The morning after the GPF banquet in Sochi, Yuuri wakes up with no memory of the previous night, a Cthulhu-level hangover, and … a tattoo on his abs? Oh god. Did he get a drunk tattoo in Russia??

Shy, Reclusive, and Unfathomable Loch Ness Serpent, “Nessie”

Some think that her eccentric obsession with privacy is just that. We now know that it masks a life of debauchery.  Our Scottish Correspondent was finally able to pin her down to a live interview about her alleged affairs.

When asked about the rumor that Bat Boy was her illegitimate child with her secret paramour, the Siberian Yeti, she assures us that there is no truth to it.

“I have not been intimate with that biped.  I was only in contact with the Siberian Yeti (Yuri) because I was attempting to find my running mate, Bigfoot.  Yuri is his Uncle.  The Bat Boy is NOT my offspring.  Yuri is also not planning on hacking the computing devices used in this election to alter the outcome in any way. But what about Cthulhu and the Kraken?  Nessie is silent for a long moment before responding.  “We were young, wild, and so much in love. It was a different age, [with] different social mores.  The world was a different place then.  I got to see the softer, gentler side of that crazy elder creature.  When we split up, Kraken needed to go with his father.  He really didn’t do well with fresh water, and Loch Ness was really too small and parochial for him.  Since then, Cthulhu has become more of the apocalyptic evil than the happy-go-lucky guy I knew then.”

We asked if she still has contact with Cthulhu, and if running against him now is causing difficulties in that relationship.

“We haven’t really talked much in the last couple thousand years, so even though he was once the love of my life, we are really strangers now.  Kraken has gone off to sulk somewhere in the depths of the seas (he’s so moody) and it really is all in the past.  I think that the world isn’t ready for the end of times, and I am the better candidate.  I think the Steampunk voters will show that.  It may cause some strain next Holiday season, though.  You really never know how Cthulhu will react these days.”

Well, whether we truly believe that Bat Boy is not her love child, it is good to finally lay to rest the question of the connection between Nessie and Cthulhu.  We extend our sympathies to what is likely to be a very tense time for both of them as they face off for the presidency.

Day 11 Accomplishment Challenge

Oh my goodness, how good does a day off feel?  Like enough to just about explode over.  So happy.

Okay, so I started the day by not leaving my bed for 3 hours.  I’m a bum, what can I say?  Afterwards, I prepped a bunch of food for lunches to last me into next week.  I love cooking one pot dishes and I’m kinda on a pasta salad kick.  So I’ll switch between a creamy tomato and spinach pasta and a southwest pasta salad with chicken nuggets for at least another week.  Feels good to have food prepped again.  I won’t be so tempted to just buy lunch.

Then I sat down and got a bit of sewing done.  It’s not super perfect, I didn’t really do a whole lot.  I started the rest of the History Maker Yuri body, sewed the last Practice skate arm and started stuffing.  Stuffing is really not my favorite part so I may have trailed off and read fanfic instead of finishing that for a while.  

I did open up my BBOI fic and I wrote a bit of a conversation.  I’m happy with a couple hundred words.  I also feel a bit better about the last bit I wrote, where I was waffling between is this too much, should I take this out?  Is it a good idea for this to start off so weird?  The follow up conversation made everything seem more natural, so I’m ready to keep going.  

Last thing I did was a bit of relaxing knitting.  I’m about to go back to the last bit of stuffing (arms for days...7 more arms...they’re so tiny and require extra work). I just had to share my favorite pair of knitting needles though.  These were a birthday gift a couple years back.  My housemate had carved these awesome Cthulhu heads.  He couldn’t decide how he wanted to make them or mass-produce them (he had short lived aspirations of selling these) so he just gave everything he made to me.  I love buying bulky yarn just so I have an excuse to use these needles.  Also because bulky means short projects. LOL

And to top it all off, I did sneak in almost 2 hours of FFXV (two more chapters down) and Emo King is...still fucking Emo.  God, what have you done to my Ignis though!  He’s like Daredevil blind though so I’m not complaining.  Now I require like all of the Ignis merch. 

All in all, today was a resounding success.  I did stuff without feeling awful because I relaxed like crazy.  Tomorrow I’m supposed to go out and have tea with my mother-in-law.  That’s always weird (she won’t speak English around me enough), but I love going so I’m going to enjoy myself.  I looooooooove tea and I need to restock on some new ones.  Any recommendations for herbal and fruity?
