Say about red vs blue whatever you want but it is fucking comedy gold. The dialog is hilarious, dumb and clever at once and the flow is amazing and the interactions so organic (also the voice acting is A+). And season 6? Reconstructions?

Like, the shift of it. Its still silly and dumb and they are so far from competent but putting agent Washington into the mix is soo good. Like before it was a bunch of bumbling fools trying to deal with whatever dumb shit but really not wanting to and generally making things worse. Now you have wash who is driven and goal oriented and driving the narrative compared to the blood gulch crew who was mostly unwillingly draffed along by the narrative (and now Wash lol).

And the back and forth of the chairmans and the directors letter? The way it gives us crombs and little implication but not really any explanation but as time goes on you can slowly puzzle it all together. The ever growing hostility and intensity of the exchange. The way it all falls into place at the revelation of the ai. The impact of washs line of “You are the alpha” (and frankly how fucking hilarious churchs reaction was).

The joke about the reds deleting the blues from the database as just something dumb they did that just happened to stop wash from proving church was an ai but actually shaped the story so much. Causing wash to end up in prison because he had nothing to prove his story and argue his case. The fact the unsc couldn’t take epsilon because they didn’t know about caboose. How wash could use that as leverage lately.

And yeah, it does not yet have the same amazing action scenes we get from this one goes to eleven on or anything but damn, the confrontation between wash, the director, the consoler and the meta was still so intense, like goddamit.

The line “And while the law has many penalties for the atrocities we inflict on others, there are no punishments for the terrors that we inflict on ourselves.”? Uff…

And by then, you know, right? But still the absolute gut punch of the seasons final words

Now if you'll excuse me I need to go blow up this dead body”#the worst throw ever. of all time #the “did you miss me” one is still amazing #thank you for activating emp 💀

every freaking day brother 🤝

#i love doing that thing where you flood your vision with a primary colour and exhaust the cells in your eyes that perceive it #and then when you look away for a little while afterwards you can't see that colour (or at least it's a lot more muted in comparison)#i mean it's kinda like giving yourself temporary colour blindness but i love messing with my perception of reality #gives me a better understanding and appreciation of the world outside of my own subjective experience #and in the case of the colour thing specifically it's like. when something's missing you appreciate it more #as well as noticing things you may not have before and gaining appreciation for them too #it's a very grounding experience imo. seeing the mundane again through almost literally a new set of eyes #even if it is through artificially limiting your senses for a time #i mean if a shrimp that sees 16 primary colours or something got limited to just what we see for a little bit #would it not be able to appreciate those last three primaries so much more?#would it not even more greatly appreciate the breadth of colours it sees normally?#i like this ask a lot actually fksjks ^^#askmuck

I absolutely adore Helene and Lyla's relationship in both iterations of TME's story and i NEED more qpt gal relationships like theirs is i s2g

it's really, REALLY hard to get me sincerely invested in relationships between female characters but damn am i invested in this one.

Something about a do-good heroine who is abnormally hostile only towards her own half-sister for seemingly no reason (read: "no reason") is a dynamic i can't get enough and seeing Lyla constantly make efforts in both the manhwa/LN to reach out to her is so bittersweet and yet amazingly well done

(and i can't praise enough how amazing Helene is handled as a deeply flawed female character!!! She's genuinely the best written female character ive seen and i wish more gals were written as amazing as she is TwT)

#TME art #i love how i started this PMV before I read the LN and yet this still reads as canon-adherent #to both the manhwa and LN at that #also behold: the reason why i rely on CSP's head models to draw #technically i have a Paris-centered PMV im working on too but i flip between that one and this depending on my time and mood #fun fact i technically have a fake ending i've started working on too but idk if ill get to finish that one #point is i LOVE TME and i wanna keep giving it love even despite my wandering attention span and lack of time to draw #my favorite thing is watching people hate on Helene and clearly miss the point of her character in that she's just a young woman-#greatly traumatized by her childhood and has no proper way to cope or come to terms with her own feelings while surrounded by parents who-#hate her or want to manipulate her + with a sister who betrayed her + siblings who are morally bankrupt #+ literally her only friend (read: “friend”) is a psychopathic dragon whose dubious behavior towards her is more harmful than helpful #+ she's still the child whose own actions led to the person kindest towards her getting killed bc of her & her little sister “betraying” he #and she's never quite been able to grow up or come to terms with those feelings hence why she lashes out while longing for love #(and god do i hope it's Paris who helps bridge the gap between Helene and Lyla and in doing so we see him grow as a person)#(look i just want Paris to get kicked in the ass with character development and for him to truly see Helene as someone he cares for)#(bc as he is now he clearly just has surface-level puppy love towards Helene that has the potential to go somewhere and i hope it does)#(ESPECIALLY BECAUSE THE LN GIVES MORE THAN ENOUGH MATERIAL TO HAVE MADE THEM CANON)#(UGH IM STILL UPSET ABOUT THAT THE LN /LITERALLY/ SAID THEY MATCH EACH OTHER AND THEN DIDN'T MAKE IT CANON COME ON)#anyways it's like midnight now but yeah i LOVE TME can u tell #and could probs write whole character studies on all the characters with how deep they are in the manhwa alone holy shit

Just had a lizard funeral. We have a fuck ton of lizards living in our yard (which me and my family all love) and an easily excitable dog that likes chasing small things (whom we also love), so we knew it was only a matter of time before we got our first casualty. For the most part he’s left them entirely alone, and we really weren’t too worried cause like. they’re lizards. and he’s a fifty pound pug bulldog. but we lost our first soldier today 😔
