things that annoy me about the common fanon take on the loki-thanos situation (naming them to try and get some distance)

lack of ambiguity. outright force from everyone from the first moment, no bargaining or deal-cutting or bus-throwing or other morally ambiguous behaviour from loki, not even the *illusion* of choice, so even if loki *feels* responsible, the audience can easily (indeed, must) absolve him of absolutely everything and say it Simply Was Not Him.

the idea that the thanos situation changed loki fundamentally. that loki wasn't ALREADY primed to get in situations exactly like that; that he hadn't COME from a situation very much like thanos' captivity but better at hiding it. that thanos is more than just another echo of odin. -_-
