okay, okay, okay. so i have like. three favorite pairs of socks for different occasions. this is perfectly normal of me. i have my sneaker socks, which are my like. black ankle socks, BUT specifically the ones i just got because they have a little bit of compression in them and 10/10. then we got the Tall Socks, and those are the blue ones with the purple ufos. comfy. little funky design. perfect. AND THEN for boot socks its my blue nike socks i've had for like. 8 years. that are supposed to be basketball socks. but they're thick and warm and also have some compression in them and yeeeees

Chris (Hartley, that was, thank God), raised his own hands then, shaking them and his head as if he couldn't decide which would piss her off less. "Hey, whoa, slow your roll, I wasn't judging your act of wanton violence! Holy cow, no way - my girlfriend's a big fan of stabbing, like, with anything she can get her hands on, really - so I wasn't saying like, 'Augh, oh my God, how could you do that?!,' it was more like 'Wow, how interesting, please tell me more!'" he explained, and no part of that helped her feel...any better about what was going on, but if nothing else, it was a relief that she wasn't the only one getting weird looks from the others now.

I just needed to share and rant a little about how much the idea of Billy loving to watch Steve move is taking over my brain. Like yes he's competitive and Billy's gonna be a star (or otherwise implode) but stupid Steve hooks him every time he moves and drags Billy into his orbit hissing and spitting. And that's half of the reason he's such an ass in the beginning. Just looking for reasons to be close and opportunities to push, wind Steve up and watch him go off like a flash of lightning. Healthy? Well adjusted? Fuck no. But Harrington falls for the bait every time. Billy's self esteem is so low that it never occurs to him that might be because Steve's watching too. Just making excuses to stay close and opportunities to push back.

Also dancing off your demons in work boots is very Billy coded.
