I definitely agree that a lot of that diss track at the end is Kotoko also projecting her insecurities onto the other prisoners, not only calling them out rather shallowly, but also just the fact that her voice breaks right at the end??? The way in which she ends with Es, who is supposed to be her foil and the one she calls an “unloved warden” it’s like damn Kotoko you couldn’t be more apparent with the way you were probably treated back then huh 😭
I wanted to try and analyze the diss track more tbh LMAO but I don’t think we have enough information to really draw some good comparisons between Kotoko and the other prisoners for that. I can totally see some similarities for a few of them, but for others it’s a bit more unclear (Yuno is one of them like you mentioned). But these are the ones that come to my mind for Kotoko’s similarities with everyone else:
Haruka - hatred of childhood self because they were too weak (I just realized this but the fact that Haruka’s t1 song is called Weakness omg)
Yuno - ??? (I have no idea for this one tbh 😭 my best guess would be that they’re both hiding behind a mask, so their true selves are obscured a lot of the times)
Futa - ideals and handing out their own form of justice
Mu - putting yourself above everyone else in order to protect yourself, thinking that you were in the right and that you have done nothing wrong
Shidou - ??? (This one I’m speculating that family might be their similarity considering Kotoko’s symbolism with wolves and them being pack animals but I’m not completely sure. Another one could possibly be failing to save someone close to you if Kotoko did have someone close to her back then who she lost)
Mahiru - love and forgiveness
Kazui - lies and deceit, massive self-hatred (sorry Kazui 💀)
Amane - how the cycle of cruelty affects you and how Kotoko is a mirror of what Amane could be when she's older
Mikoto - protection through action(?) is the best way I can describe it, like with how they both use their own physical strength to protect either themselves or others
Es - foil in the narrative and holding up one’s duty
It’s very obvious though I feel like in Yonah, just with the way Kotoko switches up so easily with Es, it really makes you wonder if she never had that kind of emotional stability with an adult. Always changing, never predictable with what they’re gonna do or how they’re gonna react, so you have to watch them closely, just like how Kotoko does for everyone else in the prison.
When Kotoko thinks Es is being weak, she calls them out. When they are in clear distress, she wants to hug them, comfort them no matter what and reassure them that she will continue to act as their fang and do the “dirty work”. It’s like you said, she probably hated her childhood self for being weak, but she still wanted the comfort, she still wanted the protection she never got. So she gives it to Es because she probably sees a lot of her childhood self in them.
I didn't notice that similarity before with Mahiru not wanting to admit that she's not okay, so she crumbles underneath the pressure of trying to be continuously happy, just like how Kotoko is crumbling underneath the weight of justice. Interesting!!!
Also her having a difficult time trying to relax so she spends her free time mediating is an interesting detail from this interrogation:
And in Harrow, her movements are quick like a flinch but she seems like she's on edge a lot of the times too:
Constantly looking over her shoulder as if someone is there watching her:
Idk it's just all very interesting! I know people are looking forward to Undercover callbacks in the Deep Cover mv but tbh I just want Kotoko lore man 😭 I NEED MORE LORE
Kotoko lives to protect the weak. In her mind she serves the weak but the weak also serve her. They are her reason to live. Saving them makes her feel good about herself. She exists to save the weak and the weak exist to giving her a propose.
mahiru lives to love her boyfriend/be a good wife. She exists for him and their relationship by extension him exists to give her a reason to exist.
idk if this makes sense
but its like the idea of how they have formed their identities off of loving/saving other people but end up hurting those people because What they wanted was a propose and to fulfil their desire to the point they hurt and disregarded the party they were trying to protect/love. Kotoko wanted to punish the “evil” and mahiru wanted to be this ideal wife
Its not about what the boy friend needs in the relationship (not cake) it’s about mahiru loving him.
its not about what the weaklings want its about kotoko protecting them.
#THIS WILL BE THE KOTOKO MASTER THREAD POST WITH MAHIRU COMPARISONS LMAO#WE NEED TO ADD TO THIS WHEN DEEP COVER MV COMES OUT#the betrayal part and connecting it with the story of red riding hood makes so much sense omg#also the lyrics in antibeat and streaming heart seem to suggest not only her self-hatred but also a “true self” she is continuing to hide#also thank you so much omg 😭 I forgot to mention one thing with Mahiru and Kotoko so I'll just addendum it here#but the fact that Mahiru is the only person to *forgive* Kotoko I just wonder what she thinks of that#I wonder what she thinks of someone who is considered guilty to her *forgive* her despite it all#will Mahiru be a representation of that kind of weakness she despises so much aka love?#also another aside but I like so how both of their hairstyles are opposites#with Kotoko's hair parting to the left covering her left eye and Mahiru's to the right covering her right eye it's so cute#gonna put this in references because this is such a good analysis thread of them <3#deep cover spoilers#yonah spoilers#milgram#kotoko yuzuriha#mahiru shiina#references#fave#long post

The Doll Filled with Love (I'm Stitch Dot Analysis/Theory)
roma :(
full eng lyrics
LYRICS
This is honestly tricky to clearly put into words but the general idea is that Romarriche is (like) a doll. Whether it's to be taken literally or not isn't clear. He is like Marroncream's doll, a product of her love (which also explains why her kingdom sees her as more of a "mother"). As a doll, he can't express the same emotions back to her, but he appears almost desperate to do so.
"Why is man born sewn together? As it covers up the chest" = Why can't a doll show it has a heart, already being sewn with a complete/covered up body
"Stitches" are how Romarriche shows his love, as he can't express them naturally like a regular fairy would. Each thread filled with his inner thoughts and tenderly putting something back together or connecting with someone.
But his own stitches also make up his wounds. He gives himself these wounds as a reminder of what "love" feels like
The cat's cradle could be talking about that infinite string game, meaning Romarriche could be doomed to always eventually forget what love is.
A bit similar to Ever Red - " "Once the ribbon is tied, the knot marks are still there." Once pain is inflicted, the wounds and memories are still there. "
Except this time the wounds are intentional, a permanent memory of love, something Romarriche needs to keep.
"I'm Stitch Dot" = Romarriche is filled with these threads/wounds of "love", but is that really enough to fully express genuine love? The threads could still unravel and break, making Romarriche lose everything all over again. He needs to unravel himself, learn of the real heart inside the doll.
VOICE DRAMA DETAIL
The thing is. after noticing these things it's easier to see how "emotionally flat" Romarriche is in the voice dramas now. He's always calm and gentle with occassional laughter and tonal changes, but overrall it's hard to decipher what emotion he truly feels. Even when fighting the seed he didn't sound all that angry he was kinda just like. "You. Get out. Now."
MV
The mv is scattered with roses (most obviously because it's a symbol for Marroncream's kingdom). Outside of romance, red roses symbolize hope, passion, admiration, and deep commitment. Similarly, white roses symbolize purity and loyalty.
The red threads in the 1st image also look similar to spider webs. Each string is needed to keep the entire web stable, which can represent the experiences and lessons Romarriche (the web itself) has been through on his goal to express true love.
The backgrounds in most of the mv are patchwork fabrics, showing the various aspects that make up "Romarriche" as a whole.
BONUS
PURUROMA W ROMA STRUGGLING WITH EXPRESSING EMOTIONS VS PURUTH BEING THE EMBODIMENT OF THE EMOTION OF JOY IN THIS ESSAY I WILL-
If taken literally and Romarriche PHYSICALLY IS a doll (created by Marroncream), he can be considered as Marroncream's masterpiece and she has pictures of him hanged up everywhere 🥹
YOU KNOW HOW I USED TO PUT LYRICS AT THE END OF MY ANALYSIS POSTS THAT START TO HIT HARDER AFTER READING THE ENTIRE THING. WELL I JUST DID THAT AND GOT ANOTHER THOUGHT. Marroncream is saying the line below, saying she'll fix Romarriche up everytime he wants to relearn love 🥹🥹🥹🥹🥹🥹
I'll sew you my love over and over again
#future romarriche nui havers. treat him well.#romarriche chaco and louter should all go to group therapy. or kiss. either works#fragaria memories#fragmem#fragaria memories theory#romarriche#merold#puruth

The Ultimate LSK Threads Of Koincidences (2020) Part 1
Ok, since there's soooo much. I'll do it by years and link the other.
See Fall 2019 before reading this one (X)
As I did in the other, I'll link posts that explains certain piece of Kaylor Lore so you are able to better understand certain Koincidences. So if there's an (X) beside something, it's to give more context and info.
Here's the list of every Koincidences that happened in 2020.
If I forgot something, don't hesitate to tell me and I'll add it so we have everything!
Here's the amazing masterposts that helped me a lot make this part (X) (X)
January 2020
January 1st:
Karlie does a 2019 recap video on Klossy and says something really inchteresting about her second wedding:
"Kind of had a second wedding, but, it was pretty much just a party"
youtube
January 17th:
Karlie went did an interview with Andy Cohen and she talks about her "Love Story" and there's just sooo much to unpack there:
"This is quite a Love Story actually"
"I met my man in 2012" (The "I love Karlie Kloss! I want to bake cookies with her" is from 2012) See my before 2013 Kaylor timeline (X)
Also Karlie saying "my man" to "that's my man, every bait and switch was a work of art"
"It's not been easy, but it's worth it" I'm - 🥹🥹🥹
"I would make that same decision a million times again" ties pretty well with "For you I would ruin myself, a million little times"
youtube
January 31st:
Miss Americana is out.
Karlie is credited in the movie. There's a scene where you see a glimpse of her at the AMAs red carpet.
But most importantly... the Call It What You Want scene:
youtube
Soooo much to unpack on that scene.
Some say that with the reflections on the guitar, you see a woman. But that's not the most important thing.
First.
There's a littelal Easter egg:
Second.
She's wearring the Victoria Secret Angel Ring.
Source : Tily Nation
But the most important evidence is that when Taylor lifts her foot and you hear someone laughing singing: "I did one thing right"
It's not Taylor, it's Karlie.
Someone isolated the vocals and you can hear it very clearly (X)
(Putting the video here just so if the post is deleted, we don't loose it)
Source @lexiiieee223
Also, when by the end Taylor sings "Karlie would you want to?" you hear Karlie say "Yes!" before Taylor even finishes singing (impossible to be Taylor).
This whole scene is used in the Lover Lyrics Video (X)
February 2020:
February 12:
Karlie is papped during New York Fashion Week wearing a daisy coat. (X).
February 18:
Karlie post a story with a drawing of the dress Taylor wore for the NFL ME! announcement...for Galentine's day:
February 27:
The Man MV is out with tons of Karlie's reference. (sadly I did not do a thread yet about all of it).
But the most important part is the fake wedding:
No one's there to officiate it.
But the absolute loudest thing of all is this:
Look closely at the ring. The pose. Everything.
See my Love Blackout post for more information on this, because this is LOUD (X)
February 28:
Every year since the Love Locked Down (X), Karlie takes a picture in Paris around that time.
Here's a thread of all the times since 2015: (X)
March 2020:
March 3rd:
Karlie post during a vacation. In the exact same snow outfit that Taylor posed in for Variety 4 months before.
And March 3d is also really really close to their anniversary...
March 20th:
Karlie's first post since Lockdown.
Also, first post of 2020 where she is wearring the Amulette de Cartier. (X) (Very important!)
You can also see those amazing posts about it (X) (X)
May 2020:
May 7th:
Taylor wears a daisy shirt on her Instagram post:
May 5th:
Karlie makes a post about a Turkey Baster...
Right aroung the time where she would have been trying to get pregnant for Levi to be born on March 11th 2020.
May 10th:
Taylor does a post for Mother's day with a video and caption talking about her being 10 months old.
(Levi is born 10 months later).
May 13th:
Eye theory in Karlie's Instagram story. (X)
March 14:
Taylor does a very interesting post about Buns in the oven.
9 days after Karlie's Turkey Baster post.
There's 10 buns on the picture, Levi was born 10 months later.
June 2020:
June 25th:
Karlie does a post about forgetting to feed the Tamagotchi.
Interesting. Considering that in Miss Americana, Taylor compares babies to Tamagotchis...
July 2020:
July 10th :
Karlie post a video on Instagram dancing in a cardigan in a forest. 13 days before Folklore's release.
Wich is practically identical to a video Taylor did for Folklore.
Taylor's Cardigan video:
Karlie's :
July 16:
Karlie does a story about her July Klossy Run Club with a calendar.
Her pfp points directly to Folklore's release date:
July 17:
Karlie post an interesting Instagram picture with a Sun Flower that is very reminescent of the Lover photoshoot Taylor did witht the daisy.
Also. Eye theory.
This is 7 days before Folklore's release.
Do you see the ressemblance?
July 23rd:
Karlie does a post with pictures of her in the forest à la Folklore.
This prompted a lot of medias to talk about how Karlie was showing her support to Taylor for her new album release.
I've reached my limit of 30 images per post!
Tumblr agrees with me that these girls are A LOT 😅 (In the best way!).
Here's the link to Part 2! : (X)

BPP!
I won’t even beat around the bush. This is a Jimin Fishing ask inspired by this lovely Twitter thread:
https://twitter.com/pjmngallery/status/1671537322075082753?s=46&t=0p2xrEO4ePcaUttUPmcMmA
So BPP, please do us the honour and drop your Jimin is so sexy pictures 😋
***
Hi Anon,
Your link.
I appreciate you being upfront about this being a fishing ask. But rather than post pictures as I usually do, I'd rather fill you all in on what I've been doing recently.
I've been watching fancams...
Jikook and rapline member fancams, specifically. Because, before anything else, I'm a fan (ARMY), and I need my fix of their god-tier performances on a regular basis. Coincidentally, I was going through my playlist of Jimin fancams before deciding to open up my Tumblr on a whim to answer a random ask, and yours seems most appropriate for what I was just doing.
So without further ado,
Jimin:
ON era Jimin is so fucking underrated. Timestamps of note: 1:10 - 1:38 (for peak Jimin energy), 2:43 (for Namjoon's walk), 2:43 - 4:02 (for jikook and Jimtonin concentrate).
youtube
*
I'm still gagged. The passion? The abs? The fact this man was singing live while maintaining that energy? The immaculate synchronization with the background dancers? The masterclass in charm and fan engagement he showed? The fanchants???? First of Park Jimin then BTS? Y'all, I'm gagged still, months later. Park Jimin did that shit with Set Me Free Pt 2. I'm looking forward to the rest of his music this year and next.
youtube
*
Also, streaming his MVs are good and all, but his music show live performances shouldn't be neglected either. First of all, they're very good performances. It's clear Jimin put a lot of work into them and the quality shows. Second of all, the streaming filters on music show channels are less than on HYBE channels on youtube, for whatever reason. Just FYI.
youtube
*
One of the first times I saw him perform live. And no offense to everyone else, but the difference in skill he showed here, in a song that wasn't even his, compared to everybody on that stage.... I had to pay attention.
youtube
*
Pardon my language but he's a beast, a serpent, if Lucifer had a love affair with blonde hair dye and tight skinny jeans, he'd be Jimin in this Gayo performance. Wholly demonic and entirely cherubic at the same time. There isn't a single idol in existence who has his energy.
youtube
*
Nobody is immune from Kitty Gang Jimin and I'm no different.
youtube
(In 2026 I want him in blood red dreads beaded in cowries, his back tats fully on display, and a military scar running up his left arm.... but I'd be alright with his angelic visuals and persona kept intact and that highlighted instead :))
*
Anybody who says they don't know why BTS is on top is lying. BTS has Jimin. Enough said.
youtube
*
In this one performance, you see at least 8 sides of his personality. He's incredibly aware, expressive, and empathetic.
youtube
*
Endeared.
youtube
*
Endeared Pt 2.
youtube
*
Anyway, I miss them. Jungkook will be dropping new music soon, but I also really want something new from Jimin and Namjoon, so I hope we get that too before the end of the year.. maybe just before Tae's release or right after. I need it.
If you've read and watched the fancams to get to this point, here's a few random Jimin pics from my gallery just because...

Fortnight - post mortem
"Fortnight"
(feat. Post Malone)
"I was supposed to be sent away, but they forgot to come and get me
I was a functioning alcoholic till nobody noticed my new aesthetic
All of this to say, I hope you're okay, but you're the reason
And no one here's to blame, but what about your quiet treason?"
To be sent away is to be committed to the psych ward, or sent to jail. From the music video (MV) it seems that in this case it's a reference to an involuntary stay in the psych ward - she's chained up in a bed being made to take pills, however, asylums and prisons are a theme throughout the album as a whole.
In the opening scenes of the video she is dressed up to look like 1920s movie starlet Clara Bow (who is referenced directly as a song title later on the album.) Her hair is pinned up with an extreme number of upside down bobby-pins which on the right side of her head make the roman numeral for 13, and she is wearing a wedding gown.
Clara Bow is known to have engaged in lavender marriages while having secret affairs with women during her stardom. "dropping hairpins" is a piece of historical queer slang, meaning dropping hints that one is queer, and the inverse, having your hair pinned up means that you're pretending to be straight. Hair pins reference back to the lyrics of Right Where You Left Me "Dust collected on my pinned-up hair." I read this scene as "maximum closeting," by force.
The entire room is shown to be upside down and at an angle which reminds me of the classic Emily Dickinson poem "tell all the truth but tell it slant" Given Emily is a favorite poet of TS the Dickinson reference is likely intentional and it's fair to assume that there are red herrings and metaphors in abundance throughout this song and this album. Remember the 'redherring' error code on the website pre-release.
This song and video also reference A Tale of Two Cities by Charles Dickens, which tells the story of a person released from prison who has mental health issues due to being tortured during their prison stay, who is then taken by their family from Paris(!) to London (!!) Book 2 of A Tale of Two Cities is titled "The Golden Thread" which reminds me of Invisible String "one single thread of gold tied me to you," and in the second book we're told the tale of how the golden haired daughter provides financially for her family in addition to repairing and maintaining their good reputation. A Tale of Two Cities feels oh so very appropriate as a touchstone for listening to this album.
"I was a functioning alcoholic" is this metaphorical, literal, or both? Other mentions of use and abuse of drugs and alcohol in her discography include Closure "I'm fine with my spite and my tears and my beers and my candles" Clean "Ten months sober" and Don't Blame Me "My drug is my baby I'll be using for the rest of my life" I think in this case I think it might be both metaphorical and literal. The loss of her love drove her to drink, but also, she was addicted to her illicit love and maybe got away with it until others noticed-?
"All of this to say, I hope you're okay, but you're the reason. And no one here's to blame, but what about your quiet treason?" reminds me again of the song Closure "It wasn't right the way it all went down looks like you know that now. Yes, I got your letter, Yes, I'm doing better. I don't need your closure" It's just as direct, but less aggressive in tone. She hopes her muse is well but they are the reason that she is where she is.
"And for a fortnight there, we were forever
Run into you sometimes, ask about the weather
Now you're in my backyard, turned into good neighbors
Your wife waters flowers
I wanna kill her"
A fortnight is two weeks, though, it may be a metaphorical stand-in here just meaning that for awhile it seemed like they were going to be together forever, but now they are acquaintances who make small talk.
"Now you're in my backyard, turned into good neighbors" reminds me of the ever so quotable line "Good Fences Make Good Neighbours" from Robert Frost's poem Mending Wall, the irony of the poem is that while setting clear boundaries with a wall prevents petty disputes over property lines the constant need to maintain the wall they've built brings the neighbours together to talk. The line is often quoted by people who've never read the poem without heed for the irony. As a reference here it seems very sarcastic - we're good neighbours look how polite and appropriate we are with our boundaries set in stone.
There are many references to gardens and flowers in the TS back catalogue but for me this in particular recalls the lyrics from Clean "The drought was the very worst. When the flowers that we'd grown together died of thirst." and this line translates to me as I hate your partner because they're growing a relationship/family with you, whereas ours is dead.
The MV shows TS wiping her face to reveal tattoos that almost match those of Post Malone who plays the part of love interest in the MV. The differences are the addition of two tattoos that spell out DDP, an extra heart, and a change from a playboy bunny to what looks like a diamond. The tattoos seem to have been covered with make-up while she was chained up in the asylum, and they disappear as soon as she steps out into the other room - only to reappear onto the face of Post Malone. I don't have any theories about what DDP stands for I would love to hear other peoples. Seeing TS with secret tattoos reminds me of Dress, "made your mark on me a golden tattoo." another song about secret love.
"All my mornings are Mondays stuck in an endless February
I took the miracle move-on drug, the effects were temporary"
Mondays being the most notoriously hated day of the week because it's the start of the work week for many people, and Feb being post-celebration winter in the northern hemisphere, I read this as - all I do is work I'm stuck in a bleak winter that won't end. I've tried every option available to get over you but it didn't work.
When she enters the writers room she's wearing a mourning dress, which could lend another layer i.e. all my mournings are mondays i.e. all of my break-ups are work/business.
The whole video is in black and white except for the sparks that fly off the pages into the air between their desks, and the fire once she sets things ablaze.
"And I love you, it's ruining my life
I love you, it's ruining my life
I touched you for only a fortnight
I touched you
But I touched you"
This is pretty direct but in context I read it as - I'm still in love with you, I feel stuck, I can't move on and my public image won't let me let you in, we may have only been together for a short time but we were together and I can't/won't forget it.
In the MV there are an endless array of masked figures also in black mourning attire, all with masks and hats sitting at identical desks disappearing into the horizon. Are these the other tortured poets from history, made to mask and hide behind their typewriters in a black and white world?
"And for a fortnight there, we were forever
Run into you sometimes, ask about the weather
Now you're in my backyard, turned into good neighbors
Your wife waters flowers
I wanna kill her
And for a fortnight there, we were together
Run into you sometimes, comment on my sweater
Now you're at the mailbox, turned into good neighbors
My husband is cheating
I wanna kill him"
"My husband is cheating I wanna kill him" This could be literal cheating, however, she is not literally married so maybe that's a hint - maybe he's violating the terms of a contract? After all she's probably not in love with him since she's pining so badly after the muse of this song-? So, why would she still want to murder him? Maybe they were supposed to get lavender-married but he cancelled the wedding and now everything is in upheaval?
She is laying on the ground with PM in the middle of an image of herself made up of pages reading from "The Story of US" book, "So many things that I wish you knew. So many walls up, I can't break through" they seem to be stuck there and then they break free, pages flying in the air, and hold each other laughing. The tattoos are now gone from both faces.
"I love you, it's ruining my life
I love you, it's ruining my life
I touched you for only a fortnight
I touched you
I touched you
I love you, it's ruining my life
I love you, it's ruining my life
I touched you for only a fortnight
I touched you
I touched you"
In the MV she's back in the asylum now, hair undone/pins gone, strapped to a table surrounded by men about to have electro convulsive therapy (ECT) administered, a black dog runs through the frame. The ECG read-out is showing "I love you it's ruining my life" in the read out of her heart beat. One of the panels in the background reads "Master Control." In literature The Black Dog represents depression.
So, when her hair is unpinned she wants to be publicly out as in love with a woman, and the men who surround her and control her and her music deem it inappropriate, they want to 'fix' her. But, when the ECT runs sparks fly, the machinery overloads, she screams, and PM runs over to release her from the table.
"Thought of calling ya, but you won't pick up
Another fortnight lost in America
Move to Florida, buy the car you want
But it won't start up till you touch, touch, touch me"
"Thought of calling ya, but you won't pick up. Another fortnight lost in America" You won't answer my calls so we've lost another fortnight of our lives to the American culture wars - reminds me of Miss Americana & The Heartbreak Prince and Paris, which are also songs about running away.
They are now outside in a raging storm stuck on top of a mountain with treacherously steep sides, TS sits atop a phone box in a dress that looks like chain-mail, while PM is inside the box making a call begging..
"Move to Florida, buy the car you want but it won't start up till you touch, touch, touch me." TS has said in interview that moving to Florida in this album is a reference to people running away from their mistakes and starting fresh. She's telling the muse to ditch their partner and runaway with her, this ties back to Getaway Car which opens with "It was the best of times, the worst of crimes" which is a direct reference to A Tale of Two Cities which opens "It was the best of times, it was the worst of times, it was the age of wisdom, it was the age of foolishness, it was the epoch of belief, it was the epoch of incredulity, it was the season of Light, it was the season of Darkness, it was the spring of hope, it was the winter of despair, we had everything before us, we had nothing before us, we were all going direct to Heaven, we were all going direct the other way".
"Thought of calling ya, but you won't pick up
Another fortnight lost in America
Move to Florida, buy the car you want
But it won't start up till I touch, touch, touch you"
TS is back in the writers room, tearing open the draws, letting the pages fly into the air, crying, then stone faced in her mourning dress while the pages swirl around her burning. It reminds me of Dear Reader "Dear reader, burn all the files desert all your past lives" The version of her in the asylum smashes down the window.
And finally the version of TS on top of the phone box reaches down and holds hands with PM. She's created imagery of herself stuck inside cages, boxes, glass boxes, etc over and over through the years and this is the first time we've seen her outside and making contact with another human.
Conclusion: our protagonist has been held by force in the image of a virginal heterosexual bride, going slowly insane while she pretends that the woman she truly loves is just a friend, and she's now completely fed up and her bearding situation has gone to hell, she's asking her love to runaway with her and she's willing to metaphorically set fire to her history/her body of work to be with the one she loves.

Who is the Queen of Night?
First of all we need to combine what we know about the one “Her” or “Girl” in this Universe. Except Grimes Siblings. First we have the “Little” girl who reads Yeosang’s diary in the Diary Film.+ Fever Performance’s intro.
Then we have another girl in Diary Film who is the inspiration for Seonghwa to fight his problems- responsibilities. We also meet her in Strictland, Prestige Academy while ATEEZ searches for a child.
She was the Leader of Thunders, which is also an organization like Black Pirates. but we know that she is literally her not she is the girl in another dimension like, She is the same person.
You know that they were calling someone in ALL About You like “Girl”. And this person is the “girl” who they call for help in Take Me Home, Inception, Mist and some other songs.
All Treasure Series main subject “Purple Star” is also a girl. They were meant to meet her in İllusion too. They were also saved by her in Crescent when they were stuck in illusion, she was the one who called their name and woke them. Aurora was a song just to thank her.
If it’s Full Moon dimension gates are open but if it’s crescent Ateez can communicate with Black Fedora’s and this girl in dreams.
I also think that this girl can basically be Moon or connected to Moon. So The Silver Light is also her that lead them in this album.
In addition the one girl we saw in Crazy Form’s trailer was also her.
So if you ask why we see her in many different looks, even ages, it can be explained by our friend Mito’s, rabbit on the Moon’s meaning, REbirth.
In Everything's Mv you can see a girl who has a relationship with Jongho. In Jongho’s Diary part he says that he was too young to know how to reach out to his lost friend.
So we can claim that in the end she passed away. And if you pass away in Greek Mythology you become a star like how she did in this story. A Purple Star.
If we go back to the present, ATEEZ burned the bloody moon as you can see in Immortal Song Performance. And the new album is After the RED Moon rises.
We can say that something we claim is about to change after they burn the Moon like how Halateez became Halaiza and our company.
She will have a final appearance . Because in this album’s preview you can see that:
Blind’s lyrics are about her. “Queen of Night, my eye’s star. You wake me with your gaze. Take my soul, take my heart. El amor es ciego.” which translate into “ Love is blind” It remind me the lyrics of Stay: “I can see you even if I close my eyes Just want you to stay”
One light we see in the desert is basically her.
If you know, you know the meaning of Fireworks’s meaning. In Korean twin Souls are Twin Fireworks.쌍둥이 불꽃 And maybe Song name is actually (Fire)Work????
4.In the beginning it is the place where we see the little girl read the diary in the Diary Film.
5.Empty Box’s lyrics are like: “Your memories are inside my heart like it’s a drawer. Like it’s a rainy day, it’s still there.(? not sure) Now it’s like I need to leave-send it. It is like the Take Me Home’s lyrics: “Rain in my tears, pouring in my eyes Is it something that you sent to me?”
And also Shaboom seemed to me like Take Me Home+ Maybe They are really connected. But while ending this thread I can say they finally it is her time to shine, maybe for the last.

it is lore-anon back to scream in your inbox again. Thank you for the second link! Yes, I can see it if the individual tweet is linked directory (otherwise twitter bans you from seeing comments and retweets and threads if you're not logged into an account and I continue to want to pitch them out a window for it because I refuse to make one). I read the other four entries but then it was 2AM and I needed to go to bed. But now I am back and
OH NO. I don't know who's entry hurts the worst, (its not supposed to be a stomp on my heart contest guys)
When I watched the Work mv for the first time I had a little moment of 'ha ha Hongjoong and Mingi are out there fighting A Monster Of Capitalism' moment with the money-kaiju. But they really are out there literally fighting A Monster of Capitalism akjghlkadjhgla. My heart. (This is why I am here, for the brilliance of how they can play something off as silly or casual in an mv but they've layered so much metaphor, foreshadowing, and worldbuilding up at this point that if you're a lore person suddenly a lot of little casual throwaway things are the OPPOSITE of casual)
Because, ok, I got an arts degree right? So when they first announced the name of the new era was Golden Hour I was like 'as in the photography term Golden Hour?' because this was a very interesting choice given Golden Hour, and then the names of the album versions came out and instead of A-Diary-Z suddenly it was Blue Hour-Diary-Golden Hour I flipped my shit because that basically confirmed they DID mean the photography concept. And they're SO intentional about everything I was like 'ok, where does golden hour lighting vs blue hour lighting show up in past mv's, out of curiosity?'
(Because, like. I have an offline 'lore' playlist I've setup on my comp so I can watch all the teasers-intros-mvs-outros for all of the mvs together in one place back to back in the order they were released so it makes it easy to check when something new suddenly ties back to something previous. It's over 5 hours at this point. I love them, they feed us so well).
Go back. Watch everything from Pirate King in order. Unlike other kpop groups that go ham on the coloured gels to create mood and atmosphere, ATEEZ basically, dead-on consistently, all the way back to 2018, through Every. Single. Video have essentially 5 types of lighting they shoot scenes with for 95% of the mv shots: that really warm-cast sunrise/sunset golden hour light, the extremely cool-cast twilight blue hour light, a neutral light that is incredibly bright to the point of almost over-exposing the scene, black and white, and BATHED-IN-RED-cast. (The only exceptions are a couple shots that use coloured gels in Turbulence especially Wooyoung PETER-PANNING INTO THE SKY ON THE AIRPORT RUNWAY THAT HAS NO NEW CONTEXT WHATSOEVER NOW, Hongjoong's part in Halazia with the background purple lighting, a couple of shots in Deja Vu, and the deliberate use of gels to simulate all the neon lights in Bouncy. But even then the use of gels in these places REALLY stand out because it is NOT their norm).
And, I would argue, given looking at WHICH scenes in each mv use which type of lighting, because they have been SO consistent about it-
That they have been using lighting temperature to separate something happening in the A world vs the Z world vs dreams vs memories vs recorded-electronically-transmitted messages vs the points where one or more of these has met a point where its merging with a different one, (they have referenced mobius strips TOO MANY TIMES for me to treat the A and Z worlds as separate universes. Oh no, we are playing with 1 or more magic relics at this point and timelines are starting to bleed, Halazia-universe being a created as a literal side-effect in itself,) and the mvs haven't just been telling ONE timeline of events for that mv, but MULTIPLE. At. The. Same. Time. (I swear I could write a 10k essay on how they've used their lighting for world-building up to this point that went unnoticed until they took a megaphone and basically went 'hey, golden hour? blue hour? maybe pay attention to that ho ho' and wrecked me).
Because, like, for fever forward, the mv and the diary version always reference each other, right? but in some mv's I have to look at the mv and then back at the diary version and something on the screen
Whereas the diary versions have only ever been from the A-world pirates perspective. So we know which events are THEIR timeline from their point of view.
and the parts from the mv that don't "fit" as creative interpretations of the diary's contents? They DO tend to make sense if you take it as how the main themes of the diary are/were playing out but for the Z-world pirates at potentially a different point in THEIR personal Z-world timeline.
Maybe its my deep-in-the-lore-sauce-analysis delulu, but like, maybe the Z-world pirates are dead as far as the A-World pirates are currently aware, in their part of their timeline. But I would bet my hat that the Z-pirates are not dead-dead in the larger fabric of the multiple connected universes. There are way too many pointed bits of foreshadowing and too many deliberate loose ends from past mvs that have not been tied off yet for me to believe we've really seen the last of them yet, (this is probably another unhinged 10k essay on my part).
I mean, I am currently convinced that Answer timeline-wise takes place AFTER whatever happens in the Golden Hour era, (that most of the events from the Treasure-era mv's actually belong much later in their timeline than we currently think they do, actually).
And we know who's at the table toasting in Answer.
hey lore anon! sorry, i've been fighting a 2 day headache and work and my brain is basically sludge~ please don't ever apologize for getting excited tho! seeing people get excited about stuff they're passionate about is my fav thing and i've definitely been in my friends dms theorycrafting and spewing some insane shit lmao
i could NOT believe how much of the work mv became lore, especially with hongjoong and mingi!! like!! and the food truck theme! ugh, ugh, ugh. ill never be over how they can take insane shit like bouncy and work and turn it into actually gut wrenching lore. like how??
i absolutely love all your theories and my god you're way smarter than me on the filming and lighting lmao all i have to guide me is literary devices and narrative patterns (written word is the only place i excel in life RIP)
i cannot WAIT to see the path the lore is taking, they really keep us guessing at every turn and that's what got me hooked and ruined my life in february lol
please ALWAYS feel free to climb in my dms either here or discord or wherever if you want! or pls always feel free to send me asks!!
happy golden hour!!!

isekaijoucho colors album - my thoughts:
This is my second listen of the album... I listened to it yesterday upon release, but was too tired from having just woken up... So now I'm a bit more lucid, and definitely in the right mindset for this album, so here we go.
Breath - I'm crying already, touched to my soul... It's so beautifully majestic. It's hard to think people don't like this side of her, it's certainly different from Creation/Anemone, but there's just something so powerful about this era of Colors/Nemophila…
And return to white - I've loved this song ever since its release. The MV is just amazing, I feel like it encapsulates everything about Isekaijoucho and her "story." The ending Anima pose reference is amazing too... Note the use of the word "color" and also "breath." It's interesting to think of the dying Isekaijoucho as a form of "Anemone" as well. This song encapsulates Isekaijoucho's grief, strength, beauty, passion, magic, and elegance, and sets the tone for the "story" that follows.
A Doll of Lapis - It's hard to not think the songs are connected somehow. An elegant and delicate song, unveiling her complexity behind her doll eyes. Take note of blue being emphasized, but then "my true color is..." and the scene color changing to red. It adds to "Nemophila" being more sinister somehow, especially in combination with "And return to white." Beneath the pure white and the beautiful azure blue, is blood red; fire red; and darkness. That is most surely "Isekaijoucho."
Pandora Call - Possessiveness, control of a world. Once again following the thread and "story," it feels like a song associated with the destruction scenes in "And return to white," with the lyrics talking about destruction/control of a world through love and song. In the MV, the clock also goes backwards. The key word of this song is "world" (sekai as in "Isekaijoucho") and "melody." I can't help but imagine a story in which Anemone and Nemophila were in love, but Anemone's love was "destruction," so she died amidst the fires and blood that her love brought on.
Dimension - The song closest to my heart. There is strength and conviction; a desire to get back what was once lost. In terms of composition, it's simply moving and ethereal in a very "VOCALOID" way. It has a quality to it I adore very much and resonate with strongly. But I never imagined I'd have the song recontextualized, and given further meaning -- given the context of the "story" of this album so far. I imagine, this is after the death of Anemone, Nemophila struggled to find her "fate/meaning" and was lost, but found the things she lost in mourning -- the things that make her, "her." A reclaiming of identity, a rediscovery of the self. In terms of the word "Dimension," it's like Isekaijoucho traveling through "dimensions" to find these things about herself -- fate, conviction, and more. A common theme so far in this album is Isekaijoucho's "truest" self that is hidden away; a story no one knows. It's something that resonates quite personally as well. Key words, I'm unsure of, but perhaps try repetition and fate; also future.
Kimi syousitu sekai (a world where you disappear) - key words: "world"/"sekai" and "future." A notable mention to "sadness/lament" (ureu) -- part of the second verse of "And return to white" (I am lamenting white/watashi wa ureu shiro.) Another song about grief, loss of "another self." Musically, I love the intense rock angle this song takes, I'm glad she gets to do a rock song that's also very distinctly within her "vibes" and energy. In terms of story and MV, we take note of the clocks again; going forward, than backwards like in Pandora Call. But also the dual motif of Isekaijoucho; and the scenery within a church. Imagining this continues the story of Anemone and Nemophila, this is from Nemophila's perspective about the loss, death, and disappearance of Anemone. Notably this song coming right after Dimension is interesting and paints a duality -- "Dimension" talks about not forgetting, but "Kimi syousitu sekai" laments what will be forgotten in the future after death. We also have an implication about a "bad end" for the one that was lost -- alluding to the disaster shown in the MV of "And return to white" and referenced in the lyrics in "Pandora Call." Without Anemone, Nemophila loses a very important aspect of herself; she is "incomplete" but must go on to the future. Another angle we can take the interpretation of "Dimension" is that, since it was released during Anemone era and has Anemone outfit, it's about Anemone's hopes and convictions for the future, to contrast Nemophila's lament and grief as she moves on to the future without Anemone. The most striking line in support of the "Colors storyline" is "you and me, we are the same person." In the MV this shows Nemophila hugging a "shadow Isekaijoucho" who fades away, so we can also connect this to the dark corpse of (who we've assigned to be) Anemone in "And return to white." Overall, amazing song, interesting narrative so far.
Grayscale - Super interesting song and mysterious too. This song feels like a liminal space; like purgatory. Uncertainty, mystery. Unfortunately have to rely on MTL for the lyrics, but some keywords I think are "colors" (black/white/grayscale), and "world/planet." There is also "endroll" which evokes the theatre from "Tomedonaki Hakujou) (from her first album "Creation.") One lyric that intrigues me is "Isekaijoucho wa henzai suru" -- this is the part that repeats as ASMR panning. Trying to look into the meaning of 偏在 henzai, it seems to mean uneven distribution. I'm not sure, but I feel like this is a "corruption" of 配信 haishin = distribution; livestream transmission. It's like she's saying the transmission is broken/corrupted/unbalanced but once again, I'm unsure since my knowledge of Japanese isn't that good. If any imagery is evoked, this makes me think of a TV set which was also in the MV for "Kimi syousitu sekai." In my interpretation, it's like a broken transmission from the "dying world."
Kokoni togeto shiwo (Here lies thorns and death) - SLAVE VVR AND ISEKAIJOUCHO IS AN AMAZING AND UNEXPECTED MATCH....!!! Keywords: color, goddess, and jewel. Musically, this is so fresh and exciting for Isekaijoucho, it's an amazing song! She even sings quite a bit of English here too, and the lyrics are not as difficult as Grayscale to understand through MTL. Now, about the lyrics of the song, it's about love -- love that leads to death; love as a reverence of a goddess; love as a sin through bloodshed and punishment. Once again, evoking the scenery of the previously established "tragedy" in the "story." Jewel/gem is also an important thing to note as a keyword -- potentially referencing "Isekai no Housekitan" from her previous album -- jewel/gem could also be a reference to "past innocence" before the tragedy. Jewels are also alluded to in "A Doll of Lapis" as the color of the doll's eyes -- blue -- but the jewels in this song are either red or colorless -- whether it's blood-red dying the colorless quartz, or the red quartz losing its color. Red is a color associated with the tragedy, destruction, etc. We can connect this song highly to Pandora Call as having similar themings. The goddess is also interesting here, as it seems Nemophila evokes a "goddess" like image in "And return to white," but in this song it seems that it's like the mortal desiring to be goddess-like for the sake of love, but being punished for it somehow.
Nerine's Secrets - A song by Kashii Moimi, formatted as a "(kana name) no (kanji)" sung by SEKAI/Isekaijoucho? Is this... the third song in the series of Erica & Karen? That's what I want to think, anyways. Unfortunately can't find any lyrics transcript yet. In any case, Kashii Moimi always creates such beautiful songs. Key words: eyes, world, colors (rainbow.) It's hard with my limited Japanese knowledge, but I got some imagery/vibes of a night sky (moon and stars), meetings/coming together, and shining light of a rainbow in the lyrics. Unlike Erica & Karen, Nerine has a more hopeful, "kirakira" vibe to the song, while still being distinctly Kashii Moimi in the same style of Erica and Karen -- emphasizing beauty ("karenna"). (Erica is mourning, Karen is inability to accept her own sins.) As to how Nerine connects to the "story" thus far, I'm a bit uncertain to fully tell, but we can connect eyes to Doll of Lapis (eyes made of Lapis, etc etc), and world/colors to a lot of the previously aforementioned songs. As for a detailed analysis on this song's connection to Karen and Erica, I'll leave that for another time once I get a better grasp of the lyrics, and once I'm in the mood for it.
Promise in the Twilight - A banger of a song, I've loved this song since its release too! But in the album placement, following Nerine's Secrets, it's like the starlight/"light" from Nerine's Secrets is the same "light" that she refers to in the opening lyric here: "on that day, we were both enveloped by a faint light." Keywords: light, mayday, colors (green), and justice. On its own, this song wasn't in my top favorite Isekaijoucho songs, but as part of the album? It's transcendent, it's amazing, it's actually PEAK. The song's connections to other songs in the album are absolutely incredible. We already addressed Nerine, so let's talk about the others. Most obviously, this song references the musical motif of "Dimension," and both songs have thematic similarities in their lyrics. "Mayday" also is a lyric in "Grayscale" (so I'll have to retroactively add "Mayday" as a key word in Grayscale too.) The song also references a "god in heaven" so we can also check off "Kokoni togeto shiwo" for the goddess. The "color" here is green -- "proof is colored in green." It is also a rock song utilizing guitars, much like "Kimi syousitu sekai." The epic and grand feeling of the song also is reminiscent of "And return to white;" and the relationship/devotion/vow to "another person" -- love; it's a more hopeful and bright "love" that contrasts from "Pandora Call" and "Kokoni togeto shiwo." In addition, we can add twilight as another color -- "twilight" is an in-between of day and night; like how "Grayscale" is an in-between of black and white. Justice is an interesting keyword here because I don't think it's been referenced in the previous songs at all? But in my interpretation of the story, I think previously the lovers of Anemone and Nemophila met a "bad end/tragedy," but they have a "good end" where things were made "right." That might be the "justice" of the storyline. There's also a line about "cleansing these hands," which I'm going to interpret as being cleansed from the tragedy and sin. I think this song is atonement; and atonement is the justice.
Vermilion - Already the first lyric of the song is literally "twilight." Right after "Promise in the Twilight." Also, it seems "vermilion" was referenced as a color already in "Kokoni togeto shiwo," and is already the name of a color anyways -- red referencing the tragedy. As a Hiiragi Magnetite song, this is bound to be one of my favorites. This album just gets stronger and stronger with each song. Aside from the established color, our key words are twilight, dark, future, apocalypse, dimension. Another special mention to melancholy/ureu. Twilight and Dimension are obvious connections to other songs, but what's more is that those two songs are already connected, and here's another song that's connected to them as well. As well as "Dimension" also being by Hiiragi Magnetite. And how about I bring in "Kimi syousitu sekai" as the connection for the word "future?" I think we already have a sense for what could be meant by dark and apocalypse too – the tragedy, of course. I think much like the contrast and connection between Dimension and Kimi syousitu sekai, I think Promise in the Twilight and Vermilion have a similar connection, and these 4 songs being placed the way they are is no coincidence. First off, their respective colors are opposing – green and red (vermilion.) In this song, Isekaijoucho sings of a desolate future that she foresaw, but still holds on to hope. It feels like the “promise” and hopes were shattered and darkness came. Wounds, the end of life, apocalypse… All the hope that was in the previous song, where did it go? All the hope that’s in the other Hiiragi Magnetite song, “Dimension,” where did it go? And in both Kimi syousitu sekai and this song, the future is bleak; lacking light; losing someone precious to you. And yet, while Kimi syousitu sekai despairs, Vermilion still has some hope. In addition, I think the final lyric of this song is important: “Return to that rightful place.” – Connection to “And return to white.” And “rightful” here can also be TLed as justice – another connection to Promise in the Twilight. Perhaps the color of justice is white? God. Just. These songs are amazing… I love them so much
To You Who Kept On Drawing - Keywords from the lyrics: breath, world/sekai, future, anima, color (white/grayscale/red). The title of this song alone is important because of the lyric in “And return to white” about drawing – “people driven by passion picked up their pens and began to draw.” In general, thematically, this song feels like an answer/resolution song to “And return to white” – both by Kashii Moimi, and parallels can be drawn in their composition; and it just overall feels like a satisfying connection to this entire album and especially And return to white. If you thought the previous songs had a lot of references, wait till you hear what references this song has in its MV and lyrics. First we have a star motif – which connects to Nerine and Twilight, but I also forgot to mention the last time stars were mentioned, that stars also connects to Heart of Sirius from the Creation album. Next, we have gems – Kokoni togeto shiwo and Creation’s Isekai no Housekitan. Next we have a frame of duality in Isekaijoucho’s image – Kimi syousitu sekai. Then, the chorus has spinning which Dimension’s MV also does that, and it’s also referenced lyrically. Partway through the MV, the color turns primarily red – this echoes the “turning to red” in the MVs for And return to white and A Doll of Lapis; and another connection to Kokoni togeto shiwo and Vermilion – red being reinforced as the color of strife, “true self,” and revelations. The MV also turns grayscale for a bit (self explanatory.) Finally the MV ends in a sunrise – which I’d like to think contrasts twilight. As for the lyrics, we’ve already touched on the keywords of breath/world/future/color previously, but I want to talk about anima – this is the title of Isekaijoucho’s live concerts, and is a word for “will of life.” I think using anima in this song specifically is just so powerful and evocative. Lyrically, this song is about love for the world, love for another person as they saved her; not caring if she has sins or scars; not wanting to give up, and holding on to important things like vows, prayers, and bonds. It feels like a sort of “resolution” to all the strife previously. Saving is important in the context of Isekaijoucho, since that is the one thing she wishes to do in the Kamicity lore and also in her other lyrics – she wants to save people, and in turn she is saved by another person – “to you who kept on drawing.” I want to think the implication of “drawing” here is to continue one person’s will and continue the story; continue their emotions. If Isekaijoucho had died in the previous song “Vermilion,” then she is revived/saved by “drawing.” It’s possible that this song is also from the perspective of the dead Anemone from “And return to white,” and it’s the other song that references drawing. I think we need to go back to “And return to white”’s lyrics: Right after “people driven by passion picked up their pens and began to draw,” she sings “I’ll dye my heart white to stop it from breaking” – I think drawing and colors here are deeply connected. To draw is to control colors; and to control colors is to define your outlook on life and express yourself. In the MV, although she stained the entire world in red (tragedy,) she returned it to grayscale, and then a more normal, realistic color of the world; and she’s walking towards a white light. I think I understand why this song is deemed the “leading song” of the album. God damn. I have to lay down for a bit after this… This album just becomes more and more peak the more I analyze it. I also think this song is very important to Isekaijoucho specifically with the theme of drawing/colors because she herself is an illustrator; and the meaning of art/drawing for her, it might be the thing that “saved her life,” which is a sentiment I’m sure many artists of different kinds can relate to – art can save lives.
Formless Thing - This one is more somber compared to all the intensity of the preceding songs. It’s an especially important song because not only are the lyrics written by Isekaijoucho herself, from the MV I think it’s a love letter to her past self and future self. We directly see Anemone here as a duality to Nemophila; when Anemone leaves, Nemophila will still be here to carry on Anemone’s voice. What is meant by “Formless Thing” in terms of the song title, I’m not sure; but “katachinaki mono” can also be translated as “one without a body.” Given the song and MV, I’m inclined to think this “one without a body” is Anemone. Now that Isekaijoucho is Nemophila, Anemone no longer has a body, but she still exists in memories. I think this recontextualizes everything in the album previously about their relationship and dynamic…
ANGELIC - I didn’t write much for “Formless Thing” itself because I think it’s worth it to analyze Formless Thing and ANGELIC in tandem. Between these two songs we get a direct confirmation: this song is absolutely a love letter to Isekaijoucho’s self; past and future: “because you are me, we share our lives.” First established lyrically in “Kimi syousitu sekai” and re-inforced in “ANGELIC.” ANGELIC also references the ocean, which was seen at the end of “To You Who Kept On Drawing.” Both these songs are about wanting to love; wanting to live; living at “your” side (which is the same person); prayers to the goddess; the moon… also referencing the overall theme of colors and also breath. Previously, I thought there was no better album ender than ARCADIA from Creation, but this entire ending section of “Colors” blows ARCADIA out of the water, I think. An interesting lyric in this song is “Nemesis” which could be referencing the previously established strife/disaster/apocalypse/etc.
Colors - This is such an elegant and beautiful closer to the album; it’s so light and pretty; so expressive and beautiful. I am truly breathtaken and full of emotion.
FINAL VERDICT: Overwhelmed immensely. This album… I have so many thoughts. But it’s truly an amazing album, more amazing than I thought. I will definitely be talking more about this album and the songs in the future. But for now, it’s amazingly interwoven and is a love letter to the entire concept and being of “Isekaijoucho” – the character, the art, the presentation, the singer behind her and her thoughts and emotions and past and future and hopes and just; everything. There’s so much more to say, but for now, I’ll leave it at that. To everyone who made Isekaijoucho possible… Piedpiper, Kashii Moimi, reoenl; samayuzame and orie… and of course, the voice and soul of Isekaijoucho herself… thank you.

Thespian's Masterpost!
hi! Thought I should make this since it's pretty essential to most blogs.
I'm Thespian, although I go by Mirika on other parts of the internet. I'm an Ao3 author, writing for Genshin Impact, and occasionally dabbles in crossovers with other fandoms with my friend Zhelday there. I live in Australia, so if I take a few hours longer than usual to respond, that'll be why. If I complain about the god-awful heat in December, that's also why.
On here I post about three things: Fandoms, Writing, and occasionally Personal. Okay I used to try and mark my posts with specialised tags but uh I've realised that I cannot remember for the life of me to do that so... sorry. A note, if I talk about my original story, there may be mentions of dysphoria.
I'm an aspiring voice actor and also have a YouTube channel where I make edits! It's quite dry now but I'll have MVs and other things on there later- I'm currently working on a few different videos.
I also have a discord, backcornerwriter. It's a little bland, and I don't have notifs on for it, so sorry in advance. :)
posts I'm pinning for both you guys and my personal reference:
My ongoing conversation with an Ao3 author
Alternate ideas to catboy AUs
Albedo AU I don't have the time for but would love to see if someone else would like to
Side dialogue from my life (feel free to use!)
My fandoms:
Genshin Impact (one of my more common ones!)
Sonic the Hedgehog (another more common one)
Splatoon, its manga included (my third most common)
Sanders Sides
The Amazing Digital Circus (although you won't see much of this.)
Symbiosis/Silver Thread (thanks to my good friend @monards)
Death Palette (if anyone ever wants to hear me)
Cookie Run Kingdom (though I haven't played in a while)
Ghost and Pals/Qualia Automata
ENA
Monster High
Ever After High
Splatoon
The first three Skylanders games
I dabble in Tintin, Red Dwarf and Star Wars thanks to Zhelday so if I mention Zhel I'll be mentioning them too
Things you Don't Talk About Around Me
Disney (I have no respect after they ripped off Ever After High and killed it)
Politics (sue me but its boring and I'm not here for reality)
AI (just. No. I'm a writer.)
Not really sure what else to add- I am a minor for now, so please be careful how you treat me. I will not tolerate disrespect or just general bad treatment. That also means you can't commission me for stories or oneshots just yet, but if you do put in an ask that gives me inspiration you will get yourself a oneshot. I just can't be paid yet. (And a reminder that paying for/making money off fanfiction is extremely illegal and removes the one legal defence of fanfic writers as a whole, so please don't take us all down!)
I do sometimes write fanfics on this site, but not often as I'm not good at tagging them and I don't want to make anyone uncomfortable.
The ask box is open, but unfortunately not for donation asks due to personal reasons, please come in and talk if you like!
Thank you for getting this far, sorry for the lack of graphics, and have fun!

Lazada Fest in Jakarta
🩰 LAZADA FEST 。 ( 빨간 벨벳 + 🪽 ) : 안녕 내 사랑 REVELUVs! I'm bubbling over with excitement to spill all the sweet deets about our incredible night at Lazada Fest 12.12 in Jakarta! Picture this: the stage lights up, and the crowd's love envelops us like a warm hug. Starting with "Chill Kill," the vibes were so on fire, and your fanchants? Oh, they made my heart do a happy dance. Performing it live for the first time in front of our Indonesian fam was like a dreamy, magical connection.
After our performance, we hit you with a big, cheery "Hello, we are Red Velvet!" If only I could bottle up the overwhelming warmth and excitement that filled the entire arena. Then came the super fun games and MV guessing with the presenter – moments that weave an extra thread into our special bond with all of you.
But hold on, we didn't stop at just one song and games! We took a stroll down memory lane with hits like "Psycho," "Feel My Rhythm," and "You Better Know." The energy in the air was contagious, and your smiles and cheers fueled our performance. It's like trying to describe the taste of your favorite dessert – pure, unadulterated bliss.
Now, the cherry on top was our closing act with "Red Flavor." The burst of vibrant colors, the infectious beats – it was the grand finale to an absolutely enchanting night. Reveluvs, your energy is the secret sauce that makes these moments unforgettable. As the lights dimmed, and the echoes of your cheers lingered, a wave of gratitude washed over me. Thank you for making Lazada Fest 12.12 a night etched in our hearts. Your support means the universe to us, and we're counting the days until we can create more magical moments like these together. Until then, keep sprinkling that Red Velvet love like confetti! 💗
Sending you all my love and happiness, Veradele.

Speaking of the IILWY mv… It’s interesting that the songs — IILWY and COH — are not linked, but the mvs are. The same goes for cardigan and willow. COH and cardigan end with the protagonist alone and IILWY and willow are about reuniting with the lost lover. Also the invisible string in the willow mv appears to be music!
It's not just IILWY or ACOH, anon! Matty brings back the clown for the beginning of the 'Somebody Else' video as well as the end of 'Sincerity is Scary', even describing clowns as a "motif", heh!
Anon, I love that take about 'Cardigan'! I interpret it in a very similar way, though slightly different. But before I get into it, I want to stress, yet again, to anyone who might be reading this… that Matty Healy is the muse of 'Cardigan', confirmed by Taylor, herself! This rarely happens!
"I've never named names, so I feel like I still have a sense of power over what people say."
I've noticed that most fans completely ignore this bombshell because, rather than explore 'Cardigan' from a new, exciting angle or trust their favorite popstar not to get seduced by or romantically entangled with a "literal monster", they'd rather jump on the bandwagon and believe a 280-character gross misrepresentation of him on Twitter. Boo!
But... I digress! Anyway, as we take this journey, just please remember that Matty is who she is singing about all throughout 'Cardigan'… and keep him in mind as she purposefully ties various songs together with these "plot devices" (more on that in a bit!)
In 'Cardigan', we see how Taylor accesses that golden thread through music (the piano), and the way it is tied not just to this enchanted, magical place (memories from the past, I'm thinking), but by continuing to follow that thread, she ends up in a precarious position - in the middle of dark, turbulent waves during a thunderstorm (very reminiscent of 'Clean'). As the camera pans out, we see just how massive the body of water is. In nothing but a nightgown and totally unprepared to suddenly find herself in this giant ocean… Taylor luckily finds her piano floating on the surface, clinging onto it for dear life. The piano, or the music, is the only thing that saves Taylor from drowning in that abyss - the golden thread luring her to, instead, immerse herself in music once more. Through the piano, or through music, she is able to return to safety and ground herself again, even finding comfort in having taken the journey, because in it, she found a lot of strength and resilience.
Gosh, that sure sounds familiar… doesn't it? Here is where it gets even more interesting! Yes, the beginning of 'Willow' is a continuation of the end of 'Cardigan'. Taylor described the golden thread as a "plot device", which is a "technique in a narrative used to move the plot forward". Taylor is suggesting that there is a plot.
So, let's check out what the Vevo Footnotes video for 'Cardigan' has to say (found on Taylor's official YouTube channel - so, it's as good as "official" to me):
"Returning to the cabin signifies returning to a sense of self after experiencing love lost. However, Taylor's clothes remain soaking wet to represent that she was changed by the journey but has discovered who she always was. I view folklore as wistful and full of escapism. Sad, beautiful, tragic. Like a photo album full of imagery and all the stories behind that imagery."
It's a bit subtle, but the ending of 'Cardigan' is just another iteration on the same story we've already seen elsewhere in Taylor's work. The two that immediately spring to mind are these:
Out of the Woods: She lost him. But she found herself. And somehow that was everything. I Knew You Were Trouble: I don't know if you know you who are until you lose who you are.
And of course, Taylor is directly referencing another song from Red, this time by name: 'Sad Beautiful Tragic' (by the way… I strongly suggest listening to that one back to back with 'Bigger Than The Whole Sky'!)
Taylor suggests that she uses various scenes in 'Willow' to represent the songs 'Seven', 'Exile', 'Mirrorball', and 'Mad Woman'. By the way… 'Mirrorball' is a song that shares sonic similarities with The 1975's 'About You' and 'Medicine' (click the links for fun mashups that help showcase those similarities!)
In the Folklore foreward, Taylor alludes to 'Cardigan' again by describing "lovestruck kids wandering up and down the evergreen High Line" - does that remind you of anything? It sure reminds me of:
"Slut!": Got love-struck, went straight to my head Superman: I'm far away, but I never let you go, I'm love-struck and looking out the window
So, we have a connection to a song that we know Matty helped co-write a different version of… as well as a song that he, himself, hearkens back to via the Superman shirt he chose to wear in the music video for 'Me & You Together Song', as well as lyrically in 'About You'… for some, reading parallels is better, for others, listening is better, so here goes both:
Superman: Don't forget, don't forget about me About You: Do you think I have forgotten? Do you think I have forgotten… About you?
Even the golden thread in 'Cardigan' and 'Willow' is reminiscent of the pixie dust from Peter Pan! Just another connection to Matty, who has not only compared himself to Peter Pan about half a dozen times in interviews throughout the years (slowly adding all instances to this blog), but in one of them, he even talks about Wendy!:
"For me, the Peter Pan analogy of him not wanting to grow up because his… Captain Hook is his only example of a grown-up and he has Wendy, who's a conservative lady who wants to grow up and get married, but he has Tinker Bell who titillates him and she's like pornography, she's like all these… it's like, of course you get like um, titillated by the absence of a domestic reality. You don't live anywhere. You're doing something for other people, although it's yours, you know. You eventually find solace in relationships, like I have done."
Of course, I get it - that this could all be "accidental", but upon studying Taylor's techniques and listening to countless interviews where she says storytelling is the most important aspect of her work… I just don't see coincidence being the most likely conclusion, here. Forgive me, anon... I can get a bit carried away 😅
Thanks for the ask! ♥

K-pop Discography Deep Dives: Girls Generation / SNSD (Part TWO)
Here are my credentials: So, I’m absolutely a fan of Girls’ Generation, although I’m in that weird space where I’m more than a casual one yet not quite a SONE (a full fan), but just like with Sunmi, I have a feeling that this deep dive will make me one. I’ve heard almost all of their title tracks, and a decent amount of b-sides, but since they have over 100 songs, I’m sure I’ll find some new ones to love too. I’m also a fan of both Taeyeon and Tiffany’s solo careers.
I’m going to take a quick intermission to discuss some of SNSD’s Japanese releases here, which I don’t normally do. Mr Taxi, with its heavy autotune and electronic background, reminds me of a female version of SHINee’s Ring Ding Dong. One of the things I enjoy the most here (besides the roller disco, of course) is that the chorus is given space to breathe when they could’ve cut it for time. Time Machine is a sadder, slower song, and in lesser hands, it could be a snooze fest, but Girls’ Generation’s great voices turn it into a bonafide power ballad.
Paparazzi, as mentioned before, feels like it arrives on a red carpet rather than simply starts with its “ooh la la la”, which is perhaps fitting for a song about fame that features a snippet from Singing In The Rain. This one is probably my favorite of their songs in Japanese; it definitely takes inspiration from disco in the best way, and had me shaking my shoulders and wanting to get a pair of cat-eye sunglasses. Flower Power too is disco, but with a darker synth spin that feels more distinctly Japanese action movie.
Love & Girls takes after SNSD’s cutesier early discography with its colorful styling, poppy background, free-wheeling anti-drop summer chorus, sharp whistles, and peppy ad libs. Beep Beep too follows this thread, but I was won over, as I often am, with its catchy inclusion of several different languages (Italian, Korean, Chinese, Japanese, and English) and fun comic book style illustrations. I also quite like its bridge and last chorus.
So, back to the Korean releases! Catch Me If You Can follows in the footsteps of The Boys and especially Run Devil Run. It has a surprisingly youthful and bubbly pre-chorus, that’s unfortunately followed by the mother of all anti–drops. Unlike in the other songs of theirs that have used one, though, Catch Me If You Can doesn’t do anything interesting with it, and ends up feeling like a dozen other songs. The post-chorus does help it, but overall the track feels incomplete.
PARTY sees Girls’ Generation dipping their toes into a summer fun track, which is new territory for their singles. It’s a little toothless when compared to such iconic and important tracks like Gee, I’ve Got A Boy, or Oh, but it’s still a fun time and it’s a nice break to see them looking so happy. It’s not ending up on my Top 10 list, but I’m not going to skip it if it comes up on shuffle.
Opposite from Genie, which I assumed was much later in their careers, I’d assumed that Lion Heart had been much earlier than 2015, though I’m not sure why. This time, they draw inspiration from doo wop, and turn it into a satire of midcentury love-at-first-sight rom coms. Besides the (as always) great clothes, the MV got some good chuckles out of me with its ridiculousness, over-the-top sound effects, and 60’s dance moves that look right out of a Get Smart episode.
You Think is about as different from Lion Heart as it’s possible to get, with a far more “girl crush” image and a hip-hop beat mixed with synthpop. Funnily enough, I’d actually heard this song’s chorus before (“you think you’re real cool?” “You’re NOT!”), but I didn’t know it was an SNSD song, so that was a nice surprise. It veers a little close to an anti-drop, but thankfully avoids it by the skin of its teeth.
From the Lion Heart album, I really liked the venture into chill bossa nova in One Afternoon, the appropriately vaudeville-style flair and sudden speed-up in Show Girls (which was my hidden gem), the synthy fun of Fire Alarm, and the background guitar in Green Light.
Holiday starts with a guitar riff and an energy that doesn’t slow down to catch its breath until its 3-and-a-half minutes are over. It’s a lot of fun, and immediately makes you want to get up and dance with your closest friends, and besides that, feels like a nice summer vacation for Girls’ Generation too; a new and improved version of Party with a sunny beat straight off a Broadway stage. I enjoyed it much more than I expected to, truth be told, and it went right into my music library.
All Night is the second single from the album, and, although it’s also a dancefloor track, it takes a more minimalistic, sleek approach. The chorus, though I did like it, felt a bit out of left field to me with its tempo change, and the rap likewise didn’t quite fit, but overall I liked this one too, especially the bridge. It’s always a pleasure to see drag queens covered in sparkles on my screen, alright?
From Holiday Night, though I did like the dancefloor citypop of Fan, the expert mix of happy and sad in One Last Time, and the jazzy flair of Love Is Bitter, you can’t do much better for a hidden gem than the confident, movie-soundtrack worthy, anthemic Girls Are Back, which I think perfectly captures the magic of SNSD. Can you really beat “we’re gonna break some hearts tonight, we’re gonna make some noise tonight?” Nope.
Lil’ Touch isn’t exactly a Girls’ Generation song, as it was released with only five of the members, but it’s basically considered one, so I included it. As their discography goes, it’s not the most unique, but it’s still quite solid. Part of that is due to the girls’ vocals, of course, which elevate whatever material they have, but the chorus is genuinely catchy and got stuck in my head. I think that if it wasn’t up against such heavy hitters in their other singles, it would be more highly regarded.
Besides Lil’ Touch, Forever 1 arrives both five years after SNSD’s last comeback and exactly fifteen after their debut with Into The New World, and arrive it does. This was the song that made me a fan of Girls Generation, and for good reason. From the “we’re not stopping!” to the utterly, delightfully sappy profession of love both to their fans and to each other to the “I will love you in my next life”, Forever 1 is a gleeful celebration of friendship and a decade and a half spent in an industry almost impossible to succeed in. Really, it’s everything I love about k-pop in one song, so how could I not love it?
From Forever 1, the album, I wasn’t sure what to choose as a hidden gem. There’s the nostalgic Seventeen, the fast-paced beat of Villain, the chill synths of Paper Plane, and the constant genre shifting of You Better Run (which harkens back to I Got A Boy). It’s a very strong return. Lucky Like That wasn’t technically a single but BTS footage was released as a special video to mark Girls’ Generation’s 16th anniversary. It’s a pretty standard pop song, truth be told, but with the video, it's undeniably charming and made me feel undeniably nostalgic. It was great to see them all smile and have fun performing together, and I wish more groups would have videos like this. I saved it for last, and it was a great place to end.
My Top 5 songs are Into The New World, Hoot, Lion Heart, Top Secret, and Girls Are Back with Show Girls, Love Is Bitter, and Goodbye as honorable mentions. Girls Generation gets a 9.25 out of 10 from me, which I’m not surprised about. There’s a reason I wanted this to be my first review of the new year, and it wasn’t just because they’re a huge group, but also because I had a feeling it would be a lot of fun.
(Please enjoy this photo of the girls celebrating Tiffany’s birthday a couple years ago!) Next time, we’ll be back to our regularly scheduled programming with a one-week boy group. I’m excited about this one, so I’ll see you then! Tchüss!

04/11/2023 (Scarlet Dream/Scarlet Memory)
Poem by: Queennie (sadfragilegirl)
I was supposed to be sleeping but I have other plans.
I was scrolling to look something when I saw something...
Something that it began to stop moving that the clock has stopped ticking.
That's when my heart stopped...as I saw a new memory.
A new memory that it could cut deep into my heart.
And it's no other than....
...The one that gave me happiness and brought me to a safe haven for all these years that held me so dear.
That's when...
The skies are began to turn into bloody red.
Trapped myself to a world full of nightmares full of dread.
Like I was being a tied up by red threads while I stand up myself and do nothing but seeing my happiness are taken away.
Tears suddenly began to fall.
Heart's pounding with anxiety like there's no tomorrow.
The scenes are turning red--scarlet red that is.
Memories between me and my happiness that held me so dear are flashing my mind.
And that's when...
I let myself to break myself in tears as my heart has began to shatter like glass.
Yes, my imaginary horror has finally come to life.
And that's how...
How I named this dream...
The dream about my happiness that held me so dear has fallen apart.
I call it...
A Scarlet Dream/Scarlet Memory.
No one is safe for me.
Behind The Poetry:
This is based on my real life experience after I heard the news about Ravi's departure from the Kpop boy group VIXX due to Military Service Issue Scandal last April 11, 2023. And that caused me such broken hearted reactions.
Among the news of Kpop members decided to leave group I saw for all these years as a Kpop fan with Autism for all these long years, that one took a toll on me and I was feeling affected big time.
Because why? Among my Kpop ultimate biases that I love, Ravi is the Kpop ultimate bias that held me so dearly into my heart and it brought me a deeper connection to him. Originally, last 2017...Ravi was my bias wreaker of VIXX but thanks to his R.EB1RTH mixtape and knowing that he produced, composed and wrote lyrics in most VIXX songs, I became his ultimate bias of VIXX.
When I listened to VIXX songs and Ravi songs, it made me imagine myself about being the main character in every Anime. He brought me such inspiration.
When he decided to leave VIXX because of his scandal, I was so devastated, just like Hongbin leaving VIXX due to the scandal last 2020 of August. Leaving me heartbroken.
Few months ago, I saw EXO-Ls were hating Ravi because of Kai's absense of Cream Soda MV and I was so angry. And there's STARLIGHTs (VIXX fans) are decided to continue supporting them without Ravi and Hongbin.
Thus, the news about Ravi's departure from the group VIXX has now given to a special name that I come with few months ago. That the unique name will be named as the only one to be only to be called that no one else will be named it in the bad new memories in the future.
And that's Scarlet Dream/Scarlet Memory.
Remember: Ravi's departure from VIXX is the only dream and memory that I can be ONLY be named as a Scarlet Dream/Scarlet Memory and no one else will be named such as that when another heartbreaking and sad Kpop news will be having in the future.
~Queennie
