Sometimes I forget the child characters are played by grown men
Like. I'm drawing the little girl whose mother possessed her and then I pull up a photo for reference because I'm bad at drawing
And then I'm met with a bearded bald man

someone asked me what if adam and steve switched vampire and werewolf...
And then since my monsters are purposefully not much visually different because of metaphors, I went more traditional vampire and werewolf...
and then I got carried away...

“tree” - Jegulus microfic - @into-the-jeggyverse - 608 words
“santa claus” - 25 Days of Jegumas - Day 22 - @noblehouseofgay
James and Regulus had a long and exhausting, but very productive day. They spent the afternoon at the Christmas Tree Farm picking out their tree. They found a lovely tree, got it home, got it up and placed in the corner of the living room and they spent the evening decorating it.
Decorating the tree with James was amazing. They put on Christmas music, had a glass of wine and slowly filled the tree with lights and baubles and ribbons and, of course, a star on the top. It was cliché and cheesy and perfect and Regulus absolutely loved it. He missed out on so many of the classic Christmas moments growing up, so he loves when he can indulge in moments like these.
The evening was lovely, it was the afternoon that was overly exhausting. Walking through the trees and picking the perfect one with James was also a moment Regulus loved. But then there was the labor of actually getting the tree, helping the guys wrap it, getting it on the car, etc. Granted, Regulus didn’t help much—but it looked exhausting.
On top of that, there were people everywhere. The tree farm is beside a Christmas Market that also has a Santa’s Village, so there was a lot going on and a lot of people and it was mentally and socially draining. Regulus doesn’t do well in places like that and thankfully James knows that very well, so they only walked through the market and past Santa’s Village to get to the trees, but didn’t stay long at either.
Regulus will admit, he did pause for a moment at Santa’s Village. Not because he wanted to go in, but just because it’s one of those silly, classic Christmas moments that he never got to experience as a kid.
“What are you thinking about?” James pulls Regulus from his thoughts.
“Santa Claus.” Regulus says simply. He puts his empty wine glass on the coffee table so he can cuddle closer to James on the couch.
“Huh. Not at all what I thought you were going to say.” James wraps his arm around Regulus. “Why are you thinking about Santa?”
“The Santa’s Village today. Just got me thinking about some of the things I missed out on as a kid. I never wrote letters to Santa or got to sit on Santa’s lap—"
“We could have gone in!” James cuts him off.
“I don’t want to do it now.” Regulus rolls his eyes.
“Are you sure?”
“James. I have absolutely no desire to sit on a strange man’s lap and pretend to tell him what I want for Christmas.” Regulus deadpans.
“Well, you can always sit on my lap and tell me what you want for Christmas.” James offers cheekily.
“Oh, can I now?” Regulus takes James’ wine glass and reaches across him to put it on the end table while also lifting one leg over him so he’s straddling James’ lap.
James’ hands immediately settle on Regulus’ hips. “I err… I don’t think this is how you’re supposed to sit on Santa’s lap.”
“You never said you were going to be Santa. You just said I could sit on your lap. I’ll never turn down that offer.”
“I could be Santa if you wanted.” James tells him somewhat sarcastically while wiggling his eyebrows. Regulus is quiet for a moment, and he tilts his head slightly, staring at James. “You’re thinking about it aren’t you!?” James eyes get a little wider and he lightly squeezes Regulus’ hips.
“What can I say? You look good in red.” Regulus tells him. “And you’d look good with a beard.” He run his finger along James’ jaw before leaning in for a kiss.
