#you could have it so much better#franz ferdinand#franzfeb#probably not bye#音楽#gif#my gifs#i am certainly most definitely biased towards this album#bc it's one of the Big 3 albums that my mom played in the car when i was growing up#at that impressionable age where you begin connecting to music for the very 1st time#i've talked about it before but i distinctly remember sitting in the backseat listening to the fallen & reading clarice bean#i won't go into why it's the perfect album to accompany clarice bean but. just know that it is.#(hint: ruby redfort/i'm your villain parallels)#but anyway! i got really into them again after my family moved for the 1st time#i was a super angsty teenager who had just made the jump from classic rock -> alternative/post punk#i was homesick all the time but ff not only offered a place to filter out those feelings but their music felt comfortable & familiar#and at the same time electrifying !#i listened to this album over & over & over again#and watched this footage from the dual disc just as much#the bike riding sequence? the axe-throwing? nick's exasperated 'rubbish' alskdjflslkdlfjjk#the way they talk about their creative approach to music#i love them & this album so dearly
