you guys got back from hawaii two days ago, but the triplets are staying in boston for an extra week before going back to LA.

the three of them stand there panting, while marylou looks at them with her hands on her hips. it doesn’t end there; trevor comes running in and jumps on your bed.

his tail wags as he climbs onto your lap, leaving kisses on your face.

nick turns to her. “she’ll survive, mom.”

she sighs, walking out of your vision. your brothers stare at you like you’re in trouble. “we need to talk.” chris says, crossing his arms.

you clear your throat, trying not to barf everywhere. “w-what do you mean?”

as if that’s any better.

walking hand in hand, you and nate make way through the local park that's bare at this hour of the night. “so you’re telling me i should look out for threats?”

“yeah.” you smile, looking up at him before he gives you a sneak-attack kiss.

he sighs. “i’m kind of glad we don’t need to sneak away anymore. it got so depressing.”

you laugh, followed by an exhale. words cannot explain how much you love this kid. even though it was a hard launch to the public, you’re happy that you can show him off now. to make sure people know he’s yours and you’re his.

hopefully, no threats or killings take place by your overprotective siblings.

while pregnant…

you often found yourself walking on eggshells around shauna cuz of her mood swings, especially when she was hungry, which was pretty much almost every day 😭 if u wanted to stay out of trouble, the only acceptable responses to any of her requests were either "yes, baby" or nodding silently.

and if you happened to get into an argument, your best bet was to either shut the fuck up or just roll your eyes, unless you wanted her to be passive-aggressive towards you for the entire day.

although even if she got mad at you, her corny ass would always end up snuggling into you at night, holding you tightly before falling asleep. sometimes she’d “angrily” turn her back to you for the first ten minutes, but then she’d grab one of your arms and place it around her waist, wanting you to cuddle her lmaooo

after finding out she was pregnant, you began marking down the weeks with a sharp rock on the walls of the attic to keep track of her pregnancy.

around the sixth month, you began assisting her with skinning the animals and cutting the meat. initially, you didn't enjoy the task, but you didn't want her to become even more tired than she already was. therefore, you asked her to show you how to do it, and once she did, you took over the chore to ease her burden.

you'd also make sure to cut her food portions a little bigger while making yours smaller. of course, you didn't tell her this cuz you knew she'd get mad at you for nearly starving yourself at her expense, even though she needed it the most.

whenever she was stressed or exhausted, she loved it when you’d let her sit between your legs, her back against your chest, while you massaged her scalp as she closed her eyes.

during your free time, you’d spend hours sewing beanies and tiny socks for the baby using fabric from some of your jackets and cotton shirts, as you knew he was likely to be born during the winter.

as her belly gradually started to grow, you began talking to it, hoping the baby would recognize your voice once he was born.

you approached shauna's belly, softly caressing it on the sides with your hands. "shippy, if you can hear me, kick your mom for me," you said with a faux serious expression, only to receive a punch on the shoulder. "ow!" you exclaimed, rubbing your shoulder with a pout on your face.

after giving birth…

you hated to admit it given the circumstances, but you were excited af 😭 as soon as the baby was born, you’d take care of him as if he was your biological son.

even though shauna loved her baby and wanted to spend all day with him, she was actually relieved that you were so obsessed with him too. your preoccupation gave her some much-needed time to herself or simply to rest throughout the day.

you also knew that hungry shauna and restless shauna = everyone’s worst nightmare 😭 so, if necessary, you’d let her sleep if the baby started crying at night, rocking him to sleep on your own.

it became a common occurrence for her to wake up in the morning and see you fast asleep next to her, with the baby tightly cradled in your arms, his tiny head resting against your chest.

you'd often offer to take care of him. in fact, you wouldn't even offer—you'd just literally take the baby from shauna’s arms at random and play with him, rubbing his belly or nuzzling your nose against his face. his response would often be giggling or slapping your face with his little hands.

“ow! stop poking my eye!” you exclaimed, pretending to be stern but unable to hide the smile on your face. the baby just looked at you with wide, innocent eyes, his tiny hand still hovering near your face. “you think that’s funny, huh?” you asked as you tickled his belly, causing him to burst into a fit of giggles. shauna watched from a distance, a soft smile on her face as she watched the two of you bond.

when his teeth started to grow, you carved several animal-shaped figures from unused pieces of wood that were too small to be used for the bonfire. after thoroughly washing them in the lake, you would then give them to the baby for him to chew on.

although he’d usually prefer to chew on your fingers and hands.

"babe, our little shippy seems to have inherited some interesting traits from his mom," you began, a mischievous twinkle in your eye as you watched the baby gnawing on your hand.

shauna glanced at you, curiosity piqued. "oh? which ones?"

you chuckled, gently pulling your hand away from the baby’s mouth. "i made all these cute little wooden animals for him to chew on, but he seems to prefer biting me instead."

shauna laughed, a light blush dusting her cheeks as she saw you pointing at a freshly given hickey she had left on your skin last night while tai was spending time with the baby.

"well, the apple didn’t fall far from the tree, i suppose," she retorted with a grin on her face.

"it didn’t, it actually fell a bit too close if you ask me," you started, "van was playing with him yesterday and out of nowhere he bit her nose so hard it left a mark. i literally had to drag little shippy away from her face because he wouldn’t let go."

shauna chuckled at your story, shaking her head in amusement. she then looked at the baby, her voice filled with affection. "good job, sweetie," she cooed at him while pinching his cheeks, causing you to roll your eyes at her.

you then turned to the baby as well, your voice softening. "but we should probably start teaching you some manners, shouldn’t we? biting people and leaving marks on them isn’t very nice," you said while side-eyeing your girlfriend.

she then looked back at you, a mischievous grin on her face. "although, i can't say i mind leaving a few more marks on you," she teased, giving you a kiss on the neck.

with a blush on your face, you quickly covered your son's eyes with your hand. "shauna, there's a baby in the room," you complained in a playful tone. "ow!" you exclaimed, pulling your hand away from his face as you felt his little growing teeth bite forcefully.

shauna couldn’t help but laugh at your reaction, her eyes twinkling with amusement. “well, he’s just learning from the best,” she said, giving your hand a sympathetic rub where the baby had bitten you.

she leaned in to give you a quick peck on the cheek. “and just so you know,” she added with a playful smirk, “i think he’s already showing signs of being as stubborn as you.”

feigning shock, you retorted, “shauna, you’re setting a bad example for our son,” earning another round of laughter from her. the baby, oblivious to your banter and the clear discomfort on your face from the previous bite, simply continued to stubbornly chew on your hand, his tiny teeth leaving their mark.

Gooseworx has said this series is mostly focused on characters rather than lore, and from what we know, i truly believe it. I don’t think any of the current characters will abstract because of this.

Pomni: we already know her deal pretty well, as we’ve already had her episode. uuuh if anyone’s going to do something important lore wise it will probably be her as she’s the main character but can’t rlly tell what that may be. to review ep 2 though she’s an outcast who has felt like she was nothing and is a logical thinker.

(Kinger and Zooble will there their focus episode but i put it in order of who was revealed to be the ep 3 focus first)

Zooble: From their design (the entire motif is it can be changed at any time) and the fact she doesn’t know his gender, we’re dealing with some pretty clear identity issues. Friends with Gangle seems cool excited for next episode to learn more about them!

Kinger: One of the most interesting characters so far. I feel like we will get to learn more about abstraction though Queenie, the X-ed out door that looks like a female version of him. If i had to guess, since Gooseworx said they were not siblings, they were a couple. (Also judging by his age and the fact he could have been married, he may have been a father yeowch imagine that) I can see the common theory of the insect collection implying he was a coder before getting trapped, but i could also see him being some random guy who just likes bugs lol. He seems like really sweet guy behind his constant anxiety and disassociating.

 Gangle: (My faveorite human rn) Her mask design can be interpreted in a lot of ways but it’s clear that the happy mask isn’t her real personality. My take on it rn is she doesn’t wana bother people with her stuff so she pretends she’s happy? She seems easily embarrassed and def has self esteem lower than the last circle of hell. What’s interesting though is she’s willing to stand up for herself from time to time, even though she’s easily shot down after.

Ragatha: Waaaay too nice for her own good. Also probably has self esteem lower than the last circle of hell and bases her self worth of others approval.  Though she’s been here the second longest, she seems a lot more normal than Kinger. Makes me question how long apart their introductions have been. Probably copes via escapism.

Jax: I can see why everyone is very interested in him cause me too. He seems like the only fourth wall breaky guy (unless you count Caine cause of his intro at the pilot)which is rlly interesting how did he figure out more than everyone else? what’s with the keys? i have no clue lmao. He’s an asshole who makes the best of his situation by torturing everyone else. At the end of the day though, he’s a human and was sad at kaufmo’s abstraction but he probably isolates himself so it would probably be the same for anyone

Why you did not ask? Too bad i’m info dumping. First, he’s the main antagonist and alongside Pomni, the commercial face (or lack their of haha teeth and eye joke) of the series. he’s an important character and loved by many. (and hated equally if not more aside the point lmaooo)

Yes, gooseworx can lie about stuff but I think she’s smarter than to lead this heavy into Caine depth/ angst territory if there wasn’t going to be anything On top of that, the entire purpose of the timeline post was so we know our faveorite characters weren’t getting treated poorly. It’s unlike for a character based show to suddenly drop such a major character for some random other guy were introduced to later or smth. i mean cmon there’s three episodes after all the humans at least one of them has to be focused on my boy.

Caine: I believe he really does have good intentions and wants to help but just does not understand people at all. This means he’s like an anxiety disorder; it wants to help, solves some issues but creates 500 more. Judging by the Tumblr post, loneliness may play a big part in what’s to come? I’ve always had a feeling his front was extremely fake and his VA saying “breaks keyfable” (an act that pretends it’s true) supports that theory. Episode two gives some insecurity vibes when Zooble didn’t want to go on the adventure. I find that pretty interesting cause he didn’t care at all if people went on the gloink adventure or not. Maybe he puts some adventures over others and he could have been proud of the candy adventure cause more time and care was put into it and he made a new AI. Why did he blue screen? i feel like he could have some blockages on what he can say built in though im not sure why he was blocked then if he even was. one of the biggest questions i have ab him currently tbh. what’s with him grabbing his cane like that in ep 2? if i had to guess simply be nervous = that? His VA also knows some depth to him even though his focus episode is likely going to be at least one of the last 3 episodes, which they have not gotten to recording yet. You know what this means Caine angst solidarity club? Sad Caine so more fan angst appetizers before the main cannon feast let’s friccin go‼️‼️⁉️⁉️

When you first transferred here, everyone just thought you were silent; that was what you wanted, actually, but it never lasted long enough. It was only a couple of weeks before you had to say something in front of them, and the longer you waited to speak, the more anxious you were to finally break the silence-- and anxiety was what made your stammer show up in the first place.

In those weeks of silence, Eddie had found a way to fall for you without getting to talk to you at all. Amazingly, even after you humiliated yourself in front of the entire English class and became the laughingstock of Hawkins High, he still asked you out; you rejected him the first time, actually, convinced it was a joke. Then, when you figured out it wasn't a joke, you rejected him again because you were too nervous to say yes.

Technically, you never said yes to that first date... he showed up at your house, with flowers and a blanket and a packed picnic basket, and you joined him on your own front lawn. And yes, he made you stammer-- and blush, and laugh. From that day on, you had a permanent seat at the Hellfire table at lunch, with Eddie's arm draped over your shoulders.

Of course, not every day could be perfection. There was still Jason.

"Hey, freaks," Jason greeted you all as he walked by, looking incredibly proud of that incredibly low-hanging fruit.

"Keep moving, shitstain," Dustin called back with a roll of his eyes.

"That's rich coming from you, freshman-- did you just get out of diapers or what?" Jason retorted.

For some reason, that really pissed you off, probably because you could remember being new here too. You knew you shouldn't say anything-- you hardly ever did, knowing what would happen if you opened your mouth-- but for once you wanted to speak up for something you cared about. Or, someone. "B-b-back off!" you blurted out. The whole table, and Jason's crew of jocks, went silent. Then, they started laughing.

Your face heated up and your eyes watered as you looked down. "Nice one, d-d-d-d-dork!" Jason imitated with a loud cackle. Dustin and Mike looked guilty, like it was somehow their fault; Eddie started to get up out of his seat at the table, but you squeezed his shoulder.

"D-don't," you whispered to Eddie. "He's j-j-just trying t-to get you in t-trouble. L...Lll--"

You were gonna say 'leave him alone', but 'L's were the hardest. You didn't stammer on this, specifically, but you got... stuck. And you hated it most of all, it made you feel like a complete lllllloser.

"Oh, look-- I bet she's whispering sweet nothings in his ear," Jason noticed you talking to your boyfriend, putting on a mocking impression with a high-pitched voice as he continued: "D-d-d-do me, Munson!"

A hand on his shoulder wasn't nearly enough to stop Eddie after that; he all but leapt out of his seat and pounced on Jason, taking him to the ground.

He got a few hits in, but it was only a few seconds before Jason's douche army was all over him; honestly, they would've probably really hurt him if there hadn't been teachers nearby to break it up.

The other thing about teachers being nearby, though, is that they saw Eddie technically 'start it.' Of course, they'd never give detention to a basketball star like Carver, and they were always looking for excuses to bust the stoner-slash-super-senior.

You tried to sweeten the deal, though, as repayment for him getting himself detention to defend your honor: you wrote him a note that you paid another delinquent to smuggle in to him.

4. What general Spicy Headcanons do you have?

-Eramis is Extremely Sexy by Eliksni standards. They only get more fertile as they age, and because Eramis is old and yet still in prime health, she's clearly showing off that she's got the Good Genes and is pinging all those subconscious sexual favoritism triggers for Good Mate. Pair that with the fact that she is now Kell- aka the top of the hierarchy, she who gets her pick of mates and has no limit on the amount she can keep- and you have a recipe for her being mega sexy. She was considered pretty in a very traditional, pre-Great Machine way back on Riis (as she has a boxy muzzle rather than a rounded one, which is what became the beauty standard during the Golden Age), but post-Whirlwind?? Hooo boy. Too bad this is when she became the least interested in fucking bc of trauma reasons lmaooo

-She's dominant to everyone bar Athrys, but because she likes to take care of her partners first and foremost, not bc she craves pure control. She's a gentle, firm dom who's liberal with her praise (to Eliksni, anyways) and good at keeping a sharp eye on what they need. Athrys is the only one she submits to bc Athrys was her heartmate of many years, and now she can't do that with anyone else w/out being reminded of her and missing her. She's very comfortable with putting people in their place, but I don't think that she'd ever be able to bring herself to cause harm to one of her partners, even if they asked for it. She's a caretaker, not a sadist. THAT BEING SAID, that does not include rough handling- THAT she can do

-Much like fish, Eliksni can change sex as needed, but she generally sticks with the female morph, even though her gender identity verges towards the nb. The reason why I said that she's ambivalent towards this layout is because on one hand, it's what she's the most used to using, but on the other hand, the reason why she sticks with it is because she used to struggle a lot with carrying clutches to term on account of how small she is (in comparison to other Eliksni), so she was never really able to utilize the male morph when she was with Athrys and they were actively focusing on producing clutches of their own. On the OTHER hand, however, she's very very good at utilizing her ovipositor to its fullest extent of her pleasuregiving capabilities, so she's very pleased with that. On the last hand, she fucking hates ovulation so if you're sticking out a heat cycle with her, be prepared to hear her complaining a lot in the phase between ovulation getting induced and her actually laying the eggs in you

-Very good at prepping smaller partners for getting fucked on account of being that smaller partner used to getting fucked. When she first pairbonded with Athrys, they had to spend a better part of their first cycle together just prepping her enough for her to be able to take Athrys's ovipositor without causing pain, so she places a lot of value on foreplay. If you're impatient then good fucking luck bc she's stubborn and she'd much rather get you off multiple times to ensure you're loose and wet and ready enough for her before you're even allowed to THINK about touching her ovipositor.

-Oh yeah, on the topic of humanfucking: she's aware that blowjobs are a thing, but absolutely refuses to believe they're real because she cannot fathom letting teeth get that close to her genitals. No thanks, she's fine, she'll pass. The appeal for humans that she DOES begrudgingly get is the fact that human women look very soft and warm and fun to hold and squish and dote on, but again- she's not going to admit to that, even to herself

-The overall shape of her ovipositor looks like that of the isonade model from hodge podge entourage. Her vaginal opening is a tight slit right behind it, with very reduced to near absent inner folds- though the few times she molted into the male morph, these became more noticible. Though the lens that I see them through are, uh, EXTREMELY arocoded because I myself am aro, so I yearn for this really specific dynamic where two characters deeply trust each other and are sexually intimate rather than actually having romantic feelings for one another, and that makes it a bit more complicated. I'll list them all out here

-Aeris(OC)/Taniks [nonromantic enemies-to-fuckbuddies/accidental husbands]: this is a meme ship that accidentally became a thing after Aeris bit Taniks on the throat to distract him in a DnDestiny session, because I forgot the popular fanon where that is basically a marriage proposal, and then Taniks reciprocated with a legit claiming/mating bite afterwards. That then made me realize that they're perfect for each other because Aeris is an aro weirdo who's an extreme masochist with zero desire for typical relationships and Taniks is a sadist who desperately needs some form of partner but is way too insane for most normal people. They accidentally balance each other out and I have a lot of fun with it; i've even written a fic for them exploring this dynamic a bit, minus the accidental husbands (which can be found right here)

-Eramis/Athrys (romantic): BOI I DIE!!! SHIT BOI. I want Athrys lore to drop during Revenant SOOO FUCKING BAD you dont even fucking know. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE BUNGIE GIVE US SOME LESBIAN HAPPY ENDINGS

-O14: everyone loves O14. No need to explain. They're husbands ur honour

-Osiris/Felwinter (platonic): The specific vibe of this one is that I hc Osiris as a trans man who did his transition via Light, but transitioning really fucking sucks in that it makes you Incredibly Fucking Horny while still being wayyy too uncomfortable in your own body for sex with another human being to feel good. In Osiris's case, Felwinter was fine with helping because he didn't see the point in letting him suffer unnecessarily, and Osiris was okay with it because Felwinter was demisexual and thus had zero interest in his body, so he was 'safe'. Power dynamics weren't an issue either bc Osiris being rezzed in his 50s meant that there's no major power gap between them like with most mentor/student relationships. -Felwinter/Timur (romantic): Idk I just think they're neat. I love the idea of a freak who's obsessed with Braytech to fall in love with another freak who's literally Braytech. They're fun :)

-Eris/Drifter (platonic): They're QPPs to me and you can't tell me otherwise. Yes I know how they are in canon but just let me have this okay. Please. Yes they fuck but it's entirely a platonic 'let me help you get comfortable in your own skin again/i'm happy to blow off some energy' dynamic over anything else

-Drifter/Shin Malphur (??): im gonna be honest i barely think of this ship bc im not a shin dude, but I love the idea of them having romantically charged hatefuck interactions that just never get a solid closure on what they mean to each other because of how the two of them are. Also they're both trans so its t4t nonsense going on here on top of it all lmao

-Eris/Ikora (romantic): IM INSANE ABOUT THEM. Every interaction they have in game is soooo 'exes that fell apart because of tragic life events, not because they stopped being in love with each other' to me. I love the idea that the Hellmouth was what broke them up and that they've just been aching to get back together this whole time, but Eris needed time to heal without thinking about romance and she's convinced herself that Ikora is still in love with the person she used to be vs the person she's become when Ikora is, in reality, still very much in love with her and aching to let her know, but Eris's mental health and recovery is paramount so she's still just... waiting for her, in agony bc she can't help her directly without Eris pushing her away to avoid the hurt. Drifter's working on it for her, but...it's slow going

-Eramis/Taniks (platonic): This one can basically be summed up as two very private, very traumatized genderqueer individuals making a pact to fuck each other through their heats because one of them only trusts the other, and said other can't sleep with someone who actually wants to care for her without thinking about her lost wife and getting depressed over it. Taniks is only comfortable revealing her feminine self around Eramis, and Eramis is too busy trying to wrangle Taniks's horribly undersocialized ass during this whole ordeal to remember how much she misses Athrys. It works out, until it doesn't

-Misraaks/Taniks (enemies to heatmates, very much neither platonic nor romantic): I'm going to be honest here, the reasoning behind this ship is mostly 'I want to see these two snarling at each other as they fuck and then awkwardly having to deal with the consequences, those consequences being unexpected hatchlings' and that's about it

-Uldren/Crow/Jolyon (romantic): They're a fucking disaster. I'm watching this car crash through opera goggles with the utmost sympathy for Jol. Deepest apologies about your cringefail boyfriend buddy

-Mara/Sjur (romantic): OUGHGHGHHGHGHHHHHHHH BOI I CRY

8. If possible would you let your guardians have kids?

-Lmfao, no. I'm a big fan of the Traveler's decision to spay/neuter everyone it rezzes, and I'm fine with sticking with that. Marcie is the only one who's eligible for childcare anyways, an the Bloodborne universe, Marcie DOES end up with a wife and an adopted kid or two after she kills Aeris, who became the next god of the nightmare, but in D2 she remains childless, outside of acting as a House Light minder in her free time. Aeris is perpetually older brother coded and very content with that role, Viper-4's kids are a whole fuckload of critically endangered venomous snakes, Petrichor-12 feels like they don't deserve to have children of their own, and Ashe should never be allowed near a child because she's going to either give that little fucker a beer, a gun, or both

There’s a quiet murmur when you step off the elevator. The heels of your shoes click softly as you walk down the hall and into the space your open office occupies.

The office had been decorated with only a few valentine’s decorations: a string of paper hearts lining every doorway and window pane, red twirling streamers hanging from the vents in the ceiling. It’s only a bit, but you pity the poor soul who would have to go around taking them down – other departments have done a way better job at decorating than yours has.

The soft murmur grows to a buzz and quiets when you step onto the floor and everyone’s head’s turn to you. You stand at the entrance for a minute, feeling a little put on the spot by the sudden attention and the fact that mostly everyone in today is standing around your desk.

Brinny’s head pops up from the gaggle of co-workers crowding your desk, a smile blooming on her face when she spots you.

“Alright you vultures, go away!” The shorter girl waves her hands at your Officemates, “Back to work, shoo.”

Quite aware of everyone’s eyes on you, you walk quickly over to your desk. Immediately, you see what’s got everyone’s attention and why you’re suddenly the star of the morning.

Laying in a pretty arrangement on your desk is a bouquet of flowers. An assortment of Ranunculi in pinks, reds and whites, wrapped delicately in red florist’s paper and tied with white ribbons at the stems. It’s not a large bouquet, but it’s bright enough to catch anyone’s eye.

“I think they’re Bloomingdales... Someone definitely likes you.” Brinny picks up the bouquet, the pretty red paper around it crinkling softly in her hold. “There’s no card...” she frowns, trying to peek into the bouquet.

You smile anyway, not needing a card because you already know who sent them. Seokjin had been busy since the weekend, complaining that Valentine’s Day would be the busiest for him and the other Cupids in the area. You’ve barely seen him for the past couple days, which doesn’t bother you—it does a bit—he has his job to do. The flowers are a pleasant surprise, though, he’d told you not to expect anything until tomorrow because he’d be too busy to do much else.

Even if you’re unsure that he would see it, you text him your thanks and settle down for work.

An hour later, the flowers are sitting in a nice glass vase Brinny found in the store room, and you’re halfway through your emails. You’re gossiping with Brinny about anything you missed while working from home, when your phone buzzes near your hand. The silly photo Seokjin set for his contact lights up on your screen.

“Hey, sweet girl,” It’s a bit noisy where he is when you answer, and for a moment you can hear him talking to someone else before it gets quieter. “That text was vague...what am I being thanked for?”

You make a confused sound in your throat, brows drawing together, “The...the flowers?”

“...what? I didn’t—send me a photo.” Seokjin’s gone quickly after that, line cutting off and you’re left blinking at your lock screen.

You stare at the bouquet for a moment, pondering, before sending a photo of it to Seokjin. You’re wondering who sent it to you. It’s a sweet gesture, that maybe would’ve worked on you three months ago before a certain Cupid came along.

It wasn’t until lunch time, when you’re out of the office. You’re sitting across from Brinny, in a deli close by, as she goes on about upcoming projects. You’re stuffing your face with the most amazing ham and cheese sandwich when Seokjin finally sends his reply.

[12:25] Sharpshooter 🏹: That’s the worst flower arrangement I’ve ever seen in my life.

[12:25] And I have lived.

You roll your eyes at his dramatics, dusting your hands before picking the phone up.

[12:26] You: Idkk, I think it’s pretty cute.

The bell on the door of the deli jingles as it opens, a cold gust of February air disrupting the warmth of the deli. You and Brinny are sitting near the back, so you don’t see the person coming your way until they’re right in front of you and speaking.

“Cute?”

You startle at the sudden voice, as does Brinny, who’s gaze flickers between you and Seokjin – who looks like he ran here as fast as his legs could carry him—with raised brows.

“I can’t believe you’d call that assault on my eyes cute. Ranunculus.” He huffs, plopping himself down in the chair next to Brinny, who scoots her chair a little closer to the wall. She nudges your shoe with hers, eyes darting to Seokjin in question. You’ve never told Brinny about him, the only people who know are the boys. Which is — you now realize — why everyone at the office was buzzing around your desk this morning.

“You know what’s cute? Peonies. Roses are outdated and overused, Bloomingdales even more so. What is it, the 19th century?” Seokjin takes a breath, while you watch him, thoroughly amused. He turns his head, finally seeing Brinny next to him, “Hello.”

“Hi?” Brinny laughs out her response, still looking confused. “And you are...?”

Seokjin looks mildly offended, but gives a charming smile, “Seokjin.” He points a finger at you, “Boyfriend.”

Brinny looks confused, then shocked and then she reaches over the table to swat at your arm. “You have a boyfriend?”

There’s warmth flushing your cheeks and ears, but before you can answer, Seokjin is suddenly on his feet again. Saying that he only took a moment to come here, and that he’d see you later before he’s back out the door and out of your sight.

“Where’d you even find that guy? He doesn’t even look real!”

You hum softly to yourself, fitting your key into the lock of your door. Brinny had a bunch of questions you’d barely manage to answer, having to give her a watered down version of how you and Seokjin actually met.

When you enter your apartment, you’re almost sent sprawling to the floor. In your path was the biggest bouquet of peonies you’ve ever seen in your life. There’s a distinct aroma of steak cooking, and the underlying smell of vanilla scented candles.

“Jin?” You call, moving carefully around the bouquet to get out of your shoes. “Did you rob a florist?”

Seokjin pokes his head out of your kitchen, a smirk on his mouth. “No.” He waves you forward with a hand. When you reach him, he cups your cheeks with his hands and kisses you. You chuckle into it, running your fingers through the soft hair at the nape of his neck.

“You have to admit that peonies are way better.” He says when he pulls away, taking your hand and leading you into the kitchen where he’s set up an early dinner of steak, potatoes and steamed vegetables.

“Just say you’re jealous and we can move on.” You laugh at his rapidly reddening ears.

“I’m not.”

I might not be able to answer all of them at the moment because ~SPOILERS~ so sorry about that.

ASHA:

1. What was Asha like while she was working at the palace?

As a little girl growing up there, she mostly stayed in the castle guest room she and her mother were given and draw or read the hours away. Poor child was not as talkative and lively ever since her dream of becoming just like her father someday beside him was crushed. As she got older, Asha started offering help to Sakina and other workers in the castle, still keeping to herself.

If she has something in her mind, Asha is most likely to keep it to herself out of fear of being shut down.

She’s a girl who aspires to be more but is scared to get her hopes up in case they get crushed again. She’s really going to learn that it’s okay to “Reach for the Stars” and have hope. Even if it’s scary.

2. Why was she taken there and what are her opinions on it? Was she happy there?

Asha and Sakina were taken to the castle as a humble offer from the royals after their home was destroyed in a fire, along with her father’s life in it.

I mostly took inspiration of this idea from the line “If your home were to crumble….I’d let you live here for free.”

Magnifico explained it that since Tomás was his dear apprentice assistant for some time, it’s only right to look after his family after all he has done for him. Asha and her mom won’t have to worry about a thing and all they have to do is repay their kindness by offering their service in the castle. (I hear people who work in the castle have a higher chance of getting their wishes granted too :)

Asha’s opinion on the situation? She’s not sure about it. She’s grateful for the royals’ generosity and she finds it fair enough that they help at the castle. Buuuuut, there’s something so restricting about it that she can’t make sense. Their schedule has limited breaks and Asha could almost barely find the time and energy to draw or do whatever she likes. Neither does her mom.

(Also, her boss just stinks- But you didn’t hear that from me 🤫)

Plus, she strangely feels like someone is always watching her back or something…

3. Asha’s relationship with Sakina, Sabino and the Royal Couple.

Asha loves her mother and appreciates her effort, but she’s concerned of the fact that Sakina is no longer able to pursue her passion in being a seamstress. Meanwhile, Sakina is saddened that the spark in her daughter’s eyes has faded. She’s the one who tries to convince Asha to reconnect with her friends whom she drifted apart with. (Something that Asha procrastinates with too)

Fun fact! Sabino is not Asha’s paternal grandfather in this AU. He’s the kingdom’s retired royal advisor who’s friends with Tomás and has sort of watched Magnus grow up over the years until he inherited the throne. Because of Sabino’s relationship with her father, Asha visits him at least once a week and they treat each other like family.

(She has called him ‘Saba’ at one point and she wanted to just die right then and there. Lol. He didn’t mind.)

Asha views Amaya sort of like another mother figure who’s there to comfort her if she messes up. Amaya has actually persuaded her husband to take Asha as his assistant, claiming that the position would help her gain confidence and allow Asha to participate in helping Rosas just like she wanted. It’s not like she had other reasons for that. Nooooooooo……

Asha’s opinion on Magnifico isn’t….pretty. Mag puts his best face when they’re in public but ever since Asha became his assistant, Asha can already tell how irritated he is at her presence. He thinks she’s too intuitive like her dad. The poor girl feels like she’s walking on eggshells around this man.

3. What was her and her father’s relationship like with the stars and how did it change after his death?

As I said before, Tomás was the previous king’s apprentice and then Magnifico’s assistant for a few years. He would come back home a bit late in the night and shower his family with all the love like he hasn’t seen them in days. He’s a fun and chill guy whose high ambitions balances out Sakina’s more realistic view on life.

Tomás would tell Asha her favorite stories before she goes to bed and encourage her to create drawings and gifts and initiate with her 7 bestest friends. Other than working at the castle, Tomás is an astrologer and philosopher at heart with beliefs in Wishing Stars, and Asha dreams to grow up to be like him. Back then when she wasn’t afraid to dream big and hope for the best.

That was before tragedy struck of course…

4. Does Asha have something she sees herself doing? Anything for the future?

If she does, Asha doesn’t let herself hold onto it too much since the possibility of it is slim. At least that’s what she thinks. Boy, if only she knew my plot outline for her….

Now, it’s just awkward small-talk, not like before when they were the bestest friends.

Besides, Asha struggles to socialise with her old friends again due to that gap of unfamiliarity that time had made and she feels like she’s intruding into their lives anyway.

12. How do her cultural roots manifest in her everyday life?

Her old home has a European exterior and North African interior as it was said in the Wish art book. She’s also one to value hard-work, which is why the easy talents gifted by the king to his citizens give her some weird vibes. She’s also unnerved by how Rosas’ citizens are SO obsessed with the idea of having a wish granted one day.

Plus, Asha almost never goes out without at least some of her jewellery and her doodles in her sketchbook, I like to imagine, could be some references to the cool patterns and designs shown in the Wish Artbook.

13. Does Asha have a favourite memory with her dad?

Before the night skies strangely became too cloudy, Asha and Tomás would sit outside their house and stargaze, where he would tell her plenty of mythical stories about the magical beings that watch over them from above.

Whenever she gets to create and just be able to forget her worries even just for a little bit by sketching. Or just playing around with Valentino. Just doing anything just to see someone happy makes her feel all warm inside. Asha is very empathetic and wants others to not feel the same crushing loss she had. She’ll listen as much as they need to, even if the same treatment isn’t done to her.

1. What was Sueño’s life like in the Astral Realm?

As free as a baby deer in the forest and as ‘Hakuna Matata’ as life there could be. He was happy to be there, don’t get me wrong. There’s limited worries and fun with being a young starling just listening to the Wish flowers’ melody of “I Want” songs and looking into the sparkling rivers to human-watch in his universe.

But most often though, he daydreams on what it must feel like to go down there just like the other older and mature Wishing Stars.

2. Did he have a “legal guardian” responsible for him in childhood?

A star with lots of experience and has helped grant a very difficult but very special wish from the deepest heart is usually granted to become an “Alpha Star.” There are multiple from each universe and because of their experience, they usually look after and guide younger starlings.

They are also very special because they’re the only ones that can permanently grant a wish. “Non-Alpha Stars” can’t. Sueño had his universe’s “Alpha Stars” who helped guide him how wishes and his magic works.

3. What was the “Act of Love” that created him?

Yes, stars gain consciousness or are ‘born’ when a mutual and first Act of True Love between two mortals shoot up to the sky and magically brings a ball of burning gas to life. Platonic, familial, or romantic doesn’t really matter. From the time they are born, stars are familiar with the development or falls of that relationship that gave them life until the end.

Idk what to call those pair of two people yet without sounding weird. I don’t want to call them a star’s parents since there’s such thing as platonic love giving life to them. Aaaand that might be a bit awkward? (If y’all have an idea on what, I’d appreciate the help 😅)

Anyways, I’d like you to know that there would be a point that stars will eventually live out their ‘creators’ since they have a far longer lifespan. Unfortunately for some of them, very young stars, even those that were just born, could already have their ‘creators’ pass away. So they’re ‘orphaned’ in a way.

I may or may not be saying that Sueño is a star that gets uncomfortable with mentioning the idea about his pair of ‘creators.’

4. Do stars themselves feel romantic feelings and is it a common experience to feel with humans before?

Friendships with their wish-maker is common. Even when their job is done and they have to return, that doesn’t stop them from watching over their friend in the sky though. But romantically??

It’s not impossible and it’s not a crime to develop romantic feelings since one can’t help it. But it’s also highly NOT recommended to pursue a romance with a human as it would only further cloud their judgment, leading to biased choices that could cause severe consequences.

5. How do stars die and how does it affect them?

They can die, sure, but not in a very long while because of their lifespan of over a million years. I imagine they just die once their core gets weaker and weaker until it no longer has enough magic to hold their stardust together and their light just gets dimmer until they disintegrate.

The core of a Wishing Star is the most vital part of themselves and is the source of their Wish and Stellar Magic. If anything happens to it, it significantly causes negative effects to the star. Let’s just hope nothing bad happens to Sueño’s, am I right?

I’m not sure his prison can really be called a ‘room.’ But it’s enough to definitely trigger his claustrophobia. Actually, anything that makes him feel like he can’t move or feel imprisoned again makes him feel completely itchy and uncomfortable. In severe cases, it causes a panic attack.

Plenty actually. :D

He’s actually considered a bit of an oddball because he just has this unique fascination with humans and the wonder of visiting their realm at a very early age. The other stars usually are in no rush to become official wishing stars. They become one once they’ve answered “one important and special question” and had completed their own quest down in the Human Realm.

Yep, multiple times in his first few years of captivity. But at some point, you just have to accept that escape is futile in this scenario.

But if he were to choose his second favourite, it’s probably that one where this one young boy goes on an adventure on a flying ship in space to find a planet filled with treasure.

It’s kind of hard to do that when your subject is kept imprisoned in a dark-magic enchanted star-shaped tablet and is unwilling to cooperate.

The Royal Couple? Well obviously, what do you think? It makes their plan easier if their prisoner can’t communicate the typical way.

Amber woke up to her alarm ringing, and as she rubbed her sleepy eyes, she realized it was Monday morning. She let out a deep sigh, knowing that it would be a long day at school. As she exited her bed, she glanced at her closet, searching for her favourite sweatshirt. But to her dismay, it wasn't there.

"Where the fuck is it?" Amber muttered to herself.

She had to find it, she just had to. It was the one that you had given her as a present, and ever since you told her how much you loved it on her, it had become her absolute favourite. She searched through her closet again, hoping that it would magically appear. She even checked her drawers, under her bed, and in her laundry basket, but still no luck. Amber felt a wave of frustration building inside her as she realized that she might have to go to school without it.

"Ugh, why does this always happen to me?" Amber groaned as she pulled out a plain black hoodie from her closet. It wasn't the end of the world, she reminded herself. It was just a sweatshirt. But it was the one you gave her, damn it, and she wanted to wear it.

She checked the time on her phone and realized that she was already running late. With a resigned sigh, Amber slipped on the black hoodie and headed out the door.

Amber found herself struggling to concentrate in class, feeling bored and disinterested. To make matters worse, she had already started her morning off on the wrong foot, and the only thing that could improve her mood was seeing you — though she knew she wouldn't be able to until third block. As she zoned out, she barely registered when Wes leaned over to talk to her.

"Hey, Amber, you look grumpier than usual today," Wes said, trying to be funny.

Amber snapped back, "Thanks for pointing out the obvious, Wes. Maybe if this class wasn't so mind-numbingly boring, I'd have a reason to smile."

Wes raised his hands in surrender, realizing he had touched a nerve. The class continued in silence until Amber's phone vibrated in her pocket. She pulled it out to see a text from her girlfriend, causing a soft smile to spread across her face.

Seeing her sudden change in demeanour, Chad, who was sitting at the same table, piped up, "What got you so smiley, Amber? Did y/n text you?"

Wes and Chad chuckled, but it was clear they were just teasing her. Amber rolled her eyes and told them to shut up before she started typing a reply to her girlfriend.

As the minutes ticked by, both you and Amber continued to exchange messages, eagerly counting down the moments until you could be together again. Amber was so lost in conversation that she barely noticed the bell ringing, signalling the end of class. With a start, she realized that she needed to hurry to make it to the gym on time for PE. Quickly gathering her things, she rushed out of the classroom and made her way toward the gym, feeling her heart race with excitement at the thought of seeing you again.

As Amber made her way to the gym, her mind drifted back to the missing sweatshirt. She always wore it to PE, and now she was left without it. But worse than that, she knew that you would notice it was missing, and she felt bad for losing something that you had given her.

As she walked in, she saw her classmates getting ready for the class. They were all laughing and chatting, but Amber didn't feel like joining in. As Amber scanned the gym, she noticed that you were nowhere to be seen. Disappointed, she walked toward the lockers to get changed, hoping to see you there.

As Amber arrived at the lockers, she realized that you weren't there either. She quickly texted you asking where you were, but didn't receive a reply. She decided to get dressed and closed her locker, ready to head out to the gym.

Just as she was about to leave the locker room, you suddenly appeared from behind her and scared her.

"Jesus! What the fuck?" she exclaimed, jumping slightly. But as soon as she saw it was you, she relaxed and let out a laugh.

You immediately jumped into her arms, planting kisses all over her face, making her blush.

As Amber hugged you tightly, you continued to pepper her face with kisses, making her giggle uncontrollably. She then leaned in and gave you a quick kiss on the lips, savoring the feeling of your soft lips against hers.

But then, Amber's eyes fell on your sweatshirt, and she furrowed her brows in confusion. "Wait a minute," she said, mock-anger creeping into her voice. "Isn't that my sweatshirt?"

You looked down at the sweatshirt you were wearing and grinned sheepishly. "Uh, yeah. You left it at my place yesterday and I didn't want to say anything because it smells like you." You gave her your best puppy-dog eyes, hoping to win her over.

Amber looked at you with a mock stern expression before rolling her eyes and smiling. "I was looking for that all morning, you know," she teased. "But I guess now it'll smell like you too, so I'm okay with it." She leaned in to give you a sweet kiss on the lips. "But you better give it back to me after class or I’ll kill you," she said, her tone lighthearted and teasing. She didn't mind that you were wearing her hoodie; in fact, she found it endearing. But she couldn't resist a chance to tease you.

"Of course, of course," you said, grinning at her. "I wouldn't dare keep it from you. You know how much I value my life." You playfully crossed your heart with your fingers, pretending to be scared. "But can I at least wear it until the end of the day? It's so cozy, and it smells like you." You leaned in and nuzzled your nose against her neck, taking a deep breath to inhale the sweet scent of her hair.

"Mmm, sure. I suppose I can allow that for now," Amber said with a playful smirk. "But don't get too comfortable, because I'm coming for my sweatshirt after school." She ran her fingers through your hair and gave you a gentle kiss on the forehead before taking your hand and leading you towards the gym.

Hm hm hm. Clears throat

1. I chipped one of my front teeth on the first night of the first term of Year 8. I was in a new dorm and we were all introducing ourselves before lights out. I wanted to make the juniors more comfortable and ease the tension in the room so I tried doing this contortionist thing, tried to walk on my hands with my legs over my shoulders??? and I fell on my face. It was a few days before I turned 11 and I sobbed in the bathroom because I thought I would never get married because in every Wattpad book I read the female lead always had perfect teeth. It’s still chipped and I barely think about it except to laugh at this memory.

2. When I was much younger than mentioned above, my dad told me not to grow my nails out because my fingers are very long and my hand would look like a witch’s hand if I did. I didn’t listen for a long time and to the annoyance of my mom, I made a point of never cutting them till she forced me to. One time I accidentally scratched my brother while we were arguing and I had to beg him not to tell my mom cause she would’ve lost it. 3. I once ate 36 orange slices in one sitting. Again, year 8. I loved oranges and I guess I also kind of wanted attention?? It worked. Many people gave me their oranges to help me break the record and I had a great time.

4. I had a tendency to stand on the teacher’s desk and sing rather poorly and loudly. I used to do it so often, it’s shocking that I barely ever got caught. I don’t think I ever was actually. I’m not really sure why I used to do that, probably the boarding school brain rot. I could never do something like that now.

5. I used to be so obsessed with one of my sisters. I copied everything she did, in typical younger sister fashion. Looking back now, it’s lowkey unbelievable that she didn’t hate me😭😭. I used to talk about her in school all the time, I even let almost everybody read her poem book cause I thought everything she wrote was the pinnacle of poetry. A teacher seized it at one point cause my friend was reading it during class and I cried so hard lmaooo. Every slang she used, every book she read, every song she liked, I would go to school and refuse to shut up about it. When she went to uni I didn’t have ANY interests💀. I’m long recovered though. Thankfully🙏🏾.
